Pros
  • Tick and mosquito protection
  • Exterior home cleaning services
  • Gutter cleaning services

Cons
  • Only available in 13 states

How Ned’s Home works

Ned's Home provides a selection of outdoor home services. While it specializes in gutter cleaning, it also offers a variety of other outdoor treatments like pest control, home exterior cleaning, underground drain snaking, dryer vent cleaning, chimney cap installation and ice damming.

At this time, the company website provides limited information about the service plan's frequency and price, and we had difficulty reaching a customer service representative to learn more.

Ned's Home pest control

Ned’s pest control division focuses on tackling only mosquito and tick control for Maryland, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and Virginia. It offers both conventional and 100% organic treatments through barrier protection, and you can sign up for one-off or year-round treatment plans.

Ned’s Home gutter services

Ned's Home offers gutter installation, cleaning, repair and replacement. It also sells gutter guards, seamless gutters and a gutter protection plan called Ned Stevens Gutter Protection.

The protection plan will repair or replace your gutters if they are damaged after you start your contract. It’s important to note that the gutter plan only covers gutters installed by Ned’s Home. When you get gutters installed, Ned’s Home guarantees all materials for 20 years and workmanship for one year.

Ned’s Home exterior home cleaning

Its exterior cleaning services include deck, fence, roof, siding, walkway and window cleanings. The company features “softwash” technology, which it claims is less damaging than pressure washing and has a “100% kill ratio on bacteria.” It also offers power washing services, which are supposed to kill more bacteria and fungi than pressure washing.

Other services from Ned’s Home

In addition to gutter work, exterior cleaning and pest control, the company also offers:

  • Underground drain snaking
  • Dryer vent cleaning
  • Chimney cap installation
  • Lawn treatment
  • Ice damming removal

How to get services from Ned's Home

You can book pest control services online or by calling the company directly. Appointments can be easily scheduled and managed online. You will need to set up an account with the company to book through the website. To set up your account, you’ll provide the information below:

  • Contact information
  • Home address
  • Other home information, including square footage and roof material

Ned's Home costs

Ned's Home doesn’t share its prices online, so you must contact the company directly for more information. ConsumerAffairs researchers found that gutter cleaning services start at $139.

According to the company website, customers who sign up for full-season pest treatments receive discounted pricing, but it’s unclear what the discount amount is. It’s worth noting that it’s not unusual for companies to offer discounts on repeat services because the technicians don’t have to do as much work (i.e., they don’t have to start from scratch each time).

These people are predators. We used them ONCE for gutter cleaning and power washing. They asked at the time if we wanted a recurring service, and we said NO. Now we keep getting emails every 6 months saying that we have an appointment scheduled for recurring service. Every time we call to cancel and tell them we didn't sign up for this service, they lie and say that we called to schedule the service. DO NOT work with this company. You will never get rid of them.

Ned's Home sends out untrained crews who irresponsibly damage your home, all while leaving a positive report hanging on your door. We have been loyal customers for over twenty years. I received an email, April 9, 2026, that Julian and his crew would be arriving. Julian and his crew put up their ladders and quickly ran up our roof, jumping to the point we thought they would fall in. Water started pouring in our kitchen from the top of the cathedral ceiling, down the ceiling fan and onto the floor. We ran outside to let Julian know what was happening. He totally disregarded our concerns and loaded up his truck and left.

We promptly called the company office, informing Olivia of the damage. She sent Leo, the manager, to come and take a look. He showed me a picture of a cracked roof shingle and said that water just leaked in. Shouldn't Julian have stopped pouring water on our roof If such damage existed prior to his service? Leo said the leak was not his responsibility because they cracked the tile on the roof . We now have a $1200.00 Proposal to repair our kitchen ceiling. This company will never take responsibility for their untrained crew. If you value your home do not contract this company.

Hunter and his team did a superb clean gutter repair at my house. It was a small gutter repair job due to the extreme wind. Hunter was very friendly and he explained what he was doing. He answered all my questions.

I used them last Spring. They showed up without notice last Fall just after my gutters were replaced. That’s the thing they just show up. They are like a boomerang. You can’t get rid of them. I told them I did not need gutters cleaning for obvious reason and that I will contact them. The manager was pushy, acting like a bully telling me they also do dryer duct cleaning and everyone needs that. Being that pushy and bully made me go the opposite way. He became rude and I told him again I will let them know if I needed service.

