I purchased this TV just over a year ago and it quit working, just after the warranty expired. I tried everything and for a few times, if you unplugged it for 15 minutes it would work when plugged back in until you turned it off. I did factory reset and all the recommended fixes I saw online. I then called the Philips customer service and went through all the steps with their tech. This time it never came back up. She said I could take it to a repairman and maybe they could fix it. It would cost more to do that than to buy a new TV. I will buy a TV, but never a Philips again. No Philips anything again.

One star is probably too much for this company. My 75 inch Android Google TV purchased 9/12/2022 is a piece of garbage. Turned it off for bed 4 nights ago and will not power back on. Customer service says "sorry...no extended warranty, no help. You might as well trash it and buy a new one." Pretty unacceptable for a TV that was only used a few hours a month. What can this group of upset consumers do to be treated fairly for the poor treatment and product of this company?

I purchased this television in October 2022. Three days ago, my husband accidentally unplugged the television while it was on. Once we tried to plug it back in it started giving us an error message. It would not turn on or off, only the error message on there all the time. I tried everything that was suggested online on the Philips website to reset the television with no luck.

I finally Called Philip customer service line and their representative told me that there was nothing they could do for me. There was a default in the television so they would like to send me to a technician so I could pay them more money to have my television fixed. This is a scam so they they sell you a television that’s faulty within a year and a half and then they sell you a technician to help fix it. There are way too many other good options out there for a good tv. My other television has lasted me over 10 years. We should not be still purchasing from companies like this. Philips, you should be ashamed of yourself. Buyer beware. Not a good product. I will never purchase from Philips again.

Bought a Phillips seventy inch TV approximately two years ago. Everything was working, perfect and fine, and tv said that it needed an update and to press here to start the update. It would start up date and never finish. And we called the 8 hundred number and never could get any help. They finally told us there is no update for my tv so it is worthless. It worked fine until it said it needed an update. Terrible to throw away a TV that was that expensive after two years. Will never buy one again if they do not rectify this and no one is helping. Had a repair person come out, and he said he needed the software code and when we called, they said there wasn't one because the T V was discontinued. 2 yrs old and discontinued with no software update.

Worst TV I ever purchased! Does not turn on unless you unplug it and immediately replug it in the electrical outlet. Not a great experience when the TV is mounted to the wall. It does not turn off when requested by the remote. I thought it was originally a Comcast problem so I replaced the server and box. It wasn’t their problem rather it is the inability of Phillip’s tech support to address this problem. Others I have contacted with Philips TV have the same issue. Having a horrible experience with Philips customer service. My TV was purchased online through Sam's Club. They have rejected a replacement or refund of the TV based on the fact that Sam's customer service had to send a duplicate receipt on a PDF template. It validated all information requested. They just simply wanted to get out of upholding the warranty. 14 days later I still have no refund or replacement television, and the only way I was able to even get a sensible response to a solution was to have Sam's Club customer service call on my behalf. I've never dealt with such unprofessionalism for such a well known company, but this experience can't be described as nothing more than pure disgusting with the way I've been treated after paying over $400 for a product. I'll never trust buying another Philips product and most definitely wouldn't recommend them.

Who designed these? They put the HDMI outlets in the BACK of the TV. Meaning you cant mount the TV or else hooking up HDMI cabels is impossible without almost either breaking the TV or your hands. DO NOT BUY THESE TRASHY TVS. That isn't it though, because randomly, the internet will disconnect and all you can do to fix it is reset your TV which is VERY LOUD.

