I know of Andersen because I get flyers, but I didn't get them because they're Andersen. I got them because the company I use uses them. We got bedroom windows and doors. And I don't really interact with the windows very much at this point in the year. Our old ones have the gaps, and the middle was getting all messed up. But they're clear now. They look beautiful. And the installation was quick. So, I'm happy.

A friend got Andersen, and I saw what she had. So, that’s why I chose them. I got eight double-hung windows, and I had a good experience. They told me that it would just take a few days for the replacement. The installation was easy, and the guy did it cleanly. It wasn’t disrupting my life. And I have four more on order for next year.

We had 18 double-hung windows put in back in October. The replacement took three months, but the installation went very good. They did one window at a time. They would put plastic, almost like little rooms in front of the windows so they don’t get dirty. You couldn't feel the cold coming in the windows when they were installing them. They were really great with that.

There were a couple of windows that had some kind of little plastic piece on the inside that the installers were not happy with. And so, there were three windows that they ordered replacement pieces for. They haven't come back to put them in yet, but they said it was an easy part to replace.

I don't know how long it takes for the replacement parts to come in, but we're still waiting for that to happen. Then they have to reschedule them on the contractor's timeline. But so far, so good.

We're happy with the windows. We haven't had to open or close them a whole lot yet because it got cold. We live on a street that has a lot of traffic, and we noticed that we don’t hear the road noise as much. It's a lot quieter, and that's been the biggest change.

My husband worked in commercial construction for 40 years, and he always used Andersen. I later found out that their installation was not as good. I don't like heavy advertising, and I've become very suspicious that I'm helping pay for that advertising.

I just put in brand new windows with a local company. It took about two months for them to come in. When the installer came, he also was not very complimentary of Andersen. I had three case windows put in the Florida room, and it went in beautifully. They did it in one day, and I was very pleased. Quite honestly, I'd do it again.

I have a couple of Pella windows in my house, because my husband did the specialty design, and Andersen doesn't do that or, at least, we didn't approach Andersen. But everything else is Andersen.

I would say they are my preference. I have a big house and did the windows piecemeal over the last five years in order to be able to afford it. I wasn't gonna pour out $25,000 for windows, but the quality is outstanding. I'm sitting in the room right now and it is not cold in here.

Andersen is what my house plans were drawn with, so we just put Andersen in. I still live in the same house with Andersen 400 Series windows. A month ago, a window fell apart and I had it replaced. The outer shell and the inner shell split apart and was leaking. The vinyl coating on the outside of the windows is failing on all my windows. It's like a plastic vacuum-form coating on the 400 Series. It's coming loose and splitting at the seams. After 22 years of 400 series Andersen Windows, I would never buy them again.

My experience with Andersen is good overall. I’ve had three different installations with them, and the installers were great. And if I ever needed windows or doors again, I would call them first.

The only thing is that when you have to order customs, I guess it'd be nice to have a little bit more status and information. I ordered a storm door one time, and it took about three months to get it. And I'd call in and ask where it is, and they’d say it’s in the process. When stuff's just in stock or if it's 30 days, that's no big deal. But when you have something that takes longer, it'd be nice just to make sure that they didn't forget about you, or got lost in the shuffle somewhere.

I bought replacement parts for my doors. I was offered a quote for installation so I clicked yes, thinking a quote would be sent to me. I get an email telling me to call for my quote so I called. I experienced a complex 6 step phone tree that took me nowhere. I hit zero and got to a human being. I was directed back to my email which included a link. I clicked the link only to find that I had to look up local installers and get my own quote. Why even offer it if you are making me do it myself. I could have saved a lot of time.

My contractor happened to be someone who represented Andersen Windows, and he thought they were one of the better ones. I purchased a hundred grand worth of windows for the whole house. We started in April and they already did half of my house. However, there were windows they couldn't get to until furniture was removed and supplies got here.

I haven't had any problems on the ones they have completed. They're good quality windows. I got some quotes from Andersen and others back in 2020, and the price has since doubled. I was shocked how much they have gone up in five years.

