We had to replace a patio door in our rental house. We had Andersen windows put in our old house before and someone named Jeff did the work. He did a good job. I was pleased Andersen since we had windows installed. I went back to Jeff to get our patio door replaced. I had him give me the estimate. They had to wait in order to get the door. Originally, they said that it would take about nine weeks to be able to get it installed. But Jeff was able to come back and did it in five, so that was great.

We got a half-moon shaped window with a double hung regular window underneath it from Andersen Windows. Their contractor came, removed the old window, fixed the wood that rotted around and installed it in one day. It's good quality and it looks good.

We bought over 20 Andersen windows, they are able to see that they are under warranty but will not replace because they want me to pay for a service technician to come out. They do not have service technician and Brandi from Customer service is extremely rude. Certain people should not be in customer service. Avoid them at all cost, you will regret the money spent.

We had a bunch of regular double-hung windows, a sliding door, an awning window, and two bay windows put in and so far, they've been great. It's a complete 180 from the windows that we used to have. It's a lot quieter and there are no drafts or anything like that. Everything's a lot more expensive nowadays, but we're happy with the quality that we have and what we paid for it.

It took seven months to get the door, and that was the timeline Andersen told me up front. It's a specific three-panel door that's about 12 feet across that accordions back. It was $11,000 just for that single door, but that was a good price for it. I got quoted $14,000 on other places for this type of door and a couple other prices that were higher. I had an Andersen qualified installer install it because I didn't want to screw up an $11,000 door. I could have done it cheaper, but it would have taken me a lot longer and I wouldn't have been ensured that it was done right. So it was well worth doing it with them. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Andersen Windows.
There are other things with the house that have gone wrong, but the door was not one of them. That is working out fantastic, and I'm thrilled with the quality of it. It's gonna sell the house. That door opens out into an atrium that's like a big glass shed that's 30 by 15 feet, and the other side of that is the pool. It's in between the kitchen and the atrium. We'll have an island that has a stove on it, but we'll have an overlap on the inside of the house so that people can sit there, have drinks, open the doors up, see all the way out past the atrium into the pool, and it'll all be one integrated place.

I purchased a storm door in December of 2022 because it seemed like a quality door and I liked the beautiful grids in the window. It was installed in early January. The installer noticed the grids were a touch too small and were barely being held in the window. He informed the company on January 12th. They have since sent three sets of replacement grids all of them smaller than the original grids. After the last shipment, I compared the three sets of grids and noticed they were all identical. They keep cutting them the exact same size of too small!
At this point, it’s March 12th and I’m furious. I inform them that all of the sets of grids they’ve sent are exactly the same size of too small and to please try cutting them bigger. They’ve basically been ignoring me. I emailed again on April 3rd and am still waiting to hear if someone is going to fix this ridiculous problem. The whole reason I chose this door was for the grids. Wish I could take it down and return it.
Thank you for your reply. We apologize your product arrived damaged and too small again. We will request a callback to you and provide an alternate resolution.

We have had Anderson Windows in the past and they have always performed well. A reliable product and a fair price. The contractor took two days to install the windows once they were in. We just made sure that somebody was home when they got here. Other than that, it was straightforward.

I purchased windows and a sliding patio door from Andersen. The salesperson talked about the quality of the windows and was really knowledgeable. He also had a good price and was efficient with how he worked. We had two sets and the second set's installation took longer. But with COVID and shipping, it was a little less predictable. So it was okay. The installers were really professional and very friendly. The products they installed are very nice, too. Windows, overall, are really expensive. But as far as other windows, this was market price.

We've had Andersen Windows in our previous home in Harrisburg. This time, I purchased a sliding door and a small window. From the very beginning when we contacted them till the whole job was done, our representative was phenomenal. His name is Jeremy. He's the installer as well as the salesman. For the installation, Andersen didn't get a truck in with the right windows on it so it delayed things quite a bit. But the day they worked, they were very efficient and cleaned up after themselves. I could not be more pleased with this whole thing. We just moved here and did a lot of different work on the house. By far, these were the best people we worked with.

We purchased 8 hurricane impact windows for our home here in Florida. Everything about the process was excellent, from the sales presentation through the installation. They had a concierge service that kept us appraised of all ongoing activities. The installation process was excellent. The crews knew their stuff, and were wonderful to work with. Friendly, professional, cleaned up, covered all furniture, etc. We love the windows, so easy to open even though they are heavy glass. Highly recommend!!