Bought a Philips Android TV 2 years ago. All of a sudden I couldn't get Live TV anymore, nor would any of the apps work. I tried reconnecting the tv, see if it was up to date, and finally did a factory reset. Nothing worked. I called their support, and after 30min, of which they had me do what I already had done and still the same problem. They then told me that it is an internet issue, and I need to call my internet service provider (all my other tvs that are connected to the same internet work just fine). I told them it is not an internet issue and the person on the line got really defensive and told me to call my ISP. I told them that doesn't make sense, it's clearly the tv itself. They then said, "Well the tv is out of warranty and you'll have to take it in to a tv shop, we can't help any further." So I paid over $700 for a tv that only turns on and that's it! *HDMI from laptop doesn't carry audio. Other TVs do, even older ones.
*WIFI is so weak, it can't stay connected to a router 20 feet away, but every other device in the same room as TV has a strong and uninterrupted signal.
*Also won't even stay connected to wifi right behind the TV!!
*Volume randomly drops to half of where you have it, then warns of raising volume to dangerous levels, even though it's at about 10% now.
*Volume control becomes nonresponsive, then jumps to high level.

We basically had 5 days after setting said TV up that issues began to happen. TV would not show a picture. We tried everything until we basically had to do a reset, then TV came on. 2 days later it did the very same thing. Reset TV again and it worked again. 3 days later same thing only this time reset did not work, it was gone. I did purchase an extended warranty on TV so I started a claim with them, to find out it was still under manufacturing warranty. I notified customer service about this and that is where the the headache started. They are very rude, unprofessional, extremely lazy and downright incompetent.

After uploading images they asked for to start the warranty process they said they'd call after a couple of days after they reviewed them. 8 days later I called them, for them to tell me they needed more pictures and they would get back to me in about 7 to 10 days. 12 days later I called them again and they said they were sending out a tech to fix my problem, they have ordered the part to fix it... Wait!! Hold up what?? How do you know what part if you haven't even looked at it yet. TV tech said I purchased a damaged TV and it was not repairable. I didn't hear anything from them for over a week after tech came to my home. I called and got some rude lady on the phone who told I was being impatient. Yes!! Impatient!! Finally to summarize this saga, this went on and went on. I had had it!!

They told me to peel the manufacturer sticker off, place it on the field scrap letter and upload it and we were done. They failed to call me again, so I called and they said they were still reviewing it. I said, "I'm done, no more, you tell me right now. Are you replacing it or refunding me??" I asked to speak to supervisor, and dropped my call. I called back the next day and told them I wanted an answer or I'm contacting my lawyer and just like that I was told I would be refunded in 6 weeks. Yes, 6 weeks!! And I'm still waiting!! I WILL NEVER EVER PURCHASE A PHILIPS AGAIN!! The customer service is a joke! They are rude and inconsiderate and have no compassion for the consumers. My wife called Phillips and they said it was our satellite provider. Of course it wasn't. I called them and they said to take pictures of the screen and send it to them. I did that and just today heard back from them that they would not honor their year warranty. They claimed first that the TV must have been hit and therefore damaged.

We told them that it sits in a back room in a TV cabinet and that no one has hit it or damaged it in any way. Then they said it must have gotten too hot. I told them it isn't near any heat source, and the guy then just said he was sorry, but that is what they decided from the pictures that I sent and they were not going to honor their warranty. What a joke! I've had this TV less than 4 months and Phillips won't stand behind their warranty and replace it. Updated on12/21/2021: About the review I provided couple of days ago about the Philips smart TV I bought last year and keeps shutting off and on every two minutes; I called Philips customer service for help, the lady tried to troubleshoot the problem, asked me to do couple of things that I have been doing for the last two days to no avail, she finally said she can't help fixing it. I said the TV is manufactured in May 2020 and I bought it in July 2020 (she verified that from the TV's model and serial numbers). I told her, "You should replace the unit." She said that the one year warranty is expired and she can't do that! I said I know the one year warranty is over but my question is did she expect the TV to go bad within the year? What kind of product is that? She said, "Sorry sir. I can't help you." So I'm going to go and get another TV, but for sure this time it is not going to be Philips.

