I never buy anything sold via infomercial. If the thing sounds good to me, I buy the same item at Amazon.com. So far I have had excellent luck buying there, not extra stuff that I didn't order and no extra charges on my credit cards. I ordered one of these items and the additional heating pad, and I am very pleased with the results. I have serious back pains, and a half hour or so on the light machine makes the pains tolerable.

I requested a replacement pad (per their warranty) because the original pad burned out in 10 months. The first 6 customer service reps I talked to used the excuse of having trouble. And they basically hung up on me when they could not answer why I could not get the correct replacement pad. These guys are all based in India (I believe) and are very difficult to talk to and understand. They are trained to give you the runaround and all have the same spiel - annoy the caller and get them off the phone.

I saw the infomercial on 7/5/11 and decided to try it. I placed my order and waited for delivery. I waited for about 2 weeks and nothing. Then I decided to call 866-631-9886, the salesperson said to call 866-951-1434 which is EST. I called and they said it was shipped but advised I never received. I usually ordered items from other companies and never had a problem. The representative insisted it was sent by the USPS, again I said I did not get it. I was waiting patiently, thinking it was on backorder. Then the end of July, nothing. On the initial call, they said they will send me a claim form. I gave my email but no email showed up. I called again and they said email will come.

Then I decided to call my credit company, I told them the story and they credited my account. My credit card company said they have 45 days to respond. Then the next day after talking with my CCC, an email showed up. I did not check my email for a week not expecting anything from them. I filled the claim form and faxed it on 8/15/11. Today, I went to collect my mail and found the post office left a pink slip saying package left at the manager office. I picked it up and low and behold, the Light Relief item and to top it off, they included some joint pills. I never ordered that.

This company is one ** of a company. They are out to cheat people. I will call my CCC on Monday and let them know. I will call Light Relief on 8/27/11 and tell them I do not want their ** product and do not charge me a restocking fee. This is not an ethical company. They should be ashamed of themselves whoever is the CEO of this. I hope he or she knows know how badly their company is running, but they probably don't give a **. All they care is about the money, no matter how they get it. I'm a very dissatisfied consumer. The product might be good, but I do not want to find out because their service **.

I purchased a light relief unit on February 23, 2011. Unit was received in mid March. There was a two-year guarantee, the unit stopped working in mid July.

I called several times and was given a runaround--told to reset, etc. An email went unanswered. Finally, a call resulted in the demand for additional fee for replacement.

I ordered the Light Relief in March 2011. It was told I will have to pay 39.99 (two payments). They took payments in March 2011. In April, they started charging amounts like 24.90, and the other month, 19.90. It is July 2011 and they keep charging me for some joint-relief pills I have never ordered. Whenever I speak to someone, they say, "We will look into the matter and we'll stop charging." I have also sent messages to their online customer service but no one ever gets back. It has been months now. So far, a $77 worth thing has cost me $188.96.

On 2/5/11, I placed an order for my mother, (the order is in her name & we live at the same address) for one of the infrared devices for her arthritis. While placing the order over the telephone, which was automated, I kept getting offer after offer about different products. The more I said no to each offer, another one came thru. This went on, and on, and on. Finally I hung up & told my mother I did not have a good feeling about this company. So we decided to cancel the order immediately. It was late Saturday evening and the place was closed. I emailed them, but they said it was too late to cancel the order in a reply email. The email also stated that my mother could refuse the package & they would give her a full refund including shipping and handling. The package did not come, until about three weeks after it was ordered.

My mother was not able to refuse the package, because the mail carrier rubber banded the box to the outside of the mailbox. So I took it to the Post Office & I wrote on it, ‘return to sender’, because the package was never opened. I have never had trouble with a return that I wrote ‘return to sender’ on the package, which is recommended by employees at post offices. My mother has not received a refund for anything. Every time I call the company, they say there is no record of a package being returned. They sound like a bunch of robots, repeating the same thing every time I call. They rattle off some script about the date the package was delivered. It has been about a month since I took the package to the post office. On top of this they had been charging my mother's debit card without her permission for some vitamins she did not order.

