I have had the worst experience with these people. I have proof of the constant disrespect these people have shown me. For the past 6th months I’ve been on the phone for hours just to either be ignored or have my time wasted. They have made a mockery of my time with their lies telling me they're going to help me and they never do. These people will send you to the hospital with the stress they cause. I advise you to stay away from those horrible people service. I’ve had beyond enough proof to have my claims approved and get a solution to my problem but I have been ignored and dismissed without reason. Never ever use or trust these people unless you want to waste your time and receive an unfavorable experience and an unfathomable amount of stress.

I purchased a sectional at Ashley’s Furniture and upsold on a 5 year protection plan from Guardian. My daughter took a scissors to some cushions so I made a claim. Claim was denied for multiple incidents.

It’s 100% waste of money, they cover almost nothing and what they do cover they will search for any and all loopholes not to cover damage. That’s After you might wait 6-8 months before hearing back from them. They attempt to run out clock on your plan. No concept of customer service. I actually just purchased furniture for another room from a different company because of this “protection plan” so because of them, Bob's is missing out on sales.

I purchased a couch from Bob's Discount Furniture and additionally purchased a 5 year warranty from Guardian. After just having the couch for a few months, the bottom frame and seam started to separate on a nearly new couch with hardly ANY wear. Guardian send a technician over to fix the issue which resulted in the couch being nailed together. I was skeptical that it would be enough to resolve the issue but since I had a 5 year warranty, I waited to see if any issues arose after "the fix". Well, this same issue happened again because the frame is cheap and they are refusing to cover the damages. This couch is only used for its intended purpose should be covered by the warranty as it was the first time, as this should be considered accidental at the very least. All I do is sit on the couch and it's falling apart on both sides?? They are refusing to help me and their customer service is awful.

I purchased a furniture protection plan after purchasing a sectional several years ago. Several months ago, I noticed that the electrical cord on one of the recliners had frayed (after receiving a nasty electrical shock). Though it was obviously a fire hazard, it took months to get an appt for a technician to come, after sending pics along with all of the other rigmarole. The 1st time they came, it was on the wrong day & nobody was at home. I responded to the text immediately & said that I could be there in 30 minutes but the driver said they had already left the area. I made another appointment for last Friday (the least convenient day for me, but that's all they could offer me). I had my son go over & he waited all day. No call-no show. I sent an email & a text & heard back yesterday that they were going to call me in a few minutes. Never received a call. I would not recommend purchasing one of these plans as it is a major hassle trying to file a claim. I'll never purchase one again.

I put in a claim for a broken recliner. I sent pictures. Filled out all the necessary paperwork and made all the necessary phone calls. The tech showed up without the parts to fix it. Told me the parts would arrive at my house. After waiting and calling Guardian after months they finally said they would replace the recliner. I waited for months for the email from Guardian. I called Bob's. They didn’t receive the credit after. A year they said the warranty expired. So did the credit. And they had no record of the claim or the messages between me and them. There’s a lot more to the story. It was over a year and I just found out today they will not be covering any of the pieces in my set. It’s a good warranty, but it’s a full time job from the time you put your claim in to the day they honor it. It was a complete nightmare.

Purchased a GPP plan for $170 to accompany a couch from Jerome's. Couch got a tear on the armrest corner. Because I did not fill out their form properly or in enough detail as to the individual event that caused the damage they denied the claim. Just as majority of the other reviews on this company it is a complete SCAM and waste of money. DO NOT BUY.

This company is a scam, don't waste your time purchasing a warranty from any furniture store that tries to give you this sales pitch. The company is very understaffed and it's extremely hard to reach a person over the phone the first 3 hours of the day they only have one person answering the phones. They will open a claim, approve the claim and send a tech to your home, but if the tech has to order any parts they will never fill the order and eventually close your claim as an ineligible repair. I've had 3 claims in and waited for months to get parts replaced and it has never happened. When you do reach a customer service rep they will apologize and give you some excuse and reopen the claim and the process starts all over again. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY.

This is as good as scams get. I made 3 claims, 3 perfectly valid claims, for 3 different things, and they'll be real flexible in what counts and what doesn't. Claims will never ever get approved. Save your money! This is the worst company and I keep believe they're legally still operating. What I hate is that an ok store, with an ok service like Bob's Furniture, convinces you and encourages you to use them, no one in my family will ever shop at Bob's, because they vouch this company, a total scam, a total fake dishonest insurance company on you.

