Extremely slow shipping (not USPS, but leaving FYE warehouse) followed by receiving damaged records due to negligent packing. Customer service was slow, inefficient, and dismissive. This company deserves to go out of business.

I ordered the IZ*ONE Official Lightstick from this site because I struggled to find it elsewhere. Bear in mind, it's supposed to be about $35 brand new, but they were selling it for $70 (+shipping costs it came out to about $93)! Since I couldn't find "new" anywhere else, I decided to go with it. The site claims to give 1 Random Photograph of an IZ*ONE Member with every purchase, but I did not receive one. Not only that, but my lightstick came in damaged! It has scuff marks/scratches all over the surface! I emailed customer service and it was an automated email after automated email that just said to ship the item back without guarantee of a refund....What? You've got to be kidding me... PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE! IT'S A SCAM!!!

Lied about membership, told it was free, got home and saw the receipt and that it's 12/mo. Hell no. They lost me as a customer for lying. It's not like a store discount at all, and it's definitely not free. I've done sales and even I think that's SAF. I looked it up and canceled online.

What happened to me is exactly what happened to most of the other reviewers here and on many other websites so I'll be brief. Wanted to make a small purchase (Moorestown, NJ) and was offered the BSP card for 10% off and some coupons. I asked if the card was free and I was told YES, which is a LIE because it costs $15ish a month after a trial period. THAT IS NOT FREE. I asked if it was like a typical store discount card and was told yes - LIE. IT'S A SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE!

I was in the middle of a sale at the time so THEY ALREADY HAD MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION. FYI signed me up for this garbage program and on top of that, tried to sign me up for various magazine subscriptions which I fortunately declined at the time. The salesperson told me those were free too - ANOTHER LIE. She was really persistent about the "free" magazines but thankfully I had no use for them. When a business has to scam you into signing up for a monthly subscription service and various magazines instead of just selling you items off its shelves then you know it is strapped for cash.

I purchased a Scarface 4k Ultra HD movie set for my husband and only received 2 discs when in the images for the set it shows 3 discs and a statue of The World Is Yours just like in movie. I would not have paid $27 for just a movie I could of ordered on Amazon for 1/3 of that price. I have emailed FYE several times and have not received any response. Highly dissatisfied. Will never order from them again.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY. Find somewhere else that can provide what you want. I ordered something for my son on 9/23. I've patiently waited for days with no package. I had it delivered to the office because, I wouldn't get it at home. I see FedEx, UPS and the post office daily. Last night I emailed customer service regarding this. This morning I get an email back stating that "I'm sorry but the Child's play Chucky stripes T-shirt you ordered was listed as available, when it was actually not in stock." They didn't charge me but to seriously not notify the customer the item wasn't in stock until almost 3 weeks later is poor customer service. It took me to contact them to get an answer. My son has a costume party on 26th and now I've got to go find another shirt. DO NOT DO SERVICE WITH FYE!!!!

Went to an FYE in a mall near me and was persuaded to join the FYE backstage pass (their membership program) for 10% off my order. Was not at all told that it would cost anything and the cashier told me to pick up to 3 magazines to receive, so I did. After I left I took a look at the card and info I received with it and saw it would cost $12 a month after a trial period. I immediately called and was told I wasn’t allowed to deactivate it until it was activated for a 72 hour period. I forgot about it and was charged the following month. I called again and the gave me a refund. Now, a month later, I was charged $25 for the magazines that should have been canceled when I cancelled the membership. I do NOT recommend this membership. Don’t let the cashiers persuade you, no matter how good it seems at the time.

I bought two sets of Marvel Blu Rays from FYE's online store. It has been a week and the items have not shipped yet. Despite the fact that they have not shipped, and that they haven't charged my card, I am being told there is no way to stop an order In Progress. If an order is In Stock, how has it taken over a week to ship? Why can't anyone from customer service tell me WHEN my order is going to ship? How are they unable to cancel or issue a return on an order that hasn't been sent to me yet?

This entire company just seems like a scam. It doesn't matter what their Terms and Conditions say - you cannot lie outright to customers about shipping times and orders being in stock. I have notified my bank that FYE does not have permission to charge my card. I have contacted a lawyer and will have him send FYE a letter to cancel my order. I have sent numerous emails to their customer service without any response.

