My go to has been the past 8 years the Starbucks in Trumbull White Plains Road. I love their people! Every single of them has been kind, sweet and always welcoming. They make me feel like family. I love them and am grateful for the staff they hire. Thank you.

I ordered the oatmeal and added blueberries. I was very disappointed that these were not fresh blueberries, but dried blueberries, but put them into my oatmeal anyway. I also ordered the nut medley and received the dried fruit instead, which I did not use since I already had the dried blueberries. Was not what I was expecting and very disappointed to receive wrong items after the upcharge for it.

Went into the Starbucks in downtown Hilo, Hawaii, and the experience was unacceptable. The staff refused to serve me inside, claiming their registers were “closed” and that they were only taking online or drive-thru orders. This was clearly false and came across as an excuse not to help. The customer service was dismissive and unprofessional, and overall the way this store treats customers is terrible. Everything about the service at this location reflects poor management and a lack of care for the people who walk in.

She gave me my coffee, and later the guy gave me my croissant! Ok where’s the 3rd item??? My fault because I should have checked my receipt and saw only 2 items on receipt and my name was missing!!!!
Guy apologizes and then says he’ll give it to me free, I said thank you!!! He winds up charging me instead for the nut bread! I’m still waiting for it after paying and he says oh yes there are customers ahead of you! I said yes, but it’s packaged why the wait???? 9:54 til 10:20, ridiculous! He decided to go and get the packaged item!!! I’m no longer a fan at this location nor a customer! The barista wrote a very rude comment on my cup instead of writing the name I gave her. It was a first name, very simple, put the customer first if you want to have a thriving business. Be rude and snarky then you will lose business. I don't know who Nancy is or Kirk, up top it says "don't lose your juice", whatever that means.

I said I do every morning, and asked if they wanna see my drink I recently purchased. They said yes, I went. Got my half full drink from my Pierce Transit work van.
When I waved it while doing the pee-dance, Myhlei **- the manager said "you have to buy something in order to use our bathroom- but I could sell you the cheapest thing on the menu". I was shocked, and felt betrayed. I asked who's the manager, and she said she was and happily handed me her business card. The other employees had a look on their face that said- "What the hell!?!" I vowed to never shop Starbucks again, and now I'm stuck with all these reusable cups (about 30 of them). I called headquarters, and was told I would get a call back, but never did. Dear Starbucks Corporate and Store Manager, I want to bring to your attention a disappointing experience I recently had at the Glen Allen VA Starbucks. I’ve been a loyal customer for years, often spending a great deal here purchasing drinks for my wife, who loves trying the new menu items. I share this because I want to be clear — I value Starbucks and would like to continue being a customer.
During this visit, I asked for a simple order: a cup of water and two pup cups. I was told that pup cups required a purchase, which I completely understood. However, when I asked for just water, I was also told that I had to buy something. Wanting to understand the policy better, I went inside and politely asked if this was a new policy and if I could see it in writing. The young man who identified himself as the manager first attempted to show me something on a tablet. When I explained that I would like to see it posted somewhere in the store, we checked together — and found no such policy listed. At that point, he told me: “You’re not getting anything until you buy something.”
I want to be clear: I was not upset about the policy itself. I was upset about how it was handled. Instead of a respectful explanation, I was met with a dismissive attitude. The manager walked away mid-sentence, gave me a “thumbs up,” and even redirected me to someone else, saying “Don’t worry, he’ll tell you the same thing.” This type of response was unprofessional, dismissive, and unnecessary. I left without issue, but I did so feeling disrespected — not as a customer who has spent a lot of money here, but as a person simply asking for clarification. Policies may change, and I respect that, but customers should be treated with courtesy and professionalism when they have questions.
I am not looking for compensation or special treatment. What I am asking for is acknowledgment that the way this interaction was handled did not reflect the customer service standards that Starbucks is known for. I would like reassurance that situations like this will be handled with more respect and professionalism in the future. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I hope to continue being a loyal customer of Starbucks — but I also hope to see improvement in how policy questions are handled by store leadership.

