My elderly parents redid their kitchen and looked at Bosch dishwasher on our recommendation. (We love them; they're quiet, get everything super clean, last a long time). Well the dealer convinced her to get the whole Bosch kitchen suite of appliances.... The stove and microwave were inoperable and unrepairable despite multiple Bosch certified repairperson visits and bills in under 3 years. I'm just waiting for my poor Mom in her mid 80s to tell me the fridge is dead. And she'd rather live out if styro coolers than tell me that. Do better Bosch.

Last 15 months had someone out twice to fix e15.... Works about 5 months... Use products recommended... Doing it again... Ready to throw out... Spent way too much for this aggravation.... Consider the cost of Bosch.

Think twice before buying from Bosch. If something goes wrong their tech support is THE WORST (especially compared to a company like Miele). The following is an account of the incredible saga which has not yet been resolved and which has left me with a poorly/semi functioning cooktop for more than half a year and has cost me just over $1000 in repairs and an untold amount of time.

December 22, 2021. After failing to show for an earlier appointment, Tech Eddie shows up without any parts to repair a cooktop which was already reported as being cracked at the top left corner. He confirmed what we had already described and said we would have to wait a month for the parts to arrive. January 24, 2022. Tech Eddie comes and replaces the cooktop glass, but the sensors do not appear to be working as they were earlier. When Eddie is told this he brushes it off saying something to the effect “Oh no you just got to fiddle with them, they work.”

It is later discovered that not only are the sensors slow to respond, the “speed boost” setting does not work on any of the burners, and two burners weren’t working at all. 2/5th of the machine was (and still is) completely dead. We placed a service call at the beginning of February but were told the tech couldn’t come until March.

March 2, 2022. March rolls around and Eddie shows up. Not to fix the cooktop, as we had rationally assumed, but to diagnose the problem. He does not even look at the cooktop before telling me he would have to return with parts. Again, I want to stress, this was not based on looking at the cooktop, this was just on hearing me describe to him the exact thing I had told tech support a month earlier.

Eddie tells us he will have to come back with parts and that it will cost us several hundred dollars. I told him that we paid over $1000 to fix a crack and that while he fixed the crack he left us with a cooktop that no longer fully functioned. I said this is on Bosch. He said how could he know the crack didn’t cause it. I pointed out that he could know because everything was working while it was cracked and that it was only after that all the issues began. He said HE didn’t know that, essentially calling me a liar. I told him that he could have tested it before working on it or at the very least tested it before leaving. He eventually relented and said stuff like “I got you, brother. I’m gonna hook you up, brother” stuff like that. It was insulting because I am not looking to be “hooked up” I am simply looking to be treated fairly, to have the repairs done correctly and not have my time continually wasted.

Before he left I asked if he could at least look at the cooktop because maybe it’s as simple as something not being connected beneath. He seemed too pressed for time and said it would be a huge production to do so. He would have to remove the oven and then it would just be a whole lotta time and he was sure (I have no idea how) that it just needed new parts. He said the best he could do was have me show him how it wasn’t working. I told him that was ridiculous, because it will just be me showing him what I told him. He wanted me to do it anyway, perhaps to ensure that I wasn’t lying or crazy. As it turned out, I was not lying or crazy, the cooktop didn’t work in exactly the way I had told him and the way I had told tech support a month earlier. Eddie leaves assuring us that “he’s got us”. He says he’ll call in a couple days with a new appointment.

A couple days later: no word from Eddie A couple days after that: still no word. So we call Bosch and are told there are no appointments until April. Since April and May we would be in and out of Los Angeles, we schedule an appointment for May 31st, when we know for certain we will be here. May 30, 2022. Eddie calls at around 9pm to confirm the appointment the next day saying “good morning” though it was evening. Eddie says he will be at our place between 8am and 1pm the next day.

May 31, 2022. Instead of showing up as he said he would, Eddie calls. He says he doesn’t have the parts, they got “sent back” because we waited too long for the repair (I guess Bosch logistics are somehow the customer’s responsibility). After talking with Eddie we called Bosch support and told them what Eddie had said. They rescheduled for 10th of June. No one would be here the beginning of June so hoping to get an earlier time we contacted Eddie who said he would call us back in two days by June 2nd.

June 2, 2022. No call from Eddie and he was unable to reach. We called Bosch again and the rep confirmed they couldn’t come until June 10th because of the parts. Since no one would be here at the beginning of June we rescheduled for 6th of July when we knew for certain we would be here. July 5, 2022. No word from Bosch confirming the appointment like they said we should expect.

July 6, 2022. No word from Bosch despite it being the day of the appointment. We call Bosch to find out if they were in fact coming and the rep says the tech had to cancel. Again, they never notified us of this - we had to call to get this information. The rep goes on to say Bosch could have someone out tomorrow the 7th and confirmed tech would show up with the parts and ready to fix cooktop. July 7, 2022. No word from Bosch. We called Bosch and the rep said she had no info about an appointment today, that the only thing she saw was a reschedule from June 10th to July 8th.

July 8, 2022. Bosch tech, Chang, calls (hooray!) to give time window. When asked if he had the replacements parts he says no and states that he doesn’t have any information as to what the appointment is even for (unbelievable!). We then call Bosch to find out what is going on, ultimately we get elevated, the rep says only half the parts were delivered and that the other parts are on backorder until September 14th. So it's been nearly three quarters of a year and they are still monkeying around saying they cannot fix my cooktop. If this is the kind of service you want, go Bosch.

I had read many great reviews on Bosch dishwashers. The salesman at the appliance shop raved on and on about how superior they were. So I paid four figures of hard-earned, long-saved money. Grossly overstated claims. The performance was terrible. Dishes came out dirty. I had a new set of glasses. They were ruined after the first wash. A coffee mug that had been a gift from a friend cracked and the entire outside of it splintered. Other glasses were ruined.

The appliance shop sent a repairman who damaged the controls and then said there was nothing wrong with the dishwasher. He was rude and uncooperative. We were told we had to go directly to Bosch. I followed all their instructions, jumped through Bosch's ridiculous hoops for 6 months and then they said there was nothing wrong. I asked them if I was stuck with a lemon. They said it was my problem. They said they would do nothing to make it right. NEVER AGAIN will I purchase ANYTHING by Bosch. It is poorly designed, wastes energy, and customer service was rude and refused to honor the warranty.

We bought a Bosch Dishwasher 500 series 2 months ago. Never worked from the first day and followed the Bosch return/repair process and got the service company they told us to contact. The repair person came, looked at it and said it was the board; ordered the part which we waited for patiently. When he came back with the part, he found out more problems and was not able to fix it. He wrote a report within the same hour. 2 weeks later we are still waiting for the Bosch management to give us back our money. We got the product First week of April and it did not worked from day one.

Resolution response: June 17, 2022

Update: After the first miserable experience with the Bosch technician, I called Bosch again. The motherboard had been switched out, however the dishwasher continued to malfunction in the same way. I specifically asked that a different technician be sent for the 2nd attempt repair. I also reiterated the issue. The customer service rep was very kind and understanding. She inputed my feedback and gave me an appointment for 2 weeks out.

On June 17th, the SAME technician showed up to my door. He spent about 60 seconds with me, saying that it's probably the heater and that he would be ordering a new one. Once again, he lacked eye contact, as he inputed the order into his IPad. He started walking to the door with no further details. I asked him when he would be back, to which he responded, "I don't know, I'll call you in 15 minutes."

This has not been the SECOND DAY I have had to take off work because they only provide business hours for repairs. And now, I'll have to take a THIRD day for him to come and switch out the heater. I am not on hold for 20 minutes (and counting) for me to speak with a representative.

I am BEYOND DISGUSTED WITH THIS COMPANY. The company was already previously aware of this issue. Why couldn't they have ordered a new part and switched it out today. It's pathetic. DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS. I SURELY WILL NEVER DO SO EVER AGAIN.

Original review: June 3, 2022

I purchased the Bosch dishwasher appliance back in January 2022. By March, I noticed it started to malfunction. One night, I left the appliance on, went to bed and when I woke up the next morning, (about 7-8 hours later) it was still running. Another malfunction I noticed is that it would beep once (normally, when a cycle is complete it beeps 3x/3x) and the red light on the bottom would be blinking. The only way to drain the water and complete the cycle in these cases is to manually restart the device. This continues to happen repeatedly and I cannot leave it unattended and have to use my own timer.

I called Bosch for customer support. They stated they could not provide an appointment for at least one month out or longer. They shared they could provide some contact numbers for contracted technicians. The numbers I called stated that I was out of their scope in terms of geographic location and the other numbers were out of service or did not return my call.

