First no answers the phone after 6 times trying then when they do they are rude as hell. Second they don’t care if they sell a pizza or not, they just hang up the phone in the middle of a conversation. SUCKS.
I ordered a cheese pizza with pineapples and found meat in my pizza. This is the second time this has the same store location on state street in Perth Amboy, NJ. I have special religious diet restrictions and I don't eat pork and both times pork was found in the pizza and all the manager can do is apologize. This is not acceptable. This is a serious matter that should not be taken lightly. The manager never does anything. How does pork end up in a pineapple cheese pizza? How do you make the same mistake twice to the same people? Sounds like maybe a lawyer needs to be involved.
Went in to pay and pick up my order. Pd, they didn't have the 20 oz drinks. They finally corrected price in register. Had me pay again. Asked what about 1st pay, said would auto return. 1 week NOT yet!
The Xenia Ohio Papa John's pizza location is horrible! I placed online an order for a X-large pizza in which I paid for with my debit card. Papa John's called me and said they are out of large and x large pizza dough. They would refund me in 5 days. Yeah right. It’s 9:30 at night and we are starving. She didn’t offer anything else. I told her to call the supervisor and have her call me. Then the girl who says she’s the manager calls me back and tells me her supervisor is on the way with the dough and I would have my pizza by 11PM. 10:30 comes around and I call to find out when our pizza would be here. They then tell me they already refunded me the money and if I wanted a new pizza I had to order a new one. So unprofessional. No compensation, no discount for the inconvenience nothing. I also forgot to mention that the first “manager” literally hung up the phone when I told her that we should have as many small pizza dough that they did have in stock that would be equal to a x large at the same price. I will never order from here again!!! They are miserable at customer service!!!!
Rude and unprofessional employees. You can bet that you Will wait at least 90 min and when it does arrive it will cold. Corporate does not care either. I've put in 3 requests for a call back through the website...still nothing.
I ordered my pizzas via the app. then tracking advised it would take over 2 hours to receive. I couldn't cancel the order myself through my account nor my email. So I called the store multiple times in which they would answer, then hang up or send me to a recording. I had to google the 800# & they still couldn't cancel my order. They stated they will email the store for my refund which someone will get in contact with me with 4-8 hours. SMH
Called in an order for a large cheese pizza and a gluten-free pizza. Became sick almost immediately after finishing my pizza. Called the store to speak with the manager thinking he would know that he was selling pizzas that weren’t really gluten-free that happened handled in properly and he told me that they weren’t gluten-free and then he proceeded to hang up on me. The location is on Robert Smalls Parkway in Beaufort South Carolina.
Ok what the heck happened to the sauce? Tastes like tomato sauce out of a can! Also the cut was way off - 2 small pieces and others cut totally uneven. It took 75 minutes to bring my pizza 2 miles from West Covina to Covina!!!! I used to buy Papa John’s but after this experience, never again.
This is a painful review to write. I have been a customer of the Papa John's in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA for many years. Due to poor handwashing practices, I stopped going to this location and started visiting the Papa John's El Toro Rd in Lake Forest, CA. Customer Service is fantastic and my pizza is typically made exactly how I order. On one occasion, I saw a live cockroach walk across the floor and crawl up the wall on the right side near the drink refrigerator. I pointed it out to the manager on duty who told me it must have walked in from outside. This caused me to stop going to this location for 4 months or so. During that time, I went to Papa John's in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA again. It looked like much of the staff had changed during my absence and their handwashing practices improved greatly.
On the one time I returned to Papa John's on El Toro Rd in Lake Forest, CA, I noticed a dead bug on the side of the freezer closest to the door. I did not point it out, however, I permanently stopped going to this location. I returned to Papa John's in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA up until 1 day prior to their permanent closing. On that visit, the food was cooked perfectly, however, the BBQ sauce they provided was expired - by more than 1 month. I did not realize it until we got home, ate a few poppers, and immediately knew something didn't taste right. I called the store and spoke with the Manager. They were polite and offered to have the General Manager call me back. They never called and the store closed permanently the next day.
I called the Papa John's on El Toro Rd in Lake Forest, CA and confirmed the Owner of both locations was the same. I asked the Assistant Manager of this location to have the Owner call me back. I shared my phone number was told I would get a call in a day or two. After two days, I called back and was told they were not authorized to replace the order. I again asked for the Owner to call me back. The Assistant Manager said they would call him immediately. About 20 minutes later, I called the store and was told the Owner would not be calling me back. I looked up recent health inspections and discovered the Owner's name is Sanjeev ** of OC Capital Group, called their cell phone, and left a message. They have not returned my call. Any Owner who refuses to discuss a legitimate customer complaint doesn't deserve to have my business.
Listen I was trying to give it a chance, but they disappointed us. Not only was it super expensive for a small pizza but it was also rushed. The crust tasted like cardboard and the pizza wasn't even cut right. Such a disgrace.
Pizza online Dickson TN. Was given a receipt of the cost & then picked up pizza box. Had core price then was overcharged & several times in the past the order has been screwed up & they just blow you off.
Pizza was cold, guy pulled up in unidentified car. No pizza logos, pizza wasn't in bag to keep it warm. Then I order 4 different ingredients which I could barely see. Where's my meat? I was very disappointed as this was my first time ordering from this store. Never experience this from any other Papa John's before then I tipped the driver.
This was by far the worst fast food experience I have had in my entire life. The manager on duty at the Lakewood office, Shauntel, Was very rude to me and actually hung up on me while I was still talking. From reading other reviews she is nasty to other customers as well. I ordered my pizza at 7:26 PM via the call center. I informed the call center that they could look me up at my previous phone number. I gave the call center my new contact information. The call center was able to look at my information that contain my old phone number and my current email address along with my old address. I discuss with the call center my new address. I was told that my pizza will arrive within 45 to 50 minutes. Normally when I place a Papa John’s order I get a confirmation email sent to me. This time I did not. I ordered over $30 worth of things to feed my family.
At 8:48 PM I called a local Lakewood Papa John’s and inquired where my delivery was. I was put on hold for about two minutes. The gentleman who answered the phone stated “my manager told me to tell you that the driver didn’t have the gate code and they tried to call me but the number was disconnected.” I explain to the gentleman that I live in a parking lot with many entrances and exits. There is no gate code. When you GPS my address on Siri or Google it literally shows a shopping lot. I also explained that I shared with the call center my new information. I explained to the gentleman that I also didn’t get my confirmation email and wasn’t sure that the order was even place to begin with. The gentleman asked if I wanted to speak with the manager because he only knows what she told him to say.
I waited an additional four minutes for the manager to pick up the phone. Shauntel reported to me that the driver did not have a gate code and my phone number was disconnected. I asked her what gate code she was referring to because I lived in an open parking lot and my apartment is literally right there. SHe rudely interrupted me and began to yell with the tone that her driver used his GPS and it showed that I had a gate code. I asked her if she was going to let me finish speaking or continue to interrupt me. I explain to her that I expect the same courtesy in return that I gave to her by allowing her to finish, while I silently listened. I explain to her that when you Google my address in any system it still shows the parking lot as it is a very popular area. I also explain to her the information that I gave to the call center that did not result in an email being sent to me to even confirm my order. Shauntel response was “Okay have a great night!” And hung up the phone.
I called back to get her name as I wanted to speak to someone about the way that I was just treated after I have waited over 1.5 hours for food, got no email to confirm my order, and was giving no resolution to my dilemma, and in fact was was disrespected. The lack of customer service from her was deplorable. The Young man who answered the phone told me to hold on while he got her name spelling and put the phone down. I then heard the manager yelling profanity in the background. Then she told him not to give her name.
The staff came back and reported that he wasn’t allowed to give her last name. I told him that I heard every rude thing that she said about me when he put me on hold. I told him that he had been nothing but helpful from beginning to end and I appreciated his kindness. I informed him that I would be making a report about the incident as no customer should ever be treated that way by someone who calls herself a manager. Not only was she disrespectful to me but she subjected her staff to Disgrace in her response to him.
Ordered pizza, delivery driver stated that they knocked on the door, which the main door was open but the screen shut. There was no knock. Called a manager on it and they stated the driver did indeed knock. They didn't even try to review anything. We tried to explain but the manager became very defensive and rude. Will not order again.
Placed order for large 5 topping, estimated delivery was 33-43 minutes (2:12pm). I track my order at 2:59. It's still at the store, mgr can't tell me when I will receive my order. 3:32 pm my pizza arrives via Door Dash. I can feel the pizza box is not warm, an hour and twenty minutes, $18 for cold pizza, yet another disappointing experience with Papa John's.
Last night I ordered the $14 special which was a large pizza with 5 toppings. When it arrived there were so few of each topping you could hardly see or taste them. I just want people to be aware that it's not such a great deal after all.

Well I order pizza last night the new stuffed crust and they had my name incorrect on the whole order and the receipt and when I called to place the order I went to a call center for Papa John's which I did not like at all because the woman that I spoke with her English was crazy and then I tried to use my husband's debit card. The lady told me it did not go through so I use my debit card. It went through and then when the delivery came it was the wrong Pizza. I had to call and they got my right pizza out to me almost an hour later but I still got it but when my husband checks his balance this morning he has a pending transaction of $31.81. That's pretty strange for for transaction that did not go through.
I just know that it will be awhile till I order from them again they need to stick to American people first of all and they need to just take calls from the store itself. It's ridiculous. Remind you while me and this lady was on the phone to barely spoke English we are both saying, "I can't hear you what did you say." Even though the pizza one was right one was wrong it was still very delicious. I love Papa John's Pizza but sometimes the service sucks.
I'm not sure why the delivery drivers don't understand no contact delivery. They have mandated so much during this pandemic but I guess PaPa John's doesn't think this applies to them. Maybe if they shut them down they would understand. I have a 94 year old parent in this house.
I have ordered Buffalo grilled chicken papadia. It was disappointing that they have sausage and bacon included even though it is not listed in the description. Really disappointed. My family ended up waiting 2hrs to get new order and ended in some other restaurant.
Ordered pizza delivery well in advance. To be delivered to a crew of 12 workers. We are Frontline workers for our company 3 shift operation. Had the delivery set time for 11:30 pm. Pizza never showed and they had my contact number. Never called or texted and said they could not deliver or ask at least for an earlier delivery time. I will never order from this company again.
I ordered a large pizza and waited while it was being made. I was surprised to see workers putting their hands *no gloves in the cheese and all the rest of the ingredients.... I felt disgusted to watch as they dipped in their hands with no gloves on and just going from one topping to the next doing the same thing. I took the pizza but didn't want to it eat thinking of their hands going through all the products from one pizza to the next.
Kingston Ontario store on Princess St has Poor and slow service, the pizza is $10 more than Domino's Expensive pizza. They would not honour a coupon specific to that store. I will never buy anything from Papa John's again!
The papadias didn't have hardly any cheese after ordering extra. Also very little hamburger meat. I was very disappointed. I order this in Roswell NM and didn't check the order until I arrived at Carlsbad NM.
Sorry to post this, but these pepper poppers where very hot, you do not taste anything but hotness, you do not taste cheese or anything else... Save your money, they are totally worthless... Worst take out food or eat in food I ever tasted...ever.
Food is cold, poorly presented, orders are incorrect, delivery drivers couldn’t care less. Just take $50 and flush it down the toilet. Or throw food away when you get it. Worst of the worst. And we have at least 6 pizza delivery franchises within a 2 mile radius. Papa John's, Del City, Oklahoma was a tragic choice. Never Again!!
We ordered a large works with a side of garlic sauce and peppers. Charged .$75 for 2 old and very dry peppers. Pizza was barely warm when it arrived. The driver left it on the ground outside the door with no barrier underneath, just the box sitting there. There was no seal that it hasn’t been opened as they advertise they do. Not happy about our food just being left sitting on the ground. Order # ** 9/15/2020 at 7:21 pm.
