I purchased my second TV-Dvd player and it is unbelievable. It took us compak 5 minutes to set up and the one I just purchased is a 32 inch. The quality is perfect and the sound is amazing. Why I purchased the 2nd one is the fact of their Customer Service Support which is outstanding. I had to call them and ask a question and it took less than 2 minutes to reach a "live operator", and I was done in a minute. Try this with another company. You won't find this type of support at all. When you purchase a product you have to consider Price/Quality/ and the Sound but you have to look at "Customer Support" and this company has it all. I plan to buy 2 more for each of my grandchildren for Christmas. One amazing experience for me...
I have owned multiple Sceptre TVs. I would say for the money it's a good value, however, if you're looking to actually hear anything you will need a soundbar that is not made by Sceptre. I would rate the TVs at a four if it wasn't for the fact you can't hear anything even at maximum level. The Soundbar is beyond subpar, not to mention it has minimal intelligence. You can press the volume up button and most of the time it just shuts off. The soundbars are a complete and utter waste of money. That said... the TV is worth the money if you're on a budget. There just is no sound because they use inferior speakers.
Sceptre will not give tech support on a newly purchased, warrantied TV without a $5 charge. The sound is irritatingly poor. Never was it indicated upon sale, a charge would be levied. TV 24" M24H246BDC2358. RAEA
Our TV stopped working within 2 months of purchase, we talked to Sceptre and they agreed to replace it under warranty if we sent it back to them. That was 6 months ago. We have attempted to contact them multiple times since. SCAMMERS.
I bought this 32" Sceptre TV in August, 2005 for the living room. My daughter was going through a rough time and watched a lot of television and it was on even when she would go outside to do yard work, she just turned the volume to full blast. Yes, I have read the other reviews and the speakers did not last. We also bought a sound bar, but that should be a tail for another review (it has a habit of turning itself off.)
It is now April 2020 and I think the video card is having an issue. It was on and suddenly the screen went dark. I turned it off, let it sit and turned it back on. It flashed the Sceptre logo a second then went off again to a purple/blue screen like when it is starting. Then it went dark. I noticed it flashed on and off for a while like it was trying to start. This television has been on practically nonstop since the day it was purchased. I would say it has earned a lovely retirement. I am hoping it will come back, but not placing any bets. We are in lock down with the Corona virus and it won't be easy to replace, but I will be looking for another Sceptre.
I purchased a total of 5 tvs for 129.00 on Wal-Mart online website and 2 of the tvs were good. Had them for 5 years until I gave the one I was using. So yesterday I opened a Sceptre TV out of the box and it was pixelated...the picture was not showing after 1 day of setting it up and I'm upset because I didn't use the tv right away but I had no use for it. I just bought it as a backup so basically the tv was more than likely a bad t.v. which is only 3 years old. Which they're in the store for around that same amount of time. So I threw it out and opened my last tv but never again will I purchase a sceptre tv. Sometimes cheap is not better and with a 1 year warranty it is not long enough to determine if a product is defective or not!
I bought the 55 inch Tv one year ago. I finally opened to put in my guest room. Only a blue light came on. No picture or sound. I emailed tech support and did not get a response. I’m not sure what to do with the TV. It’s probable not worth taking for repairs as it was bought on Black Friday sale.
I own two Sceptre products and I haven't been disappointed in either purchase. I've owned the 65 inch 4k curved TV for about a year and a half and still have three years of warranty through Walmart. The TV looks beautiful and my friends/family can't believe what I paid for it. My computer monitor is the Sceptre 32 inch 1080p tv and it works wonderfully. The image is great and it has enough real estate to allow me to run multiple programs simultaneously. Again, at an impressively low price point. Sceptre products aren't going to be as thin or have high-quality materials used by more expensive competitors (Samsung, Sony, LG, etc.). It's primarily plastic with less than average speakers, but if image quality is what you're after at a low price point, they can't be beat.
I bought a Sceptre 32 inch TV through Walmart, because my problem occurred before the initial warranty was up (I did buy an extended warranty) I had to send my TV to Sceptre for repair. The tech I talked to at Sceptre said I could not return the TV without their pre-approval and to get that pre-approval I needed to send in a photo of the TV screen with the defect visible. I had a thing row of green dots across the middle of the screen so I had to get close to the screen so the dots were visible on my photo. I sent it in and the tech replied that I had to get the whole screen in the photo. To do that I had to back off and then the green line was not visible on the photo.
I took many photos and sent them in. Then the tech told me I must have the original box and styrofoam packing to return. I did have them, the tech sounded disappointed. I would then have to pay shipping for Los Angeles. As I only paid $89 for the unit it would cost me almost that to send it in. Of course I will never buy another Sceptre. Oh and be careful what you buy through Walmart, some items you cannot return to them and you fall into the trap I find myself in.
Purchased my 75" TV just over a year ago and it is still working like the day I got it. The initial purchase was through Walmart and I had a terrible experience there. Long story short, two of the three attempts of shipping the TV to the store were "lost". Fortunately, I received the third and a bit of satisfaction that Walmart hopefully took the hit for around $1,700 of lost product.