Their terms even state that some orders get delayed and won't ship for 2-5 business days. Well, it's been more than that and my "in stock" Blu Rays haven't been shipped to me. What a sham of a business. I should have read the countless negative reviews before ordering from them. Do yourself a favor and pay a little more elsewhere to get peace of mind and quality customer service.

I agreed to sign up for this service, on a visit to one of their locations. It sounded good, and at the time, could see how some people could benefit. Within a week, I wanted to take advantage of the movie credit part of it. The site gave me so much **, so I eventually had to call in, and talk to someone. That is not anything I EVER WANT TO DO. But she seemed to help me for the moment. I went on and put in my movie theater ticket info. That was 3 weeks ago. Not sure how long it's supposed to take to receive anything, but, whatever. I want to cancel this service now, and I am having the same issue I had initially. Despite that the site is showing my name in the top right, when I try to do anything on the site, it tells me to log in. I know my login info, but it's NOT working. DO NOT BUY INTO THIS SERVICE! Either the site is extremely faulty, or it's an intentional attempt to scam people. I'm pissed that I have to call about cancelling.

I signed up for backstage pass membership and soon after tried canceling, as it was costing $12/month for something I wasn’t even using. After I requested to cancel the membership, I was still being charged monthly. I tried disputing this with f.y.e customer service, who claimed that they could not reimburse me due to their terms and conditions. Yet they manage to get away with charging my bank each month after I requested them to stop and cancel the membership. You'll get ripped off and robbed money from your bank account. Don’t sign up!!

On 4-6-19 I ordered several movies from FYE.com. 2 weeks later I still had not received the movies. I sent an email inquiring as to why. They told me "Unfortunately there was a system error that caused this order to be cancelled at this time". I responded saying they were a gift for my child's birthday and still wanted the movies. Then they changed their response and blamed me saying "this order was cancelled due to a glitch in your billing address." There is nothing wrong with my billing address. As a business owner myself, it does not matter who is to blame. All I want to do is apologize and make things right so you will continue to do business with me. All they want to do is pass the blame. Now my child's birthday present will be late. They made no attempt to get me the movies. They just wanted to blame me. I wish I had read the reviews before trying to do business with them!

Shady Point #1: Was asked if I wanted to be a member to save money, but was not told that it would cost me. After I already signed up, I noticed that I will start to be charged after a 1 month trial period of $11.99 per month. I created an account in their app and decided the discounts and coupons weren't for me and not worth it so I decided to cancel. Shady Point #2: Trying to log in to my account online didn't work. I was sure I had the correct password but it wouldn't log me in. So I tried the "forgot password" feature but that doesn't work either. It just loops me back to the login screen without sending any email or way for me to reset my password.

Shady Point #3: Calling them to cancel brought me to a live person pretty quickly, which was nice, but they did try to convince me to stay a member. Even reducing the monthly cost to $4.95 a month but I just wanted to cancel. The person said they understand and that they have now cancelled my membership. However, since then, I have not received any kind of email confirmation that my account has successfully been cancelled. I have a strong feeling that my account wasn't actually cancelled and I will be charged later in the month. The Takeaway: Just do not bother with this membership as it will cost you more in time and money than it will ever save you.

BIGGEST SCAM EVER!! DON'T SHOP AT F.Y.E!!! I bought my daughter a sweatshirt from f.y.e. and was told by the cashier I could save 10% off my purchase by signing up for their "free" Backstage Pass VIP program. She told me I could cancel it if I wasn't using it enough but never informed me of any charges or that they would use the card you used in store. I thought it was similar to other programs other stores offer for free but a month later I started receiving tons of magazines in the mail (not uncommon as I receive a lot of junk mail usually) but a month later noticed over $100 in various charges out of my checking account.

I called the numbers associated with the charges on my bank statement and found out that f.y.e signs you up for 3 different magazine subscriptions plus $11.99 a month for their "free" VIP club. I had to call 3 different numbers to get everything canceled and was told I would receive a refund in 3-5 days (we will see). I also had to canceled my card for my bank because they tried to charge me an additional 11 times the morning before I called to cancel (I moved my money into another account while I await another card). This is shady business practices all the way around. I'm wary to sign up for any other "saver" cards because of this experience and will never be shopping at f.y.e again!

