I used to subscribe to BHG and was looking forward to every issue. For years. Then they changed an editor in chief. And it all went downhill. The magazine became just a collection of ad with 3-4 pages of actual text. I suppose it is a nod to the younger generation of readers who don’t read anymore. But they don’t read BHG either. They are in TikTok and IG. They just sent me an Xmas issue as a freebie. I looked through it and I see that it got only worse. Now the ads are even more, but the only actual BGH content is 3-4 pages of repetitive pictures of the same candles or decorations in Xmas flavor. Junk! Pure junk! And so many trees are killed for this useless magazine that nobody reads!

I bought a bathroom fixture at Walmart and it was missing a part. I called Home & Garden who said the part would be shipped the next day. Three months later, I still have not received the part and when I called again, a recording said I was eligible for a $100 Walmart gift card but there would be a small processing fee. Are they seriously working with scam companies now? So I may be out around $33 for an unusable bathroom fixture but H&G will be out much more in the long run as I will not do business with this company again.

We've experienced the exact same scenario as, "William in Matteson, IL Reviewed Dec. 12, 2021" see below. But our issue is three years later now, Oct 17, 2024 & involves four cube units, (2) 4-cube & (2) 6-cube, all "Tobacco Oak" finish per Better Homes & Gardens" model listings & pictures, all shown on Walmart's website. Unfortunately, the two 4-cube "Tobacco Oak" cube units & the two 6-cube "Tobacco Oak" units, all ordered at the same time, from the same online Walmart site, are DIFFERENT COLOR FINISHES & do NOT MATCH.

I got a notice In the mail from Better Home and Gardens that I could get 2 free subscriptions for a gift for 2 people. I ordered it. It's been 3 months and my aunt and mother-in-law still hasn't gotten there. Subscriptions, I've called customer service twice and got nowhere. Just they want to pass the book I'm through dealing with them. I won't be resubscribing, and I wouldn't Advise getting the 2 free subscriptions that you never get. Thanks better home and gardens for nothing.

I buy a lot of wax melts for my wax warmer. I like my house to smell good. Since about Christmas 23, I have noticed BH&G wax melts are losing their scent when in the warmer for a couple hours. They use to last for days. I emailed BH&G and their response was, "We don't make them anymore..Someone else makes the product for us." If a company is going to put their name on a product and sell it under that name, they need to back the product. All I want are wax scents that hold their smell longer than an hour.

Better Homes & Gardens failed me twice when I ordered the same furniture there. I wasted two months waiting for their response and every time they referred to system failure. Worst service and awful customer support. Don't do business with them!

I purchased the Summer 2022 Cottage Style edition of BHG magazine and found it to be a clone of Summer 2021. There is a small label on the front stating "Back by popular demand, Summer 2021 edition". I did not notice this as I just grabbed the latest issue and tossed it into my shopping cart. I do not have time to look at each magazine I buy in the store, I trust it is a new issue. I paid for last summer's magazine and do not want the same one yet now I have two. This is a rip off. I won't be buying any more BHG magazines.

I purchased a Better Homes and Gardens 8 Cube Organizer Storage from Walmart. I looked at the picture on the box which indicated that the it was a dark brown wood color. When I opened up the box, the color was a dark gray. So I took it back to Walmart to exchange it for the lighter brown wood (natural finish). The picture on the box was a light brown. When I got it home and opened the second box, the color was a light gray wood color. Frustrated and needing the shelf, I decided not to go back to Walmart for a refund.

4 piece "Outdoor plastic wicker furniture set" made by Universal, the wicker fell off in pieces, even though furniture was not exposed to sunlight or the elements. It was not used in a spare room. 369$ now worth 0$, purchased at Walmart.

I bought a Better Homes and Gardens garbage can for my kitchen. It advertised as fingerprint resistance.. It is not fingerprint resistance. I have kids and they touch everything and this garbage can is no different than the old one. Fingerprints all over it. Very disappointed. Paid 50$ for this and it's not as described..
