I bought an Air O Thermo Leg Massager for my husband for Christmas last year. After a year, it failed to charge. Sharper Image was not able to help and referred me to the company. After 3 phone calls to Customer Service (two were disconnected mid sentence), I ordered the part and paid for expedited shipping. I expected to get it in 5 days. There were no follow up emails regarding delivery timeframe. After 10 days, I called and was told that the item was out of stock and they didn't know when they would receive it. I sent an email to the Sales Department cancelling the order. Strangely, a week later after the order was cancelled, the package arrived. We refused it unopened and had the mail carrier return it to sender. They continue to bill me for an item I cancelled and returned. Stay away from Sharper Image. They deal with trashy, low end companies with products that don't work and poor customer service.

I purchased two of the "Auto Start Stop Portable Tire Inflators". When the batteries are fully inflated, you can add about 2 lbs to one tire before the battery needs to recharged. Recharging takes about 30 minutes, but that only allows you to add about 2 lbs to one more tire. The only way you can inflate 4 tires is to use the AC adapter that plugs into your car. Sharper Image did replace each battery once, but once the warranty has expired (1 year), you are out of luck.

I don't love the car seat heater but I'm stuck with it because of their insane return policy. By the time I paid the exorbitant shipping fees, I would have gotten like $4 back. That's ridiculous. I won't be back. I don't care how many 20% coupons they throw at me--you couldn't pay me to buy from them again.

I ordered a pitching machine for my grandson for Christmas, it took 8 days to arrive. It arrived dirty and used. All parts were just shoved into a box. When I contacted Shaper Image (several days of waiting for them to return my emails, answering calls, placed on hold for 15 mins at a time) they wouldn’t rush send me a new/unused one so I would have it for my 4 year old grandson's Christmas. They said they would need to receive the used one before shipping out a replacement. I had no doubt it would not arrive in time. When I insisted on a refund (I found the exact toy on Amazon 1/2 price and shipped free to me in 2 day) they wanted to charge me $22.95 for shipping and $35.00 for a return fee. So from a $101 toy they were refunding me $42. Do I need to mention I received a used dirty product? NEVER AGAIN will I use Sharper Image. Do yourself a favor and check Amazon first!!!

I will never, EVER purchase from this company again. Bought my husband the arthritis vibrating hand gloves, he used them twice and the left one stopped working. Kiss $139 goodbye! They won't return them because they're supposedly a 'personal item'. Buyer beware, their stuff is overpriced garbage and non refundable!!!

This is the worst company that I have ever had dealings with in my 76 years! I spent around $1500 at Sharper Image for Christmas presents for my family this year. I returned a one item unopened and requested a refund on my credit card. Just like other reviews here, I was given an e-gift card. This company operates like a bait and switch or like a shell game. You can’t figure out how much you actually pay for an item. These phony gift cards are a scam. I bought a photo printer which totally didn’t work. I was told to return it and that I wouldn’t be charged to return it. I then received an email that they were charging me $39.99 to return the printer and an additional $39.99 to return the paper and cartridges that I bought to use with it. How insane!!! $ 79.99 return charges for an item that would not work at all!! Can’t something be done about this company? They need to be put out of business now!

If I could give them a zero star I most certainly would. Bought the hip massager with heat as a Christmas present for my mother in law to help her with two upcoming hip replacements. It doesn’t even work!! Tried to do a return, but because it was opened it is nonreturnable. Even though it doesn’t work. Ridiculous‼️ I thought I was buying from a reputable company. $106 down the drain. I just heard from a friend of mine who ordered the same product and the same exact thing happened to her. I also received one of their foot massagers as a present this year and can’t even use it. The massager for the heal area squeezes so hard, it’s so painful no matter what size foot you have as I am a 7 and I had my husband try and he’s a 12 and he can’t use it. I highly recommend you don’t buy anything from them. Very furious about the whole situation. Worst products and return policy I have ever encountered.

Last Christmas (2023), I bought my mother an expensive infrared heating pad, According to the website: “FIR heat penetrates 3'' deep into muscles and bones. Ideal for arthritis, joint pain, and sports injuries.” My mom is in constant pain from numerous surgeries. She tried the heating pad - once - and it never came even close to being warm and she said it was like just like laying on a rag. She didn’t feel any relief. In fact, she didn’t feel anything at all. The website states, ”If you are not satisfied with your purchase within 60 days, you can return it for a replacement or a refund. Returned products must be in a new, unused condition…” That’s the catch. When I tried to return it because it clearly did not work, Sharper Image would not allow a return because it was “used”. How do you know if something works or not if you don’t use it? What a colossal waste of money.

I ordered Vibracool! For my achy foot! This thing is a joke!! They are crooks for charging 99 dollars for something that isn’t worth five bucks! Can’t even feel the vibrate! Waste of money!!! Worthless, laughable product! But I’m not laughing. I’m out 100 bucks.