Original Review: Last year I bought a 50’ Philips, so called, smart TV with Android software. The label says it was manufactured in May 2020. In the last few days, the TV started to reboot itself every 2 minutes. My remote control can’t communicate with it, at first I thought something wrong with the remote, I bought two different remotes and none was able to communicate with the TV.

I tried every tip and advice from YouTube read postings on the internet on how to fix this problem, none worked. I thought the best solution is to reset the TV to the factory setup, but I can’t get to that menu without the remote and the buttons in the back of the tv do not work. Repair shops are asking for $149.00 just to listen to the problem, let alone the cost of solving it. It is much cheaper to buy a new tv, I checked them out at Walmart today and an LG to with the same specs is sold for about $400. Shame on Philips products, I never seen a TV that doesn’t last for more than a year! Usually TVs last forever. No more Philips.

I bought a Philips 2021 television (70pus7906 model) advertised at around £1,000 and featuring google assistant. The assistant doesn't work with remote control as there's no integrated microphone and there is no additional "smart" remote. It is supposed to work by downloading an app (or apps) onto your IOS device, or android phone. This fact is hidden from the purchaser so beware that you can't interact with google assistant, by voice command, without having an additional device to hand. To exacerbate the problem the app, downloaded on my IOS device, failed to find the Philip TV (2021 model, I repeat) despite numerous searches.

Philips customer services appear to be completely disinterested in this issue and have lazily, and reluctantly, offered a couple of unsuccessful workarounds. They boast google assistant is built into the tv but don't tell you that you CAN'T use the assistant without an additional device. It seems so technologically backwards to me!!!

We have had Philips products for a long time, so decided to stay with the brand. Picture is great... but that is about it. Bought 65" for living room and 48" for bedroom and immediately noticed sound was crackling on both brand new TVs. It was only certain voices that buzzed the speakers so we dealt with it for a while. TV constantly has to be re-established with our wifi network. Specifically, have to restart our internet modem/router in order to get TVs to reconnect (when all other devices in our house are still working fine).

As others have already stated, for some reason after a month of use these TVs start lagging and freezing and need to be unplugged for a few minutes and plugged in to start working again. I knew better to buy any of the scam warranties and after reading other reviews know not to call and waste my time with customer service. We haven't even had these TVs for a year and now the speakers on the TVs are completely blown when we barely play them at 30% volume. Have sound bars (not Phillips) and TVs are back to functional. We spent a lot of money on these and will get what we can out of them, but probably will not be buying Phillips again.

Xbox one s/x user and PS4 pro users usually buy for that in particular. And without this info you’d be under the impression that it’s not 4K compatible. I purchased this TV last summer around August, and had issues within the first week that I thought would work themselves out. When I first brought it out, it took a long time to upload for the WiFi, which I assumed was normal because I have 6 kids on my Wifi. 45 minutes later, it finally loaded and updated all the items for use. I automatically input my Vudu and Netflix accounts. The Netflix froze once and I had to unplug and plug the TV back in. Again, I shrugged it off as just slow Wifi. I had my kids all log off their devices, and had no issues. Streaming and updates were great. Until a week later.

At first it was the remote being slow to turn up the volume or down. And even slow to make choices on the TV at all. I changed the batteries thinking it would help, and it didn't. So I just grew patient with it, and ignored it since the TV worked fine. Fast forward another 6 weeks, and my Netflix won't load. My Vudu shuts off. The remote still is slow, and I am just fed up. I stopped using it so much, and left it alone during the winter months. N

Now as spring is here, I use it to play YouTube and clean the living room it is in, and the color darks are now purple, the remote still will not work, the apps won't load properly the first time, they lag really badly, it won't update the software unless it's plugged into the internet, and I spend more time trying to get it to load and work than I have been able to watch it. And as you can Imagine as a mother of 6, I am pretty frickin' patient.

My advice is to stay away. I spent over half a grand on a piece of junk that I will spend more time trying to fix or return than able to enjoy. My time is precious, and I have found myself having to return more and more electronics as things update and 'get better'. My husband bought a Hisense from Walmart, and we bought some TCL's for the kids that have taken a beating well. I'm sticking to other brands from here on out. Buy at your own risk.