I called back Bosch and settled for the month out appointment. I then had a scheduling conflict and had to wait yet another month. The technician came (June 3rd) with a poor attitude and disgruntled. He pressed a button and stated that no "errors" were showing up for him. He shared with me that I should have had the device running or had recorded a video because he had, "lots of customers and could not spend too much time." Overall, his work ethic was TERRIBLE and it was clear that he just didn't want to do his job.

He called his supervisor. He once again, stated there was nothing he could do and suggested that we take a video and record the cycle. I had to really press him and let him know this has been going on for months, that our one year warranty was running out and that we had waited 2 months for him to come out (not to mention cancel half my day because they provide a 4 hour window for when they 'might' come). He stated he's been working for the company for 5 years and had "never" seen this issue. In short, that insinuating it was my fault.

I suggested to him, that according to my research, this issue was probably due to a malfunction of the motherboard. He stated he would "be right back" and came back with some tools. Pulled out the dishwasher and started to unhappily work on the device. I felt I couldn't even ask him any questions because he seemed so annoyed. This process did not even take him 10 minutes to do - at which point he said, "ok, I switched out your motherboard and I am leaving." I thanked him and that was that. Hopefully what he fixed will do the trick. But overall, their customer service is AWFUL from start to finish and they do not back up their products. Will not be purchasing any products from this company again.

Bought a Washer and Dryer 1 1/2 years ago, barely used them as it is in our Guest Suite, we had a leak in the plastic valve that connects the water hoses, so it flood it our House, 60000.- later, we contact Bosch to question their product, they said that they will make a special effort to see what's gone wrong but won't pay for the repair or any damage it caused, I was hoping for a fixing of the washer, they give a 1 year warranty and that's it! I recommend all you Folks not to Buy any Bosch products, this Company does not back their products or fix them! Terrible Company! There are plenty of Appliance companies who back their Products, so choose careful and stay away from Bosch!

I bought a $1000 dishwasher. Leaked from day one. Must have got a lemon because it wasn't fixable. Have been trying to get Bosch to give me a idea when they would replace it. They laughed. I bought it in December. It's mid May. Still haven't got a new one. Be careful. Quality suck everywhere.

Updated on 01/19/2023: After trying to get the Bosch condensing dryer to work for months, we gave up and got a new dryer, only to discover to our dismay that the washing machine (which still worked) plugs into the dryer with a highly unusual plug. Now, we need to find an adaptor for it or replace the washer too. Plus, we have been waiting 7 months now for a new part for our Bosch steam oven with no delivery date in sight. I can't tell you strongly enough: DO NOT BUY BOSCH!!! At this point, I have wasted far too much on this company.

Original Review: From day one, this dryer has not dried clothes properly. And apparently, you have to 'clean' a heat exchanger once a month. This information is buried in the owner's manual and I didn't know about it until the dryer stopped working. Now, Bosch won't answer their phone and I am left with a non-functional dryer. Do yourself a favor and do not buy this European dryer!

I contracted Apple Air to install a tankless hot water heater during a complete home renovation. The Bosch unit has had nothing but problems since we starting using it. Apple has had a technician here a dozen times and has tried replacing different parts and has had no success. The unit gets freezing cold and then scalding hot intermittently. Even the technician said he can see the codes that are appearing indicating the problem. I’ve been very patient thus far but am tired of being told “we’ll call you back” when they never do. Weeks go by and we hear nothing. It’s not right. At some point they need to admit that the unit is faulty and to either install a new one or issue me a refund because frankly I don’t want to do businesses with this company anymore. Please don’t make the mistake I made by getting schmoozed Apple Air and there salesman John **.

We had a 20 year old Kenmore 4 burner cooktop and when the igniters started failing we decided on a Bosch 30” Drop In Cooktop. As Lowe's is pretty much the only shop to purchase from in our area the Bosch 5 Burner Gas Cooktop was recommended by the store as the best! At approximately $1250 we were excited and hoped for the best and had to wait 2 months ordering time. Unfortunately when using this cooktop the metal base heats up and gets so hot you can actually burn yourself if you touch any part of the metal. Our old cooktop was a thicker heavier gage metal and never got hot.

This is a cheap, poorly designed product. The simmer burners should both be in the front and the bigger burners in the back! We may return this to Lowe's as they have been much better at consumer purchase approval than Bosch. We contacted Bosch and after much banter they had repair people come out. The Repair Service agreed 100% that there was something wrong. So far this is unresolved and there doesn’t seem to be a true fix, rather this is more a manufacturer’s design defect. If you have any little children this is especially dangerous as kids always reach up and touch things. They can get severe burns if touched when in use. Bosch’ s opinion was that the cooktop shouldn’t really be used for more than 1/2 hour of use.

When we mentioned holidays or cooking soup for 2 hours they said that was over usage. They are totally resistant and unwilling to helping us fix this or replace so far! Previous experience with Bosch appliances had been good as we own others. However this has completely changed our opinion of this company! The average 30” cooktop is $600 and this was twice the price! If all these cooktops get hot and have no insulation then it’s not necessary to spend more not to get a better device. Our opinion, This product should be recalled!

Our Bosch 800 gas slide-in range was purchased in late 2019, installed in February 2020 and the igniter failed in October 2021. One would hope that a new $2200 range would last longer than a year and a half before failing. We would have had to wait 30 days for service at hundreds of dollars cost, so I bought a new igniter and installed it so that we would have a working oven. Bosch was unwilling to reimburse us for the $105 igniter. I don't recommend Bosch.

Bosch service tech discovered a manufacturers defect in my new dishwasher model number SHEM63W55N. My dealer submitted the request to replace immediately. The RA paperwork took 7 weeks. After spending the morning on the phone with the seller, I was told this model is not available. When I called Bosch, the customer service informed me that they have closed the issue and that they are done. No suggestions or offers to correct the issue and no apology for their delays. I have to hope that the seller will do what is necessary to correct the issue. Would have expected better and more compassion from their customer service people. I do not recommend Bosch if you want good customer service!

I have a 13 month old Bosch fridge. The first time it needed service under the warranty it was hours of tracking someone down to do it. 12 months in, the ice maker stopped working. Impossible again to get through the Bosch telephone lines or chat lines. The lack of decent service totally negates what might be a good product. I wouldn't call this customer service; rather it's customer disservice.

I love my new Bosch double oven! The doors are side opening (great for a short person); a telescoping rack that makes removing hot items so easy. Heating temperature is perfect and I can bake six cookie sheets at once. This was a great choice for me.

I ordered a display circuit board for my Bosch oven. The display magically fixed itself by the time the part arrived, so I called Bosch to a coordinate return. My problem is with Bosch's mandatory 25% restocking fee, and with the information I had to provide in order to secure my timely refund. The circuit board, the box in which it arrived in I never opened, cost $106. I paid $26.50 to restock a circuit board that's probably 1/8" thick, and 6" x 3" in size. There's no effort to put this unused part back on the shelf. But it is what it is, and Bosch makes that clear in their return policy. While exorbitant, it wasn't a surprise. I just thought there'd be more flexibility. After all, I'm not returning a refrigerator. So as I moved through the return process, I had to provide a model number for the oven. If I didn't, the refunds would be delayed. I asked the representative why that mattered, and that it should have no bearing on my return.

They have the part number, so that should be enough. I also commented that they're charging me 25% to restock, so maybe they should figure that out. Representative was very polite, but said several times that her hands were tied. In the end, I provided much more information than is required to return the part, especially when considering they're charging $25 to restock a circuit board whose connection to my return will be irrelevant when they sell it again. If Bosch is this complex and penalizing for their returns, I hate to think what happens when I have an actual problem with their products.

Our built in microwave 800 series starting having trouble about a year after purchase. The display went dim. We were told it was no longer in warranty so just lived with it. Subsequently the door broke, the fuse blew and the circuit board overloaded and failed/burned out (all out of warranty). The service person came ($200) to tell us the door being crooked from when we bought it caused all these problems because the left and right side triggers were engaging out of sync when opening and closing.

The cost to repair the unit would be more than the value of the microwave at original purchase. As for a prorate on a replacement model. It's taken them 6 weeks and counting just to process that request while I continue to get voicemails that a repair person is coming back to fix it (a solution I've repeatedly rejected as paying over $1000 to repair a microwave is nonsense). Two months of calls to Bosch support several times a week and still waiting to get this resolved. The prorate amount they have offered is a very small discount considering they sold us a lemon in the first place. Very disappointed with bosch at every step and would not recommend the product nor customer service.