Andersen was not the cheapest, but it was reasonable. The salesperson was pretty knowledgeable. The installation team was good. They did a good job getting them all in even though it was freezing. But my husband was a little disappointed with the white trim and the nail holes. They didn't repaint everything but I still think they look pretty good. But the biggest complaint I have was that nobody told me that my windowsills weren't gonna be at least an inch and a half to two inches deep. So when I got professional blinds installed, they protrude about 3/4 to an inch out. Also, I can't have Splash blackout in the bedrooms and I can't have cellular shades, which I like the simple look. So it's really hard to figure out a window treatment. I also got Andersen Windows in my sunroom and the cellular shades fit in there perfectly because it's a different window that I got. We got the 100s in the sunroom and then I got the 400s in the inside of the house.

I got casement and double-hung windows and the order was supposed to take eight weeks but it ended up taking 12. The lead time was long and it was hard to know through the contractor if they were getting updates. Once it got to eight weeks, I was able to ask him and he said he should be able to see exactly when they're gonna come in. So I don't know how much of that’s Andersen versus my contractor, but even still, months to get windows is a long time.
I had five boxes of fiberglass brick mold that was pre-finished and pre-cut that couldn't be used on the windows as well as a bunch of sill materials. I assumed that I paid for a lot of this stuff. I don't know if that had to do with the contractor or if they just weren't fabricated correctly. So, I don't know if the window size was just incorrect where the brick mold couldn't be used, but I know that the installers had to use wood and cut it down and do it that way. Sometimes, the ordering process makes it a little difficult. There are lots of details that you have to know what you're looking at and the attention to detail to make sure that what you're getting is exactly what you need and nothing more. Also, the windows were expensive and the cost increased twice during the time that I was working with my contractor on sizing what I needed, et cetera.
I had storm windows on before and when you put new windows in, everything is clean and it seems so much brighter. They're quieter. My old windows would stick from being painted over the years. I couldn't open them without banging them open and now, I could just walk over and flip the lever and lift it with one hand. The Andersen windows are easy to use. The quality of the windows and the way they look, the way they operate everything and the quality so far, I'm very happy with them. I'm going to buy more and I would buy Andersen windows again.

We really like the Andersen windows. The product is good and it seems to definitely be the right product for what we were trying to accomplish. I noticed a difference in everything, sound, the heat, even looking through it. It's a whole new world. Both upstairs and downstairs. The product seems to be working well. It was also fairly priced. The guy also did a good job. It took a little longer than we wanted it to. We thought we were gonna get it at the beginning of December. But, it ended up being January. But, it was no big deal at all. I know the supply chain issues.

I had a good experience with them. They recommended an installer to me who helped us choose the windows. I took a 12" by 24" attached sunroom outside my main living area with with a door to the outside. The contractor is excellent and had very strong attention to detail and very strong follow up. The crew he assembled is very talented. We had some things that they did that I didn't like and they undid those and did them again to my satisfaction.
This week they painted so that today the window shades company could come in and put on the window shades. There are still some odds and ends to be done, but they're largely done. On Long Island, the major Andersen Windows distributor is Riverhead Building Supply. I have a relationship with Riverhead Building Supply going back to 1976 when the owner and founder of the company was transferring control to his next generation son, a man of approximately my age. I know that company to place a high premium on quality, and I'm delighted that Andersen has selected them as the local major distributor of the products.

I purchased three doors from Andersen - two sliding glass doors and a swing door. They have a lot of complexity in the hinges and mounts so that after we've installed it, we can then fiddle with it to make it fit better, which is a clever idea. The swing door is on an ocean-facing wall and it needs to have a certain architectural rating. It has a very sturdy locking mechanism and when we lock this thing, it locks in three or five points. It's very secure, which it needs to be given the winds that it has to deal with.

We got the double-hung windows from Andersen. I like wood windows and there are very few companies that are making wood windows anymore, which was what attracted me to that. They're a better product and I appreciate them for what they are. Andersen is a little bit more on the expensive side though. I installed six wood Andersen windows back in 2012 and what I could get for six, I could only get two installed this year. So that is a considerable expense. Everything went up and COVID was the factor but that was drastic.