Changing the display settings was quite a long process of trial and error, however; having figured that part out according to my devices and their required settings, the TV has impressively clear picture quality for the price well under $1,000 each. Further, the option of buying a non-smart TV is difficult to find these days but was exactly what I wanted. For those reviews saying the sound quality is poor, I think that may be an issue with the unit itself as I often keep mine below 25/100 even with lots of company over. Overall, I am satisfied with this company and would be very likely to buy another TV product from them as well as recommend it to others.
I purchased a 40" Sceptre television in 2012. Other than not being able to turn it on without unplugging it then plugging it back in first, the television still works perfect. In 2019, the TV began having power issues. I looked online to see if other people were having the same problem and sure enough, over 100,000 consumers were. I contacted sceptre per instructions in their manual only to be told that it would cost me to repair it. This is a manufacturer glitch (much like a recall on a car) and should be addressed by sceptre. Sceptre's response to me was I can sell the television for parts.
DO NOT PURCHASE SCEPTER BRAND TV!!. I purchased a 65inch Sceptre TV in Sept. 2018. It went out in Feb. 2019. Sceptre sent me a replacement TV in April 2019, I didn't open the replacement TV until Aug. 2019. Here it is Dec. 2019 and the replacement TV just went out in less than 4 months of usage. Contacted Sceptre and was told that they don't start the warranty over on replacement. So my warranty is expired because they're using the same warranty from my original purchase in Sept. How can they justify that? In reality, I only had a 5 month warranty on the replacement TV. Bad products and shady business practices. If they would have told me about the warranty l would have purchased an extended warranty. I'm sitting here without my TV because they want me to pay for shipping and repairs. Please stay away from Sceptre.
I own four Sceptre TVs from a 18 inch to 40 inch. All of them perform perfectly and if I ever have to replace them I will buy Sceptre again. Read all these reviews carefully. Aside from the obvious "dead on arrival" or otherwise broken, it is clear to me that these people never picked up the hand book. Trust me, Sceptre TVs as as good or better than the Samsungs, LGs, Visions, etc.

I purchased this TV. The volume was so low I had to purchase a sound bar which has now stopped working. I contacted the company. They were all beyond rude and blocked me on Facebook for making public remarks about the poor customer service. I highly recommend you do not purchase their products as the customer service is lacking and the sound quality is so poor you cannot hear without an external device. I highly recommend you purchase from any company but this one!!!!
I bought this Sceptre TV on Amazon and it's junk. Had it now for 5 days and the cheap China made tv has a red line on the screen from top to the bottom of the screen in the middle of the screen. The box and on the back of the tv it says made in China. Stay far away from this junk name Sceptre tv. They are cheap made China junk. 200 dollars for this junk down the drain. Buy other name brand. Sceptre is pure junk.
I've never experienced such terrible customer service in my life, until I bought a Sceptre product, what a mistake. Their products don't last more than a couple weeks and to get them to fix it is like pulling teeth, it will take MONTHS. Never again.
I decided to review the Sceptre brand TVs I own because most people probably have not heard of them. I own two 43 inch 4K Sceptres. They cost around $300 and I use them in my trading setup. One is three years old and so far no issues. You get a lot for the money. The image is much more detailed than my 1080P screen, and you get several HDMI inputs. The only downside is the screen will flicker on occasion and they take longer to turn on than I would like.
The tv has a great picture and enough features to suit me. My cable guy told me that when I got not one but two of these that the guts or the insides of the two TVs were made by Sony. So if that is true I think that I got a good deal on these two tvs.
I've had this TV for a while and I'm extremely happy and satisfied with it. The picture is very nice and I'm thinking of replacing it with a larger model. No dropped pixels anytime even after my grandson and I hit it with an RC Helicopter. Oops. Very satisfied with Sceptre brand. Used to use their monitors when I built custom computer systems for people. Always good quality and great value.
I have 3 of Walmart Spectre TV, good value for the product. Never had any problems with the products. Resolution is good. I'm not techno savvy, the product was a good value for my budget....
Bought a 65 inch 4K led uhd tv and the picture is just crap. It doesn’t matter what you try to watch on it the picture is always funny and yes it is hooked up to the promoter hdmi input with an hdmi cord and still just looks like I have an old square box tv from the 90s. Worst decision I ever made to buy one. It’s a waste of money and absolutely not worth it.
I have three TVs by Sceptre and all three work great with excellent pictures. I would highly recommend calling Walmart and compare the differences between manufacturers. Without a doubt you will find that this brand is much better priced and won’t let you down.
Ordered a 43-inch Sceptre LED TV through Walmart. It was delivered 3 days later was easy to put together very basic and easy to hook up but within the first 24 hours it started acting up and eventually stopped working. Now it keeps shutting off. Very disappointed. I didn't even have it for 30 hours. Now I have to wait another 3 days to get a return replacement TV. Such sad service and quality.. Picture was nice when it was working, but I noticed the screen had a little lag to it when there was fast-moving scenes on the TV.. I would not recommend. If you do buy one, buy it cheap and get an add on warranty. I think you will need it.