They just won't pay after 34 hours of trying and spinning my wheels with an approved claim. They force you to come into your home, then for me approved my claim, then give you a partial refund in the form of a Bob's credit, NOT REAL MONEY, then it disappears and they won't even remove the firetrap from my home, because Covid killed off everyone who answers their phones. I am so sorry for their loss. Jason

So if you have a chance to read this review before before purchasing a Guardian Protection plan for your furniture dear I suggest you read all the things it does not cover 1st which will cover literally anything and everything you can think of and they will not cover your furniture for anything. Thanks. They claim that it's this awesome protection plan. It's called goof proof but it covers nothing so if anything happens to your furniture you're stuck with it with or without the plan so I suggest you save your money and DO NOT buy a Guardian Protection plan!!!! I'm posting a picture of what they don't cover. Make sure you read it if you get the chance because it will show that their protection plan is a joke.

They only have 1 star because I am not allowed to give them 0. When you are in Bob's Furniture Store, they are quick to encourage this foolish warranty plan, stating that you can get UNLIMITED service, your furniture replaced or fixed for just about anything easily, for the next 5 years. That is a complete lie. They will never replace anything, will at most give you a voucher for much less than what you paid for any item.

I have had had an accidental stain on one of my 4 chairs, Tried to put in a request, they declined a fix or replacement, but they did offer a voucher, which you would assumed would be the price of the chair, but is nowhere near close. And what is worse, is that afterwards I had a different issue on a different chair but cannot submit any claims because I have already "collected" from a claim.

I let them know I have 4 chairs, one bench and a table and this claim is for another part of the set, and I don't see how my 5 year unlimited service can be cut off for one chair when this is a 6 piece set. I didn't just pay insurance for one chair. And the voucher nowhere near covers the cost of a chair anyway (and I had to fight tooth and nail for even that). I was promised a phone call I never got, and sat on hold and was never answered. This is absolutely terrible service. Please do yourself a favor and avoid at all costs.

Bought a leather couch & bought this protection plan, made a claim because of a stain, of course denied it. It would take a lawyer to understand the terms & conditions paperwork. It's a rip off, they will not honor what they sell! Save your money!

If I could give a half star or zero star, I definitely would. After paying a good sum of money for protection, in less than two years, the so called leather started fading and all I get was, "We will be in touch." Finally they sent a technician even though I told them nothing was broken. He came and said the same thing and that I would be contacted. Since then, I have not heard from anyone. I sent several emails and got nothing back. Lessons learnt. Guardian Protection is fraud. That's all I can say.

My sofa had stains and also the bottom of the sofa broke. I submitted claims of stains and also broken furniture of some sort. I have been on hold for over an hour to try to get in touch with somebody. It was faster to go online and ask for an inquiry than on the phone. I know that they are short-staffed, it must be. Technician came by house and indicated that anything is fixable because I was hesitant that my sofa couldn't be fixed but he said that someone will call me in a few days to see what can be done. No one called, but instead I received an email saying that my case was closed due to it being over 30 days and not adequate for service. I will have to get another sofa which is ok, but would have loved to have received a phone call and an explanation rather than an email which I couldn't send a response to. Will purchase another couch.

Do not buy Guardian Protection Products Inc. I have a five-year protection plan call up to make a claim and they denied it. If you read the comments everybody’s claim was denied. They are a bunch of frauds. Do not buy.

Don't waste your hard earned money on their coverage plans. I was sold on a coverage plan for my bedroom set. I was told I could replace anything within 5 years according to my plan. Filed a claim and was denied because it not within 30 days of damage. I'm going to spread the word about this company!

I've purchased my 100% Genuine Leather furniture set from the Room Place in Lisle, IL. I loved my furniture. After a year of having the furniture set one side stopped sitting up correctly and I also accidently sprayed paint on the couch. I've contacted Guardian and placed a claim on both issues after being on hold for over an hour to speak to someone. I informed them of the issue, told them it was within 30 days. I was told to send in documentations and pictures of the furniture.