Some customers often have negative experiences with certain staff members, particularly those in leadership roles. It's important for companies like Starbucks to prioritize hiring the right individuals who can provide excellent customer service. When employees, especially those in leadership positions, respond with attitude rather than professionalism, it creates an unpleasant atmosphere for everyone.
Starbucks is known for its warm and friendly environment, so it's crucial for the company to uphold these values by selecting team members who genuinely care about their customers. A positive attitude and willingness to assist can make all the difference in creating a memorable experience. Those who work in customer service should be trained not only on how to make great coffee but also on how to engage with and treat customers respectfully. By ensuring that the right people are in these roles, Starbucks can enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty. It's essential for businesses to cultivate an environment where employees feel empowered to provide excellent service without resorting to negativity or frustration. In the end, a more considerate and approachable staff will lead to happier customers and a better overall experience at Starbucks.

They stole my $30 after sending my order to a different store than the one I was going to in order to get to my grandma before she had surgery after working all night. I have dealt with their chat, phone, and email people. They decided they solved it by giving me a $30 gift card instead of refunding my money after I spent $60 on Starbucks for the day just trying to get some coffee and breakfast. They absolutely refuse to give me my money no matter what I have done. I will be leaving reviews everywhere I go. Guess what? I spent $10 a week grabbing Starbucks from the gas station to take to church...no more. I used to stop and have breakfast and drop $20 or more into your stores. No more.
I haven't been to your facilities or purchased any products of yours since you did this because it's terrible customer service. I've got my friends to quit buying your stuff too. And you know what...the other smaller brands I buy and local cafes that get more of my business now are WAY BETTER than the slop you put out. Service is good, drinks are good, but the plastic cold drink cups are defective. Very difficult for the baristas to close tightly, then almost impossible to remove the cap and re-seal yourself. In fact, the force required to close the cap at the counter frequently leads to damage to the cup itself, leading it to split down the entire length of the cup, unloading your cold drink on you, your car, or your floor. Very messy and sticky, if you are having a cold, sweet drink like passion tea or lemonade or a thick cold drink. I took the split cup back to my local Starbucks, the manager says he sees this "very frequently," as in multiple times a day. Starbucks is allegedly aware of this problem, but still have not replaced the cups with anything sturdier or more reliable. Be careful when you order a cold drink, and ask them to double-cup it.

I've recently realized how difficult it is to find a Starbucks that has electrical outlets available to customers for charging laptops and cell phones. At first I thought, "Oh this particular store just never installed them." However, that's not the case. They have purposefully removed them in order to save electricity, a slap in the face to us loyal customers who spend gobs of money on their overpriced drink and food already. I always figured, well it makes sense, I'll pay the extra price for the opportunity to enjoy hanging around using WiFi and tapping some power, but they've gone too far now. Uh uh, you guys are not right!
I still appreciate free ice, cold water and whipped cream for my dog, but in the back of my mind lurks the knowledge that re: electricity they have given only to have taken away. After finding coffee shops that serve even tastier drinks (McDonald's leaves you in the dust!) I'm no longer a "Starschmuck," I've banned you for good, and unless a friend invites me, I might never step into a Starbucks ever again! Shame on you guys!

I’ve had more than one drink made incorrectly according to my request. When you nicely tell them it’s supposed to have less ice or more cold foam is wrong they have an attitude. It’s sad because I enjoy going to Starbucks for the most part. More training to follow directions and attitude.

