Bosch does not support their company's dishwashers after they are purchased. Dishwasher parts that have not been in stock for three months, on a back order, indiscriminately cancelled by the company since the part is on backorder too long. No notification to buyer. Bosch Company (Manufacturer), Part Distributors, Warranty Contractors all cannot obtain or direction on needed parts.

I purchased a Bosch refrigerator approximately 2 years ago. I was thrilled; it was beautiful, the interior design outstanding, I loved it. Shortly thereafter I began to have reservations and concerns, as I noticed the interior temperature, especially in the freezer. not being consistent. It edged towards a disaster after I began communicating my concerns with customer service. I was shuffled around from one service representative after another. Wait time for a service call was out of reach --- had to wait a long time----and in the meantime I lost freezers full of food. When a technician finally was scheduled the first thing he intimated was that it was my fault; I "probably leave the freezer and refrigerator door open; I was not closing the doors." From that point it was off to the races.

The icemaker stopped working and ultimately after many contacts with customer service the icemaker was finally replaced. The problems escalated for another year and the final blow was the compressor completely stopped working. A new one would cost $2000.00. At that point I filed a complaint with the company and then ultimately a complaint with the US Government. I sent photos and other documentation as evidence of these ignored issues for this very expensive refrigerator.

I requested a replacement, after all of this. I received a very curt phone call from a company representative who had a long laundry list of things I would need to do---and the first order of business was for me to keep the refrigerator and after several weeks and someone would come a "take a look" to which I said "Where will I keep my food if I have an appliance sitting in my kitchen that is inoperable?" Silence. I had reached the end of my quest and concerns and at that point, I had already had the Bosch removed and had purchased a refrigerator that worked. Bosch is shameful in all ways; their customer service insults one's intelligence; and that awful, inoperable expensive piece of refrigeration should have been replaced.

Stackable washer and dryer. The dryer is absolutely horrible. Its censors that are supposed to be detecting dryness of clothes do not work and my dryer shuts off every 5 mins and won't stop beeping. The beep alert works just fine though to let you know that your clothes are still not dry.

I just purchased a Bosch 500 series dishwasher from Costco.ca online. Costco was fabulous and the delivery and take away were amazing. I bought the German model as I wanted a built in water softener, which is only on the German models. As that was my biggest concern I didn't see much difference between the models but to get the water softener I had to buy one that had wifi. I assumed that you could just use the dishwasher without it. I was wrong. You have to set it up through an app, which I didn't want and THERE ARE PROGRAMS THAT YOU CANNOT ACCESS UNLESS YOU DO IT FROM THE APP. You cannot run a rinse, glass setting or delicate.

The app is confusing and has far too much on it. I absolutely hate it. I had to call the tech department to turn the thing on and change settings. Who in their right mind wants to "remotely" turn on their DW. Your household insurance would be invalidated if there was a problem. I tried sending Bosch this review and they sent it back. Apparently they only want glowing reviews.

The mounting bracket in my Bosch refrigerator’s freezer broke after about 10 months. After I reported it to the warranty department I’ve had to make numerous phone calls to Bosch and the repair service to whom they referred me. The parts were supposedly on backorder. It’s been over two months now and it is still unresolved. They keep telling me they’ve escalated it to a manager, but to no avail. I haven’t been able to make ice for over two months and now I just wait.

I've had Bosch appliances in the past & they were good. I think they're now living on their earlier reputation. But my Bosch stove (from 20 yrs ago) needed a repair early on & I found the touch controls consisted of a computer board attached with CHEAP DOUBLE SIDED TAPE that had failed due to heat. How cheap is that?!? My new dishwasher is probably the WORST major appliance I've ever owned. A month old & it just doesn't work. It seems to be a true lemon. Soap pods won't dissolve, residue on dishes, dishes just not clean, won't dry properly & error lights after EVERY CYCLE. I haven't yet called for service (giving the machine the benefit of the doubt), but I really shouldn't have to after ONE month...

Review of Bosch Appliances and Customer Service. Bosch continues to deliver disappointing customer service, and at this point I’m thoroughly unimpressed with the company. I originally bought a very expensive Bosch refrigerator that broke after only three years, and Bosch offered no help or support. Recently, I tried to reorder some broken fridge trays, and the experience was equally frustrating.

The Bosch parts website is extremely outdated—no photos, no dimensions, and no clear way to tell which tray is the correct size. As a result, I ended up ordering the wrong tray. When I called customer service (because that’s the only option), I waited on hold for a long time, only to have the representative send me another incorrect tray. Now I’m back on the phone again, trying to return two wrong trays. On top of that, there’s a long delay just to get an authorization number, and I’m still waiting for the FedEx return label. Altogether, the process feels slow, old-fashioned, and unnecessarily complicated. Based on these repeated experiences, I would not purchase anything from Bosch again.

I originally ordered a Bosch cooktop and downdraft units at Lowes. After 2 delivery dates were missed, I cancelled that order and ordered directly from Bosch's website. After the advertised delivery date was not met, I started calling Bosch once a week for 3 more weeks. I was never given a date when the product would be delivered when I called. Each time I spoke with a representative, who told me they contacted the shipping center and were not given a date when the units would be shipped. So, after the third phone call (each time having lengthy waiting times to speak with someone), I cancelled my order. On the next business day, I noticed my credit card had been charged for the order. When I called back a fourth time, I was told that the unit was out for delivery and I would need to refuse delivery before I could get a credit. Bosch may make a good product but their customer service is the pits!

Spent $2,700.00 on a brand new Bosch in-wall electric oven just short of 2 years ago. About a month ago, and just prior to Thanksgiving I might add, go to turn on the oven light, get a blue spark, burnt electronics smell and oven goes out. Turns out the control panel and all electronics shorted out, connections blown, etc. My 2-year old oven needs to be replaced and of course, out of warranty. So, after padding their pockets with $2,700.00, I get to go buy another oven. You are warned if you buy Bosch. BTW, I'd rate this piece of junk lower if I could; one star was the lowest option.

I purchased a Bosch electric range from Home Depot on April 9, 2025, as part of a larger kitchen order that totaled more than $50,000. The range wasn’t delivered until June 21. At delivery, everything appeared fine. A few days later, when we turned on the oven for the first time, a strong gas smell filled the room and light smoke came out of the unit. Once it cooled, we discovered the interior finish was flaking off. I called Home Depot immediately. Despite the size of my order and the fact that the oven was clearly defective, they wouldn’t lift a finger. They pushed me straight to Bosch and washed their hands of the issue. That was the first serious warning sign. Bosch eventually sent a technician several weeks later. On July 24, he confirmed it was a factory defect, documented everything, and told me Bosch would process the claim within a week. Instead, on August 11, Bosch emailed asking for proof of purchase I had already provided. I sent it again.