This claim has been over a month. I received an email saying they have not received the close up photos. I have submitted these photos numerous of times. I still have not received a response back, I also have been calling and I have not been able to get anyone on the phone. I sat on the phone for 2 hrs and 16 mins and finally hung up. Room place also does not help and this leads me to believe they are scamming their customers with this 3rd party company that doesn't assist their patients. I will never purchase from the room place again! Very Upset Patient!

I bought furniture - a chair. Was damaged over fourth of July weekend. Called place I bought. Found out I was outside my 1 year warranty and was told to contact Guardian and it's been a completed nightmare. I have hold times, invested well over 30 hours now. Just over 6 today. I couldn't get anyone to help so I decided I wanted a refund of the protection plan and I would be done. I was working with Chuck and Kyle who said not a problem.

I gave correct address and found out the checks were mailed to incorrect address and was told that would have to wait for stop pay etc which it's been a few days since that call. Mind you I called 10 mins after they opened and still had to wait 40 mins checking status to be sure new checks were mailed. They close here in 15 mins. Been on hold over 6.5 hours now because it's a larger sum of money cimg back to me. Seriously this is ridiculous. No clue how they have been in business this long if this is the "norm". Covid is no excuse to have someone wait this long for a question that I don't know I will even be helped today. Guessing I will have to start the process over tomorrow. INSANE! Will never do business with them again ever.

I purchased the extended warranty protection plan from Rooms To Go for a new sofa/loveseat. The plan very specifically covers “Pet biologicals”. One night at bedtime, my older dog was sleeping on the sofa and woke up and urinated on the cushions. I dabbed the wet spots with paper towels and next day took photos and submitted a claim. Guardian very quickly denied the claim on the pretense that they could not see stains in the pictures. Repeated phone calls and no change in their position. Rooms To Go would not help me either. I would hope that smart consumers will avoid doing business with either company.

I had purchased leather recliner from Bob's Discount Furniture and they sold me a policy for accidental stains and tears where my head rests on the recliner started to peel and discolor because of my hair product I use, so I decided to take advantage of the warranty. After months of processing, they told me I was not covered. This warrant is a scam. Buyer beware. This was an accidental stain which they claim they cover and they will not cover my recliner.

We have been living in our home for 11 years now and had Guardian Protection from the beginning even during signing the home contract with our home builder. Guardian did not only install all our security system, they also installed a sound system over two floors. We purchased monitoring for security. Because of a recent incidence when the fire alarm went off we ran to the box and tried to disarm the fire alarm but we were not successful. I pressed the fire button for a good while but the monitoring team did not respond at all. Because right around Christmas the alarm started while cooking dinner in an Airfryer. That day the security monitoring team from Guardian responded. We contacted Guardian and asked what was happening. They told us that they had installed 2 smoke detectors, one on the upper floor and one on the basement and that's all at the time we moved into this brand new home.

They said they don't monitor the builders smoke detectors and they never installed a smoke detector on the first floor where the kitchen is etc. They had never informed us about that issue. We couldn't tell the smoke detectors apart and we were never told that we needed to tell Guardian that we need a smoke detector on the first floor. Can you believe this? Questions of why a security company would only install 2 smoke detectors and not even one on the main floor with the kitchen? So if you are a new homeowner make sure that you asked the company that will put in your security system if that works for all floors. In our case the system should have alarmed the monitoring team because I manually activated the alarm system.

We can have one installed for $125.00 but the issue is that we paid monthly since 11 years and were not aware that we did not have a monitoring service for a fire alarm smoke detector on the ground floor. I am still in disbelief. 11 years without protection on the first floor and Guardian still does not feel that they should have advised us at the time of installation. Good luck with Guardian, I don't trust them anymore.

I purchased the Goof Proof plan for $200 from Bob's Furniture. I spilt hot chocolate on the my sofa and chaise. It has been months of lies and getting the runaround with Guardian. DO NOT buy Goof Proof. This company is immoral. They completely lied about the technician reports. When I called the company that sent the technician they told me they had reported the damage to Guardian. They are liars!!!!

I purchased the 5-year protection plan for my bedroom set from Bob's Discount Furniture and it was a huge waste of money. I've been fighting for almost 2 months trying to get them to repair or replace my dresser that broke when my wife and I were moving it. They are refusing to honor the contract for any loophole they can attempt to conjure up. Their most recent attempt is that because I didn't report a "specific incident" on the initial call it us not eligible. I reported the date, time, and circumstances over the phone and they filed the paperwork. Seems like they intentionally left off the description so they could find a reason to not cover it. It may seem like a good deal when you buy new furniture, but I'm beginning to doubt that they actually ever stand behind their contract. Avoid at all costs. Customer service typically doesn't respond. They are rude, and completely unhelpful. Company is a scam and waste of money.