Our Bosch dishwasher had a recall on the device that holds the door in place but we never received a recall notice and didn't know about it until the item broke. We are the original owner and are registered with Bosch. While we were waiting on the repair, we propped the door with a box to keep it from opening wider than it should. After a week, the dishwasher started throwing an E15 error because it was leaking water. We also noticed that water flow to the sink where it is connected was much lower. We were concerned about this so we decided the safest approach is to cut off the water and we had to cut of the electric at the breaker to get it from constantly trying to access or drain water.

The repairman finally came out and fixed the door but told us that the leaking was caused by unevenness of the dishwasher. I told him that didn't make sense since the dishwasher has been sitting in the same location at the same adjustment for the past 4-5 years. He said he didn't know about that but it was uneven. When we mentioned the sink issue he told us it was unrelated because the water to the dishwasher has a separate valve. I asked whether it could be a problem with the drain line and he said that still would not affect the faucet. He told us we need to have someone come and fix the faucet.

He then started our dishwasher and ran it for a few minutes and then stated that there was no leak but we saw drops of water on the side. He said that was just from steam condensation when he opened the door but we had never seen this before. He told us the dishwasher should work fine. That was late in the afternoon on Thursday. We ran the dishwasher for the first time today, Sunday, at noon and it is leaking all over our floor and the E15 error has been thrown again. Once this error is thrown the only way to stop the dishwasher is to throw off the breaker which also disconnects our electric motion detecting faucet and the lights.

I called service and today is 10/31 but they told me the first available appointment is on 11/20. That's the weekend before Thanksgiving and we may not have a working sink for the holiday! The service desk person told me there is nothing she can do. This is a Bosch employee that came out to service our machine and he did a very poor job as is apparent now. He was dismissive of all of our concerns which would have been okay if he were right, but he wasn't. I had told him that since we had to wait so long for him to come I wanted to make sure it didn't work okay. He told me it was fine. The noise level also increased which was the main feature that attracted us to a Bosch over the competition. He told us that it was louder only because no dishes are in there, but today when we ran it, it was loud. So disappointed in the whole experience!! I guess we need to investigate a back up plan for a new dishwasher - not a Bosch!

Quiet. So quiet only a red light lets you know the dishwasher is running and a faint subtle beep alerts you as to when the cycle has completed. The dishware that it cleans comes out looking like new. Highly recommend.

Good overall dishwasher. Runs quiet to the point they need a red light indicator that it is running. Only issue we have had is if a dish or bowl overhangs the upper rack and the soap door doesn’t fully open. Easy to maintain filters etc.

Mine was getting old and started having problems. Researched and asked lots of people. Result was Bosch 300 and I love it. Lower models had plastic parts that over time leak. Higher models had lots of bells & whistles that I will never use. Found the best price & purchased. Many stores having supply issues and did not want to get stuck with a broken appliance. A few days later my son called, picked my brain & purchased the same model, different door. We both love them!

We bought a dishwasher nine months ago and it hasn't worked properly from day one. Parts were replaced twice and it didn't fix the problem. The repair person tried his best even calling for additional support but I guess no one knows how to to fix it. It stops working and maybe after 12 hours or so it will restart. Once it is working it is fine but that is not what you want. I have just hung up from being on hold to get another repair ticket for over 50 minutes and no one picks up at their end. I strongly would discourage anyone from getting a Bosch product.

I completed a kitchen renovation and purchased a Bosch refrigerator. When it was unwrapped, the right door was severely damaged. Bosch suggested a new door rather than a new refrigerator and I agreed. We are now 2 months later and I’m told the production of the door is not until 9/18/21 and they have no idea when they will replace the door. Lewis was very irritated when I tried to get a definitive answer as to the install date. These are not cheap appliances and I guess I expected better customer service. Doubt that I will be a future Bosch customer based in this experience.

We were having issues with our Bosch dishwasher, up to this point for fifteen years it's been great. Bosch informed us there was a recall on that model and offered us a 30% discount on a new model. That happened in mid-February and it still has not shown (it's now August 2021). We have tried to reach out and see what is going on; you're on hold for at least 30 minutes, then you speak with someone who has no idea how to track down the issue. Is this really how you want to run your company Bosch? Honestly, as pathetic a way to treat customers as one can imagine. I'd cancel the order but we've already paid.

Bought a new built house less than a year ago. On demand heat and hot water system failed. Bosch will not cover the cost of replacing the broken parts. Terrible warranty. Stay away from Bosch products!

The best customer service. I did my whole kitchen in Bosch and I had several problems with my appliances and they right away and replace the parts at no charge even past the warranty period if the fault is not yours. I bought a stainless steel fridge from Best Buy and no one told me that I had to clean it with only soap and water. Anyway the surface got completely damaged and they agreed to come and change all the doors of the fridge for free. Now that is customer service. I will only buy Bosch from now on. Forget the Korean brands with zero customer service

I bought a Bosch dishwasher and soon after the warranty expired, the plumbing in the dishwasher, not my house or the feed to the dishwasher, leaked and ruined my expensive wood floor in my kitchen and dining room. In addition, the water leaked down into the basement and destroyed the ceiling, walls, and carpet. No-Leak technology that Bosch markets is all a lie and **. Don't waste your hard-earned money. BUY AMERICAN!!!

After only 24 months our convection microwave was chronically broken, even after four repairs, for the SAME problem! On the last repair the Bosch technician told me the problem is the design of the door and the micro switches. The local Bosch is no help and they just keep sending out techs to fix the same problem. Each time we had to wait many weeks to get an appointment, so the outcome is that in the past 4 years our oven has not worked for 7 months!

The convection wall oven has locked up and over heated 4 times in 6 years, once cremating a very expensive standing prime rib roast, the circuit board replaced twice. The microwave had its circuit board replaced and the dishwasher had to have its hinges repair. All on my dollar, even though the oven was just barely over 1 year old, the microwave was 2 and the dishwasher 4. Their customer service is the worst. For company that thinks it is high end it is just another overseas cheap piece of junk. Do not buy Bosch appliances.

I would give a negative start if it was possible. My Bosch microwave began turning on by itself. I purchased it with a paid warranty. I called Bosch in early February and they set up a time for someone to fix it in early March. The Bosch repairmen came and said he fixed it, however, the issue reappeared moments after he left. I called back. They set up another appointment and the repairmen did not show up when he was supposed to (of course they never gave me any notice). I called back and set up another appointment. Of course, the repairmen never showed up. I called Bosch and complained to a manager (who was the rudest manager I ever spoke with). He set up another appointment. This time the repairmen actually showed up with the parts but then informed me that the parts they ordered won't fix the issue. So they had to order different parts.

So I set up another appointment for today. Surprise surprise, the Bosch repairmen never showed up (again with no notice). In summary, during the past 5 months, I have set up 5 appointments and have had 3 no shows (without any notice). I have complained to Bosch US, Bosch UK, and Lowe's. I filed a formal written complaint to Lowe's. I have spent over 15 hours calling Bosch. I have complained to 4 managers to no avail. 2 managers were supposed to call me back but they didn't. I am at a loss for what to do. Now all I want is my warranty money back or a new microwave. Can anyone help me????

Before you pay more (a lot more) for Bosch, please be aware of the following: For a problem with our new refrigerator (<9 mos old), Bosch scheduled a repair appt. and then canceled it because the technician is taking the day off. No one else is available for 2 weeks. Bosch provided the names of authorized service companies, none of whom are available for 1 or 2 months. Customer service supervisor Maria promised to call back with an update but did not; refused to return my calls. Other customer service promised to get earlier appointment but did not call back and left no notes in the system so that anyone could find her. Bottom line: no customer service and no warranty.

Was remodeling my kitchen and wanted to date my appliances. Did research and came up with Bosch as a number one brand. It is not. You know the commercial, if you have to rinse the dishes what does a dishwasher do? Well, that’s this dishwasher. It takes just over 2 hours to do a normal cycle and still I’m rewashing by hand. I thought it maybe the detergent I use so switched, nope. I wish I stayed with my OLD Maytag! I gave it 2 stars because it is very quiet. I wish I could change it, but not willing to be out $900 bucks.

