The drone would not lift off the ground. I returned it and Sharper Image has not given me a refund. They are not a trustworthy company! I will never buy from them again and I do not recommend them at all. I emailed them three times and they said they were sorry and would look into but they never resolved the issue or gave me my refund.

This pillow is ridiculous! It was $49.00 plus over $13.00 for shipping. I am returning it and with me paying return shipping the cost will be over $75.00 for this cheap gauze covered pillow! I will never ever order from Sharper Image again, this was my first and last time. Horrible. Beware of these exorbitant shipping fees. It is a shame they can do this to consumers.

The only thing that hasn't changed is the prices. The quality is absolute junk, worse than the ** garbage on Amazon. Just don't do it. And then when you try to return said junk, they rip you on return postage so you only get about a 50% refund. Disgusting business model, everyone should steer clear.

I asked that Merchandise be shipped to a different location, and it wasn’t ever shipped there! When FedEx reported it as “Delivered” and never delivered it. I called SI, and they suggested that I get in my car and drive 2 1/2 hours to search the neighborhood adjacent to the shipping address! (No, thank you!) Then they offered to ship out a replacement, and emailed me a shipping confirmation. Which upon reviewing it, was being shipped to some address that was God only knows where!! I called them and told them to cancel the order! (After have to spend 1 1/2 hours on the telephone both times, being transferred around, and placed on multiple holds).
A month later, reviewing my credit card bill, I could see that they has charged me $228 for the merchandise, and not credited me. So, I spent another 1 1/2 on the telephone to attempt to cancel the order and get my refund. Two days later, I received an email asking me to “kindly return the merchandise (in its original packaging) to receive my credit”. How stupid are these people?? I want to cancel the order because THEY NEVER DELIVERED IT!! Now they are claiming that their system doesn’t allow for refunds once merchandise leaves their facility! (It must be returned in order to receive a refund). They are completely scamming me!!

Used to be a good store. Now it's full of expensive, cheap, crappy stuff. I order something, and 10 minutes later decided to cancel. I was unable to cancel ( at most 15 min after my order) and they told me it was already processed and gearing for shipment. Almost a week later they sent it out. Weeks to issue refund and over a month for the whole ordeal... Customer service is horrible.

Sharper Image has a nice catalogue and website for you to get ideas about shopping for presents. If you like a product, do not buy it. Look elsewhere on the WWW and you will find the same for a LOT less (sometimes even 50%!). Furthermore, their discount, coupon and sales specials need a doctorate degree to figure out but can be summarized as total **! Recently, I tried to buy a product ON SALE, applied a suggested discount code on top but ended up with a price that was even higher than the original, non-discounted price... Go figure!

I ordered two golf club beverage dispensers. They were cheaply made and had loose parts rattling around inside. The pump did not work and no beverage was dispensed. Returned them and asked for two more, as I really wanted the product. Two more came and they did not work either. Called the company, was put on indefinite hold. They were supposed to call me back. They never did. I would never buy another product from them!

This company scams people by thinking they are providing free shipping and handling but what they’re doing is sending you a coupon to add to another order. Scam to get people to buy from them again. DECEIVING! I will not be purchasing from them ever again. Don’t like companies that aren’t truthful.

You can't return any item to this company and the product did nothing. A cheaper product you could return does not do better. I was going to donate the shower head (or probably any other of their products I make the mistake of trusting them to buy) to charity, but there is a risk someone might identify it from this company and buy from them. I think it best to throw it away. I plan to file a complaint against them to the Better Business Bureau.

I purchased a personal care item and it is defective. It works for 5 minutes after charging for hours. I tried to return for an exchange to give them another shot, but they do not accept returns once a package is opened. What??? I have called the original manufacturer to see if I can get anywhere with them and have not heard back yet, but this was a total, expensive rip off. Never again, Sharper Image.

Bought 3 orders of Polaroid films. Each order is 2 boxes. So I received 3 boxes, because evidently everybody at that company thought 3 orders equate 3 boxes. It took a while to make the cs person on the phone understand. They only employ incompetent people. If this is an honest mistake, the next 2 are not. Instead of mailing me the missing half, they requested I mail the whole thing back and they mail the correct number of boxes after they receive my return. If they want proof I only get half of what I paid, I could take pic of the shipping box and products. But no, they want the most inconvenient. They now use the slowest FedEx options. It takes another 3 weeks for the return to reach them and for the correct order to reach back to me. For a terrible error 100% on their part, they punish the customer 100% rather than their incompetent workers and horrible customer service. I will not use this company anymore.

I never received my shipment. They had Fed Ex deliver it to USPS mailroom with no signature to save cost. Never came to me and they WON'T reconcile this mistake. I keep emailing them and they throw the tracking number back at me. I re-explain that there is no tracking this package after it was dumped off at USPS. They refuse to reconcile this situation. Scandalous! Never again!

Shaper Image has no customer service. They will lose your package and still charge you!!! You will have to call several times over several weeks that will all be futile. There is no refund! Their so called customer service is only in South Africa and Panama with a huge time difference. You ask for a supervisor but they are sleeping when it is daytime in US. They are scammers!

If I could give this company .25 stars, that would be generous of me. I ordered a product from them before Thanksgiving and paid for express shipping so I would receive the product by Thanksgiving. It did not arrive. When I reached out to them to inquire and asked for express shipping refund, they stated they would send out another item and refund part of my shipping cost. Only part - WHAT? I did grumble about this and received a refund for the balance of the shipping cost. The 2nd item was received 8 days after the representative stated it was shipped (not expedited). I did receive the 1st item shipped 3 weeks later.
I ordered a picture scanner. I opened the box and immediately had reservations on the quality of the product and the output it would produce. Based on the size project and the quality I was looking for, this product DID NOT deliver. I proceeded to return the product and they charged me to return it. Seriously?! As an honest consumer, I did return both items. I complained about them charging me to return and told them I would dispute the return amount. I did, but I received a note from Colleen Dillon - Senior Manager of Customer Care who apologized for my experience and wanted to refund the return charge if I canceled the dispute. I was impressed, canceled the dispute and sent proof. Needless to say I have been ghosted ever since.

Purchased Bluetooth magnetic earbuds. Returned because they didn't work at all. Purchased again. Also defective. Spent hours and 4 calls to try to get my money refunded. Have to speak to customer service in South Africa. Hung up on me twice. Told me they refunded my money to my credit card twice, but never did. Had to have my credit card deal with them. Defective products and terrible customer service!

Do not order from this company. They use false advertising and send you a product you could buy anywhere else for 1/2 the cost. I ordered the “Photo Vault” from them and what I actually received was the “Picture Keeper”. Had I known this is what I was ordering, I certainly would not have ordered this product from them considering any other merchant sells it for 1/2 the cost of sharper image. On the picture in their catalog and on their website it displays a different product than what they are actually selling. When you try to contact customer service, you cannot get anyone on the line. They do not respond to emails. Customer service is essentially nonexistent. Don’t bother reviewing their products on their website.. They will not let any negative reviews appear. This is not a reputable company and buyer beware! If I could give zero stars I would.

I have ordered a few items as Christmas gifts for my husband. 2 of them did not work at all and came in a damaged box. I was willing to overlook the damaged box as long as items worked. They didn't & I attempted to return them. The company's stated policy is that they accept returns no questions asked if not used. They did not state that a right to return is void as soon as a customer opens the box. This is called Bait and Switch, which is still illegal. Their explanation was that because it was a personal item, once the box is opened, they don't accept returns. All they sell are personal items and they claim on the website that these items are refundable. Very dishonest and underhanded.

I made a purchase December 6, 2021 for a thermal printer I thought was for receipts but it was not what I wanted after seeing a more elaborate product description on Amazon for the same item. On December 8, 2021 I tried contacting Sharper Image on how to return the item and I was directed to their FAQ for Returns. One option was to reject the package. Which I intended to do but the mail system these days don’t ring bells, they just throw packages up on the porch. So when I saw the package I took it back to the post office and marked it “Return to Sender.” That was on December 11, 2021. It is now December 27, 2021 and I still have no return receipt status and no refund.
I attempted to contact Sharper Image several time prior to 12/27/2021 through phone and only keeps you on hold for hours. So I sent an email and after 3 emails no response. I finally got a response on December 21, 2021 and Michelle stated that once the warehouse receives the return it takes 5-7 days to process a refund. However, it’s December 27, 2021 and I still have no refund and no update on the receipt of the return.
This company is far from anything decent. I just want my money back. It does not take this long to receive a return back and process a refund. Especially when they shipping my order on 12/8/21 and it was delivered on 12/11/21. The return time should be the same for the most part. I’ve returned things in the mail to other companies after I did this company’s return and I’ve already received those refunds. So what is up with this company.

Ten days before Christmas, I ordered a product from Sharper Image for my 5 year old nephew. I paid extra for what the website explicitly called “Holiday Shipping.” Two days after placing the order, I received the tracking info that said the gift would arrive on 12/28 - three days AFTER the holiday. I immediately called customer service and explained the situation, and both the initial rep and the “supervisor” told me there was nothing they could do. I told them I paid for holiday shipping and asked what “Holiday Shipping” meant, and the supervisor said “that just means anytime in December.” I then asked him if that’s truly what he believed, just as a human and not a customer service lackey, and he finally agreed it was misleading. However, he continued to say there was nothing he could do.
I asked for a full refund, or a refund of the enhanced shipping, or comp overnight shipping, or they could send something else - and they refused any request I had to fix it. The “supervisor” said he’s “escalate” my complaint, and I’ve never heard back. Mistakes and shipping delays happen. But that’s not what this was: the website STILL says pay extra and get your product by Christmas. THEY ARE LYING. And when they ruin some kid’s Christmas, they won’t care and they’ll tell you “Holiday Shipping” just means sometime before President’s Day. It’s tough to swallow such repressive mistreatment of customers.

I bought something through their catalog. I later didn't want it. Trying to get anyone to answer the phone for a return is impossible. On hold for 2 hours then hung up. All emails have been ignored. BEWARE buying anything from Sharper Image. They have become a shady company.

In the beginning of Spokane, WA heatwave purchased the evaporative cooler on a Friday and paid for overnight shipping for $249.50. Saturday came and no shipment! Checked online to learn purchase hadn't even been recorded. Checked the shipping schedule to learn they don't ship on weekends!? Had to borrow a loaner a/c from apartment maintenance thankfully as apartment was 95f for three days. Tried to cancel order several different ways but No Customer Service! I refused the shipment. They only returned a partial return of $177 leaving $67 owed. Called bank and disputed only to learn that Sharper Image only has to return a partial payment by law!? WTF? SO they know this and make money off of all shipping returns and there ain't nothing to do about it!

When my 95 year old mother told me a package for me from Sharper Image was on the way, my heart sank. Despite repeated requests, she continues to fall victim to misleading advertising and bogus offers. And my experiences with Sharper Image in the past have made me steer clear. My fears were confirmed to a grim extent -- the 12x Zoom Camera Binoculars are a perfect example of an attractive product name and a product which falls laughably short of it. The idea is to combine increased visual acuity with prompt convenient recording. The reality, despite the name, is that the binocular optics are absolutely terrible and the imaging sensor ridiculously inferior to cell phone image sensors.
The 'zoom' is electronic zoom, by the way -- no actual telescopic function involved, which fact is carefully obscured by the product name. So -- it's not a useful camera nor a useful binocular. But they were right that there is a need for something like this, so some impulse or gift purchasers would see the product name and cough up money. I hope Sharper Image's cynicism and targeting of elderly and weak-minded consumers eventually leads to their corporate demise, but so far it has not.

