    I recently moved across the nation with these moving services, and I must tell, it changed everything! The group was really kind and competent. They took the time to learn about my requirements and showed up equipped with the necessary tools to help the relocation go as smoothly as possible. The way they treated my delicate possessions, including my collection of priceless vases and my delicate crystal chandelier, particularly pleased me. These things were handled with the utmost care and transported to my new house in excellent shape.

    They picked our stuff up close to a month ago. Since then they've provided 0 updates about where our things are. Their only response is "Keep in mind we said it could take up to 21 days from the first delivery date given." We haven't been asking for an ETA. Literally just asking where our stuff is. Customer support doesn't help.

    *****A Nightmare Experience: Severe Damage, Missing Deliveries, and Utter Disregard for Property***** My experience with Mover Van Lines has been nothing short of a nightmare. The damage inflicted upon my belongings and home during the move is appalling, and to make matters worse, I am still waiting for my full delivery with no estimated arrival date in sight. From the moment the movers arrived, it was clear that they had no regard for the condition of my belongings. Boxes, including new sterilite containers, were broken, and items labeled as fragile were mishandled, resulting in extensive damage.

    The dining table arrived cracked and scratched, despite assurances of proper protection during transport. Additionally, the baby crib was missing crucial screws, rendering it unusable. The disregard for the integrity of my possessions is utterly unacceptable. However, the disregard for the integrity of my possessions did not end there. When they removed the tape and wrap at the delivery, their reckless use of box cutters caused scratches on my furniture and screen monitors. This careless act further demonstrated their lack of professionalism and attention to detail.

    Furthermore, the movers showed a complete lack of respect for my home. They carelessly caused holes in my drywall, damaged the wooden post in the stairwell, and left marks on the walls with their dirty attire. Their attempt to clean the walls with a paper towel only made matters worse, leaving unsightly stains in the corridors. Their unprofessionalism was further evidenced by leaving trash from packing supplies throughout the house, and the presence of handprints and fingerprints everywhere was highly distressing. Also, to add during the move, belongings that did not belong to me were brought to my home.

    To compound my frustration, I am still awaiting the arrival of several missing boxes, and the company has been unable to provide me with any estimated delivery date. The lack of communication and resolution regarding this issue is deeply concerning and reflects poorly on the company's commitment to customer satisfaction. In summary, my experience with Mover Van Lines has been characterized by severe damage to my belongings, significant harm to my home, and an ongoing lack of resolution regarding the missing items. I strongly advise against using their services, as their negligence and disregard for customer property are simply unacceptable.

    It was a horrible experience. First salesman marked all the furniture as small even after given dimensions, said there's no charge for our multi-story house because the stairs was for flights of stairs for apartments which made his quote almost 4k more than which when you're a normal person that's a HUGE deal. Worse, the second salesman while correcting the size of things also did not tell us about the stairs fee which cost an extra $250. When called for an ETA for our belongings to come in we were told that we would get a call back in about an hour. 4 hours later, no call, we called back and found they got sidetracked so we wouldn't have been called. It's a real shame because they had "great reviews" and this was a miserable experience for us.

    Three movers showed up on time and did a fantastic job of dismantling and packing our furniture and other boxed home goods. They were very polite, professional, and skilled. They also did an amazing job at the time of delivery, where they re-assembled all the furniture, and placed all boxes in the correct rooms of our new home. I was surprised at how well they wrapped all the furniture, as there was not a single scratch on anything. We couldn't be happier with our experience with Mover Van Lines!

    I regret not posting this sooner, it might have saved people money. First, this company may be hired locally, but it also takes jobs brokered through big companies. Ours was "Modest Mover" out of a mailbox in Florida. They take ABSOLUTELY NO RESPONSIBILITY for damage, and heap the responsibility on the local mover, by the way. INSURANCE on your property IS USELESS unless you have time to document every item's condition prior to wrapping and after delivery. (See below).

    IF YOU CANNOT AFFORD A BIG MOVING COMPANY THAT INSURES ITS MOVES, THEN MOVE IT YOURSELF. THESE GUYS DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR STUFF. We were informed by the Florida broker that the items would be carried across country to secure storage in Charlotte, NC, implying that they, the broker, were doing the moving. In fact, MoverVanLines was hired to do the move. Our goods were unloaded in Las Vegas and left there for some time, then moved to Charlotte awaiting notice from us to deliver. The van line itself did not, in fact, deliver the goods from Charlotte to our storage facility, instead sending a third party mover to pick the items up and bring to the storage unit.