Johny the delivery driver at the 5310 Oxon Hill MD location was fantastic! He notified when he was en route and when he was at the door. Even though contactless delivery is available he still made sure we received our food and not just leaving it down! He waited nearby to make sure we got our order. The food came fast and it was hot and delicious! Johny shared his humor and made our day! Thanks so much Johny! We hope you get the recognition you deserve!
Do not order from Papa John's Pizza Whitehall PA. Asked for contactless delivery which I did not receive, delivery driver wasn’t wearing a mask and when I called the store the guy who picked up refused to give me his name, put me on the phone with his manager, or give me the regional managers information. He was nasty even after I told Him I’m high risk and he could have risked my life. He went on to tell me no one in the store including cooks are wearing masks because it’s too hot and he didn’t know about any state mandate. Then told me he didn’t have time for this and hung up. I had to throw the pizza out because I wasn’t going to risk it. He made me feel less the human with the way he spoke to me as well.
I ordered 2 pizzas and breadsticks a few months ago. It took them over 2 hours to deliver my pizza. After calling them over 50 times in a row, every time they answered they’d say “Papa John's please hold” and put a recording on. After an hour and a half with no food I eventually raised my voice the next time I called and said “I demand to know where my food is!” Eventually it came after 2 hours. Cold and hard. I will never be back. I never even received an “I’m sorry.” They did say I could have 2 free pizzas next time I ordered, but I’m like oh yea so the workers can spit it because they know I complained. I used to order at least once every two weeks. Sometimes every week. I haven’t spent a penny there in three months and I’m going to keep it that way.
I ordered from Papa John's, the food was cold and so nasty. The only good thing is they gave me my money back. They were very nice when I called to tell them to come pick up the food and I wanted a refund.
We have a BIG problem with the coronavirus here in Florida as you can see on the news. We always worry when ordering food for delivery or pickup thinking that it may be contaminated (eating in the restaurant is ruled out for security reasons). So we put the food delivered or picked up in the oven at 350 F for 5 minutes to try to eliminate any problems. It may sound exaggerated but in Florida's hospitals there is no space!
We also order from local restaurants to help them through these difficult times because when the pandemic ends we want to have some nice places to order from. So I ordered an uncut pizza, so I could put it in the oven as one piece. When it comes cut in slices it is very difficult because not being rigid each slice and putting the slices in the oven they fall off the grill onto the heating elements, the pizza slice is lost and the oven must be cleaned. Definitely I couldn't eat the pizza because of this problem, it went straight to the trash. I have been a loyal customer for some years, I am not looking for free pizza, think about the health of your customers! If we die, nobody is going to order food from you.
We are providing feedback on the Westlake, Hardy, Va location. If I was the owner of this location, I would be mortified at the lack of concern for quality and customer service. Experience: 1) We ordered a large 3 topping pizza but were informed it would be over an hour wait before delivery. 2) We decided to pick up our order and were surprised to find all signage and canopy lights were out. Were concerned it was even open. When employee was informed of the lack of lighting, we got a "shrug". 3) Picked up pizza and brought home. Was burnt on one side (very black) and all toppings way overcooked making entire pizza tough and brittle. Very disappointed at spending over $16 and could not eat. Had family visiting - so Papa John's lost 2 families from ever ordering from them again.
I ordered a pizza due to advertisement. I ordered a Shaq (it's an extra Large) pizza with a lot of pepperoni to the edges and extra cheese. It wasn't what I received. Pepperoni was to edges but I was lucky to get 3 slices of pepperoni to a slice. Looking at pizza you would have said where's the meat. As for extra cheese, well it looked like there was hardly any cheese on it. The dough was protruding from under the cheese. I love pepperoni and is why I ordered it. Was very surprised when I opened the box. I love Papa Johns but it will be my last order from them.
I used to order here often until the last two times it has been awful. They can’t even use enough cheese to cover the sauce. An extra large pizza came as a medium with 4 inches of room in the box on each side. I’ll be going elsewhere from now on.
Placed online order at 4:08 and by 5:10 still no order delivery. Will never order from Papa John's again! Called and got hung up on. Had to call back to speak with manager to demand cancellation and refund.
05/22/2020 early afternoon My Papa John's order when it finally delivered was disappointing at best. The extra large pizza I received was not what I had ordered. Not just some but ALL of the products I ordered was barley warm, very disappointing. I called the store here in Crawfordsville IN to find our what was going on. Because when I placed my $50:00 order the delivery time was posted on the website as being between “30-41 minutes" so that is what I was expecting. But the managers said it would be hour! It took at least an hour or more before the delivery driver pulled into my driveway! And to my surprise the driver was not wearing a face mask or protective gloves.
It appears Papa Johns cares less about the health and safety of the delivery staff and the potential spread of the COVID-19 virus. And causes me to be concerned with how just how clean and safe the food preparation area is and how they are protecting the food preparation employees and the public from the potential spread of the COVID-19 virus here at this store in Crawfordsville IN. I tried to call the store here in Crawfordsville, IN to review my issue and concerns with the on duty manager but was placed on eternal hold. So I gave up and decided to post my experience instead. It is my opinion If you want hot pizza or other products prepped the way you ordered them and delivered on time by delivery staff who are taking proper protective measures to protect YOU, you should shop elsewhere I’m sad to say. I strongly support shopping at local businesses but not when operated like this Papa Johns! Very disappointing experience.
I tried to order a pizza on the website but it wasn't working. I called the Papa John's on Curry Ford and Goldenrod rd. and tried to order by phone. The guy taking my order didn't know how to get my rewards added to my account so he didn't take my order and hung up. I called back and asked to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor was the franchise owner. He was so rude from the beginning. I told him that the guy hung up on me and he actually said "so". Then he said he could take my order. I decided to go ahead and order.
I asked to add extra garlic sauce. I said I know it includes one but I wanted 2 extra (I know there's a charge for the extra). The guy went off on me saying, "We don't put one free garlic sauce anymore." He was so mean to me I decided not to order the pizza. My mom really wanted pizza so I called a different location. They were so nice, night and day difference. AND there was a free garlic sauce. I asked manager if it was true they stopped giving one free and she said no. They always give one free.
Lenoir City, Tennessee beach- What a horrific store and store manager. Order was placed at 5:45 and we were told to expect the delivery by 6:30. At 7:00 we called the store (my husband was hung up on 3 times) to check the status and was told they didn't have any orders from us. However, my credit card was charged 29.67. Yes , I have the proof. Now, I had to drive to this location to try to get my money back which they refused. They asked me to pay for more pizza. I ended up calling corporate offices to try to get my money back. So 2 hours later, no money and no pizza.
Grayson the manager never even apologized (well she did after I told her she had never even bothered to). She just wanted more money for them to make the pizza. Now, I have the proof of charges on my credit which she didn't care about. She simply rolled her eyes and acted indignant. As of now, I'm told corporate will refund but that may take 48 hours. So we are 29.00 out and no food. Worst customer service I've experienced in years.
I was home and had a taste for wings. I looked up Papa John's and ordered 20 or so via the website. All was well. It eventually came and as I'm putting a wing to my mouth, there's a hair in my food. I quickly call the restaurant. I spoke to whoever answered first then the manager. Both assured me that the hair could not have come from their store. I tried to explain how there was no other way for it to get on my food. The manager offered to make more wings which I declined because really who would want to eat there after that. He then offers a meager 30% off my meal and 50% of my next meal. I told them I would never eat there again for many reasons. I thought the customer was always right? Not here.
Almost 3 weeks have gone by and still no news on my small refund. No updates. Nothing. They lost my business and I spread the word to all my social media friends. This is not how you run a company or treat your patrons. To even call me a liar in so many words was appalling. The sad thing about it is this, I didn't even want To order from them. It was just on a whim. I haven't had their food on well over 10 years, now I see why. Awful awful place. Did I mention I'm still waiting on a 30% refund. Ha. Chipotle gave me a full refund on a mistake I made within 72 hours. What a joke papa John's is. No thanks. Never again.
Went to Papa John's to pick up my order. 2 out of 3 workers were not wearing mask. The one packing the orders did not wear a mask and was rapping while packing the food. EVERYONE in the area is wearing mask and gloves (I'm from Elmhurst, Queens), why are the people handling our food not?! Was so worried about my food I threw the order out. I called corporate to raise my concern. No one has gotten back to me. Papa john's use to be my favorite pizza spot but I will not be ordering from them anymore.
Ordered a Pizza at 7:36 PM on a Mon. for a friend who had surgery. They stated delivery time was 37-47 min. When the app (wh/ gives delivery update times) said the pizza "Was 7 min to delivery time" I updated my friend (who has 3 kids). To make a long story short, it was still well over 30 minutes out & the pizza was delivered over 1 1/2 hrs. after I ordered it. When I placed the ordered I left a 20% tip on it (wanting to support everyone during this pandemic time). I called the manager at the store #310, 6600 E INDEPENDENCE BLVD CHARLOTTE, NC 28212-7256. He was EXTREMELY RUDE & refused 3 times to give me his name. I then went online to file a complaint which took over 2 hrs. to do b/c you have to have the # on the pizza box to file the complaint & I wasn't going to involve my friend in this debacle.
He said he’d been to 3 houses prior and no one tipped him." I tried to support this company & gave them adequate time to reach out to me, but have yet to hear from them. Again, so very disappointed!
My fiancé visited this location around 9:45pm to place an order. He was told that the location wasn't accepting any more walk-in orders. I then went online to place a order for delivery to my home. The order was placed and I received a email confirming my order. When I went to Track my order the pizza was being prepared, from then it moved to OUT FOR DELIVERY, once I checked again it said that the order was cancelled, THIS WAS AROUND 11:10PM. I didn't receive any calls to say that they wouldn't be coming or anything!! Keep in mind we waited all night for this Pizza. Sooo, WHAT WAS WE TO EAT AFTER 11PM AT NIGHT???? I am FURIOUS!!!
To add to the poor customer service before the drive to retrieve the Pizza on last night we called to order and no one answered before they closed. You think that I'm done with the complaint?! Absolutely NOT because as I send this complaint to you guys I am on hold trying to speak with a Manager. I could be trying to order a Pizza but they don't know because they never asked how they could help me. If your Company is in the Business of making money you should definitely look into In servicing and or replacing your Team.
Never again will I order from this establishment or from any of them for that matter. Very unprofessional staff and no customer service. Wanted to place an order for a large catering event and couldn't even get anyone on the phone. When they finally answered left me on hold for 15 mins. I hung up and called back and was placed on hold yet again. When I asked the rep what is the issue or and ETA on hold time he couldn't even tell me. Your employees make or break a business. Not wasting my money and time on overpriced pizza and lack of customer service. Too many better other options out there now for this type of service.
Well my mother ordered (2) of the new papadia with mushrooms ???? Onions ???? And peppers ???? She told me how great and good they were. I thought today I order me one but when I called they stated staff/and mgr that the system won't allow the mushrooms unless I take off something but I'm upset cause here the other staff whomever put mushrooms on it I just wanted to taste the new item and have it the same way my mother had her’s so how is it she ordered 2 (delivered) with all the above items and today I'm not able. Disappointed. After working 12 hrs thought about the item alll day. Thought I bring it for lunch on Sunday being that I'm working another 12 hrs and was not able to get one. Ughhh upset.
Before I couldn't hardly stop eating a Papa John's pizza because it was so good.. Tonight I had a hard time eating one piece.. It's def lost the good flavor (even the onions didnt seem the same). I used to love dipping the crust in the garlic butter but the crust doesnt even taste the same.. Not even sure the garlic butter tasted the same.. The last couple pizzas from here are the last ones I ever order.. Miss the distinct taste their pizzas used to have.. Gonna throw out the rest. Thumbs down..
First, I want to review the product, not this specific location the 3 stars is for the location. I tried two of the four possible new Papa John's papadias. These new products are mediocre at best. This new product as you can see from the photos posted are very light on the sauce, therefore, making them very dry. You may also notice they're light on cheese and topping as well. This new rollout is $6 each, most definitely not worth the cost. Papa Johns doesn't have the $5 menu like other pizza chains currently do. If they did it would maybe be worth the $5 from that type of menu. Second, taste, In my opinion, if this product had more sauce it would improve the papadia dramatically. The papadias taste like a pizza with no sauce (yes I know it actually is a small pizza folded in half). It's MEH. So my conclusion to this product is average, nothing special and definitely not worth the price.