I have tried many times to submit a negative product review (1 star) on this sound machine. My review is as follows: "I have been using sound machines for years. When they start to wear out, they will begin producing a background noise. This noise is the internal device that is either turning or spinning to create your sound. Right out of the box, this machine has horrible background noises on each sound. They 100% distract from the sound you want to hear. If you use it to cover up a noise, then you probably won’t hear it. But if all is quiet and you want to sleep after a stressful day, FORGET IT! The background noise is like “nails on a chalkboard” irritating. Maybe this is a defective one, but I won’t take a chance on another one."
Sharper Image deceives its customers by not allowing negative reviews. Customers think the product they are purchasing has 4&5 stars when in reality all the negative reviews are NOT POSTED! This is a very deceitful tactic to fool the consumer. At least I can post my comment here and hope it alerts others not to trust the reviews on the Sharper Image site.

Horrible customer service. Do not buy from them. Your future self will thank you. I received a gift item of Cassette to MP3 converter. It worked for 5 minutes. I called to ask for repair/replacement and the customer service rep simply talked over me. They have no clue how to run a good company.

Ordered Slide converter. Was the worst reproduction of my treasured slides. Gave up and returned to Sharper Image. Bought through Amazon.com and as of now 3 weeks later, after returning, I have not received my refund through amazon credit card. I was so frustrated with this converter. The signs instead of words made it more difficult to use and through 100 slides, it did not take them. DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT!

I received this pillow and it was supposed to come with a free $25 gift card. It says you can use it on whatever you want. There was no gift card so I called Customer Service. They told me they would send me a code to order something but the purchase would have to be $49 or more. I told them that’s false advertising that nowhere does it say that. I asked them if I could purchase the pillowcase. Listed for $19.99 for the pillow with the gift card and that’s how I found out you have to spend $49 or more. Also if you want to return the pillow they will charge you about $9.00 for a shipping label. Never again.

Good luck if you ever need help with your order from Sharper Image. I ordered expensive tire inflators before Christmas. They created the FedEx label, but never sent the products. After dozens of emails and calls, my order was nobody's concern. FedEx rightfully could not assist me, and Sharper Image Customer Service offered no answers and no help. All with a condescending attitude. We are talking an order worth $186. I finally disputed the charge with my credit card company, and presto! Suddenly the products are on their way! I don't want them now, was not given a choice, and have zero recourse. This morning's rep had more attitude than all combined. I do not recommend shopping at Sharper Image. I never will again.

Please beware. I purchased a wireless TV speaker for my husband. It does not work. I'm trying to return it and my order is open so I cannot use the online return service. I've emailed customer service 3 times and called 3 times. No response and the hold time was 61 minutes on average. It's $149 and useless.

I ordered my boyfriend the golf caddy cooler club for Christmas in Nov. It came in on time but of course is broken so I’m trying to send it back and get my money back like any sensible human. But, every time I call the customer service line it’s at least an hour before I can speak with anyone. I waited 30 minutes over my quoted wait time yesterday (Jan. 5) and was finally connected with someone who was helpful and sent me my return information. Now..this is where I got so mad I decided to write this review. My total return amount was $53 but I was charged a $27 return fee!!!! I’m not outside of their holiday return policy or any of their return policies for that matter. I emailed the customer service email asking what that was for and still no response. So now I have to wait another hour to talk to someone. Absolutely ridiculous.

After ordering an over-priced gift item two weeks prior to Christmas, that was in stock and had no indication of being low in stock, I waited an entire week for shipping information and finally called (after putting the same item in my cart to insure they had the item). Was told it had been out but was in now back in stock and they would express ship it. Waited another 4 days, called and now learned it is again out of stock, but the manufacturer will ship it after 12/28. Asked to cancel the order but told it cannot be cancelled. During this entire fiasco was never contacted. Will NEVER order from this company again - and hope those reading this will take warning.

I purchased several items from Sharper Image and it took a long time to receive. When I finally received my order, one of the items were missing in the box, even though it was on the list in the box. I called and informed them to no avail. The customer service was horrible. The representative paused a long time then barely answered, stating they would send the item....Never did. I called again same thing...Never sent anything..Stated they could not provide a tracking number. I sent several emails and no responses. Please DO NOT purchase from this company. I got charged $80 for an item I NEVER received. THEY DON'T CARE..SAVE YOUR MONEY.

Order was taking a while to ship. Each time we received a response the ship date was extended. We finally told them on December 18 not to ship. Just cancel the order. Instead they shipped on December 22 and processed the payment. Now we can do wait until the item gets here then ship it back before we will get a refund. All the trouble could have been prevented if they would have cancelled the order like we asked before it shipped. Also the customer service is horrible. Very rude and ask like they either don’t know how to help or just don’t want to help. I really wish I would have read their reviews and complaints before buying from them because they have hundreds. Please don’t buy from this company it will not be a good experience.

I have been back and forth with Sharper Image and Fed Ex about a package. SI sent an e-mail stating shipping confirmation. When I didn't receive the item I contacted SI. No real answer. I then contacted Fed Ex who told me that the shipping label had been generated but no one had contacted them to pick up the package and as far as they knew, it was still at the shipping point. I again contacted SI and no one can tell me if it is there in their warehouse because the people you talk to do not have access to that information. They really don't have any more access to shipping information then you do from the e-mails you receive. What a waste of time! I don't blame those that I talked to, it is the system that is messed up.
I now have to try and substitute a Christmas gift for a 12 year old. If it were an adult no big deal, but a 12 year old grandson is different. I placed the order on December 8. The tracking label wasn't ordered until December 13 and the package is in limbo somewhere. I know it is a busy time of year, but... Maybe stores should carry more items rather than rely on online purchases. I won't order from them again.

Absolutely the most unprofessional online buying experience I've had in quite a long time. Dealing with this company is similar to dealing with those companies you've never heard of but always have the lowest prices available when searching online. As a seasoned online buyer, I know to steer clear of those companies, which makes it all the more disconcerting that I let my guard down.
I order 2 pair of expensive Monster Vision glasses from the website last night ($69/each). I received a confirmation email, albeit somewhat cryptic, claiming the order is under review and I'll receive a follow-up when it ships. I get an email 24 hours later saying my order is canceled. No explanation. No reason. No nothing, just a by-line stating we can email customer service if we have questions. Who doesn't provide a reason? What company does this? They just haphazardly cancel orders without reason. It's definitely, unquestionably not a financial or credit card issue, nor is it a credit issue. Hunch tells me they oversold.
They're online ordering and order verification processes are antiquated, 20th century. They can't fulfill immediately. Apparently, they have inventory control issues or systems that can't handle the load. Either way, it's inexcusable. Rationale should have accompanied the cancelation. I won't do business with these guys again. They've lost a customer for good. I won't acquiesce. They'll just no longer be a consideration when I'm in the market for goods.

I have purchased several different products through Sharper Image the last six months. I have not had one order go smoothly. I initially was sent a gift card that was already expired (just that no big deal) then Customer service gave me a replacement code and that also didn’t work. Another issue is that I did not receive cash back on two separate orders and when I called they gave me the cash back but as a “promotion“ code so their system would not let me use more than one at a time (Cashback you can use up to three).
I just got off the phone with sharper image because the most recent cashback code I was given only a week ago is again not working when I enter it at check out. I called and he confirmed that it is not a valid cash back number and call back tomorrow/Monday. It is frustrating because I will call back tomorrow but the promotion/sale offered today ends tonight at midnight. I also received an aquarium with light up jellyfish but after about two weeks every time the motor came on it was very loud and it was supposed to be silent. I honestly don’t know how they are still in business.

I ordered a product for my Mom for Christmas. Looked like a warm hooded lined sweatshirt for $60. Product arrived in an "As Seen on TV " packaging. Not the quality or reputation I expected from Sharper Image. Item is found on both Amazon and "As Seen on TV" sites for $29. With free shipping. Nowhere in the description does this say it's an as seen on TV item. I paid double for this low quality item. Definitely bait and switch, buyer beware.

Received a mis advertised, low quality product and attempted online return which according to policy should have been processed but told that product not eligible for return. It was not a personal grooming product and should have been eligible per policy. When tried to call - was put on hold for over an hour. Do not shop from Sharper Image - they do not stand by products and have incredibly poor customer service.

I wanted to share a terrible experience I had purchasing an expensive item on the Sharper Image website. There was a glitch in the system and before I got a confirmation, I accidentally entered again and created a duplicate order. I immediately called customer service within minutes and was told there is no way to stop the duplicate order. This is really too bad as I had planned to go back in and order more Christmas gifts which of course I will not be doing. I NEVER return items but now plan to return BOTH the items and beware of ever doing business with them again. Terrible customer service to not cancel a clearly duplicate order. I will also be contacting my credit card company.

I purchased the Hands-Free whitening toothbrush. The bristles don't touch my teeth. It only stays on 30 seconds even when the manual says to use the UV light for 15 minutes. When I asked to return it, they said I can't return a personal item. Outraged!!

I wish I had read these reviews before purchase a product from SI. It was an open box and did not work when it arrived. I tried it any way and it of course was broken. They emailed me a return label, then charged me over $20 for shipping because it was returned due to "buyer's remorse" - though I had made it clear they had shipped me a broken item. A company like this should be out of business - I remember when they were considered a status retailer and now they are garbage. AVOID THEM!

Ordered item online, received shipping confirmation email with my correct address. Item delivered to wrong address in another city. Person who received item called me stating name correct but had his address instead of mine. I have called Sharper Image 3 times over past 4 days. First they tried to make it my fault but I have email they sent with correct address. Then they promised immediate resolution but nothing done. Next time I called, requested a supervisor...Again promise of prompt resolution. NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE!! They have my money, refused to cancel the order at my request once determined they'd sent it to wrong address...They will NOT take responsibility for their error. Wish zero stars was an option. Shop somewhere else!

I returned a product I purchased and was sent a gift card for the amount I paid. When I tried to use the gift certificate to purchase another item, it showed a $0 balance. When I called customer service, I was told that the gift certificate for $77.30 was still good. They told me that their website was having issues and to try back in a few days. It is now 4 weeks later, and I still can't use the gift certificate. I have called on 5 different occasions and spoken to 5 different customer service people. They all told me the same story. This company is not to be trusted. I am now writing my second letter to the CEO.

Unit would not power up although I tried three different unused AA batteries. Looks and feels like a piece of overpriced Chinese garbage. Because I wanted to return it for refund, I could not complete the return online and generate a return label, as all reputable companies allow. I was forced to speak with a customer service representative, which required a 45-minute wait on hold, listening to an annoying message telling me repeatedly how valuable my call is to them — while demonstrating the very opposite to me in real-time.

I ordered a health care item costing $130. Never received it. I got stuck in a loop between Sharper Image and FedEx, each blaming the other. It is now over a month later and SI customer service has no idea where the order is. A week ago I was told by rep that she ordered a replacement, but as of today FedEx has not received the item from them. I filed a dispute with PayPal. When SI found out, they said I would get a refund. SI says FedEx has the order but they are so overwhelmed due to COVID-19 that they just haven’t had time to ship my item. However, an item I ordered a week or so later was delivered to my home yesterday. I didn’t order from them for 5 years prior to this order. Now I remember why.

I finally received the order only to discover it has a manufacturing design defect that makes it unusable as described, and therefore I want a full refund. I do not want a replacement because the power adapter input is defectively designed which will not allow the power adapter to connect. I called to discuss this twice and was told a return label would be sent but I have not received the label. Customers should be able to start the return process on their site, but it says the item is not eligible for return. I can only conclude they are stalling, hoping I will go away; that would be a mistake because I am determined not to let them rip me off. I believe they know the items are defective but are trying to sell them anyway. How despicable! I am waiting four more days for the return label and if I don't get it I will contest the charge on my credit card. Stay away from Sharper Image!

