Hello I'm Jay **, here to inform everyone that this is the best moving company in the USA. America First Moving is definitely the moving company you want to help you move. They have the best rates I have seen so far. Their company guys were on time, polite, and professional. I didn't have to worry about missing or broken household items everything was a smooth moving. They also put together my home furniture without extra charges unlike some other moving companies that try to bamboozle you out your money. I definitely recommend giving America first moving a call if you're looking to move fast, reasonable, and professional. I have told all my friends and family about this company and they are looking into it to book for there next move. I appreciate all the help and patience I received from this company. They are definitely 1# in my books and should be in your also!!! Soo what are you waiting for call and book!!

The packing team was amazing, careful, organized and incredible to watch. The moving team was fast, efficient, helpful and great to work with. Their estimate was reasonable and all of their work was top notch. The team arrived with the moving van and they were excellent in handling my possessions. They were professional and knew what they were doing. The loading was difficult as there were flights of stairs involved. It was amazing to see how well they handled everything and the way they loaded the moving van.

America First Moving made my move easy and hassle free. That's important! IT wasn't "cheap", but worth the cost. Jeff helped me every step of the way and made sure I understood the whole procedure. Moving from Florida to North Carolina was daunting....I had a lot of stuff. The moving guys did all the hard work and everything arrive...a day late and unharmed...but, again fully worth the effort. And the guys kept me apprised every step of the way.

Reservation was really easy to book and I only gave them 1.5 weeks notice and they didn't mind at all. They called to reconfirm the day before a couple of times, since I was packing and didn't hear the phone. I'm glad they did make this extra effort or it might have slipped my mind, with all the details. The guys were a little later than their estimated arrival time, but they didn't charge me for their lateness. They were super courteous and moved everything in just 2 hours. Barely any scuffs or breakage, and that kind of thing can happen even if you're getting help from your friends. I barely had to lift a finger to do anything. They were like a machine!

America First did a really great job for us and were super capable. I'd definitely recommend getting a quote from them before hiring anyone else. They were right on time, super nice, really quick, and took all the stress away for us. We'd moved a few times before without any help and we'll never do that again. Between the thrown out backs and damage to the walls and furniture I think it probably cost us more to do it ourselves lol. 5 stars all day and thanks again!

I had a nice move with the help of America First moving. They handled my furniture and stuff with care and gentleness. Mark was great and kept in touch every step of the way. The team kept me apprised throughout the whole process. They packed quickly and gently (who knew big guys could most things around that gently?) I did have a bit of confusion about timing...but other than that, everything went well. I would absolutely recommend America First to anyone who is looking for a fair price and people that care.

The young man, Alex, was very helpful in scheduling my mother's move. Answered all of our questions succinctly. Hopefully, the actual move proceeds as smoothly.

Heads up that their cancellation policy is minus 11% +$1 per cf NO MATTER when you cancel. I was pressured to sign a contract on the phone even though I said I was just trying to get quotes, and misread the cancellation policy while trying to quickly sign forms. After realizing I did not want to go through with the service, I tried to cancel (less than 48 hours later). It took hours of phone calls and I only got 60% of my money back. I recommend only calling this company if you feel confident that you want to go with their services as they will apply pressure and gloss over this non-standard cancellation policy. Yes, I should have more carefully read the policy, but given the high-pressure circumstances that I’m sure others will also experience, I hope this note helps someone else avoid my fate. Moving is already a stressful time and this company has made it more stressful.

One of their reps, Marcus, contacted me. We had a great call where I outlined all my needs. And for a shorter (800-mile) move of 350 cubic feet of belongings in an apartment 24 steps from street to stairs, with pickup by a reputable carrier (4.37 on BBB), he quoted me $1775. I asked him to send a binding estimate and to let me know the different cost levels in addition for Full Value Protection. Over the course of several days, he continued to respond but without giving me anything in writing. I also received a series of generic reminder emails.

Interface with AFM was positive, and relatively complete. My interface rep (Nick) was open and friendly, and very thorough in his explanation of moving services. After an agreement was reached on final pricing, additional interaction was very satisfying. I'll know more about the entire process once the moving day arrives.

I hired AF because I thought they were the movers. They are brokers who farmed my job off on Mirit American Movers whose bare competence strains the imagination. I had a verbal agreement to have my move arrive on a given date. That date passed and I tried to find out why only to be told my date was the “start of a 10 day window.” I signed with AF BECAUSE they said they would be at my destination no later that 3 days after my delivery date. I realized my only move was to ask them “where is my property and what is an estate for arrival?”

Never again would I hire a moving broker. High pressure sale and a moving quote cost from $4800 final cost to the final final cost of over $10,000 for a 45 mile one day move from one town to another within state. I was robbed.

