We had a couple of quotes, and Blue Haven Pools & Spas came in with the best quality. We went to the office. Chris was our designer, and Jesse was our project manager assistant. They came out and measured. The spa and ground pool installation went very smoothly. I liked the communication and punctuality. I would recommend Blue Haven.

The pool Blue Haven created for me was good. I like the pebble stone and the color of the tiles, too. They were very professional. The lady who helped me out was very knowledgeable. Overall, our experience was okay. However, some of their workers left stuff like garbage in my yard, like cigarette butts and stuff that I didn't like. But they were friendly. Their price was reasonable as well, and they take credit cards for payment, which was really convenient.

Blue Haven Pools & Spa's project manager was very spot on with the estimates for how long things would take. He did periodic meetings with us to check in and tell us how things were going. That was very good. I liked the time that he took upfront to help us understand how we're gonna use the pool or what aspects of the pool we most enjoy. It was a very friendly, positive experience. Our pool has the basic things like the LED lights and the oxidation for the water system. We're very happy with it. We've already recommended Blue Haven to a few people.

I built a new pool and the guys from Blue Haven did a good job. We had a problem with the tile being chipped or taken off, and the rep came back and drained the pool and replastered it, and put it back on. It took him a while to drain the pool. He was really patient. The final results came out nicely. I like it. I would recommend Blue Haven. It was a good experience. They were here on time. It didn't take very long to get done, and, they came back and followed up with the pool service just to help me start up the pool with the chemicals so that everything worked out well.

The pool plan works for what we need and everything was great about the construction team. The rep, Jason, was handling everything and he had it squared away. The pool has the program for the lights in it, and it's great. I'll see it in the summer when it gets warm enough to swim in it. Blue Haven also did our last pool, and this is our second pool with them. They're the best around here and we've already referred a couple of people over there.

Blue Haven's rep was very professional and their presentation was polished and right on point. The pool design was a collaborative effort and building it took about 6-8 months even though it seemed forever. The supervisor who came out to make sure everything was okay and the instructions was a 5 out of 5. I appreciate their candor and honesty throughout the process.

We hired Blue Haven Pools & Spas, and everything went good with the design. However, there were a couple of things that I wish Blue Haven would have said about the design that would have made more sense, such as putting jets in the pool and where chlorine would sit in the pool that might discolor the bottom. We realized after the fact that water is going to sit stagnant right there, and it's gonna have so much chlorine in it, it's going to discolor portions of the pool. The flow of water moving around the pool could have been better explained, then we could have changed the design a little, rather than just, "Here is your design." I explained to them what I wanted and they gave me exactly that, but didn't elaborate about how my design could have been better.

Working with Blue Haven's designer was great. We had three iterations of the pool plan and changed a few things along the way. But Aaron, who was the guy that we worked with, was great from the get-go, start to finish. He provided a framework and then we made a lot of tweaks and adjustments to tailor to our needs.

Blue Haven is the best pool provider in the area and the designer we had was good. We wanted tile on our sun ledge and she helped us navigate that because Blue Haven doesn't typically do that. From groundbreaking to completion, the process took five months and the permitting took forever. But the construction crew was great and the pool is really good. We've had a couple of issues with the equipment in terms of a couple of things have broken, which I wasn't anticipating so early on. So I'm a little concerned about the quality but I'm hoping that it's good quality.

Everybody at Blue Haven Pools & Spas was friendly, professional, and cleaned up. I had no problem with any of the contractors. They were great. It was my first in-ground pool. There was a little bit of a lack of communication at times, but we eventually worked it out. I like the pool. It has a light and a rock waterfall. The pump is run from an app. My favorite features are the shape of the pool and the color of the tile. I did recommend them to my neighbor, and they built a pool with Blue Haven.

We built a pool and spa with Blue Haven in the Austin area in 2021. In October of 2025, we noticed cracking and leaking. We contacted Blue Haven, spoke with Casey **. He said they would send out a superintendent, that never happened so we kept emailing and calling, then he said the sent a claim to insurance. Yet we still haven’t heard from anyone. They are short and without compassion when we speak to them. We signed a contract that has a lifetime warranty that guarantees the pool will hold water, which it isn’t currently doing.

I would recommend Blue Haven Pools & Spas to anyone who is interested in having a pool put in. They were very professional. From the salesperson to the people in each component of what needed to go in with the pool like the plumbing, rebar, plastering, tile, cement work, pool equipment, the education on how to utilize pool equipment, was very smooth. The pool was timely done. They cleaned up after themselves nicely. The pool is a salt system as opposed to chlorine. Also, we had the colorful lights put in. I got a lot of use out of the pool this summer.

I'd been looking for pool companies but no one that I contacted would call me back. Within probably minutes when I put a request in at Blue Haven Pools & Spas, Scott responded. It was a Sunday even. He was out with his family and he immediately got back to me. We were off to a good start from right then. It was Scott for the most part through everything and it was great. He listened to exactly what we wanted. He came out, they measured and offered recommendations. We got to go into their store and he had a mockup on a screen. It was wonderful. Any delay was on us. We went on vacation in the middle of the project and they worked around us.

The pool plan that Blue Haven's designer was definitely what we were looking for in the space that we had. They did the best job that I could have imagined. They also gave us opportunities to put some things like the style of the pool lounge chairs that go in the water and the corner seats in the opposite end. They were good choices that I wouldn't have thought of. They also made sure to put a brace for an umbrella stand that goes in the water if we choose. That was pretty neat to have that option.