I ordered about 300 dollars worth of products from Sharper Image. I ended up placing the order but didn't want one of the items I picked. My fault. Within 15 minutes I called sharper image trying to switch the product to something else. I was told they would have to refund the whole order and I would have to re-order it. I sent several emails asking for an email confirmation back that I would receive a total refund back on my credit card. So for days I kept getting shipping updates even though the package was rerouted back to the distribution center.
I then received an 18 dollar refund for god knows what, and I received a gift card to make my purchase. I filled a charge back with my credit card company because I don't have the time to fight with them back and forth to get my money back when the return policy states that with 60 days you will get your money back in original form. I have 10+ emails going to them asking why I received a gift card and no one has gotten back to me. PLEASE AVOID USING SHARPER IMAGE AT ALL COSTS.

Purchased item online and realized I had one already. Attempted to cancel order in minutes from time of purchase. Customer service was closed so I sent email and called when open. Was told item was canceled only to receive a shipping confirmation 12 hours later. Customer service are liars and now I’m responsible for return shipping cost when it should have never left the store. What a way to conduct business huh? STAY AWAY.

Please do not order from this company. I am very dissatisfied with their customer service and return standards. I ordered a pressure-relieving gel seat cushion for my wife for Mother's Day for $89 ($107 with tax and shipping). Nothing was wrong with the product, but my wife just did not like it. I tried to return it (8 days later), and my return was rejected for no reason on the site. "This item may not be returned." There was no indication of this when I purchased it. I thought this was a well-run company with great customer service but I was seriously mistaken.

Terrible customer service and return policy. I purchased an item that actually caused bodily harm, leaving a scar on my body. They will not let me return this because it is considered a massage item and it must be un-opened/unused in order to return it. I found out it was dangerous after using it, how else would I know? And yes, I followed the instructions on how to use it to the letter so it was not consumer error. Also, they will not post my review explaining my experience with this item. They only have positive reviews posted which I believe they do in order to move their merchandise. Other customers should know all reviews when considering purchasing, especially something that costs $129.
When I try to contact them I receive an automatic reply saying someone will respond within 24 hours. They never respond. If you are considering buying from them do your research on other sites first because if you do not want the item you will not be able to return it. Or better yet, buy it from someone who cares enough about their customers to let them return the item if not satisfied or if, like me, it causes bodily harm and leaves a scar. BUYER BEWARE!

We purchased a Sharper Image air purifier from Bed, Bath and Beyond for well over $200 just 2 years ago. When we needed to buy a replacement filter we could not find one anywhere on the internet. The retail store offered no help. I called Sharper Image and their rep said if they no longer sell the product they won't have filters for it. Hundreds of dollars wasted on a product that can no longer be used. Very unhelpful phone support person as well - he was not even willing to look. They charge too much money to have it become wasted in just 2 years.

Went online to order a cordless shoulder heat therapy wrap for my husband who had rotator surgery and continues to have pain. Their website said free 2 day shipping on orders over $99 and gave their code but then it also wanted my email, which I gave, and then gave me another code for percentage off. Since I needed this for Valentine's Day and couldn't find the box to enter the shipping code I called their 877 number. I was told that I only got to use one code, even though they give you 2 codes. And then I was told I qualified for a 20% cash back "coupon" and a $25 gift card for my next purchase. These are all "promos" that they say you can only use once, nothing can be combined.
I questioned their customer service rep and he just laughed when I said it was internet fraud; I asked for a supervisor and he laughed again and said no one was available. Obviously, a millennial who cares nothing about customer service, Sharper Image staying in business or his job. So I didn't place my order. I then decided to check reviews on Sharper Image and read all these reviews where people bought heating pads, etc., that Sharper Image considers "personal items" that they say cannot be returned, yet their website says 100% satisfaction guaranteed and the item will be replaced or refunded. This is all Consumer Fraud being committed on the Internet by Sharper Image.

I purchased vibrating arthritis gloves for my wife for Christmas. The gloves did not work from the very beginning. I went to the website and was told since they were health products, they were not eligible for return. There is NOTHING on their website or in the product description that says they cannot be returned, and I replied to the company asking that I be allowed to return them. No response AT ALL. I have now contacted them five more times and I get an automated response, but never an actual one. I have tried calling only to be told my wait time is over two hours. Sharper Image isn't what they once were. This is a ripoff, especially since they won't even speak to me about the issue or take back a clearly defective product. Don't buy from them. It's not worth the gimmicky gift cards or the other junk they offer if you do.

I tried to order a pair of night vision binoculars. The website didn't work, so I called. I ended up with two pair. After over 10 emails and sending the duplicate item back, I received an email that says I may be credited within the next 10 days. Notably, their website says there are no stores. They are online only, horrible service, and seems quickly dying business. I will never order from them again under any circumstance.

We bought a heated massage back rest for my elderly father in law. When we showed it to him he said he wouldn’t be able to sit up straight enough to use it. Even though the item was never used and in its original packaging Sharper Image refused a return saying they don’t accept returns of used personal items. While the box had been opened, the item was never used but the mere fact of an opened box was the basis for their stance. We are now out $140 with an item for which we have no use. Beware what you purchase at Sharper Image and know that it is an item you will not need to return.

A product of poor quality also lacked the performace as stated by this seller. Rechargable battery pack purported to last up to 5 hrs. would last less than 2 and never heated up to a temp comensurate with providing any comfort. SI refused to take back due to being opened product....never again. You lost a customer who has been shopping at your stores since 1988! DONE WITH YOU!!!

Do not order from this company. I ordered Dec. 13th with the delivery date of Dec. 17th. It is Dec. 26 and still no product which I ordered as a gift. No one at the customer service was helpful, in fact because I was not agreeing with an agent's rules, she hung up on me. Another attempt transferred me to a voice mail of some middling executive who insincerely apologized and blamed FedEx for any delivery delays but promised all orders would be delivered by Christmas. It did not. Then they want to only refund me the price of the product, and still charge me for shipping it to me and for the shipping label back. Not a way to run a business, maybe run the business into the ground.
DO NOT ORDER UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE DISAPPOINTED, FRUSTRATED, AND EXTREMELY ANNOYED!!!! They do not accept responsibility. I ordered from them, not FedEx! It is Sharper Image's problem NOT Fedex. Sharper Image needed to and still needs to accept responsibility and make amends. Do not order from this sham of a company.

I impulsively ordered a foot warmer/massager from Sharper Image - then saw horrible reviews of the product on other sites. Tried to contact the company back within a half hour of ordering to cancel the order. Attempted customer service online chat. No response Was put on hold on customer service phone line with out going message that said please hold on. Left phone on hold for an hour because a recorded "Stephanie" said they were busy with other customers. No one ever picked up. The next morning I was informed via chat that the order had already shipped - but I could call them for a return label. When I texted back to ask when the foot warmer would arrive - they never responded. I already know the item will be a piece of junk and it will be a nightmare to return. I'm sticking to Amazon and Overstock.

Having had two back surgeries last year, I thought this mat would be helpful giving comfort for body, but it was not at all comfortable or comforting or relaxing. It did not hit the regions needed. Sorry and surprised I could not return it since it is useless and an expensive loss to me. I should have been made aware this item was not returnable! I will NEVER buy from you again.

They say free return shipping, but that is not true. So, not only do you pay for the return shipping but you also lose part of the tax you paid because it brings the total amount down and they calculate the tax based on total. While I was on the phone with customer service I asked to speak with a manager, the girl comes back on and says she was authorized to return the full amount. "Thank you" I say and we hang up. When I go into the email to print the return label it's gone! So, I call back and speak with another representative only to find out the return had been cancelled. Then I had to start all over and it took more than 24 hours for the new label and another phone call. The end result is they lied about free shipping and kept part of my tax money and did not give me the full refund promised to me from the first phone call. Needless to say, this family will never buy another Sharper Image product!

Was refunded an odd amount so I emailed their customer service as it states on the 'processing my order' return email (no phone number on email, have to look up on their site). Did not hear back from them so I called them. They said the amounts totaled shipping to me (7.95) and return (7.95). I said but it says on your site, FREE RETURNS! So she refunded the return fee which should not have happened. I also thought when I ordered on 12/28/18 that it was free shipping as stated online! I will not order from them again.

Worked good for couple weeks, got about 10-12 hours, then they would work off & on a couple hrs then sometimes half hr. I quit trying with the disgusting tv wireless ears in about 2 months. I emailed Sharper Image about this problem, of course no response. I did get things yrs ago from them, it was the very best quality to be had. Now I guess they go for the cheap made stuff. Guess I will have to chalk this up as learning experience. Since the other customers didn’t get anywhere. I will never buy from them again!

I purchased a telescope from this company. It absolutely will not focus. Their customer service demands that I send them a video showing that the scope won't focus. That's impossible to do. But without that, they won't talk to me. So, I've just lost my entire purchase price with these jerks. Don't do business with them.

I bought this drone from a local Walmart in Dodgeville, WI. Upon first use, the drone flew and was nonresponsive to the controller within several feet. The drone flew off and did not disengage or shut down even after exiting the 250ft proximity zone as stated on the box. We could not keep up with the drone as it flew uncontrollably over the highway and hills. The search radius could be a mile or more. I called the company and right off the bat, the company started denying responsibility. The company rep said management had gone home and the company conducted a study and found in most cases of fly-offs it was user error. There were enough fly-offs that the company had to do a study? How can this be user error if the drone is advertised to disengage beyond 250ft? I also tried to return or exchange the product at Walmart, but the store manager refused since the product was not physically present and Sharper Image would not honor it.

On Nov 8 2017, I ordered a customized bobblehead as a Christmas gift based on a photograph I submitted. My credit card was charged $90.94. Then the manufacturer (in China) contacted me & said that to get it by Christmas I would have to pay another $25.00 - so I did that on Nov. 29. By Jan 10, 2018 with no delivery, I contact the manufacturer & was told delivery will be in "a few days". On Jan 30, I finally got the item. I was not happy with it as it did not look at all like the photograph. I asked the manufacturer for a return & refund. They offered to try fixing the bobblehead. I was tired of the whole matter so I sent it back to them & asked them to change just the hair color & I would accept it. By Apr 29, I sent an email asking about status. No reply. On May 20, another email to them. No reply.
On May 29, I sent the first email to Sharper Image complaining about the order. I got a reply from the manufacturer on May 31, asking for the order number. I sent it. On Jun 8, the manufacturer emailed me that they could not find the returned bobblehead & offered to make me another one. I told them that I would like a full refund of $115.94. No reply all summer from either the manufacturer or the several emails I sent to SI except for SI's canned replies saying they would contact the manufacturer. On Sep 5, I called Sharper Image. They had all my complaints in a database. A woman (Melissa) said she had talked to a financial officer (?) & they would give me a refund. She would call me back that day with details. No reply.
On Sep 14, I called again. This time SI offered a store credit of $77.00. I said why so little & they said it was because I had used a "Magic Coupon" so was only charged the lesser amount. I said I have a debit from Sharper Image for $94.90 from last November - how could I have had a discount? I asked for a manager. The manager immediately said they would give me a store credit for $94.90 but the other $25.00 (for a Christmas delivery) was between me & the manufacturer. I asked to have a credit card refund instead as I did not want to deal anymore with Sharper Image. The manager said that since it was almost a year ago, they no longer had my credit card info. They said they would send me an email with details of the store credit. I haven't got that yet. If I was you, I would not buy anything from Sharper Image. They are untrustworthy & do not provide effective customer support.