I never contacted them and I had my gutters cleaned by a local independent company. Two weeks ago, they came without notice and sent me an email that my cc needed to be updated and I owed them over 185.00. I did not have time to breathe that they called me. I complained about the fact that they came without me asking them to come and that I will pay the bill but I wanted my account to be closed and never hear from them again. They processed the payment but never sent me an email to notify me, as I requested, that my account was now closed. I had to call again and I did get an email confirming it. Yesterday I received a bill by mail for the amount I have already paid two weeks ago and this morning an email to tell me I have an outstanding bill. Thinking about contacting the attorney general office for the state of Maryland. This is harassment now. Do not ever use that company nasty, bully and totally unprofessional.

We have had an account since Gutterman sold its operations to Ned’s Home. For a while, the service was reliable and the work reasonably good. However, in mid-November your crew showed up unannounced a month earlier than our oak leaves would be down. (Had they called before coming they would have been told to wait.) We were billed for the service. The oak leaves fell until mid-December.

Since then, we have called numerous times to remind your staff that the cleaning had to be completed. We were assured each time that that a crew would be out in the next few days and the work completed at no cost under Ned’s “guarantee.” Based on those assurances, we agreed to (and prepaid for) your so-called “Gold Plan” covering three cleanings in 2026.

The work has yet to be done and we are tired of calling. Complaints registered by others with the Better Business Bureau suggest that problems of this nature are common. Simply put … we want the fall service to be completed. We also want a refund of the monies paid for the 2026 “Gold Plan” since we are not prepared to proceed with Ned’s Home’s poor service under these circumstances. Your prompt attention to this situation would be appreciated.

Poor service all along. We informed them we were selling our home. Yet after selling our home they call to schedule fall cleanout, we informed them again that we no longer own that home. Today I received an inspection report and a bill. Someone is playing games, stay away from this service.

The gutter cleaning was great, timely and clean up was good but the tick and mosquito spraying not so good and costly. I paid 69.47 every month for the past 3 months, which I had no idea that was the charge. Now, they are wanting more even though I canceled the service. In 3 months, I have paid them over 500.00 to clean gutters and spray gutters, was 145.47 every month 3 months, would not recommend this company. They said one thing and do another on cost.

The worst company I have ever used. I have recently replaced all of my windows. 2 years ago I had a new roof put on. I like to keep up with my house. I decided to replace my gutters. The other ones were 40 years old. Never leaked, never had a drop of water Come in my house. After they installed my new gutters. I now have water coming in UP under my roof and into my kitchen ceiling and leaking on my countertops. I've had the same Incapable people come back several times they have no idea what they're doing. There's no real carpenters involved. They just slap gutters on. Worst contractors I have ever used. Do not use Ned Stevens for any reason.

They refuse to schedule on a regular day or time, and instead randomly send a text saying they're on their way - which consistently arrives *after* they are already here. And because they cannot seem to figure out how to set up a regular schedule, I can't set up a regular payment structure. All they care about is trying to get more money from you. Every single time they come they leave a door hanger saying the found a problem. After having them "fix" 2 problems (at high cost) they still left me a door hanger every time. I learned my lesson. Then they got bought out by *Private Equity* and started buying all kinds of service businesses, which they now spend all their time trying to sell me. Constantly. Leaving me stuff in my mailbox, mailing me stuff, and on every call I've ever had to make.

At the beginning of 2025, the payment link they send me via email stopped working. After 2 missed payments, I got a physical letter threatening to send me to collections (I've been a customer for 5 years). At that point I simply had had it and decided to cancel my service. When I called to pay my final bills and to cancel, the man I spoke to - instead of allowing me to pay - started in on all the awards they've won and how great they are. When I told him I didn't care and I wanted to pay and cancel, he started his spiel over again. So I just started chanting "I don't care. I don't care. I don't care..." and then he threatened not to help me. I had to point out that he was refusing to take my payment and make it clear that I was willing to go to the BBB. At that, he finally accepted my payment and agreed to cancel my account.

Then this man called me back 5 minutes after I hung up, and again when I didn't answer. Finally left a voicemail saying he'd spoken to his manager, and they would refund my final payment if I didn't leave any bad reviews. These guys are criminals, destroying local businesses and scamming you for services you don't need. Do not use this company!