It is now December 2. I’ve spent months calling Bosch for updates. I get nothing but excuses, delays, and empty assurances about replacement timelines. Meanwhile, my family couldn’t use our new kitchen for Thanksgiving and likely won’t be able to use it for Christmas either. Here’s what I’ve learned: Home Depot offers virtually no support once they have your money. My $50K order meant nothing to them when a major appliance arrived defective. Bosch’s customer service is equally disappointing. Slow, inconsistent, and unresponsive. Months later, I still do not have a functioning oven. This entire experience has been infuriating and unacceptable. I would strongly caution anyone against purchasing a major appliance from Home Depot or Bosch unless you’re prepared to navigate a long, frustrating, and completely avoidable ordeal.

I live in a gated community with 74 homes, about five years old now. A Bosch microwave oven combination was installed in the homes. I have had two control panels replaced and now have about $1000 in repairs invested. I made an inquiry on our community Facebook page and it seems there are about seven homes that have had expensive repairs to the microwaves (this is with my post up only 24 hours). If Bosch is looking at their parts data, they can see that these units are breaking down all too often. It should be noted that this is basically a retirement community so these products have very light usage.

My 3 year old fridge started breaking down while I was breastfeeding (so I had nowhere to store my breast milk). While I had a newborn, I had to repeatedly defrost the fridge and empty all contents for diagnosis/repair. Such a nightmare. It all started when a plastic piece fell of the top of the door panel (caused by closing the door). The mechanic said this was unrelated to subsequent issues. Then ice began building up on top of the fridge and the electrical components failed. Then months later, the same thing happened with the freezer. Despite replacing electrical components in both parts, the fridge is still not working. We get an error message every night at 2 am that the temperature is too high. This wakes us from sleep. We have been trying to repair this fridge for 2.5 yrs. It only had a 1 yr warranty. What a piece of garbage. Apparently it was custom installed and cost many thousands of dollars.

I absolutely hate my BOSCH DISHWASHER!!!! We built a house in 2020, I bought a Bosch SHP865ZP5N model. It cleans well, it has started leaving some black spots on my dishes from time to time. But the real culprit is the smell. It will just about knock you down when you open the door. I've read that this is a common problem with the 800 series. I think it is a failure in the design, there's always standing water where the filter is. I took out an extended warranty, which has proved to be worthless!

I've contacted customer service; they don't cover smelly dishwashers! I had a video chat with a Bosch tech, he talked like a tech would come out, but that never happened. I had always heard great reviews about Bosch, which is why I bought my dishwasher. I'm so disappointed in the dishwasher, but more disappointed in the company that they don't stay behind their products! All I can say is "BUYER BEWARE"!! I gave it one star only because I had to be able to publish my review!

Now back to the same behavior. Today I tried the self cleaning function and it doesn’t work. I went online to find the manual and it is not available for my model. Our gas range the burner tops suck. To get them in the right position to burn and ignite properly is like trying balance a marble on top of a marble on top of a smooth surface. Our last gas range had slots and tabs. I never once turned on a burner and didn’t have it ignite or burn cleanly. When the burner cap is misaligned and you turn the burner to simmer the flame can go out. This isn’t real safe!

We bought this slide in Bosch stove and have had nothing but one issue after another, but mainly with the oven simply not coming in. After bringing in electricians to double check everything, we resolved some issues. The stove continues to not ignite however and we utilize our fuse box to turn it on and off. In 63 years of utilizing many products, I have never had the issues that this stove presents. There is no help available through Bosch and you can forget contacting with serial numbers as they are impossible to read.

This appliance should be taken off the market as it is defective and useless as a stove. The issues we’ve had with not being consistent with heating, cleaning, touching the oven, and having it constantly not even ignite have been so numerous that we just accept this product is defective and poorly manufactured. It is the most defective appliance we have ever had to deal with and it is only 5 years old.

It is a gas slide-in stove in the HDIPO or HD180 family but getting that information from manuals is impossible. Trying to read the info on the slide-out drawer is also impossible. Obviously, we will never purchase any Bosch product and if people are looking at these products, I would highly recommend that you get all the info from. Whomever you purchase as to how or who to contact when there is a problem.

I never post bad reviews on social media but I'm at a point now where I have no idea what else to do. We bought a Bosch dishwasher exactly one year ago. It stopped working from the control panel on the dishwasher in July, but we could still control from our phone. After contacting support, they told us to disable the feature on our phone to reboot it back to the control panel on the dishwasher. We did this and it did not fix the issue. Appliance support came a week later to try and repair or resolve the situation only to conclude that a "new part" needed to be ordered and they would be back in a week to replace.

Two weeks later with no response we had to contact (many) different people at Bosch to find out that the part had not been ordered yet and was back ordered. 6 weeks later the part arrived and when they came to fix it, surprise, it did not work. Not only did it not fix the problem, but as the dishwasher was a panel-ready dishwasher, they had to take apart my kitchen in the process. The dishwasher was only TEN MONTHS old when it broke and now we've been two months without. There is still no solution and it's impossible to get an answer from anyone in the company without a run-around. We need a replacement immediately as it cannot be fixed. We purchased a Bosch as we were told it was the best. This is absolutely unacceptable. A brand new dishwasher should last much longer than 10 months. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

⭐ Extremely Disappointed — Unprofessional Service, Poor Workmanship, and Zero Accountability. I am writing this review after months of frustration and disappointment with this company’s service and customer care. About five months ago, I contacted this company to repair my dishwasher, which had an issue with the door. A technician came, supposedly fixed the problem, and I paid around $400–$500 for the repair on the same day.

However, less than four weeks later, the exact same problem reappeared. I immediately called the company to report that the repair had failed and scheduled another appointment. When the technician called me on the day of the appointment, he told me he did not have the part, even though I had clearly explained when scheduling that it was the same issue and same part.

What’s worse, the technician mentioned that he knew the previous repairman and that the first repair had been done incorrectly — only one side of the mechanism was fixed instead of both, which is why it broke again. He told me they would call me back to reschedule once they had the part. No one called. After two weeks of waiting, I called again — they still didn’t have the part. I called again later — now they claimed to have it, so another appointment was scheduled. On the day of that appointment, the technician called me to say that the part had been given to someone else, so he couldn’t come. Since then, it has been months of endless phone calls — I’ve been calling two to three times every week — and every time, I hear a different excuse:

“We need to email the supervisor.”
    “We’ll call you back.”
    “The part isn’t available.”

“The technician will contact you soon.”

No one ever calls back. No one takes responsibility. And nothing ever gets fixed. At this point, it has been five months since the initial repair, which failed almost immediately, and I am still left with a broken dishwasher. I have paid hundreds of dollars for a repair that was never properly completed, and despite repeatedly asking for a refund, no one from the company has responded or followed up.

This level of negligence, lack of professionalism, and total disregard for the customer is unacceptable. The workmanship was poor, the technicians were unprepared, and the customer service has been nothing short of atrocious. Frankly, it feels as though the company took my money and walked away, leaving me with the same broken appliance and no accountability whatsoever. For a company that claims to be reputable and reliable, this experience has been the complete opposite — disorganized, careless, and disrespectful to the customer. I expect immediate resolution — either a proper repair at no additional cost or a full refund for the failed service. Anything less would confirm that this company simply does not stand behind its work.