I made a simple $4 purchase at at f.y.e. at East Brunswick Square Mall, and the clerk asked me to sign up for a "free" program to get discounts. I canceled it prior to the 30-day trial expiration, yet they gave my credit card number to magazine subscription company and I received $113 of unauthorized charges. What is worse, the number associated with the subscription will not allow you to cancel without signing you up for yet another scam. There needs to be a massive class-action lawsuit against f.y.e. to shut down this criminal fraud.

Asked at checkout if I wanted to sign up for FYE VIP (thinking it was free). Only after I signed up was I told by the cashier that there would be a fee after a 30 day free trial (I admit that it's my fault for being so gullible). Anyway, was told if I wanted to cancel to just call the customer service number (she made it sound so easy). Of course when I called, I had to speak to an actual customer service Rep to do so. I told the Rep that I wanted to cancel and he went on and on about how great of a program it was. At the end of this speech, he ended with, "So let's keep your membership for now, okay?" Excuse me? Do they think I'm that dumb to be like, "Oh, okay sure!" I wanted to cancel right there and then and that was that.

After I repeated to him that I wanted to cancel, he quickly gave me a cancellation confirmation code, which I missed, (I was multi-tasking at work) but figured I would get an email confirmation, which of course I didn't. After reading these reviews I realized I had better get that confirmation code because it sounds like they are going to charge my account anyway. I called again, asking for an email confirmation and I was told they do not have the resources to do so (which is laughable) and that I could get a paper one instead through the mail. I said that was fine, and I would like my confirmation code again, and they gave it to me, which was surprising. I was also assured that my account will not be charged. We will see about that.

Like many others here, I was STRONGLY persuaded to join this club when I bought a gift for my husband at FYE. I initially declined, but the cashier went on and on about how it's totally FREE with no obligation. She said it was just like a savings club (like the ones grocery stores have). There was a line waiting behind me, so I said "fine."

A month later, lo and behold, a $12 charge shows up from FYE. I call, and the CS rep proceeds to try and sell me magazines, change my subscription to a different one, basically everything except address the reason I called. I told her I felt really tricked and taken advantage of. She didn't even acknowledge anything I said, and just kept trying to sell me more stuff. After I finally had to be borderline rude (which I hate!!) to get her to stop trying to sell me things and just cancel my subscription, she reluctantly said she would cancel it. I was out the money, but glad to have at least cancelled the subscription.

Today, I got another $12 charge (which will likely overdraft my account). I immediately called and they CS rep again tried to tell me how great the subscription is and told me it was silly of me to cancel since it's such a wonderful thing to have access to all the savings, etc. I again had to be semi-rude to get him to stop and actually listen to me. He finally agreed to cancel my account and said he'd try to get the charge refunded to me - but that it would take 7 days.

This is horrible and predatory. I will never, ever set foot in an FYE store again and regret ever stopping by. I'll tell everyone I know not to go there either. I hope they are held accountable for this at some point. This is so unscrupulous. I hope someone sees this before they get caught in FYE's trap and it saves them the grief (and the overdraft charges).

I would to first thank f.y.e. for taking all but $20 of my money, second I would thank them again for not buying me dinner first.. I had troubleshooting problems purchasing 2 items and they charged me at least 5 times for those 2 items and now they won't answer their phones. These gifts weren't meant to rob my entire account. Thank you again f.y.e., I hope you are met with an end because you deserve that.

I was told that in order to cancel, we had to call the customer service number. I did so 2 weeks ago and received a confirmation number. Today I noticed that my bank statement showed f.y.e. had still charged my account. I called again to see what happened and the rep I spoke to Charity, told me that there was no record of such phone call on my account... but told me that the account was now closed and I would be credited my money back. Thankful, I still asked what happened on their end that would've caused a malfunction and she got an attitude with me and said "I've closed your account, what do you want me to do!? We record our calls and there's nothing under your name... You must've called another number because there's nothing here. Your account is closed and you'll get your money back, so what do you want!?"

Excuse me!?!?! I want for the system to not malfunction to the point where I have already gone through this process, to not have it happen again. Definitely not your attitude or telling me that I must've called another number to close ANOTHER account, when this is the ONLY f.y.e. account I've ever had. Absolutely uncalled for.