I brought a pie with Papa John’s using the reward points. The food delivered was in poor quality (No-to less topping). When brought attention to the store about the poor quality of the pizza, they argued to prove the food is in good quality and comment the order was free and what was big deals if the quality is low.
Papa John’s pizza is our favorite pizza. Perfect seasoning in the sauce, just enough crust and we can always count on their delivery time. Papa John’s is the best pizza in town. We have been ordering pizza every month for over four years. Sensei Scott from Golden Tiger Karate. We love Papa John’s pizza!
The pizza is great. However, my fiance is allergic to tomatoes, tragic i know. When we try to order "no sauce" there are two options on the website.. 1) you have to pick a sauce. 2) you have to pick if you want no sauce after that. I believe this is confusing to your workers. The option to have sauce or no sauce should be presented first, rather than forcing your customers to choose a sauce first, then choosing "no sauce" second. Please review your online ordering steps, as there are some flaws that need to be corrected.
Ordered pizza by phone on 1-13-20 at approximately 5:40. Store address, pizza and price verified twice. When I arrived at Draper store I was told, "You did not place an order." I showed what I believe was the shift supervisor my cell phone record of the call and repeated that I had placed an order and perhaps they misplaced it. Reply, "No sir, you did not place an order." She added that "We don't not want you as a customer...you came in with an attitude." My response, "I came into the store to pick up a pizza." She then walked away, mumbling under her breath. I understand that mistakes can certainly be made, we all do it all the time. This situation could have easily been resolved with a simple, "I'm sorry, we can's seem to find the order...we will get right on it." Instead it escalated into accusations, insults and complete lack of common courtesy.
My experiences with Papa Johns has always been exceptional. Rather ordering in the store in person are over the phone and online as well. I'm just a little uncomfortable with dining in so to even have the option of delivery is good. The team most have outstanding training never rude or unorganized. If a mistake is made with your order they are quick to correct the mistakes. My food is always the perfect temperature and the time is usually extremely quick to receive your order and if you join the rewards program you can receive free food. This has kept me from not having food to eat on many occasions. I am a satisfied customer. The staff is well trained and courteous and the food is good.
The new parmesan crust pizza is the worst ever. Papa John's has gone so down hill over the years. I remember when they started. The pizza was excellent. Over ten years now they have not redeem themselves. I thought would try this new pizza. Just terrible. Go buy any frozen pizza and you will be much happier. It's a shame that when a business starts how good they are, and then they go big time and short cut everything. Just sell dog food and get it over with.
This business should be ashamed of their product. Even Little Caesars blows them away and that's a shame. I don't even understand why a person would work for a company like this, this is just theft. You say you sell good pizza, what a big fat lie. This is not pizza. No flavors except what you don't want to taste. I can't even explain the nasty flavors. I don't know what it is, but it's not pizza cheese or toppings they claim to be. It all taste like puke would be the closest I could compare. Please just close your doors and stop robbing people.
I got two medium pizzas from Papa Johns for New Year's Eve. One was a Hawaiian. The other was pepperoni and sausage. My entire family thought the pizza was bland tasting with too much crust. The crust doesn't taste bad. It's just that there's too much of it. I will not order from Papa Johns again. I don't understand why they are still in business when there are much better pizza places out there.
The manager of Papa John's on Colony Road who worked tonight was wonderful. He provided excellent service. He recommended pizza and pricing options to us while simultaneously offering friendship and financial advice. He helped my friends and I remain calm in a stressful moment and was very respectful when speaking with us. 11/10 a great experience. We will order again in coming events!
*** I wish I could select less then one star. *** I have been ordering from Papa John's for quite a few years but after this experience it will be my last. I placed an order for several sandwiches and their new garlic Parmesan Crust pizza. Everything was delivered on time and the sandwiches were good. However the Garlic Parmesan Crust Pizza was not... After opening the box I immediately noticed a very strong strange smell (not like garlic, more like something old or expired). Since it was the first time ordering this My Son and I tried it anyway. Turns out it tasted worse than the smell. Something was obviously wrong with it and my Son and I spit out the bites we took. I called Papa John's and gave the details to the customer service person. I was told it would take 48 hours before I would hear back. I never received an email or a call from anyone.
After a week of waiting I called back asking why I was never contacted. I was told someone tried to call me, but I never received a call or a voice mail or anything. Even after the second call I never received any communication from anyone (it's been over a month now). I'm completely finished with Papa John's and will never place another order with this non-existing customer service company again.
I had a horrible experience with this store tonight. My food did not come to me as I ordered it and the manager continuously argued with me when I called in. As a customer who orders every week from this store I couldn't be more displeased. The manager was rude and insisted that it was my fault my food was incorrect, and wanted me to pay to replace it! I called customer service and complained. I honestly feel like going up there and shoving my pizza in his face! I won't ever order from this place again. You guys just lost $40. To $60.00 of our hard earned money that we pay weekly! I hope Cameron or whoever it was I spoke to gets fired!
We normally like Papa John's Pizza Thor. Very very very disappointed when we ordered a pizza from them yesterday. The pizza looked to be several days old. The cheese appeared to be fake because it didn't even melt. You couldn't bite through the crust. It was so stale and it was hands-down the most disgusting Pizza we've ever had. Very disappointed in Papa John's. Will never order another pizza or go to Papa John's again.
The crust use to be so plump & soft, the pizza use to taste much better & you actually got nice size pieces..Now it's trash! 3 medium trio for $26 & they all have very little crust & pizza itself is small slices....which isn't even sliced properly...I started asking for my pizza not to be cut & they do it anyway but I have to go right behind them & do it myself instead of enjoying hot slices, it's warm after I finish cutting all the slices for everyone..I rather eat Little Caesars. They have upgraded their pizza while Papa John's is getting worse!
Papa John's Pizza use to be good for the price and quality. Now it's not. It's gotten worst and continuing to go downhill. Ever since the founder left and has no shareholder sticky to change it back. I'm in the market for a pizza place. After several years of loyalty it has to come to this. Service has gone down, quality down. Reward program a joke. But price goes up for food and delivery fees. So long Papa John's.
If anyone says otherwise on the wings they do have any right to even leave a review for wings. The wings looks and have a texture like a wing that has been boiled and sauced. The texture is not good and feels like eating a rubber band that has been soaked in pickle juice and is trying to come up with flavor any way it can. Holly crap this is possibly the worst wing I have every had and will never order from here. Until I forget why I hated it so much years from now like 10 years and then order it again and leave a sky rim message in the future that says in people's eyeballs why not to eat this wing because gender is so retarded that we have forgotten the everything we know about society in America and China now rules us because we are retards. Thank you.
I love Papa Johns Pizza but if something goes wrong they do little to nothing to fix it or credit you for a very late and Cold Pizza. My past two orders from the Papa Johns in Cockeysville, Md 21030 were about an hour and 15 minutes before arriving. I called the store and was told I would receive a credit on some Chicken poppers I ordered that were not what I ordered. No credit yet. I got an email from Duram at Papa Johns, Papajohnsfeedback.com. Called a couple of times and I've heard nothing. Good Pizza but not very good customer service! Got my last order from Domino's!
This franchise in Richmond Hill Georgia isn't Customer oriented. I had a pizza delivered and it arrived cold. I called the store and was told my next pizza is free. I called the store for my free pizza yesterday and was informed that there is a $4.75 delivery charge. I told him that I already paid that the first time and didn't think I should have to pay again since they messed up. I was told that I could pick it up or pay for delivery. It's the principal of the thing. It's not free if you have to pay for anything.
Danielle is wonderful GM in Knightdale NC. I had made an order and waited over 2 hours for my pizza. I called to find out the young lady who place my order logged in a incorrect phone number and could not find my apartment. I was livid. No apology or sincerity in the young lady’s voice so I asked to speak to the manager. The GM Danielle listened to me and calmly rectified the situation by going above and beyond and I will continue to order at this location because of her.
I ordered pizza and garlic wings and two sodas. Order cost 31.00. The delivery driver kept driving towards my home and back to the main entrance 4 times. You would think that stupid pizza driver would of called me within 5 to 10 minutes asking me which mobile home is it. The pizza was missing toppings. The pizza and wings was cold. The driver was rude. The manager who took my order over the phone was rude and when I explained to her about the ** cold food and lousy service the manager refused to refund my money. I am highly dissatisfied. And disgusted. I will not ever order from Papa John's location on Sarno and Wickham Melbourne FL. I want a refund for ** service and missing pizza toppings and cold pizza and wings.
I order a pizza and I drive by the door and send my son to get the pizza. Southernly comes a dog barking and running towards him. Dog's owner or the manager of the store don't do nothing. They just laugh. She even says, "Why didn't you go get the pizza instead of your son?" The point was there is a dog outside the door shouldn't be there is unleashed and she gets mad at me instead of asking the dog owner to take care of his dog. Papa John at Ellenton (common sense not everyone is use to dog's). The same way she ask me why you didn't get the pizza she should ask the dog owner to leash the pet.
Order pizza online and received it and it was burnt. Called back 9:53pm talk to manager and he said, "Want money back." I said, "No would like order remade" and he said ok. I said, "Pick pizza backup so y'all can see." It waited 1:00hr no call or show so I called and he said, "Driver on way." They were shutting down and I said, "Ok great." No one have showed. It's almost 12am. My kids haven't eaten waiting on food and called no answer. So wrong.
Why is it when you call Papa John's you don't even get to speak to anybody in the store. They have some foreign people taking orders that don't know the specials or anything. I like Papa John's and when I'm on the road working I order there 4 or 5 times a week but if I can't talk to somebody that is the store I will stop ordering. Papa John's doing this was a big mistake.
We are incredibly disappointed in the poor customer service tonight. We called to place an order for two medium pizzas, after placing the order got put on hold for 10 minutes without anyone checking in while we waited to give our credit card information so we couldn't even finish the order. When the staff member finally returned she was so brief we ended up saying we'd just pay cash and before we could get her to tell us what time to expect our food she hung up.
I called back to find out a time so that we could tell our hungry kids when to expect their dinner and asked if they were very busy and explained (to the manager) that we had been on hold for 10 minutes. No apology, no acknowledgment of this being inappropriate she simply attributed it to being busy. After repeatedly confirming that one of the pizzas was to be without sauce the pizzas arrived and that pizza had sauce. I called in attempt to set this straight as it was clearly not made correctly... The phone literally rang for 3 minutes and no one ever answered. NOT PLEASED.
On vacation ordered delivery, received wrong pizza, called the store and politely spoke with asst manager and asked to have correct pizza delivered. She proceeded to yell at me and then hung up on me. Yes hung up on me. Never received correct pizza, sent several emails to corporate and no one cared enough to respond. Finally emailed local store manager and was told he would give me free pizza at his location only which is 5 hours from my home. So I figure if management could care less about a manager yelling at a customer and hanging up on customer I would never order from them again!!!!
0 stars. THIS PLACE HAS RACIST WORKERS. I make an online order and go in to pick up. This chubby ** American lady took forever to help me out because she seemed to busy and the whole place seemed unorganized. First, she makes a mistake on my order and mistakes my order for another asian guy's order because we have similar last names. And then she promises me credit for the same thing I ordered and when I tried ordering today, some rude barely-speaking-english Latino, calls himself the manager, picks up and as I'm trying to explain to him he thinks about it and I tell him that the lady got mixed up with my order because we both have asian last names, **. I understand it looks alike BUT NO IT DOES NOT SOUND ALIKE AND IT IS NOT THE SAME YOU RACIST **.