So we bought this TV maybe a few days before Christmas. I should have known that it would suck when it immediately stopped working correctly the same week. Also all the apps they offer for some reason aren't available in this country or at least that is what a representative told me when I called. I'm talking basic apps like HBO, Starz, Facebook. It would randomly turn off or stop Youtube and Netflix videos then give a no signal message. Later anytime I wanted to use the smart component of this smart TV I would have to go through the process of connecting the network all over again every time.

Eventually after maybe 3 months it just won't connect to any network at all making it just a basic TV. So I paid hundreds of dollars for a large basic TV. I'll never buy from them again. We use to have a big bulky Sony TV that lasted so many years and ran great. We gave it up because it just stopped turning on easily like it took a few tries. I have spent hours over past 2 weeks in contact with Philips support/product specialists, who initially pointed me to invalid website system files and then invalid support links whilst customer assistance acknowledged they were aware of issue.

This TV is trash. After a month of having it, brand new mind you, it began to make this annoying and consistent high pitched electrical hum that only got louder as you turned the volume up. You would have thought the sounds from the show or movie you were watching would drown it out. It didn't. Later on the unit started lagging and freezing. There are issues with it not coming on via the power buttons on the remote and the unit itself. This was all within 4 months of having it. Right now, over a year later, the unit completely freezes when I try connecting it to WI-FI. It's unresponsive to the remote, batteries changed and all, and also unresponsive to the button inputs on the unit itself. To get it to turn off, it has to be unplugged. Just ridiculous.

Customer support made it seem like I was just telling a story. No apology. Request for a video of the issue. No follow-up. Hopefully I'll be able to get something completely different with the warranty plan I thankfully purchased from Walmart. I purchased this TV 11/28/2017. Today is 03/11/2019. Not even a year and a half of ownership and it seems like I'm dealing with a 10 year old TV. We were up in the air on which brand to buy and were under the misconception all Smart TV's could stream wireless with a Wi-Fi connection. We were WRONG. We do not use cable TV, only Wi-Fi. We have never had a problem doing this before with our Hisense TV. (It even worked with a 3/4 of the screen cracked.) We have a Netflix subscription and use YouTube. We have never had a problem watching entire movies or even seasons of TV series in a single sitting. No buffering, no lost connection. Not so with this Philips TV. You might be able to watch 3 minutes MAX of a movie or even a Youtube video before it starts buffering. If you're lucky you might be able to connect again before you lose interest completely, but not usually.

Maybe I'm impatient, but 15 minutes or so is my deadline. Then I'm cursing the TV & myself for buying it. I'm currently at 30 minutes with no TV wifi connection. Yet I'm typing this using my wifi and it Works fine. I've checked all my other devices and they all work perfectly fine. I've called Comcast so it's not a connection issue. The wireless capabilities on a Philips TV are non-existent. It is the most frustrating experience to watch TV since we've purchased this Lemon. It has taken watching TV from a relaxing, wind-down activity to an experience so stressful it makes you want to rip your hair out.

Do not ever purchase this TV, especially if you ever plan to watch any kind of video or movie from Netflix, YouTube or any other streaming service. I have several Philips TVs that I purchased all around the same time and all of them blew the power supply within a month after the factory warranty expired, except one, which Philips Smart TV platform stopped working BEFORE the unit was a week old! Walmart refused to take it back claiming I didn't purchase a Walmart warranty so I'm out of luck, and Philips claims they stopped supporting their Cloud TV aka net TV platform and they will not provide any repairs or replacement or credit towards one that actually does what they advertised that it's supposed to do. The unit has multiple apps installed but none of them work. So, if you're in the market for a new smart TV, I strongly suggest you spend an extra hundred bucks and get one from a manufacturer that stands behind their products and don't get ripped off with Philips TV "trash."