I purchased a bunch of Andersen 100 casement and gliders and a gliding window. The installation took a few days. The crew of four guys did all the work and it was a good experience. The quality of the products is pretty good. We filed a claim for one of the glass panels because there was an imperfection with the silver oxide and the big case window we bought. They pop in and out every time you open the window and it's a jarring pop. I looked outside and the snubbers had pinched the weather stripping on both windows and poked little holes where the snubbers are. But other than that, everything has been terrific. Andersen Windows are well-built and affordable.

I purchased five Andersen windows for our garage. I like the way that they're constructed with wood and also composite, which I felt would hold up to the weather a lot better than some of the other windows that are out on the market. They're very nice windows. I'm very pleased. I was very impressed with the person that I dealt with, who came to our house to tell us about the window. He also came back with another gentleman and they installed them themselves. The installer was also very knowledgeable about how many lights to put into each one of the lights so that they look good and what would be the best application for what I was looking for.

The product of Andersen Windows is very good. We wanted two-tone windows, and they were the only ones that do that. The installation was done in one day. The contractor had to come back and do some trim work for us, but they did a great job. We also had them do a front door for us which was fairly expensive. I'm very pleased with the products. We opted to get two crank windows on the other side of the big bay window. We used to have crank, but it was the old steel kind. The contractor had told us that Andersen has a great crank out. When it shut, it's airtight. The handle folds down like a low-profile and the screens are on the inside. I love that.

After struggling with Andersen Windows for years, I finally got a call from a young lady named Elise (not sure of spelling). She was extremely knowledgeable, understanding, & sympathetic to my plight. Within 24 hours she had authorized a refund to me for the subject windows & assured me that the other replacement windows would be shipped within 10 days. She was an absolute delight to deal with and Andersen should be very proud to have someone of her intelligence, efficiency & attitude work for them. It was a long tortuous journey but thanks to Elise it has ended & I am pleased with Andersen's final response.

Terrible Product and Worse Customer Service. When I built a first class house, I thought I was buying the best possible windows for it. Obviously I was mistaken. I think the whole batch that went into my house was defective and that's why the first rep. replaced some even though they were technically out of warranty.I think they will all rot out eventually
I’m concerned about consequential damage to the area surrounding the windows so please act ASAP. I paid for the replacements in full 4-6 months ago. Thank you for your help with this very ridiculous and unacceptable product. My lodge is exposed to countless people annually and receives rave reviews. Henceforth I will always warn them about Anderson windows. FYI I’ve found more rotten windows since you were there 4-6 mos ago. Also over a year ago, I photographed and meticulously measured rotten windows precisely to your phone rep. Now I’m told they are the wrong size and you won’t take them back even though I know they would fit some other suckers house. I look forward to hearing from them!

I got double hungs in the front, casements in the back, and those picture windows in between from Andersen. Before the workers got there, I talked to the production manager then the production manager came out. They went through and ask me questions. They looked at all the windows and planned out the install. Then they asked if I had any preferences. There are 38 windows in the house total that they did, and they broke up the installation into a number of different sections. There was a guy and a lady, they were here for two and a half days and they did an amazing job.
So far, the windows are awesome. But the hardware on one of the windows was different and the grid system on one of the windows was different. That's not Andersen's factory's fault though. That's the fault of the person from the store that we went to who put in the order. All in all Andersen Windows are more expensive, but they give you peace of mind and I would recommend them to anybody that I cared about.

When I met with the contractor, I was super impressed by his experience, approach and qualifications. Price-wise, it was very similar to Pella but I was more comfortable having a stronger direct relationship with the contractor. The windows are amazing. I love them. We've gotten so many compliments in our neighborhood of how good they look. The window of the sliding piece is more narrow, so there's more window than with the vinyl. We didn't think about this, but the windows look so much larger because there's more glass because they're wood. I was super happy with the installation. It ended up being more expensive than I thought it would be. But I'm happy to spend the extra money for the wood. I'm happy with the quality.
The biggest issues that I had were related to supply chain. Once we ordered the windows, it took six months to get the windows in. When the contractor came to install the windows, they opened the first one up and found out that Andersen had sent the wrong windows. We have a 4-inch exterior wall and the windows that were sent were for a 6-inch exterior wall. There were a couple of different options for how to deal with that. One of the options was to return a $20,000 worth of windows to Andersen and have Andersen remake them.
We weren't super excited about that because it'd taken six months to get the windows in the first place. What we ended up doing was the contractor was able to put the windows in, but they had to redo all of the framing on the interior and exterior and they needed to get a certain part from Andersen. We decided that would be the better way and he negotiated with Andersen, that Anderson would pick up the extra labor material cost for redoing all the trim. It took three months to get the part in that they needed. It took nine months to get the windows in from the time that we ordered them.
It worked out and I put a lot of that to our contractor. I'm doing additional work and the fact that he was authorized by Andersen with the extended warranty was a big deal for me. He was great in terms of trying to make the best out of a potentially very bad situation. It took less time than it would have taken to redo the order with the right windows. It ended up saving Andersen some money because they would have taken a huge hit and loss had they had to redo the whole order. I appreciate the contractor to think out of the box and find a solution. I've recommended Andersen and this contractor to a bunch of neighbors.