Unbelievable…. Rachel at the Starbucks on 301 in Ellenton just exhibited the most unprofessional treatment of a customer. I gave the cashier a $100 bill. She went to get someone else to help her with it. This other person, Rachel, came to tell me they didn’t have change for a $100 bill. I admit that I did chuckle at the idea that a business that does the volume that they do didn’t have change. I am not ever a person that laughs at someone but yes I laughed at the situation. Then, in answer to the question if I had other smaller bills, I made the mistake of saying “just give me the coffee." I had also ordered food but had enough to pay for the coffee. So then Rachel thinks I’m suggesting she “give” me the coffee. Again that is not who I am. I paid for my coffee. The communication breakdown continues!
On top of it all, at this point this Starbucks employee tells me I’m rude and seems to want to continue a ridiculous banter. I was already having a sad day and now this is just unheard of to me but I guess I was taught right. My first job was Publix and you never talk to a customer that way at Publix. Prices keep increasing, hospitality decreasing, very unwelcoming overall. Why I am saying this to the BBB in particular is because of the "star rewards;" they say 25 stars covers an espresso shot but it doesn't, it only covers $1 of it. That is blatantly false advertising. I want a refund for every time I have used my stars for a shot only to still be charged for said shot. It might seem like I'm nitpicking here but they probably made millions off of people who didn't know this was the case and they should be forced to refund every cent. What happened to Starbucks? **A Disastrous Experience with Starbucks Customer Service and Gift Cards!** If you’re thinking of using Starbucks gift cards, beware—you may be throwing your money into a black hole! I had received several gift cards as gifts, and after combining them into one card, I had a balance of about $60. Excited to use it, I attempted to make a purchase, only to be told by the cashier that there was an error. Confused, I checked the Starbucks app, only to find that my card had been **closed**—without explanation.
This kicked off an infuriating marathon of terrible customer service. I first called support on **May 20**, and they opened a ticket, claiming they would escalate my issue and that someone would reach out. **That never happened.** Three days later, I called back, and again, I was told it was escalated and to wait another **three to five days**. I sarcastically noted that it had already been three days, so I was prepared to wait five more.
Fast forward—seven days later, still no response. I tried their **chat support**, which was even worse. The representative couldn’t see my previous interactions, forcing me to **re-explain the entire situation**. I was instructed to call customer service yet again. After much clicking and fumbling, I was told my case would be escalated again. **Again?** At this point, I demanded to speak to a supervisor. Once connected, the supervisor asked me to—again—**explain everything from the beginning**. And then came the kicker: he nonchalantly told me that the funds were **lost**, and there was **nothing they could do**. No explanation. No recovery. Just an utter loss of $60 worth of gift card balance.
Oh, and guess what? There’s **a class-action lawsuit** and numerous complaints from other customers facing the **same issue**. If this is how Starbucks handles service recovery, then it’s clear they couldn’t care less about their customers. What a **disgraceful** way to run a company! Want to avoid frustration? **Stay far away** from Starbucks gift cards—you might just end up with **nothing** to show for it.

Starbucks customer service problems are self inflicted. They are not focused on solving real problems like long wait times and having a common sense approach to serving customers. Their solution is to have the staff shout welcome to you and draw smiley faces on your cup. Typical corporate brainstorming crap. Now it's about changing the uniform (at the employees expense) so that you can see that green apron more clearly while you wait 15 mins (at 6.00 am in the morning in NYC) for the 2 people in front of you to get served. Why is it that every time I ask for a cup of coffee I have to wait for it to be brewed. A coffee house that hasn't fresh brewed coffee instantly has obviously missed it mark.
Oh and the latest one where they make the font on the pay screen larger so the person behind can see what tip choice you've chosen. They probably hope shaming people to leave a tip will cost them less in real wages for their staff. They have a real upper management problem and maybe they need to step out of their offices and stand outside their stores and ask their customers how they can do better by them.

I don’t usually write reviews because it feels time-consuming, but I feel like I have to speak up. I’ve been going to the Starbucks on Southern Blvd in Royal Palm Beach for a while now since it’s close to where I live. But honestly, I’m not sure how they manage to mess up my drink almost every single time. I’m a regular customer, and my drinks are usually over $7 because I add foam and other extras. So yes, it’s frustrating when I receive the wrong drink, especially over and over again. I’ve spoken up a few times—always politely—saying something like, “Hey, I think you made my drink wrong.” But instead of correcting it properly, the staff often re-make it wrong again, and sometimes with an attitude. It almost feels intentional.
At some point, I just give up and leave with whatever they hand me, which is not okay when I’m paying that much for a drink. What’s even more confusing is that when I go to any other Starbucks, I never have this issue. This location definitely needs better management and customer service training. I have followed all recommended steps, including multiple password resets, attempting to log in via the app and website, using different devices and internet networks, and even reinstalling the app. Nothing has worked.
I have contacted Starbucks customer support multiple times via chat and phone, but they have failed to provide an effective solution. Each time, I am given generic responses and asked to reset my password again, which does not work. This is unacceptable, especially because I have accumulated Starbucks Rewards points and a cash balance in my account that I am unable to access. I am requesting an immediate resolution, either by restoring access to my existing account or by transferring my rewards and balance to a new account. If Starbucks does not resolve this issue promptly, I will have no choice but to escalate the matter further. I expect a prompt response and a definitive solution to this problem.

