I was a member for a long time and the gym was a mess. The jacuzzi sauna area was nasty, the bathrooms were filthy and there was way too much broken equipment that was never fixed. Then I went in to get the free membership offered through the Silver Sneakers program, they signed me up and STILL took my money, now I'm having to fight that. They don't answer the phone, the automated system for Corporate just hangs up, no person available at all. It's a mess.

I have been a member for 33 years and this is the worst condition I have ever seen the gym. Half of the equipment is broken. Has been for months. There is only enough equipment for half of the people that show up for group exercise classes. Management refuses to buy any more, which leads to people hoarding weights. The floor and mirrors and bathrooms are filthy.

Been a member for a long time. New ownership now. Went in today, three disinfectant bottles & no towels. Paper towel available. Must have been half a dozen by the treadmills complaining about the disinfectant and towels taken away, Disgusting to say the least. Just what I want to do is get on a piece of equipment AFTER someone sweating all over with little or no way to clean. Going on the cheap.

For years I had a 24 Hour Fitness all-club lifetime membership that was cancelled by a club in Littleton, CO (Kipling) that I had not visited in many years. On 10/19/2025, when I was notified of the pending cancellation, I tried to call and use the “Contact Us” website messaging system to reach the Kipling club to stop them from cancelling my membership. I never received a response. I called the club I have been using for the past several years in Castle Rock, CO and they initially told me they would transfer my membership to them. Then, when I tried to use the Castle Rock Club they told me they would not transfer my membership.
I called three different customer service numbers with most directing me to my local club for help via a recorded message. When I finally reached a representative, they said there was nothing they could do and suggested I send my complaint to an email address that turned out to be fake. I also sent a message to 24 Hour Fitness corporate headquarters via their “Contact Us” website link and via direct email with no response. I checked the Better Business Bureau and saw many similar complaints and in each case, 24 Hour Fitness refused to reinstate cancelled memberships. At this point, I am at a loss as to how I can get my membership reinstated at my previous annual rate.

The Lynnwood WA location has a constant foul smell of urine odor throughout the men's locker room. No one ever cleans and the showers have mold and broken tiles throughout. Cleaning staff is never around.

I joined your gym in November 2024; I attended 1-2 times. It was nearly impossible to find parking. It usually took as long to find parking as it took to work out. So, I called the guy who sold me my membership and expressed my unhappiness and asked for a refund. Which he declined, I express my displeasure and told him I would not be back. I just saw on my credit card statement 11-01-25 a renewal fee of $275.88 and an additional charge of $16.00 for which I don't know. I am requesting a refund and cancellation of membership. But when I called about this matter @9 am, the sales Mgr. said he would call me back. He never did.
So at 1 pm I went in and was told I have to speak to GM Ashley **. She was informed I was here and why I was here, she never came out to speak with me so after standing there in the lobby for 15-20 minutes, I went into her office. She yelled at me and threw me out. She eventually came out and threw me out of the club. I asked for corporate phone number and she gave me a wrong number. The charges on my credit card statement a renewal fee of $275.88 and an additional charge of $16.00 for which I don't know. I am requesting a refund and cancellation of membership please. As you can see I never returned to your gym. I do not wish this issue to become adversarial. Please review my attendance and grant me my refund as this is causing me mental anguish and pain and suffering. Horrible customer service. I would suggest some charm and manners classes for Ms. Ashley **.

The manager from 1850 Ocean Avenue SF this morning spoke Spanish to me just to make me feel that I’m not good enough to deserve his time to try the installation because he thought I can’t pay for the membership. I told him With that attitude I can go to other Fitness and he said you can do whatever you want. I can’t believe you still hired this kind of people!!!!

I would like to say that 24 Hour Fitness has some of the best staff I've ever worked with. Josh at the front desk is amazing and always has a kind word to say to all who sign in. The staff who run the classes are great people as well!

The 24 Hour Fitness in Castle Hills, Texas has gotten steadily worse over the years. The pool and hot tub are typically filthy as are the locker rooms. There have been numerous incidents where the pool was closed because someone defecated in the pool. It’s disgusting. The management has no regard for customers especially those who’ve been there a long time. They are of no help whatsoever when you have a problem. When I wanted to contact corporate to complain they gave me a non working number and refused to be of any help. I had a lifetime membership but won’t be going back to such dreadful unsanitary conditions.

24 Hour Fitness seems to keep any information regarding Regional or Executive managers secret, as there is no one to discuss this with. I have many pictures I can share. There is such a cloak of secrecy that no concerns may be addressed by an authority with more decision-making and problem-solving skills and the ability to enact change! Really useful gym. They have good hours of availability (no not every location is 24 hours). The equipment is good, usually relatively new and maintained but not cutting edge. The best thing is they have a lot of locations so really great if you travel a lot. Price is fantastic if you are grandfathered in to some of their old deals but for new people a little on the high side. For me one of the things I liked best is they have a pretty mature clientele so pretty controlled environment.

Dairy Ashford Club in Houston always dirty. I cannot use the the restroom because dirty and smell real bad. You cannot breathe in there. Out of supplies 80 percent of the time and why you call it 24 hours if only open 4 days 24 hours and 3 days until 10 pm. I think that's cheating. I complain several time to the manager Mr. **. Never did anything.

The Kew Gardens location has gone downhill. There hasn't been air conditioning in ages, which is sick. Who skimps out on AC at a gym, especially during a heatwave? The equipment breaks, as well. Additionally, the check-in scanners don't work properly, and it's nearly impossible to hold our phones in just the right position for them to function. What's worse is that the staff yells at the members for not being able to scan our phones, like it's our fault. Basically, we're paying an ample amount of money per month to pass out from heat and get gaslit.