The main window, the big picture window, is in our living room and I love it. Super happy. We wanted to get higher efficient windows in. We can tell the difference on our monthly heating bill already. My experience was awesome until Andersen delivered the wrong windows. I was upset. We had replaced half our windows in our house. And the wrong window was delivered for the two biggest ones. Everybody at Andersen was, "Don't know that even happened." They told my installer, "There's nothing we can do. You guys are so far out. It probably will be months before we see the window." They were a different model. It came from a different warehouse. And it shut our job site down because I was getting the siding done as well and they couldn't do that. I felt disappointed on the way it was handled. I wouldn't be able to put a rush order on it. There was nothing they could do and that we were just screwed.
It ended up being a job site in the same area, which was lucky being done at the exact same time and they put in to have those returned as well. So, they were able to switch the windows. They got a truck and picked them up. Andersen Windows handled it well. When they did found the windows, they handled it correctly. But I was bummed because you can't do siding in Minnesota in the middle of winter. And this was the end of fall. It cost me a little extra money because I had to pay the person installing because they get out, they could only install half. I had to pay them more to come back out and install the windows again. I had my installer, but a direct phone call from Andersen would have been appreciated, "This is what we're doing. This is what we can do," reasonings. All the information I got was from my installer.

It wasn't like a generic window. I had 12 windows altogether. I put 10 in, which took a day, and then two which took less than a day. My house was built before 1920. Some of the windows didn't open. I had the old rope and weight inside. Some of them broke off. When it'd be windy out, 25 miles, my windows will rattle. But, the first night they put them in, there was a fire truck that pulled up outside and I never heard it. That's how sealed up the house is. It would have woken me up before.

I've had Andersen Windows in the past and I’ve been happy with them. I recently put all new windows in the home and a sliding glass door. My guys were excellent. I know them from Baltimore. And I sent them to a Delaware property that I own. I use them for clients as well. And they're always trustworthy. Their prices are reasonable for the quality. When they took my sliding glass door out, they noticed that I had a rotted seal. And instead of just putting the new door in, they went to the hardware store. They got lumber. They refortified it before installing the door. So, they go beyond and above. My products' quality is good. Their durability is lengthy. And it's easy to order replacement parts or screens if you need them.

I purchased an Andersen 3000 storm door and installation through Home Depot. Everything was great until yesterday, exactly 1 week later, the screen and glass slid out of the frame to the bottom of the door on its own. The door self closes so it wasn’t slammed, just poor quality control or poor craftsmanship. I assumed Andersen was the best, I should’ve came here and seen that 1 star reviews almost equal 5 star reviews. Had I done my research, I’d probably have gone elsewhere.

I built a new home in 2020 that included an Andersen 200 series sliding patio door. Whenever there is a breeze air is leaking through the center seal. The local tech was called but couldn’t repair it. I have called several times but he will not call back. I contacted Andersen and showed them the problem with the seal. The tech felt the seal was defective and sent me a new one. The new seal is made the same way. It appears there is a problem in the manufacturing of the seal. I asked to talk to engineering but they would not allow that. I have spent many hours on the phone and have not gotten anywhere in resolving this issue. This door is defective and Andersen refuses to acknowledge that they have a problem.

