I needed eight windows on the front of my house, and I went to Pella and Andersen. I compared the two and Pella was much more expensive. The sales rep also told me they don't have single-hung windows. I could only get double-hung windows, and I didn't want those. I chose Andersen, and I really liked the contractor. They did eight windows in one day. If someone needs windows, Andersen is the place to go. They're beautiful windows, and they make a world of difference. I love them.

We purchased a patio door. We were satisfied with the timeframe that the contractor gave to put it in. However, it's thinner than I thought it would be. It didn't feel as rugged as what it replaced. But the way it was explained to me was because the product has been over the years refined, it's just as good. I'm pleased with the door. I was just expecting it to be as thick as what it replaced. Actually, it's better to be thinner because, for my mom, a heavy door is hard to open and close.

I purchased the new model of Andersen's storm door. It's wonderful. The glass is removable. It's very simple not like the other door that I had where I had to snap things in that my finger wouldn't do it because I was too weak. The door closer is built into the door now, so you don't get stuck on it and caught on it. It's on top of the door and it's automatic. It took away all the exterior nonsense, like the old bar to keep the door open with the little clip. I needed a replacement for the octagon window. But Andersen doesn't make the ones that open anymore. They had to order that from another company. So, I was waiting on that and they were doing it all together. They were done in no time flat once the order came in. It was unbelievable. It is well worth it.

I was looking for black exterior and interior windows. Andersen Windows had them. However, I almost had to wait a year for the first order's installation. When the reps came and did the orientation, they said we should have it by 8 to 12 weeks. I said, "Fine." When they came back so I could make it final and put the official order, they said, "We're running a bit behind. It might be a bit more than that." I still decided to move forward. Once we put the official order, they were 8 to 10 months behind. There was a second time order. Two windows were the wrong ones. So, I had to wait for a bit extra. But I'm satisfied with getting the windows that I wanted.

Andersen Windows’ contractor was wonderful. They did what they said they were going to do and cleaned up when they left. Everything matched what Andersen promised to sell me. If people need windows, they should consider the 400 Series.

I had to wait until my Andersen windows were ordered because they were special size. I like them. I also had Andersen Windows before and those were put in the house when the house was built in 1970. So, they last pretty good.

I heard good things about Andersen and their price was very competitive. I decided to go that route. I ended up purchasing two windows and a big sliding glass door. It was one very large door that was 8-foot x 8-foot, a big bay window, and a smaller window in the kitchen. The installer was great. The guy that did it was very good about communicating what they were gonna be doing. There were a couple of times that things were kept very nice and neat and a couple of other times they weren't. Once I told them what my expectation was, they did exactly what I asked. The timeline took longer than anticipated due to other things they had going on. It took almost a week and they had to come back. All in all, the products are good. I would recommend Andersen.

Quick, work efficiently, non stop until completion. No complications and clean work areas so you didn’t know they were there. Even the office staff were helpful and pleasant. We did have one date change to which we were awarded a free $100 meal at our choice of Location for our troubles. It actually worked out better for us with the short delay. Great company to do business with.

The original windows in our home were Andersen Windows and they were so old that I'm thinking they only lasted as long as they did because they were Andersens. Recently, we purchased their crank-out casement windows. The gentleman came out to take a look at the project and I provided him with details on what I was looking for. I had it pretty well set up. I made it difficult because we were going to do different things such as bay windows and such, but he provided me the scenarios I needed. In the end, I was able to choose the bid option we wanted. From there, he took a downpayment, which was reasonable, and placed the orders for the windows to be made.
Once they were created, we worked on an installation start date together and that moved around a little bit because of other circumstances. But he was in perfect contact with us so, it was no trouble to get it dialed in. His name was Bryan and our communication was always extremely clear and sufficient. I was never left hanging. Ultimately, I am satisfied with how the installation went and the end product is terrific. . I would also tell my friends that should speak to Bryan for an estimate for both the windows and the install.
Other than that, I learned through this process that there is a separate company out there called Renewal by Andersen and they are not actually an Andersen Windows company. They don't lie to you, but you are left with the impression that you are working directly with Andersen Windows and it turns out that's not the case. I don't doubt that they are good at what they do but their pricing was very high, so I ended up doing much better by going with an Andersen-certified contractor.