Before upgrading my kitchen appliances, did search on BOSCH Kitchen gas cooktops, found one had good reviews, after buying from LOWE'S, within few months, knobs getting hot, and even hotter once we cook more and more, both right and left hand side were getting extremely hot, even above we used to have microwave, under and handle both were getting so hot, unbelievable... we started getting burned 10 to 15times a year, I called Lowe's, told us to contact BOSCH directly, I gave several terrible reviews so new customers stay away from this product, this is the most terrible product of BOSCH made, as last week, my wife got really burned by her finger tops try to turn-off the steel knob, and she got really burned for weeks, couldn't touch or grab anything from that finger. Today I am complaining to company and many others NOT TO BUY THIS PRODUCT. This is Worst product...that you can't imagine!!

Thinking to hire lawyer and sue the company so, they will take this matter seriously and for other new customers not to invest in this non-safety, disaster product ever can come into the market to sell. MODEL: NGM8054UC /03. Serial: 931000088. - Wish this can help others to stay away and can save lives (if minor kids/adults/seniors -ALL touching the knobs in the house).

I had the worst experience with Bosch Appliance USA. They finally swapped out a very high end Refrigerator that they could not fix. They sent their completely incompetent installers to swap it out and ended up breaking a water line, flooding my home causing extensive damage, left it uninstalled. Water went thru my wood floors and ceiling into my basement and crawlspace. It was a nightmare. They refused to give me their insurance information to file a claim, constantly sending me from one person to another. They were even rude when I called again to ask for a higher escalation. They would not escalate it.

I will have to hire an attorney to sue them just to get them to file a claim. It's unbelievable that a company that big would treat its customers this way and even more mind boggling that they would use installers that are not experienced enough to do an install in a high end home. I would advise anyone who is thinking about buying Bosch to reconsider. I hope I can save you all my heartache. :(

Wall oven kept going dark and not working until you reset the breaker. Had to do that a few times in the three years we’ve owned it. It was installed new in 2016, we bought the house in 2018. Now it won’t reset at all. The only authorized service company is failing to get a tech here since March 31 with parts already being local. Wrote to Bosch hoping to get some help in getting the oven fixed. After sending them all the info they requested along with my firstborn they said they couldn’t help and that the awful service company they have is the only one “sorry” and “thanks for letting us help you”.??? Buy something else. Bosch is just expensive junk.

Purchased a new home, wanted to replace all appliances, ordered BOSCH 800 SERIES 3 refrigerator, BOSCH 800 SERIES Dishwasher and BOSCH 800 SERIES 36IN. FLAME cooktop on 8/7/20. Regret it! Regret it totally. Waited 6 weeks for the cooktop to arrive with an impressive tagline ‘Cook with precision’, but the BRAND fails to live up to it miserably.

To begin with I was always struggling to cook simply because the lower flame (simmer) burners are in the front and bigger flames ones are at the back (who cooks that ways??); if I started cooking on front burners, it felt like ages to even stir fry and if I started cooking at the rear, I was falling way too over my food simmering on the front burners risking burning myself. It was like juggling and guessing which burner to use for what and finally after having burnt myself more than a few times, I figured I could only use the center one for day-to-day cooking else I was just wasting my time (in hopes of ‘cooking with precision’) and getting burnt.

As if this struggle wasn’t enough, in two months’ time the right front burner started shooting flames out near the sensor, which was hitting the cooktop surface and discoloring it. It wasn’t until the stainless steel surface was fairly dark that we noticed, what was actually happening and contacted the customer service (on 12/21/20) for help only to be told (on 1/10/21) that our problem was a cosmetic issue. When we refused to agree and sent more pictures, we were told, “We unfortunately would not have any sort of troubleshooting for this specific scenario and we can only recommend contacting your local authorized servicer in order to have this matter better addressed” and referred three companies.

We shared this video (**) with the customer service on 1/22/21 hoping to get a feedback from the R&D team but BOSCH’s customer service didn’t even bother to acknowledge, leave aside respond to the safety hazard this design of the cooktop poses to its users which can be serious and life threatening. Having tested Covid positive, we couldn’t call the technical support (referred to by BOSCH) until April ’21. The chap comes in looks at every nook and corner of the cooktop but could not figure out a thing in 15 mins. Then another chap comes in in a few days and tells it is the burner cap that is causing for the flames to shoot. But, he still doesn’t know why? He goes back, calls BOSCH and gets back asking if we had another burner cap? Well yes, it is just 1mm smaller in size w.r.t the one currently on the burner. Eureka! We have the wrong burner cap on and an invoice from the technician stating BOSCH will not cover this.

Now, that I know of the reason for the shooting flames, I agree that it was probably a mix-up of the burner caps while cleaning. BUT, then did BOSCH put a symbol or mechanism in place to ensure that users don’t do that mistake? BOSCH expects me to compare the sizes of the burner caps each time I put them back but would not work on designing things better. Well, why? Because BOSCH is a BRAND, a BIG BRAND, that sells stuff at HIGH PRICES, built with PRECISION to work in LABS not homes.

Just now (5/5/21) ended a call with DAVID **, a supervisor with BOSCH customer service who made me realize how empty BOSCH is as a BRAND. How it's an ALL-HAT, NO-CATTLE company. Politeness and courtesy, two of the basics of customer service, they are not even present in BOSCH's customer service supervisors leave aside representatives. He says, I should clean one burner at a time to avoid confusion or the mix-up. Wow! What an idea? And, why should I do that because my time is FREE and he wouldn’t spend discussing paying for the invoice because his time is money!

I’m surprised that BOSCH wouldn’t cover issues that its customer service or referred authorized service providers cannot figure out in just a few seconds considering it’s so trivial and BOSCH must come across such complaints on a day-to-day basis. BOSCH not only has a bad product with hazardous design in market but also has the worst customer service I have experienced till date.

BOSCH’s R&D designs cooktops to cook with precision which means "cook in hours" and its customer service supervisor asks you to clean one burner at a time which means "clean in hours too"! On top of that BOSCH’s marketing team will spam your mailboxes with appliance service plan flyers every couple of week even when BOSCH neither covers the most basic operational issues nor has an efficient team of knowledgeable customer service or technical professionals to address them timely. What a shame!

We bought the TOP of the line SHEM78WH5N dishwasher thinking that it is Bosch what could go wrong? Since day 1, this dishwasher has had the SAME issue, it drains at the beginning on the cycle and then mid cycle ALWAYS gives the same issue “error: cannot drain”. Customer service kept just pushing us until warranty is over and now say, "Sorry we cannot help." Extremely terrible experience for a $2000 dishwasher.

I bought this dishwasher based on customer reviews. I like the washing performance of this dishwasher, and the lighted controls…especially that it tells me how many minutes are left on the chosen cycle and when it is finished. It is also very quiet. There is one thing that frustrates me and that is the design of the lower rack. The tines are placed so that it can accommodate 12 place settings (according to the instruction manual). Few, if any, people have need for this on a daily basis. What is needed for families is capacity for place settings combined with serving bowls, mixing bowls, and cooking utensils. However, the tines are positioned so that this is very difficult and requires running the dishwasher more frequently or doing more hand washing. (My previous dishwasher was much more accommodating of a variety of dishes and pans.)

I wrote a letter to the manufacturer with my concerns and asked if there is an alternative bottom rack. I got a callback but was unavailable. The message was that they would call back. Never happened. I called the number in the instruction book twice, each time the representative said she would have another person call me back...never happened. I thought Bosch was a top of the line brand and expected better service than this. At this point I would never recommend this brand to anyone. Model SHEM63W56N/13.

I have had 2 repair reps at my home to pretty much tell me that this $800 dishwasher to be ran daily to avoid the terrible smell. In all my years of using a dishwasher have I ever had to run it daily. It would only have a few dishes in it. This is a bad design that Bosch is just pushing off on consumers. Beware - don’t buy unless you like a nasty smell In your kitchen.. They don’t care, they say it’s working as designed....

We used the self cleaning feature 1 time on our bottom wall oven. It exploded sending glass everywhere. I called Bosch. They were "shocked" and gave me a company to call to diagnose the problem. I finally heard back about a month and a half later! They were kind enough to tell me they were not going to cover it, even the repair company agreed with us. Horrible customer service!!!

To say I'm beyond irritated is an understatement. For THREE WEEKS I've tried contacting Bosch. I wait on hold for over an hour & submit service requests online, but they clearly don't care. I bought a house with a Bosch refrigerator & we've lived here for less than a year. So far the ice machine is broken & there's an internal fan that sounds like a semi trucks jake brake. I've done troubleshooting on my own with 0 results. At this time I'm reminded why I prefer Whirlpool, LG and Samsung. You don't get what you pay for with Bosch. Go with a more trusted brand.

