I purchased a Huskee 500 Series push mower two years ago. I bought the extended warranty. We just replaced it for the 7th time and this one has to be taken back, also. Once you stop mowing to take a break, refuel, etc., it won't keep running. It has the same problem each time. As soon as the warranty is over, I will never buy another Huskee. It is a worthless product.

I'm totally in disbelief that the people who make Huskee tractor batteries are too stupid to put the Voltage on the battery. Am I supposed to psychically tunnel that information? 6 Volts? 12 Volts? 24 Volts? Should I consult the Tarot cards? That's pretty slack guys... and 1st semeter circuit theory at that.

Well, it seems to me that the 23hp mowers are the ones that are giving everyone problems, Huskee mowers that is. Let me tell you about my 16.5hp 42in cut that I purchased back in 1996. Well, I had some trouble with the mower cutting off on me time and time again. So what I did was I took the carburetor apart, clipped the tip off the little pin that moves up and down to allow the fuel to enter the carburetor and the mower has been running like new and it's 13 years old now. I have never changed not one belt or pulley, not even the blades, just the filters which is normal. My mower sat in bad weather for quite some time and the rust locked it down so bad that a new battery couldn't roll it over. After sanding down a few crucial parts of the engine, it started right up after sitting in bad weather for two years and it's still cutting like a champ. I don't know what's going on with the Huskees of today but I can tell you that my Huskee has never given me any bad serious problems. I guess I must have bought a good one.

I purchased a huskee lawn tractor from my grandfather. The mower was made in 2002, has a 42 deck, and a 17.5 hp engine. The mower is a horrible piece of junk. The carburetor always has junk in it and I've had to clean it 14 times now. I always take pristine care of all of my belongings, i even wax the outside! One day of regular mowing, one of the blade spindles broke. Took it to the local repair man and they replaced it. They also said that the carburetor has gunk in it. I had to pay 200$ for parts and labor. (keep in mind I'm 13 years old) I know this mower isn't supposed to be used for 12 yards in a week, but they should build a better product than this. Overall, don't buy a hUskee lawnmower ever!!!!!!!

I bought a Huskee tiller 5 hp the problem with it is the gas tank split in two along the seam and straight up the side and this is the second one Iv'e had to replace at $40.00 this part should not be made of plastic because it can't take the pressure from the gas expanding from the heat definatly a bad design and of course the warrenty ran out after 9o day's.

I purchased a Huskee riding lawnmower in June 2008 and an extend at home service plan since I was departing to Afghanistan. My wife has had nothing but problems with this mower. The muffler is missing, it will not run or engage. There is no local service providers as promised and she gets no cooperation from store reps.

In 2004 I bought a 23 hp Huskee Supreme, 46 cut. I have hated this mower ever since I used it the first time. Nothing but problems. I have put new drive belts from engine to mower about every 2 months. I even bought the ones with Kevlar in them thinking they would last longer. There is an extreme angle from engine pulley to mower pulley when mower is lowered to cut on setting 1 & 2. My right front wheel fell off, due to a flimsy cotter pin which wore off and the wheel hub was torn up. Couldn't find a new wheel with a grease fitting, so I bought one without. It had a lot of slop, because the inside hub was shorter and the tire rubbed against the steering stop and ruined the tire. I'm currently putting air in the tire daily. The tire has a thousand small bubble leaks. Now the rear end transmission is shot and I've had it. You won't see me have another Huskee product or another MTD product. I have used for 248 hours of mowing.

As noted in previous complaints, we have had the same issues with this mower as to the pulleys and the loud engine sound. Also, it is a shame to purchase such an expensive mower to find all these problems and to find out that the company you purchased it from don't even carry the parts to fix it with. I have the hardest time trying to find blades to fit our mower. We have returned so many and made so many trips to the different Tractor Supply stores to almost pay for another one.

I purchased a Huskee garden tiller in 2000. It was a 5.5 hp front tine tiller. It was light weight and worked great in our sandy soil. Two years later, it began to kick back when I pulled the starting rope. I took it to my repair man, and he said that the valves were stuck and he couldn't repair it. I went to the Briggs and Stratton service rep in our area. He said the tiller was a throw away and not worth repairin.

I bought another just like it. Two year later, it is doing the same thing. It kicks back to hard that it nearly pulls my shoulder out of joint. I am at a loss, but I like the lightweight, easy plowing tiller, if it would only start properly.

I bought my Huskee Garden Tractor in 1999 and have had a lot of problems every since it was purched. I also bought the tiller attachment and the dozer attachment. Shortly after I got the tractor I was using the dozer and the frame bent. MTD would not repair it I had to pay out of my own pocket. They said that it wasn't ment to be used to push dirt around even if it is loose dirt. I said DA it's called a dozer blade because why. If your not suppose to use it why would you buy it. I have since junked the dozer because it fell apart.

I also had to get the govener repaired and since I got it back it has not rolled over very well when trying to start it It acts like the battery is dead the people that did the repair said that they could not have done anything to cause the problem so they wouldn't fix it under the warranty I Couldn't afford to have it fixed and have not been able to figure out what the problem is to this day I am still having problems with it. Also the mower deck is a pieace of crap I ended up buying a John Deer lawn tractor to mow with and junked the mower deck for the Huskee. I also have problems shifting gears it won't go into drive or sometimes it won't come out of gear and as an added problem I keep having to change the drive belts at least once a year. These machines and not very well built and should be taken off the market. One more thing the tiller is leaking fluid and it doesn't seem to work as well as it should when tilling it stalls out very if I try to till very deep. Now the fluid level stick broke off and fell down inside the fluid tank haven't figured out how to get it out yet.