I'd love to see a class action suit against Philips over this because it's quite obvious to anyone with above a third grade education that customers posting reviews here have been taken by Philips and are quite annoyed. Then of course if you have not passed third grade, and want to throw your money out the window, go ahead. I'm now looking at new smart TVs made by the same company that makes the better smartphones that I'm sure you have heard of, which most cell phone service providers sell as their best phones. Good luck. Don't be another victim of false advertising and a corporate rip-off. Oh and PS: if you're a Philips employee, shame on you for ripping off your customers. I'll stand up to these claims in court if a suit is ever brought to trial!

I honestly wanted to return this TV the first weekend I bought it due to the fact that the box falsely advertised that the TV had Sling, Hulu and many other apps that it does not have. The issue is that we live 2 1/2 hours from the Target that we bought the TV and I was not able to make it back in time. Just disappointed in Phillips especially since I tried writing a review the day I bought it and it was continually rejected by Phillips...

The screen going black continues until late September 2018 when the picture starts getting staticy. No amount of clunking it will fix it, we finally opted to buy a much better Sony TV instead and junk the Philips.

Now- I had an off brand that's feet were screwed in, but this was a larger TV, smaller feet and obviously just clicked in... Good thing I hadn't even had a chance to get rid of my other TV, since I now just put $500 down the drain plus the warranty I was so concerned about. Too bad there's no coverage for a faulty TV... I called Walmart and they told me that despite having a guarantee I had to return it in the box. I never thought that a Philips would break so fast and I had thrown the box. Walmart told me to call Philips because they could not accept it. I Call Philips and they told me he would give me a refurbishing TV. I think it's wrong to give a refurbishing when I buy a NEW one a few days before.

I asked for a refund and they told me that I had to find a box for a 55 TV to return it. I think this is a total lack of respect for the client. I bought Philips thinking it was a good brand, that was my favorite parents' TV brand when I was a kid, I was wrong. I want to end this nightmare. Keep the money. So my grandma bought a Philips TV almost a month ago and it broke down after only 17 days. Going back to the retailer, we asked for a replacement, since if they just repair it, it has a high chance to break down again. The person in the shop couldn't make a decision so he called his provincial manager (or whoever is at a higher position than him) and we waited in the mall for a few hours until he said that we should come back on the next weekday (since we came on a Saturday).

Coming back on a Monday, they still couldn't reach a decision so we waited for a few more hours and they made us come back the following day. And that repeated for a few more times until my grandma just decided to just get it repaired. Overall the service is bad, they couldn't replace a totally replaceable item, they made us go back so many times. And lastly most other brands would just replace a defective item but they couldn't which is something they would not even explain to us. Never buy a Philips TV. Ever.

They're telling me I have to go through the warranty process which can take 3 to 5 business days. It's a brand new dam tv. UGH I don't have that kind of time. I need a tv now. I have little children. I trusted my money with this company. I spent $842 on this tv. I did not wait the take 3 to 5 days to pay for it so why should I have to wait 3 to 5 days due to a warranty process.

Sam's Club Temple, TX - In December 2009, I received my newly purchased television, a 47” Philips television model number 47PFL7403D/F7 serial number YA1A0839011710. In December of 2010, I purchased a motorhome which then allowed me to be gone for 6 months out of every year. I say this because with the minimal usage that occurred during the period of ownership of your product, it failed in October of 2017. In other words, it failed with an equivalent usage of about 4 ½ years. This is not a reasonable length of time for a product to function given the cost of it.

I disassembled the television rear cover to find a fuse blown in the power supply. During my search for information regarding this problem, I came found a Youtube video which described the replacement of the power supply. I then went to eBay to buy a power supply board for the television only to discover that there were so many of these televisions failing that a company in Tucson, AZ had set up a program to repair and return power supplies to the owners of these failed TVs. I received the repaired power supply and reinstalled after which I attempted reinstallation of the rear cover when I had a problem inserting and tightening the 21 screws which are used to fasten the rear cover to the assembly.