Refrigerator: Bosch® 800 Series 36 in. 20.5 Cu. Ft. Stainless Steel Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator. Model#: B36CL81ENG. There is a design/manufacturing issue and Bosch in all their wisdom is refusing to take accountability and stand behind their product.

    1. Purchased the refrigerator early Q2/2023.

    2. Late Q3/2025, after pouring milk over a bowl of cereal, while closing the refrigerator, the door hit a spoon in a cereal bowl. To our surprise, the glass panel on the door shattered. See attached picture.

    3. Called the appliance retailer and Bosch with the problem for resolution and shared the pictures.

    4. Bosch offered to send out a tech to 'see what happened'.

    5. On the day of service:
    a. The tech looks at the situation and asks me 'What do you want to do about it?"
    b. My answer.. "Fix it!"
    c. Tech gives me an estimate of slightly under $1,000 to replace the door. The refrigerator retails for just over $5,000. Essentially is costs ~20% of a new refrigerator to replace just the right door.

    d. I politely showed the tech the front door and sent him on his way.

    6. The appliance retailer offered to talk to the Bosch service rep to see of they could assist.
    7. 2 weeks later, the rep says that Bosch cannot assist, as the refrigerator is out of the 1 yr warranty period.
    8. Appliance retailer reminded the Bosch rep that even if the refrigerator were under warranty, the door panel would not be covered as it is not a mechanical equipment failure.

    9. Bosch rep: Sorry.. Can't help.

I believe this is a design/manufacturing issue as the glass panel is not mounted in a way to be strong enough for normal use. In my opinion hitting a spoon in a cereal bowl, should not cause $1,000 of damage/repair. So my choices at this point are:
    1. Pay to have the door replaced at my expense or

    2. Hit the other door with a spoon and get it to shatter. At a minimum, I would have a set of shattered glass doors.

Replace the entire downdraft unit – a cost of around $3,000 just because a single component can't be sourced. This is incredibly frustrating and unacceptable for a premium brand. A company like Bosch should support its products with spare parts for a reasonable period. Forcing customers to replace an entire system over a discontinued motor is both wasteful and costly. Bottom line: I will never buy another Bosch product again, and I’d strongly caution others to consider long-term serviceability before investing in their appliances.

Works well. 1 Star- Customer Service 1. 0 Stars- Integrity and Honest company (warranty is false written in paperwork). 26 June 2025 dishwasher stopped mid-cycle as it would not drain. Auto shut off (good feature) as to prevent leaking. Repairman stated inside tub was rusted through and RUST THROUGH in TUB is under LIFETIME warranty. Contacted Bosch via phone and then sent a detailed email with pics from repairman, receipt of purchase, model numbers and diagnosis from repairman (ALL the information they requested). I received a case number and was told there would be follow up.

NO FOLLOW UP. I contacted 3-5 business days later via phone. Was informed I needed to contact an 'authorized service provider' and was sent an email with 3 different repair places. Contacted the first one on the list Bosch provided. Mr Appliance of East Texas came to the house, took pictures, stated the tub was rusted through, it is under warranty and they would submit pictures to Bosch.

No response from Bosch for an additional week. I contacted Bosch and they stated that Mr Appliance was not an approved service provider. I referred to the email BOSCH sent to me stating Mr Appliance was who THEY recommended. Bosch stated that they were mistaken and Mr Appliance was now approved and they could move forward. Stated they were waiting for Mr Appliance to send pics.

I contacted Mr Appliance and they RE-SENT their diagnosis to Bosch. After another 5 business days, and no contact from Bosch, I contacted them for the status on my warranty issues. I was told they would PRO RATE a new dishwasher as ours was out of date. Warranty states exact or better dishwasher to be replaced. NOTHING in warranty about pro-rating. Denied the prorating and told them to re evaluate as that is an option. Since 26 June 2025 (It is now 23 Aug 2025) I have received 4 different case numbers and NO resolution. Contacted via phone 22 Aug 2025 and was told would receive a phone call by the end of the day. NO CONTACT. This is AWFUL customer service and the paperwork defining warranty is FRAUDULENT.

The new ones also began to fall apart within the next two years, so I started using clear Gorilla tape rather than replacing the trays again. About a six months ago, the icemaker started producing less ice and then several weeks ago stopped producing ice altogether. Turns out, the water inlet valve was leaking and the floor and wall behind the refrigerator were damaged. Guess what? They don't make the part or the refrigerator anymore. What will they do for me? Give me a discount on a new refrigerator. I can understand discontinuing a model, but not making the parts so that customers need to buy a new one after seven years? Ridiculous. What a scam!

The technician they recommended told us that the rubber piece tore off simply due to the opening and closing of the door. A few weeks ago, the exact same thing happened. This must be due to a manufacturing defect or design flaw.

We have contacted Bosch by phone several times and were consistently told that our appliance was out of warranty even though this is recurring problem. We were also consistently told someone would call back- no one ever did. I emailed the CEO of BSH Home Appliance in California who did respond and forwarded my email to the head of Customer Service. We bought a BOSCH dishwasher one year ago (July 17, 2024) and two days later it developed a crack in the front control panel. A repair technician was scheduled and replaced the control panel. One year later, the same crack occurred (exact location). I contacted BOSCH and they are stating because it's cosmetic, it's only covered by a 30-day warranty. BOSCH knows they have an issue with this part as many have posted the same occurrence with their new dishwashers. BOSCH should've replaced this part with a re-designed part (better material or structural design knowing the issue exists). My acquaintances recommended this brand for its quality and reliability.

I can understand after many years of use, that this may occur but this happened TWICE in less than one year. You can get off the hook by saying it's a 'cosmetic issue' but as I said the first replacement part should have been more robust. What happens if this crack gets worse and starts pulling on the control panel electrical board and causes issues. This is totally NOT ACCEPTABLE. How does a manufacturer not care to protect the integrity of their product?

After escalating this, I was sent: "Following a thorough review of the information you provided concerning the unit and case **, and in line with the warranty terms and conditions, we regret to inform you that your unit is no longer eligible for coverage under Bosch’s cosmetic warranty. As such, we are unable to cover the cost of the repair or supply parts under warranty at this time, decision is final. However, we can provide some help in finding a technician in the area you are located that will be able to provide the necessary assistance in order to repair your appliance." This response from BOSCH management, using the phase, "Decision is final" and that they could provide help in locating a technician in my area is very insulting. We will be looking elsewhere in the future for a company who supports its products and their dependability.

Ice Maker: Replaced three times and now scheduled for a fourth service – this indicates a clear and recurring failure.
Freezer Compartment: The secondary door has failed and now needs repair.

Door Alert: The door-ajar alarm does not function reliably, sometimes taking several minutes to sound—posing food safety risks.
Smart Feature: Has never worked, and Bosch has offered no solution or fix. (Other smart appliances in my home function properly.)
Interior Freezing: Items placed toward the rear of the refrigerator freeze. I was advised not to place items near the back wall, which significantly reduces the usable space—again, not acceptable for a refrigerator at this price point.
Freezer Reliability: The freezer has failed, defrosting food completely, only to later resume operation after I had transferred items to another freezer.
Popping noise: Continues to make a loud popping noise from Ice Maker.