So not only were you not able to get what you paid for, but they also would not give you your money back, So be mindful that they will steal from you every chance they get next time you go in here. I will make sure I spread the word to everyone that will listen about the thieves here and we will not stop until something is done about it.

I used to be a loyal Starbucks Customer but over the few months, I noticed the quality of the drinks dropped. I just purchased one of Starbuck’s seasonal offering, the Lavender Oat Matcha Latte (with whole milk instead of oatmilk and vanilla flavouring) but I was met with disappointment when I realised after consuming most of the drink that a huge portion of it is comprised of water, I paid $6.84 but it was not at all worth it. I even witnessed the staff pour water to the drink and dilute the drinks of other customers. Truly disappointing that Starbucks isn’t living up to its values and I don’t know how they could justify their high prices based on this low quality drinks. Other drink stores sell much better quality of drinks. I’m very disappointed and I definitely don’t recommend anyone going to Starbucks.

I visit my local store at least 3-4 times a week (6731 Dixie Hwy Dixie Manor). In the past 3 weeks, EVERY TIME I go, they get my order wrong. No matter if I order on website and pick it up, have it delivered or if I'm in the store. Knowing they stay busy I hate to mention it but it's not what I paid for. The staff is amazing and always fix/remake it but WHY is it every time. It's not a complicated order; in fact, it's a popular order. Only thing extra, I get, every time, is Carmel lined cup, sweet cream foam, Carmel drizzle and Carmel Crunch topping. I either get none of the Carmel, or none of the Carmel Crunch topping, or they give me whipped cream instead of the sweet cream foam. When I read my cup, it is always correct on the order sticker. Not sure why this trend has started but it's frustrating.

I have ordered this exact same drink for the past year or so, and I’ve only got it perfectly correct a few times compared to how much I bought it. There are times where they forgot to add in the oat when I asked for oat base. There are times where they do normal or extra ice, when I ask for less. Today I bought this drink and the foam from the drink was just too infuriating, I could not just get over it compared to the other times as this affects how much liquid is in my drink. A good inch of my drink is foam from the matcha and no it's not a milk foam or any add ons. This is pure from the matcha. Every time I order, I ask for less foam as well because of this yet, it’s like the way I want my drink doesn't matter. First sip is pure foam. With how much foam there is, there is a tall rather than a grande.

Tony the Manager is good, and the one regular supervisor named Eli is cool, but the other 2 girls need some improvement. There is one who I found out is named Sierra and is definitely not superior material.
There is a blonde-haired teenager which I was informed named Mercedes is not a good barista and I’ve seen and heard use foul language and talk negatively about her coworkers even when customers are sitting in the shop and can hear her. Very disrespectful. She did not do a good job making my latte, and I asked her about fixing it and she did but with an attitude and went complaining to the person next to her who happened to be none other than Sierra herself. They do not do a good job at keeping quiet. If you get annoyed by a customer, make sure they can’t hear you. For a company that charges this much for a snack not to mention a simple drink you've lost a customer. I felt like Norm from the old TV show 'Cheers.'
About a month ago there was a new staff on who seemed to get flustered about the details of the order and out of nowhere he snapped at us via the microphone accusing of saying something negative and wasn't responsive when we asked what was going on. When we go to the window it was even more clear that he was frazzled and seemed to be nervous. He continued in his rude manner, so we got our drinks and left. My friend went in the next day to complain to the manager and spoke with the staff that has rainbow hair.