Product was shipped in broken styrofoam with rubberband, no box and no directions. Product is shipped from China and customer service will accepts returns, but you have to pay shipping to China (which cost more than the product). Product is made of cheap metal and looks very cheap. Save your money - not worth $5.00.

I bought a smartwatch from Sharper Image day and it stop working the second day after I got it. Stay away from this company, I contact them, they wanted me to send them a video of the problem. Never heard anything like that before. A one star is too big for them. They suck.

I ordered an item, through Facebook, from Sharper Image on a Friday. The item was $147. I selected the $29 shipping option. Without my consent, the shipping was changed to $200 and before I could check it, the order went through. I called immediately to try and stop it but the customer service "team" had gone home for the day. (Funny/not funny that you can order all weekend but can't speak to a CS agent.) I then emailed them on that same Friday to give them a heads up. I did everything possible but the item still shipped with the $200 shipping charge. I called first thing Monday and told the agent what happened and he said that he would contact FedEx. He didn't. Item expected to arrive on Thursday. I will most likely be at work and won't be able to refuse the order. Now I will have to PAY to have it returned. I will never order from this company again.

Ordered this item to block out my sounds when I sleep, this doesn't work at all, very disappointed. Was more disappointed in the return. It says all over the website free shipping and free returns. This was not the case, beware of what it says on the website, called customer service and they said they were doing me a favor by returning this item as supposedly it is not returnable but yet it did not say this anywhere on my order when placed and it said free returns and now I was charged to ship to me (was supposed to be free) and now getting charged to return (was supposed to be free). I will not order from this company again!

I ordered a product Feb3, was given 2/8 as delivery date, then 2/9, then 2/12. Now is the 17th & nothing!! I’ve emailed & talked to customer service & was told I’d receive it shortly & told I’d be receiving a gift cert through email but again nothing!! Of course the payment was collected, I am so angry about being moused around. I do not ever intend to purchase from this company again & I will dissuade as many as I can from doing so.

I originally purchased a Sharper Image speaker at Kohl's. Two months went by and darn thing stopped working. Contacted Sharper Image and replaced it for free. Well now using this replacement speaker that I have had less than 6 months. I had to call 4 different numbers for them to say, "Sorry we only give you 90 days to get another." Therefore I do not recommend this product. Was not cheap and the quality was not the greatest of sound. Lesson learned I'm going to research now the best Bluetooth speaker out there.

On January 2, 2018, I ordered a pair of TV wireless headphones model # 204919-01. On the box it specifically says works for all TV's. Upon receiving them on January 10, 2018, I went to install them on my Samsung Model # UN55MU6490F TV manufactured in October of 2017. After a few minutes of trying to hook them up, I realized that it was missing a critical piece. The A/V to fiber optic converter. So of course I looked through the box again to make sure I hadn't overlooked any parts or pieces. I re-read the instructions just to make sure I didn't miss something. I hadn't overlooked any missing pieces and again said right on the box "Works for all TV's". The following day, I called and spoke to a representative that said the AV to fiber optic converter should have been in the box and that they were sorry.
She told me that they would have the converter delivered to me within 5 to 7 business days. I told her the only reason I ordered them online was because I was having neck surgery in 2 days and was the whole reason I even ordered them online. She assured me that they would be delivered by Friday January 12, 2018. At this point I was a little upset that I even had to go through this just to get them to fix their mistake, but at least she was trying to work with me. Needless to say they didn't show up until Tuesday January 16th and they only sent a fiber optic cable, not the Audio/Video to fiber optic converter that they had promised me. Of course now I am a little more than upset, I just had 3 of my discs in my neck replaced and still having to deal with this stuff. So I called again today, January 17, 2018. Tyra the manager was less than compassionate or understanding.
All I wanted was for them to make it right and send me what should have been sent to me in the first place. She said my only options were to send it back and once they received the old pair, they would send me out a new pair. I asked why they couldn't just make it right and send out the missing part which is only $13.89 and should have been included in the first place. She said that is not their policy and that she wouldn't be able to do anything for me until they received the original pair. All for an $13.89 adapter. The headphones I paid for were only $100.00 but where is their customer service? I just had major neck surgery and she wants me to somehow send them back. The only reason I bought the headphones online was because I couldn't get out of bed. If I could get out of bed, I would have went and bought them at Target, Walmart, or Bed Bath & Beyond.
I will NEVER buy any other Sharper Image products online or any store if this is the way they treat their customers. It didn't matter to them one way or the other if their box was falsely advertising or if I am bedridden because of my neck surgery, they already had my money and that is apparently all that matters to them. Customer satisfaction doesn't mean a thing to Sharper Image or their Representatives. I have never had a company that was so careless and unwilling to work with me. Thanks for nothing, Unhappy Customer.

I ordered a Christmas gift from Sharperimage.com intending to ship overnight. I chose to pay with PayPal but once I confirmed the dollar amount in PayPal they returned me to Sharper Image where the order had already been submitted! I was never given the option to review my order or select overnight shipping. I searched their site for a way to change it or cancel the order but there was no such thing.
I called them to get assistance but they were closed. This morning I called to get help only to find out it had already shipped, to the incorrect address (My PayPal address which is incorrect since I’ve moved and I haven’t updated it yet.) I will never receive that package now and they are completely unwilling to make the situation right. My only recourse is to pay for a new order. Spoke to a supervisor and still, they won’t budge. This is in no way my fault and they will not help fix the problem. This is the worst customer service I’ve ever had with an online order.

I first purchased the Autostop Tire Inflator as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend. I received it, then decided to get him the Virtual Reality headset instead. I went online to initiate the return, as per the directions on the packing slip. I get an email, from Sharper Image, addressed to some other person in the text, and although there's a reference to use the attached FedEx label, none was provided. I emailed customer service, and that started a CHAIN of emails back and forth, with Sharper Image asking me insane questions (Would you like to return the item? Would you like a FedEx label? Do you want a refund, or store credit?) basically asking the same things over and over even though I keep answering over and over. I finally gave up, and decided to keep it and give it to my boyfriend anyway, or keep it for myself. So, I order the Virtual Reality headset: I open the box and it's some other item (TV Wireless Headset). WTF.
I go online to initiate the return as per the instructions on the packing slip: When I choose that I want a FedEx label instead of returning on my own, I kept getting an error message that the return submission was unsuccessful. By the way, the dropdown is for either a refund to the original method of payment, or store credit. When I chose "Original Method of Payment" the dropdown box kept defaulting to store credit. Finally, after the 4th time, I chose that I would just use my own method of returning the item. Finally, I get the return authorization. I'm going to ensure that I get my refund on this, because I have a feeling I'm not going to get it. Luckily, a local store has the Sharper Image headset that I can purchase tomorrow AT A BETTER PRICE (it's on sale), but now I'm not even sure the quality will be worth anything!

I created an account for this just to write a review in hopes others would pay heed. I ordered 2 items from Sharper Image. 1 item came, 1 did not. Ended up returning the item that did come only to get a partial refund to ship it back. The second item that did not come: after about 4 different times calling and trying to get a replacement, I decided I was cutting too close to Christmas so I called yet again to have them just send me a refund. I GOT A PARTIAL REFUND FOR AN ITEM THAT WAS NEVER SENT TO ME, AND IN FACT WAS SOLD OUT. I am so appalled and disgusted. I will never even glance at this company again and will be telling everyone I know about my experience.

I ordered an expensive gift for my boyfriend for Christmas. For someone reason, during the order, the wrong address was placed in the system and it was shipped to San Diego. I now live in Napa. I contacted Sharper Image with regard to this issue and they pretty much told me there is nothing they can do since the package was delivered and that they would re-order the gift for me and charge me again! I contacted FedEx who was more than helpful to attempt to track down the package but unable to do so. The package is not at the delivered address and nowhere to be found. Sharper Image has terrible customer service and was less than helpful during this very stressful time. I will never purchase anything from this company again and I will encourage everyone I know to do the same.

Attempted to use the $36 I earned from a previous order, and was denied applying that earned amount. The representative informed me that because the company had a promotion of free shipping with a $60 dollar order and 20% off, they couldn't honor the cashback I had earned. There was nothing stating this restriction provided in the email which was sent to me with the code for my $36 cashback certificate. I've decided I will not do any further business with this company and have unsubscribed from any of their future emails.

On Nov 16, 2017 I ordered the Wild West Shooter Set from Sharper Image. It was a birthday gift for my grandson. The listed toy did not say "back ordered" so I was confident that he'd receive it before his birthday even if took an extra 3 days to receive it. Here we continue to wait. Now the 28th and still no tracking so I just called Sharper Image and got the newest story from "Louella" that it is due in this week. They now promise expedited delivery but she admitted that the shipping is the usual 5-7 days after the shipment arrives! If you order a toy within a deadline, find another vendor and please don't spoil a child's Christmas waiting for something that they don't even have the courtesy to list as back ordered!

I purchased a Sharper Image DX2 Stunt Drone 2 days ago. On its second flight, I pressed the auto land button, and the drone just flew away on its own. I called the company and they didn't seem to care. In fact they didn't even bother asking for a model number (which will help them identify which warranty comes with the product) before declaring that my only option is to buy a new drone. I used to believe Sharper Image provided high quality innovative products. I am saddened to learn that they sell products of very poor quality and don't stand behind their products. I will not buy anything from Sharper Image again, and you shouldn't either.

Sharper image sells your information. Since making one purchase with them I've been inundated with catalogs and magazines for things that I have absolutely no interest in (...I'm not talking about Sharper Image's own publications, which by themselves are excessive). I've had to make countless phone calls to businesses asking to be removed from their mailing list, and when I ask where they got my information from, they've told me that it was from my Sharper Image purchase. I find this completely unethical, to exploit paying customers who trust you with their information. I will not be buying from them again.

All consumers, be forewarned. This company is a FRAUD. Save yourself the frustration, don't ever order from Sharper Image. Twice they charged my card for an order that was "shipped." When I checked the FedEx tracking number three days later, there was no information available. FedEx doesn't even have the tracking number. They will put fake FedEx tracking number so they can charge your credit card and you wait for nothing. Then they will give you a gift card that you can use only on their site, of course, and the cycle continues. Your card is charged again because the item has 'shipped,' then another fraudulent tracking number. You call again. And it's the same bs. That's my experience with Sharper Image. This company should go out of business.

I was told to put the gel pack in boiling water for 10 minutes after use to get it soft again. I have done this twice with my gel pack and it gets soft and once it cools off it gets hard again and cannot be used. It worked like a charm but once I wanted to use it again and put it in boiling water, it got soft again and I let it cool off and it got hard again and was not able to activate to make it hot. Not sure if there is anything I can do but wanted to warn others of this. This was not a cheap item and as of now it is of little or no use to me. Got it at Sam's Club during a special kiosk. Do not have an order number or a receipt. Probably screwed, but still upset that I spent all this money and now I have nothing.

I get an in-store credit for their mistake in sending me a package purchased for my son. I have to take the package to FedEx since they can drop off but not pick up. I don't want an in-store credit. I will not be buying from them again.

Purchased two items as Christmas gifts. When received, both were not the quality I expected. Tried to return and WHAT A HASSLE! First, I paid for my OWN return postage through the USPS. Second, once they got my return, they only credited me for one item even though I had returned two (in the same box). 2 calls to CS later and they FINALLY got it straight. Once I got my $$ returned, they shorted me $8.00 for "postage"... even though I had paid my OWN postage to return. Will NEVER buy at Sharper Image ever again and will share my experience with as many people as I can. Buyer beware!!