I purchased an 800 series Bosch refrigerator in 2018. Most consumers purchase high-end appliances with the thought that this will translate to reliability and durability. The refrigerator would not cool appropriately and eventually the freezer became riddled with frost. The sensor was replaced by a technician 4 years later... The refrigerator constantly had alarms with problems with icing, thawing and freezing. Again, I called a technician who stated the controller board had failed. I emailed Bosch to determine if this was a known issue. Of course, they responded with nothing but self-praise for their products... However, upon reviewing other reviews, this was a known issue with this model. The technician called Bosch to order the replacement part, to which they responded they no longer made. The refrigerator was only 6 years old.

I called customer service who is more aptly the Bosch Defensive line, and were anything but helpful. They reported they had no responsibility to make part more than 7 years after production of the model. I reminded her that the fridge was only 6 years old. I did expect the "high-end" refrigerator to last longer than 6 years. She was not inspired to help but stated I could send a list of information she provided and see what customer service decided. I continued to received the same email repeatedly asking for the same information I had already sent, but repeatedly re-sent the information. It has been a month. In the meantime, I am using the smaller Samsung refrigerator I purchased on sale the same day I purchased the Bosch. Ironically, I have not had any problems with this refrigerator.

My disappointment is that when purchasing a reportedly high-end refrigerator, it only lasted 6 years, less than any refrigerator I have ever owned. The terrible customer service and apparent lack of accountability for a part that had repeated problems that Bosch stopped making only a few years after making the model, likely because of the poor performance. There was no attempt to help the customer and no attempt to accept responsibility for their poor technical performance. In my opinion, Bosch should get out of the refrigerator business and focus on the products they do well.

The other had a service date two weeks out. Bosch had no other suggestions and basically said that "you are on your own". Had I known that there was no local support, I would not have purchased this brand.

I have an entire kitchen of Bosch appliances. They are 4 years old. I spent the money on the Bosch extended warranty for all of these appliances. I’ve had to repair my refrigerator and that was OK but I currently have a non-working oven, since April 1. They took 3 weeks to send out a repair person who actually replaced something but didn’t test it, so you can imagine my surprise when, with 12 people over for Easter dinner, I couldn’t cook the ham I purchased.

I called again on April 21 and was given an appointment on May 15. RIDICULOUS! I have contacted the warranty department AND Bosch Appliances, and the warranty area says they are waiting for approval from Bosch for me to use a different repair company and Bosch just says they can’t help. That the extended warranty department is different from them. Bottom line, I WILL NEVER PURCHASE A BOSCH APPLIANCE AGAIN IN MY LIFETIME. Looking at the ratings on this site, I can see that many people feel the same way. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

I purchased the dishwasher at Lowe's and when I received it it had a different basket on the bottom and a totally different rack. Do I looked online and it showed it just like the store one but mine had a basket in the middle row. And the pegs were facing the other way. Also it had a handle upfront. Maybe it was an updated model I don't know, but the FD number after the/was different than in the store. So I exchanged the rack, which Lowe's was nice enough to do. The clerk tried to order me a rack online but was unable to find the the same one with skinny baskets you can put on the side. I like the way it cleans without rinsing but you have to use heavy cycle for it.

Normal sometimes does not get stubborn stuff of from the microwave. Also the drying cycle doesn't dry all my cups on top it leaves some moisture on there. Maybe the extra dry will have to be activated. But if you have big mugs I can adjust the pegs on the top rack to make them fit. Also it doesn't automatically start up again after I try to add a dish after it's running, you have to push start again. But it's very quiet to the point, I have to check if it's done or still running. Great product for the price..

I will never buy a Bosch appliance again in light of the horrendous performance and customer service we are experiencing with our Bosch dryer. The dryer is less than a year old and stopped working in mid-February. We called for a service appointment and were told the earliest they could come was March 11. On the morning of March 11, they called and canceled, offering another appointment two weeks later. They have now scheduled and canceled FOUR appointments, always canceling on the day they are supposed to arrive, so I have missed four days of work waiting for technicians who haven’t showed up.

In the meantime, they gave us a list of local repair places that are authorized to service Bosch appliances. Only one of the places on the list was still in business and willing to work on an appliance under warranty. They came in mid-March and said that it’s an easy repair but requires a part from Bosch. They ordered the part but have not received it six weeks later. In summary, I have a brand-new dryer that hasn’t worked for two and a half months and cannot get any assistance from Bosch customer service. Avoid this company at all costs.

Since then it has cracked and replaced 2 more times in that first year and is currently cracked again.

I bought the dishwasher on 02/16/2023 and it's just over 2 years now and it's not working. I contacted my warranty company and they sent out a tech to fix but the tech realized he needed parts from Bosch. I contacted Bosch and submitted what they requested which was the receipt for proof of purchase, the model and serial # along with the Tech report of what was diagnosed. They responded that I would need one of their techs to verify what my tech came up with. I wanted to know if I would have to pay this additional tech to confirm my techs info. They did not respond to my email however I got voice mails to contact them.

I spoke to a girl who understood what I needed and she stated her supervisor would contact me in one day. I received no call. I called them two days later to find out what happened to my parts. They tell me I have to use their tech people and that they would send me a list of these people in my area. They never sent the list. I have had other dishwashers in my life and never had them conk out on me ever. We also purchased the 5 year extended warranty and have not had any problem since with the electronics. I have noticed some rusting from the racks and it continually got worse to the point where it rusted completely through in places on all three racks. By the time it had done this, my warranty had ended.

I called Bosch thinking maybe they might be able to help since this should not happen in this time period. I asked them how long they expected their dishwasher, on the average should last, and the representative told me 9 years. I then told her, "Don't you expect the internal components to last as long." She went on about the heat the unit put out, etc. I was told that the best they could do was give me 10% off the racks if I bought them through Bosch. By the way, this was the 2nd customer service agent I went through after I asked the first to speak to her supervisor and she stated she was the only one on duty and I would have to deal with her. Poor customer service! I purchase new Bosch OEM racks from another vendor for a lot cheaper than Bosch was offering them. Never again Bosch!!!!

After spending $7800 we immediately had problems with the refrigerator...freezer leaking and the icemaker not working. By my count we have had at least 8 service calls and all major parts replaced for the icemaker in three years, not including so many calls with Bosch Customer Service, when I could get them to answer and only got delays and delays It's always the same...It's out of warranty, they won't return calls for months, over and over again. Besides being made in China, from the part numbers it looks like Bosch may not even make their own icemaker. I will also say I was really disappointed in the products. Stainless as it dents very easily...a sign of very poor quality.

Overall, in my opinion you will be making a big mistake if you purchase any Bosch appliance. Sometimes things happen, but in my view this company does not stand behind their products and to make it worse, they dismisses the customer. I believe you will regret dealing with this Company or a dealer that would sell their products. The dealer is another story. I still not have a reliable, working icemaker.