I put Andersen windows in a rental house I own and the 100 Series was a good fit for that. They said it'd be a certain amount of time till the windows came, were made, and were in stock. And then, the windows would be replaced three weeks after that. They hit the time frames and did a good job. I've been trying to get the same house sided for over a year. A year ago, I put a downpayment for siding on it and they're finally starting that tomorrow. So, to start to finish on the windows in about eight weeks was good.
Andersen had a crew and they put the windows in. Ryan, the salesman, and I talked to get it started. After the few initial calls, I dealt with the certified installer and it was very good. The crew told me what they were gonna do and they did exactly that and their finished work was good too. My expectation wasn't off the chart on the windows but they seemed like a good window, especially for what I needed, and they seemed well-built and I liked that they are Fibrex over vinyl. Renewal by Andersen asked if the windows were for a rental and said that I would probably not gonna want those because it was $2,000 to $3,000 a window. And that would have been way too much. The price point on these was a lot less than that. So, it was perfect. They were slightly better than what I expected. I was quite pleased with the quality of these for the price of the 100 Series. I recommended the same contractor and the 100 Series to a friend of mine already.

I purchased a brand new home in 2021. This home came with Andersen windows. I noticed that one of my windows were leaking, and it turned out to be a manufacturing defect. After fighting with Andersen for an extended period to get them to even come out to my house to look at the window, they told me they would order a brand new unit due to the defective window. However, they told me they would not install it nor pay for the serious damage caused to my home from their defective window.
Please take caution that they actively attempt to not honor the warranty, and when they do, you will have to fight like hell to even take your concern serious. Then, when they finally admit they sold a defective window and bad product, they will try to skirt around the extra damages and liability caused by their product. For such a big company, they have 0 customer service. On top of this, they do not care about the harm they cause or their products cause. They leave the consumer with a damaged property from their defective windows, then refuse to install a new window or fix the damage they caused. They sell expensive windows, but they aren't worth the price.

23 years ago, I built my home and I used Andersen Windows. I was very happy with it. Recently, I replaced a window. We had a break-in and the burglar broke one window. I wanted to do the same Andersen brand. I got a double-hung window. The crew replaced it in one day but they're not done yet. The window didn't come with the frame. I called and they said they were waiting on a part. I'm still waiting on that too. As a company, Andersen has good people and they answer me right away. But I'm not crazy about the job.

We got 10 windows for our sunroom. Customer service told us what the process would look like. There was clear and consistent communication. I never felt like anybody was trying to pull one over on us. The installation took four days which was twice as long as they planned. But it was just a timing thing. They weren't able to have the entire crew and the windows that were already there were poorly fitted. So they had to do a lot of work to make sure the new windows were sealed.
The work was exemplary. The windows have a sun-protective glass which has been really effective. We love them. We spent more money on these windows but we definitely felt like we made the right choice. The problem we were having was that the heat seals on the old windows were broken, so it would get really hot in this room that's south-facing. Now, we're able to hang there during the day without it being sweltering hot.

Their storm door was poorly designed with no venting to relieve excess heat. As a result, our $12,000 inner door was damaged. Andersen refused to make any repairs or replace the door. We were turned over to their legal department by their rude customer service representative and you can guess where that went. Andersen used to be a great company. Our company used to sell their products. It is a new company that appears to be run by accountants and lawyers.

I purchased different-sized windows from them. The installation was delayed by half a year. The suppliers didn't get them on time. Also, after we received them, the contractors needed additional time to adjust the schedule because they were finishing some other project. We were dissatisfied with the quality and look of the windows. We were expecting from the presentation that we would get a comparable size of windows. But what happened was that the view area was much smaller than on our original window and so much smaller than with a different vendor. We didn't realize that in the beginning but from where the thickness was calculated, we were completely misrepresented. We didn't get any correct estimates. We lost about like 15,000 of money some of which we recovered by selling but not more than 25% was recovered. There was great delay again because we had to order another kind of window.

After 15 plus years of use for my Andersen double inswing Frenchwood doors my latch lever using to actuate the locking mechanism stopped working and started spinning freely and would not lock the door. I contacted Andersen customer service and spoke with David. He listened to my problem, and emailed me procedure document to disassemble the handle and locking mechanism exposing the actuator that moves the deadbolt in and out of the door frame. Upon inspecting the actuator, I found two screws had loosened over the 15 years since the door was installed preventing the actuator from engaging the deadbolt. By simply tightening these two screws that were not accessible without removing the door handle and faceplate my problem was completely solved, and the door was back to operating correctly.
I had expected to pay several hundred dollars for replacement hardware, when in fact my total cost was about 20 minutes of my time. David from Andersen listened to my problem, sent me an instruction document that clearly gave me step by step procedures to follow allowing me to fix the problem and put my door back in service with no $ cost to me. I am a very satisficed customer with the quality of the service I received and the quality of Andersen products. Thank you David and Jeanette from Andersen for help, and Andersen for the quality of your products.