I have purchased the wireless tv headphones and the sound, when it works is of an old AM station static quality. The bluetooth wireless earbuds only connect one side. Anyways all products purchased from this brand did not work or worked poorly. Not a worth product to buy or gift.

Sharper Image offers cash back to be used on a future order. Cash back insinuates that it can be applied as a form of payment on your next order. Upon receipt of your cash back email, it describes that this is a form of payment and to use it in the gift certificate field. However, once you do that, if you use a promo code such as free shipping, an error is provided that you can only use one promo discount per order. This is very misleading as everyone who's ever received cash back believes it is a form of payment to be applied and discounts can be applied too, like any other order (payment minus discounts). This is really false advertising in my opinion and I'm very surprised there's not been anything done about it. It lures you into purchasing now to get cash back on a future order, but it isn't cash back.
Per their own terms, it does state it is a form of payment and does not state that it is considered a promo and other promo codes cannot be used, for example, free shipping codes. Here is the verbiage: "Cash Back: Receive a 20% cash back coupon on your purchase. Qualifying orders must be $99 or more, excluding taxes and shipping charges. Cash Back coupons can be used as a payment method for a future purchase. Cash Back coupons are limited to the first $1,000 of merchandise purchased. Coupons are issued via email within 2 business days after the order ships. Coupons may be redeemed through 1/31/17. Offer expires 12/23/16 at 5 PM EST."
When I attempted to apply a code for free shipping, and then my cash back gift certificate code, this error was received, note that NOW they call it a promotional gift certificate. Using the terms promotional gift certificate, coupon codes, and cash back interchangeably at different points in the qualifying, receiving, and applying process is totally misleading: "Sorry, your promotional gift certificate can't be used together with your promo code. Only one promotion per order. If you would like to use your promotional gift certificate on this order, please remove the promo code above." PURE BUNK, FALSE ADVERTISING, MISLEADING THE CONSUMER UPFRONT, BAIT & SWITCH.

SHARPER IMAGE does not stand behind their products. I called customer service about a problem with one of their products. They tell me that they don't have any information on that particular problem and that there is nothing that she can do for me. So guess what? Here's my wonderful review of what I think about SHARPER IMAGE. GO SCREW YOURSELF WITH THESE GARBAGE ASS PRODUCTS. Needless to say I still have my receipt and it will be going back to the store TODAY. PS. Very cheaply made products.

Ordered a hoverboard 2 weeks before Christmas. They guaranteed delivery before Christmas. I called 3 times a week before and they assure the items will come. 4 days before I got the tracking info with the delivery date 12/28. After 1 hour wait, somebody answer at the customer service and of course I got the "accept our apologies". I got the board on the 29th and it should have come with a card for $60 cash back which was advertised. Instead I got a code for a credit in their store that expires in 1 month (other false advertising). Altogether a horrible experience. Shame for a brand name.

I purchased an item on 12/20 for 2 day delivery. Never received a confirmation of shipment. I called and was on hold for two hours on 12/21. Sent a email requesting item to cancelled if it wasn't shipped. Still nothing. Emailed again on 12/22 and 12/23. At 6pm on 12/23 received a email stating my order would be shipped and received by 12/30. Customer service line was closed so emailed again that order needs to be cancelled. (It was present). Then on 12/26 received shipping notice.
When I finally got through to customer service I was told that email isn't a good form of notification even though it is an option. I told the customer service rep that I needed the order pulled and I was not paying for shipping. She said basically "returns are free so not sure why you are upset." Upset because I paid for two day shipping for a gift that was never received. Was told a supervisor would handle but don't have confidence that is going to happen. I will be disputing with credit card company. Horrible service.

Their website currently lists their holiday shipping dates as the following: Holiday Express: Must order by Tuesday, 12/20 @ 11:59 PM EST for Christmas Delivery; 2-Day Air: Must order by Wednesday, 12/21 @ 5 PM EST for Christmas Delivery; Next Day Air: Must order by Friday, 12/23 @ 5 PM EST for Christmas Delivery. My order was placed Tuesday, 12/20 @ 2:30 PM EST and guaranteed to reach me for Christmas Delivery. 2 days after ordering, I had still yet to receive a confirmation email that my order had shipped. Upon contacting Customer Service, I was informed that my order would not be reaching me until "between the 26th and 28th" due to "delays at the shipping warehouse." Upon asking if that meant all 2-Day Air and Next Day Air orders were delayed, I was simply told "no".
As a result, I asked today (Thursday, 12/22) to simply be upgraded to Next Day Air in order to get the gift in time. I was told that "The Next Day Air shipping option is at its capacity for the holiday" and countered with 10% off my order. How dare a company "guarantee" shipping for Christmas and not only fail to meet the deadline that you paid extra for, but refuse to make it right? No wonder these guys had to cease operations 8 years ago and be resurrected. 1.1 rating here, 1.0 on another site. You would think after hundreds of negative reviews like mine were posted on reputable sites such as ConsumerAffairs, that they would finally shape up. Right. What an absolute freaking farce of a company. It's a modern miracle that they're even in business.

Called to add a gift message to an order I placed minutes before. They are unable to add a gift message and told me I had to cancel the order then go back and repurchase the item online in order to add a gift message. I said, "ridiculous!" But agreed. Then she put me on hold while she told someone I was cancelling the order. I asked her to email me confirmation number for order that was cancelled. She said they don't send emails and they had no confirmation number to give me. I asked her how is that possible and not that I don't trust her but that all companies of their size have the ability to give you something showing that the order was cancelled. I said "its 80.00 and am I just supposed to go on your word". She said yes, I watched the "lady type it in to cancel the order".
I can't believe a company of this size cannot send emails out with confirmations and that they couldn't edit an order and attach a message to the item. I told her to please pass these concerns along. She could have cared less. I then told her they lost my sale because they can't seem to service their customers. Awful experience, sad when it is a company that has built their reputation on being forward thinking and having the latest greatest everything. They need to get the latest greatest point of purchase web software that can do the two tasks that were requested. Simple simple customer service features that nowadays almost every ecommerce platform has.

Faulty product - stopped working one week after arrival. The power button ceased to function within a week of receipt. Sharper Image refuses to accept returns of "personal care items", which make up the majority of their inventory. A phone call to their customer service department revealed that they only take calls during the week (M-F). Product is extremely low quality plastic, and apparently poor grade electronic components. I am sorry I chose to do business with this firm, and will search elsewhere for future purchases.

I see that Sharper Image has a no return policy if I opened a product to try it. I don't like the product and tried to return it - no returns accepted for opened merchandise. How can Sharper Image expect people to try out a travel pillow still in the box - unopened. I will no longer buy from Sharper Image. Very poor customer service policies.

Purchased 2 Christmas projector lights for front yard in Nov 2015. One didn't work and we called for a replacement. We were told they were sold out and a return shipping label would be sent to us. A week later the second projector light stopped working and we still had no return label. Called multiple times and finally on Jan 20th we got the labels. Items were promptly returned and we got a message on Jan 28rd that our returned items were received and we should expect a refund in 3-5 days. On Feb 5th we called them because the refund never happened. We were told to expect a call back in 24 hours. We never got a call back so we called them 22 more times in the following three weeks without any call back. Luckily we had paid with PayPal, so we filed a dispute with PayPal. We got a refund today. I expect a lot of people would have just giving up and let the $270 go, not us. We will never purchase from Sharper Image again!

I ordered 4 sets of pillow cases and was charged for them. I received one set. I called to report and was told the other three sets would be sent. I received one more set. I called to report and was told someone would get back to me within 24 hours. That never happened. I called four more times, waiting a week between each call and was told the same thing every time. Only an answering service ever answers and no one ever called me back. I also sent 3 emails and received automatically generated responses saying that someone would contact me within 24 hours. Again, that never happened. I am out the money with nothing to show for it. Sharper Image appears to have NO customer service at all.

I ordered a piece of exercise equipment from the Sharper Image online on 2-14-16. I received the item about a week later. It was defective. It did not work at all like the video on The Sharper Image showed. I sent the product back within 1 day of receiving it, using The Sharper Image's self service return page. I also spoke with three of The Sharper Image's customer service specialists explaining that the product was defective and that I fully expected my shipping costs back.
On 2-22-16 between 3:20pm and 3:40pm central time, I spoke with Shannon, an online customer service specialist, who promised that my shipping costs would be fully refunded since the item was absolutely defective. I received my refund on 3-2-16 and it was in the amount of $177 which is missing my $50 in shipping. The refund should have been $222.98. I have called customer service for two days and have been told that no specialists are available due to technical issues. I was told to call back tomorrow, yet again today. I was also told I would be called back in 24 hours 48 hours ago. I also cannot send emails to customer service as they are returned as non deliverable. I have spoke to about four different people from customer service but they all say they are not specialists and that they cannot help or contact someone who could. In addition, no managers are available.
This is bad business. The Sharper Image was dishonest about my shipping being refunded. I even called a second time, before I actually received the refund, to verify that my account was noted. I was told that my account was indeed noted that all shipping would be refunded. What company has no way to reach customer service specialists or at least a manager for periods of days, during business hours? It's shady to say the least. 0 stars out of 5.

Bought my hoverboard Black Friday. First the gears started making the board "catch". I took it back to retail store and was told they cannot exchange or replace for same price. I contact Sharper Image they said they'd replace but never sent box. Then I read on website they will not take responsibility for items not purchased directly from them. We put WD-40 on gears, they seemed to work. Yesterday started doing same thing... slowing down, jerking. Then earlier today it completely cut off, threw my young son across the room. A sudden stop at 12mph can do that. I wonder if a lawsuit will get their attention. It is defective enough to cause physical harm but will not replace a three month old item I paid $350 for. I bought at Kohl's but Sharper Image provides warranty. I have a hurt child and neither company will fix, replace or refund for the thing. I'm frustrated and irate.

I purchased 3 items for Christmas for my wife. One of the items was electronic and did not work. I have now made 10 phone calls to try and initiate an exchange. It took 6 calls just to get someone to send me a return address. I even offered to send the item back with me paying the freight but they would not give me a return authorization number. Today, after 4 more phone calls, I finally got someone to look into my order and check to see if they received the defective item back. They did receive it about 10 days ago but they could not tell me if a new replacement item was going to be sent to me. I'm betting I will need to make several more phone calls just to receive my exchange. This is the poorest customer service company I have ever dealt with.

Saw the heated slipper ad online and purchased them. They arrived within a week, however have not worked... Followed instructions to the letter concerning charging batteries etc. but no luck. Contacted Sharper Image to return defective product, advised that it was a personal product and could not return. Nothing in ad when purchased regarding the return policy. If it was there I would not have purchased the item as there is no guarantee that the product will work as advertised. Would never again purchase anything from Sharper Image, it's a rip off.

I returned an item in December. Sharper Image confirmed they received it from Fed Ex on 12/16/15. I have not received my refund of $217.94 - almost 2 months later. I have called several times and told it was being processed. I have written emails and received an auto response that I would hear from them within 48 hours - nothing. The customer service group tells me they "are really backed up". It's been TWO months. Can I please, please, please have my money back now? At least acknowledge all the calls, messages, emails I have sent?