The person I spoke at another part of their company said the package had some kind of vitamins in it & that if they did not hear from my mother to discontinue the vitamins, they would automatically charge for the vitamins and keep shipping them. I told her the package was never opened & when I placed the order for my mother for the infrared device, I never ordered any vitamins. We found this out, when my mother received a package in the mail. We never opened the package. This time I sent this package insured & with order confirmation, which cost me almost $6, which is not much compared to the $132.35 my mother is out of.

When I spoke to the person about returning the vitamins, she came across as being very dishonest. She told me unless I write some numbers down that, she gave me, on the front and back of the package and insure the package, the company would not give my mother a refund. Also she told me the very same day that my mother received the vitamins that there was another pending order for some more vitamins, but that she could not stop it. I told my mother she needed to hurry up and call the bank and have her debit card number changed, which she did. Something has got to be done about this company.

I ordered Light Relief on a TV ad. I signed up for what I thought was 2 payments of $39.95. I figured I would give it the 10-day trial and if it did not work, return it. Well my Visa bill came, and on it was a charge for $114.28. This made me nervous so I went to the internet to see what was said about Light Relief. I found out it was a scam. I called them immediately and told them I did not want it. They gave me a number to put on the box. I got a notice from the post office that the box had come in. I went in, explained the situation, did not take possession of the package, put the number they gave me on it, and it was sent back unopened and marked refused delivery by the post office.

I then had to call, give them the tracking number the post office gave me, it is on the receipt that I got. I called, read it to them 2 times, verified the number, etc. They said it would take 6-10 days upon receipt of the package back. I told them the receipt said they should have the package back by Jan 26. I was told I would have to pay a restocking fee of $19.00 or close to that. Today I checked my account, I was credited back only $19.43. I called and was told the tracking number was not correct. I told them I was going to report them to the Oregon's Attorney General for fraud. The gentleman put me on hold and then hung up on me.

Be aware and beware! This product has an extremely sophisticated marketing campaign on television. Unfortunately, it has an equally sophisticated way to take orders over the phone to the detriment of the consumer. The consumer is required to give all of their credit card information to a digital recording and then as a captive audience, listen to a number of additional offers with the promise of monthly payments taken from their credit card if not cancelled within 30 days.

Only problem there is that I was virtually held as a phone hostage and forced to listen to the promotions while waiting for the final billing information.

Every time I attempted to cancel or say I was not interested in additional products (at one point, I was so frustrated that I was screaming into the phone as the option of "no" seemed not to be accepted), it seemed like I was going to receive them. This assault ended with no information about the amount spent on the original order. I tried to cancel my order because of these horrible tactics but it was clear that I was to wait until delivery at which I would be given a cancellation number. I do not want delivery and do not want to deal with this company.

I will update this complaint as I hope to speak with a live representative of the company first thing on Monday. It is my hope that the order will be cancelled without difficulty but considering the phone tactics and the prior consumer complaints, I doubt it. I have alerted my credit card company but I resent having to now deal with this company. This is no way to run a business and I caution again: do not place orders with the "Light Relief" company. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB based upon their phone tactics, consumers should have an option to cancel their orders and avoid their strong-arm sales pitch. Aside from time and aggravation, there are no other consequences to date. I am disputing any charges if the cancellation process proves cumbersome.

I saw Light Relief on a local TV program and thought I was ordering that item only to find out that it is a scam. They offered it for two payments of $39.95 plus shipping. When I ordered it, they offered a second one at half price. I keep calling and they keep saying it is in the mail. I have cancelled that charge card, but I am out of 159.00. What a fool. I will never order off of TV ever again!

I ordered Light Relief via Infomercial (TV) and got product a while back. Last night I got a package w/Joint Supp 60 day Supplement which I didn't order. I called their ** number and was told that a Welcome letter came w/my product along w/complimentary Joint supplements. They said the welcome letter mentioned that I would be put on an auto pay for supplements unless I cancelled.