And it doesn't matter how old the windows are. They just got the stuff for them. So, we stuck with them. We got a window that's broken, so I need to go through all of them to see if any of the other lift mechanisms broke. They seem flimsier than what I expected, but they're a wide window. I bought kitchen sliding doors from Andersen and I was very happy with them. But about a month afterwards, the problem came in with the pole ropes for the Venetian blinds that are internal to the door. I called the local carpenter who put them in and he said he didn't do any work on doors after he put them in. He said that was between myself and the company, and I was very disappointed in that.
When I talked to a representative of Andersen, she said she was going to send me the repair parts to help repair the problem I was having. But she sent the wrong parts and they didn't match up with my windows. She sent for some other product and I called back when I got that. I talked to a gentleman and he did an extensive search. He found out that I had a different brand of the mechanism for the Venetian windows and he said he was going to send them to me. And that's been about three weeks ago.
I have yet to get the replacement to correct a magnetic connection between the rope pulley and the Venetian blinds inside. One of them is virtually impossible to use and the other one works great. So, I've got mixed reactions on these windows. I'm also pretty disappointed right now on getting these Andersen products. I paid $7,600 to put in sliding doors in my kitchen to the patio and I thought that price was outrageous, considering there was no follow-up service from the carpenter and the company hasn't provided any repair parts. So, I can't use the Venetian blinds on the sliding glass panel. But on the fixed panel, it works fine.

We live on the Gulf Coast where we have hurricanes and my old doors and windows were pretty crappy. The last hurricane kind of scared us so we decided to upgrade at least our doors and Andersen offered a hurricane quality door. With all the supply constraints, it was kind of hard for the guy to really be accurate on his estimate and replacing the door turned out to be a lot longer. Also, they could have done a lot better job with keeping me informed about what was going on. The guy was really hard to get ahold of and it was pretty disheartening. I spent $10,000 on the door and I expect people to keep me abreast, especially when it's such a delay like we experienced. But that's one part I was not very pleased about and everything's that way now. It seems that there's just not a lot of communication anymore between vendors and people.
The quality of the doors seems to be pretty good. They don't fit as tight as I was expecting and they don't close as tight as I thought. I could hear air around one or two of them. The guy came back over and looked at them and said that was kind of normal. And they have the hurricane locks on them so when you engage the hurricane locks, that tightens everything up pretty good. The proof will be when the next hurricane comes through. Also, they have a warranty, which is one reason I picked Andersen, but I don't know if I've ever officially seen anything about it.

Built a new home beginning in 2019 with a combination of 400 series casement windows and 400 series double hung windows. All wood on the inside and vinyl clad on the exterior. The 400 series allows storm windows on the double hung, not just a screen on the exterior, but glass storms with a half screen on the bottom. The frames for the storm windows is hinged at the top and not easily removed. The storm window sash can not be removed without pulling pins that go into the frames and pushing the bottom of the frame away from the house. While removing the sash it would be easy to drop it to the ground and break the glass. Colby and Colby makes storm windows for the their double hung windows. The storm sash are easily removed and cleaned. The Andersen storm sash are almost impossible to get out of the frames and put back into them.
Three of the double hung windows have air infiltration so I called to ask about replacing the bottom weather strip on the lower sash. I was told I had to give them a code on the top of the frame and send photos. I watched an Andersen video on their web site showing how to remove the bottom sash weather stripping. Looked easy. Just pull it out of the track, put some adhesive inside the recess and put the new one in its place. Hardly. The adhesive was holding the strip so tight it ripped apart on the majority of the strip, requiring major cleanup and removal of the adhesive and left over rubber weather strip in pieces.
It took nearly an hour to remove just one piece of weather strip. Colby windows have an easy to remove weather strip on the bottom of each sash. We had those windows in our previous home. Wished I had required the builder to use Colby and Colby instead of Andersen or even Pella windows. Some of the casement windows stick when attempting to open them. Moisture against the frame and seal bonds and it feels like the crank is going to break before the window will go open. Cleaning the 400 series double hung is no picnic either. You must pull down a sash release on each jam and then the inside sash can be pulled in and cleaned. You must remember to push the slide back up to the top before pulling out the top sash or it will cause a major problem. Trust me.