I like the gym and equipment. Cleanliness is minimal. They vacuum the walkways but the machines are never deep cleaned. Worst of all is the air conditioning is kept at 75 in the blazing heat and humidity and the company does not respond to consumers at all.

It's unbearable to work out in the Body Pump class, which is a closed room, with neither fresh air flow nor air conditioning. Management has done nothing, no updates, no timeline, and clearly no urgency. It's a health risk and completely disrespectful to paying members.

Unfortunate Marketing Strategy. I work out at the Irvine “24 Hr Fitness” facility. The facility is very popular and commonly crowded, but at certain times manageable. I recently was approached by a young associate, who offered a program of coaching, which I had been considering, to expand my workouts. This “Coach” pressed me to sign a 3-month agreement, which would continue if not cancelled. I agreed to the 3 months, because he was very accommodating about scheduling and outlined his skills in the areas that I need improvement.
After signing up, he suddenly became available only in the evenings or weekends, (the absolute worst time for crowds). The second Saturday morning appointment, he cancelled. I expressed my desire to cancel the agreement. He was quick to remind me that we have a 3-month commitment. And, by the way, these training sessions are only 30 mins each, at a cost of $40.00 per 1/2 hour. They don’t point that out in the presentation! When you see someone with “Coach” on their work attire, run, you’ll save money and get a better workout!!!

Hello, I'd like to provide feedback regarding my recent renewal process. I have been a member for several years. I've paid my membership dues for the entire year upfront. In early May I started to receive several calls regarding new lower rate for the exact membership I previously held. After speaking with an associate at this location, and since I was up for renewal, I thought WOW same membership for lower price can't beat that! Well, that couldn't be further from the truth. I paid the $233.69 upfront digitally signed all the paperwork without being advised there would be an annual fee of $64.94, It was my mishap of not reading the agreement in its entirety. However, I was advised the new membership would be the exact same as the previous membership just at a lower rate.
After I realized I was charged an additional $64.94 in addition to the $233.69 I immediately called the location and spoke to the manager called Brett. Brett was condescending, kept speaking over me before I was able to complete my sentence and advised me "you have two options, either you can keep this lower rate membership and pay the annual fee or I can move you back to your more expensive membership without the fee". In addition he advised me he would refund the membership because I was outside of the cancellation period by a few days.
As a long-time member, I feel I was deceived and was not heard when my concerns were voiced. I've never wrote any negative reviews about this location although the facility has not been upkept for several years. Needless to say, I cancelled my membership after this membership is completed due to the unpleasant experience I received.

I joined 24 Hour Fitness in May 2025, and I regret ever signing up. I was never able to use the pool, sauna, or jacuzzi after 9:30 p.m. because they were always overcrowded—especially with men who dominated the space and made it uncomfortable for others. They would sit around the pool area, behaving inappropriately and making rude comments about women, including remarks about their bodies. I reported the issue to the front desk, but instead of addressing my concerns, they dismissed me and mockingly called me a "Karen." On top of that, the facility was consistently dirty. After just a month, I decided to cancel my membership and switch to LA Fitness, which has been a much better experience.

I had been a member since 1996. I had an All-Club membership since that time. I had recurring monthly payments of $27.00 a month since I joined with no issues all these past years. At the end of last year (2024) I received emails from 24 Hr Fitness stating that my membership fees were being rejected by my bank (BofA...another business with its own issues). The fees were attached to my debit card. There was no reason that I knew of for this problem. I went to my local 24 Hr location to inquire what to do since I was late on payments and had no idea why the bank had been refusing the debits. I was allowed to re-apply for a new membership for $1.00 and according to the employee, everything was back on track. I was pleasantly surprised that everything was so easy. That was 3 months ago.
Today, I received a call from 24 Hr telling me my membership had been terminated due to non-payment since October. I explained what had occurred and that to my knowledge, everything was ok with the membership. He told me that he saw that I had been in 3 months earlier, but that a half hour after that re-application transaction, the payment was declined. 24 Hr never notified me of this. He offered me a new All Club membership for $33 a month saying that my old membership was one club only. I said I had always had an All-Club membership, and he said that was rescinded after Covid. I was never notified of that, either. What is wrong with this organization that they feel it's ok to treat their members like this. Typical American corporate attitude in my opinion. I told him that none of these issues had been brought to my attention by 24 Hr after I supposedly dealt with the matter and that my resolution was to part company with his organization.
Now I will go to BofA and cancel any debit withdrawals to 24 Hr. You would think that since they hadn't been paying 24 Hr for whatever reason that I wouldn't have to do that, but if I don't, BofA will start suddenly paying the debit again! Just the way things seem to work these days! SMH. I will admit that I hadn't been going to the gym in quite some time, especially during Covid, but had kept my membership (or thought I had). I have an outdoor patio home gym now but liked the idea of going to 24 Hr for the amenities, when the weather isn't so great for a patio workout and/or just for a change of pace now and then. I also admit that I don't overview every single monthly debit payment that my bank supposedly makes because I assume it's being handled. I guess I'll look for another gym now. I'll also contact BofA to see why this was occurring, but I'm sure I'll get more shoulder shrugging and insincere apologies from someone in India.

This is one of the most filthiest fitness club I have ever been in! Men’s locker room first thing in the morning when they open at 5:00 am is the worst I have ever seen, nothing cleaned. Floors so dirty you don’t want to stand on, toilets so disgusting you don’t even want to see or even get close to them! In other words word you can not use them. Why is this? Do they not have enough money to clean this club? Personally I would pay more to keep club clean, maintain the entire club including locker rooms and bathrooms! This is disguising! Daniel **
