    DO NOT SHOP HERE! They took our money and now say the product is not available. WHAT???? I ordered two couches just a week ago and they were to be delivered tomorrow. Our credit card was charged for this purchase but when I called today to find out the delivery time, they say they are not available any longer. So when I asked to cancel and get the refund they are now taking me to their bankruptcy site to get the refund. I'M VERY UPSET AND WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN. If they knew they did not have the product WHY WAS MY CREDIT CARD CHARGE FOR THE PURCHASE. Absolute **!!!!

    I have tried several times making a claim for several issues and every time is gets denied. They always give the same excuse that is not cover regular wear and tear. So I will not recommend this to nobody do not buy.

    On September 6, 2025, I had a coffee table delivered to my home that was damaged. I called customer service and was told to send in pictures of the damaged table to a phone number provided to me. I took several photos of the damaged table and sent them to the phone number given to me. I was told by a Value City employee that the specific coffee table that was delivered damaged was in stock and a new not damaged coffee table would be delivered to my home and the damaged coffee table would be returned. I have made multiple attempts to contact customer service to resolve this issue and they are not responding back.

    STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. This is the absolute worse place to purchase furniture. I made a purchase (> $7K) on 11/1 for delivery on 11/22... 3 weeks later. I was notified via phone call on 11/17 that furniture was here (except 1 piece which would be delayed until 12/10) and would receive a call to inform me of the delivery time on 11/22. I received a call on 11/18 to call back on my delivery time. I call back numerous times to no avail on 11/18, 11/19, & 11/20... No answer. Even went to website to see if delivery time was set... Nothing. On morning of 11/22, I made numerous calls and finally reached the purchase store and inquired what time delivery would occur. I was put on hold for 30 minutes.

    Finally the store mgr came on and informed me that the model and brand of furniture I ordered is not available and I would have to choose something else... Are you SERIOUS!!! I went to the store and found my salesperson and mgr hovered around the computer. I could not believe my ears as to their story. Bottomline... We can't get that furniture anymore and you need to look at something else. Mind you, here I am approximately 4 days from Thanksgiving with no furniture in my living room (my old furniture was donated to make room for my new furniture) and expecting 10 guests for Thanksgiving dinner. Wow, this is freaking unbelievable. How can you go from furniture is here (except 1 piece) to we can't get it 3 days later.

    Also, if I had not took the initiative to contact them, I would have no known... I'd still be here on waiting on my delivery. Oh and by the way, subsequent to all this, I did find the exact same furniture at another location made by the same manufacture at another furniture company and was able to get it less and expect delivery in less than 2 weeks max. Again, STAY AWAY FROM VALUE CITY FURNITURE.... They are HORRIBLE!!!! You've been warned.

    Value City Furniture in Springdale is the worse store I have ever did business with. The store managers Matthew ** and Stewart ** are just horrible and do not know how to deal with customers. Theresa ** in customer service is just the rudest person I have meet in a very long time. The managers do not want to deal with customers concern or questions. I spoke to Stewart in person at the store and he just walked away from me. Just unacceptable. I would not recommend shopping at this store. No wonder why they have closed so many stores lately. Hopefully this will be the next store to close.

    I wish I could give negative stars I would give -100. Absolute horrible experience. This company is awful to order from. I was told my furniture would be delivered on November 11 between eight and 11. They called, emailed and text many confirmations in regards to this date and time in the days before. We sold our old furniture and took off work to be home for the delivery. At 11:15 I called to see the status of our delivery and was told that our furniture would now not be arriving until March.

    We immediately went to the store to talk to the manager, which got us nowhere. He told us there was nothing he could do and that the confirmation nothing he said. They don’t look to see if your furniture is even in until the delivery driver “throws open the door to the warehouse And sees if it’s there or not”. So they don’t even check days before your delivery when they are contacting you for confirmation to see if your furniture is even there and ready to be delivered. Then think it’s OK to tell you on the day it was supposed to be delivered that not only are you not getting it that day but you will not be receiving it for four months. Horrendous way to run a company. They also show no empathy for the high-level of inconvenience and stress they call you. I very highly recommend not using this company or shopping at their stores.

    I purchased this sofa back in July 2025 after searching for nearly a year. I also purchased the white glove delivery service and insurance plan. I did not finance it-I paid in full for everything on the day I bought it. I was told I would not be able to get it until November 22, 2025. I did not want to wait that long but I had no choice. But I was happy it would be here before the holidays. I was told I would receive a call the week before to confirm the delivery time. I was waiting all these months for that call! And I did receive a call a few days ago from the salesperson I purchased it from, but not to confirm the delivery time, to tell me this sofa is being DISCONTINUED and they could probably get me another one, but I would have to wait till February!! What??! And she even had the nerve to say we've been calling you repeatedly--NO YOU HAVE NOT--that was my first and only call. I waited all this time, and you think I trust y'all to wait till next year??

