    I signed a contract with them and they scheduled me a date. They said they have a dispatcher and it's another moving company in California. They sent their moving team to our place and picked our stuff up. But Lady Liberty's assistance was not good enough. They barely kept in touch after signing the contract. Also, their dispatcher was not responsible enough and I'm not satisfied with the moving process.

    The dispatcher did not get me information. Also, when Lady Liberty gave me the number for the dispatcher, they gave me the dispatcher’s private number. When I called, they were kinda mad and said, “Why did they give you my private number?” and asked me to call the company number later. I felt lost in the process. The pickup team was quite professional while the delivery team was really irresponsible. They had me scheduled an initial day for delivery but they didn't let us know when they were meeting delays. I called them continuously and they did not even respond. I just called the team leader who helped me contact the delivery team.

    Everything was fine with our experience with Lady Liberty, except during the moving process. We had reserved a specific amount of boxes. Even though we had less than what we reserved, we still had to pay extra for the space.

    They were able to line me up with a fulfilling company pretty quickly. But I had some issues with that company. They said they would be there at a certain time. Instead, they came two days later which ended up causing some issues with me and my job that I was moving up to take. And then when they moved the stuff up to the location, they were late dropping it off at the new apartment by a day. Plus, they dropped a bunch of my stuff from the truck. I was like, "** There goes the washing machine. Come on."

    The truck wasn't waterproof so a bunch of my stuff was wet driving through the rain. Furniture was unloaded wet. Also, they charged me $3,500 despite the binding estimate being 1,500. But I get the whole rub. They hit me with a low estimate and then whenever the fulfilling company gets the move, they find whatever way to make whatever money they can. I ended up paying $3,500 before tips. Also, the guys that helped me unload weren't the mover's employees. They were just random people. It was an extremely strange experience. The logistical hub that Liberty has going on is a very fast-moving and efficient process but I don't think the vetting has been done for the subcontractor. I would contact a company that has their own fulfilling company rather than a logistical hub that fulfills through separate subcontractors.

    Mr. Brian, we give our customers a 2-day pick-up window for a reason. We are in the business of dealing with machinery (trucks, vans, etc) so delays are never wished upon but expected. In our industry, we rely a lot on team work and servicing our customers together. Therefore, it is common for a lot of companies to have a different carrier execute a move while the company still facilitates the process.

    We provided an "estimate" based on a list of items that was given to our highly-qualified sale representatives. The carrier that is there physically can do a better estimate of the items including any overages and additional items. If by any means, there are items broken/damaged our company will guide you through the "filing a claim" process. Do not hesitate to contact us with any future concerns!

    There were a couple of delays and it took a long time between pickup and delivery of my furniture to my location. I thought it would take a week but it ended up taking two extra weeks. That was really stressful. Also, payment is really odd not being able to use a credit card. Only being able to use a credit card for a deposit could be expressed upfront in the process. They only wanted cash or Zelle.

    Other than that, everybody we dealt with was very nice. Also, the price was very good. Lady Liberty is a very good option. But understand that you have a long time in between the pickup of your furniture and the delivery. So, have plans B, C, and D prepared so that you're not sleeping on the floor or on blankets. Also, have a really good idea of how many items you need to move because we had to pay extra on-site because they said that the truck was full. Even though we had itemized the items, when the truck is full, they will still charge you extra.

    I talked to someone at Lady Liberty on the phone and gave a detailed description of what I was moving so they could calculate the cubic volume. They came. The only thing that was confusing was they said to give them a check when they left the apartment, and then to give them cash when they got to the house. There was some confusion about that, but it worked out. The movers were excellent. They did a good job. They really knew what they were doing, and they packed everything very well. Nothing got broken. They were very fast, too. There were three men, and they were working so quickly that I wasn’t aware of everything that was going on. When I went into the bedroom, the bedroom was already set up. They were very professional.

The reason we take only money order or cash is because we have to have effective payment as services are being rendered.     Lady Liberty Moving was helpful, professional and communicated well. Pick-up was easy. Delivery became an issue because we had arranged to be moved on the 4th because that was when I was supposed to be at the house to greet them and bring the furniture. But they ended up delivering on the 10th. When the delivery time came, one of the drivers could not get on base because he had no identification. They had to drop him off somewhere before they got on the base. When he came on base, it was just me and the driver downloading all the furniture. He left a lot of packing materials behind and just took off. It was a bit messy. I had also mentioned that I needed the weight tickets before the truck was loaded and after the truck was loaded, and I have yet to receive the ticket before it was loaded. I've been trying to get ahold of it for almost a month now. But it ended up being a decent experience. They did a good job, overall.