I purchased the 5 years "Goof Proof" policy from BOB'S FURNITURE and filed a claim just 1 year after the coverage started. First, no response was received after 3 months after I submitted all required documents. I just called them and they just said I was denied because the damage "occurred during normal intended use of the product." Even though I reported it was the accident 10 days after it happened and I said clearly IT WAS AN ACCIDENT! IS BOB FURNITURE SCAMMING ITS CUSTOMERS WITH THIS PRODUCT?

Sent pictures in with cracks and defects and stains in leather along with top layer of leather coming off. I was told everything except abuse was covered. They refuse to repair or replace the furniture. They only looked at the pictures and sent an email saying these three items were not covered.

We purchased a three piece sectional couch from American Freight Furniture in Knoxville TN and decided to purchase the extended 5-year warranty because we were told how great it was. It even covers if your child spills or dog pees on the couch. Well we actually did have an incident where the dog peed but I just removed the cushion and washed it (very easy small spot). However less than two years after purchasing the couch the zipper completely split in two places on one cushion, so I submitted it for warranty (no not covered). Then 6 months later, the back frame of the couch actually comes apart poking three holes through the back fabric of the cushion (no not covered either). This is the most ridiculous warranty ever. So neither the store nor the Warranty company is willing to take any responsibility for this. Will never buy another furniture warranty or couch from either company.

Now I had the misfortune of having to use this company not just once but twice. The first time we bought the protection plan with all of our new furniture from Bob's Discount Furniture. When we actually needed to use it we filed a claim and of course got a run around. I had to drive to the store and scream my bloody head off on multiple occasions to finally be told, "OH I am sorry. there is a mistake. That's not really covered like it was explained to you and originally promised."

Now comes time number two. I try to file a claim but the store never submitted our plan in the first place, so I have to fight to have that done. When I finally file the claim I think all is good, nope. I get an email that tears from a pet is not covered as was explained would be when I bought my plan. I am ok with that because I figure they are going to fix the broken mechanical issue. I get an email stating that they don't have any techs in my area so they will have to replace it instead, ok great. NOPE, I get a follow up email stating that was wrong on their part and that isn't covered either.

When I call and request a call back I basically get told that my plan doesn't cover any of the things that happened to my furniture, how convenient...Oh but it covers spills or pet stains. Wonderful. All this company will do is take your money and rob you blind. They do absolutely nothing but give you grief and stress. Run the other way.

I purchased the "Goof Proof" policy and filed a claim well within the 5 year coverage. I was denied because the damage was "Not caused by an accident" and occurred during normal intended use of the product. They even said, "although we realize you did not intentionally cause the damage, the claim is denied because it was not accidental and was caused during normal intended use of the product". I put my foot on the foot rest and it literally fell apart. By the way, the sales person at the store said this coverage literally covers anything and all things that could go wrong with the furniture... WOW!

So, I tried to start a claim back in December. On my dining chair made of cloth fabricate. I was told that MEGA FURNITURE whom I purchase the dining set from. That my added extended warranty with Guardian Protection Products would handle this. I called their main number to talk to someone in the claims department to help me out. But, all I would get is an automated message that said due to COVID that my wait time to talk to a CSR would be extended. And after a half hour of waiting. I went online to Guardian and went online to start the process. Well because I didn't have my protection plan ID number. The system requires this to process the order.

So I had to call MEGA FURNITURE where I purchase the set from for the warranty ID number. They told me to send them my purchase order with the extended warranty on it. But, again I couldn't get a hold of anyone via phone or online. So, I had to resort to going on Guardian online live chat. Finally I was able to communicate with a CSR. He sent me a link to forward the documents to. Now I sent all information on 03/08/2022. And today I get a response to my claim that it is denied due to the time period of when the claim was put in and the issue with the chair. Exceed the 30 day of reporting and getting the claim process. Trust me when I say that you want to stay clear away from this JOKE of a warranty company. The blame is also on MEGA FURNITURE who sold such an inferior warranty on top of that.