I purchased an item with a discount offered. It was not applied. Called to cancel, but once it is in their system they said they could not cancel. Had to return at my expense despite buying the item and getting the discount and two other items. Bad customer service. Never again!

Purchased the pool vacuum where the demo shows it collecting leaves. It does not pick up one leaf. Company wants to charge $49 to return an item because they say it is not defective. How is it not defective if it does not operate as your demonstration shows?! Terrible customer service! Buyers beware!

If I could rate 0 stars I would. I had shopped online for something for my husband for Christmas, who liked gadgets, techy things, and anything different. I "thought" I had put a pair of battery operated heated slippers in the cart to later decide if that was my final decision. However, what actually happened is I had bought them. I totally forgot about it, never received them, and it wasn't until some months later when I was searching my account for something else that I saw a charge for almost $150 to Sharper Image.
I contacted the company and was told I needed to produce an invoice. Apparently they had no records of anything that happens there. Eventually, I searched and found an email. I forwarded this with the copy from my bank statement. The response from the company was, "Sorry, it's been too long but we'd be happy to give you a $25 discount for another purchase." You've gotta be kidding me! As though I would EVER give that company another dime. Never got the slippers or a refund. If you see a Sharper Image ad or website, run, fast, in the opposite direction!

Purchased an Ionic Comfort Quadra just over 2 yrs ago; went to remove the guts from housing and black handle broke 5/15/2024. Called Customer service, spoke with Logan who stated that the warranty for this expired 1/21/2024. His response was to send a replacement for same with 20% discount which is written on every catalog they send with free shipping. This is unacceptable as this item cost $379.99 2 years ago & Sharper Image is NOT standing behind their product. Sharper Image used to have a good reputation many years ago; currently they are POOR with equally POOR customer service. DO NOT purchase this product; it was a very expensive mistake.

I ordered the headphones for TV. They made a loud clicking noise whenever you turned the volume up or down. And after a week or so it would not even change the volume. Then I lost $20 because they don’t give you free returns so they subtracted $20 and only refunded me $80. Crooks and lousy products.

Purchased the Ultimate Fat Freezer in March. You are only to use it every 4 weeks. I followed the directions and the 2 times I've used it, I end up with a 3 inch circle that is red and inflamed. This product does not get cold enough to freeze and of course, it is not returnable because it is a personal product. (I've done Cool Sculpting so I know what to expect.)

I purchased a Sharper Image Quadra air cleaner, and after it came, it seemed to work well for 3 days, then stopped working. I sent it back and got another unit, and this has worked for 9 days after receipt, but developed the same issue, and also stopped working. The failure both times happened overnight, when the unit was turned off. The following day when I went to turn on the warranty replacement, it too had stopped working in the night when the unit was off.

I ordered a custom bobble head from Sharper Image on 11/12/23. They used an outside vendor allbobbleheads.com. Sharper Image sent me an envelope in the mail a few days later with a code for allbobbleheads.com. This code gave me a discount for allbobbleheads.com and they asked me to filled out some information and to send them two pictures of the person I wanted it to look like so they could create/cast it. I paid an expedited fee to have it arrive around Christmas or shortly after as it was going to be a present. They said it typically takes 6-8 weeks and they contacted me once or twice with questions about its progress. The first time they sent me a sample I didn't like it so they had to go back and make changes and then at the beginning of February I was finally able to give my approval to the final product. They should have sent it and they never did. My husband tried at least twice to get in touch with them during the month but never received and answer.
I started reaching out to Sharper image on 3/9/24 trying to get someone in charge (manager/supervisor) to refund my money. Not only did I pay Sharper image $92.38 but I also paid all bobble heads $178.13 for a product I never received. I have spoken to various managers and supervisors over the past three weeks trying to get Sharper Image to refund all of my money since they contracted with this vendor they are ultimately responsible. Sharper Image keeps telling me they are waiting for a response from allbobbleheads and that they will contact me when they do. I have tried myself to call/text and email allbobbleheads.com with no response. I am angry that Sharper image is not standing by and refunding my money except for the $92.38 I paid them. It has been over 4 months since the initial order was placed with nothing to show for it. The manager will not even give me a time frame when they stop trying to contact the vendor and take responsibility for the order I paid for and never received.

Whatever you do DO NOT purchase the foot massager. It barely heats and it makes a horrible buzz. Not to mention that it doesn't really massage--it just vibrates a bit! Also not returnable if you took the plastic off--not that you could know it doesn't work unless you tried it.

Purchased several items for christmas presents. Christmas at mom's got cancelled due to a death in the family. When I sent back 3/9 gifts I purchased Unopened. They charged me $100 for shipping and the sales tax I paid. I don't even think that's legal. I Had several phone conversations with reps Who I'm pretty sure are not in the U.S. Communication was rough and pointless. After 4-5 hours of headaches and frustration, I sent back everything & am disputing that $100 with paypal. I refuse to give my business to these crooks and advise anyone who does to BEWARE.