We own a Wall oven and microwave combo - HBLP751UC. The oven part over the years would just freeze that is none of the controls would work till the breaker was switched on and off. Now the microwave switches are broken and parts are not available for 2-3 weeks or longer. So the whole unit is out of action for that long. When purchasing I should have done my due diligence and checked but these are made in China and I was hoping for German reliability. I could have done much better at a cheaper price. Now I am stuck with this without service from Bosch. When I asked Bosch for service they said they do not have service people in my area and to use someone in the market who is certified. Check if they have service in your area before purchase and also buy a warranty for sure. Sorry I do not have anything positive to say about Bosch appliances.

Sent it back and replaced with a Kitchen Aid. Still not happy as it is new kitchen aid not the one from 15 years ago. Nothing ever dried in the Bosch as they use condensation drying which means no drying element. The heat of the water clinging to the stainless is supposed to dry the dishes. Ran a crazy long time and I tried everything before returning it. Kitchen Aid is marginally better. I have an older unit in a vacation home which runs beautifully not so the new version. Even had a plumber check the water temp to be sure that was not the issue.

The worst dishwasher ever made. My father went through Consumer Reports for the best model of dishwasher to get — the Bosch one was in the top 5. This dishwasher was made for international living not for the American ways of life - busy schedules and raising a family. This dishwasher as with all Bosch dishwashers have a smell that rivals rotting meat. You can’t get rid of the odor it comes back time and time again. It also is extremely difficult to navigate. Dishwashers are to be user friendly. Not hard to figure out. I am not alone in this review. Many others feel the same way.

Bosch 800 44-Decibel Top Control 24-in Built-In Dishwasher. This is my first Bosch dishwasher. It is Super quiet, you know it's running due to the led light that signs on the floor. It seems to clean very well. We use the cascade platinum pods and rinse aid on auto wash. All works fine. The annoying stuff, the power cord is like 8" long so you will have to replace the cord with a six footer unless your outlet is directly behind the unit on lower right hand corner. Salt for the water softener will have to be ordered online and shipped to you.

This is a great dishwasher. Cleans dishes etc very well. One of the things I really like about this dishwasher is that it has a pan beneath it and if the washer leaks the dish catches it and has a sensor/valve that will shut the machine off. I had another model and it leaked and I had to repair the ceiling in my basement. Very well made and designed.

Does a good job cleaning dishes. It's quiet and has plenty of adjustments to accommodate different size dishes, pots and pans. The most annoying thing is starting the washer cycle. You must press the start button for the EXACT length of time or it won't start. Hold it too long (more than about 1.5-2 seconds) it won't start, hold it for less than 1 second, it won't start. Over the past few years I've gotten the timing correct so that it starts about half the time without trying a second or third or fourth time. (Gets very frustrating at times and you feel like punching the damn thing). Also, the door handle trim broke not long after getting this unit. That's annoying but not worth fixing.

I have always thought Bosch as being a company that makes high quality products and I have purchased and used many without issue. However I feel that they have either lowered their quality to make more money or are trying to reach a different type of consumer either way it equals some disappointing details on many of their products. I do find that the stove is very nice and solid and seems to work well so far. Just need to see their products in person. Sometimes when you think it's metal it's actually plastic.

About four years ago, I purchased three Bosch appliances at Best Buy. Oven, microwave and stove top. The microwave does not work properly since the time it was purchased, uneven cooking, takes a long time to heat up or cook food. Bosch technician took a look and said, "That is how it works." Today is the oven and microwave, are not working at all. Bosch repair service is costly, diagnose, parts and repairs. Their soonest appointment to repair them will be in two months. I called different appliance repair services, but they do not work with Bosch appliances. I would not recommend Bosch appliances.

Overall the stove is a good unit. However, cleaning it completely is difficult because it does not allow you to remove the power knobs to perform a complete cleaning. In addition, the heat elements are not consistently on, regardless of what setting you place them on. They will stay on for a short period and then turn off for a few minutes until such time that it feels it should come back on to that setting. The unit is a little pricey, around $800 for a cooktop. There are no frills extras on the unit, very basic in fact. You need to be careful as to what you use to clean the top or surface; very easy to remove the black coating if done with a wrong cleaner.

12 year old double oven needed electronics replaced 6 or 7 years ago. Now two different companies have sent technicians out six or seven times and no one can repair it. Pretty much all electronic boards and touch pads replaced multiple times to no avail. lt resets itself spontaneously for date & time randomly for no reason we can figure out.

What seems to be happening is the following: if we are in a cooking mode, such as sabbath mode, and the date and time resets while the oven is on, it becomes impossible to turn the oven off. When the reset screen is on pushing the off button does not change the display, and appears to do nothing. When the date and time has been reset even though the Sabbath mode is still on, the screen does not show it. Pushing the off button also does not change the display and nothing happens. It seems that we need to reset the date and time first and then turn the same sabbath mode on again and once it is on again then it will shut off.

The odds of this happening during sabbath mode operation is the greatest as that mode is on for 24 hours at a minimum at a time. Although I suppose the clock could reset itself during any cooking mode. This is potentially dangerous as the oven may inadvertently be left on, and I cannot actually determine that it remains at exactly the same temperature and mode it was in before the reset happened. In fact, earlier the oven we just continue to get hotter and hotter heating up the wall around it until we turned off the main circuit breaker. We paid almost $1,000 for service. What do we do now?

This is the first oven I have had in years that holds it temp at the correct one, cleans like a dream and works the way I wish all my appliances worked. The interior is large enough for all of my large roasters which makes it easy to use.

We filled our home with Bosch appliances as part of upgrade to a new home we purchase 13 years ago. First the washer smells really bad if we leave the door closed, then the dryer on/off switch is a hit or miss as it doesn't trigger it. We've had to replace one microwave 3 years ago then the new microwave that we paid over $500, it's plate broke. Can you believe the Heat plate broke in three pieces while heating up a glass of water?! We contacted Bosch who said since the microwave passed the warranty period of one year they would give a 50% discount on a new plate which still ended up costing $85.43. I would not recommend Bosch.

Have Bosch elec oven, & combo microwave/convection oven. Great! The combo oven is so versatile: had them 5 years, some minor probs with regular oven, easily fixed. Was under warranty. Use microwave a lot!

Our Bosch gas stove is possibly the best kitchen appliance we have ever bought. Absolutely love the device that fits in the door when grilling, to ensure the heat can be better regulated. We find the built in electric gas lighter most convenient. This is the first Bosch we have ever had. Will never have another brand again!

Bosch is a reliable and well-known brand. Its operation is quiet, easy to use and easy to clean. Has numerous functions. Oven is spacious. I especially like the ceramic cook top and the warming tray on the bottom.

Excellent stove. I love either the baking or convention option on the stove. Love the fact it is a self cleaning oven with very little clean up afterwards. It is a gas range in my opinion cooks far better than electric ranges. The middle fits a large grill pan.

After buying a top of the line washer dryer for my new house from Bosch official distributor in the united arab emirates, they set up my delivery date after three weeks from my purchase (Which I saw as a bit odd, but I can live with that), I waited three weeks, an additional three days, then I got a call telling me that my washer dryer is out of stock!! After paying for it in cash, and an additional two year warranty, I called them, Bosch middle east, sent emails to bosch global and our local government consumer protection agency, and still No delivery!!!

I bought a brand new refrigerator, but there are parts that I can not install as the manual is not clear about them. So, I thought I will call and ask. No such luck: calls are disconnected, they hung up on me, they say that I have to hang up and they call back - and never do, I can hear them and they do not hear me....I wrote email to their web site, got an automated reply but no call back....I am so frustrated I am thinking of returning the whole thing, because I don't trust the company.

The dishwasher is very quiet and washes well, but after a mere 5 years the plastic recessed handle on the front is cracking and falling out. We are very disappointed. There is only one couple using it and we only run it about twice a week, when it's full. We expected more from Bosch.

Purchased a Bosch 500 dishwasher from Lowe's in June 2020, after a few weeks something in the door broke and door when opened made a pop sound and the door fell completely to the floor! Instead of returning it to Lowe's I pursued calling Bosch warranty services for in home repair. They came and replaced a rope inside the dishwasher that lowered the door. A few weeks later it broke again! Repairman came out, ordered another rope and said he would be back when part came in. Weeks later they returned and repaired it again. A couple weeks later it broke again! Repairman came and said company said to replace the rope with a roller?

A couple weeks later, you guessed it, it broke again! I called Bosch and told them I wanted them to replace the dishwasher that it was ridiculously unusable! I had to wait for them to approve replacement of the dishwasher which was a few more weeks, in fact I had to call them numerous times, each time waiting an hour or more on line, then was asked to email proof of purchase which I did.

