On the good side. Device is comfortable and does make high pitch sounds more available (sometimes too much so). I was hoping these would help with conversation in restaurants. Unfortunately hardly at all. The bluetooth is inexcusable. Often I can't pair the widex with my phone. And when I do the range of the bluetooth is horrendous. Listening to Itunes on my Iphone requires I hold the Iphone within a foot of the hearing aids. It fails when my phone is in my pocket. Widex should not claim it has bluetooth compatibility it is so unusable. The widex costs 2000% more than my bluetooth headphones which work seamlessly and have excellent fidelity. Don't lie about the bluetooth compatibility. I can sometimes struggle for a 1/2 hour trying to get it to pair unsuccessfully. I regret my purchase.

I needed to replace my 14 year old Phonex Hearing aids and bought Widex on recommendation. They have been in and out of service for the past 2.5 years. The left aid started high pitched screeching sounds. (So I was told when I was asked in two doctor's office to turn it off. They were hearing it in the next room with the door closed.) I myself would hear very high pitched annoying chirping sounds barely audible for me whenever I was in a totally quiet room. The right aid would cut down certain frequencies while in conversation or just walking along the street (extremely annoying and distracting). Attempts to correct this resulted in the same outcome. Then the right aid just quit and the left aid was so bad I started using my old aids. Due to my own fault, through illness, I was unable to get them back to the office the last time before the warranty ran out. The Audiologist checked them and found that there was heavy corrosion in both battery compartments.

Something I have never heard of or experienced with the Phonex in 13 years. I agreed to have them repaired at my cost. Upon return they are the same as they were before left and right. I attempted to find an email, chat, or phone number to contact the Widex Corp. They lead you on a merry chase on the website with all sorts of links to Support and Customer Service. But it is all a smoke screen after going through the exercise several times, I found all it does is finally give you a very large message on the screen to contact your provider. My Provider has been more than helpful and it appears the problem evidently must be with the devices

themselves. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau requesting a new set of hearing aids. They never responded to the BBB. According to my own experience and other complaints I have seen, I consider these aids to be of poor quality and Customer Support is Non-Existent.

I spent over $3,000 on the best hearing aid they had (Widex PerfectDry Lux ZPower with Charger/Dryer). It was the worst decision I ever made. The recharger started failing within the first few months. Over the past two years, I have sent the charging unit and hearing aids in to be repaired 4 times. History of hearing aids and charger. 04/04/2020 - purchased unit. 07/07/2020 - Charger not working. Returned for repair. 05/19/2121 - Hearing aids not working. Returned for repair. 08/16/2021 - Charger not working. Returned for repair. 08/30/2021 - Charger was not assembled correctly. Had to send it back to correct. 08/02/2022 - Charger not working. Returned hearing aids and charger for repair. 08/ 26/2022 - charger not working - they would not accept the charger back to be repaired under warranty. Warranty valid until 04/04/2023

Since they have not been able to repair the charger, I asked to have the charger replaced. The distributor tells me they cannot and will not replace the charger because Widex no longer makes it. They tell me they have no way to repair the charger/dryer. The only solution that they offer is to have me go to replaceable batteries. The whole purpose was to not have to replace batteries. That is why I paid over $3,000. Since they no longer make the charger/dryer, I asked them if they would replace the hearing aids and charger/dryer at a minimal cost since they are still under warranty. The answer was that I would have to make a NEW purchase. Widex is a total RIP-OFF. The warranty is not worth the paper it is written on and they do not stand behind their product. There is no way to get to the company directly about this issue and the distributor is incapable of maintaining what they are selling. Avoid Widex - save your money.

Got my Widex hearing aids in February 2022, now June 2022. The app to operate my hearing aids says my left one has 0% battery. Started showing this about 3 weeks ago, but the hearing aid was working fine. Widex had an app update and a hearing aid software update which I did, but now since the app thinks my left hearing aid is dead it won’t update the software in that hearing aid. Which in turn will no longer let me use the app to control my hearing aids. Since the battery level problem started I’ve emailed Widex twice and have yet to receive a reply from them in 3 weeks.