    Not only that, I wanted my new sofa for the holidays when I have guests. And had an arrangement for someone to pick up my current sofa. Fortunately, I was able to stop that or else I would have nothing to sit on. I told them forget it and refund my money. So like my headline says, GOOD LUCK GETTING YOUR SOFA. And one other thing: I bought the sofa on sale, I believe it was their July fourth sale and the original price was lower than what the sale price is now by $300. Not cool Value City, horrible customer service.

    Purchased a bedroom set on August 4th. This has been the worst experience I have ever had with a business in my life. The bed was delivered but the rest of the furniture was delayed. The delivery of the rest of the furniture was delayed multiple times. I finally asked to cancel the order and issue a refund so that I could purchase furniture somewhere else. I was told by someone claiming to be a manager that she would issue a refund for everything except the bed that had been delivered and that they would refund that after the bed was picked up. No refund! Called the store and was told that the woman that I spoke to was not a manager and had no authority to tell me that. One gentleman that I spoke to on two occasions was very rude. I finally called the corporate office and was told that the store was closing in 60 days and that I may never receive the rest of the bedroom set! Now I am concerned that I may never receive my refund!

    AVOID VCF AT ALL COSTS, literally. We purchased furniture in July with the assurance the set would be delivered in October. Well October rolled around and some "manager" named Fran called to tell me it would be November and some items wouldn't come together. She also said that if the remaining items were to be delivered within 30 days of the first items, there would been an additional delivery fee, and "that's company policy." Fortunately, my good salesperson called so I hung up with Fran. Then I was told November.

    Well about eight days out from delivery, my salesperson called me again to tell me December. 100% unacceptable. While I was provided other options that were immediately available, of course they were more expensive. Tomorrow I will cancel my order and also file a complaint with the BBB. I don't know what scam VCF is running, but DO NOT fall for it. Sit on lawn furniture in your house before you shop here; I guarantee it's more reliable.

    This is the worst company I have ever bought from, not even furniture company, worst ever COMPANY. The staff is not knowledgeable of their policies, a supervisor hung up the phone with me in the middle of me speaking, and our couch was delayed months and later canceled by them. Seriously, save yourself. Pay the extra money and go elsewhere.

    I purchased several pieces of furniture from Value City and paid in cash. I canceled one of the items over a month ago and still haven’t received my refund. On top of that, one of the items that was delivered arrived with a stain that was difficult to remove. This entire experience has been frustrating — the service, communication, and quality were all disappointing. I decided to shop at a local mom-and-pop furniture store instead and received much better service and quality. I understand Value City is being bought by Ashley’s, but if this is the kind of experience customers can expect, they’re no better. I won’t be shopping here again.

    The worst furniture company to order from. Never order again. Made a order and had to call back and correct my order due to Salesman orders wrong piece.. That push my delivery back 3 weeks which was a same week delivery... Then recliner was scheduled on time but was giving a delivery window. Then the morning of delivery no notification of arrival. Instead a call at the gate needing entry. Started not home and would be 15-20 mins before returning..Got a call from store with attitude and told "That's your furniture and now you gonna wait".

    So waited 2 more weeks on delivery. Then gets furniture. It needed service due to wobbly recliner and moving sectional.. Had to wait 3 more weeks on that.. Technician came out and said recliner was bent and needed replace... I would get a call tomorrow with update..I called to see the progress to be told it's not in system what was discussed and have to wait again for a response from store... Worst furniture company ever..

    Fair warning!!! If you are thinking about purchasing furniture from Value City, please think long and hard before you do. My furniture was damaged before I was able to receive it, they knew it, and they were supposed to have it fixed back in July 2025. In fact, I received a voice-mail message on 7/15/25 at 11:41am, ph#937-436-9545 left by the Manager (Kathy, Miamisburg/Centerville location); in fact, I still have the message saved on my phone, iPad, and PC in case they try to deny any of this. I have forwarded the Manager's message to several other sources that is set to help me resolve this unprofessional and unethical matter if it is not resolved soon.

    When the material arrived for repairs to my leather furniture, the furniture repair guy could not believe his eyes. Not only did they send the wrong piece that matched, they left out an entire section. I have gone back into the store more than 3 times since inquiring about when they were ever going to take care of my furniture. I keep getting the runaround from a customer service guy and the Manager (Kathy). First they said, 3-4 weeks at best, then they said 6-8 weeks, then 8-12 weeks...and they have not even granted me a courtesy call, since Kathy left the voice mail on 7/15/25. This is unethical and unprofessional, and they should compensate me for my inconvenience and the stress this has and continues to cause. I still don't even have the material to repair the damage they did and agreed to fix back in July. That was 3 months ago, almost 4. I am still waiting... I will be back on here to update you on how this goes.

