I placed an order through the Papa Johns app and waited nearly 40 minutes before noticing it was marked as delivered. Nothing was outside. I called the store and the manager immediately blamed DoorDash. While I appreciated the offer to remake the order, what arrived was one of the worst pizzas I have ever received from any location.
The pizza was a complete mess. There were large pockets of air that burst during cooking, causing all the toppings to slide and pool in the center. The cheese coverage was terrible and over half the pizza looked like burnt scraps. I also paid extra for pepperoncini, which was not included. Instead, I received three ranch cups I did not ask for.
When I called back to report the quality issue and the missing items, the manager argued with me, claimed it passed a quality check, then admitted he submitted the order incorrectly. How does a pizza pass quality check if it was made wrong to begin with? And then he hung up on me. Yes, the manager hung up on a paying customer over an issue caused by their own mistake. I used Papa Points that I earned from prior orders and still had to cook from my pantry because the pizza was not edible. Why spend money on takeout if I am going to cook anyway?
I chose Papa Johns over the Pizza Hut located in the same shopping center. Like many others in this area, I used to be a loyal Papa Johns customer. Not anymore. The manager’s behavior was unprofessional, dismissive, and rude. Yelling at customers and hanging up in their face is unacceptable behavior for anyone, especially someone in charge of a store. This should not be the standard. It is completely unacceptable to waste my loyalty points, deliver a poor quality product, and then refuse to take accountability for it. If you cannot treat customers with respect, you should not be in charge of customer service.

Got a large thin crust pizza with Canadian bacon and pineapple at Farmington Utah - pick up order. There was NO canadian bacon and only about 2 - 3 small pieces of pineapple per slice. I could not believe it!!!

Ordered my pizza, it was way late and cold, talked to the general manager, he said he called several times to let me know it might be late. My phone was charging, he did not call several times. He was also very rude.

I had never tried Papa John's until Sunday night. Some friends told me they weren't bad so I tried them. Ordered a large NY Pizza and chicken parm bites. I opened the box and knew I was in trouble. The cheese was concealed on the pizza. No stringy mozzarella happening here. The pizza was cold. The dough was under cooked. The pizza was cold and the sauce was inedible. The chicken was pretty much the same. Cold, undercooked and tasteless. This wasn't pizza. This was somebody version of how can we make a cheap, easy to make pizza. Maybe it's cheap for them but those 2 items were $40.00. Why would anybody go back and order again. After leaving a review on their website the manager called and asked if I wanted them to remake it and send it. I said No Thanks. If they couldn't do it right the first time why should I believe it would be better now. Don't eat Papa John's pizza. You will regret it.

During my travels, I’ve visited many Papa John’s restaurants, but the one in Tunisia stands out as a true gem. The Papadias here are absolutely incredible. From the very first bite, the dough impressed me—light, fluffy, and perfectly baked to a delightful golden hue. The sauce was just the right amount of tangy, enhancing the flavors without overwhelming the palate. The cheese was beautifully melted, providing that satisfying stretch that every cheese lover craves.
What really made this Papadias special was the quality of the meat. It was flavorful and cooked to perfection, adding to the overall deliciousness. The combination of these elements created a taste experience that I haven’t encountered anywhere else. If you’re a fan of Papa John’s or simply enjoy great food, you must try the Papadias at the Tunisian location. I don't like Dominos or Little Caesars pizza so I tried Papa Johns. I wasted a trip and I WASTED 15.00. I ate maybe 3 pieces and threw the rest of it out in the yard for my cats to eat. I put Papa Johns BELOW both Dominos and Little Caesars and that is how I feel about Papa Johns.

Order their $9.99 extra large New York style pizza special. Ask for light sauce, extra cheese and mushrooms. It was a big pile of dough with a quart of tomato sauce on it and fake cheese. I think they put five mushrooms on it. The sauce is terrible so the more they put on the worse the taste. They have no concept of what a New York style pizza is. The crust was about a quarter inch thick. Extra large my ass. The pizza was 14 in. I would call up the restaurant and ask for my money back but I just don't have the energy to deal with these Crooks. That's what America is now. Poor customer service and poor quality products. Everyone's got their hand out looking for money for terrible service Period. For God's sake Papa Johns have some pride in your Product Period.