My Mother-in-law had the EXACT same experience as others on this forum. We purchased the latest and greatest Evoke rechargeable model hearing aids only to find that after two years the rechargeable function completely stopped working, and there was no way to make it rechargeable again. My mother in law has carpal tunnel and it is very difficult for her to open and close the little door to change the batteries every couple of days which is why we were willing to pay so much money for rechargeable ones in the first place. Widex's solution was to allow us the pleasure of paying out of pocket for a better model that was rechargeable or they would convert her current ones for free to work with the disposable batteries.

I don't trust that the newest model would fair better than the first time around. We want our money back, not have to pay MORE money for another product that may very well stop working as it should in just a couple of years. Now we have a broken door from all the opening and closing to change the disposable batteries and have to either PAY to have it fixed because they are now out of warranty, or buy new ones. This company has completely taken advantage of my mother-in-law. We should have been given a full refund since the sole reason we went with this product was defective.

I have worn hearing aids for 20+ years and always purchased Opticon. In 2018, after my yearly hearing check-up to purchase new aids, I was told that Widex was superior to Opticon in several ways, including the rechargeable battery option. I trusted my provider's opinion and purchased Widex aids as well as the rechargeable battery package. Within 30 days the left hearing aid stopped working nearly at the same time that the rechargeable apparatus failed. Widex "fixed" the left hearing aid but did not refund the extra $350. I paid for the rechargeable system even though they recognized it did not work. Their "solution" was that I should use regular batteries.

Since 2018, the right Widex aid has also had the receiver replaced and the left aid is once again in November 2021 not working at all. So, I have now purchased Opticon hearing aids again. My opinion is that Widex hearing aids are simply overpriced junk and no one should consider purchasing Widex aids. In addition, their customer and technical services are completely uninterested in any problem you will have. Notice I said "will have" because I'm certain of that.

I've worn hearing aids for the past 38 years, starting as a toddler. Widex has been tried and true. Run through a washing machine as a kid? Oops... no problem; dry it out, turn it on. Solid. Dropped a bunch as a kid? Oops; no problem. Switched to digital around 2003 and never looked back. I wore Oticons for a short 3 year stint as an adult, and they just can't compare. I'm now back to Widex Dreams (330) as of 2019. Unfortunately, the right hearing aid has failed repeatedly every 3-6 months, requiring warranty repairs. The left hearing aid is tried and true; never a single problem. However, the right aid begins to fail by compressing sound in loud environments despite the compression setting. It then snaps back into working properly.

Eventually, the right aid simply turns off without warning in loud environments, the returns on its own a few minutes later. I've sent this aid in for repair and rebuild (now starting my 4th attempt), and all have proven unsuccessful. Fresh batteries, clean filters, nightly cleaning. Widex is a fantastic brand (as evidenced by my left aid and all previous models I've worn, digital and analog, BTE and ITC). However, one star is docked because I cannot hear my children in the back seat while driving, and this creates a potentially dangerous distraction. I cannot continue in this fashion. I still have my previous models (antiquated digital technology) that are more reliable than this daggum right hearing aid.

I purchased the Widex Evoke rechargeable hearing aids. I have had random shrill beeping in my ear and my audiologist sent them in. I was told they were having an issue with the rechargeable batteries and would not be replacing those anymore yet I paid an extra $300 for that feature. However, even with regular batteries the hearing aids continue to beep randomly even after being sent back to widex for “fixing”. I’m sure this will keep up (sending back to “fix”) until my warranty is up and I have to shell out another $3000 for hearing aids. What a waste of money! I want a brand new pair at no cost or my money completely refunded, not widex to keep trying to fix them especially since rechargeable is what sold me.

Purchased the latest/greatest Moment HA and was expecting an amazing experience all around. While I am pleased with my ability to now hear everything around me with great clarity under most conditions, I am less than pleased with poor streaming of music and podcasts to my HA. Unless my cell phone is less than 24 inches from my HA, audio fades in and out resulting in a terrible experience. My audiologist was able to return my original pair thinking that the antenna was defective. Received a new replacement pair today and there was no improvement. I contacted Widex technical support and was told they have heard from others with this problem and they are working on a software and firmware update. They could not say when the issue would be corrected. Needless to say I am very disappointed and may return the hearing aids and consider another company. For almost $7,500, I would expect better.

In terms of hearing I do not find a noticeable difference between the two. BUT in terms of using my bluetooth to watch TV, my Phonak were far superior to the Widex. Unfortunately my wife refuses to give them back so I am stuck. At 85 I hope I don't have to buy anymore but if I do they will be Phonak instead of Widex.