We recently installed a beautiful patio in our backyard, and we just had a regular-sized door going out into it. So, I wanted a sliding door installed that would fit in the parameters that we have on our back wall. So, Lakeview Builders came out and measured it, and I arranged for the door and sent a deposit.

They told me it would be four weeks, and it was. They came out, and opened up the space to fit the door in, and then discovered that the door they had was too big. They put the wrong size door on the order that they submitted to Andersen. So, it wasn't Andersen's fault. It was their fault. Because then I double-checked the purchase order, and it said 72 inches.

So, they had to order the correct size door, and I had to wait five more weeks. In the meantime, they had to seal up the opening that they had made with plywood. But I did finally get the door five weeks later. They came back promptly and installed it.

I live in the northern zone, and I'm not feeling any cold air coming in. We've just had it in for a month. So far, it's good. I am happy with the door and the work that they did installing the door.

I purchased a back sliding door from Andersen. It took a lot longer than I expected because I didn't realize that it would take more than a couple of months for them to get the product and install. It’s not a store-bought product. They actually cut the pieces and build it itself. When they found out when they were getting the product, they immediately scheduled me.

Two guys came out for the install and got it done in less than a day. The quality looks great. The one thing that I'm not satisfied with is it did not fully encase the actual door frame of the cutout. The door is a little shorter than my two side windows. It looks like a bay window with a door. I believe they did not measure the actual window correctly to fill out the whole frame. Before the trim was placed, you could see gaps between the top of the door frame that was purchased and then the wood frame that's on the house. They just did a spray foam to fill that in. Other than that, I'm very happy with the overall end product.

I just bought this house a year ago. I'm not familiar with windows and everything. I purchased an extra window from Andersen for a room upstairs. The guy came, showed me the window, and gave me an estimate for the cost and time of the installation. The only issue was the delivery did not show up in the day they said. It took an extra two weeks. It was in the timeline window, so I didn't have to wait the 10 weeks. I don't know what happened, only that the guy had to make some arrangements.

Once he got the window, he just came the same weekend. He was professional and did an excellent job. I was here all day with him. I can't complain about it. I recommend the company 100%. They know what they're doing and they really like to work with the customers. The window looks pretty nice and it’s the best quality around here. Plus, it’s got 50-year or unlimited warranty. Prices are very good too.

I chose Andersen because I thought they had the best reputation, but I did not have a good experience with them, especially with the Andersen-certified people. The salesman was excellent, though. We spent $30,000 on these doors, and it took five months to have them installed. And in those five months, Andersen held $10,000 deposit, which is ridiculous. We could have been getting interest on that money somewhere else.

At first, they said it was gonna be four to six weeks until the doors came in, which is fine. And then, finally, the doors came in, and we were scheduled to have them installed, but they canceled. This happened two times. The first time was because they said the doors came in damaged. The second time was because they said the frames didn’t come in.

They called me for the third install, and she gave me a date in October. I told her I can't get down to the shore that time because it is gonna be our shore house now, and the summer is over, so we’re not gonna be down there. But I told her to have it installed the date they accommodated us. She called me back and gave me the date all the way at the end of the month.

In the end, my husband went down to the shore. They came and installed it, but they were missing a piece. At this point, my husband told them that we’re not paying the final payment until the piece comes. So, they drove the piece there. And the guys came back just to realize that they had put the doors in backwards.

It's only been since the end of October that the doors are in there. And we're not down there now. It looks really nice, and I hope it goes well.

We received two Andersen windows. They promised that the replacement would take four weeks, but we waited for two months. However, the installation went fine. The installers did a good job and didn't take a long time.

The windows we got are double casement and have four meshes. One window has a broken lock so I cannot lock it in place. The other one doesn't fit the window frame, so I cannot put the meshes in. So out of the four meshes, two are not done right and doesn't fit.

The distributor will come tomorrow to look at the defects. I hope that after that, we will receive one which will satisfy the requirements. Overall, we're happy with the installation.

Andersen Windows was able to give me the type of window that I wanted, which was wood on the inside and aluminum on the outside. The other ones I had looked at were not able to do that. The installation went very well. We used Redgate Construction and they came as they said they were gonna do early every morning at 6:30. They were polite. They worked all day, got the job done, and cleaned up after themselves. Everything went very well. They were very confident that nothing could come up that would prevent them from doing a good job.