Such a horrible service at the east market location. I literally ordered 2 cheese sticks and 2 2 liters of pop and some sauces and the delivery driver completely forgot my sauces and pop and had to go back to store to get my pop and my mother had to go back out and get the sauces. Such a horrible store. When my mother was at the location she said they all looked like they were smoking.

Love Papa John's Pizza, however, if you want to order from their website, it’s very difficult and when you have to input your address, it says (the address is not in a delivered area) and then when you call, you get someone on the phone that you can’t understand and does not understand what you are wanting to order. Please address these issues and maybe look into fixing the website for ordering online.

I wanted to try their thin crust pizza. Apparently you can only order it in a large even that was more than I wanted. I did so anyways. I ordered sausage with extra mushroom. The crust was soggy, wet cardboard, texture and taste. It had about seven little pieces of sausage and maybe ten quarter pieces of mushroom. Sauce was thick and sweet like old tomato paste. I contacted the GM, they agreed to refund but then told me I paid cash through a DoorDash. I shared a screenshot with her of my bank charge. But she maintains I paid with cash through a DoorDash. Currently going through my bank for results.

My name is David**. I ordered a large pizza sept 1st 2025. Just pepperoni, extra cheese and a 2 liter Sherri plus 5 dollar tip. I waited an hour and half. They delivered it to next door neighbor to the right of the house where I was working. The next door neighbor brought me pizza and drink and the pizza was cold. I asked the neighbor if the pizza guy knocked on his door. He said no so I called Papa Johns to come get the pizza and drink. They said they would not come pick it up so the guy at papa Johns he was going to cancel my order and get my money back. That is not the worst of it. I was starving. Didn’t eat all day. I didn’t trust the pizza because it was left outside so I have it to the next door neighbor. I’m working at **. Papa John’s got my number and papa John’s store is 2.5 miles from where I was working. Will I buy from there again? No I will not. The pizza cost me about 30 dollars.

I had a bad experience with a Papa John's to the point of getting sick and having to throw away the rest. I contacted the store and within the few words I was told basically there was no way I could have gotten sick even though my food was undercooked. I then submitted a feedback to which I had to contact customer care because I never received a contact from the general manager of the store in Tallahassee Florida. After going back and forth I pleaded with them to at least return a refund through pan coins but instead of doing so they stated to me that next time I was in Florida that I would be able to get my food remade for free. That sounded great and all but why would I drive four and a half hours somewhere just to get pizza and wings that may be undercooked again. I wish Papa John's could handle the situation a little better and maybe it's my fault for paying cash and not with my card.

What a nightmare dealing with them. The more complaints you make , they don't call you back. I got hung up on twice today. Once from customer service and once by a supervisor. I was on hold both times when they hung up. I have had the same complaint for 2 years. My Papa Johns does not open at 11am. No clue what time they open. Every day is a different time. No one cares. No one ever calls back. The worst company ever for customer service. They rather hang up on you and go on with their day. They refuse to have corporate office call, or maybe they the ones that refuse to call. Bad business all the way around!!

They charged me for an order that kept updating from 530pm to close to 11pm. Despite my frantic attempt to figure out what was going on so I could feed my 3 year old boy, the store had no idea what had or was happening. After an hour, I made my own pizza that I'm sure was much better than what I would have received if I ever did get it delivered. I called customer support and talked to a rude person that sounded like she was to busy to provide any details of their process of handling customer complaints. To my extreme surprise, I received and email from the "Area manager" that evening.
The area manager said they take issues like this seriously and he had instructed the local manager to issue a refund and let him know if there were any other details. I sent him all the screenshots of what happened and explained that just a refund was not going to retain me as a customer. Also, that have wasted too much time dealing with this nonsense. It's been over a week and here I am with no refund or resolution. Now I have to waste time warning customers of Papa Johns about their complete lack of management and accountability. Beware! They are extremely unreliable and criminal in this case.

Horrid! Pizza was all dough! They screwed up and sent a pizza that wasn't fully cooked. Of course we had to bite into it to notice it wasn't done, and when we called to let them know, they asked for the pizza back! Why they would take a pizza from someone's house and bring it back into the store, is beyond me! I don't mind them checking it to see we weren't incorrect, but to take it back to the store is disturbing. Shelbyville Papa Johns is NEVER a place I'd suggest for anyone! How embarrassing!