I'm very sorry I went with Andersen. I went for the 400 Series, the better series, and I didn't know you can't put blinds on the inside. And on the outside, it’s my trim. No one told me about that and I am so upset that I spent 24,000 on them. If I had my choice right now, I would be pulling every one out of the house. I am also so fed up with Andersen and my contractor. When the products were installed, I discussed with Tim, the Andersen certified dealer, that I didn't want the renewal or the replacement. I wanted new construction. So he advised me that the 400 series was the best. It's the wood with the covering, the vinyl, and he would put new trim. So, we agreed on it.
Then I went for an Andersen tri-window in the front casement. I don't have to put a blind on there and I'm going to put a curtain. But I had blinds on all my other windows. When this gentleman came to my house, he should have seen this and said that I wasn't going to be able to put them back. He should have said that I'd have to put them on the wall or on the frame. But I don't want to do that and ruin my frame. I'm going to have to now though.
When I called the gentleman at Andersen, he gave me names of companies out of state that could help me. But they couldn't help me and they laughed at me. They said they were just there for the hardware and they didn't know what I was talking about. So I was made a fool out of more than once. Apparently, the guy I talked to at Andersen works in corporate and he didn't even know that with the 400 Series, you couldn't put any kind of window covering on the inside.
I also called Andersen before I talked to him and the rep I got said that after 1999, you wouldn't put window coverings on the 400 Series because now, there's not enough meat inside the window for a bracket to hook on. When I told him that, he said he had to loon into that and asked who told me about it. All in all, I would have been very happy with Andersen but because I can't put the window coverings, I'm not happy at all. I didn't read the reviews and I trusted Tim. But when I looked at the reviews for Andersen, everybody has the same gripe as me. When I discussed my issue with Tim, he told me to put curtains up.

Andersen in my mind has always been a top of the line quality oriented company. But I was very disappointed with the workmanship on our windows. They came through with scratches on the surface. They were not packaged in a way to prevent that from happening when they should have been. The screens are very difficult to insert and close. There's a piece of metal that you close to go into a receptacle on the window frame and that holds the screen in. We had to take a knife and jury-rigged getting that little piece of metal to come through the frame of the screen so that it would lock into place in the window. To me, that's totally unacceptable quality from a company like Andersen. But I have no complaints with the contractor. They did a superb job. The windows look terrific. But overall, I am dissatisfied because I paid a lot of money for the windows. They should have not had the problems that I experienced.

We told the contractor what we wanted, and they ordered it. We've been replacing our windows and doors, and three-quarters of the house is done already. They're very nice windows. According to the contractor, the installation was fairly easy. The only thing was that when we got the windows, some of the parts were either missing or broken so they had to replace them. But I was told that was normal. Things get lost or broken in shipment. In fact, they were here a little while ago replacing one of the window jambs and the closures on a couple of the windows. But everything is fine now. It just took a long time to get stuff resolved. The windows we had in were installed in November and the parts to fix the problem came in two weeks ago. So it was six months to get a part and that's kind of excessive. But the issues were taken care of.
They're good windows. We've had Andersen Windows for around eight years, and they've held up very, very well. We replaced the windward side of the house first because it got the most wear and tear between sun and rain and snow. But they've held up very, very well. It's very, very warm in the wintertime. There are no leaks or air coming through. They were very well insulated. The same thing happens in the summertime. The air conditioning ran a lot less with them on.

We were looking at the aesthetics and the functionality for our particular application in an 80-year-old home, where we have very serious concerns about retaining the interior woodwork. So we went with the pocket option. We were attracted to the composite exterior option with the interior exposed wood option, which is Andersen's Woodwright 400 series. They thought it would take a bit longer because of that particular product. The delivery times have been extended. We were surprised though that they came in sooner than we expected and we were able to accommodate that schedule. Two seasoned folks came in to do the installation. They were with the contractor, Ultimate Remodelers, in Villa Park, Illinois. They did a good job. It was important that we met the lead guy early on and got a feel for his professionalism. They took about three and a half days and we're happy with their workmanship.
One of our apprehensions about the windows is that over time, are they going to a new seal? Are we gonna have issues with the gaps in between the panes? My initial concern has been that I've had a hard time with a couple of the windows that get jammed up because of the retention spring. The strings get caught in the mechanism, and then you discover you can't move the window, and you have to fuss with it. Then you have to tilt it out and try to angle it so that it gets back into its channel. The other issue I have is when you open these windows, you hear those strings springs reverberate. It's something I've never heard before in a window. I'm used to windows that slowly open and you’re not hearing the springs releasing.