    I ordered a sofa and a recliner from this furniture company. The recliner was backordered and no one from the store called to inform me of that. I ordered the recliner for surgery and the new arrival date was after when I needed it. Again, no one even called from the store to notify of me of the delay for the recliner. Horrible customer service. Then, I kept the sofa order .... and received a 24 -48 hour notice it was being delivered. Day of, I also received a notice it would be arriving in 42 minutes.... then, down to the last delivery minute I received a call it was not being delivered due to damage.... Are you kidding me??? The customer service in this company is the worst I have ever experienced. Do not order from them.... period.

    Purchased bed and mattress on 8/30/2025 and available for pick up 9/23/25. Received email and voicemail that pick up was ready. Showed up at warehouse 30 mins away (took off work) for them to tell me it wasn’t there. Nobody knew why. Neither did the retail store. Never received a call back from them either. They said another bed would be available 10/28/2025! Just awful!

    Please avoid VCF at all cost. I know sometimes we need a bargain, especially if you are like me and not on the wealthy side. However, out of all the furniture store businesses that has gone out of business, I am confused as to why this one is still in business. I ordered some furniture, now I must tell you it is 3 entry ways to get inside my home. The delivery guys only tried one entry way, my husband ask can he help because he saw the struggle, and they said, "That is not allowed." No problem, we understand the rules on that. The guy said, "I am unable to deliver so I have to take the furniture back to the store." I went to the store to get replacement furniture (something different), they struggled to do an update order in-store. The cost was getting higher. I said, "Are you having a problem with an update or as well because the sofas are cheaper and the cost is much higher than the previous order."

    Long story short. They had no clue on what to do. I am billed for $304.00 and I have no furniture. Restocking and delivery fee because the delivery guy chose one entry way that didn't work, restocking fee, and they were unable to place a new order. Please note that although I was going to order different furniture, they were still going to add the restocking fee. Please know that you can get furniture elsewhere. Check the Consumer Reports, Yelp, and everything else. Do not learn the hard way like I had to. When this many people are leaving bad reviews DO NOT CHANCE IT!!!! Everyone is not fabricating on VCF stores. Trust me, the managers are very arrogant, they have this way of coming off as, "Yeah whatever" attitude.

    Recently purchased a couch loveseat and recliner with blue tooth surround sound, lights, paid almost 8K, unplugged the recliner plugged it back and fire shot out, obviously it stopped working, then had to wait a week for the technician to come out, he couldn’t fix it, said they had to order a part but gave us NO information as to how long it would take. Called to inquire very very poor customer service. Waiting for manager to contact and give us some information on when we can expect this issue to be fixed. Nothing yet after an hour. Unable to recline the chair because everything is electrical. WARNING!!! PURCHASE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!

    I ordered two sets of furniture from the Brooklyn store in MARCH. A full bedroom set, and a full living room set. I was told that everything was in stock, but there would be a one month delay on the sofa and recliner. It is now SEPTEMBER and I am still waiting on a dresser and sofa. They’ve been delivering one or two pieces here and there. They’ll blame it on tariffs, but the tariffs were not a factor in March. They straight out lied. Now I’m being told my dresser won’t be here until JANUARY 2026! That’s nine months for a dresser. You could carry a baby full term in that time. Nobody calls with updates. Avoid VCF at all costs. I don’t think they’re going to be in business long.

    If you do not use the warranty within 30 days, you do not need to have it. The frame of my sofa is broke, they tell me I can't get it fixed because I did not call when it happened. I have holes from the pillows, separated from the couch. They say it still can't be used. So I pay for insurance that can't be used... If you try to cancel, you just get 25.00$ back. But if you do decide to do it before 30days of buying. I sent in pictures and videos. I will not go back or use them anymore.

    I’ve shopped Value City Furniture for 2 decades. After I had the worst customer service experience in the Richmond Ohio store. I’m done shopping there. And I wouldn’t recommend anyone to shop. Do Better value city with those 3 ladies.

    I purchased a dining set with chairs and I was also sold a 5 year protection. Plan for any accidental damage. Well, I now need 2 of the chairs replaced and that warranty isn't worth the paper it's typed on. They are not honoring the warranty and Shirley, a manager at Value City isn't returning my phone calls. I paid cash for the furniture and the protection plan and neither of them have taken responsibility and stood behind their product. I will never shop there again!! Oh, and when we got the chairs originally, my husband and had to go behind them and tighten all the legs, so the chairs wouldn't lean back so far. Just pitiful! Maybe they should go out of business like the clothing store did. I repeat, "I will NEVER shop there again". Buyer BEWARE!!!