This pizza was supposed to be a specialty item called the cheesy burger pizza or whatever. This is not. I repeat this is not a specialty item. All this is is a cheese pizza with zits. There is no meat on this pizza. Nothing that even resembles the taste of cheeseburgers. Nothing that resembles anything that relates to. What a specialty Pizza requires to be exactly that. This is a slap upside the head and I don't wish this mental anguish on anybody hungry in this world.
I will never eat at this place again for the money it cost me. Location Clearwater Florida off Missouri avenue North Missouri avenue is North North. Okay look it says South Missouri but it's the very northern point of Missouri avenue. It's past Court Street which is the furthest north you can get on Missouri. They can't even get that right. This was ridiculous and to think I tip these guys. Whatever dude. I will never go back to this place again ever. If you go there then you already know what to expect and you deserve what you get.

I give 3 stars out of 4 because the delivery was an hour and 15 minutes later than expected. Found the pizza sitting outside on our table. The driver did not knock to let us know the pizza had arrived. Pizza was barely warm even though the restaurant is about a half a mile from the house. Tip was very good but delivery was not.

Supervisor: Jeanice. I paid 123.79 at a Papa John’s on 7/11. I have yet to receive my points. I called them twice and did a chat. Spoke to two different reps with one being a supervisor and they had the nerve to tell me they didn’t see my transaction on their end. I had the receipt and read the info on it and still acted as if they didn’t care. I invest in this company a lot due to meetings and you see I place huge orders based on price. The fact that you couldn’t take the time to listen to me as a customer with my proof is ridiculous and unacceptable. You could’ve easily made this right. I asked for points that I EARNED, I didn’t ask for money back. This shows along with your 1.6 star that you don’t care about your customers, so why should I continue to invest in you?!! I won’t!

I ordered the Cheeseburger Pizza Special, 12.99, normally 15.99, and there was almost no burger on the pizza. I ordered online and picked it up. The toppings were only in the middle and didn’t even go near the crust. Very disappointed. Plenty of pickles and tomatoes but not much of anything else.

Please do not waste your money on the "New Cheese Burger Pizza". We were very disappointed when we picked up two mediums to go and when we got home and opened them they were sad. There is 1 1/2 to 2 inches of nothing but thick pizza dough around the edge with just a sprinkle of toppings in the middle. Where is the pizza?? Pizza toppings should cover most of the pizza, or is this a new trend?? It reminded me of pizza they used to serve in public school cafeterias. Someone please let me know if this is the wave to the future of pizza!!! Ugh,,,,

Not a Good place. Management Hella Rude, work environment Hostile and Not Friendly. Managers Argue with customers and Hang up on them. Driver Very Rude and Disrespectful. All allowed by Franchise owner. Just All around NOT A GOOD PLACE TO WORK. You have to get in Good with store managers just to get work hours. Papa John is a rip off. July 5, 2025, bought bacon cheesey bread, and I can say just get the original cheese bread. Don't waste your money on the bacon cause it looks nothing like picture online. I only had a sprinkle of bacon on the bread, I could have did this at home.

Ordered for the first time in Stephenville, TX. We usually get Pizza Hut but thought we would try Papa John’s. Ordered a medium pizza with pepperoni and Canadian bacon with onions on half plus 6 hot wings cooked crispy or well done. Plus some garlic butter. What we got was onion on the entire pizza, no garlic butter and wings that were not edible due to undercooked. The DoorDash driver picked up a little after 6 but did not deliver until after 6:30 so it was cold as well. Will never order from Papa John’s again.

Bought a pizza today. Love Papa Johns but very disappointed in the size of their pizzas for the cost. A large used to be a standard 16" anywhere you went. Now an extra large is 16", which used to be 18". Not even worth it anymore. I will stick with getting pizza in the box store where a large is 16" and under $10.00.

Ordered 2 medium 1-topping pizzas, one with pepperoni and the other with chicken/BBQ sauce. Couldn't eat the chicken one because the crust was raw, so total loss. The pepperoni had almost no cheese and the crust was difficult to bite through, you ended up having to tear it. I know quality has suffered but this is beyond.