As soon as he looks my information up and hears that he starts laughing and asks me what's wrong with my order. I told him 'I didn't order yet' and he says 'yes but what's wrong with your order?' And by now I'm getting mad telling him I told him the whole situation and he asks the same question 7 more times as if he's frustrated with me with what I'm trying to tell him and as if I'm trying to get something free. And so now I'm angry and I don't get my promised compensated pizzas because the lady ** saying she was going to give me credit when she did not to save her own butt. And also this guy who calls himself the manager named 'Adan', (I don't even know if that's his real name cause he seemed so unprofessional and as if he did not have a care in the world.) continues to laugh after everything I had to say because I got upset at the fact that the lady didn't put my credit in after she made her dumb mistake.
What kind of customer service are they running here? It's a ** show with a bunch of clowns. This is absurd and will not be tolerated at any workplaces EXCEPT this Papa John's where they hire incompetent workers like these guy who can barely speak any English as a manager and a worker who can't even own up to her mistakes and can't do basic work. I will be contacting Papa John's and will be doing a follow up on the feedback form and will get my money back.
We did the online purchase from the Papa John's in Oldsmar, FL. My whole family has been vomiting smaller kids may have to go doctor. BE CAREFUL! How does this happen. I bag everything if a lab wants to inspect was of $33!
So extremely disappointing!!! WOW!! This pizza was inedible. We asked for a large light Alfredo sauce, with spinach and meatball and Chicago cut. What we got was a soup for a pizza. Instead of light sauce. There was so much sauce you couldn't taste the pizza. It had no spinach and literally 4 pieces of meatball. We called the manager and he basically said, "Too bad." We will never order from Papa John Store #4767 in Miramar, FL. Avoid this Papa John's like the plague. This was the worst pizza, worst drivers and worse customer service we have ever received and worse pizza ever eaten. Never again. NEVER!!!
Papa John's has centralized incoming calls. When you call a local store it no longer goes to the local store it goes to an office that takes your order, doesn't know the specials, or the menu, the wait time, and would have no way of knowing if that store is out of any one item. It's a fantastic step backwards in customer service. I originally tried to login into the website to provide some common sense feedback, but didn't remember the login details and didn't have the option to use my phone number to help identify the account. Trying to make a new account didn't work because the phone number is assigned to a different account. More customer service constipation.. Corporate Papa John's is out of touch with customer service and common sense.
Horrible flavorless meal. I know why they give you garlic butter. 3 pepperoni on an entire sausage pepperoni pizza. 8 bread sticks and only 1 simulated cheese sauce and 1 garlic butter. 3 dips and the cheese sauce was gone. Cheese bread, flavorless. Liberals running this once great company. What a shame. Keep voting for the dems and all of America will be flavorless. Just NASTY food. Neeeeeeeeever again. Tony's frozen pizza is 10x better!
My brother and I arrived at the Papa John's store #3635 at 324 S. Illinois Ave. Oak Ridge, TN 37830 on May 31, 2019 at 10:24 pm. We were told by the woman working at the store that we could only order a pizza by calling it at that time. At 10:35 pm, I called 865-483-3232 from my cell phone ** and ordered 2 large pizzas (see phone records for verification). The woman at the store hung up. At 10:57pm, I knocked on the door of the store inquiring about the pizzas. The woman told me she did not make them and muttered some excuse that someone told her "nevermind" and falsely implied I had said that. It's one thing that Papa John's employees refuse to make pizzas for paying customers, but it's quite another its employees are dishonest about their breach of service.
On a number of occasions, the restaurant on New Hallsferry Road in ST Louis MO has taken my online order and never delivered the food. This last time today was the last straw for me. Sitting at home with my kids and my nieces awaiting our delivery. Time goes past and no food. Finally I call the restaurant and the manager told me he has no drivers to deliver. Told me he would have called but they use Charter phone and there is a problem with his phones and he can not call out. I asked if I could just come pick it up. He told me no since he had already cancelled the order. This has happened many times before from this same location. They always take online orders but rarely seem to have drivers. Meanwhile you have to wait 3-5 days for your money to be made available for you to use. They need to really re-evaluate the way they do online business as they have finally lost a long time customer.
I order a pizza in Sunny Isles Papa John's and after 55 min I get a call from a Driver Marisol telling me that I have to go downstairs because she have a parking spot and I told her that it's plenty of space for deliveries for a few minutes with no problem plus I paid.. $4 + $3 dollars with delivery charge and tips to my door and I had a surgery!!! She started arguing with me that she don't get any money from delivery charge and she don't care if I call her manager! So I call the manager and explain to him what is going on, that she not want to deliver to my door even when they have place to park temporarily! Guess what? His answer was only "I'm sorry!".. and he didn't offer any solution! Unbelievable. Last time I order from this Papa John's store, I get somebody else order instead of mine! And the same Manager act like I'm sorry and they did not offer any solution! Terrible service and no Pizza and I now have to wait some days to get my money back!
I had an experience with Papa John's on last night because it was short staff and I waited a little extra time for my pizza to be delivered. To make a long story short, my guest left and wasn't able to have pizza. But I called back this morning and they took care of me and I am very satisfied. This is a very awesome established and the manager is very awesome as well. Can't remember her name but she worked at 2 p.m. on this Saturday Memorial Day weekend. I know one thing, they put a smile on my face. Thank you so much Papa John's.
One pizza for $27.00. It was a buffalo chicken pizza with only a few pieces of chicken. It was way overpriced for what it was. We called the store and they just argued. Obviously couldn't care less about quality.
Ordered pizza online, I don't eat cheese so I skipped the cheese selection. Went straight to veggies. Apparently if you skip the cheese and don't specify no cheese they just guess what you want even though they have your phone number. I called, was put on hold for 15 minutes and then got hung up on. The second time I called they told me it was my fault and too bad.
Customer service is very hateful. The quality is the worst here in the West End. They rip you off in extra charges and no order is made correctly or delivered while it’s warm and the people running the store hang up on customers. If you're wanting pizza avoid this terrible establishment. You would get better quality everything from dog food! I only have issues with the West End location being so distasteful about every aspect of the quality and the people and way they run this business. They put a bad name to the company Papa John's name.
Papa John's in Hazel Green, Alabama use to have really good pizza and we ordered it a lot but this has changed. We've gotten mixed up orders, cold pizza with the crust not cooked that is doughy, crust burnt and literally black in places, chicken burned, garlic cheese bread sticks that are swimming in butter that literally runs off into the box when lifted and rarely do they bring the right condiments that we ordered. We are tired of getting a free pizza when all we want is what we paid for. Looking for another pizza place. Many frozen pizzas or supermarket deli pizzas are better than this.
April 24, 2019 at 10:25AM I was walking across a driveway from the Papa John’s strip center on Waddell Rd. in Surprise, Az 85388. After crossing nearly complete, the Papa John’s delivery driver started to take off and hit me. I flew onto his hood, and fell to drive side of car. As I stood up, he took off. It took a while for me to get moving again (74+yrs old). At 11:00AM I walked into Papa John's store and talked to manager about the incident. The store manager defended his driver, and did not even apologize to me for his driver hitting me. At 2:00PM same day, I contacted Papa John's Corporate form and repeated much of this. I am still waiting to hear back from anyone. PAPA JOHN’S HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED.
Honestly, this is the worst pizza I’ve ever tasted. It was like biting into a gallon of sugar. The sauce was sickeningly sweet, drowning out everything else. The chicken tasted like it had been refrigerated and not heated through. But the sauce...I threw the entire pizza in the trash. Never again.
Someone who identified himself as, “the boss”, told me despite the fact that I’ve ordered from them regularly for 2 years, that they don’t deliver to my address. When I questioned this the “boss” proceeded to tell me, “FINE, CALL PIZZA HUT!” There must be new management because I’ve never had any problems with them until now. I don’t give money to rude people. Won’t ever deal with them again.
I ordered cheesy bread 2/21/19. Was delivered to my home. My 7 year old ate and she started pulling a string like substance out her mouth. I have yet to get a return call about the incident. They said its a franchise store and they can't make him call me.
We ordered pizza at 12:04 pm. It arrived at 12:56. Their Email for confirmation stated it would arrive in 25 to 35 minutes. Since the pizza was cold we think it was done but sat in the store waiting for a driver. After 40 minutes I had to call the store to confirm my order.
Ordered a standard pizza from our local Papa John's restaurant as a carryout. The quality and the flavor of the pizza is no longer what it was in the past. The bottom was burnt. There was a puddle of some type of oil puddled on the top. The quality has disappeared with the original owner. This has been our favorite go-to pizza place for several years. So sad. I won't be back.
This is absolutely terrible pizza. No flavor in any of the 3 pizzas I tried. I even tried the "new" "zesty Italian trio." Not even the banana peppers had any flavor. The texture of the crust suggested a comparison to box the pizza came in (no I didn't try eating the box, although I suspect it wouldn't be any different than the the pizza).
I have ordered from Papa John's so many times and even with their pizza tracker the pizza is NEVER ON TIME. I mean NEVER. When I go back to Missouri and order Pizza Hut I have never had a problem and I have ordered from them at least 70 times. Papa John's is also MUCH more expensive than other pizza delivery services. Also the food never comes warm, the delivery drivers are rude...
They have poor customer service. Manager is very rude. They never brought me a new pizza. Waited for over an hour and a half and they kept saying it was on it way and never showed up. Manager wouldn't give me my money back. He said I could have store credit and I told him I would not be ordering pizza. Never again from them. I just wanted my money back and I even told him he can have the pizza back that I was not able to eat it because it was not good. It looked and tasted like it's been sitting for a while. I even took a picture of it. This is not the first time this has happened but I just let it go. Location 83rd Ave and Camelback Phoenix AZ.
I ordered a pizza for me and my kids from East Rutherford, NJ. We stayed sick in bed for 2 days after. When I sent an email to their customer service and made a phone call they apologized and they promised me that the branch will call 'em back which never has happened. I have been Papa John's client for years but I will never ever try this pizza with rotten ingredients.
I am a regular customer at the Papa John’s on Ramsey St, in FAYETTEVILLE, NC. I went in to pick up an order and the Shift Leader standing at the register, taking money, handing the pizza to customers with a large comb hanging in his beard. After he handed me the pizza he began combing his beard. I was disgusted. I took a photograph. I called the corporate office four times. Finally after three weeks the general manager of the store called, said “my district manager just told me about this, I apologize.” I forwarded her the photo, she identified the fellow as her shift leader. So...that’s it! After all that... An apology. What did I expect? I’m not sure. Maybe a refund for that day? Something may have been nice.
Terrible customer service by the manager on Argonne in Spokane Valley. So rude, not understanding or compassionate whatsoever... inconsiderate **. Please fire the temporary manager. I work with DoorDash and they got an order wrong. The pizza I thought was right and it wasn’t. I spent an hour and a half driving 20 mins to deliver it. 20 mins to bring it back and 20 mins driving back to the customer and 30 mins driving home. I made $9. The manager said it was all my fault I didn’t double check the order. He didn’t say sorry. They wouldn’t offer to drive the customer a new delivery. They said rude things to me as I left to deliver the second order and said he will never let me DoorDash for them again. Ruined my night and I had a panic attack because I felt so bad and he was extremely rude. Never order from Papa John's. Not to mention they had 15 workers and no customers waiting and none of them could do their damn job.
I was disgusted for customers and the infant when I found out that my former employer (Emma ** aka Yami - first fired from Dominos, then fired from Pizza Hut so at Papa John's now) was allowing employees to bring infants to sit in the store for hours at a time. Basically turning it into a daycare center. Diaper changing simply doesn't belong close to food preparation areas. I really hope the health department responds to my queries soon. After I let the corporate office know, my former employer threatened me. Papa John's has yet to contact me. So I have to cause as much of a stink to make sure this practice ends.
I ordered a pizza to be delivered. The driver called to tell me he was on the way instead of just telling me when he was here. I called the manager to tell him how rude his driver spoke to me on the phone. And, he was rude and cutting me off. I just experienced very terrible customer service. And, as a former employee of this place I’m highly disappointed.