I ordered a backrest massage unit. Couldn't track it but email customer service and it arrived next day. I took it out of box, only back part still covered in plastic wrap. It was very uncomfortable. I didn't even take plug or put armrest on back part, overhead reading lamp still wrapped in plastic! Tried to get return label online. States personal item cannot be return. Look I know there are people out there that use things and then return them in poor condition. I am not one. Customer service when called took all information and said someone will call me. I received an item that was defective. I contacted Sharper Image telling them I am not paying for shipping since the item was defective and to please send me a label that will not deduct the shipping charges. After (6) phone calls, I finally received my label. I returned the item and I received an email stating the refund I was getting and they still took out money for shipping after all the hassle I went through to get a label. They are dishonest people and the managers and supervisors should be ashamed of themselves. Sharper Image is a well-known company. I can't believe they treat their customers like this. They are stealing our money! Whoever owns the company needs to take a good look at who they're hiring and who is running their company. I will not order from them anymore and I will pass the word on to everyone I know.

Same as other reviews-- go online. They tell you it is accepted and processed and then "bingo". They have a problem and you will have to contact them or they lie and say "someone will contact you". I received merchandise for Christmas and it was not anything like what the description was. I have been trying to return for a month. No supervisor available and no one in customer service. "We will call you back" and "we will email you". I also just realized a lamp I ordered is defective and I am having the same problem. Horrible. How can we get the word out.

I have a pizza box oven that I purchased as a Christmas gift but am trying to return it. For 3 weeks their online return site has been down. Several call to customer service where they said would send me a return label (2 1/2 weeks later I'm still waiting for the label). Before Christmas they had an ad that guaranteed arrival before or on Christmas. I ordered. The item arrived AFTER Christmas. We did not want it so we have been trying to return it. We were told to get the "return label" online. That part of the site does not work. Has not since 1/1/2016. So I called. The CS Rep said she would send out a label right away. Over a week later I still have not rec'd it. They will not disclose the location for the returns. Seem to be giving everyone the run-around.

I ordered a heated neck massager for my elderly mother. The massager: too stiff and motor too loud to be comfortable. I made several frustrating phone calls to customer service line to get the free FedEx return label sent to me. Since it was a personal care item, told it could not be returned for credit but would be e-mailed a merchandise voucher to buy something else. I have verification Sharper Image received my item, but have ever been e-mailed a merchandise voucher. There is another item my mother prefers, so that is not an issue. However, I have called about 10 times over 2 weeks only to be transferred again and again in a circle until I end up back at a person who "will take my name and number so someone can call me back". I have been home and never have been "called back". Disgusted. Sharper Image is obviously taking my the item, money and time. Do not order from this company.

On 12/29/15, Sharper Image received my returns. After 5 phone calls and over two hours on the phone, it is 1/22/16 and I still do not have my refund. The items were returned as they were received. I even spoke to a supervisor and still no refund!! I wish I'd read this site before shopping there!

Not having purchased anything from sharper image for several years I was looking forward to receiving items I saw in their catalog... What a great disappointment! The items were somewhat different and of less quality than they photographed. I went to their system, got a return label, sent them back on December 8. Tracking showed that they were received on December 14 and since that time I have made over 10 calls attempting to get a refund. It is now January 18 and I'm still waiting!
They employ an unsatisfactory customer service system that continually puts you into a triage department rather than sending you to the refund and exchange department. They promise to call you back in two hours and never do. You believe you're speaking w/ a person that can actually expedite your concern but it's purely a smokescreen. This experience has been so destructive to their integrity that I will NEVER again shop with Sharper Image. In contrast, shopping w/ Amazon, all return issues are immediately resolved. Sharper Image has very poor customer service, as other reviewers have stated. I purchased an Infrared Heating Pad for my father for Christmas ($150!), and it failed after only 3 uses. Sharper Image kept just sending auto replies, or I would reach someone and be told they'd be in touch, but then nothing. After a week they told me they could not accept an open box.
A product failing after 3 uses is definitely the seller's problem. Any other reputable company would have sent me a replacement next day air. It's been 3 weeks and I'm still dealing with Sharper Image. I was told to send it back to the manufacturer, who now tells me they "cannot guarantee replacement" and will have to inspect it. I feel as though Sharper Image and the manufacturer, Venture Heat, are scamming me out of a very expensive purchase. If you have any problems with a product, just know that Sharper Image does not stand behind their products and customer service is very difficult to reach/deal with. Purchase your products elsewhere!

I think Sharper Image must be about to fold. There can be no other explanation for their completely giving up on any effort to provide any customer service. I ordered some items as Christmas gifts on December 21 with delivery guaranteed by Dec. 24th at the place I was visiting. They did not come by the time I left on December 26th. I've sent numerous emails since to try to get the products delivered and have been completely and totally ignored (other than one canned response that they would get back to me right away -- which they did not). I've never seen such a prominent business treat customers so badly. I would not buy from them in a million years. They should not be in business. .

Resolving a defective item becomes a true ordeal with Sharper Image. Its "customer service" is a circular, promises-only hell-hole, which continually re-routes everywhere EXCEPT to somebody who can actually do anything to resolve an issue. I have spend two weeks trying to get a discount or receive a replacement part on a $500 item... The manufacturer itself is easier to get a hold of than the retailer. I am beginning to think that disputing the charge on my credit card may be the only way to get it fixed. You've been warned... stay away!

I did not received all items ordered. I have sent 8 emails and called 5 times. WHEN they respond on email they keep sending the same canned answer stating the package was delivered. On calls, after being transferred multiple times, I'm told someone will call me back. No one ever calls me back. When I ask for a supervisor they claim there is no one they can transfer me to and keep repeating someone will call me back. What a joke. Will try again next week, then I'm giving up. Never again. I warn anyone against purchasing anything from "The Sharper Image!!" I don't care if it is Christmas or any other time! They DO NOT stand behind their guarantee and after they have your money, they could absolutely care less about you as their customer!!! I made an order for a Hoverboard, spending over $500 with 2 day delivery before Christmas. This was a Santa gift for a little boy who has nothing!! Needless to say I still have not received my item and had to come up with something different at the last minute!! I have called customer service talking to different agents & supervisors and they ALL have the same lack of care and concern for their customers!
They do not accept responsibility!! They blame it on Fedex and told me that "it was NOT their problem" even though Sharper Image made my item a ground delivery and not a 2 day delivery! FedEx is not the ones who fill out the delivery details, but Sharper Image believes that their customers are too stupid to believe otherwise!! I have taught customer service for over 17 years to many different companies so "YES" I have heard and seen it all, or so I thought!! Thank you Sharper Image, I recorded every phone conversation I had with your agents and supervisors and assure you that I have enough material for my next year of customer service classes!! Have not used Sharper Image in about 20 yrs. Saw a catalog and saw a few things that looked fun. Ordered from them and the packages came damaged and worn looking. Email customer service and they do not address the issue at all except to say return them BUT the problem is Christmas around the corner. Email back about a couple of other problems and never heard back. Horrible customer service!! We received an item that was sooo obviously repackaged but never checked when shipped back from original person, so we received it broken. This is incredible. Will let everyone know how horrible this company is.

Inferior products at higher price points... My mom ordered me a pair of bluetooth headphones for my birthday, one of the headsets was not working/very low. Called to make an exchange, customer service representative treated me like a 2 year old, when I questioned him on why he was treating me that way he stated he was "just trying to make it through the day." Nice, I thought to myself. It was my birthday, Christmas eve, dealing with an inferior product that was overpriced and defective, and to be treated like a unwanted piece of you know what.
Wanted to make a simple exchange, he promised me a call tag, it never came to my email. Called customer service again, now wanting to return the product since I don't want to inconvenience a company that doesn't want customers or exhibit professional customer service, after 10 minutes dealing with another rep, finally requested a supervisor. Spoke with "Justin", he promised me a call tag immediately, that too never came. Called a third time, customer service closed, just a call agency. "Sharper Image" should be called "Duller Illusion."

I purchased 4 items from Sharper Image. The first item, worked once and never again. I called Sharper Image. They would not let me return it. They told me to talk to customer service. I called. They said they would call me back and were "too busy" to solve this concern when they realized what I was asking. They never called back. The second item, a battery charger, also worked once. Because I opened and threw away the box, I haven't bothered to call them to return it. The third item, I didn't open the box and just sent it right back. It's been over 5-weeks and I still haven't received my refund.
Their customer service is atrocious, their product line has declined immensely over the years. I would never buy from this company again. And finally, I have written two reviews on their website, under the product that I bought (because they sent me an email to review it) and guess what? They never posted my review, which was 1-star. Something smell fishy to me...

I would give them 0 star. This is my story. I bought this item for my daughters' Christmas present. I ordered online on 12/16/2015 because their website says it's guaranteed to be delivered before Christmas. I got FedEx tracking number and the scheduled delivered date will be 12/22/2015. But the FedEx tracking number has not been changed since 12/16/2015.
I was nervous and called the Sharper Image two times on 12/18 and 12/21. The FedEx told me that they haven't received the package from Sharper Image on 12/21. Even though they received on 12/21 and they can't deliver to California before Christmas. However their representatives kept on telling me that they are sure we will get our present and asked me to check the FedEx status on 12/21/2015. Finally I checked FedEx status this morning, still nothing changed. I called the Sharper Image. Now they told me that my order is out of stock and we can't get it before Christmas. They are liars and ruined our Christmas. This is my first time trying to buy from Sharper Image and it will be last time too.

I clicked on a Google link that took me to Sharper Image online and it pulled up a SI page. that link is www.sharperimageonline.com. Note the "online" end of that address. That's where I was scammed. I ordered two $200 'e-cards' to be delivered to my two daughters' email addresses for their birthdays. Each was $200 and I clicked on this website's PayPal link and paid these people $400, which was instantly debited from my bank account as always (I heart PayPal). When my daughters didn't get their cards on their birthdays, I went back to Sharper Image to find out what happened.
Long story short, they ran me around and around with every trick in the book to keep me busy and talking to different people with lies like "PayPal is down for upgrades, so please wait for your transaction to go through" and "PayPal declined your $400 purchase (100% false)". Then a few more excuses and switching me to this person and that person. I spent an hour with these despicable crooks and thieves, which I am aware - now - is their MO: Keep em on the line until the transaction goes through. I demanded my $400 be refunded and you would not believe how they run you around and deceive you. I think they do it for fun, actually.
After an hour of runaround and giving them transaction numbers and checking emails and all kinds of stuff that they enjoy making you do to buy time so you can't cancel the payments with your bank, I got so mad I was typing in ALL CAPS that I wanted a refund now, over and over. They just kept running me around and around with no issues taken care of. My order number and PayPal number did not matter with them. My husband came in because he thought I was going to have a stroke or a heart attack from anger. Bottom line, they have not refunded my $400 and never will. All I can do is eat the loss and put their scam on every website for scam reporting that I can find, like Consumer Reports and the US government's other sites for retail scams. I'll go to the ends of the earth to expose this horrible thieves den of a website (www.sharperimageonline.com).
Moral of the story: Don't forget to look up at the URL at the top of the page before shopping on any site, but especially Sharper Image, who, apparently, don't keep any vigilance to keep their name clean. I hope my $400 loss story gets spread all over the internet and shuts that shame site down, www.sharperimageonline.com. I hope they get caught and prosecuted.

I purchased a desk lamp from the Sharper Image catalog in August, 2014 for $119.99. The lamp stopped functioning within a month or two. Since my daughter had the lamp at school, she didn't tell me about it until she got back from school. I subsequently contacted Sharper Image for a replacement. They referred me to the manufacturer, Irtronix, which is a company located in California. After getting the runaround, literally being told by each to speak to the other, I finally was informed by Irtronix that the lamp was defective and was discontinued, so they could not replace it. I asked for a refund, but was told that they would give a credit to Sharper Image, which would in turn provide me with a refund.
Instead, Sharper Image wrote to me and offered me a "store credit," which I refused since they don't carry any other desk lamps, and frankly I have no interest in their other catalog garbage. I went back to Irtronix, and they told me "too bad, we already credited Sharper Image so you have to deal with Sharper Image." I went back to Sharper Image, and they won't budge. I wouldn't do business with Sharper Image ever again. As for Irtronix, obviously they produce and sell crap. Stay away from both of these guys!