Much like the people before me, I too shopped at FYE during and around Christmas season of 2018. I remember being offered the backstage pass rewards program, and because we don’t shop at FYE often enough, we kindly declined. We were then encouraged to do so, with the employee stating it was a FREE REWARDS PROGRAM. She then went on to tell me how much money I’d save today, just by giving her my email address, and address to send us coupons. Of course like everyone again before me, we thought sure why not? Something like a Kroger Plus Card, I don’t shop at Kroger ALL of the time, but when I do I have my rewards/loyalty card!

So we gave her my email address, phone number, and address. She then asked if we wanted to choose 2 magazines for a certain price for the year, and we declined. She then said, "OK your total is $**", and we proceeded with the transaction of the items I was purchasing, and that was the end of it. I never received any correspondence in the mail, never even received an email. I realized I’ve been charged TWICE for this!!! And again like everyone else before me, I never authorized FYE to charge my card for a membership, nor did I ever sign anything agreeing to this either. This seems like a bait and switch scam. I don’t even trust to purchase things there anymore unless I’m doing so with cash.

Rip off nonrefundable membership. Same issue as the hundreds already listed on this site... Just wanted to add to the masses to make myself feel better. What a scam. It stinks that there is not any sort of recourse and they will continue to rip off innocent people...

Before Christmas time I stopped into FYE to pick up a quick Christmas gift. At the register I was promoted to sign up for the backstage rewards program, which I respectfully declined. The cashier insisted that it was free and all she needed was my email. Well long story short I have been charged TWICE for this “free” rewards program to my card.

When I called customer service, I spoke with Tony, and when I said I wanted to cancel, they proceeded to give me all the details of the program and said they would keep the membership active and would drop the payment to $4.99. I said, "You aren’t understanding. I would just like to cancel because I don’t use it, nor do I shop at fye." She rudely and too quickly for me to write down gave me a confirmation number and hung up.

I called back and spoke to a representative name Mark that gave me a confirmation number. When I asked about a refund for this month as I was just charged today and have never used the pass. He rudely said, "We don’t give refunds" and hung up. Not only did I experience terrible customer service but I was also lied to/tricked into something I would be charged for that I was told was free. Absolutely disgraceful fye! Will never shop here again.

In store (Ocala, FL) I was pushed at checkout until I signed up for this rewards card - the cashier would not complete check out for over 5 mins. I was told that it would be easy to cancel by phone. I tried to cancel by phone because for some reason I could not log in to the website (even though I completed registration). I requested a new password and username multiple times from the web form and I never received a link to reset it. Called the 877 number and was on the phone for over 10 mins because the customer service rep simply REFUSED to cancel my card. He said he could lower my price to $4.99/month and to have a nice day - he was hanging up! I asked him at least 5 times to just cancel the card.

The final time he immediately told me it was done and gave me a "cancellation number" which was suspicious because he started reading the number immediately while I was speaking. I asked to make sure I would get a confirmation email of the cancellation and he mumbled something and hung up. Later, I was finally able to access my online account (on my own, because they didn't help) and the account was never cancelled. I was able to cancel it online under the Account page, and I got a cancellation email a couple of minutes later. Ridiculous experience overall!

I did some last minute holiday shopping at f.y.e. in December 2018. When I paid I was presented with a discount program called Backstage Pass, I said sure and gave the retail associate my email address and that’s it. I never authorized they use my debit card for future transactions, nor was it explained to me I was being signed up for an $11.99 a month membership. Well lo and behold, that’s exactly what happened. When I called customer service the lady whom I spoke to cancelled my membership, but then told me they would not refund me my money because I had agreed in the store to the terms and conditions. I had argue with her about how I was essentially lied to in order to get my money back.

I was offered the FYE Backstage Pass VIP on October 8, 2018 while making a purchase. I remember the sales associate giving me information on the “Backstage Pass”, but I don’t recall authorizing a monthly charge to my credit card. It was presented to me like a discount card which I said yes to, but I did not authorize them to charge my credit card $11.99 per month. All I did was give them my email address and sign the receipt for the purchase of items from their store. I was charged for the Backstage Pass on 11/9/18, 12/10/18, and 1/9/19. I just discovered today that my credit card has been charged by FYE for the last 3 months. When I went to their web-site to see if I activated anything, I had NOT, AND I never signed up.