Papa John's 6615 Atlanta Hwy, Montgomery, Al - I ordered the MVP with (2) 2-liter sodas. When the driver arrived he had (1) 2-liter soda and the pizzas. He stated he forgot the other soda and asked if I wanted a credit for it or if I wanted him to bring it back. I asked him to bring it back which he agreed to do. I called the store because it was an hour later and still no soda. I spoke to the manager Tiffany who blamed the driver then offered me a store credit on a pizza and 2 liter soda that I paid to have today not later on my next order...I MEAN REALLY!! THERE WON'T BE A NEXT ORDER!! This isn't the first time this has happened but it's definitely the last.
I have ordered from Hurricane, WV store several time. I always order garlic sauce with my pizza. I pay extra for the sauce. NEVER have they gotten my order correct and get the garlic sauce. Call manager Alan and he blamed the driver. Didn't really care if order was correct.
Got great customer service and excited for my first pizza with them... But the pizza was bland. Hardly any flavor. Get a better pizza at a way better price at 711. I even can add extra toppings to a meat lover’s pizza with no charge. And that's under $7. Get real Papa John's... Your pizza is bad. Thanks anyway. I'll never go back.
My family and I were recently in Key West celebrating the new year. We decided on pizza and ended up at Papa John's. The girl behind the counter who was short, had braces and looked to be in her early 20's couldn't put her phone down long enough to even acknowledge our existence. She was extremely rude, especially to my wife and elderly mother-in-law. The pizza was greasy and terrible and no one in our party could finish a single slice. If this is a franchise, the owner needs to seriously reevaluate the caliber of their employees. I own a bed and breakfast in Chicago and I would never have an employee like this! My wife also noticed she had a bluish substance around one of her nostrils.
I will be telling anyone who is going to Key West in the future, do NOT visit the Papa John's restaurant. Disgusting, horrible service! If you have a bad attitude and poor customer service, don't work in the tourism industry. We would have had better luck asking a homeless person to dig us food out of the garbage can. The service and quality would have been a lot better. What a waste of money. I'm extremely dissatisfied, especially considering the rest of the workers we encountered in Key West were absolutely fantastic! This particular girl needs a job where she doesn't talk to anyone or engage with customers face-to-face. If the owner intends on the continued operation of their business, they'd do well to replace this employee immediately.
I ordered a cheeseburger pizza. One slice had a large piece of plastic that was broke off of something embedded in the cheese. I called the store and the person that claimed to be the manager was a smart *** and after I told him the problem he said that that store did not deliver to my address. I was certain that it had come from there. Later in the day I was very sick after eating 2 pieces. I was vomiting and had diarrhea. I will NEVER order food from any Papa John's again! The experience was bad enough but then to be lied to just to get out of doing anything about it!
It took an hour and 40 minutes to get my pizza. When I finally got it, it was cold. When I called the ** manager, I had to yell at him to get him to comp the pizza. At first, he was a real smart ** and acted like nothing was wrong with it taking 100 minutes to get a pizza. I told him never again and you are about to lose a customer of many years. Then, after my suggestion, he agrees to comp the pizza. I gave the delivery girl a nice tip as it was not her fault. This this the third time in a row I have gotten a slow ** cold pizza. If you want to order pizza, I recommend that you go somewhere else.
My order came out to $40 and some change and the guy who took my order put pick up instead of delivery like I said. So hours went by and they said he made that mistake. It'll take an hour to deliver it so I said, "Nevermind I want my money back on my card." I talked to the lady and she said it would take a few days to get back on the card. A week and half goes by it's still not on my card so I called them back and they said they already voided it to go talk about it with my bank. Which by the way the card I used isn't even a bank card.
I just called them back today 3 weeks and my money STILL isn't back and the manager I talked to was rude and didn't help at all. He said he couldn't do anything about it. I told him I either want my $40 back or the food and he still said he wasn't going to do anything about it and to go talk to the card company. I've always been a regular customer to this same Papa John's and I've even had other small issues with them but this time is ridiculous that now I'm out of $40 and the customer service is horrible. I'm so pissed about this.
Called three times. No answer. Walked in the employee who greeted me walked out for the night leaving 2 employees to attend on peak hours, supervisor never greeted me instead decided to answer an incoming call leaving me there looking like a fool. Mesa Az Brown road and Mesa Drive.
I ordered a pizza last week to be delivered. I told the one on the phone I wanted the pizza delivered. Even give her my address. A hour later no pizza so I called them back and she told me my pizza was waiting for pickup. I told her, "No I wanted it delivered." The exact words out of her mouth was, "It will take another 45 minutes and an extra delivery fee." I said just cancel the order. As today's date I called the corporate office and all I get is a runaround. They keep telling me somebody will call me back in 48 hours which never has happened.
Imagine just getting home from McDonald's or Wendy's (or whatever) and pulling your double cheeseburger from the bag. You take a bite and find that between the buns are a few pickle and tomato slices... but no burger! Your reaction will be the same if you order Papa John's Double Cheeseburger pizza. The first thought coming to your mind will be, "Where's the beef?" Papa John's Double Cheeseburger is pathetically unsatisfying. Don't buy it! It is a waste of your hard-earned money.
I made a order at 12 midnight Saturday Night for Papa John's Pizza 199-22 Hollis Ave, Saint Albans branch and at 5:30 am I got notification it got cancelled. If that wasn't enough, I called them just now and asked why they didn't inform me, THE MANAGER some BANGALA guy I believe told me he didn't have any order and hung up on me. I called back again and said I want to speak with Manager, he said he is the manager and again hung up. THIS IS MISERABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Not acceptable. I would never recommend Papa John's to anyone now, you treat your customers like this. You will run out of business soon!
We had ordered 2 Pizzas from Papa John's and what a big mistake that was. We had seen on TV a new BBQ meats Pizza and it looked really good and we had some company over and they ordered a Pizza with Pepperoni and Extra Cheese. The order was about $35.00 with a $4.00 delivery fee. About 40 minutes later the delivery driver arrived and this guy had to weigh at least 400 pounds and was a walking mess. As he was taking the Pizzas out of the bag he passed very loud wind and did not excuse himself. I was shocked. Then he asked me, "Sir, I really have to go to the bathroom really bad and could I use your bathroom?" I said to him, "Fine, but please make it quick". He was in there about 5 minutes and came out and thanked me for letting him use the bathroom and he left.
I went over to my kitchen table and I opened the first box and I looked and I looked again and the bottom of one of the Pizza's was raw and not cooked at all then I opened the other box and there was barely any extra cheese or pepperoni and I was very upset over this. Everyone was hungry so I had to heat up my oven to heat and cook the Pizzas. While the Pizzas were in my oven cooking my wife yelled out from the other side of the house and she said, "Oh My God, you have to come see this now!" I said to her, "What is wrong?" She replied, "I can't put it into words and come to the bathroom".
I went into the bathroom and I looked down into the toilet and there was a large human fecal matter at least 3 feet long and sticking out of the water and it was left by the Papa John's delivery driver and he did not even flush it down. I did flush it but I was scared due to the size of it the toilet might overflow and run all over my bathroom floor but I got lucky and it went down in one flush. I was very angry over this due to the fact the Pizza's were not made the way we ordered them and I had to put them both in the over to heat and cook them and the delivery driver had done what he had done in our bathroom.
I called the store and demanded to speak to the manager and I was put on hold and finally he came on and I explained the situation to him and he replied to me, "Sir, that is impossible as all of our Pizza's are made to order with the highest of quality ingredients and I do not control the bowel movements of our drivers and I do not know what to tell you" and he hung up on me. We will never ever order from Papa John's ever again due to this episode we had encountered with them!
Every time I have ordered from Papa John's (Ilford Branch) I have been dissatisfied with every experience. The pizzas have arrived stone cold and pizzas have arrived extremely late. I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt and placed an order today at 18:11 online. Over an hour later the pizzas had not arrived so I called to find out what was going on and was told that the driver had a few deliveries to do and was on route. At 19:37 I received a phone call from the branch to tell me that the driver was waiting outside for 15 minutes and that he was calling my landline. I don't know where the driver was but he certainly wasn't wait outside my house and he certainly did not attempt to call the landline. He told me the driver was back at the branch and that he could send him out again with the pizzas.
At this point I was fuming as they were going to send the driver out with stone cold pizza and it had been almost 2 hours since the order had been placed. I was really disappointed so asked for them not to worry and give me back my money as I could've cooked my own food in the time that they took. And I was told that they were unable to give me a refund and that the only thing they could do was to send the driver out again to re-deliver. I was adamant that they delivered fresh hot pizzas and not ones that had been re-heated. What happens just after 8pm the pizzas arrive and guess what - they tasted like they had be re-heated and delivered again lukewarm. This is the last time I ever order from them. I am absolutely disgusted.
I ordered two pizzas from Papa John’s in Inglewood, Ca. I've been carrying out from here for years, but this is the first time I've ordered delivery. My order was supposed to take 20-30 mins. The driver called & asked us for directions. I have never had a driver call & ask for directions. Come on now. It's 2018, phones come with a GPS. Even after we gave directions, 20 mins go by with still no order. We don't even live 20 mins from Papa John’s. I spoke with someone there who says they always have problems with this driver & asked me to give him a few mins. I called back & another employee answered & was so unprofessional. I asked to cancel my order & he kept repeating the address & wouldn't put a manager on the phone.
I hung up & finally spoke with the first employee. I have never dealt with such foolishness. I've sat here for a hr waiting for pizza to feed my toddler who is now up past his bedtime & has school tomorrow, because I had to make him something after we've waited all this time for our pizza. While mistakes do happen, the second employee that I spoke with was childish & very unprofessional & we will not be ordering delivery from here again. If we even decide to even carry out. I'll stick Domino’s & Pizza Hut. Smfh. Luckily for them Consumer Affairs is nice because I'd give zero stars to these goofies.
My wife and I keep trying to order pizza from them because let's face it, their pizza is better than Domino's or Pizza Hut. BUT, with that said, we can never get our freaking pizza. We have put very detailed instructions on our order, each and every time we place it. It contains our address, our phone number, our code to the gate (we live at a gated apartment complex) and instructions on where our building is located within the complex, how to get there, what floor we are on, etc.
Yet each and every single time we order a pizza, they can't figure out how to deliver it to us. They never try the call box with the code we gave them, they don't bother to call us for instructions. They're CLEARLY not reading the instructions we left them or perhaps none of them know how to read. Whatever the case is, the story ends the same way every time: We have to call the store, ask why our pizza hasn't been delivered in an entire hour since we ordered it, then they proceed to BS us saying they couldn't reach us on the phone or get in our gate. We don't appreciate being lied to, and by the time we finally get our pizza is soggy and ice cold.
Do not order Papa John's folks. These guys don't care about complaints. I brought up a case where I went ordered pizza and they double charged me. I brought the issue up to the mgr at the store he wants to be rude and close the window and call the police. I told him I don't worry about police. I wait and made report these guys trying to cheat me and discrimination. So don't order Papa John's. They are bunch of rude people don't give a damn about customer service and I was one of their regular customers. My child grew up eating Papa John's. Not anymore.
I ordered pizza for delivery and when the driver got here and called. I asked to give me 2 mins to come down the elevator. Merely 1 minute later, as I am on my way down, he called yelling at me to hurry up. I checked my call history and it had not even been into a minute since his first call. I picked up and said I was on my way and hung up. He called right back. When I got down to get my pizza, I decided not to tip. Mind you, I was charged for delivery. The guy proceeded to cussing at me and using very vulgar words. I called/wrote Papa John's to report this incident and all they could do was offer me 40% off my next order. Despicable!
I wanted to say Thank You Papa John's for coming back to Hawkins TX again. You are the only good Pizza Place around, when you come to our town. We hope Y'all will continue to come back to Hawkins TX and one day open up a Papa John's here...
Papa John's on Saint Barbara’s rd - First off they were 2 hours late and then the driver refused to get out the car because he claimed he got robbed before. I explained to the driver and the store that I have kids in the house. I am not leaving the house. My kids are too important to leave and walk across the street. Anyone could be watching and come right in my house. What is the point of giving a delivery driver your door number when they refuse to do their job. I told the driver, "This is the position you chose to do and those are the consequences but being robbed are all material things that you can get back. My kids I can’t replace."