I actually had the time to spend really looking closely at all aspects of pool builders in the Lake Norman area. I mean 4 or 5 tab spreadsheet closely. I chose Blue Haven as my pool builder because they were the clear leader in the cost/benefit analysis of that spreadsheet. Even better working with great people like Matthew ** (our salesman) and Jeff ** (our project manager). I can't say enough positive things about Jeff. Great communications and feedback all the way through the build process. If I had it to do over again, it would be with Blue Haven.

We love our freestyle pool that Blue Haven created for us. I like the lounger chairs with the umbrella on the sun ledge. And it has lights, a pool heater, a waterfall, and a bubbler that I can control from my phone. Blue Haven made the whole thing easy. They started within less than a week from the time of the presentation, and they finished it at the very beginning of July this year.

Blue Haven asked what I was looking for, and then suggested different options and different routes to go, and we settled on what I liked. It was a great experience.

I talked to several pool builders and Blue Haven was not the least expensive, but they came in with a plan. They took a picture of my backyard and had a design idea. Everybody else just showed up, told us the price and had no details. Blue Haven was so professional and prepared, and they had a really good price. It was really cool that they let me create my own plan.

My husband and I have had 4 pools throughout our lifetime and this was the worst experience ever. Multiple problems to share with you. 1st- they accidentally ripped off the back door steps while preparing for our pad and had to repair using the wrong color mud work and it looks awful- see photos. 2nd- they didn’t follow the specs and our lounging pad was 15” too short and the lounge chairs would not fit so we had to special order chairs that were straighter instead of lounging. 3rd- Tim was late to our training appt. after 6pm and rushed through everything at dark where we couldn’t even see what he was doing.

I’m sure like many of the negative reviews I read prior to signing a contract with Blue Haven, they will respond with every excuse possible to defend or say I’m not telling the truth. And let’s be honest. Customers with good/average experiences usually don’t bother to review something. And of course bad experiences want the the world to know. So we all take reviews with a grain of salt.

Blue Haven Pools & Spas by Calvitti were a pleasure to work with. My wife and I had specific requirements pertaining to our pool design and this company came through with flying colors. They designed and installed our pool to our exact expectations. The price was reasonable, and the work was done (weather permitting) on schedule. During the process our emails were answered and our phone calls returned. We are very happy with the final product.

My wife and I are 100% satisfied with Blue Haven. We were fully involved with the design process. When Sean came out to our property, he was very transparent. He said he would give us a good, reasonable price and tremendous quality service and that we will be satisfied. He had some suggestions that were well thought out. Some suggestions we liked, while some we pushed back on because it was a little expensive. We appreciated all of them. He had a lot of experience and knowledge and was very professional. He's a kickass dude, and I really liked him.

I liked the pool plan that was created by the Blue Haven designer very much. He knew pools, he helped my son and I design the pool, and he was very knowledgeable. The pool is long with a little umbrella place for a chair. It's about 25 feet long by 15 feet wide. We have a waterfall that we can control with an app. It works. That feature is my favorite. Also, the lights are cool. My son uses it basically every day he's home.

I liked Blue Haven's salesperson which led me to purchasing a pool from them. The installation was good. There were some delays but they were caused by the city, not the pool company. It took five months to finish the pool, and the quality and cost are good. Overall, I was pleased with Blue Haven and I would recommend them.

Blue Haven completed our pool in just over seven weeks—remarkably fast, especially considering the poor weather throughout the build. We’ve considered adding a pool for years, but the biggest hurdle was finding a builder we could trust. Despite having many friends and neighbors with pools, none could confidently recommend their builder.

Terrible company!!! Terrible experience, over-priced for the final product, missed the timeline, far exceeded budget, nickel and dimed the entire way and post project completion resulted in a severed French drain with an additional cost to us of 15k. Took zero responsibility in how it occurred. Stay FAR, FAR away from this company.

In a previous review taken from a phone interview, I gave Blue Haven two stars. This is to update my review; my concerns have been addressed and I am updating the review to a five star. It is a beautiful pool that we enjoy daily.

I talked to a few people and Blue Haven has been around in our area quite a bit. I saw them in my neighborhood and hired them for their quality. They were fantastic people, including the designer. I have a 12 x 24 rectangular pool with a 9-foot sun deck and 4-foot-wide steps. The pool is 6 feet deep and all pebble finished with a tile around the top and quarry tile rounded around the edge. The project took less than four months. We started in April and I was in the water in the middle of June. Blue Haven did a fantastic job and I cannot say anything bad about them. I have a robotic vacuum, and I can control the pool through the Haven app. There's a Wi-Fi feature that I can control and watch the pool from anywhere. I go into the pool every day. We sit in it and it's great.

Blue Haven was great. I hired them to build a pool for me. The designer, Brenda, was excellent. The installers who came out were also good. As a matter of fact, I'm still in contact with at least two of the guys. Most of them don't work there anymore, though. So far, the pool works wonderfully and I haven't had any major issues.

Blue Haven has a very good reputation in Charleston, where I live and their price was in line with what I expected to pay. We did a lot of planning ahead of time and had a good idea of what we wanted. The designer, Jeff, was helpful without being pushy. Our design was unique since we have a long, skinny yard, a large back porch and an elevated porch. The pool is L-shape so it's accessible from multiple doors in the house and from multiple sides of the porch.
