Working with John Robert Powers has completely transformed our lives. My family and I support my son’s dream of becoming a model, so when this opportunity with JRP came, we took it. I thought modeling meant just walking down a runway, but I was mistaken. I quickly realized how out of my league I was on my first rehearsal with JRP. I didn’t even know the basics! My name is Makayla, I am 21 years old, and I am from Michigan. One day in October of 2018 I was in my car when I heard an ad on the radio for auditions for John Robert Powers Acting and Modeling. I called the number that was provided and spoke with someone about scheduling an audition. Three days later, my mother and I drove an hour to the hotel where the auditions were being held. The auditions for my group were supposed to start at 12:30 and I will admit they didn't start until a little after 1--but I am patient and wasn't bothered by it (just nervous I had to wait a little bit longer).

JRP keeps me on my toes. I thought I was a good actress before JRP, but they quickly made me see that I can always keep on improving. Now I am always fully-booked, and I have my pick of projects. I know I wouldn’t be who I am today without their steady guidance.

Being an artist is difficult, especially if you don't know anyone in the industry. Thankfully, I enrolled in JRP's courses, and I learned a lot about the industry's in’s and out’s. I also participated in their auditions, and I got to meet a lot of interesting people.

I used to cry on cue, but JRP taught me how to weep with real emotions. That was a constant criticism I heard from my previous auditions. I never understood how my tears were "emotionless," with JRP, they not only taught me to act better, but they also taught me how to use my emotions to perfect my craft.

JRP instructors are very different from the rest. They don't get tired of explaining concepts even when I seem slow on the uptake, and they taught me that practice does make things perfect. I am now a better actress, and I can wow any panel of judges thanks to my JRP education.

They never promised that they’ll give my daughter a job, but they did promise to make her great at modeling. That’s what happened. My Tiana can apply makeup expertly, fluff her hair, and strut as if the street is her catwalk. She also received a few jobs pretty quickly, and I am really glad that I took the risk with JRP.

One of the good things about JRP is how transparent they are. My coach says that we have to constantly improve ourselves if we want to be good at what we do, and that's what they did to us. Before JRP I was really shy, and I couldn’t perform well, but now, I can wow any crowd with my energy. If acting doesn’t work out for me, then I Now have the tools to be anything I want to be, even a public speaker!

Investing in JRP is one of the best decisions I have ever made. They are very nice and very professional. My coaches really focused on helping me get over my shyness so that I can perform well. They were upfront that they are preparing me for acting and there is no guarantee of a job after the workshops, but they paid off because I landed my first casting after my with them.

There were Fashion Commercial Print workshops, and our coaches taught us how to pose and to maximize our assets so that our flaws are less visible. I also had bad posture from when I was growing up, and JRP also corrected that so I can walk straight on the catwalk. Definitely money well-spent.

You can learn a lot about modelling by watching YouTube, but the workshops given by John Robert Powers really helped me to become a professional model. I learned how to do my makeup and hair, so you are prepared anytime. This is a great academy if you are serious about wanting to become a star.

Megan was great, she was able to answer all of my questions and concerns and made me feel very comfortable. She responded to me quickly and made me feel like I was not alone through this tough time I'm going through.

I first contacted John Robert Powers because I thought they could help get auditions for my daughter. However, I realized that it is more than that. They teach you how to successfully go through an audition so you don’t make a mess out of your auditions. Through their help, my daughter has successfully scored two modeling gigs, and a small role in a local show.

If you want a life of sequins and glitter, then enroll your child in John Robert Powers. I had timid 10-year-old twins who did not want to go to summer camp or sports camp. So, I enrolled them here. They loved their workshops and are looking forward to doing more at JRP.

I first signed up my 13-year-old with JRP to help her get over her stage fright. I didn’t expect her to love acting, but she surely took to it quickly! She grew so much; she joined the drama club at school and is now a little diva. She now stars in school plays thanks to JRP.