This was my first experience with Sharper image and I will never buy from them again. I ordered a $300 item and the system was unable to accept my shipping address on-line. I called customer service and the person who answered was confused but eventually got us through the process but unfortunately added my address wrong. I never received the shipping confirmation email to verify the correct address and my item was shipped to a vacant house and disappeared. All customer service would tell me is "sorry". The system still won't let me correct my address. Never again will I purchase anything from them or recommend anyone else to buy from them.

Bought a wallet that has an emergency battery built in. This was my son's 17th birthday gift. It first came in a plastic little bag. That was it. No box, no manual, and no USB cord. I called 3 times to address this situation. They didn't even have all the times I called recorded which made me mad because I thought they were "working" on it. Not so much. I emailed twice and finally after 3 weeks I get an email saying all the missing pieces will arrive on Monday. Great I thought until I opened the envelope to find that not all the pieces were there.
So once again I emailed them and they said it will be taken care and should receive it. Ok I thought until 20 minutes ago I get an email from ** saying she checked with the warehouse and they did "indeed" send it. Really coz it isn't here!!! Not quite sure what they are saying... Maybe that I'm lying!! By option is that I think we got a return originally with half of the product. After reading all these complaints I can't believe this is how they do business. I have bought things before but I will NOT anymore.

This was my first purchase from SI, and it will most definitely be my last. I paid for express shipping on an item, and it was defective when it arrived. I called to address the issue with customer service and waited at least 15 minutes before being assisted. To be as brief as possible, I was hung up on by 2 representatives, was refused contact with a supervisor, and hung up on an additional time before I was even connected. I'm assuming that the "children" working in the department had visibility to my phone number and decided that they no longer wished to speak with me. I finally had to speak with a supervisor in the sales department, who escalated my call. I am currently still awaiting a call back from the return department supervisor, but I'm not holding my breath. I have never dealt with such an unsavory company. Don't waste your time and money!

I bought my ionic breeze in 2008, and I thought this was a reputable company.. am I a FOOL!! SHARPER IMAGE ARE Liars and THIEVES. I have had nothing but problems, now if you call them they use the excuse that they are a new company and there is a former Sharper Image company.. I just walked into one at a local mall, I have a discount coupon -- if only I knew - I WILL NEVER EVER EVER step into a Sharper Image again. If they went bankrupt once, they will go bankrupt again. It is very clear to me that this company exists for the sole purpose of scamming people. They sell crappy products and then when you call to complain they claim they are not responsible and you should speak with the manufacturer, since they just put their name on the product. When you ask for the manufacturer's information they hang up on you. I can only hope this company goes out of business before it steals any more money from hard working people.

I ordered a Christmas gift from Sharper Image on 12/08/14. It never arrived. So I had to go out and buy another gift from another store to replace it. I have called Sharper Image 3 times and emailed them at LEAST 6 times and they promised me on the phone to give me a store credit within two days. This has been going on for weeks. Needless to say, I have never received the store credit. They say that FedEx shows it was delivered. However, if I don't have it I don't care what FedEx says! Avoid this company like the plague! After reading about the company, it appears they are circling the drain and should be gone soon. Good riddance! Too bad I had to learn the hard and expensive way this company was dying.

5 piece LED with daily timer candle set - I was given this product for Christmas and was not impressed as the one candle switch would only go to either timer or the off position and not stop in the middle at the on position. Also when new batteries were installed the light would only work in four out of the five candles. Do not waste money on this product.

My wife bought this for her elderly parents who frequently lose their house keys, especially since my father-in-law suffers from Alzheimer's. This product is, basically, junk. The batteries were dead upon arrival and the fobs required unscrewing to install said batteries, but were so tightly screwed together that I practically had to take a pair of channel locks to it. Once installed, the batteries didn't work. The larger problem, in my opinion, is that The Sharper Image sells mostly junk manufactured, poorly, in China. This is not our first negative experience with TSI. I would avoid all TSI products in general and this key fob finder in particular. Fortunately, she purchased this product from Bed Bath and Beyond and they are a phenomenal company with a generous return policy, so she'll be able to return this thing for a full refund. Sadly, the distance between The Sharper Image and BB & B could not be more fully on display than in this instance.

I have contacted Sharper Image 3 times! I told them the product arrived and had a huge air leak and I wanted a refund. They agreed and said they'd send a label by Fedex but it never came. I called back, they said this is from a 3rd party. They said, "We are waiting to hear from them." Again, nothing has happened. Later call, they said they would go ahead and send the label by FedEx and an RA number to my email. I got nothing! I am getting the runaround. I feel they stole $179.00 plus tax from me! My wife bought me the RC Cooler from Sharper Image. Forget about she could have gotten it cheaper with free shipping from Amazon. That's her fault for not doing a web search. Here is the thing the reviews on Sharper Image's website all say this thing is great. The overall rating was 4.3 out of 5. The unit arrived broken. I wrote a negative review. It disappeared later in the day.
I checked Amazon and this thing has a 1.5 out of 5 star rating. Out of 8 reviews 4 reviews say it was broken on arrival and another said it broke shortly after arrival. Sharper image is a crooked company. They purposefully manipulate the ratings on their website. There should be a law against this. If my wife had looked at the reviews on Amazon, she never would have bought this item. Best part they send me a broken product and I get to pay to send it back. I would suggest not buying from Sharper Image. I certainly will never do so again.

We purchased the 3 matching Sharper Image hardside twister luggage pieces in late October 2013. We used the 3 pieces only twice and on the two larger of the 3 pieces, the carry handles broke off, making it extremely difficult to pull the luggage off the conveyor belt, etc. After reading the "3 year warranty" it states that we have to ship the broken pieces back to California (we pay the shipping from Florida). Simply put, no one is going to ship anything as bulky as luggage back to them for repair and they know it.
If we had paid the $780.00 retail price for this luggage I would be enraged! However, I just feel stupid and angry and I wish to share my experience so others might not make the same mistake. By the way, we shopped long and hard, thinking we made the right choice since I did not see any bad reviews on this particular product, in fact, I passed on the Jeep brand because they reported that the handles broke off after only a few uses... so I suggest you pass on both!

I received a gift of the Sharper Image 15.6" Vertical Trolley. It is cute. It has compartments and takes in as much luggage as a normally larger looking carry-on trolley. BUT THE zipper of the major compartment reopens after packing (no over-stuffing, just general loose packing)!. Also, after ONE use, the telescopic handle is loose. Sharper Image does not care! It is ALL about WHERE we purchased it and returning it with the receipt. I DO NOT HAVE THE RECEIPT. I DO NOT WISH TO ASK THE GIFTER FOR IT as they would feel awful. WHY CAN'T SI stand behind their name and product and courteously correct a genuine concern? Is that asking for too much especially when EVERYTHING they have costs more than other products and THINKING SI to be a better make, consumers purchase their products? NEVER AGAIN! And after seeing the many dissatisfied customers on this site, SI should be forced to correct these complaints and situations, where genuine by accepting the product from the dissatisfied consumer.

I purchased The Sharper Image Portable Electronic Key Finder from a retailer and when I got home, the product didn't work. The box was empty of directions or warranty registration so I did basic troubleshooting like removing batteries and putting in brand new ones and checking for plastic barrier tabs placed in the device to prevent the battery from dying, looked for reset buttons and there was nothing. I sent an email to the customer service department requesting an emailed copy of the owner's manual or direction on how to get them or anything.
My response from Shannon stated, "Thank you for the email. You didn't purchase this item from Sharper Image so Sharper Image is not responsible. You must take it back to the retailer you bought it from." I didn't ask for a refund or credit. Never once did I imply that your company was at fault for anything. I asked for a good faith effort to help me with a product Sharper Image does make and sell.
Who would know better how to help a customer with a product you make and sell than the company who sells it? I can't even believe that a company like Sharper Image would employ people without proper product knowledge or basic customer service skills. I will never purchase a Sharper Image product again in my life and I will be researching to find all your sister companies or anything your company benefits from or represents. I want you to know that I intend to enlighten everyone I can of how Sharper Image treats their customers whether directly purchased from you or indirectly through a retailer. It doesn't matter. When your name is on a product, it still is representative of you. You don't value your customers and you don't stand behind your products.

I ordered one of SharperImage.com's warming foot massagers for my wife for Christmas. The first time she tried it, it neither warmed nor massaged to any degree of satisfaction. When I called SharperImage.com's customer service about another issue regarding my account there, I casually mentioned that I was returning the massager for the above reason. I was told that the item is not returnable because it is a personal care item. I venture to guess that most other online retailers, and almost certainly any reputable brick and mortar retailer, would accept a return on this item with no questions asked. Probably with no receipt required during the Christmas return season. I intend never to buy any Sharper Image merchandise again, online or in a retail store, because of their lousy customer service.

I purchased 2 Ionic Breeze Germicidal Protection (GP) units and 3 small Plug-In Ionizers on May 9, 2002, for a total of $814. I have just recently started learning of the dangers of ozone and the class action lawsuit and the bankruptcy of Sharper Image. My asthma is worse and I even noticed less lung capacity now. I kept the units running constantly for about the first 2 years, then not too often, because of the cleaning. I am very angry and there is probably no course of action now. Is there anything that can still be done, even just a refund, so I could use the money to buy an air filter that does not harm me or the environment? Help!

I bought a professional series Ionic Breeze GP Germicidal Protection silent air purifier (model # S1830) directly from Shaper Image and paid over $600 for the unit (plus shipping). I used it in my bedroom for years because of sinus problems and other issues. I never noticed any problems as the unit always cleaned the air as I was led to believe. Just the other day, I was showing the unit to a friend and noticed that it was not working. When I went online to find a solution, I found more than I cared for. Law suits, recalls, etc. ** it! I paid a ton of money and I am on Social Security and cannot afford an attorney or to fight to get my money back. So, now, what do I do with a broken unit I cannot return or repair?

I ordered a Nuwave oven on 1/18/12 online. I was charged on 1/23/12 and 1/28/12. I called on 3/8/12 and they refused to refund my money saying that I needed to return the second shipped item before they could refund the money. We bought two Sharper Image air purifiers and were never aware of the ozone hazard and subsequent recall. We have had the purifiers a few years and have since developed cough, wheezing and sometimes shortness of breath. I have now been diagnosed with asthma and I am 75 years old. Today, I started researching these machines and find that the original company has gone bankrupt. There was a recall and now, I am aware of the many ozone hazards.

Ive been using the Ionic Breeze air purifiers for about 20 years, probably since they were first invented. A few months ago, I started feeling as if I were catching a cold. I have had congestion and other cold symptoms off and on for the past several months, but it never seemed to completely go away. Lately, it has gotten worse, to the point that I have had trouble breathing in the morning sometimes. So I got my Ionic Breeze out today and cleaned it and I was going to plug it in so I would have nice clean air to breath to help me get over this cold. When I got it out, I noticed one of the little plastic tabs was missing from the bottom of the inside part of the unit. I decided to go online to see if I could get a replacement part. That's when I found this article!