I placed an order. It was delivered incomplete. I then called the store only to speak with a rude manager who did not attempt to make things right. I feel no matter the cost when you place an order and pay money for what you want, at the very least you deserve adequate customer service. While where there are human hands there's bound to be error. The aftermath is what potentially could make a difference. I will never order Alliance, Ohio Papa John’s again.

I ordered 2 Pizzas from Papa John's in Exton, PA for a business luncheon. They were to be delivered within 45 minutes. It was delivered in 75 min and it was not what I ordered. I called and spoke with the same person that took my order. I told him it was not what I ordered. He replied that I got what I ordered. I again told him I did not. He again said that I got exactly what I ordered. I started to say that "you are an idiot if you don't listen to a customer". All I got out was "you are an idiot" and he cut me off and got very angry. He said "Oh you think I am an idiot then you are a stupid **." Use your imagination on that reply.
I could not believe what I thought I heard. So I asked "what did you just say to me?" To my utter shock he repeated himself with the same disgusting remark. I was mortified and told him that I would be filing a complaint with Papa John Corporate and anywhere else that I could. I filed the complaint and was told by the so called Customer Service Rep that he was shocked because "USUALLY" their employees don't talk to customers like that. Again I was floored and said "USUALLY" they don't or never, ever? He said he filed the complaint and I would hear back within 48 hours. Well it's been weeks and nothing. Until last week one of our employees ordered lunch and had a company shirt on.
The Manager asked him if he knew me. He replied "yes, she is one of our Directors." The Manager told him that there was an incident with one of his employees and he wanted to apologize. So he gave him 3 coupons to give to me. Needless to say I did not accept them as I will never go back even if it's FREE. My husband and daughter were both very upset at what the man said to their wife and mother. Totally unbelievable and more so unacceptable. What can I do to drive this home to Papa John management and employees? If you think I should pursue with an attorney or media I will gladly do so.
I tried to place a order over the phone and the person that picked up the phone was very rude. She started the conversation off with "It's a hour and a half on delivery and a 45 min wait on takeout, do you want to order or not"? I stated yes then I proceeded to ask her did they have a special and without hesitation she stated, "No!" I was like ok then she just hung up the phone. No sorry, thank you or anything. I understand they may be busy but there's a way to handle customers.
I ordered a garden pizza with extra cheese and it was nasty. First I didn't get the extra cheese They charge me for, it was swimming in tomato sauce. The dough wasn't done. It was raw. That's the nastiest pizza I ever ate. I put it in the oven to bake it some more but it's still nasty and the vegetables burn. I wasted my 20 dollars. It wasn't worth it.
Today is May 28, 2018. Today I ordered a gluten free pizza and barbecue chicken. Lets start with the pizza. When I was watching it being baked and box I thought that it would be hot. Well it was not. It was cold. I tried to warm it up but that made it worse. The taste was like nothing I have ever tasted. Bad and nasty. The toppings tasted old. Funny taste. Now the chicken. First it was the smell. It still smelled raw and the taste was the same. I tried to reheat and it had that raw taste to it. I just threw it all away. No!!! I do not have that kind of money to do that. I was mad and upset. I don't think I will ever order from them again. Please refund...nasty food. They did not leave a receipt.
So if you ever want to be called a ** in 2018 go to Papa John Pizza located 4213 Summer Ave. PLEASE SHARE!!! I was shocked and felt very violated that someone of a different color (**) in 2018 felted it was okay to call me such a name, this has not happened to me in 30 years or so. I did what big girls do and reported the incident to their Corporate office. And stated in the message, "Your employees is calling people **. Please contact me."
5 Days later... A call, the manager stated, "Well I know what the employee said happen, let's hear yours side. Okay?" I though... I proceeded to explain the incident and he begin telling me, "Well I have had this employee for 20 years and no incidents ever happened, no write up, nothing says he would act like this." As if I'm lying. I explain to him, "I work on avg. 75 hours weekly. For me to STOP what I am doing and walk into your store and then leave out and call your corp. wasn't because I had nothing else to do, it was because there is a problem there." This DM NEVER said, "I'm sorry on behalf of anything situation, employee, experience," nothing. But he did ask me about my employee's parking on his lot... Go figure. PAPA JOHN DOES NOT DESERVE OUR MONEY... PERIOD.
I purchased a pizza from Papa John's at 1650 Margaret St. # 307 restaurant #2883 Jacksonville Fl 32204. However I presented a coupon for $10 with five toppings and quantity two large pizza. It was hot with only and very little pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, and olives. No canadian bacon and green peppers! It was also sloppy when you pick one slice to eat besides the additives fell off the dough bread.
The ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE IN THE 57 years I have been breathing air! Okay so I never visited a Papa John's ever so this was my first and last time calling or stepping foot into a Papa John’s anywhere USA. I called the Papa John’s in Bismarck ND to order delivery on 03/30/2018 at 6:10 PM. My order was a simple medium, thin crust 5 ingredient pizza cut Chicago-style (squares) and a 16-piece bone in wings with a 2-liter of soda. I also confirmed with the person taking my order that the pizza and wings were to be well done and cut Chicago style at least 3 times and was assured without hesitation it would be done exactly to my request. Cost was $40.32 which I thought was very pricey but went with it anyway.
Now on this night there was a winter storm going on so I wasn't concerned with the time of delivery at first but that changed drastically as this story progresses. I was told 30-45 minutes for the delivery, no problem. I was fine with that and placed my order. At about 7:15 PM I called to check on my order as it had still not arrived and was told he was out with my delivery. I said, “Ok, thanks,” and ended the call. 20 minutes later (7:35) the guy arrived with my delivery and I was on the phone talking to Penske truck as I had just moved from Connecticut to Bismarck 1 week prior to this and needed to confirm a few details about the truck rental. I answered the door and indicated to the delivery guy that I was on the phone, took my food from him and handed him $45.00 cash and gave him a thumbs up and he left.
10 minutes later I finished my call with Penske and opened my pizza. I was appalled as the pizza was like a wet noodle (not cooked fully) when I picked a slice up (let alone well done). It wasn't cut in squares (Chicago style) and all the ingredients were in a tight circle around the center of the pizza leaving a 2-3 inch gap between the crust and ingredients around the entire pizza, not to mention very sparse ingredients at that and it was a hand tossed crust not a thin crust which was obvious. I then opened my 16 piece wings order and they also were not well done and after counting them discovered only 13 wings had been delivered. Okay so I'm a little perturbed at this point and call back and speak to a shift manager identified as "Jamie" and explained that they completely got my order wrong and requested they remake my entire order (after debating the issue with "Jamie") and he reluctantly agreed to do so.
So now it is 9:00 PM and still no delivery so I called back again and inquired as to where my food delivery was and was told they were extremely busy and he should be there shortly. Before I hung up the phone I see the driver pull up in my driveway and go out to meet him at the door. So he opens his hot bag and hands me a small pizza (not the medium I had ordered) and I told him this is supposed to be a medium pizza and asked where the wings were. The kid just shrugs and says, “This is what they gave me and I wasn't told to bring any wings.” So I then ask him to remain as I was going to call his manager and asked him to confirm that Jamie was a manager as he told me he was earlier and the driver would only say that "he is my boss" and stood silent while I called Papa John's.
So I get Jamie on the phone and ask why he sent me out a small pizza when it’s supposed to be a medium and didn't send any wings. Jamie states "I only agreed to remake the pizza not the wings" which was a flat-out lie. At this point I tell Jamie either remake my entire order and deliver it correctly or send a driver to my house with my cash refund in full. Jamie then states "I have made your pizza twice and I am not going to make a it a third time". He further states "I will send a driver back to your home with your cash refund". I then hand the driver at my door the first pizza and the 13 wings and open them so he can confirm on the phone the order has not been touched by me while his manager was on the phone and he confirms it with Jamie. It is now 9:30 PM by the time the driver leaves and I called a different place and ordered my food from there, received it and ate it without issue.
At 10:30 PM I call Jamie back at P... John’s and asked when my refund would be arriving as I was ready for bed. Jamie then states "I am not going to send you a refund, I called my manager and he told me to have you call him on Sunday (Easter Sunday) and talk to him". So I angrily end the call and go to bed. Now not only did he have no intention of calling me to inform me of this but his condescending ** clown attitude was also over the top. So the next day I call Papa John’s in Bismarck at 6:30 PM and ask to speak with Brian, the store manager and he gets on the phone. I politely introduced myself and asked him if Jamie had explained the issue to him. Brian then responded with an extremely sarcastic "UH HUH" and puts me on hold. He then picks up another phone (I'm guessing from his private office) and begins just verbally browbeating me nonstop and refuses to allow me to speak a single word let alone explain what had happened.
Then he makes the statement of this "you called my driver a filthy prairie **, what makes you think we are going to do a damned thing for you? We will not be refunding your money at all". This was all a complete made up lie as I have two brother-in-laws who are both ** and my last roommate in CT was also **. Needless to say I'm infuriated after hearing this and demand his corporate complaint information which he refused to provide me and stated "I am the district manager so don't waste your time lodging any further complaints as they will only come directly back to me and I will simply toss it in the garbage", and he then hangs up on me.
So I have to do a little online research but I finally get the number to Papa John's corporate HQ and file a complaint with the Corporate offices. Turns out he is not the district manager just the store GM and Corp HQ escalated the issue to the franchise owner and Brian's regional manager. My head is still spinning over this and now I wait for my refund until "They" investigate this whole issue. Please, everyone do yourself a huge favor and STAY AWAY FROM PAPA JOHN’S, most definitely the Bismarck ND store on N Washington Street.
Updated on 04/03/2018: Well, I gave this company ample opportunity to correct this and Papa John's corporate has decided to ignore my corporate complaint as has the local Papa John's here in Bismarck North Dakota. It's very sad when a restaurant employee is empowered to take advantage of their customers by making up lies to simply cover their ** for not doing their job. The worst part is the Corporate offices, regional, district and franchise owners are all on board with this disgusting display of a lack of integrity and morals by their employees and not care a lick enough to do anything about it. So now I have to decide if I want to take them to small claims court over $40.00. If I don't they will surely continue to inflict this appalling behavior onto other customers.
After I ordered a pizza from Papa John's Atlanta Hwy Athens GA #300 I started receiving fraudulent activities on my credit card. I called to ask questions regarding the procedures of credit card orders. When I asked the store # I was told 3 different numbers for that location then when I questioned why different #'s they hung up on me. I am very UNSATISFIED with the customer service & sanitary practice at this location. I will not order again & will inform all of my service. I made police report for the fraudulent activities & once we track the IP ADDRESS there will charges filed.
I'm a caterer for a charter school, since September of last year I've been ordering more than 24 pizzas a week from Papa John's on N. Tryon St. I've had to contact the corporate office regarding the lack of service at this location which led me to working with the District Manager and advising her of my service complaints. The problems that I've had consist of the pizzas arriving more than 30 mins late which doesn't allow the students enough time to have lunch. The slices are cut uneven, which gives the students the impression that I'm purposely giving them a thin slice of pizza or I have to give 2 slices to compensate. (Parents complain and want refunds, but Papa John's has never refunded me). I asked them to redeliver pizzas that wasn't satisfactory; the pizza was delivered at 1 p.m. to the front office secretary. Lunch hrs are 11:10 a.m. to 12:40 p.m.
The cheese has been stuck to the top of boxes on a few of the pizzas. The pizzas appeared to be dropped and shifted overlapping other slices; unable serve. With that said, I have attached a few photos of the pizzas delivered on Friday. I contacted the District Mgr and expressed my concerns. Her comment to me was that I always have a complaint. I tried to reason with her and advise her that she was definitely wrong. I've not shared all of these issues with but I can say the concerns that she was made aware of she did nothing but make excuses for her staff. When I advised her that my pizzas arrived 30 mins late, her comment was they have several orders to get out as well.
She's never offered compensation to show that she values the business I have given them since September (weekly). Nevertheless, I've decided that the 1.2 rating is warranted with this company and have contacted another company for the school. As a caterer I take pride in the product that I provide, maybe they feel they're only children but they are my customers and I desire to give exceptional service.