    The third party individual called us prior to delivery and told us that OUR GUN SAFE (carrying valuable antiques, among other things, but not firearms) and a tool chest had been removed from his shipment ON THE ROAD BY A TOW TRUCK and sent in a separate truck. He said he wanted us to remove the items from the safe. When he arrived at the storage facility, it took some time to sort out what was going on. He had SOME of our shipment in the truck. He said he had another truck that had our gun safe and tool cabinet in it.

    We were VERY distressed, not knowing whether this was a fraud or not. He arrived at 5 pm and had NO CREW. He said they quit because the items were too heavy. We are in our 70s, but had a younger friend who helped him unload. We might have sent him back to deliver the next day with a crew, but we were afraid that we would never see our stuff again. I WOULD LIKE TO NOTE THAT OUR HOUSEHOLD GOODS WERE NOT THE ONLY THINGS IN HIS TRUCK. He had somebody else's stuff to deliver as well.

    Regarding damage: It was apparent that our steel rolling carts had been shoved against a curb of some type as the wheels were COMPLETELY bent and buckled under the carts and had to be carried rather than rolled. This is the type of damage that is incurred maliciously, these are made of heavy steel. However, there are also indications that someone attempted to drill out the keyhole of one of the cabinets. This damage is irreversible and the cabinet cannot be locked. The other rolling cart's cabinet cannot be locked either. The warping of the door seems to have rendered the locking mechanism inoperable. Furniture had been dragged rather than lifted--the carpet-protecting plastic caps under the legs of the furniture had been scraped off, leaving scraped wood at the bottom of the legs.

    After the first truck brought by the third party mover was unloaded, the driver said he had to go back to pick up the other truck WHICH WAS AT HIS HOME. This took an hour. My husband and his friend followed the driver, not knowing if their services would be required, and, frankly, not sure he would actually deliver the safe. When they DID return, the safe and the toolbox were in the truck, along with the other HALF of our goods--and somebody else's stuff as well. This was an appalling handling of our belongings, scatterbrained and disorganized.

    We asked for $450 to cover the cost of replacement of one desk, taking a loss on the rest. We were advised to file an insurance claim. READ THE INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS BEFORE YOU ACCEPT ANY MOVER OF YOUR HOUSEHOLD GOODS. It is almost impossible to resolve a claim. We never received any satisfaction on this, and are still missing 4 boxes.

    When I began posting reviews, I was contacted by this company. They wanted to resolve my issues. But the same week I had a guy who restores wood look at my furniture. The loss was greater than I had estimated. I provided estimates consistent with a realistic cost. Now, no response. I appreciate that they reached out, but they're apparently unable or unwilling to go forward with their original intention to resolve. I regret this as we are both 71 and not able to do the heavy work necessary to restore ourselves, nor are we financially able to replace destroyed equipment.

    This was the absolutely the worst decision in my life to go with this company. The lack of communication and the destruction was way more than I expected. Beware of when they estimate. They will try to estimate 3x what you're actually moving. Also, if you have any problems. They do not do ANYTHING to help resolve. Only to take more money than what's needed to destroy your belongings. This company chose a moving company to:

    1. Overcharged me by $1500 in cubic foot. Literally none of the movers never once estimated the ACTUAL square footage.
    2. Broke my Tempo studio, 65" tv, wardrobe, bed stand and cat tree.
    3. The lack of protecting my stuff.
    4. Told me no tip was necessary but yet they asked for it.

    5. Never could get in contact with them during the moving process.

    Please, do yourself a favor and DO NOT buy their service. This is all but a money grab to help someone in need.

    The movers were courteous and professional. They handled all of my belongings with care. I had more stuff than I thought, and I'm glad I didn't try to do this move myself with a Uhaul!     DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Here is my experience:
    - The actual price was DOUBLE the quote. I couldn't back out due to having to move out.
    - They caused $2400 in damages to the house I was leaving and refused to pay for the damages.
    - They damaged just about every item I owned.
    - I paid an extra $80 for them to professionally pack a brand new 65" TV ($1100); I watched as it was NOT properly packed and when I told the mover, he ignored me. The TV was destroyed in the move due to poor packing. They offered $24.