The the rude on came over abruptly and appearing very upset stating that we "have been rude to staff, at least once a week."
We returned that evening to try to make sense of what happened by speaking to a manager. We were not greeted when we came in and the staff would not make eye contact. The rainbow haired girl stated she couldn't serve us and couldn't explain why. Then stated that we'd been rude to staff and how my friend cursed at them as well. This is liable, those statements are not true. When asked to repeat what things were said, she refused stated "I'm not going to repeat those words. I think Starbucks should rethink their choice of CEO. Since Howard Schultz left Starbucks there has been an increase in inconsistency storewide. Several of these issues is the lack of consistent policies about Starbucks brand, services, and cards--specifically GOLD Cards. These cards were sent out years ago to loyal customers and they are able to track rewards add money and receive discounts. Discrimination occurs when a store says they can't accept a Starbucks Gold Card or number, or the poorly trained staff and even so called managers do not know how to input Gold Card information to pull up these long time Loyal Starbucks customers. Most of these customers own some stock in Starbucks through their 401ks or other retirement or stock Initiatives.
The poorly trained staff and management who all are NEVER on the SAME POLICY PAGE creates the endless cycle of calling Corporate speaking to customer and community relations VP, to Regional Managers calling customers vowing to retrain their staff on Gold Cards, Pets on Patio Policies, Rewards Values, Policies on Refills for Gold Card Members. These inconsistencies make for the WORST Customer Experience. With so many stores --Starbucks Needs Consistency in its treatment of customers and execution of standard policies (ex Gold Card) across all stores. Customers should never leave a store thinking --- now here is a store where the NEW Staff and Staff Turn Over know nothing about customers who have been customers for over 25 yrs.

As a 20 year veteran patron of Starbucks, having visited their stores all over the U.S. on a regular basis, I can honestly say with some considerable authority that Starbucks is a terrible company. From repeated wrong orders, to the recent drive by them to make their stores less hospitable, I am always leaving their stores with some sense of disappointment.
I have made essentially the same exact order at probably 50 different stores over the past few decades and somehow, a simple order is presented to me in the wrong size, or iced, and on some occasions a different beverage entirely. Not to mention the prevalent problem of cashiers asking if I want a snack warmed, me saying no, and 3 minutes later getting a warmed snack item. THAT happens about 30% of the time.
The baristas are mostly not friendly. They need to hire habitually, pathologically friendly baristas, not the sullen, introverted, anti-social people they've been hiring. This is a service industry, after all, yes? Their customers are paying the several hundred percent markup on food and beverage items, so is it too much to ask for friendly service?
Another thing I noticed is Starbucks in many areas are removing power outlets in their seating areas and also even removing seating. I visited one store that I used to frequent regularly after being away for 3 years and they had removed the sink in the one and only restroom where they once had 2 restrooms. One was changed to an employee only restroom.
And then there's the issue of inventory ALWAYS being out, and for some reason it then becomes a wild-goose-chase to manually look for more of a snack item. It's absurd. I would roll up to drive thrus at different stores, ask for a snack item, and they'd always say "let me check," then go walk around checking various nooks for the item.
Starbucks apparently hates chocolate. They have been slowly phasing out chocolate based snack items and that baffles me. Triple chocolate cake, gone, Dark chocolate covered graham crackers, gone. Chocolate dipped madeleines, gone. Chocolate covered almonds, gone. I despise Starbucks and if there was an alternative, I would not hesitate to patronize it.