My husband has got Andersen Windows in his house from over 30 years ago. But we got one window that needs to be fixed and we just had the sliding doors put in. We were going to wait till it gets warmer out because there are two blinds pinched inside the sliding door and it looks like they're gonna drip water off the blind. So we got the blinds inside the door. The guy put them in and I called him and he said they could come out and just put that in. It’s not a problem. But we weren't going to have him come back out and do it because he just put them in and it was cold. I told him I wanted to wait until it's a little warmer. He said I could call whenever I want and I can wait till summer. He was a nice guy and I was very happy with him.
The sliding door is the only thing I got in and I love it. I like the choices that I had of the doors. There were have a lot. And I liked the colors. So we are adding some plywood to raise the floor inside, so it matches and seems to be flush, which is not flush by design. The sealed internal had 161 blind panels on one door and 160 on the defective side. Now I have to take responsibility to change out all mechanical parts and reinstall the replacement. I've always liked Andersen Windows. So, when they offered an impact window and we decided to upgrade our house, we chose to go with it instead of having those little tarps things that go over your windows or wood over your windows during a hurricane. I called up Ford Lumber from Alabama because they supply the impact windows. The tech came out. And I asked him the different windows and he was obviously sold on Andersen because he sells a lot of them. He also offered other things. But we chose the Andersen because of the reputation.
The installation crew was great. But we waited a long time for the Andersen Windows. Also, a lot of the stuff was damaged when they arrived. There are three items that were damaged, one being we have a four-unit sliding door. And inside, they're double windows. I thought it wasn’t cleaned off until I realized it was. It was damp, marked in the inside of the windows, between one of the windows. That on one of the sliders, and there are two sashes. Different windows, but two lower sashes.
Once they were all in, they're beautiful. There are many things we paid, and we paid a fortune for these windows. We had the things that were damaged prior to arriving to us pre-painted. So, we have the inside white and the outside was another color. But two pieces of trim were the natural wood. They were never painted. We're still waiting on those to come in. I'm looking at our sliders have these two unfinished pieces of regular color wood on either side. More than what I thought should have happened with Andersen. Andersen is known for the quality. And we paid a lot more than my sister did. We could have had that to save. It's still an impact window. Our impact window is not rated any higher than hers. It's just that it was an Andersen window. We know what we hear about them. But that lacked.
We started this whole thing in the early part of this year and we still are not done. And we're getting ready to go into 2023. There's no reason for the alarm system guys to add what they need to to the ones that are missing now until Andersen is totally done. We're missing a door that has to be replaced and two sashes. So, it's three windows that we can have alarmed. So, we would not have them come all the way out here and pay them to come out because it would have cost us, and just for us to tell them, “Hey. And by the way, we have three things that are going to be replaced, so you get come out again.”
We contacted Ford Lumber and they said, “We're doing the best we can do. Andersen hasn't gotten them to us.” So, this is a bit disheartening considering we've already paid. When they got done in October, we paid 100%. Everybody is paid. We could have said, “We're not gonna for this door and those two windows because they're wrong. They're bad.” I paid 100% to everybody because they were installed. But we have not gotten our product. My husband is disappointed and he has made it known to everybody that he wants his house alarmed. We have no security in our house right now.
Andersen is not the only one that costs us money. So did Ford Lumber. We know how business is. We didn’t 100% to Andersen Windows. Part of our payment was for Ford Lumber's part. That's their job. So, for I can't reach out to Ford Lumber and have to jump hoops and ask Andersen Windows to do their thing. Ford Lumber is doing what they're supposed to. I would love to contact Andersen, but I'm afraid I'm going to jump over somebody, and I don't want to get Ford Lumber upset.

I chose Andersen because they're almost the best of the windows. I ordered them and they're fine, except two of the doors were put in incorrectly, and last winter, I had snow inside the house. I waited. Finally, they fixed one door, but they also have to take off all the trim around the sliding glass doors so they can be put in properly, which wasn't done. Andersen's coming next Thursday, and the trim is coming off. I've been waiting for a repair of the Andersen door for over a year, and I'm up to my eyeballs with this, but it's not Andersen's fault. It's the contractor. However, I know they have to be very tactful because they like my contractor and he buys a lot of Andersen products.
I have a lot of windows as well, and I have no fault with them. Everything that was put in properly works properly. In fact, I got Andersen windows with the construction, and then I was having a porch converted to a room. It was very well done. However, I didn't know and I wasn't asked if I'd like the lip to lift the windows up, so I didn't even think about it. The windows that I didn't need to replace were Andersen and they had the lip. The new windows arrived without any lip and they were very hard to open, practically impossible, because there's no place to put my hand. I'm not impressed with Andersen Windows. Every window has screws exposed that are shown and I feel like that's very poor quality, except for our picture windows which look beautiful. The quality of the cuts where the handle is to lift the window, you can see chipping on the corners of where they notched the part out. You can tell it was done by hand. If they had a machine do it, it'd be a lot cleaner.
We paid almost $35,000 to get new windows and this is the kind of quality that they're giving me. None of them are symmetrical. One is notched out at a 45, one is 90. Then some of the corners are rounded off to where it's chipped away at the corner, and then some are smooth. We also have two small picture windows and they don't have any screw holes exposed. Then we have this larger one above our sink and there are screw holes exposed. So why is one picture window done like that but this one isn't?
We didn't get high-end windows, but definitely not cheap windows. I definitely would have gone with a different brand had I known that was the quality we were going to receive. The problems that I have should have already been solved with a huge company like Andersen. It's not like they're an up-and-coming company. This is a reputable name company and I expected high-end quality. I felt like that did not live up to the money that I spent. I would not recommend them.