I don't recall seeing anything like that when I received the Light Relief and I didn't keep the letter. I did not order the Light Relief for Joint Pains as I have no Joint pain problems. I mentioned that when I ordered the product there was no mention of the supplements and that I would be put on an auto buy program for their supplement.

I asked to speak w/their supervisor and was told that their supervisor was unavailable and would return my call. I have not heard from them regarding the above incident. I am now out of pocket $54.85. If I chose to return the product and get a refund, I would be out of pocket $9.90 for shipping ($4.95 shipping to Hawaii and another $4.95 to ship it back). This company is very deceptive in their marking practices.

I placed the order, I was not given a receipt, and when the email arrived confirming the order there was no receipt attached. I called customer service and they were very short with me, would not talk, and would not forward a receipt. They said the package would have a receipt in it. I told them I needed it for customs and duty and she told me I would have to wait until I had the package. I told her I could not because I had to turn in the receipt for customs and she hung up on me. I am stopping the credit card charge with AX and filing a complaint with American Express also.

I ordered a Light Relief on 31 May 2010, over the phone, calling the original number that was given for this company among many 1-800 numbers! I asked them to send it to my address above in San Diego. I never received it. After calling the order status number back, about the middle of June 2010, they told me that it was delivered 5 June, via USPS, to my address. I never received it.

I called again, in the next couple of days, and got another operator, who told me that it was still on its way, and that I would get it in a couple days. They gave me a bogus USPS tracking number which I checked via the USPS 1-800 number and online, the number did not exist. I never received the Light Relief. I then called again last Wednesday, 23 June, and told them that I did not receive the order, and that I wanted to get it reshipped to another address, to my name at a local UPS store here in San Diego.

I told them if I did not receive it, I would be asking for my money to be refunded. Prior to this, I also threatened to report them to the authorities, if I did not get my product ASAP. They told me they shipped it on 23 June to my name at the UPS store address in San Diego. Well, it is 26 June, Sunday now, and I wouldn't be surprised if I still did not receive it here this next week, the week of 28 June. I ask your help here to either get my operational product, or get my money back via a lawsuit filed, etc. I am not sure if I should try and report them to the BBB. I put a request in through my bank to try and get my money back, etc. I request you please contact me on this right away. Thanks.

My compliant concerns a purchase for "Light Relief" a device advertised on nationwide TV as an ad. I would like to forward you back appropriate receipts, and related paperwork back to you, concerning this defective device, and the pledge from this LLC Company, of replacement within a 2 year warranty on the item. I wait for your return-response, so that I can attachment all documentation, concerning the receipts, and the Light Relief Company's policy. I have called them directly, and kept on hold indefinitely, time after time. I have emailed them also. We even sent back the defective device, to their specified address, with no contact whatsoever from their people. Hopefully, you may be able to do something that we can't, but none the less, this is a direct complaint against this company.

In August 2009, I saw a commercial for Light Relief. Robert ** indicated this product helped those persons with arthritis. I ordered three Light Reliefs as gifts for Christmas, since it took 6-8 weeks for delivery. One of the Light Relief's was for my elderly parents who are both in their eighties. This was their Christmas present, and upon unwrapping, the Light Relief did not work/operate. I examined the Light Relief and found my parents were correct, the product did not work.

I contacted Light Relief at 8007439852, explained the situation and was told by customer service, at least 3 times, to send more money and I would receive another Light Relief. I found that to be ridiculous since I was receiving an inoperable piece of equipment in the first place. So via my credit card company, I returned the Light Relief for credit. Now that it's been over 90 days, my credit card company states they cannot take action on refunding my money.

So I'm out $91.00 of my money, holding no product since returning it to manufacturer, and no Christmas present for parents who need it. Light Relief has a two-year warranty, and I still have not received a workable replacement for the one I returned. My parents are without Christmas presents, or me without a refund.