Unaware that the order was already paid, and wanting to receive the pizzas, my son gave the driver the additional $5.00. This appears to be misleading and inappropriate behavior by your delivery driver, especially when dealing with a minor.

The apartment complex I live in was serving Papa Johns pizza in the office. I walked by & two workers from the complex were outside & offered some. I took it to be polite even though I'd never tried Papa John's pizza before. I took it back to my apartment & took a bite of each and then put them down the garbage disposal. Both were horrible! Terrible taste! Never again!

Almost every time I order I add extra sauces and, obviously, pay for them. I add note to please not forget the extra sauces. I often don’t get them, never get the promised refunds for the missing sauces, and today I called and raised my voice because I was so tired of it. The girl hung up on me. I actually emailed corporate once about the same problem and they couldn’t even take time to respond. Pathetic business. Terrible customer service.

Unfortunately, I am disappointed with the place. I bought 8 piece buffalo wings. They obviously dumped the wings in and poured too much sauce over part of them. The chicken itself did not have a lot of flavor however most disappointing was the amount of fat on the wings. Come on, Papa Johns, you can do better. Next time I will go to Amigos for boneless wings and the homemade ranch. And less $$.

Our office ordered and when it was delivered, we were totally shocked. Boneless wings, 5 different orders. They were the same as you buy from the grocery store. Not like what it had been before. It's like they ran out of product and went to the grocery store to make the food.

Today my mother bought us dinner and got three pizzas, 2 large and a small. All three pizzas were not baked all the way through. $45.00 down the drain. Their care for fresh, quality and ingredients are just no longer there. Ever since the actual founder and CEO was replaced, everything went downhill. Seems like they are trying to imitate Domino's, which is also nasty 🤮🤢. From now on, we will drive the extra 20 or so miles for Marco's Pizza. Their ingredients do taste authentic and they actually care about their quality and cooking it all the way. Pizza should not be doughy and soggy, I mean raw dough, on all three pizzas!!! 🤮

The pizza is burnt. And I didn't choose the well done option. Adding toppings doesn't seem to increase the total amount of food, it just replaces the amount that should have been there before adding the topping with the new topping. If I had known, I wouldn't have paid the extra. You end up with burnt pizza, like from the freezer. Tried this pizza for the first time and decided that I'd rather continue to buy pizza from the guys next door. A small family-run Italian business across the street from me. The only thing that kept me from giving it one star was Ubereats. They had a $10 discount, meaning I didn't pay taxes and fees. And the promotion from Papa Johns that made this pizza cost me ~$16. Otherwise, it's not worth it at all. And the Uber delivery guy apparently can't read and instead of bringing the pizza into the lobby of the building and leaving it there, he left it on the street. Right where people walk. And for some reason he has the highest rating.

As you can see I ordered the three topping medium and then made it a large, the worker there could care less at the order was wrong, had the worst attitude, offered no help to fix it. I truly wonder how he has a job, my wife and I will never ever go back.
This was the third time that I ordered was completely wrong and messed up. He told us there was nothing he can do. He said that's just what it is. He said he was reading the order and that's what the order says. She's only what I just showed you what the order was that was sent to me, I have erased the app. We are done too many pizzerias out that make very good pizza. Pizza Hut, Domino's and other pizzas is all kind. Arlington is too big to just deal with this kind of crazy service. We are completely done with Papa John's! Yes we took a cheese pizza home. He would not help us or do anything to help us!

If Papa Johns had zero stars trust me I would put zero. We had a corporate meeting at my job, ordered and paid in full on 04/09/25. Never showed up and the employee said our order was canceled. Never ever again will I order from them!!!! Employee said his manager was suppose to call me and never did. Smh... Shut this place down!!!

Papa Johns has bad customer service, they have the prob online while I was processing the order. They did not give me the option confirm the location. They gave automatically, which ended to make order in different store location far to me, the second problem is they don’t answer the phone. I tried to cancel the order but I was on hold like 1h. When I talked with the customer service online they said they can’t do anything, the store management will decide and contact me but didn’t get any call back and didn’t get the refund. It is been +2 weeks or at least transfer the order to a close location. It is very stressful thing from them because they have good products.