I recommend, if you have to children or somebody that doesn’t drink or finish all of it I would suggest you getting them 1 drink to share. But we had no problems at all. The taste and convenience has kept me coming back. However, I'm done paying 6.73 for a mug of chai tea latte. The final straw was being charged 7.05 for the same drink, iced. Pure and simple. Senior budgets don't allow for this luxury any longer. And, I don't want to pay more to cover free drinks. I haven't go around to measuring yet but that cup in my hand feels a little smaller. Also, the convenience has become a hassle. Long lines while with staff shortages or people ordering complete lunches in the drive through line.. Rant. Funny thing happened in Starbucks today. Customer orders a drink the drink is over filled and coming out of the hole in the top of the cup. Customer picks up drink and drink spills. Customer looks around for help and is ignored so customer takes drink and leaves. Barista runs out of store after him screaming, “Thanks for making a mess for me to clean up.” I guess that’s now what Starbucks considers good customer service because she did say please. I bet she's exactly the one that puts the tip jar on the counter every morning.
Of course none of that explains why at half the Starbucks I go to the skinny vanilla lattes now taste like **. But you can bet I wasn’t going to ask that witch to remake it. I just tossed it and added the location to my list of ones I’ll never go to again. The list is getting pretty long. Today I go into a random Starbucks on my way back home. I spent $10 and change on a latte and a coffee cake. Not good guest service, but certainly not bad. The credit card reader displays a message; asking if I want to leave a tip - about 3+ Choices - I choose $2 for the tip... my order is now $12 plus change. The barista turns away without any acknowledgment of receiving an extra "tip" onto the over priced coffee order I purchased. This bothers me as I walk over to a table to sit down.
I'm starting to get bothered by this lack of appreciation for the added $2; especially as I DIDN'T have to do it... I went back up to the counter and told the cashier that when someone goes out of their way to tack on an extra $2 as a tip when you did absolutely nothing more than the job you're already getting paid for, you should "thank" the customer, again I didn't have to do that, and I won't ever do it again. The manager then informs me that the cashier never knows somebody is tipping them until they get their paycheck where it reflects the extra tip money.

I am compelled to share my continued disappointing experiences with Starbucks, especially in light of my loyalty and significant monthly expenditure of around $300 at various locations. My primary issue has been the consistent quality of the coffee - often not hot or fresh - which is unacceptable for a brand of Starbucks' stature, and this problem has been consistent across multiple stores.
What deepens my disappointment is the lack of proper response from Starbucks' customer service. Despite several attempts to address these quality issues, the response has been underwhelming. Unlike other service providers like Uber, who have promptly addressed service lapses by offering compensations such as free service for a period, Starbucks has failed to acknowledge or compensate for their repeated shortcomings in service and product quality.
The lack of a proper response or any form of compensation makes me feel undervalued as a customer. It appears that customer satisfaction, a key pillar in the service industry, is being overlooked in pursuit of profit. As a long-term customer, it is disheartening to reach this point of dissatisfaction. My hope is that this feedback prompts Starbucks to reconsider its approach to customer service and to value the satisfaction and loyalty of its customers.

Maybe if you don’t have enough product to last even a couple of days, push back the launch until you do? I was so happy to get the email that it had come out that I left work on my break to brighten my day and so very disappointed to get there at 12:30pm and find out that it was all gone. I filed a BBB complaint last month because Starbucks canceled my Starbucks Reward cards. I couldn't remember the balances, so I guessed about $9. Starbucks played nothing but games and tried everything they could to avoid responding to the complaint. I received a couple of phone call messages asking me to contact them directly and discuss the matter. The number provided was the customer service number and when I spoke with one representative, Linda hung up the phone on me. I did not use my card since 2012 which is my prerogative. Because of this and other reasons, Starbucks decided to close my Starbucks account. I reopened one about a few weeks ago and added a new card that I have not used yet.
When I called customer service and spoke to Joseph, he stated that the $8.10 card was deactivated because it was reported stolen. Joseph also seemed to have a problem with the small balance. I am not about to give a MULTI-BILLION DOLLAR CORPORATION any of my money no matter how much it is. Mind you, the card was always in my Apple wallet on my phone. So the only way to steal this Starbucks wallet card is to steal my phone. Which never happened. On my recent Starbucks complaint, customer service tried to say that my new card needs to be moved to my wallet and gave me directions on how to do it. In other words, they are implying that the new card with the 0 balance is what I am complaining about.
Starbucks is still playing the same games they did on my first complaint. I strongly believe Starbucks steals Starbucks balances to make up for the lost money from the "so-called" Pandemic when their franchises were closed and many had to go out of business causing Starbucks to lose all kinds of money. I am quite sure I am not the only victim of Starbucks theft. I have attached some documents below on Pissed Off review.