We had great difficulty with our condo remodel in Florida and I was unable to use the cards in time before they expired. I tried to use them many times; however, I was unaware that purchases had to be right at the rebate amount on the card or under. I was under the assumption (never assume I guess) that the card would take off the rebate amount on the card and then I could use my second card to complete my purchase.

While I do like Bosch appliances (I have three Bosch dishwashers in different condos & home), I am extremely disappointed in their rebate policies and how to even get the cards. It really wasn't worth the hassle and I am now out $275 in useless rebate cards. I will NEVER do this again. I will go with another appliance company that gives money off right away or rebate cards that either don't expire or not as difficult to use. It's too bad, because I do really like the Bosch dishwashers as they are very quiet, but they are also more expensive. Then things started falling apart, the screen was acting awry, the probe wasn't working, etc. so I called Bosch and they sent someone 3 weeks later to look at it - he said unless I can replicate problem, there's nothing I can do for it and I should take a video when the problem happens net time. A few months later, I received a offer for extended Bosch warranty for $1300 for the next 8 years. I bought it, but then after a few months, my oven broke again, This time, I tried to set an appointment with Bosch like last time, and they told me I now have to call the 'extended warranty dept'. So I've tried calling them.

After I'm on hold for about 40 minutes, the 'warranty dept' told me it's Bosch's fault, not their fault because they are a 'third party' warranty dept. and I should call Bosch again - so I tried and waited for another 45 mins for the Bosch guy telling me I have to call the warranty dept. again. I've been getting jerked around like this forever. Finally on January 31, 2025, I got hold of Bosch dept., who set the appointment for 3 weeks in advance.

I called Bosch, 45 mins on hold, to point me to the warranty dept., 50 mins on hold, whose pointing me back to Bosch. Purchased all 4 appliance for kitchen. Refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave. (5/03/22). Within the first month needed repairs. The refrigerator to this date has had 5 repairs. The entire computer system of the refrigerator has been changed out. The ice maker twice. Temperature issues. And countless other things. Not to mention the food loss every time we had to throw away the contents of the refrigerator. The dishwasher has had to have the hose replaced, which is a major part of the dishwashing process. Known for their dishwashers. I wasn't expecting this within the first few months of having it. The stove has now had three repairs to the warming drawer with the exact same part being defected. Currently, the microwave which I was not able to purchase an extended warranty on is now emanating a burning smell and making a strange noise. It smells like an electrical fire that's about to catch.

When a Bosch technician was here to fix the stove warming drawer yet again a few weeks ago, he couldn't find anything wrong with the microwave but did say he also smelled the burning. Told me to keep using it. Not likely when it smells like an electrical fire. I'm not burning my house down. So I called ABT which is where we purchased all four of these items from. Had to pay a service technician $189 to come look at it. Now they are ordering parts because they figured out what was wrong with it. That's going to cost almost $400 for parts not including labor.

At this point a new microwave should just be purchased. But we've already paid for the technician to come out and look at it and order the parts. So just waiting for them to arrive and have them installed. Not sure how much the labor will cost at this point. Called Bosch once again because I've had several conversations with Bosch at this point over the past 2 years with the four appliances purchased. Zero of these products have had any recalls. I can't imagine I'm the only consumer to have problems with these products. I've always purchased Bosch dishwashers in the past and haven't had a problem. Heard nothing but what a quality brand Bosch was. So we invested to purchase Bosch products for our new kitchen for our new house. What a mistake. It's been nothing but taking time off work to be here for the technicians to come. Spending money each time. Technician had to come out. And for parts. Extended warranties.

I am a completely unsatisfied customer. And they do not care. It's completely unacceptable and I will never purchase another Bosch item again. I'm telling everyone I know about the problems we have had and they are definitely not buying any Bosch products. All 4 appliances had and are still having issues. All purchased at the same time 2 years 8 months ago. That's unacceptable. Absolute garbage products.

Had replacement part installed by Pacific sales installers at my expense on 9/9/2024. Two months later the part fell off again striking my wife (75) in the leg. Contacted Bosch inquiring about a permanent solution to the problem. They said their repairman’s visit would charge approximately $170 to come to the house plus $20 for every 6 minutes that he would be there. Bosch never responded to my request for a permanent fix to this problem.

I purchased built-in refrigerator from Bosch Home which costs more than the cheapest car available in the US, used for a month and the freezer stopped working. Warranty repair request has been filed in September, it's been over two months and it still has not been repaired. Bosch says it's due to parts availability, although I've been told numerous times that parts were arriving on this specific days which apparently were not true.

I even requested to speak with someone who could explain this whole situation, and the answer was “there is not such a person.” This time of the year, having expensive refrigerator with no freezer, it is unacceptable. I ended up purchasing another freezer just to get by the holiday season. I hope Bosch would come up with reasonable solution, soon.

We own a Bosch "speed oven" which is a combination microwave and convection oven/broiler. We've owned this for approximately 6 years. The unit is built into the cabinet right above our wall oven. My experience is that when used as a microwave, it is very slow and requires much longer cooking times than other microwaves I've used - 50% longer is typical (aka if normal heating time is 2 minutes, this oven will need 3 minutes or more).

Also, a couple of minor annoying features, when the time expires the oven "dings" to let you know. But opening the door to either check the status or remove the item does NOT reset the oven. It will continue to ding until it is manually "cleared". Also, you cannot add more time and restart the oven until it is manually reset. To use the 'defrost' function requires several key touches (select function, select meat type, enter the weight of the meat, then touch start). Only 3 item types are listed (meat pieces, poultry pieces, ground meat), only .5lbs or more is allowed. When the defrost cycle is over, if you need to run another cycle, you must enter all those keys again - there needs to be a 'repeat' button. Overall, I would say the performance is disappointing especially for the price of Bosch appliances.

My mom and I had a disappointing experience with Bosch, a brand that we once trusted. She purchased a stove that was defective from the start, with two non-functioning burners. Customer service was difficult to reach and unhelpful, with employees offering little support, passing you around without resolving the issue. After a technician deemed the stove irreparable and submitted the documentation, Bosch claimed they never received it, until a manger confirmed that they had but then failed to follow through with promises to escalate the matter. Two days after speaking to a manager, no one has contacted her. It's been over a month, and she’s concerned they may try to avoid replacing the stove that she paid full price for and leaving her without a functioning stove as Thanksgiving nears. I am deeply frustrated by the poor handling of the situation.

Needless to say, neither my mom nor I will be purchasing Bosch products in the future. I’m writing this review to warn others to think twice before buying from this brand, as resolving any issues seems nearly impossible. If anything goes wrong, getting support is extremely difficult, and that is simply unacceptable. I will continue to escalate the issue and report it to a consumer protection agencies if needed in hopes of eventually getting it resolved, but it’s been almost two months since the stove was delivered.