Two weeks later still no response, I called again waiting over an hour on line, to be told they didn't see my email, so I made them stay on line while I resent it to them, I said I wanted to speak to management and they said no one was in the building, then I was told I would be transferred to management on the phone. After about an hour on the phone, they found my email and said I needed to wait on management to approve replacement, I said, "I thought you were management," she said yes but it has to be reviewed! To try to shorten this complaint it was back I believe in October when I first called to replace this unit, it is now Jan 21 and I am still waiting. I called them today 1/9/21 and was told there was nothing on my account to update me with.

Purchased B20CS30SNS fridge from Home Depot on March 2020 (in the peak of Pandemic) for my tenants who lives in the apartment. They delivered defect appliance. Tenants did not realize that water dispenser was not functioning well as they never use it before. As a landlord, I was not able to visit during the pandemic till October. I found out that the water is not running from dispenser plus ice are not producing. I contacted Bosch warranty department which took at least 1 hrs to speak. They sent technician in November and End of December. The Fridge is still not working. The valve in the back of the fridge has be to replaced. I'm very upset and frustrating due to slow response. How could this brand new fridge need to replace the parts within 6 months? Very unreliable and handling customer complain unfairly.

I have a washing machine and it has PCB malfunction. The repair technician visited 9 days ago and ordered the parts from Bosch. Since Bosch has monopoly of the repair services, the parts are not available in open market. Hence no one except for the Bosch can repair the machine. Now I have to rely on Bosch to fix the machine at a cost dictated by Bosch. It has already been 15 days my washing machine is not working. When called Bosch customer care, they are totally unaware of the status of the parts delivery. This is going to be my last purchase of a Bosch appliance. Really disappointed and unexpectedly fooled by such a big brand name.

Our experience with Bosch appliances has been mixed but disappointing. First, the first cooktop delivered during a remodel would not function as soon as installed. This resulted in a multi-week delay in the remodel. Next, the microwave failed within a year of installation and then again within another year. We have paid more than $300 in repairs so far. Finally, with regard to business, we were promised a substantial rebate if we installed 3 or more appliances. We installed 4 but have not yet received the rebate. We have been pestering the dealer repeatedly for about 2 years now with no satisfaction. I will never again purchase a Bosch product.

I purchased and installed the Bosch HMB8050/HBL8750 stacked microwave/convection oven and built-in oven pair in 2011. The microwave/convection oven was great in terms of roasting small items and we used it very frequently. That is until the convection part of the oven did not deliver the preset temperature and was making rattling noises. The repair technician determined that it was the drive shaft of the fan is broken causing temperature not distributing properly. We went to all the appliance parts suppliers and could not find the part as it has been discontinued. I also contacted Bosch directly, after being re-directed to 3 or 4 different numbers and confusion with the part number, they said no part was available.

We tried to replace the microwave/convection oven with another Bosch but the model is discontinued. New models are now all flushed with the cabinets which means my existing cabinet has to be rebuilt and will look out of place with the existing built-in oven. Found a different make microwave/convection oven ($700) that may fits in the existing cut out but discovered that the Bosch microwave/convection oven and built-in oven shared the same power source!! The Bosch representative recommended replacing the complete system!!! So, because of a $180 part that Bosch discontinued will require me to take out a working microwave AND a perfectly working built-in oven and put in another Bosch $5,000 to $7, 000 combination oven in?? NO WAY! Will I buy another Bosch again? NO WAY! It is absolutely ridiculous to discontinue a part barely 10 years after a product in the market. Shame on Bosch.

I appreciate that Bosch has very high ratings. We may just be the unlucky ones to get faulty appliances, but our experience has been quite the opposite of high ratings. We remodeled our kitchen 5 years ago. We bought all Bosch appliances: refrigerator, built-in oven, induction stove top, microwave, dishwasher. About a year ago (so the appliances were 4 years old), the oven started overheating when we tried to clean the oven or have it on a high bake temperature for more than a few minutes. The oven would shut off and there was an error message on the panel that indicated overheating. We had it checked by the local authorized dealer and made several calls to Bosch. In essence, we were told that it is overheating--that's all! Well, we knew that. This has been going on for a year, and we haven't received any solution from phone calls or visits.

A few days ago, we tried to clean it again because something spilled in the bottom of the oven. It again overheated and shut down. Today, we were having people over for brunch. We set the oven to "Bake" with the temp at 400, and put the bacon in. We went back to check the bacon when it should have been done, and the oven and bacon were stone cold! We assumed we had not turned it on properly, so we again hit "bake", set the temp to 400, and hit "enter". Again, nothing. Our oven is completely dead, and it is just slightly older than 5 years! The oven panel displays all the right settings as if it is heating, but the oven remains cold. Again, with the rave reviews Bosch gets, we expected the oven to last more than 4 years before starting to have problems. As a matter of fact, with the price we paid, along with the reviews, we frankly thought that the oven would outlast us!

Now for the refrigerator. Our self-defrost and icemaker have been malfunctioning. Again we called the local authorized dealer/repairmen, who came to look at it. He identified the problem and ordered a part to fix it. That was 4 months ago, and the part to fix it has yet to be shipped to the local dealer/repairmen. So although the problem was identified in August, it is now December and still no solution to our refrigerator. My husband has made several phone calls both to Bosch and to the local number, but to no avail. As you can see, I cannot in good conscience, recommend Bosch appliances to anyone. As a matter of fact, I would highly recommend not to go with Bosch. We have to replace our oven and probably our refrigerator, and we will absolutely not choose Bosch!

Hi, On December 2, while I was self-cleaning my oven, the glass shattered. I paid extra for an extended warranty. I contacted Bill Smith Appliances where I bought the range. I also sent an email to Bosch customer services. Yesterday, 7 days later, someone from Bill Smith came out to determine the cause of the glass shatter. He indicated that it was a fault of Bosch manufacturing and the quality of the glass that was used. Today, when we called Bill Smith, they indicated that the repair had to be approved by Bosch and then the part would be ordered.

According to them, it could take an additional 2 weeks before the oven was repaired. This is unacceptable! I have already been without my oven for 1 week, so if it takes 2 more weeks, I will not have my oven working for a total of 3 weeks! At this time of the year, this is extremely inconvenient because I cannot do any of my regular Holiday baking. I also tried contact Bosch. This is a nightmare! I have called them at least 20 time. The call does not go thru and I get a busy signal. Absolutely, no one answers the phone! I really don't think there even is a person available to answer!

Bosch is considered to be a premium appliance brand. However, and this range is not quality and does not meet Bosch’s reputation and the price associated with it. This glass should NEVER have shattered, especially on the first time the oven was cleaned! My expectation is that the oven could be cleaned many times and survived with the glass intact. In addition, the service to repair has too much red tape and is extremely slow resulting in great inconvenience to the customer! Please speed this repair up, so that my oven will be repaired in a few days, not 2 more weeks! This is the Holiday Season. An oven is an essential appliance! Best regards, Cindy **.

We are currently in our 3rd year with our current Bosch Oven. The fist oven was damaged internally in shipment and had to be replaced. The second oven was installed and never worked. The third worked for 2 1/2 years after which the cooktop stopped functioning. The repair estimate was $ 800.00 to $ 1500.00. When we call Bosch it appears they are focused on the dishwasher recall ....

After 2h 45mins on the phone and talking to 10(!) separate people with Wayfair and Bosch trying to get the dishwasher I ordered last Wednesday, that was supposed to arrive on Friday, that I then had to call to find out why it wasn't delivered on Friday, only to be told it was on a truck and could be delivered Sat, but Sat didn't work for us so the next available date was today (Wednesday - 5 days late), only for them to now tell me (after having to call back to find out why I hadn't heard anything about delivery), that there is no dishwasher until at best (!) early November!!

I am APPALLED at the customer service from both Wayfair and Bosch in not stepping up to solve THEIR problem. When I called Bosch directly, they told me they couldn't talk to me and that I had to call Wayfair back (yet again). Complete runaround. Ultimately I was told that I should just cancel my order and order something else (like this was my fault!) without any offer to resolve the issue. And finally after 10 people, I still have no real sense if Bosch actually has any dishwashers in stock anywhere. While I wanted a Bosch based on reviews for quality, I'm not planning on making ANY future orders. If I could give 0 stars I would. A complete waste of time and effort! STAY AWAY!!