Taking the back cover off again and looking at the areas, I discovered that many of the plastic cylinders into which the back cover screws are tightened had split, broken and were otherwise unusable for the purpose of fastening anything. This had to knowingly occur during the factory assembly of the product either by over torquing of the screw or faulty engineering of the plastic used or the plastic clearance hole itself was not of a proper size. I am extremely disappointed with your product and the apparent poor engineering and/or assembly of the parts. I have pictures which I took to try and properly explain the problems that I, as well as others in a similar situation, encountered.

I did that twice but they want more. It appeared to me that this is the start of a ping pong game... I had no more.

So I went back to Walmart for some help, called the corporate office, the lady I spoke with was great. She gave me the phone number of the manufacturer Funai Corp 614 497 2689. I called left a message on the machine, this was on a Friday so I really don't expect a reply till Monday. I also found their email address Funai services. I sent, they responded with, "We will get back to you soon." By the way I forgot to mention the lady at Walmart Corp told me if Funai don't resolve this to call Walmart Corp again...that sort of gave me hope. I'll post the results when all this is over.

Updated on [03/01/2018]: I said I'd be back with the final outcome of my claim against Philips/Funai TV. Don't ever expect Philips to adhere to their warranty, it ain't gonna happen!!! Finally on 2/25/2018 I got back to walmart.com. They gave me a full refund, emailed labels for me to ship tv back to them at their cost, a great company. It's no wonder why they're # one. However from now on I will purchase the store's extended warranty. I did that with the replacement tv. It cost $30.00 for five years. Worth $6.00 a year to avoid one heck of a hassle... So now I have to compress 1.5 yrs of agony with my 55PUT6400/12 TV in a few sentences... First Philips TVs are not really Philips but TP Vision TVs who paid Philips to use its brand. So China TVs. Software updates for those TVs are made in India by people that really don't know what they are doing. All firmware updates have produced new bugs in the TV when they tried to repair the old bugs. Example one update made an audio delay so the TV was unusable. Philips needed 3 updates over half a year to repair it. Another update made bluetooth remotes not working anymore. Another update introduced off center picture. Another update made the TV shut itself down in standby after couple of hours and one needed to pull the power cord to get it starting again. Also one update made the TV turn itself on at 4 am.

I really think they make that deliberately or don't beta test the firmwares and let customers be the testers or they hired cheap labor monkeys in India to program that ** software I know of. Plus the TVs have been unstable all the time and have a life of their own in rebooting occasionally. Read the Philips support forum in English or German to see what **storm there is happening at any firmware update thread before buying Philips TVs.

Purchased the Philips 4K tv from Walmart. Lines across the screen started appearing. I did not purchase the Walmart warranty, so I have been having to deal with the Philips manufacturer directly. Big pain! Had to call several times, had to send pictures of screen on and off, they determined it had a bad panel. Finally got them to send me a box to ship it to them in. Only gave me 10 days to get it shipped to them (which was difficult, I am a older lady, I had to get someone to come get it off the wall and box it up, and drop it off at FedEx for me. Plus I travel for work and am only home 2 days a week). Was told once they received it, I would be mailed a check for the market value (not what I paid for it) in 10 to 15 business days.

They received my TV on May 16th, here it is June 9th, and still no check. Been told lie after lie, told 10 to 15 days to get me my check once they received my tv, so I called on June 1st, was told it would be here by the 9th. Called on the 9th, the first call they said it was mailed on the 6th, the second call with them they said it hadn't been mailed yet and that it should be mailed today, but it could take 5 to 7 business days before I get it and I would just have to patiently wait for it. REALLY! I have been patiently waiting for almost 30 days since they got my tv, so where is it? They have already lied at least 3 times to me, I have been dealing with this for over a month and a half - paying for cable tv, and I have no tv.

