Sailun Tire Americas is recalling 84,351 Sailun, RoadX, Blacklion, Blackhawk, and Ironhead brand tires, sizes ST235/80R16 and ST235/85R16 with DOT codes 2020 through 4120.

The tires may experience a belt separation due to a manufacturing issue.

Belt separation could lead to loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

What to do

Sailun will replace the tires free of charge.

Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed in December 2021.

Cooper Tire recalls Evolution H/T 245/70R16 tires

Cooper Tire & Rubber is recalling 327 Evolution H/T 245/70R16 tires.

The tire identification number states the incorrect manufacture date of the tire. The correct code is 2317, and the recalled tires are incorrectly marked with 1723.

An incorrect manufacture date may cause the tire to be used beyond it's recommended service life, increasing the risk of tire failure and crash.

What to do

Cooper Tire will replace the tires, free of charge.

Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 1, 2021.

Cooper Tire recalls Hercules Roadtour 455 Sport 225/50R17 tires

Cooper Tire & Rubber is recalling 370 Hercules Roadtour 455 Sport 225/50R17 tires with DOT code 0721.

Due to a manufacturing issue, the tire may experience a belt separation.

Bridgestone recalls Dueler and Firestone Destination tires

Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations is recalling 21,513 of the following tires:

  • Firestone Destination LE3 tires in size 225/65R17 with DOT Tire Identification Number (TIN) Code 17X 2Y LE32 2821;
  • Bridgestone Dueler H/L 422 Ecopia tires in size P245/60R18 with DOT TIN Code 7X VD 423 2821;
  • Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza tires in size 275/55R20 with DOT TIN Code 7X Y1 DH7 2821;
  • Bridgestone Turanza EL440 tires in size 235/60R18 with DOT TIN Code 7X 45 JB2 2821; and
  • Bridgestone Ecopia H/L 422 Plus tires in size 235/55R20 with DOT TIN Code 7X 8A EC1 2821.

These tires may have been manufactured with a pinhole in the outboard side of the tire.

Tires containing a pinhole may slowly leak air, and the continued loss of air may increase the risk of a vehicle crash.

What to do

Bridgestone will notify owners and replace affected tires with a comparable Bridgestone or Firestone brand tire free of charge.

Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 17, 2021.

Hankook recalls Kinergy GT (H436) tires

Hankook Tire America is recalling 7,026 Kinergy GT (H436) tires, size 235/50R19H with DOT code 0521.

The tires may have been manufactured with an insufficient amount of curative agent, which could cause tread separation.

Tread separation can result in tire failure and a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

What to do

Dealers and authorized independent service centers will replace the affected tires free of charge.

Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 29, 2021.

Cooper recalls numerous tire models and brands

Cooper Tire & Rubber is recalling 430,298 Discoverer, Evolution, Courser, Deegan, Adventurer, Hercules, Back Country, Multi-Mile Wild Country and Big O brand tires.

The tires may develop a bulge or separation in the sidewall.

A sidewall separation may cause the tire to deflate rapidly, increasing the risk of a crash.

What to do

Cooper Tire will notify owners, and dealers will replace affected tires free of charge.

The recall is expected to begin March 25, 2021.

Continental Tire recalls Continental, General and Barum brand tires

Continental Tire the Americas is recalling 93,959 Continental, General, and Barum brand tires sold as original or replacement equipment.

The tires were cured for too long during production.

Over-cured tires may develop a break in the sidewall resulting in sudden air loss or a belt edge separation which could lead to a tread/belt loss.

Either condition can cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

What to do

Continental Tire will notify owners owners who purchased the tires as replacement equipment. Various vehicle manufacturers will conduct recalls for vehicles equipped with these tires at the time of purchase.

The tires will be inspected to verify that they are affected, and will be replaced -- as necessary -- free of charge.