I order from Papa John's triangle, Dumfries ever so often. Apparently the people who work there 90% of the time seems to not pay full attention to the order. "Light sauce" but I get enough on a pizza to make spaghetti and meatballs in tomato paste. Smh. Please notice every detail when an order is placed!!!!

I ordered 2 pizzas from the call center. They screwed up the delivery location and I didn't get the order. I was told by the driver to call back the call center that put me in touch with a store closest to me in Oklahoma city. That store 4 miles from my hotel said they couldn't deliver because it was out of the area. I contacted another store who couldn't take the order. No one would help!! I couldn't input the complaint on the web site because it doesn't work. This was the worst start to my vacation. I will never order from Papa John's pizza because the call center is garbage and the web site intentionally prevents complaints.

So I often order pizza from here and I absolutely detest having to speak to another country. Tonight, my elderly mom really wanted a pizza so I called and spoke to a girl that asked me my address then for five minutes we have to go over the address…this is also every time but this time she had issues. I tell her I want to pay by card and she puts me through to the survey and I give her a 2…then the pizza NEVER showed up and I call the store over an hour later and there IS NO ORDER!

Used to be our favorite place for pizza!! We had cards, our cards filled with punches over years and year and years!! I have not been there since my husband died in 2021. Went to the Campbell store drive thru. Had Chicken Gourmet stuffed crust. It was terrible. $27 thankfully was 30% off and still not even worth that! Barely any toppings could be found! Except for the cheese. What a huge waste of money!! And so greasy!! Now I look at all the bad reviews and I wonder what happened???? I may try one more time but only if I get a big discount. So sad. I used to love this store but every time I go there now they NEVER cut the pizza evenly. They rush and cut the pieces so uneven and I know it seems like a small critique but it is just frustrating that it is every time, I end up having to recut it because most people share a pizza but the pieces being so uneven it’s annoying to do so. The cuts are also often not all the way to the crust or all the way through.

I ordered pizzas from Nederland, Texas and was not told about a delivery fee of $4.79. I interacted with the location, NOT online The total seemed strange after I used a 305 discount code and my order dropped less than 10%. Brooks, the General Manager ONLY offered a 10% discount on my next order - since I won't order from this location THAT'S WORTHLESS!!!! I've owned businesses and mistakes happen...but even my emailed receipt did NOT disclose this fee. DONE WITH THEM - PLENTY of other businesses prefer my business

Ordered a stuff crust pizza yesterday. Wanted the 3 cheese not the regular, but got only mozzarella. Restaurant is less than 2 miles from my house, had it delivered, wasn't in a hot bag, and was room temperature when I received it. Stuffed crust was not melted, looked more like cheese sticks were placed in there. Years ago the pizza used to be pretty awesome, but over years has failed terribly. Used to order pretty frequently, but yesterday's order was months long that I had their pizza. Now you can be sure it will be months, or not at all before I have another.

Fast and amazing food! The manager Bryan has amazing customer service. He told me the current deals and he even offered me cheese and red peppers and they never offer that in any other Papa John's I've been to. Will definitely be coming back to this location! I definitely recommend this place.

I guess this Papa Johns don’t like ** people in their establishment. I ordered online a thin crust pepperoni and a garlic stuffed crust. I didn’t get my stuffed crust. I got another thin crust. On top of that when my husband went to pick up the pies Ollie ignored him since he was ** and my son in law which he is ** while still waiting 7 minutes another older gentleman also ** walked in and Ollie took care of him even though the guy was rude and after went to put stickers on some boxes still not taking care of him. 11 minutes later my son in law asked the girl in the drive thru to check on our order and she did, which was already boxed and ready to go. Well if you are any other race than ** don’t go here. They don’t like our kind around here.

I ordered a pizza from Bessemer location. My husband is in the hospital, they were delivering to the parking lot of hospital. It took 2 hours to get here, the pizza was cold and also we looked and they charged our card twice 73$ for 1 pizza. So we call Papa John's and they tell us they can't do anything about it being charged twice.