After examining the reviews on this site, coupled with my own experience, I suspect today’s Bosch products are not the quality they once were. We were satisfied with two prior Bosch dishwashers, however, two years ago we purchased an expensive new Bosch dishwasher to replace an aging one. After being gone for several weeks, we returned to find our dishwasher inoperable. Calling customer service was a frustrating experience as they could not send a certified repairman for almost a month...that’s a lot of dirty dishes. They then referred us to a local repairman who could visit a week later...perhaps they have too many repairs to perform? Today I was informed that I face a $400 repair on an expensive two-year-old machine… Inexcusable. I would not recommend a Bosch dishwasher in the future.

My experience has been sooo baddd with Bosch customer service. So, we build our home and one my friend recommend me to get Bosch Appliances so I did. I order my kitchen appliances with bosch back in May. I didn't received my appliances in July so I couldn't do closing on time due to not having my appliances and get inspection done before I moved to my new home. Which I was like okay due to Covid I understand. Here is the worst part. So the day I closed on my home and start using my appliance. Happen to find out that my Microwave and my dishwasher is not working. Brand new out of box. So I called bosch customer service in July the day after I closed on my new house and explained them the both appliances are not working.

I was given a number to call for service repair which I did and they told me 3 weeks wait for them to come out due to COVID which again I was okay no problem. It's COVID. Understandable. They came to my house after 3 weeks and told me that they have to order part for microwave and suggested me to call bosch customer to replace it because it would make more sense since he visited cost $1246 this time and next time would be about same and told me that if he doesn't hear back from bosch he will be back in 3 weeks again. So I called Bosch back and explain the whole thing. I was told they made ticket (wrong ticket where they combined microwave and dishwasher) and the rep told me they send the ticket to management to review and will send the replacement.

I called after 2 weeks AGAIN and the rep told me that they didn't proper format from the service company so I make three way call and explain them that bosch need special format for exchange. Service provider send it to bosch and bosch rep was like, "Yup got it." Since bosch didn't reach out to me or the company the service guy came and said he have to order another part and will be back 2 weeks again. This visit was again $1246. So I called bosch again and find out what's going on and went through the same thing report format is not acceptable by management company.

At this point, we paid $2800 for service and I bought this microwave around $1800.00. Didn't understand why bosch didn't see that because he will back again and will cost another $1200.00 so at this point we paid double than what microwave cost. So I called again a week later is same story. They don't have the proper format from the service provider. So here I am stuck with microwave because I can return it anymore since my purchase month was in May and here I am still waiting for bosch management to review in End Of August. The worst customer service ever. I called them more than 10 times since July to August and stayed on the phone for more than 2 hours going around and around. Every time I called my phone timed was more than 2 hours.

After spending $1,700 on the initial unit, an extended warranty, multiple repairmen visits and two magnetrons, our 14-month-old Bosch microwave caught on fire and is now deemed irreparable. Extended warranty people say we have to collect from Bosch. Bosch says we have to collect from extended warranty. Getting the run around from them both. We had this microwave installed for just over one year when we remodeled our kitchen, including creating a custom built-in location for this microwave. We now have a giant hole in our kitchen island and have been fighting with Bosch and the warranty people for months.

Thankfully this diabolical machine didn't catch our entire house on fire. But nonetheless this product is a HUGE safety hazard and it should be pulled off the market (and poor suckers like those of us who purchased this machine should be compensated). We have filed a complaint with the Texas Attorney General and asked to be included in a Class Action lawsuit that was recently filed. Protect your home and family -- do not buy a drawer microwave from Bosch!!

Purchased our Bosch Dishwasher in January 2020 and now, 6 1/2 months later it needs repair. Contacted Bosch Customer service to have an approved company come in for repairs and was given three "local" contacts. One did not service my area. The other told me it would take 4 weeks for someone to come out and service our dishwasher. I notified customer service of this poor response but was told that they could nothing do about this. They blamed it on Covid. Called my Bosch authorized dealer, who is not a Bosch authorized repair service, but who installed my dishwasher and they were able to put me on the schedule within 24 hours. The drawback: I got to pay and my warranty is no longer in effect. So warning to all: Bosch does not take care of their customers and their attitude towards their customers was borderline rude, extremely dismissive and smug. An all-around horrible experience.

Don't Buy The Cook-Top... Not Safe! Unless you want to burn down your house! We purchased all Bosch Appliances for our new home we build. Thought we could count on the name's reputation... but we were wrong. We had problems with the Cook-top almost from the start. But it took about 3 years for the burners to go out of control. You can turn it on and put it on 2... but it will go full bore and act like it's on 9. This is unsafe... we had something on the Cook-top and when we heard the smoke alarm go off in a short time... we came back to a burned-up pot. Instead of keeping it warm... it almost burned up our house. On another burner... you can put it on 5 and expect it to come up to temperature gradually... but come back in an hour... and it has never even gotten warm.

This is a very UNSAFE and UNRELIABLE product... I wouldn't trust it in my house. I will definitely purchase something else to replace it and not look into Bosch ever again. They don't stand behind their products even in safety issues. They should have recalled this item... but instead, it's going to cost us as much as buying a new one to repair. Unacceptable... Bosch offered us 50% off of the parts... which still comes to more than I can buy a new one for. Never Again.

Horrible situation with Bosch. My oven has been broken now for 8 months. My Bosch oven is 2 yrs old. I’ve paid almost $600 in failed repairs through a Bosch recommended repair company. Bosch offered me a new oven at a $250 cost to me. I think I’ve paid enough. I wrote to the company’s president.. no response. So disappointing.

Bosch Customer Service and Product disappointment! In June of 2017, in anticipation of our upcoming kitchen remodel we purchased a Bosch 800 Series 30” Dual Fuel Slide-in Range. Product HD18054U/C. As is often the case in remodels, there was a delay and the project wasn’t started until January 2018. The range was delivered on Feb. 27, 2018 and installed about ten days later. We experienced minor trouble when the keypad started randomly beeping. This happened within a year (early 2019) but we were told that we should unplug the stove, wait a bit, and plug it in again. This seemed to work for a time. We had several episodes but it was not a big problem to follow the “unplug” advice.

The problem became significantly worse in March of this year, 2020, beeping at all hours of the day and night. We knew it would be expensive to repair it but finally called a service provider in May. I was charged a service call and the serviceman said he would order the new control panel, but added that I should contact customer service to ask if Bosch would help with the almost $800 cost that I incurred.

After two calls and several replies/scans of documents to customer service, I anticipated a positive response. I was never told to WAIT to have the part replaced until I heard back from customer service. I did hear back on June 22nd. I was told that Bosch would do NOTHING. No compensation was offered. My claim was denied. I feel it is very unfair. It certainly seemed as though the “rules” changed during the game after I did everything I was asked to do, submitted all of the paperwork, etc. I am extremely disappointed in the range and in Bosch Customer Service.

I purchased all new Bosch kitchen appliances four years ago, in 2016. We bought them because we felt they were high quality, and I certainly expected them to last. It should be noted that our dishwasher is the only appliance we have not had problems with yet. As for our gas range, I have had to have the ignitor replaced twice already. This is obviously a defect in the product, and Bosch did absolutely nothing to stand behind their product, because it was out of the one year warranty. Not only that, the two customer service people I dealt with (one of whom was the manager) were rude and were enough to convince me NEVER to buy Bosch again. These are not worth the price, and they are not made to last.

We called the technical support for an appointment, but they had to cancel two times because apparently the technician was in an accident. After numerous calls another appointment has been offered but no technician showed up. At this point no manager called us back to remediate the situation. The fan is still broken and we can’t reach anyone. Do not buy Thermador.

I have a fully equipped kitchen of brand new Bosch appliances. I started using them in April of 2019. In early November of that year, a small part on the lower freezer drawer broke off. This is the main freezer. I called Bosch service directly to schedule the repair. I was told that they contract their service out and that they only had two service companies in the entire San Diego county area, a HUGE area. Only one of these service companies was willing to come out and take look. The serviceman came out but did not have the part needed. He ordered it from Bosch. I heard nothing for 3 months.

When I called Bosch in February 2020, still no part available. Now May, I called again and was told that the part was still not available and was “probably” coming from China and in fact may be discontinued altogether. I was told there was nothing they could do and that they will TRY and call IF it comes in. Wow. Beware! Choose appliances that have better service available and customer care in place.

The platforms that the feet of the cast iron grates sit on are ridiculously small and unstable. Causing the grate to slide off the platform and toward the center of the cooktop and then any pot on top of the cooktop to also be unstable. Worst cooktop design I have ever seen. This is a simple and very basic function. I cannot believe this would be an issue. Very unsafe and unsettling. Wish I could upload a photo!