I finally found out today they are sending me 398 dollars instead of the 498 dollars I paid for it. Really, this constitutes customer services? This totally sucks and all they can say is sorry and there is no one to expedite my issue. A real company that cares about its customers would have shipped me a new tv and after I received it, I could have sent their "bad panel" tv back to them. But on second thought, don't think I want another one of their products ever again. At a minimum, at least pay me what I paid for it, compensate me for paying for cable tv for the past month and a half that I can't even watch, cause they got my tv and can't even manage to write a check to reimburse me what I actually paid for it. Horrible Horrible company - I would not suggest dealing with them - all they do is lie to you. I don't think I will ever get my (shorted) reimbursement check. I feel like I was robbed. If this is what they call customer service - someone needs fired.

I've been on the phone with customer support and I am still on the phone with them as I write this review. Needed a newer TV because my Vizio was crapping the bed. Got the newer 55 inch 4K TV and I have been on the phone with support for over 2 hours trying to figure out why my surround sound won't work on this TV. Not only does it not work, I was made to download a software onto a USB stick and then try to update the TV's software but it keeps saying it isn't compatible with my TV!! Are you ** serious??? I should be able to just plug the cables in that I did with my 65 inch Vizio Smart TV and it should just work!! The support person has had me do literally everything but to no avail. Back to Vizio when I actually have the money again... Worst purchase ever. Do not buy Philips 4K TVs. They suck **.

The technology that this TV brings is unique and great like a new toy and a giant computer. The picture quality is perfect and the overall options. The cable settings are so easy to follow. The weight is very light and easy to move... great product to purchase if anyone likes it. Thank you.

Got a tv from Wal-Mart on Black Friday. Tv went out about a week ago. I contacted Philips. Did what they told me to. Sent pics to them and was told tv is not repairable but is under warranty. They said they could send me another tv but do not have my tv in stock so they want to give me my money back which I cannot replace it for the price of black Friday. Their service is horrible and they will not let you talk to upper management. Always told 24 to 48 hours and someone will contact me. They're rude and not helpful at all. Do not buy Philip's products cause they do not warranty it and give you the runaround. Someone should be liable for this bad product. Very upset.

I love the TV and it is a 55 inch flat smart TV. I love having Netflix, Youtube already on it and I loved having the games on it, but the games are no longer working because the company put up they didn't renew the contract. All of performance of TV is great. It is only 2 years old but wish the speakers were been a different place. 2015 I had to contact Philips TV headquarters regarding the Microsoft License because of my experience with them in 2015 and if my TV ever goes out, I will go with another brand.

How their employees handle the problem, I won't buy another Philips TV. And if my TV ever goes out I will look more closure to the brand and do more research in the company. My advice would be for anyone, please research how the company or brand handles problems and their ratings on satisfaction of service, communication. I wish I did but it was on sale and Philips is a good brand, but services are not satisfying. It could be the best product in the world but if their customer service is bad it will take forever to get help.

The tv is really good, I'm a person that for me to give high rating, it has to be all that!!!! I really liked the value I purchased it for. It views just fine, but feel it could of been better but I do not like the three inch black shiny frame around it.

We needed a replacement for the Sharp TV that got smacked by a WII controller. We really liked the Sharp TV, the high definition was awesome, reliability top of the line, but the Philips TV is very close. It wasn't top on our list, but for the money, it is great. We purchased this TV 7 years ago from a college student that had to move out of the dorm. Bottom line, TV's been up on the wall a few years and works great!

I have a Philips TV in my son's room. The picture is very clear and size is perfect for his bedroom. He has his cable and gaming console hooked up to it. If needed, he can hook up DVD or another system to it without any problem. He's had this TV for about 2 years and has never come to me with any problem pertaining to the TV itself. Also it was easy for my son to learn to control and is able to change channels and modes without any problems. This TV is great. I would recommend this TV to anyone.