Paid 97 dollars for an Apple charging tray, purchased as a gift. Was very low quality and you need your own cables to make it functional. Tried to return and noticed I was only going to receive $60 back. The product was supposedly on "sale" but instead of selling it to you for the sale price, they charge you for a gift card for future uses. Once you receive an item from this company you'll never want to shop there again! They also charge an outrageous fee to ship even the lightest of items back.

I have ordered from this company before without incident, although their sales tactics and “mystery discounts” or supposed discounts at checkout are deceptive (buyer beware). My first significant issue is on a return. They only offer full price if you accept a store credit, otherwise they defect $17 on shipping for an item that weighs a few ounces (I should have shipped myself). Either way, my returned item was signed for on 12/21 and I still have no credit. Called customer service and got the runaround. I was supposedly emailed a code to redeem my credit. I did not receive. I confirmed correct email address and was told they would resend today - end of business day and still nothing. The person I spoke with before was polite and trying to be helpful but seemed limited in her understanding and ability to resolve. So frustrating!

I ordered heated gloves. They were too stiff and poorly made. Tried to return them for a refund. They sent a new pair instead. Email attempts to contact customer service went unanswered. Long waits on phone. Online return form wanted to deduct $40 from the original price of $180 to return them. They then sent me a return label for an exchange instead! Am now on phone for 30 minutes waiting for a supervisor. Aggravation as is so often the case with everything these days!

Placed order online and attempted to cancel within 15 minutes, contacted customer service via phone and email. Advised free return but the company deducted both delivery fees from my credit. It is only free return if you take a store credit.

I ordered something from them. Needless to say I never got the product or my money. I suppose this is why they went into bankruptcy from having too many lawsuits. Customer service is a huge joke. I do not recommend. Will never recommend.

I ordered spa hand warmers. They were $49. When I received them they were Conair brand and I could have bought online for $25. Sharper Image claims these as their products and then sends you another brand that you could have purchased for half the price.

This company rips off the customer via poor quality item(s) as well when return is able to be done, they take away from YOUR refund, the shipping and handling/s&h charge when ordered, the shipping and handling charge when you return item and they charge you a fee of some sort also! I lost a total of $37.18. I can see if they want to be sniveling ** to charge for the return s&h but all that they did take/took from me is **. This company needs an investigation done of the money they steal from customers in my opinion.

The Robo Rivals were fun while they lasted--8 weeks. I didn't save the box, Bed Bath & Beyond needs the box and receipt. Sharper Image will not deal with their products sold at retail stores. I don't think it's too much to ask that a toy last 6 months. Maybe I'm just an old fashioned grandmother with unrealistic expectations.

I bought an exercise bike that said it was recumbent, but after I put it together, it seemed like a regular bike and was definitely not a recumbent bike. When I asked to return it, they told me I had to pay for shipping it back and the cost was $186.00 and the bike cost $300.00. I ended up keeping it because the shipping was out of the question. Also, they tell you they are shipping it for free to you and you end up paying for shipping because they give you a Sharper Image gift card that I will never use in the amount of the shipping when they ship it to you, which was for only $56.00. Lesson learned for me...I will never buy another thing from this company.

I used to enjoy going to Sharper Image stores which is no longer the case. After the closing of all or some locations I was happy to find I could still order on line and did so this past Christmas. I found myself with a number of $25.00 gift cards (that were not optional) from Sharper Image that to this day I’m stuck with! Let me explain the “stuck with” part because I’m sure you're wondering why I would not want a GIFT CARD??
The simple truth is it is NOT a gift card!” Rather there is an additional gift card fee tacked onto your order! This whole PROMOTION or whatever Sharper Image wants to call it begins with the promo SAVE20 marked down prices. Easy enough and you’d be a fool not to opt to get the mark down price by only having to click on the SAVE20. It’s stated that will automatically show on your receipt of order form. If this 20% saving is all you expect you’d be wrong because it included “free shipping”. Yippee right? Wrong.
This is what you see on your order form. At the very end of your receipt of purchase (for review) is a gift card charge of $15. or $25.00. Yup! You're buying a gift card. At least that’s how I see it. (Mine was $25.00). I believe these are based on your purchase amount? Now, follow me. You're getting the SAVE20 discount applied, you're getting free shipping. (With the cheapest shipping charge on anything being $14.95. No matter how small or light). Here’s what your purchase order form reads:

Confused yet??? Well, you're out of luck because there is no way to decline the gift card without paying for shipping AND EVEN WORSE NOT GETTING THE SAVE20 discount and paying full price!!! All these so called gift cards do is ensure Sharper Image that you're going to shop there again because you're stuck with a gift card that you paid for!! I still can’t get over that! And if you're thinking of just saving the “Gift Card” for future use you can NIX that idea too. They expire in 2 months!! Fed up with having to be a rocket scientist to make sure I’m not being taken for a fool!
