If I could give Andersen a ZERO I would. Unfortunately for me, I purchased 15 Andersen Series 100 replacement windows. Two are picture windows that have 10 hideous screws sticking out of the window frame on the inside. They are not flush with the frame, each protrudes by up to 1/4 of an inch. Other window companies normally provide a piece of trim to add to cover such screws, but not Andersen.

I talked to three different customer service staff about the protruding screws, which are an obvious manufacturer design defect in the Series 100 line where all the sash windows of the series have the screws covered. The corporate customer service rep., who claimed to be "senior" was the worst of all. She asked if the installer had disclosed in advance that the screws would be sticking out -blaming the installer. She insinuated that "my expectations" were the problem, as if it is unusual that a customer would anticipate trim to cover installation screws for a streamline and finished appearance in a professionally installed picture window. Thus, in addition to having a poor quality design of the window, Anderson gets an F from me for the customer service. Better to buy from a better window company ---avoid Andersen.

I replaced my doors and windows with new Andersen products 16 years ago. I also have the rest of my home with older Marvin products. All of the Andersen products need repair or replacement; all of the Marvin products are still like new. The doors consist of a) two large sliding doors (4 panel, exterior), b) 2 French doors to exterior (standard size), handles do not work, and c) one kitchen window, hardware is broken. Andersen Replacement came out and looked at the doors and came back with an estimate of $100,000 to replace after a discount of $30,000. They did not even provide an estimate to fix just the hardware that isn't working. Also, their claim on the advertisement that replacing with Andersen doors and windows add 10% to the value of the home borders on lying. This estimate was taken from an Andersen survey and is not a scientific survey. Actual data based on scientific surveys shows roughly a 70% return on investment.

We would recommend to anyone. We are very happy since we replaced all of our weather shield terrible windows that ALWAYS leaked and iced up to 10 inches in the winter 3 years ago, NO PROBLEMS SINCE. We also just put in a new sliding glass door and again are thrilled with the whole package. They may cost more but we learned you get what you pay for.

Absolutely frustrating experience. The level of incompetence and lack of attention to detail was mind-boggling. Our mailing address is long and required a 2nd line for the apartment number. It took 5 different phone calls up to corporate and they still didn't get it right. Finally our local post office supervisor figured it out and and communicated the correct address to the postal driver. It took 6 weeks to receive our very small package. Never again!

I am a homeowner going through renovation at this time so cash flow is at a minimum. Basically told the issues at hand were normal for the door. Top window has a space for fresh air I guess. And the tabs allowing the screen to slide in the track are misaligned scratching the channel.

All of my windows and doors are Andersen. Overall, I am satisfied. In this specific case, I am disappointed that Andersen is not standing by their product. I purchased a replacement storm door in September of 2020. There is a five year warranty, so I missed the warranty period by 5 months. The inside bottom frame of the storm door discolored and is yellow. I tried cleaning it to no avail. I cannot fathom why the frame turned yellow and only along the one bottom strip. I am now making home improvements, so obviously I do not want a white door with a yellow strip. Andersen informed me that I would need to pay $71 for the replacement part. I'm not paying for something that was a malfunction of the product and not caused by me. Andersen should stand by the product and do the right thing.

I had Andersen E series windows installed in my home in March 2025. Two of my awning windows do not close properly and air is leaking through and the vertical slider in the bathroom shuffles back and forth when trying to open. When I reached out to Andersen about these issues I was disgusted by their response. They were very rude on the phone and refused to discuss possible solutions, when I asked about their warranty and guarantee they were dismissive of any responsibility and refused to engage in any useful conversation on how to correct the defects. I am appalled by Andersen Windows’ lack of accountability when issues arose, they clearly do not stand by their product. Their only suggestion was to send my case over to their lawyers.

I even went back to Andersen windows, (as they sold me the finance package with the windows) for help and they have not been helpful either. If I do not get any help soon, I may have refinance the windows with a higher interest rate in order to keep my credit score and not have late payments filed.

When this was brought to the salesman’s attention, no solution was offered other than paying for two additional windows. I hoped paying $18,000 guaranteed a quality job.

Andersen series 300 3/4 light triple track universal white 36x80 SKU US 754-774. The door split on the bottom panel and they're calling it rot. The door was only on my household 2 years and has a 10-year warranty. They provided me an approval for replacing the door panel only. But I asked for a paper warranty to be mailed to me. I've tried three times to get the warranty. The fourth time I called now instead of 3 or 4 days to receive it they're telling me 14 days not counting weekends and holidays unlike with a previously told me in text messaging.

I'm a disabled veteran stuck at home with no transportation. This store is costing me a fee to go pick up the door. I have to hire someone to install the door which I previously had a contractor do it that is no longer involved in this project. I find Andersen has made me assume responsibility for this doors cost More than the door is valued. It is a lousy door. It is their fault that is like it is but yet I have to pay more money out of pocket because of their faulty product and their bad response time to get a warranty via mail. I will never buy an Andersen's product again and I recommend no one does.