Purchased 2 casement new construction 400 series windows. One window has 3 operators the other has 2. Each operator's base has one of two brass screws missing. Contacted company. Received 5 screws in the mail today for owner to install. Lack of attention to detail on the production line or company determined only 1 screw is needed,?

I've had a couple of small issues, but the installer has been helping me with that. One lock broke and popped off so they're gonna replace that. Also, two of the window panes broke very quickly. When we moved to this house, half of the house had Andersen Windows that were probably placed in 2001 and half the house didn't. What we had replaced were the ones that hadn't been replaced. But the panes have changed. They used to have a hole drilled into the window itself. Now, they just sit in there and I’m finding that frustrating. They’re not as good as the old panes. They ordered new panes for me and they replaced those. They’ve been super nice, very communicative, and very helpful.

The reps were fantastic. They were very professional and did a great job. The timeline was a bit protracted though. They said there were some supply chain issues, and they had some difficulty obtaining part of the window. But they told us how long it was going to take and their estimate was accurate so there wasn't a problem with that. We appreciate the estimate being accurate. We had a custom window put in and it was an odd space. The house is a hundred years old and Andersen needed to match the rest of the windows so it's almost like a custom project. So far, the window looks fantastic. The installation was great so we're happy with it.

The installation by my contractor was great and the windows are wonderful. The quality is fabulous. It's doing exactly what I need it to do. It matches the rest of the windows in my house. But we're still waiting on the mosquito screen to come in, which I know is backordered.

My husband and I purchased $3036.15 in replacement sashes for our Andersen windows that are 25 years old. We were very happy with the quality of the old windows. The new sashes are 1 year and 9 days old and are falling apart. The weather strips on the outside of the windows are coming off and all Andersen is willing to do is send us a tube of glue and some new weather strips. This is unacceptable. The quality good quality of Andersen is no longer there and they have terrible customer service.
Thank you for your review. Andersen has set up a service job to address your manufacturing concerns. Andersen will address issues in the manufacturing process and will send out replacement parts to resolve those issues. If you have additional concerns, please reach out at 855-337-8825. Thank you.

We went with Renewal by Andersen, assuming that that was part of Andersen. We had a window that needed to be renewed. We had terrible experience. A man came, he looked at it, and he went on the computer. The price jumped up, which wound up being four times the amount. There had been breakage to the large window in the middle and I needed it itemized so I can put it into a claim with my insurance company. The man said they do not do that. Their windows are so good that people pay straight out and don't go through insurance. It was insane and that comment made no sense. People do not portray themselves in business that way.
Instead of giving up on Andersen, I called again and this time it was just the Andersen number. I got somebody who was very informational about the difference between that company and the other Andersen company I was talking to and gave me the name of someone. We called him and we explained what we wanted. He said he needed to come and look at our window. A week later, he still hadn't called us back to make an appointment. I called him and he said, "I work on $30,000 jobs. I don't have really time to do a window like that." That was unacceptable for a business.
Andersen has some people representing them that are not up to working for the benefit of the company. But I still wanted Andersen. I called the number back and told the rep what happened. She said she was going to report that to somebody. She then gave me another number and this time, I was really apprehensive. But I called this number and the people were wonderful. A woman came to our house three times to answer our questions before they wound up doing the job. The day they were supposed to put the window in, the crew came and she stayed on the site the whole time as a helper. She had two workers that were working on the window and they did a lovely job. Once again, Andersen shined through somehow.
Overall, we wound up waiting a while for the window but that's understandable in today's world. I love the Andersen Windows. I would tell others, "Be aware. If you have trouble, just keep calling back until you get a company that you feel comfortable with, which is what we did. And I'm glad because I'm happy with the whole thing."