Ones that were nailed have holes still showing while others were filled. Now the trim is bowing on 8 windows. Even when you try and squeeze the trim to close the gap, there is still a visible space. On the outside, the glazing bead is literally coming apart at the seams on the corners. Andersen's response, "We will ship out new trim and glazing bead, but no labor." They want me to pay for someone to fix their poorly manufactured windows. HORRIBLE COMPANY, PRODUCT, AND CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! STAY AWAY!!

Andersen Windows would only make replacement windows at specific periods of time throughout the year and their focus was on mass producing all of the windows that were from their catalog. They had a specific jig set up to make all their standard windows but whenever an order came in for a custom window, they would have to shut down the lines to make custom windows because it was not the standard way of doing things. I didn't like it because I had to wait over a year to get my windows put in. I have no question with the quality since I've specified Andersen Windows over and over. But as an architect, I would certainly take this into consideration if my client was on a tight schedule. I'm dissatisfied with the scheduling process but I'm completely satisfied with the product.

Installation was very slow because they couldn't get the windows, but once they came here and completed the job, it was good. The timeline was surprisingly slow, but they told us it would be. The communication was fine.
The people we worked with were personable and we had some good conversations, some about windows and some about other things, and the job got done. It looks good and they charged what they said. It was $3,000 less than another contractor we know personally and would have preferred to go with. I purchased four sets of Andersen 400 patio doors and 4 windows for my home in January from a local, reputable dealer that I have purchased other home renovation materials from in the past. My order was placed in January and I paid a 50% deposit. The order was delivered in April and before delivery I paid the remaining 50% balance, the total was approximately $15,000. Thank goodness my contractor unboxed all of the frames and glass before he removed any of the existing patio doors. Two of the patio door frames for the front of my home were damaged, used and returned to Andersen. Andersen sent them to my dealer as new inventory for my order. The vinyl trim on both frames was torn and/or removed. One frame was used, a piece of the metal frame was cut out and there were screw holes with caulking around them.
My dealer took great care to work with me and he kindly took the time and spoke with Andersen on my behalf sharing the photos of the damaged pieces. Andersen agreed to replace with them an "Initial Quality Expedited Oder", however the delivery date is in over a month. This was not acceptable nor did it seem "expedited" to me or my dealer.
I contacted Andersen and had the pleasure of speaking with two representatives before being connected to Ben, Sr. Product Specialist. Ben began by telling me the information that I had been told by my dealer and nothing more. I kindly asked him if it was okay for me to respond. I shared with Ben why I purchased Andersen and the commitment to the brand that my family and I have. I also said that based on my contractor's schedule, other renovation work scheduled for flooring and a kitchen, the late May date was not going to work for me. I then asked for a refund. He told me that there would be no refund and I could take that up with my dealer.
I shared that my dealer mentioned that I should ask Andersen for a refund and if they agreed to take the patio doors back, my dealer would refund me the money. Ben went on to say that my dealer was misinformed and mistaken. I asked if he had anything more he could share with me to enable a speedier solution. Ben's reply: "If you want me to repeat what I told you earlier, that's all I am going to tell you". I then told him that I never write poor reviews, only positive ones but this may be the day that changes. I wished him a good day and ended the call.
I will never recommend Andersen, I will never buy Andersen again and I will never promote the brand to family, friends or colleagues. Ben's poor attitude and degrading demeanor toward me is the sole reason for this review. Errors happen, but Andersen needs better QC when items are returned to their warehouse or hubs. I purchased new merchandise in good faith, I expect new merchandise in return. I did not go on Craigslist looking for patio doors or a second hand store. I felt degraded as a woman and treated as though I was someone who would not know anything about windows, doors or home improvement materials by Ben. Shame on you Andersen!!!!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your recent Andersen order. We did review your case and saw multiple frame parts that were not up to our standards. Andersen Windows has been great to work with. They've been very patient. They've been engaged to this project. It was looked at 15 years ago, and it wasn't moved on at the time due to cost limitations. Despite it taking us a long time to get there, they've been patient. The local representative has been great to work with and has answered any questions really quickly so we can move forward with the project when we got ready to move forward. We compared Andersen Windows to EF San Juan and Pella, and the windows that were proposed by the other manufacturers were more of a residential looking window. The Andersen window that was proposed more closely match the older architectural look of our facility which is a Jeffersonian. We got the 2605. It's all aluminum clad, and custom color match exterior.
As far as installation, it was estimated that they could install about two windows a day. We got 167 total windows. When they were working on the ground, they were installing about six to seven windows a day. Right now, they're at about six windows a day. They're not quite half way through yet. We got some competing proposals, but the one we selected was also a contractor that had roofed the same facility about two years before as a subcontractor. That roofing project is $1.3 million. So, we had confidence in what they could do. It's the Exterior Specialties Incorporated. They've been great to work with. I talk with their project lead every day.
As far as the windows, we're happy with the overall quality. The only thing that I had an issue with is there's no locking mechanism for these windows being in a commercial install. There was a mess up on our order for the frame expanders. We had to order a 12-foot units and the ones that came in were 8.5 foot. So the selling dealer, Smith Doors & Windows coordinated filing of the claim with the Andersen Windows. Fortunately, the replacement of the additional frame expanders we needed to complete our project are actually gonna come in before we need them. So we're happy with that. That claim filing was handled extremely well by the selling dealer.