Bosch products are good. Customer Service is another story. On October 18, 2024 we had a service because our 5 year old dishwasher start button was depressed and non-functional. Their service person had the part but didn’t replace it and just fixed the button. Within a week it broke again. On November 8th he didn’t have the part after informing the service department we wanted to part replaced. The service department went as far as telling us how much the part would cost. When we called back we were then scheduled for November 19 and told we would only have to pay for the part. When the same guy arrived he charged us the labor and the part. The service department supported him in charging us the labor after 2 people told us we would not be charged labor. Beware if you are in North Miami, FL. It is the same technician for the area. After 5 years of pressing the button the same way, we are now being told we are pressing too hard.

On 9/7/24, our Bosch induction range made a "pop" and smelled of burning and smoke came out vent just below the cooktop. Contacted Customer Service and they said it was a safety concern so told us not to use. They would contact a service company on Monday to schedule service call which we would not have to pay for because of the "safety" issue. As of the writing of this review, which is on October 16, 2024, we still do not have our range fixed. In dealing with Customer Service, we were sent to 4 different service companies. Each one would tell us that we were outside of their service area. After a few weeks of this, and us making calls to Bosch repeatedly and follow up with service companies, we received a box with some parts in it from Bosch.

Now mind you, no one has even looked at the range prior to these parts being sent to us as we still did not have a company that would make a service call. Finally, after some negotiating on my part, we were able to get a service call schedule. The service company came out and changed some parts and said that one of the parts was incorrect so the cooktop could not be fixed. Now after 10 days since the service company came out, we are no better off than we were on September 7th. The service company will not do anything about the correct part unless they hear from Bosch and Bosch has done nothing.

We have not been able to reach anyone in leadership to try and resolve this issue and just keep talking to a different customer service rep every time we call. We purchased a suite of Bosch appliances when we remodeled and have recommended Bosch to so many people but never again. We have never experienced such horrible customer service in our entire purchasing history. I would not recommend purchasing any Bosch appliance and this experience makes me sick to my stomach to be treated so poorly when we spent our hard-earned money on a higher end Bosch appliance.

She provided me with a list of authorized repair companies. The product user's manual, page 39, states that "The EmotionLight" is on when the door is open irrespective of whether the On/Off switch is switched on or off. When the door is closed, the “EmotionLight” is off. You can switch the “EmotionLight” on or off.

After several attempts, at least 5 days from Mr. Appliance, to diagnose, replace the Control Board, replace the Operating Module, and the final attempt to replace the “EmotionLight”, as indicated in the invoice repair notes, the Bosch technician told Mr. Appliance technician one thing, and the user manual said another. Mr. Appliance technician told me that the Bosch technician said that the “EmotionLight” will only come on when the On/Off button is pressed.

On 9/24/2024, I emailed Bosch support (Customer-Support@bshg.com) with all the required repair invoices, a letter describing my issues and requesting to resolve my warranty claim, that I should be compensated with a rebate check of $200 for my time and inconvenience for the numerous unsuccessful repair attempts to fix the issue with the “EmotionLight”, and to make me whole again. No one from Bosch responded to my request either via email or by phone.

On 10/11/2024, I spoke with Stacy W. (the Manager) to confirm receipt of my email. She told me she is unable to send me a rebate check of $200 because it is not Bosch's policy to send rebate checks. I asked her why I didn't receive an email from them with their decision and she said it wasn't Bosch's policy to email me with their decision. I feel I should be compensated monetarily with a rebate check for my time and inconvenience.

For those going into home ownership, or looking to stock a functional home, their warranty policy only covering the original purchaser means that any place with a Bosch product is a trap for them to continue selling products that break down well under the time they're meant to last. It took numerous calls to customer service to talk to anyone who could make a decision. A number of calls were dropped while waiting or being transferred. The last time the tech charged me $560 and said he had to collect money even though he did not repair the appliance. This has been going on since July and I was supposed to have my 4th service visit today.

Today Bosch cancelled the visit and rescheduled the visit to 9/26/2024. That is going on 4 months with a broken appliance that I have already paid the service fee for. I have called Bosch customer service here in the US multiple times to complain, and my last call was today. The answer I get from Bosch is that it is "too bad and "just the way it is". I write to warn anyone contemplating purchasing a Bosch dishwasher that, from my experience, whatever type of company Bosch may have been, it is not that company today. In October, 2023, I bought a MODEL 800 S (SHX78B75UC) for $1,509 (including tax and delivery charge). I paid $429 for have it installed. The machine worked well until February, 2024 (4 months) when it began to leave 5% of the food on the dishes. The performance worsened until by April, it was leaving 50% residue. I emailed Bosch asking for assistance and received a response that was one of indifference, certainly not concern. I was advised to run a dishwasher cleaner (dismissive advice and certainly no help) and to try to find a repairman. That was the response from what I’d thought was a high-level company regarding a new $1,500 dishwasher.

I finally got an appointment for a technician to visit on June 20. The talented and able young man arrived on time and spent over 4 hours disassembling the machine and diagnosing a malfunctioning motor. He ordered the replacement part and returned on June 27, spending another four hours disassembling the machine and inserting the new motor. The machine worked well for two washes and then began giving E31 error codes. I contacted the repair person and scheduled yet another visit, this one for July 10. The technician again disassembled the machine and addressed the error code problem in yet another 4 hour event.

At this point, we’ve not had the use of the machine for 1.5 months and it has worked for only 4 months out of the 8 we’ve had it. The machine worked for a couple of washes, and on July 21, again gave error code E21 (not two weeks after the last repair. It is clear to me as I’m sure it would be clear to the reader that my machine is cursed. If, after 12 solid hours of work by a person I am certain is as talented and able as anyone might be with regard to (much over-engineered and over-complicated) Bosch dishwashers, the machine still fails, my machine is cursed. Yesterday, July 24, I asked Bosch to replace my machine, given the foregoing history. Their response was to schedule yet another 4 hour kitchen disassembly event. I infer that Bosch hopes to continue in this fashion until the one year warranty period expires.

I’ve come to realize that we live in a “customer be damned” consumer world and that the treatment I am receiving from Bosch is that of a “customer be damned” company functioning in that “customer be damned” world. I point out to you that this world is one that Bosch, and other once great firms, have worked hard to create. I want Bosch to replace my machine and cover the cost of installation or to refund my $1,509 plus $429 installation cost. I suggest that anyone contemplating buying an appliance today think really, really hard about keeping what you have. Things made today are but shadows of what appliances once were. I close warning you that Bosch, whatever type of company it may once have been, is not that company anymore.

My old dishwasher from a different manufacturer broke. I had already spent two weeks without one and trying to get through the busy routine as a working parent. I did my research and saw great reviews about Bosch appliances. I purchased a Bosch dishwasher and thought – nothing can go wrong. Someone installed it and ran a cycle to ensure everything worked correctly, but he could not interrupt it to start a new one. We looked everywhere in the manual and had no luck. We pushed every button, and the cycle would continue from where it stopped. There was no apparent way to restart a new cycle.

We called Bosch customer support and were on hold for nearly thirty minutes. We were finally able to speak to an extremely rude attendant. We were already dealing with the stress of being unable to use our new appliance, and the false idea that everything would be perfect immediately kicked in. The customer representative showed zero empathy toward our situation and replied to our questions arrogantly. She told us that interrupting a cycle was unsuitable for the appliance, which seemed outrageous. In all the years of owning this kitchenaid, I have always been able to stop a cycle and choose a different one.