I scheduled my move for early July with AFM in mid-June and was instructed to wait for my quality assurance call 2-3 days before my move. Because of the holiday, I called on the Friday before my Monday move to ensure everything was still in place for the move. I was assured that I would receive my QA call by Sunday afternoon. I still had not received the call by 3:00pm, so I reached out to the coordinator who I originally scheduled my move with. He was able to ensure my call was scheduled.

Updated on 07/21/2026: This company contacted me after I submitted my last review, asking me what can they do to make things right. I told them to stop using 3rd party companies, and I want to be reimbursed for the shipping I paid for the kind person who shipped me my item that were mixed with her items. They are supposedly going to only give me $300 as a Good Faith Gesture. Then he (Jack) gave my info to their Claims Dept. They want me to make a full list of all that has been damaged. I really do NOT have high hopes for this to all be resolved, but I will go thru the motions and see what happens.

Don’t even want to give this place one star! They totally took advantage of me and my disabled son. He had used his Go fund me money to help us get him home from SC so I can take care of him as he has suffered 2 strokes and is terminal! They quoted me a price then deliberately left out half the inventory I had and charged me an additional 3000 dollars then left a lot of stuff there as their truck was full. They strapped my son’s mattresses to the back of a truck! I then had to rent a U-Haul to get the rest of our things and have my sister fly down to drive it back. After a week of living in a hotel with my son in a wheelchair the truck is finally coming.

Scammers! I hired them for a moving job. They subcontracted it to a third party, who charged me an extra $2,500, and I had to be on the phone for hours when they came to pick up my stuff. The contract I signed with them has no bearing on the third party; they have their own estimates and charges. I had to agree to pay extra, they wouldn't deliver my stuff. Almost felt like blackmail. I tried many moving companies in the past, but never had such a bad experience.

I did not have a good experience. I signed up for moving services, then cancelled a few hours later. I did not read the agreement (which stated that I would have to pay a cancellation fee of roughly $700 to cancel), but the representative stated on the phone, “don’t worry, we are not in the business of charging you for services not rendered.” When I cancelled, they transferred me to a self described former law enforcement officer with what I experienced as a very threatening tone. I ended up out $700 dollars even though I cancelled within hours (so clearly they didn't mobilize any resources that would have cost them money). I would recommend that you avoid at all costs and find a local/direct mover.

America First Moving Company will say one thing and do another. I hope that America knows and stays away from that company. They're making it like it's a moving company, but it's a broker. America First Moving will agree with you on terms, at the beginning, but will break this agreement later.

This company sucks. Scammed me out of 1600.00. Upped my quote on the morning of the move from 3900.00 to 9000.00 with no refund for deposit of 2300. After I cried they gave me a deal of 5500. Did not keep my items for 30 days as promised. 18 days early "We are on our way." They stole so many items including sentimental things, large furniture and my firearm. Pretty much everything else was broken. Disgusting

I contacted America First Moving for my family's commute from Louisiana to Houston and I remember being so worried about my mirrors and fine china. This company made sure everything arrived perfectly fine. I was more than satisfied with my decision. I definitely would recommend these movers to my family and friends. Great job you guys.

I, similar to others, have decided not to go with this company due to the rudeness I faced. The call started very professional and I was very happy with the price and detailed account the representative was providing. However, I am married and I refuse to make a solid decision when it comes to financials due to financial issues being a high cause of divorces. When the representative was told that I would call back in a few hours, so same day, after I talked to my husband about it, he proceeded to mock our trust system and said "so you don't trust each others judgement" while LAUGHING and hung up on me. If you are 100% set on this company prior to calling for a quote then I am sure this company is for you, but if you expect respect and hospitality and kindness run far far away.

Hi, my name is Manav **. I am writing this email to try to receive some sort of compensation for this predatory moving. When we received our quote from Evan where it was originally 1800 and we would get our moving products the day we scheduled for we were not alerted about anything in the contract and in fact it was so predatory to where he said, "Sign, sign, sign. We will do all the hard work and make sure your moving will get to Chicago on May 21th." When we called customer service they kept saying "Oops. Should've looked at the contract." Not only are we paying double for our move, but now we may not receive our products on our scheduled day, this is ridiculous. What is the point of having a scheduled day to move if your movers aren't going to be there. This sort of predatory marketing where your sales rep did not alert us to anything such as important things in the contract or the possibility of extra fees is ridiculous.

I’ve had previous experiences where my belongings were not taken care of properly and I can say with this company, all my belongings were in the same way they were before loaded. I would definitely recommend this company to all my family and friends who need help moving. With the timeframe given, normally you wouldn’t expect it to be done is such a timely fashion. They finished before the timeframe. I’ve seen the reviews before deciding with this company, all experiences won’t be the same but I can speak for mine. They took care of the pieces taken off the truck, tape was placed in one spot with the covers were folded up to take out. You can tell they had experience and it wasn’t their first time.