Driver came to deliver online purchased pizza and request to see ID and credit card. The purchase should be confidential where a driver should have my credit card data so as to verify and neither should I need to show my ID. Those verification should be done online; however, my guess did show credit card and ID. Her husband placed the order with his wife card as she has a Papa John account. Upon delivery the driver asked and was given both cards and refused to give us the pizza because the wife name is not on the order.
He held on to the cards which made us very uncomfortable as identity thief’s is on the rise. While questioning us as though he doesn’t understand why she is not a he. Because of the driver suspicious behavior we decided to cancel the order because he had us jumping through hoops and not handing over the pizza. When we called to complain and asked for a refund. The person on the other line was rude, he yelled at me when I told him I would report him and refused to refund until he sees the pizza return. We don’t know if the driver got back but the security of buying and paying online and having to show credit card information to get a pizza is not a secure way of doing online business.
But when I visited my mother in Atlanta GA last month, she said "let's order a pizza" from Papa John's but I said, "Aren't they take and bake only?" She said, "No they deliver and you can pick-up a baked pizza." I had no idea but what the heck, we'll give it a shot! I drove down, picked up a large pie with several toppings and took it home. 1st thing I noticed, the smell wasn't like other good pizzas I've eaten recently but it's about taste so I wasn't worried. Sat down to eat with my mother and opened the box; for the price, it looked very skimpy on cheese and meats.
Then the taste test: first bites we both looked at each other with a "really" look on our faces! I spit mine into a napkin and my mother swallowed her bite. I exclaimed: "I thought Domino's was the worst but there's a clear loser leader now!" We threw away the pizza and called to complain. The manager said: "that's what we make so take it or leave it!!" LOL. Not worth the trip back to put that pie where the sun shines on him all day. This is my review of what we think is the worst pizza ever.
My husband called in an order to Papa John's pizza. We had a coupon from a flyer. I do not watch cable TV, we have HULU and other smart TV apps. Therefore, I had not seen any of their commercials. They were running a buy one pizza, get one pizza free deal at the time, it was a much better deal than the coupon we had. The employees did not mention their promo, perhaps they are instructed not to. The coupon we used was a couple dollars off of 1 two topping pizza.
My husband and I have known each other for over 20 years. My pizza order has not changed in all that time, mushroom extra cheese. I do not eat red meat. I overheard the order and he did not ask for the pepperoni that they put on the pizza. The kids and him got a pizza with sausage and other meats, with plans to eat a few pieces of mine. Our pizzas arrived, theirs was okay. Mine had mushroom extra cheese, & they put PEPPERONI on it. The manager claimed up and down that he overheard his employee take the order. She did nothing wrong. If that were really the case, the manager should have noticed that they gave us 3 toppings, instead of the 2 specified on the coupon.
I brought the WHOLE ENTIRE UNEATEN PIZZA BACK. They STILL have not refunded our money for the 2nd pizza, which should have been no problem, considering they were running a buy one get one free deal at the time! My husband is a police detective in this community, & is a very honest, and reliable man. I have been complaining on Facebook, & was told we would get a refund, they would escalate the case. Sadly, that this was my first ever experience with Papa John's pizza, & with shoddy treatment like this, unfortunately, it will be the last. I imagine when the gentlemen are trying to decide what pizza to get for everyone at the police station, this story comes up. After all, they did this to the head of the narcotics department. You know, the guy that shows up when small businesses get held up by heroin addicts. The employee and manager are incredibly rude to customers, accused us of lying.
It has been two months since they sent us a mistake pizza and blamed it on us, the order number got accidentally thrown away, but how many people bring whole pizzas back with none eaten? I guarantee, they know who we are. You don't argue with people that hard and have them return a faulty product in a huff, and have no idea... It is the Goucher St Papa John's in the Westmont section of Johnstown, PA. I have read other complaints online about this same store. You would figure they'd do something about it, as it is harming the company's reputation.
I called in a order to the Mill Creek store one day ahead of my event and gave a time for pickup. My husband went to pick it up & the pizzas were not ready. I thought 24 hours notice would be sufficient. We will have a party and we needed the pizzas at a certain time. My husband asked the gentleman if he would do our pizza immediately and he said "not going to happen". The pizzas for our party were 20 minutes late. Will never use this company again.
Today how old is a pizza too large the $21.99. I order one Thin Crust and one pan pizza and guess what? When you order the pizza they don't tell. You think was going to be large but pan Pizza are going to be medium and I called the store and they said they're having the same problem. I don't blame them because this is the corporate office problem and it's pretty shameful they don't describe definition what kind of size of pizza you going to get and you they just take your money. And once you get it and you will surprise so before you do business with this people Mr. Papa John's you not anymore papa store. So unless you want to be mama papa store where you were belongs you can be there.
Unless put your act together and describe a consumer what they're paying for it rather doing false advertisement. No wonder they kick you out though but pretty soon the way you guys doing business I'm hoping you will be out of prison soon and shame on you and your corporate office. And by the way you forgot we living in the United States of America. No more Italiano so we don't do business like that. You not running your old-time Grandpa business. This is 21st century so put your act together and don't rip off people for no reason and again shame on you and your all corporate offices.
They're late. The food is bad. They're disrespectful. They have a jerk for a boss who shows no respect for the little man. They wont even tell you what they're putting on your food. This place is terrible and cannot be trusted. This place does not deserve your money.
I called the call center and asked for 2 large pizza to be delivered to my house in Tala Amwaj...after one hour I called them. They told me extra 15 min... then I called again and the call center transferred me to the restaurant in Amwaj and I was choked that the Manager told me that there is no driver available now. After 1 hour 30 min (waiting for PIZZA).
It has been brought to your attention that one of their drivers is guilty of hitting a family's pet, killing it, (while the family witnessed this) and leaving the scene of the accident. Let them know that the driver was speeding through a residential neighborhood where children live, and all things considered, this does not reflect well on Papa John's Pizza, and that you feel this is an issue that is of great magnitude, and measures should be taken to insure that it doesn't ever happen again, whether it be a family pet or someone's child, and should be dealt with in a swift and decisive manner.
These big corporations need to handle up on stuff like this. They make billions of dollars in profit per year, and can certainly afford to implement some sort of "driver training" classes. If they are going to be hiring drivers that have the mentality that speeding through residential neighborhoods, hitting pets, and leaving the scene is "okay", then drastic measures are in order, and this problem needs to be addressed and dealt with immediately. One dead pet is too many. What is it's a child next time? As for me, I will be letting them know that this situation definitely means I will not be spending my money at Papa John's Pizza in the future. Employee was from Papa John's Mansfield Rd., Shreveport, Louisiana. Date happened. 1/10/2018.
I received a coupon for a free large pizza from Papa John's for my last order taking far too long. This is totally acceptable and I appreciated it. Their customer service is not the problem here, it is the food. The employees at this location are wonderful. And our food was delivered in a perfectly timely manner. My complaint is with corporate. I am skeptical that the wings I ordered (never gotten them before, just giving them a try) were even from real chickens. They are 99% fat, 1% bone, and have a very bizarre gamey taste. I never write reviews, but am going out of the way to urge Papa John's to please look into this issue, and to dissuade others from wasting money on something that tastes the way these wings do. Perhaps the chickens supplying these wings are prohibited from even moving or seeing daylight for their entire lives. That would be the only sad and pathetic, yet logical explanation. Absolutely terrible quality. Will never order again.
My husband and I ordered 16 wings and an xl pizza pepperoni and sausage. When I got home I opened the chicken box there was only 12 wings and my pizza was wrong. It was ham and sausage. I took the order back and the manager gave me back my cold wings and 4 wings they remade. Also gave us a new pizza. Upon arriving home I opened the pizza box and it was the same pizza they gave me before!!! They just put it in the oven to get it warm again. When I called again the manager Heather said she wasn’t going to replace it!!! I will never eat here again. Unless of course it’s free. Worst customer service ever. Also was not given a receipt but did include pictures of our order.
I promised my team I would buy Pizza today (Friday) as a thank you for their hard work. I saw Pizza Hut had 50% off but Papa John's had a BOGO deal. I chose Papa Johns and paid $29. If it were not a BOGO deal I wouldn't be complaining. But $29 for a BOGO pizza deal is insane!!! Too pricey. Last time I buy Papa Johns.
I placed a delivery order at Papa John's located on 529 Stanley Avenue Brooklyn, New York 11207 at approximately 12:50 pm on January 4, 2018. Although Papa John's is less than five blocks away from my residence, I still have not received my order and the time now is 5:00 pm. The delay in service was extensive. When I tried to contact a customer service representative at the store number (718) 272-7272 it took two-three hours of non-stop calling before someone even answered. The person whom I spoke to was unapologetic when I requested to cancel my order. They kept me on hold for 30 minutes when I shared my experience and that I would like a refund. I now, have to call my credit card company to ensure this purchase does not go through because they were not helpful. I would only buy from this place if I loved being treated less than a dog. Where is the humanity?
I called to order a pizza tonight. The young man answering was a bit short. We're seniors and don’t need a lot of pizzas. I asked about special offers and his answer was buy one get one free. Not for us so I asked what a medium Hamburger pizza would cost delivered. He said $18 and I replied that it sounded a bit pricey for a one topping. With a little rudeness he said that’s what they cost. I told him the last order was wrong so I would just call someone else. Called Pizza Hut and got a large two topping with an order of breadsticks for $16.50. The pizza was just the way we ordered and tasted great. Sorry Papa John's but we won't call a third time.
Dec. 23rd 9 pm. Ordered a large pepperoni & mushroom pizza delivered to my home. Began eating it about 10:30 pm. Around 1:30 am, I awoke & started vomiting. My son who also ate the pizza began vomiting about 2:30 am. We both continued with vomiting & diarrhea for several more hours. We will never eat a Papa John's pizza again. It came from their location on Edmondson Ave. In Catonsville, MD.
Well first off my first order they said was going to take over an hour so I cancelled it and they said I could get a free one. So I called to get my free delivery and they couldn’t do it so I just paid and then it got to my house. I was eating my second piece and I found a long brown hair cooked into it and immediately stopped and threw the rest away. It was absolutely disgusting!!!!
Tonight my order was delivered missing one pizza sauce cup. It wasn’t a huge deal, but I did pay hard earned money for it. I called the store to have the missing cup brought out to me and after an hour, nothing came. I called again and the manager said that I was lying because he boxed my food himself (and apparently he never makes mistakes). He would not give me my missing food item. I consider this theft. The manager was also very rude and condescending. This was at the Cliff Road location in Eagan, MN. Stay far away from this location or even Papa John’s altogether.
After waiting 3 hours 12 mins on my pizza, I made a second call and spoke with Pam that advised me my pizza was delivered to a couple that explained to the delivery driver as well as Pam they didn’t order a pizza. No call was made to me to inform me of the mix-up and yet I was told she would cancel the order so I could make another one however, the delivery time would be another hour wait. This should never happen to a customer. I’ve had nothing but problems when ordering from this store and yet I still support the business. This was the last time I EVER use them again!
I called and ordered a pizza and they said be 20 mins, no problem so I go in get it and they take my money. Go back to get my pizza and the girl comes back and says her driver didn't put it in the oven. As I stood at the counter while she was just sitting in the office doing nothing she should have put it in. Never again!!
I order pizza from Papa John's for our family's pizza night. However this time I ordered pizza and received the nastiest pizza I have ever tasted. No one was able to eat their food or enjoy the meal. I called the store and we got the exact same gross tasting pizza. I will not be ordering from them again. I'll eat Little Caesars first. They should be providing the products promised great ingredients, great pizza not today.
Over the years the quality has become worse, too many crazy pizza creations, overpriced. I spent $36 on one pizza and a 2 liter. I should have just ordered from the authentic Italian pizzeria down the street for $10 less, I know I am charged $2 for delivery but it's ridiculous for the quality and waiting time 80 minutes!!!