After this interaction, all the good reviews about Bosh being the top dishwasher brand had no meaning to us. If I am going to invest my money, I’d instead give it to a company that has trained and capacitated personnel who are kind and helpful. I am highly disappointed, and I hope management realizes that being the top brand and offering sophisticated products is insufficient to maintain customer loyalty. If you want your clients to spread the word of mouth and tell their friends about how good of a brand you offer, you must train your staff to treat customers with empathy and proficiency. Otherwise, you will continue to lose customers and stop many others from purchasing any. The date of the call was 6/23/24, around 2:45 pm Eastern time.

We called the Bosch customer service line and they gave us the names of 2 companies in my area that would assist. One company was no longer in business so we called the other. After 4 days someone came and said it would take 4 weeks to get the part they thought might fix the problem but no guarantees. At this point I want to return this dishwasher and get another brand. I bought a Bosch dishwasher online and when it arrived Feb. 23, it didn't work. It took until mid-March to get a repairperson out who said the whole electrical panel needed replacement and they didn't have the parts. I didn't buy a re-built machine and I don't believe I should have to accept that so I asked for a new replacement. Bosch does not have anyone who will speak directly to you, so after going back and forth through reception for a few weeks, I was told I was denied replacement - no explanation given. But, since they couldn't find the parts, they later offered 6 months extra warranty.

At this point, two months had already gone by and it looked like this dishwasher was not going to get repaired for a while. So, I insisted on getting my money back. After a lot more back and forth, finally getting a person via email, and a complaint to the BBB, I eventually got my money back. It took 3 1/2 months to resolve. I have bought Bosch dishwashers before and believed they were a good product, but I would never buy one again. The quality has diminished and their service is appalling and disrespectful. The worst after-sales experience I ever had in any of the products I owned. My front load washing machine had an issue and I called at the online service number to register the issue and the contact person said that, "We will get a call in 24 hours." It never happened and we called again and told the call representative about the Issue ticket number. He checked and said will get an update in next 24 hours. It didn’t happen and he now said he is escalating and will get an update soon...

No calls for next 24 hours. (Now see the total 3 days went by without any service person contacting us). Now we called again and this time he had given a service guy’s number and asked if we can directly contact him... We did as our laundry piled up without this necessary appliance being faulty for 4 days... He said he would check and respond the availability and never called back.

Again we called the service number and told the call representative that the problem is not even acknowledged by a technical guy yet and we are frustrated seeing this irresponsible nature of ticket resolution. That guy has transferred the call to a senior person (not sure if we could trust this) and he said he would take this on priority. I have clearly told that we won’t be available on Saturday as I already had a different plan for the day... Now on the Friday a technical service person called and said he can come on Saturday and that too only in the evening. We said we won’t be home. Now we lost all hope and trust dealing with the poorest customer service ever in our life. (No one responsible, No one accountable and maybe no one even exists in reality.) Out of necessity, we called a third-party service provider and they fixed the issue in a day... Thanks that the product is good and there is real solutions to issues.

But it obviously does not fit flush with the oven door above it when pushed all the way in. I had a Bosch repairman come to fix it. As soon as he saw it he said "Yeah, that's just how they are. Three years ago, we purchased a high-end Bosch microwave, expecting top quality and service. Recently, it began short-circuiting and tripped our circuit breaker. We contacted Bosch, and they sent a technician after ten days. He incorrectly claimed there was no power, overlooking that the appliance was causing the issue, and charged us $272 without resolving the problem. Our electrician confirmed the short was within the microwave, not our home's wiring. A local appliance company later found three defective parts in the microwave—a surprising discovery for a three-year-old appliance.

We sought reimbursement from Bosch for the ineffective service and defective appliance. After multiple follow-ups, Bosch called us to say "We have made a decision. We will not reimburse you. Our decision is final." Their lack of concern for our customer experience, including the fact that we did not have a functioning microwave for weeks, and their refusal to acknowledge their faults was incredibly frustrating. Contrasting this with our experience with Miele: Their quality is top, their customer service is flawless, they demonstrate care and respect for their customers. Very different company compared to Bosch.

After much research and consideration, we decided to invest in what we believed to be a top-quality appliance, Bosch's $2,000 benchmark dishwasher, touted as the best dishwasher one could possibly buy. Our excitement quickly turned to frustration when, within just 30 days of purchase, the dishwasher ceased to clean dishes on the bottom rack effectively. Promptly reaching out to Bosch for assistance, we were hopeful for a swift and satisfactory resolution. A technician was sent to our home, who then proceeded to suggest that the issue stemmed from our misuse of the appliance, advising us to "properly" load the dishwasher and to use the "correct" soap.

It was disappointing and somewhat insulting, as we had already been diligent in following the manufacturer's recommendations, even going so far as to watch instructional videos prior to use. When the initial advice failed to rectify the issue, the technician returned, ran several tests, but was unable to diagnose the problem. Parts were ordered, and we were assured that the repairs would be completed in a couple of weeks. However, nearly two months have passed, and we've been informed that the parts are on backorder with an undetermined arrival date. Throughout this ordeal, we sought a replacement appliance, only to be met with difficult technical support and no viable solution to our predicament.

The level of customer service has been deeply unsatisfactory, especially considering the significant investment made in what we assumed would be a high-quality, reliable product. I am sharing this experience to caution potential buyers. It was our belief that purchasing a more expensive, supposedly superior product from Bosch would ensure a long-lasting, problem-free experience. Unfortunately, this has not been the case. This was and has been my only Bosch appliance thus far, and I have not had any problem with it. This stove was a game changer because I dislike electric top stoves. I love the dual functions of having a gas top and a convection electric oven. I use the gas burners less than the electric oven. With a family of 5, I have used the stove so much in the last 8 years and no problems, thank God.

I love my Bosch and will now get a matching refrigerator, and hope not to be disappointed! The second failure was the main control board, which happened after the first year of operation and prior to the range being in service 2 years. Bosch’s less than stellar warranty did not cover the control panel failure and we were forced to pay $450 to have it replaced.

The latest failure we experienced is the oven igniter. I could replace the igniter but why deal with yet another problem with this product that it should not be experiencing so soon. After multiple calls to Bosch service support personnel (note that they are all nice but essentially powerless to make decisions and never return phone calls), we requested the range be replaced. After many calls back, they denied the replacement and instead offered us a proration (essentially a rebate on their estimated prorated value of our range) toward purchase of the identical model. We were told that someone from Bosch’s “Appliance Replacement Team” would be in touch with us in about 3 days to arrange our discounted purchase and delivery of the same model.

After more than two weeks, we received an emailed offer letter asking us for $589 plus taxes to replace our range. Note that the offer did not include installation nor haul away (estimated $300) of our inoperative oven. We quickly decided not to accept the offer and will be moving forward with a different manufacturer. If the goal of Bosch service team management is to drive customers away with poor and slow service (oven inoperative for over 3 months), they have accomplished that with us. And as the rest of our Bosch appliances wear out (or fail), we will be switching to another brand that is made in the USA with a much better warranty.