Four the last Three or Four years I have been going to the doctor for repeated breathing and sinius problems, I never knew why I kept getting them. I tried everything even wearing a mask a great deal of the time. When I read this article I am convienced the purifier made me sick. It came with no instructions, it was only after it started making noise I began to take it apart and saw some instructions for cleaning it. I had been sleeping with it in my room since I recieve it, which was about two years prior. I saw a commerical showning a colledge student having a purifier in her dorm room. If there is any information I should know as a result of this product please let me know.

I have been having a lot of breathing problems at night - coughing & my nose clogging up. I didn't have any idea what could be wrong. I use Ionic Breeze Quadra in my bedroom at night. I never dreamed that it could be causing my problems until I read this article. I didn't know that Sharper had problems with the unit. I have not slept without it yet so I don't know.

I placed an order for exercise equipment which I received but was not satisfied with. When I tried to return the item, which was never used, I was told that they did not take back exercise equipment. I checked the return policy in the catalog and it does not state that anywhere. My credit card company is following up with The Sharper Image as referenced by this charge.
My credit card has been charged almost $900 and it will be at least another 15-20 days before the credit card company can credit me back the funds because they have to give the company a chance to resolve this matter. This could have been resolved by the manager John ** at Sharper Image but he refused to come up with a solution that could have been acceptable to both of us. This is time consuming and unprofessional from a company who has had financial trouble in the past.

I purchased four air cleaners with extended warranties. When they were a brick and mortar store, the manufacturer warranty was for five years, the extended warranty was for an additional five years.
All four of my air cleaners stopped working. Sharper Images warranty department sent me four reconditioned air cleaners. I was told that the warranty for these, were only for one year, which I found outrageous; however, I had no choice but to agree to this so I could get working air cleaners. Since these air cleaners were reconditioned, they only lasted a few months.
Sharper Image sent me replacements (again reconditioned), and they too only lasted a few months. Eventually, after I passed the one year marked on the original return, Sharper Image would no longer send me a working air cleaner. Not one air cleaner worked for six months let alone one year.
When I agreed to their reneging of my original warranty, I thought these air cleaners have warranty for one year each. For example, if I received an air cleaner that lasted four months and Sharper Image sent me a reconditioned air cleaner, the one year warranty would start all over because this is a so-called new air cleaner.
I have dealt with other companies who have gone out of brick and mortar store business, where I have an extended warranty. Circuit City is one of those places. I bought a television from Circuit City. They sent me a brand new TV, not a reconditioned one. I had trouble with another TV from Circuit City, under an extended warranty. On this TV, Circuit City sent out someone to repair it.
Sharper Image should not be allowed to change the language of an existing warranty because they know their product would not last the 10 years they warranted it for. I believe that Sharper Image should return the money I paid for these products, if they don't want to send new replacements and if they don't want to honor the warranty I purchased.

I called the above number about 15 times. Got disconnected, redirected, cut off and left high and dry. The more they gave me the madder I got. And I kept it up till this girl, had a difficult accent, literally told me to throw it away and buy a new one. I never got her to help me in any way. I told her I didn't think it was working until I finally began to breath better. (I have COPD prescription for breathing apparatus from the Mayo Clinic Scottsdale, AZ). Then I found the ** thing wasn't even working.
That really threw me. I decided it may have been making it more difficult for me. I had it right beside my bed and bed stand so when I finally looked to clean it one time, the green light was not on. I never got it to work after that even though I cleaned the fins and replaced them as directed. I decided that it was making my breathing worse not better. This was after my awful call to Sharper Image.

Because the representative did not explain that either the item could not be gift wrapped or a gift card enclosed, and because the representative did not explain that the item was actually on back order, I decided not to purchase the item. When I asked to cancel the item, the representative could not cancel my order either! I was referred to Customer Service, but my connection was disconnected. When I called back, Customer Service was not open. A second call informed me that CS was closed until noon.
I called back the third time, waited 18 minutes on hold, and was told by the CS representative that Sharper Image does not cancel orders. You must refuse them! So now I have an unwrapped holiday gift, being mailed across the country, which can only be stopped if the receiver refuses to accept it. No cancellation number is given either, so I will not know if my credit card payment is cancelled or not. Something is very wrong here. This is poor, deceptive customer service that inconvenienced me and will unnecessarily inconvenience the receiver of this package.

I am just learning about the problems with Sharper Image's Ionic breeze. I have had two of them running in my home for several years now. I wake up with bad headaches almost every morning. It is very upsetting to learn that these devices may have been poisoning my air all these years. I did not join the class action lawsuit because I was not aware there was one. What course of action do Ionic Breeze owners have now? Is it too late to do something? Can we at least return these units to Sharper image or get our money back? I never knew they were recalled. I've just been reading all the complaints about them. I have them unplugged now. I'm scared to plug them back in. In the last several years, my headaches and my sinuses have gotten worse. I had a heart attack five years ago at the age of 46. I am constantly out of breath. What can I do about this?

I had hard time breathing when the Ionic breeze was in use. It made it difficult to breathe as well as caused more wheezing. I now have to use Sumbicort and Spiriva. Use of the machine caused me to have extensive breathing issues as stated.

I ordered 2 Ionic Breeze Purifiers and also received two small ones years ago. While I was working, no problem. Since now retired and in the home all the time. I have constant irritation with eyes and recently breathing, like I need to deep breathe. It's scary. I did not realize the purifiers put out a large amount of ozone! I would like my money back to purchase safe purifiers that purify the air of allergens, odor and dust. The more I am in my home without going outside for fresh air, my breathing seems shallow and eyes and nose seem to be affected. After reading the ozone problem, I now feel like I need to open up the house on regular basis for fresh air. Should I immediately get rid of these Ionic Breeze purifiers?

I do not remember how long ago we bought 2 Ionic Breeze units but we have had great success with them. I now have a problem with one of them and I would like to get it fixed. My wife had asthma as a child and after using these units, she has no symptoms at all. They used to remove all odors from the house in a very short time frame and they have been very good at cleaning the air. This is witnessed by the dirty collection grates and the unit exteriors have to be cleaned regularly. I think they have been a very good addition to our house's interior air quality. Ozone is a type of moisture and does well in cleaning small particulate matter from the air that would otherwise be taken in by breathing. I will keep using mine.

I researched the sharper image website for a nose & ear trimmer and a beard trimmer. I read about the features, specifications and product reviews. I put these items on my father's day list for my sons. One of my sons actually went on site to make the purchase. I have purchased products from sharper image before and have been very pleased with the products.
I saw no consequences in trying the product. The ear trimmer attachment was painful to use and the beard trimmer setting could not be set low enough to trim my beard. I called sharper image customer service and told them of my problem with their products. I was told that the items were not returnable.
I told them that there was nothing in the write up of either product that indicated the item was not returnable. They then told me that it was in the return policy. Speaking for the everyday person here, I do not think many people read the return policy in anticipation of a problem, especially when you have been pleased with the products and company purchased in the past.
If you care about your customers as much as you do about making money, then the no return policy for personal care items should be revealed at the bottom of the description and specification write up. I told them it was not fair to me as a customer that they hide the no return policy for personal care items in the fine print.
My complaint was escalated and the program manager said, no to the return. If I had read in the description or specification of the item I was purchasing that the item was not returnable then I would not have even purchased it. That is why a note about the product being non returnable is not in the write up anywhere. They tell you how great it is but fail to tell you it cannot be return which is deceptive. For sharper image this is a definite money making scam. I am out $80 with no recourse.

I purchased 3 Sharper Image Quadra Ionic Breeze machines and all have been shut down permanently because they were emitting an unbearable scent/odor which actually made me sick. Only recently did I learn that they may have contributed to my sickness. I would be willing to send it to whomever for testing and it would be more than obvious of its toxicity. One of the ionic breeze machines I purchased was for my father since he already had a condition known as COPD, but it in all likelihood contributed to his worsening condition. He is now deceased.

Around 2003-2004, I bought 2 Ionic Breeze machines with the germicidal light. I paid a little over $700 for both of them and got only 2 years of service. Within the first year, I had to replace the light, which cost $20. I was never notified if they were recalled. In reading the numerous complaints about them, many of us are in the same boat. Can anything be done now? The same year I bought the Ionic Breeze, I was unlucky enough to have purchased that lousy Maytag Neptune washer!

Ionic breeze stopped working and I've read that it has been deemed as useless and even harmful for some pulmonary conditions.

I was using Ionic Breezes Quadra and my asthma was getting bad. I cough all the time. I am sick nonstop and I know they have a lawsuit out against them. I would like to now how to get my name to the right person.

We purchased the Ionic Breeze and paid a lot for these units. Now, the Sharper Image store closed and none of the warranty will be covered due to store closing. I now have two Ionic Breezes that don't work.
Is there any way of getting a refund on these items or can the public get in on a lawsuit? If so what is needed or who do we contact?

I bought 2 Ionic Breeze units. One was a model SI730 with a plug in ionizer, and the other one was a SI146 Ozone Guard Black. Both died shortly after I bought them. Each unit was very expensive ($499.95) without including the shipping. The Sharper Image replaced one of them but the result was the same: a short time later the unit shut down by itself and did not work any longer?

I'm trying to find someone to get my Ionic Breeze Quadra fixed. It melted the plastic insert that you clean. It is a fire hazard and can't be used until fixed.

I purchased two Ionic Breeze Air purifiers for my Mom around December, 2003. Recently, I found out that they can cause respiratory problems due to their ozone emissions. Well, my Mom was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis, with scarring on her lungs, back in 2006. Now she is on oxygen so obviously her condition has worsened. I am extremely upset because I believe these air purifiers are connected to her lung disease. Sharper Image supposedly went out of business recently due to all the lawsuits from this product. What recourse do I have now?

I am concerned because I called to them and reported the ionic breeze burning up in the middle of the night in my sons room, and they had me to send it back and just sent me a refurbish one. If these were having problems all of the time, why didn't I get a letter because the refurbished one did not work. Burned up in the middle of the night in my sons room. The machine was covered in black smoke that was sent back to the company.

I have been using this machine for 5+ years. My whole family suffers from asthma. My infant daughter was hospitalized from asthma at 10 months old. We all take Singulair to deal with this issue. Since I just found out about the ozone, we removed it from the house. We have seen an increase in breathing easier. Only time will tell. We are taking expensive medicine to combat the asthma issues. We have a decreased lung capacity, less fun and play time.

I purchased three Iconic Breeze cleaners and Sharper Image never contact me in reference to the on-going law suit in effect. The Ionic Breeze machines ruined the walls and did not prevent germs, airborne and flus from occurring. Thank you.

I am just learning about Sharper Image's Ionic breeze. I have had one running for years. I wake up with bad headaches almost every morning. It is very upsetting to learn that this device may have been poisoning my air all these years. I did not join the class action lawsuit. What course of action do Ionic Breeze owners have now? Can we at least return these units to Sharper Image?

I just found out that there is a problem with the Ionic Breeze Quadra that I purchased for my mother in 2003. A friend told my husband about it after my husband mentioned that we started using it for ourselves after my mother died. We have asthma and thought that it would be a good thing to use for the family house. Originally purchased it to clean the air as my mother was bed ridden from Alzheimer's. I would like to know what I should do since I am hearing this machine puts off excess ozone and with my children in the home I am trying to do good and not the opposite. This makes me quite angry. Sound Soother MD# ec-b100 - I am missing three pages of instruction on how to set alarm and other functions. Sound has very poor quality. Sounds are of rhythms that are much too fast to sleep to. For example, heartbeat sound is about 120 beats per minutes. It took twenty minutes to get customer service rep! I will take this product back to Kohl's for refund. I will no longer consider buying any Sharper Image products! Big waste of my time.