I just activated my account today in order to CANCEL these charges. The credit card they charged is the same credit card I used on 10/8 to make the purchase at FYE. Since this appears to be an UNAUTHORIZED transaction, I have asked for a refund of the 3 charges to my credit card. Also, when I activated my account today, I noticed there is not a credit card number stored on the account. I sent an email this evening since their customer service number is open Monday-Friday and not on the weekend. This is a very deceitful way of doing business. I am very disappointed in this company and will never shop here again.

My husband found a cd he has been wanting. It claimed to ship in 2 to 4 weeks on FYE's website. So we ordered it online. And then we waited. And waited. The 2 weeks went by. We chalked it up to maybe the holidays got in the way. After the holidays, still nothing. We checked online. It still says "In Progress". So I contacted customer service which claims 2 business days to respond. A week later I get a cookie cutter response from a "Jenn" claiming the item was on back order due to a special availability listed on the product page when placing this order.

LIE. There is no such listing claiming it was on back order. In fact, I went back to the cd and checked every single word and nothing claimed that it was not in stock. If it wasn't in stock it shouldn't be for sale in the first place but that's just me. So I asked "Jenn" if she could cancel our order. She responded within a few minutes and said she's sorry for any inconvenience but once an order is "in progress" there is no canceling it. But that I could return it once I receive it. So I find it in bad taste to sell something online without letting it be known it's not in stock in the first place. I also find the customer service severely lacking. If something hasn't been shipped, why can't you just cancel it. I ordered it on Amazon. I'll get it in 2 days. Thank you, Amazon. I will not order from this company ever again.

I am a college student paying tuition and books out of pocket. My job is working remote as a training manager for hotel call centers. When buying my sister a gift at the Town East location last July the store clerk offered a discount if I provided my email for a Rewards Membership. Wow - great marketing! Fast forward to today I realize they have charged me $11.99 per month. I check my emails, no receipts or statements of the transactions. I call the support line and spoke to an agent by the name of Serena/Selena and explain that I haven't even used the membership since the first purchase!

Agent Selena/Serena, scoring big points on her calibration grade, tried to sell me the membership I was blinding paying for. It took my knowledge of call center operations to finally get a refund of the last month. I hope her call is reviewed and a training opportunity is sent for conversation collision. As far as the storefront goes, do not trust the employees. They probably get an incentive so of course the fee is left in the fine print. I could have bought my Marketing Fundamentals textbook with the profit they made from me. You have been warned my friends.

I shop at f.y.e. maybe once a year. When I checked out cashier asked if I wanted a rewards card. I asked what it was and she said it was free and like a supermarket card. I said okay and ended up with a 11.99 charge a month later on my charge card. What a dirty way of stealing from people. Beware of shopping there. I won't ever shop there again and will tell everyone I know about this.

I have major issues with this order and needless to say I will absolutely never do business with the company again as result. My order was split in two shipments, one on tracking was sent back to f.y.e. as delivered god knows why. The other has been sitting on USPS accepted since the day after I put in the order. ALSO I never received a refund for the item that was out of stock on my order. I need a refund for the canceled item. I need either a refund for the shipment sent back to you or that order reconciled. And I need an explanation as to why the second shipment is still sitting in accepted. Ordering gifts on Cyber Monday and after Christmas still fighting your "customer service" for resolution.

My wife stopped in to pick up a couple of movies for Christmas. A simple purchase, right? Should be uneventful. At the register she was asked if she wanted to sign up for the rewards program. She declined. The woman persisted. She declined. The woman said, "Oh, it's free; it's like a Kroger card." BS. In trust, she finally just says fine so she can leave the store. The next thing she knows, my wife was signed up for some subscription rewards plan at FYE with a $12 monthly fee? No. She called customer service to cancel and was given some BS about 10-50% off going to the movies, eating out, shopping if we just send in our receipts?

She was FINALLY able to get out of it, thankfully. This is absolutely DETESTABLE business practice. Their business model is to sucker people into a monthly payment plan and live off the passive income... Must be some incentive for employees to push the program... For everyone that figures out a way to cancel, two won't notice the money is coming out every month. It makes me sick. I will NEVER shop at FYE again and will bring this experience up any chance I get.

I wanted to order a 6 in 1 turntable from this shop, and though it was considerably more expensive than other sites, I thought I'd give it a try. It turns out, at checkout, that the shipping cost for the $120 turntable was $112! After researching, I discovered that they ship $5 per pound, which is atrocious for some of their heavier items. All things considered, there are a million other places you can buy items like these, with half the concern and cost.