I own a Bosch French refrigerator 800 series. What a waste of money. For the price of this refrigerator it is made incredibly poorly. For example, in order to close the refrigerator on the right side there is this attachment that more or less rotates its snaps in order to keep the door closed. After less than six months, this piece broke and had to be replaced. I could not go through Bosch itself as it had no service in my area and they wanted to direct me to another service under them. Instead, I went to the company I purchased it from and they sent one of their technicians and replaced that part. Two weeks later the same issue is occurring.

It is obvious to me that this is a poorly made part that just cannot handle the constant opening and closing of a refrigerator. On top of this, there is an issue in the top portion of the refrigerator. On the bottom portion of it there is a drawer that is the worst plastic I’ve ever seen and does not fit and does not line up and cannot be taken out to be cleaned because it doesn’t go back incorrectly. For the thousands of dollars I spent I have serious buyer's remorse.

Overall I am less than pleased with my Bosch French door refrigerator. Mostly has to do with cleaning. There is no way to get the glass atop the crisper drawers out to clean it without breaking the tabs that hold it in. So within the first 6 months I had to break the tabs because stuff can leak underneath it. Gross. Just got off the phone with 2 different customer reps. There is a ledge on the crisper drawers that is semi sealed so junk can accumulate in this space and there is no way to clean it. Customer service very unhelpful saying if it's not in the manual. They could not advise how to clean it. Also the filter cartridge for the ice maker's cover broke off when changing the ice filter. I will never buy a Bosch refrigerator again.

The second call, about a year later, resulted in them ASSIGNING me a service date when my wife was due to have surgery-again, I was able to make the repair on my own. For both of those repairs, what I really needed was to speak to someone who could easily tell me how to service the product. No parts were needed, just someone who I could speak with.

Now I have a real problem that requires service. The on-line manual does not even show the error E-15 that showed up on the panel. When I entered the product name and the error message on-line, I got the message that there was water in the system that is due to clog. Ok, now at least I know how to clean the filter, and check for a simple clog, but the error message continues. Now I am waiting for a call back from the service company, but am very unhappy with the attitude of the company.

Updated on 3/2/2024: Our rating would be -5. One star as we cannot give less. September 28 2023 we called in for our Bosch refrigerator. A service call of $219.00 was charged. The tech identified that the ice cube maker had to be replaced and the control PC board as well. Possible cost of $ 1200.00. We paid and he left. 1 month later no news, no written estimate, no follow up from customer service. After multiple attempts with infinite patience trying to talk to someone we finally called another service tech. Our problem was fixed same day. The thermostat was defective and replaced. Bosch service told us that parts were on order. Feb. 2024 still waiting for some answers from Bosch service. A real Joke. This is what incompetence associated with disorganization can provide. This is called Bosch.

Original review: We believed that customer care with Bosch was up to the Quality expected. WRONG. If you call be patient. At least an hour on the phone to speak with a rep. The technician finally came. Took some pictures of labels. Established that the PC Board and the ice maker has to be change. (Oct.6) Approx.. Cost $1200.00 and cashed $335.00. Never received a quote conf. Not a call back to advise when parts will come. 3 months later no calls no parts. We called a local appliance tech. service. Have a Bosch wall oven that is a few years old. It had stopped heating properly and called a service tech to come and assess the issue. Upon arrival and diagnosing the issue, the tech found that the baking element had somehow welded to the oven frame. For an element to weld it has to be somewhere greater than 900 C. It took me almost 5 months for bosch to look into the matter, during which time I responded to around 5 different demands for info (most of which I had already provided). The service was appalling and their reaction to the oven that could have burned down a house, was that it shouldn't have happened. Further to this, they then offered 11% off of a new $4,000 oven. This oven was defective and dangerous - most ovens have a 550 F maximum and this oven went somewhere above 900 C (or roughly 1700 F) and all bosch said was it shouldn't have happened. They took no responsibility.

I wanted a replacement and for them to take back the old oven and figure out why it went so out of control, but they didn't react and refused to determine the issue. I generally expect good things from bosch, however, having dealt with them first hand, I can say they do not back their product and they have atrocious support systems to help the customer. Spend your money on any other brand than bosch - they are junk.

Had the Refrigerator delivered to a new home about 3 weeks before we moved in.

MAJOR Issue is that the Refrigerator TRIPS the BREAKER! Multiple times. Had our electrician out, replace the breaker just out of caution, and it continues to happen. HUGE SAFETY ISSUE not to speak of having to move food out of the Bosch frig into a much less expensive Frigidaire we purchased for the garage, emptying trays in the door because water collects in them, and interior drawers that get stuck and won't open and a right door that has to be pushed VERY HARD to close. I thought they were the best. They have a recall on many dishwashers due to the junction box. In all cases the center terminal of the three burns out causing a fire. They are not recalling all of these, just some, in fact I think the recall stopped in 2017. They are blaming the electricians who installed it, even though it is a known manufacturer's default. I had a licensed electrician here who said that it had nothing to do with installation, it was a faulty box (he did not install it fyi).

It gets worse. They made us wait two weeks, sent a technician. He would not replace, blamed the electrician. I argued, he said, it's not me, it's what I have to tell you. Then explained that we were being charged for the call - what I mean is, on his notes it said to charge us. The woman we spoke to told me, if it is not the junction box you will be charged.

To recap: the appliance almost started a fire. Other units have. They are not recalling defective, fire starting, units. They are then telling you that they will come out to see what the issue is, when they already know what the issue is, it's a recalled junction box. They then will not repair it, they will give you the part, charge you, and leave. He did not charge us because he knew it was wrong. How the heck is this happening in 2023. Do not buy Bosch, they are a crafty company with no regard for their appliances or the safety of the families buying their products.

We get told to take the unit apart and send pictures of the anode rod. Now to do this we have to remove the entire unit, drain and disassemble. Bosch then tells us we did not inspect and replace the anode rod annually, so the warranty is void. But we can happily sell you a new one for only $160 (originally paid $154 for this unit). You can scrape some of the rust off, but the spots are still there. The Warranty says they warranty "the Product is free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 365 days" This is clearly not the case.

This has been a horrible experience and I could write so much about their customer service and the hoops I have had to jump through, "oh you need to send us this..." Why after the second call they didn't just give me a list of what I need to send in? Finally, I asked and sent in all supporting materials they needed, but it felt like I was being jerked around to extend time or maybe they were trying to get me to give up. I feel so angry that it is rusting on the top and the person who declined it treated me like it was something I did or maybe it wasn't really rust. It is rust. One of the first customer service people I spoke with told me they will replace it when it rust all the way through. But that isn't what the warranty says.

Wish I had bought Home Depot's extended warranty. If you have a tech come look at appliance, be sure to read their report before they leave and have them be very clear. Also, be sure you get an authorization from Bosch for the tech to come or Bosch won't pay for it. I did that because the representative from the Appliance Hospital told me to.