I purchased a Sceptre TV and DVD combination. I also purchased an extended warranty the day I purchase the TV. When using the TV for the first time the TV work fine and the sound was fine. Upon using the DVD player the player worked but the sound didn't. Even upon putting an external DVD player to the television the sound would not work. We even tried external speakers and they were very distorted. I contacted the extended warranty company and they said they could not do anything about it at that time because the TV is still under manufacturer's warranty.
After contacting Sceptre customer service the woman told me I had to go online and fill out a request to open a case for the manufacturer warranty. What the customer service representative didn't tell me is that the buyer is responsible for shipping cost. And that is non-refundable. I found out today it was going to cost me $69 to ship it back to Sceptre for repair for a TV that cost $120. I was totally shocked at how this was going down. This company knows it is a win-win for them either way. They figure people will get tired of fighting it and give up and go buy another one or someone is going to pay this $69 to have it shipped back which is ridiculous and should be against the law because the product was defective out of the box.
Finally I went back to the store where I had purchased the item and explained everything to them and the store refunded me back fully for the purchase, even though I was over my return date. I did purchase another TV from that store but a different name brand. I'm just warning buyers to be careful when purchasing items from this company because it is going to cost you. Do your research and look at a lot of reviews. Thank you.
Needed a 32" TV with DVD player to replace and Apex unit in our travel trailer. Easy setup. Works perfect. Sound quality could be better but am satisfied with my purchase. I would definitely recommend a Sceptre tv.
For the first time I had to contact SCEPTRE as my remote gave out on me. WOW! What a pleasant experience with their tech support, and customer service agent. There were some issues which were mine but the tech support and customer service were so great and they took ownership of my problem by sending me a remote this coming Monday as today is Friday, May 3, 2019. Do NOT DOUBT receiving excellent service from any department. I do suggest you be prepared with your product and serial numbers so they may assist you faster. I was not prepared much - much patience given to me as a senior. Thank you SCEPTRE... YOU ARE MY TV SUPPLIER HEREAFTER AS WELL!!!
The screen was shot with a soft nerf dart and rendered it completely black, other than the image of a shatter where the internal liquid follows. The fact that such a light impact (I can tap with my finger as hard) broke this beyond repair (it would cost as much or more to replace) is pretty pathetic and shows how low the screen quality actually is. I've seen reviews where removing the factory plastic wrap ruins it too. Would not recommend if anything has any possibility of coming in contact with the screen, ever. Sceptre needs to do better than this if they hope to survive. Cheap, but you get what you pay for. I asked Cust Service for contacts in Exec. management to complain to and they ignored me and did not reply. Cowards.
Excellent quality for cheaper price, I don't regret buying it... I laugh at those who bought expensive brands. I love the picture, the quality...and most important, the price.
My experience with Sceptre... Placed a claim because the television had a red line going through the screen ONE WEEK AFTER I PURCHASED IT! Which took 2-3 weeks for me to receive a box to ship it back and ANOTHER 2-3 weeks to receive a refurbished replacement. Placed another claim. The television would not stay on longer than an hour and the picture and sound went on it. ANOTHER 2-3 weeks to receive another box to ship it back and ANOTHER 2-3 weeks to receive a new television.
Placed ANOTHER claim because the television was damaged by FEDEX upon delivery. ANOTHER 2-3 weeks to receive a box to ship it back and ANOTHER 2-3 weeks to receive another television. February 4, 2019 PLACED ANOTHER CLAIM because the television has horizontal lines going through the whole screen again (this is suppose to be a "new" television). Email dated 2/13/19 from Son, stating that the box was damaged in transit, will send another box. Still waiting for said box.
*Emails back and forth with Son in Customer Service. Denied a refund and I am now waiting for a box to be shipped to me so that I can send the FOURTH television back. Oh yeah, forgot, you have no boxes, they are on back order and I am STILL awaiting for a box. Emailed Son. Requested for a label to be sent so I may get a box independently. Decided to wait for a box to be sent from your company because you WILL NOT get me on any type of technicality with the warranty. Also, Son stated that he would work with me and provide a different model television since I have been having so many problems, but will not send the other "model" until he receives the television that is still hanging on my wall. Quoting him verbatim, "I need to have the other television so that we can see if it is a technical issue or the television is being damaged by FedEx". I still DO NOT understand why he will not send me another television until he receives mine.
Can you understand my frustration? I honestly hope SOMEONE can relate to this frustrating, never-ending, unresolved non-working television, PROBLEM. I am really disheartened by your company for allowing this to unfold to this extent. I have been and continue to be patient. I am very dissatisfied and would like some resolution, if not a full refund. I have been more than patient and tolerant with your company. I will attempt to contact Stephen Liu as well and utilize ALL social media regarding my experience with Sceptre. WHY IS THIS SO CALLED COMPANY STILL IN BUSINESS?!?
35 Inch Screen and Great Picture Quality. And it was on Sale at Walmart for $90 back in December of 2018. More than happy with the sound quality and ability to attach other devices to it. I'd buy again, proves that brand names are just that, a brand.