I'm very happy with my Andersen Windows. They're good quality. But they cost a honking lot of money. My job was $123,000 with the windows and the contractor, so it was very expensive. But my house is a brick house so there was no room for error. They measured a couple of times to make sure that they ordered the right thing. When they came in, everything went in like a glove. Everything went well. It had taken me two and a half years to get to the point of getting the window project done and I was happy with finally getting it over. Andersen has been the worse customer experience ever! I will NEVER buy another Andersen product. Issues-

    1) Storm door was backordered for 3-4 weeks.

    2) On arrival parts were missing from box or were the wrong size. The missing parts have been since provided. However the incorrect size part (door sweep) remains unresolved despite contacting customer service.

    3) When I called customer service they are incompetent. I am on my 4th phone call. They sent wrong replacement parts twice. I have arguing to get the correct part & showed issues on video calls twice. I even presented the installation instructions to prove my point! Also they ask you to submit your purchasing documents EVERY time you call. I finally said I would not provide it again on my 3rd call. Further on call 3 or 4 the representative did not actually place the order. So I waited 2 weeks for a part that was not actually ordered.

    4) When you call customer service the representatives insist that they have sent the correct parts. Although the installation part list & images on the Andersen Website prove they are in error!

    5) Promised supervisor calls never occur. I have been told on 3 separate days that a supervisor would contact me. The representative informed me that the phone number I provided was not in service. However, the number was correct AND has been in continuous service for approximately 20 years. I was actually calling them utilizing that phone number on the days the supervisor was calling. So they are trying to tell me my phone was out of service on 3 non-sequential days which is just a lie!

    6) Call center is unlikely to based in USA or employ native English speakers. Hence, conversations are not simple exchanges. I had to spell aloud each number & letter in my name & STREET address. My first name & street name are common words with standard spellings and far from unique.

It had to be shipped in from somewhere else. It took a month but we weren't in any hurry. I'm so happy with our installer, AP Windows. It was a difficult installation because we don't live in a normal house with sheetrock and internal structures. We live in a Lindal cedar home, which is like a log cabin, but it's tongue and groove. It's cedar inside and out so it made the installation more tricky because then they had to saw through those big logs to make it fit exactly and make it level. But they did a great job.

The final product is great. Sometimes it's really hard to open but that's 'cause it's really well-sealed. The only tricky part for us was we didn't realize how difficult it was gonna be for old people to get up and down on ladder. My husband's 80 and I'm 75. One of them was Renewal by Andersen, and there was another company that came out, but they were a no go.

From the beginning, the other company was not comfortable with building a window with no existing window there, so that went by the wayside. Renewal was next, and when I explained to them what had happened with the other company, they said, “I really think we need to connect you with Andersen Windows directly. Not Renewal.” I said. “Okay. Who can you help me out with?” They referred me to a contractor out of Willoughby, Lakeview Builders.

Andersen Windows offered the window I wanted, a bay window with five parts, and the service was good. The customer service was also good, and I'm happy with the product.

Andersen Windows was a recommendation from a cousin who was with them previously and I was very happy with the way everything went. Their team was in and out, cleaned up everything and did an excellent job. There is some difference in one room that used to get very warm from the sun’s rays and bake your skin off. It seems like it's a lot cooler in there. So, they're very well doing their job.

I have had nothing but trouble with Andersen windows. The double hungs leak air, snow & rain. Three of mine, to date, have buckled exterior sills allowing water to seep in! I’m slowly trashing these & replacing with Weathergard. Andersen used to be high quality, but no longer.

Problem after problem, I don’t think they have a quality control department. The grills on casement window making noise and move inside windows. Handle falling off another. Another window comes out of track, when you try and tilt in. Another one makes noise when opening and closing. Have done at least 5 video chats. Manager was supposed to call back it 1-2 days after I talked to him. Here it is 4 weeks later still no call back. Very poor quality control and customer support.

We thought we were getting a better product than the big box stores but that is not true. Very disappointed in Andersen and will not be purchasing again. Just save your money and go to Lowe's or Home Depot.