I would give Starbucks zero stars if I could. I received an email that I would be receiving a birthday reward on the day of my birthday and it would be good on the day of my birthday only. The email also stated that the reward would be for any drink or food item. I went to an Starbucks near my home. The cashier told me my coupon had expired. I told her I don't have a coupon. Its a birthday reward. I ordered a sandwich. The cashier said I could only purchase a drink. I showed her the email. She said, let's try it and swiped my card. She said it didn't take so she asked if I wanted a drink. I told her to just give me a venti hot coffee. She swiped my card again and said it didn't work. Then she asked, "Are you sure it's your birthday?" I showed her the email that said in big letters, 7/15. I told her this is July 15 and this is my birthday.
By then I was getting really angry. I told her that was okay and I would phone customer service at Starbucks. She asked if I wanted to make a purchase. I thought why would I want to make a purchase? I went home and called customer service. The rep told me that I could use my birthday reward only once. I told her I knew that but I did not use my reward. She said again, YOU-CAN-ONLY-USE-IT-ONCE. I told her, I DID NOT USE MY REWARD. The rep said it showed on my account that I used the birthday reward. I asked was that about 15 minutes ago? She said yes. I explained what happened at the store and that the cashier swiped my card 2x. The rep said she would put a coupon on my account and I have 24 hours to use it. She said 2x, "I am doing this only this one time." I told her, to hold on, because the way she was speaking to me, it seemed as though it was my fault. It was Starbucks error, not mine.
I just went online and there was no coupon and my account now showed that I used my birthday reward 3 times on July 16. It is NOT JULY 16, IT IS STILL THE 15TH. I give up!!! I am not going to even bother to turn in my reward tomorrow. It's not worth the irritation. What a rip off!!! After I use up the balance on my card, I am not going to Starbucks. I have had enough of this companies deceitful ways. A 16oz Grande and 24 oz Vente both have 2 shots of espresso. All you are paying for is more milk which weakens the taste. Logically if a grande has 2 shots then a vente should have 3. The shots have already been reduced in size over the years. Secondly Tips are based on performance...to ask us to tip before we can even finish cashing out is no right. You are pressuring us to leave a tip before we even get our coffee. What if the service stinks? I think you should go back to using a tip jar that way if the service is good we can tip and if not we can leave. I am only one person but you have lost me as a customer and I will do whatever I can to spread the word.
You don't care about your customers enough in my opinion and the only way to prove otherwise is to make the changes that need to be made. You can start with the 2 complaints I raise. I was trying to give my order at the drive-thru, but apparently the person who was taking it couldn't hear me very well. A short, decaf vanilla mocha non-fat no-whip. Still, she had every thing right but the vanilla, so when she asked me if it was right, I said "Everything but the vanilla." She said she was having trouble hearing me, so I said loudly "Va-nil-la!" She said she was still having trouble hearing me, and for some unknown reason changed the drink to a grande vanilla latte, so I said loudly "Moch-a!" and then asked her why she changed the drink/size? She said she more about not being able to hear me, so in a very loud voice I said "SHORT... DECAF... VANILLA... MOCHA.. NONFAT... NO WHIP" At which point she said I was treating her badly and refused to take my order.
After some pointless back and forth I asked for the manager. She claimed she was the manager. I asked for the contact information for her supervisor. She insisted that I come up to the window, and after waiting for other customers, I did, and she gave me the business card for her supervisor. I asked for her name, which she refused to give me because I was being "too aggressive". She also claimed that the name on her apron was not really hers. I asked for a way to identify her with the supervisor and she would only give me three digits from her employee number.
Suffice to say, after telling me multiple times she couldn't hear me and then, in a clearly passive aggressive manner, refusing to take my order when I tried saying it loudly enough so that she could hear me, I find it hard to imagine ever wanting to put myself through this again. It's a shame - after 30 years of patronage, I think I'm done with Starbucks over-priced drinks and childish staff.