I had an Andersen qualified installer install it because I didn't want to screw up an $11,000 door. We'll have an island that has a stove on it, but we'll have an overlap on the inside of the house so that people can sit there, have drinks, open the doors up, see all the way out past the atrium into the pool, and it'll all be one integrated place.

So, I don't know if the window size was just incorrect where the brick mold couldn't be used, but I know that the installers had to use wood and cut it down and do it that way. Sometimes, the ordering process makes it a little difficult. There are lots of details that you have to know what you're looking at and the attention to detail to make sure that what you're getting is exactly what you need and nothing more. Also, the windows were expensive and the cost increased twice during the time that I was working with my contractor on sizing what I needed, et cetera.
I had storm windows on before and when you put new windows in, everything is clean and it seems so much brighter. They're quieter. My old windows would stick from being painted over the years. I couldn't open them without banging them open and now, I could just walk over and flip the lever and lift it with one hand. The Andersen windows are easy to use. The quality of the windows and the way they look, the way they operate everything and the quality so far, I'm very happy with them. I'm going to buy more and I would buy Andersen windows again.

We really like the Andersen windows. The product is good and it seems to definitely be the right product for what we were trying to accomplish. I noticed a difference in everything, sound, the heat, even looking through it. It's a whole new world. Both upstairs and downstairs. The product seems to be working well. It was also fairly priced. The guy also did a good job. It took a little longer than we wanted it to. We thought we were gonna get it at the beginning of December. But, it ended up being January. But, it was no big deal at all. I know the supply chain issues.

I had a good experience with them. They recommended an installer to me who helped us choose the windows. I took a 12" by 24" attached sunroom outside my main living area with with a door to the outside. The contractor is excellent and had very strong attention to detail and very strong follow up. The crew he assembled is very talented. We had some things that they did that I didn't like and they undid those and did them again to my satisfaction.
This week they painted so that today the window shades company could come in and put on the window shades. There are still some odds and ends to be done, but they're largely done. On Long Island, the major Andersen Windows distributor is Riverhead Building Supply. I have a relationship with Riverhead Building Supply going back to 1976 when the owner and founder of the company was transferring control to his next generation son, a man of approximately my age. I know that company to place a high premium on quality, and I'm delighted that Andersen has selected them as the local major distributor of the products.

We purchased four double-hung windows and a sliding glass patio door. The quality is fine, although there was a defect in one of the panels in the sliding glass door. My contractor arranged for a replacement and that process was fine but we had to wait for that panel.

I purchased three doors from Andersen - two sliding glass doors and a swing door. They have a lot of complexity in the hinges and mounts so that after we've installed it, we can then fiddle with it to make it fit better, which is a clever idea. The swing door is on an ocean-facing wall and it needs to have a certain architectural rating. It has a very sturdy locking mechanism and when we lock this thing, it locks in three or five points. It's very secure, which it needs to be given the winds that it has to deal with.

We got the double-hung windows from Andersen. I like wood windows and there are very few companies that are making wood windows anymore, which was what attracted me to that. They're a better product and I appreciate them for what they are. Andersen is a little bit more on the expensive side though. I installed six wood Andersen windows back in 2012 and what I could get for six, I could only get two installed this year. So that is a considerable expense. Everything went up and COVID was the factor but that was drastic.