    - I suffered over $8000 in damages; their 3rd party claim company ignored the facts and offered $400. When I tried to dispute the offer, they gave me a bogus e-mail address. No one from the company responded to multiple requests.

    I've used many movers over the years, this is BY FAR the VERY WORST. Do not use them!!

    I have relocated for work several times in the past 12 years for work. Usually I may have maybe a glass or two broken but typically the full service relocation does a really good job. I was living in Las Vegas with a job relocation to Tucson, Arizona for work. Trying to get a moving date was where it all started, they give you a date range and cannot commit to dates and times. Once we finally locked down a date, we have 4 movers come to do the full packing services. Since we had so many, we could not supervise every moving specialist. I wish we would have, several of items 4 months later were damaged.

    Our wall decor was not even wrapped, so many of my custom pieces are damaged. Every piece of furniture we received had some sort of damage. We also had several boxes that had everything but the kitchen sink, unwrapped. So bedroom, hall closet, and home office could end up in the same box making unpacking incredibly difficult and overwhelming. We also never received our garage ladder, and the screws for our patio sofa never made it. When you call customer service, they basically tell you to call a claims number and that they do not provide coverage replacement on damaged items, they will only provide you the required DOT based on 60 cents per load weight. So if you have a 5,000 sofa that you care a lot about, like we did - expect it to come damaged and no care from customer service on the other side to have any sort of empathy.

    Calling to get furniture delivered is also a challenge. For example, we knew our scheduled closing date for our new home a month ahead of time. They will not provide you an actual move date until the week of the move and their contract tells you they will have up to 30 days from first date of availability depending on where the delivery is located. In our case, they had up to 14 days. We had 2 moving specialist arrive at our house for a 2600 sq ft house. They basically told us that if we wanted them to put the furniture together that they took apart, that we had to unwrap it all it. So my husband and I, rather than getting boxes open to get settled, were asked to do their job. They also will kind of put your furniture back together. We had 2 entry way furniture pieces that were not put back together, even though screws were included.

    The entire experience was not worth it, they also charge the same as other carriers who will do a much better job so we were not saving money by using them. They also damaged our wood floors bringing the safe to our master closet. They did nothing to protect the floors or walls and did drag furniture. I would not recommend this company and in fact would strongly encourage no one to use this company. If you call customer service, expect them to be rude and you will hold for 45 minutes. I should also point out that they expect a money order, they will not even take a cashiers check which serves the same purpose so it will cost you money and inconvenience for final payment. Oh, they will accept cash....hummm, a little shady. So you basically are giving them money to damage your house and all of your personal belongings. Sound fair? As you are seeking moving companies, DO NOT CALL this call company, move onto the next.

    I’ve always moved myself but was tired of the hassle so I was referred to these movers by my girlfriend who had just used them with a great experience. David gave me a prompt quote and answered all of my questions relating to details and specifics. He was super helpful to get everything set up. Moving day they arrived early and got everything organized and ready to go super fast.

    They were also upfront with any additional charges for wardrobe boxes, TV packing, etc. no surprises! They took good care of all pieces of furniture and were mindful of both buildings to not do any damage. Richard, Amir, and Chris were super personable and friendly. Would highly recommend to friends or family in the area.

    If I could give this company a minus rating I certainly would! From not bringing enough manpower, moving boxes, or an appropriate sized van. Their account specialist, Amanda, was useless in answering our many questions or responding in a timely manner. A custom made table base was left at the side of the house by the movers, hidden by the dark when we did the final walk through. This wasn’t noticed until the next day when our realtor informed us long after the movers left town. MVL promised they would pick it up in the next “few days” and deliver it from Tucson to the van in Phoenix, with its final destination to NH. Nine months later it is still stored in my old neighbors garage, and we will have to pay a driver to haul it to our new home. Trying to contact a supervisor proved impossible, as she never returned our calls.

    Regarding the state of our belongings, much of the furniture was severely scratched, gouged or irreparably damaged. Many glass items were broken (due to being improperly packed) and we actually received 2 items that were not ours. Most boxes did not have a number to help in figuring out if things were missing. Worst of all, after submitting a claim for several thousand dollars to cover the damaged articles, we were offered $200 as as a show of “good will”. We could go on and on, but you get the idea… This company is a complete disaster; learn from our mistake and walk away from them. Better yet, run!