Made a good faith appointment; provided Andersen all the information requested; then it began! Andersen must have a 1000 different telephone numbers. My phone blew up with calls and text; received emails too. The messages all said they needed to verify my info. I bit the 1st time; got asked all the same questions; but it kept coming, an endless stream of calls and text. I ignored the calls and text after that second encounter. Day of appointment, and just 30 minutes before the appointment I received a VM saying they couldn't verify my information, so they had to reschedule; please call.

I called, and the agent immedialy said; "We apologize, but we do not have a representative available in your area today, and we need to reschedule.' Well! Which is it; verify info, or lack of employees? Take away whatever you think here, but my take is two fold; unprofessional top call 30 minutes before an appointment with a personnel issue, or being lied to, not to mention the harassment of dozens of calls txts and emails - all to hype their marketing approach. One thing they kept harping on was ensuring my wife was at the appointment. That's that time share ploy.

I studied marketing and was a business to business executive. Andersen wants both decision makers in the room to pull on emotions; mitigate the possible reluctance, and hopefully get the couple to sign a contract that day. I take a minimum of 3 bids on every job; recommend everyone do this. It's a shame; Andersen windows are a quality product, but not an exclusive. You'll pay 1/2 for high quality replacement windows from other competitors. Steer Clear in my opinion.

We had 18 double-hung windows put in back in October. The replacement took three months, but the installation went very good. They did one window at a time. They would put plastic, almost like little rooms in front of the windows so they don’t get dirty. You couldn't feel the cold coming in the windows when they were installing them. They were really great with that.

There were a couple of windows that had some kind of little plastic piece on the inside that the installers were not happy with. And so, there were three windows that they ordered replacement pieces for. They haven't come back to put them in yet, but they said it was an easy part to replace.

I don't know how long it takes for the replacement parts to come in, but we're still waiting for that to happen. Then they have to reschedule them on the contractor's timeline. But so far, so good.

We're happy with the windows. We haven't had to open or close them a whole lot yet because it got cold. We live on a street that has a lot of traffic, and we noticed that we don’t hear the road noise as much. It's a lot quieter, and that's been the biggest change.

My husband worked in commercial construction for 40 years, and he always used Andersen. I later found out that their installation was not as good. I don't like heavy advertising, and I've become very suspicious that I'm helping pay for that advertising.

I just put in brand new windows with a local company. It took about two months for them to come in. When the installer came, he also was not very complimentary of Andersen. I had three case windows put in the Florida room, and it went in beautifully. They did it in one day, and I was very pleased. Quite honestly, I'd do it again.

I have a couple of Pella windows in my house, because my husband did the specialty design, and Andersen doesn't do that or, at least, we didn't approach Andersen. But everything else is Andersen.

I would say they are my preference. I have a big house and did the windows piecemeal over the last five years in order to be able to afford it. I wasn't gonna pour out $25,000 for windows, but the quality is outstanding. I'm sitting in the room right now and it is not cold in here.

The only thing is that when you have to order customs, I guess it'd be nice to have a little bit more status and information. I ordered a storm door one time, and it took about three months to get it. And I'd call in and ask where it is, and they’d say it’s in the process. When stuff's just in stock or if it's 30 days, that's no big deal. But when you have something that takes longer, it'd be nice just to make sure that they didn't forget about you, or got lost in the shuffle somewhere.

We recently installed a beautiful patio in our backyard, and we just had a regular-sized door going out into it. So, I wanted a sliding door installed that would fit in the parameters that we have on our back wall. So, Lakeview Builders came out and measured it, and I arranged for the door and sent a deposit.

They told me it would be four weeks, and it was. They came out, and opened up the space to fit the door in, and then discovered that the door they had was too big. They put the wrong size door on the order that they submitted to Andersen. So, it wasn't Andersen's fault. It was their fault. Because then I double-checked the purchase order, and it said 72 inches.

So, they had to order the correct size door, and I had to wait five more weeks. In the meantime, they had to seal up the opening that they had made with plywood. But I did finally get the door five weeks later. They came back promptly and installed it.

I live in the northern zone, and I'm not feeling any cold air coming in. We've just had it in for a month. So far, it's good. I am happy with the door and the work that they did installing the door.

I purchased a back sliding door from Andersen. It took a lot longer than I expected because I didn't realize that it would take more than a couple of months for them to get the product and install. It’s not a store-bought product. They actually cut the pieces and build it itself. When they found out when they were getting the product, they immediately scheduled me.

Two guys came out for the install and got it done in less than a day. The quality looks great. The one thing that I'm not satisfied with is it did not fully encase the actual door frame of the cutout. The door is a little shorter than my two side windows. It looks like a bay window with a door. I believe they did not measure the actual window correctly to fill out the whole frame. Before the trim was placed, you could see gaps between the top of the door frame that was purchased and then the wood frame that's on the house. They just did a spray foam to fill that in. Other than that, I'm very happy with the overall end product.