I purchased a bunch of Andersen 100 casement and gliders and a gliding window. The installation took a few days. The crew of four guys did all the work and it was a good experience. The quality of the products is pretty good. We filed a claim for one of the glass panels because there was an imperfection with the silver oxide and the big case window we bought. They pop in and out every time you open the window and it's a jarring pop. I looked outside and the snubbers had pinched the weather stripping on both windows and poked little holes where the snubbers are. But other than that, everything has been terrific. Andersen Windows are well-built and affordable.

I purchased five Andersen windows for our garage. I like the way that they're constructed with wood and also composite, which I felt would hold up to the weather a lot better than some of the other windows that are out on the market. They're very nice windows. I'm very pleased. I was very impressed with the person that I dealt with, who came to our house to tell us about the window. He also came back with another gentleman and they installed them themselves. The installer was also very knowledgeable about how many lights to put into each one of the lights so that they look good and what would be the best application for what I was looking for.

I had a very good experience with Andersen Windows. Recently, we got our windows replaced. Everything was the same other than the color. They made a couple updates since, so they weren't exactly the same, but they're as close as they could be. I had the last one for 41 years and even if I get half of that out of these, I will consider it a worthwhile investment.

I got double-hung windows from Andersen. They're called Eagle. I love the windows. I'll get some more installed in front of our house. Everything went well and it seems to be a good product and it is definitely better than what we had before.

Working with them was seamless. I had them replace all the windows in a small condo. it took them about a day and a half which was expected. I'm very pleased with the quality of the new windows. I will not hesitate to recommend Andersen.

I called Andersen Windows to get the same storm door I have in the back door of my house and it was a great experience with the rep. The service was amazing. I was very happy because they responded very quickly. The old door was 4,000 and you can unlock the screen and replace the glass. This one that I got is 3,000 and there is a completely different way of removing. It’s more complicated than the other one but it’s good.

We purchased a sliding, a front door, and a picture window. We’re having little issues with the front door, but that's being adjusted. Other than that, the quality is good, so far. I'd tell others to go for Andersen.

The product of Andersen Windows is very good. We wanted two-tone windows, and they were the only ones that do that. The installation was done in one day. The contractor had to come back and do some trim work for us, but they did a great job. We also had them do a front door for us which was fairly expensive. I'm very pleased with the products. We opted to get two crank windows on the other side of the big bay window. We used to have crank, but it was the old steel kind. The contractor had told us that Andersen has a great crank out. When it shut, it's airtight. The handle folds down like a low-profile and the screens are on the inside. I love that.

After struggling with Andersen Windows for years, I finally got a call from a young lady named Elise (not sure of spelling). She was extremely knowledgeable, understanding, & sympathetic to my plight. Within 24 hours she had authorized a refund to me for the subject windows & assured me that the other replacement windows would be shipped within 10 days. She was an absolute delight to deal with and Andersen should be very proud to have someone of her intelligence, efficiency & attitude work for them. It was a long tortuous journey but thanks to Elise it has ended & I am pleased with Andersen's final response.

Terrible Product and Worse Customer Service. When I built a first class house, I thought I was buying the best possible windows for it. Obviously I was mistaken. I think the whole batch that went into my house was defective and that's why the first rep. replaced some even though they were technically out of warranty.I think they will all rot out eventually
I’m concerned about consequential damage to the area surrounding the windows so please act ASAP. I paid for the replacements in full 4-6 months ago. Thank you for your help with this very ridiculous and unacceptable product. My lodge is exposed to countless people annually and receives rave reviews. Henceforth I will always warn them about Anderson windows. FYI I’ve found more rotten windows since you were there 4-6 mos ago. Also over a year ago, I photographed and meticulously measured rotten windows precisely to your phone rep. Now I’m told they are the wrong size and you won’t take them back even though I know they would fit some other suckers house. I look forward to hearing from them!

I got double hungs in the front, casements in the back, and those picture windows in between from Andersen. Before the workers got there, I talked to the production manager then the production manager came out. They went through and ask me questions. They looked at all the windows and planned out the install. Then they asked if I had any preferences. There are 38 windows in the house total that they did, and they broke up the installation into a number of different sections. There was a guy and a lady, they were here for two and a half days and they did an amazing job.
So far, the windows are