The delivery fee needs to be explained and stated for what it is, a farce! The driver doesn't get it, and there's NO difference in what the store has to do to get the pizza to me. I tip the drivers $5.00 for each pie delivered. But, adding $3.98 (after tax) as a delivery fee is highway robbery and is just dishonest when the driver isn't getting it and you didn't have to do anything else to get my pizza in the box before the driver takes it? The fee started at $2.00, and quickly climbed to $3.75 within a couple years? I'm done with being cheated!! How crooked and despicable can you possibly be to gouge customers for a FAKE fee? START BEING HONEST!! Either remove the fee or itemize what it's for and where it goes!! Crooks!
While visiting relatives in Fort Wayne Indiana my wife and I went to get a pizza, I get Papa John's pizza on every trip in every state we travel to and I always get for my employees too. There are 20 of us that travel state with our work, we ordered 6 pizzas and pop, when we got to job site all the toppings were threw right in the middle of the pizza, this was terrible, this was right in Fort Wayne. We are there around 7 times a year and have not been back, just thought you should know how your pizzas are being made in that city.
I will never order from Papa John's on BUCKNER BLVD location. Customer service was terrible. I ordered two large pizzas and they had the nerve to tell me I can only get two packets of parmesan cheese... I offered to pay more money but he was rude and told me no. He had no information about prices and promotions and act like he did not want to help me. Poor customer service.
Haven't ordered from Papa John’s since I left Nashville. Friends & I decided to order from there tonight... I found coupon for BOGO, so ordered the pizzas. They arrived in a timely manner, but when I opened the box of the all meat one, we were disappointed that all the toppings were sitting in the middle. Not much toppings either! Is the quality you get here in Huntsville? Not caring, in a hurry, throw them on & go? Or is it because I used a coupon, so again... don’t care attitude? Think I'll stick with Venice!
Worst Pizza chain in the Houston area. All locations constantly mess up orders. I have given up on them. Every pizza I have ordered had missed toppings. I do not know how many sodas I've ordered and they show up at my door as diet. Only pizza company that lives up to my standards here is Domino's, because they are accurate on what I ORDER! All company cares about is money and they have a lot of it.
This the last time that we order from this place. Their Pizza quality and poor service have ruined the brand name in Bahrain. The people responsible for taking the complaints in are totally irresponsible and careless. Imagine you order something and they delivered something else (wrong topping) and they expect you to consume it by force. i.e. they tell you, no problem, just wait, we correct your order after two hours. Is this a logical solution for a mistake they did? No MORE PAPA JOHNS IN FUTURE.
Continued bad treatment of a loyal customer by 1 manager. I have been using Papa John's for 20 years for many occasions. The store on State Street in Atlanta is the one we have used consistently for 6 years, despite horrible service at times. We have had drivers vandalize our vehicles, insult us and our neighbors, and threaten my girlfriend. The last two years have been better, real good actually. Timely delivers, good drivers. But now this GM is a problem too. He is enabling bad service and a horrible shift manager to continue working there, named Kinsey.
We had a driver unable to get through the gate to our complex. Yes, there is a sign right there that tells you what to do, and of course no driver has a problem with it. But this kid did, and was very rude about it. Called me 9 times to tell me the gate didn't work. I called the Papa John's to complain about getting my phone blown up by this driver. What did Kinsey do? Instead of sending me a new order like the other managers would, she cancelled my order!
There have been two other times this horrible manager screwed us out of an order and cost me money and made kids very unhappy. The latest incident was inexcusable. I placed an online delivery order. After an hour of nothing, I called. I was told it was on its way. 30 minutes later, still nothing, I called back. Another girl assure me it had left at 3:19 PM, at this point it is 4:00. Then this Kinsey clown gets involved again. And what does she do - you got it - cancelled the order again. In fact she said it was never made. So these people lied to me and wasted my time, with an end result being a long time loyal customer getting screwed out of a meal and having their schedule impacted.
I had the district manager apologize to me (Dontcho) profusely the last time, gave me a free pizzas. But he didn't do anything about the main problem - this Kinsey. I have had neighbors complain about her as well. It is very unfortunate Papa John's has fallen so far down the tubes when it comes to quality and customer service. They are no longer loyal to customers who have been very loyal to them, even putting up with mistakes. I will never do business with them again. And I am spreading the word as to how screwed up this location has become. There is no excuse for this type of conduct in business. All I ever did was order a meal and ask why I am the one penalized because of drivers not being able to find addresses or get through gates.
Lately I have begun having issues with the quality of the pizzas I've been getting from my local Papa Johns. Today I received a pan pizza the was uncooked in the middle. Not good. I use to like their pizzas but probably will go with another company.
It's been a few different times now that I have called requesting side items with my order (ranch, garlic butter, etc.), and each time I've only received one side when I specifically asked for 2 or more and insisted I pay for the extra ones. When calling requesting for extra side items, I've gotten nothing but rude attitudes from the late night shift workers. I work late nights at my job and understand being tired, but if I'm paying extra for delivery, I expect what I order online.
We ordered a extra large pizza with Canadian bacon, pineapples. Waited 20 minutes and did not know until we arrived home with three hungry children that the pizza was not cooked, cheese was not melted and was very little to none, the toppings was both very little to none. We called in to notify Papa John's of problem and were hung up on twice.
I've had a number of Papa John's pizzas in the past and the quality has been good. The last couple of pizzas I've got using an email "Special" not to mention the specials they have listed online and tried them both. This last one that I ordered today was the worst of them all, an extra large 2 topping pizza for $11 which is more than half off their regular price. Here's what I've noticed... When you order a pizza and pay the regular price, it covered plenty of toppings but when you order the "Special" it's half the price but also half the toppings... So it's not a very good pizza. They say you get what you pay for but this last one was ridiculous... I'd rather have Little Caesars over a Papa John's Special.
My husband (Demetrius **) ordered pizza from this facility on 8/11/17. We received the pizza between 5 pm and 6 pm. It was half pepperoni and half meat-lovers. Around 5:30 AM I awoke vomiting and my husband proceeded shortly after me. Unfortunately for us, our wedding was the following day (8/12/17) at 4 pm. I contacted the facility, and the manager offered me a refund for our meal but continued to haggle me that what we experienced was not food poisoning. With the help of saltine crackers and **, we made it through the wedding (there was no reception, no alcohol) later that evening and the day after we both had severe diarrhea (at this point we had consumed little or no food because the pizza had obviously severely poisoned us). It is now 8/16/17, and while my husband is feeling well, I am still recovering from the trauma of this poisoned pizza. I am now having a food aversion to all meat.
I am contacting the facility so that it does not happen to anyone else. The manager stated that if someone contacted the facility within 24 hours of my request and said they were food poisoned as well he would do something about it (what that means I have no idea). I believe he did not care how ill my husband and I were and how frustrating for it to happen the night before the wedding. Food borne illnesses can occur in less than 24 hours. I am currently pursuing a Master's of Healthcare Quality and Safety at my local university and I am just astonished at how the situation was handled. It seems the manager did not care and only bantered back and forth with me about how there was NO possible way my illness could have come from the facility instead of on trying to combat the issue at hand. I hope this reaches the appropriate persons so that others will be treated better and the situation can be handled more respectfully.
We placed an online order 3 days ago and ordered 2 pizzas The Works and the new XL Pepperoni. Went to pick them up and we made the mistake on online order which we wanted both extra large pizza to feed friends and family so when I seen the pizzas I explained I orders XL works and XL pepperoni. They said no problem, they will make us new ones. So as we sat there at Papa John's on Greenbush Lafayette Indiana we seen that there was a lot of call backs on orders that they actually made a mistake on orders placed. The girl answering the phone told them about the problems. He said, "tell them if they don't bring the uneaten pizza back they won't replace them." Then he said, "we're already low on cheese and other toppings we lost."
Well back to our story after our pizza was done we took them home and my granddaughter said, "Papa this pepperoni is way too spicy" and started to cry. Then other family members said the same thing and after opening both pizzas that cost us over $25 there was no topping, very little and a lot of bread. Thank God there was a friend there that just graduated from college and wanted to take the pepperoni pizza to have test ran on it and by just looking at the pizza we seen a lot of pepper flakes crushed up. After we confirm the test will be contacting a lawyer.
I ordered the pizza based on the website advertisement. I chose pepperoni and sausage. When I arrived I did open the box and peeked inside. Besides I had two more stops before returning home. When I arrived home, the topping were very skimpy with some slices only having 2-3 pieces of meat, and the crust was tough. Because I live 16 miles away - I decided to resolve the situation on my own by adding more toppings. It was the first time I have ordered in months, and it will be longer before I ever do again.
My experience was very insulting, humiliated and tried to use the police to intimidate me. I called in a order came on the store was not greeted. I asked the manager could she please wring up my order and she just about let me know that when she get through where she could have had an employee to see about order of Cheese pizza sticks so that I can leave. She had an attitude problem. And said she did not have to wait on me. I stayed and talked to the police. I am shocked and felt very hurt that I couldn't get my daughter her cheese sticks. Papa John have prejudice managers working for their company Griffin Ga. **. Pull the tape to see how awkward she was to me 7/19/2017.
This is the second chance I gave Papa John's, both times the pizza was overpriced and poor quality. I ordered a Garden Fresh large pizza, it took a long time for it to come and once it came it had very little vegetables on it and very little cheese. As much as they charge they should make sure that what they send out in worth what they are charging. The pizza was missing most of the toppings it was suppose to come with and the little toppings that managed to make it on the pizza were very sparse and right in the center of the pizza. For dang near $30 for one pizza they need to put better effort in the product. I will never order from them again. The worst quality and quantity from a pizza chain! Papa John's should be put out of business. False advertising or poor training for those that work for them, maybe both are the issue. I got no receipt even though I asked for one.
We ordered a double XXL pizza. They asked what we wanted on it, and we said pepperoni & extra cheese. We waited for our order. After it came we discovered not only was there no extra cheese, there was sausage on it. We called and told them about the problem, so they said that they'd have another one right out. When that one came it was the EXACT SAME PIZZA. We were then told that all XXL pizza's come like that, but the sticker clearly says extra cheese & extra pepperoni, minus Italian sausage. (+ Extra Cheese, - Italian Sausage, + Pepperoni).
If all XXL pizzas come like that, it would have been nice to know because we would have ordered differently. Now we have 2 pizzas that nobody here is going to eat, and we're out almost $26. How is this our fault, and can we get a refund? We used to like Papa Johns, but it appears quality and customer service are a thing of the past. How in the world is this our fault??? P.S. the 1 star is only because it's a required field.
I ordered a pie sometime in April after already having issues in the past such as: unable to process order online, card won't take, food never arriving, being hung up on when you call, driver wants me to meet him outside to pick up order, perpetually late, rude and verbally abusive drivers, etc. What can I say they are often late, But never again after this one! The pizza was delivered so late I had even forgotten I ordered, took me a minute to answer the door and what I was greeted with were erratic shouts and screams and I just wanted him to leave asap, being single I was startled and felt fearful, but I let it go. I noticed my card was not charged a day or two later and I called corporate to inform them along with filing a complaint on the driver.
A complaint was filed, no one got back to me and I thought nothing of it since I believed I did my due diligence; until a detective reaches out to me yesterday, months later. I give the detective all the information and instead it seems, he is simply trying to make a quota; he did not care about the truth or justice. Corporate Office could not reply as to why no one got back to me other than deflecting as to why did I never follow-up; furthermore, they expressed the Corona store is a franchise and I should try to attempt calling them directly first. Great, what happens when you call and they tell you that it is the wrong number??? The franchise owner information given to me by corporate is not correct, what does that mean?
It is only now after being personally targeted for something I did not do that I notice Grubhub and Yelp have multiple negative reviews about drivers at that specific store, Consumer Affairs has 268 complaints on file, PapaJohns.pissedconsumer.com has 746 complaints on file. I am extremely disheartened to find myself mistreated not once by Papa Johns, not twice, but to now be implicated criminally over a $20 pizza pie as if I am trash or that my character would ever reflect such a tacky demeanor. I will fight for justice for this mistreatment!