    Horrible experience. I purchased furniture from this store, and unfortunately, during delivery, the driver mishandled the item, causing it to break. I contacted customer service to request a refund, and they informed me it would take approximately three weeks to process. After waiting for over a month without receiving the refund, I followed up with them. To my surprise, they claimed the refund had been issued to a different card—one that does not belong to me. Despite repeatedly asking how this error occurred and emphasizing that the card is not mine, their response remained the same: the refund was processed, and they are unable to take further action. This experience has been extremely disappointing. I trusted this company and ended up losing all my money. I urge others to be cautious when purchasing from this store, as their processes lack transparency and accountability.

    If I could give them zero stars, I would. We waited 3 weeks for a sofa to come in, and once we got it back home from the store we noticed a huge rip in the back and the frame was broken. The sofa was damaged before it was wrapped up, as there was no damage to the wrapping. I reported it, right away, and the process of getting a replacement sofa started. I was told the replacement would arrive to the warehouse in two weeks.

    Two weeks passed...I called the store to find out if we can pick up the sofa and they can't find it. I'm told it'll be another week until it comes in. Another week passes...I call the store to find out if we can pick up the sofa and they still can't find it. I'm told that they can see the order and that it's showing it'll be in the warehouse the next day and that I'd get a call back. I never got a call back. I waited a few days, called again...and surprise, surprise, still no sofa to be found. I finally gave up and brought the damn thing back on Saturday. The lack of follow through is not acceptable! Horrible customer service up until we returned it. This was my first, and only, time shopping at Value City!

    We purchased a recliner chair from Value City Furniture. First the delivery date was delayed by one week with no explanation given. Next on the day of delivery, the chair was dropped on to the ground. When the chair was set up, the leg reclining part does not open without me having to pull it open every time. When I try to close it, it takes several times for it to close. I called for service and now have to wait 14 days from the delivery date for a service person to fix it. This is not a matter of trying it a few times for it to work because it is new. I have try many times to get it to work right. We will not recommend them.

    Would give 0 stars if I could. Manager rude and didn’t honor warranty we purchased. Total disgraceful customer service. Guy ordered the furniture in the wrong color told us he would fix the problem A year later something broke and tried to use extended warranty to fix the problem and the never rang us up for it when he exchanged for the other color. Two totally different totals on two separate emailed receipts and one from in store and they told us they had no idea where we got our receipts from. Absolutely got treated horribly when we tried to get the problem fixed. Would not recommend and would not buy from them again.

    Value City Furniture is the most unprofessional and the worst ever. We ordered bedroom sets, delivery day was confirmed on the day of purchase. Two days later the "delivery manager" called to say delivery date is "delayed" and after going back and forth, part of the delivery was confirmed on the initial delivery date. Just two days prior to the delivery date, a rude salesperson called us to say the delivery date is being pushed to A MONTH! When we asked what temporary solution/alternative VCF can provide, the person said (verbatim) "You can do whatever you want, I just called to say the delivery date is pushed"! Immediately, we cancelled the order and ordered from another furniture store that delivered us the bedroom on our desired delivery date.

    My experience with this general manager Daniella ** was extremely disappointing. From the start, their behavior came across as unprofessional and dismissive. Instead of addressing concerns respectfully, they often spoke in a condescending tone and failed to follow through on commitments. When issues were brought up, they seemed more interested in deflecting blame than finding solutions. Communication was inconsistent, and there was a clear lack of leadership and accountability. A general manager should set the standard for professionalism and customer service, but in this case, it was the complete opposite. I would not recommend dealing with this individual or relying on their management.

    Bought a Sectional Sofa through VCF furniture store 51 St Mathews Louisville, and delivery was on 7/30 through UST (A unprofessional logistic Company). One of the bad delivery company I have ever come across, two men. Unprofessionals. They were in a hurry. Delivered my sofa and trying to get into my house and damaged my entire dry wall, and I return the sofa since they did a damage, I lost the sofa and damaged my wall through this UST company and promise that they will fix the wall, finally UST a so called logistic company denied my claim, Nobody in this earth will allow anybody to damage a house, and the guy asking me if I want to go for a legal. VCF refunded Sofa money but the damaged wall I need to fix and nobody from VCF helped me to get this sorted out. Everybody passing to somebody but the end NObody helped, SO NEVER EVER GO THROUGH UST DELIVERIES or VCF. Anything happen you won't get nothing paid.

    We ordered furniture back in May and paid cash. It was supposed to be delivered in August. They called last week to tell us it would at least be October before we could get the furniture. We told them we want to cancel our order and receive a refund. They told us they can't cancel an order or issue a refund in the store. We have to wait for a manager to call us. So, three months later we still don't have furniture or our $3,500. I will never shop there again.