This Bosch front loader is the quietest washing machine that I have ever owned. Unlike my previous front loader, it doesn't vibrate when it spins, it seems perfectly balanced. I also like the option of being able to use it as a dryer. Compared with separate driers, it is small, so I only recommend it as an occasional dryer. The wash/drier option is a real space saver, if you don't have enough space for two separate items.

Nice dishwasher but horrible customer service from Bosch. Kept getting E24 message, after only having dishwasher a few months. Called Bosch, no service available for about three weeks from BOSCH. Was told there were authorized subcontractors and was given several numbers. Most of them did not even service my area. Called Bosch and informed them. Even spoke to a supervisor who gave me additional numbers that were not valid. Once again the dishwasher is under warranty but Bosch customer service was very poor. In the end I was able to fix the problem myself.

The shorter cycles on the machine is what I use most, the more grime the more time' for washing. I have had big top loader machines all along when our 4 children were growing up but now with mainly 2 to 4 adults and some times the grandbabies it's perfect.

A friend recommended the brand, I had people say they weren't happy with the front loaders. I decided to pay for the expensive machine, but spare parts expensive. We broke the latch on the door and a new one was $400.00.That was a shock. My son made a high frame to it on for ease of access. No bending for me which is great and a must.

The machine has no load size setting. It's a front loader so it has to be propped open or it stinks. The brand is Bosch. I inherited it. I will never own a front loader again. The time it takes to wash a load is long.

Wonderful Machine. Much superior to the Bosch Axxis we replaced. Cleaner clothes, easier navigation, more program options (temperature, rinses, prewash) compact, quiet! Hope it lasts longer. Very satisfied. Highly recommend it.

Insane awesome dishwasher! It so quiet they had to put a red light shining to the floor so you know it’s running! It has 3 racks one for silverware and two for larger pans. I purchased the one with crystal wash which had lava rock pellets in it so you you don’t use heat coils to dry your dishes. They come out spot free with finish dishwashing pods and finish liquid (recommend by the manufacturer). I love it???? It's energy efficient more than any dishwasher on the market I think. It cost more but saves you in water and electricity. I recommend it!

I have been a longtime owner of Bosch appliances in every home we own with no issues in the past 20 years. I down sized and moved into a new home. I decided to change out the refrigerator first. I love the new refrigerator with French doors and one big drawer below. Upon delivery my appliance was DOA. It tripped the dedicated breaker in the garage. We plugged it into other outlets in the kitchen to check to see if it was the outlet. They took it away, the rep was very arrogant saying that it was a problem with our electric in our new home. The distributor asked if we could have an electrician check out. The electrician said that we would need to something that he can not and would not do for us. We needed to put an old style non-ARC breaker in for that dedicated outlet.

The retailer brought it back on Tuesday the following week after my husband installed a Non-ARC required by code breaker. It works. So we needed to break the electrical code to keep this appliance. The electrician said that their refrigerator and DW's have that issue. In the country they are made, they do not replicate the electrical supply with breakers like we have in the US for testing and this problem is known by the reps, distributors, and the company. I would love to see them do something about it. We have an electrical code for a reason. ARC's have been required since about 2013 or so. You would think they would have corrected this by now. All of my other homes were not new- last three so it was not an issue with the breakers. You choose.

Love the washer and all of its features. A design error resulted in cracked plastic control plate that they replaced once, to only crack again. Reliability is very good and we are very happy with this machine.

My Bosch electrical stove’s glass surface has broken in 11th month after buying it. The Service told me that is end-user fault and guarantee does not involve the glass (which is the half price of stove). If you do not planning to use your stove buy a Bosch :), otherwise you will keep paying to Service each year I guess.

I purchased a $1500.00 Bosch Stove HEIP054C-01 5 years ago. Within a year I had to have the panel replaced with the Stove knobs on it because the burner markings and high to low settings decals/markings had worn off. Now after 4 years these markings have worn off again. I feel that this is a fire hazard as it’s difficult to tell which burner I am turning on and often get the wrong one. I called Bosch and they said that they don’t have replacement decals like a lot of other appliance companies and that it would cost $500.00 to replace the whole panel again.

I am truly disappointed that they don’t have a cheaper, easier fix. I will not be replacing the panel as it is too expensive. When I bought the stove I also bought a Bosch microwave, fridge and dishwasher. I can honestly say that I won’t be buying Bosch again for my next appliances. They are beautiful but really not great for Value for money and replacement parts which shouldn’t be needed after only 4 years are extremely expensive. Please stay away from this model and save yourself some headaches.

If you are buying a Bosch appliance, regardless of the product itself, you have to know that the US customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with. I have been trying unsuccessfully to remove two shelves from my fridge to clean them. Customer Service people you get are so rude and not knowledgeable! No technical support whatsoever!

I have now been without a refrigerator for 4 weeks - during a worldwide health crisis. This Bosch refrigerator has NOT WORKED SINCE INSTALL. I have had the warranty company service 4 times. Still not working. Now I am trying to get replacement from Bosch and they say, "We are waiting on supervisor approval." I have been unable to get supervisor on the phone. Will NEVER purchase from Bosch again.

Cleans well and is very quiet, doesn't dry the dishes as well as our old dishwasher no matter the detergent or brand of rinse aid used. The dishwasher was on sale but original price was $600 and I think for the performance it should have been in the $400 group of dishwashers.

Our Bosch is perfectly silent while it washes. It reliably does a very good job of cleaning everything. Our only disappointment is that a spring mechanism came loose in the door causing it to flop down.

Super quiet. It is so quiet that that sometimes I must look for the small red light that shines on the floor when the machine is running. I can see if it is on or off from across the room! The top (third) rack for silverware is a handy feature.

Works like a dishwasher should! No rinsing before loading dishes. It's so quiet, I forget it's running. Exterior is very sleek. The capacity is unbelievable. It will hold all dinner dishes, serving dishes, pots/pans for at least 2 full meals for 4 people...and then some. It cleans my stainless cookware to a perfect shine. So glad I went with Bosch.

Nice and quiet. But without a heater, you must open the door when washing cycle finishes and there is steam coming out, so be careful. It requires Finish Jet-Dry for drying - so we wash every glass again before drinking out of it.

Bosch dishwashers with a STAINLESS STEEL tub are very quiet and most times you have to physically go look to see if it is running. It has always left the dishes sparkling clean. Having owned an appliance repair business I always recommend Bosch to my friends.

I knew Bosch was a top brand for dishwashers. The operation buttons are only visible when door is open. I like that it has various running times to use. First time I used the dishwasher, I thought it was not working but it was. It was just that quiet I will always buy Bosch. Maybe a few extra dollars but well worth it.

I have a very small dishwasher because of my space. This model is the latest model and works really well. I like the fact that there is a separate cutlery section. I am satisfied with the performance. Dishes are cleaned well if the temperature is high. The bottom and top rack don't fit tall dishes. So I would prefer a bigger dishwasher.

Bosch right now seems to be working for the dishwasher and it seems to do well for the cleaning, but sometimes they don't get all of the food off the dishes so I have to rewash them. The Bosch dishwasher is very quiet. I don't care for the slanted pins for separating items. I love the third rack for silverware. It doesn't have water heating.

My new Bosch dishwasher is simply the best I’ve ever had. The fact that it looks nice in my kitchen makes it nice, but the way the loading space is utilized makes it the best. I no longer have to worry about glasses or cups knocking together due to the deep ridges in that area. The size of the appliance is carefully organized to hold a large load easily. Good washer.. overall.... but was very surprised I am forced to put the blue rinse fluid in it or it will not operate. The pegs that hold the dishes are oddly spaced on the bottom rack and have little flexibility and it is often hard to put dishes and pans in there. Also frustrating to have 2 removable silver trays.. replaced it with one large one. Wish there was one for the top rack instead as the problems with the bottom rack leave it with fewer items.

This is one of the items that exemplifies the saying, you get what you pay for. I could never bring myself to pay more than $400 to $450 for a dishwasher. When we remodeled our kitchen, we decided to research and upgrade to higher end appliances. The Bosch was highly rated. It's so quiet, we have to make a serious effort to hear if it's running when we are standing right next to it. Looks great and appears very well made.

I really am happy that my dishwasher heats the water from cold water then uses it, also not having a hot heating element inside to ruin your plastics is key, that is the real difference to me. The looks are sleek as others and cycles are pretty much the same. This one is very quiet, my kitchen is same area as family room and no problem with watching tv or listening to music or conversations. I'd would buy same brand again.