Had to by a new tractor to do what I bought the huskee for also send $25 to $35 a year for new drive belts not to mention the time it takes to change them they don't make it easy. I also spent a lot of time trying figure out why the starting problem can't be corrected. I changed all the battery cables bought a new battery and switched the starter to see if that was the problem.

I made the mistake of purchasing a Huskee 22 550 series push mower. I have owned a variety of mowers since 1976, and this Huskee is my first and last. The way it is designed allows the blade to hit everything that comes near the mower such as rock, pavement etc., (Please note, I'm not talking about running over rock and pavement; I'm talking about mowing near rock and pavement.) Next, the engine is sluggish, and I don't believe that it is rated correctly regarding horsepower. The bottom line is that it is poorly designed, unsafe, sluggish and was a big waste of money. Although I consider this to be unsafe and a lousy mower, the only damage has been the price of the mower ($170).

On April 16,2007 I purchased A Huskee mower, 46, 19 HP. The deck belt came off the first time I used it. I took it back to Tractor Supply in Russellville, AR. They told me I had caught some foreign object causing the belt belt to come off. No foreign object was found. They put the belt back on and told me it was fixed. I took it home and it happened again. I took it back to Tractor Supply and they admitted they had experienced problems with this model and agreed to take it back and sold me a Huskee Supreme at a higher price. I experienced the same problem with this mower. The factory replaced the damaged belt. I brought it home and it happened again. The manufacturer admitted there was a flaw on the deck.

A kit was installed to take care of the problem. I picked up the mower today 9-21-07 I mowed most of my lawn today and the PTO cable broke. I called the authorized repair people today and they asked me to bring it in for repairs under warranty. I feel this an inferior product. I have 22 hours on the hour meter and this will be the fourth trip for repairs.I have driven 120 miles for repairs and have spent about eight man hours driving, loading and unloading. I Thin this tractor should be replaced or my money refunded.

120 miles travel plus time spent driving, loading and unloading. Also it takes about two weeks for repair. The gass gets out of hand.

I bought a Huskee Supreme 46 inch riding lawn tractor in February of 2007. I have had nothing but problems with the mower (it currently is undergoing the 5th repair since I bought it). The mowing deck is very poorly designed and doesn't look like it was made for the tractor. The mounting brackets actually have a piece cut out of them to let the belt travel through all of the pullies.

I have replaced numerous belts, the front mounting bracket for the deck was installed backwards (from the factory) causing the belts to last 10 hours of use. It is very obvious that everything on the mower is engineered after the fact and that nothing fits exactly as it should. I have replaced the blades (after less than 10 hours of use) as they were made from cast iron and shattered when they hit a rock. I cut my hand badly replacing the blades as there is no mechanism to lock the blades when loosening the nut that holds them in place. The mounts are made of very soft metal and the blades loosen up after a few hours of mowing, causing the entire mower deck to shake violently.

I now have limited use of my left hand due to the sever cut I suffered when changing the blades. I cannot use the tractor for what it was intended and feel that this tractor is too unsafe to use.

I had purchased a Huskee Tiller/Cultivator at TSC in 1997. Clearly marked on the card was the fact the tines had a lifetime warranty. I've been going around for 2 months trying to resolve getting replacement tines to no avail. I was told that nobody would honor the warranty since they did not expect the product to last that long.

I have to purchase a new set of tines that the manufacture even states lifetime warranty on these tines for a similar product. Either I am forced to buy $80 in tines or $300-$400 for a new tiller from a different manufacturer. My time and travel back and forth to the TSC store has probably cost another $200 or more.

We bought a 46 Husky riding mower in 2004 and paid $1700 for it. Since that time we have had nothing but trouble with it. We took it back to Tractor Supply every time we used it for repair. It was always something. We have maybe 20 hours on it. We moved to Virginia and it was not working. We took it in for service and paid $500 to have the mower fixed. We brought it home and it worked for about 5 minutes. We took it back, had it repaired again, brought it home and it lasted another 5 minutes. Every time we use it something falls off. The deck falls and breaks the belts, springs fall off, etc. etc. etc. This lawn mower should be removed from the market and the manufacturer held liable. We have way over our original investment in repairs.

We have over $1500 in repair charges and $1700 in the original investment. The mower has never worked long enough to cut the grass.

Bought 23HP, 46 deck Huskee mower in mid-March, 2004. In first week of ownership, alternator would not charge the battery. Tractor Supply gave us a replacement and said that if the problem persisted, we had no recourse but to take it to an authorized warranty repair shop. It didn't fix the problem. The closest authorized repair shop is thirty miles from Corsicana and is two-weeks backlogged.

I just have a major problem paying close to $2,000 for a new mower that doesn't work properly. From the sounds of the posted complaints on Huskee mowers, there's nothing that we can do about it unfortunately.

At this point, we are not far enough in to trying to get some satisfaction from this other than the time and frustration of dealing with having a brand new mower repaired after two weeks of ownership.