Our window from Andersen is in an awkward placement. It was above sliding doors, but other than that, it is fine.

I needed a single-pane window that was 6 feet tall by 12 feet wide. The installers came in when they said they were going to. They did well. The quality is great. Andersen did a good job. Use them.

The size isn't always right. If things go wrong, Andersen can fix it. They have a good contracting network. The timeline was out of their rep's control. It's just product unavailability. But I found him to be pleasant. We got it done and it works great. The techs were nice and professional. They cleaned up well and the quality work was good. I had a sliding door installed and I was very satisfied.

Andersen quality speaks for itself. We had a great installation experience. We live on the water and the wind is unbelievable. We had a strong storm soon after the install was completed and didn't have any wind whistle or water intrusion. Our door screen is on backorder and should be delivered in a couple of months, but that's a factory issue, not the fault of the installer.

Andersen Windows gave me a refund for the part I ordered. I still believe the door frame should have been built stronger to accommodate the wear the screws placed on the opening and closing of the handle. Thank you for the refund.
Original Review: Oct. 25, 2021
My storm door handle mechanism failed due to the durability of the frame. The frame is supposed to be covered lifetime. After many phone calls without a solution from Andersen we are still left with a malfunctioning door. We are are very disappointed in their response and will no longer purchase their products. I have recommended Andersen to my family but I will no longer do that. They would not even offer to replace the frame for us. They placed all the blame on us! WARNING…their warranty is false.
Thank you for your review. The lifetime warranty of the door's frame is considered hinges and latch rails. The panel the hardware sits in is not lifetime. The door panel had been modified for larger screws. Andersen does not have an alternate screw pack to accommodate those changes. This is not considered a manufacturing defect, which is what Andersen covers under the warranty.

We are home builders. We built our custom home this year 2021. We had decided on Andersen 100 series windows & gliding doors because Andersen advertises they are superior and they back their products. We were going back and forth on installing Milgard Trinsic, Marvin windows or Andersen Windows. I researched for months as we had specific needs, black interior & black exterior were a must. We went with the Andersen 100 series because we thought they were better than vinyl due to Andersen proclaiming they are superior on quality & longevity.
Unfortunately we have had a couple major manufacturer's defects and Andersen’s warranty process is a joke. They are claiming it is not a warranty issue because the door is within their 1/8” tolerance. Our gliding door is warping and bowing at the bottom. It is pushing into the house when it is cold at night. Then when it heats up the door moves back out. The door has separated from the drywall, baseboard & stucco. The door has a huge gap at the top center letting weather, bugs & dust into our home. The operation is tough and noisy. This door was $2,000 and it is junk. The outside trim pieces are warping also and separating from the frame. Our casement window leaks water when it rains. And several other windows also have warping trim pieces separating from the frame. Our house is 5 months new.
Andersen Windows Warranty is really not a warranty it’s a gimmick. They do not cover any labor. They do not cover what seems like anything. I have been getting the run around for months. I will never use an Andersen product again. I will never recommend an Andersen product either. I am so disappointed that we built our Modern Custom Home using Andersen Windows. The windows have really devalued our home. Now we are left having to buy Milgard products and paying to have these manufacturers defective Andersen Windows replaced at our expense. Buyer Beware. Andersen Windows does not back its products! I highly recommend going with Milgard or even Plygem as their products are better and their warranty & customer service is superior to Andersen Windows!

My house was built in 2009. Sure the windows looked great upon installation. So would a window made from tissue paper. It's now 2021 and we have to replace them all. Every window in my house has to be replaced. Andersen came out a few years after installation and repainted all of the exterior frames because the finished failed miserably. But, what they were really doing was buying time to kick the can past the 10 year warranty. Every sill is warped. Every. Single. One. When the sill warps (bows upward), the window doesn't sit flush on the bottom and as such, nothing seals or aligns anymore.
So, now I own a home on the coast of Maine loaded with Andersen top-of-the-line windows and every winter I pump peel-and-stick silicone around the seams to keep out the draft. Some of the windows are so bad that you couldn't hold a candle near them in the winter wind. It would blow out from the draft. We contacted the builder and he was very upset. He lost his shirt on Andersen garbage and will not install another one. You are paying for a label. If Andersen replaced all of them for free - it would be a tough decision. They suck that bad.