Papa John’s in San Antonio Texas on Potranco road is the worst ever. Please don't waste your time. I ordered online and left work to grab my order. Once I got there my order was wrong. So then they replaced my order but this time the pizza wasn’t fully cooked so then the guy got mad because he had he had to recook it again. I don’t usually eat Papa Johns, but my friend ordered it for a family get-together. I had two slices of Stuffed Crust Pepperoni Pizza. It was… Fine. Nothing special. A little greasy, and the sauce was way over-seasoned, but overall, it wasn’t terrible. Fast forward two hours, and I’m in complete agony. Stomach cramps, bloating, awful acid reflux, a headache, gas, constipation, and then diarrhea. I feel like I’m dying. Out of desperation, I googled ‘Papa Johns sick Reddit,’ and wow—the number of people going through exactly what I am is insane. They even have a name for it: ‘Papa poops.’
How has this not been investigated yet?? HOW are they still in business??? I read an article that said they will not reveal ingredients and I find that very telling. Not to mention, the countless comments from current and prior employees talking about a complete lack of sanitary precautions and quality control. Thankfully, I haven’t experienced the violent vomiting others have, but this whole situation is a nightmare. I’ve never had anything like this happen with any other pizza place - ever. And I like pizza. I will NEVER eat here again. Please, save yourself, your stomach, and your poor toilet.

This Papa John’s establishment 4819 Shopton Rd Suite A is trash! From the pizza to the customer service. Especially the customer service, absolute trash! Very unprofessional. Messed up my order several times and didn’t even apologize or try to rectify the issue. Ordered a 5 topping pizza with garlic parm crust. Half the pizza had a crust. The other half had no crust or like a thin crust with no garlic parm. Didn’t put all the toppings I ordered. Don’t waste your time or money going here, you will be disappointed!!

I ordered pizza from the local Manitowoc, WI location on December 3rd, 2024. Papa John's had recently opened in Manitowoc, Wi. I wanted to try a new pizza place. I called in the order via their local phone number. Yet a 3rd party (foreign company who contracts with Papa John's) took the order. I explained that I was allergic to tomatoes. I picked up the two pizzas ordered well done. I took a couple of bites on my way home. Upon looking at the pizza it had tomatoes under the cheese.
I immediately called them and was then transferred from the call center to the local store. I spoke with Riley (Manitowoc Manager on duty). She said, "We did not take the order so we're not responsible." Well, I said, "Listen, I am allergic to tomatoes and mistakes like this can cause death." She offered to make the pizza over. Well that meant I had to drive to the location again. I was promised that she would pass my concern to Marcus her boss and he would get back to me via phone. I never heard back from Papa John's. So, I decided to call the corporate phone number. I spoke with Angie Customer Service in the complaint department. She said, "A representative would review the call and get back to me." Papa John's never followed up. I request my money back for the two pizzas. I developed a rash. Horrible company! Does not care about their customers.

Ordered the Shaqaroni. NOTHING SPECIAL. Just an extra large pizza with cheese and pepperoni. Supposed to be extra cheese, but doesn't look like it. The crust is regular. Thought this would be good, but it's plain or below average. We walked in to pickup our pizza too. The attendant was high on the job, was not in uniform (had an Amazon hoodie on instead); when I opened up the box to check, he missed adding the usual garlic butter and pepper; he then added it - the smallest pepper I ever saw [so we decided to buy a can at the nearby grocery store of pepperoncini peppers instead and didn't trust or eat the one given to us]; his manager came out the office coughing [around food!] To handle the payment; and it was just a very disappointing experience. Got home, opened the box again and realized the pizza wasn't even cut, so we cut it ourselves. I'll never go back there. Support local pizzeria instead- their pizzas and service is so much better.

I can't believe what happened today when I tried to call in and order to my local Papa John's in Jacksonville. The call was answered by someone in Pakistan who cannot even pronounce the name of the street for the store I wanted to pick up the pizza from. I tried my best to place an order, which I finally did, and found out my order was placed somewhere in California. I live in Florida. When I got to the store, the manager told me that he has had a lot of complaints regarding ordering pizzas over the telephone.. What has happened to Papa John's? Absolutely unacceptable.

I took my time doing a survey and received a promo code for free cheese sticks. Two weeks later, I ordered pizza online and used the code. When the driver didn’t have them he called the store and he told them they weren’t and my code should still be good for another date. Well I wanted them with my pizza. I contacted customer service and gave them the code. She searched it and said there was no promo under that code. I wish I could survey them again because it would not be positive like the one before. Wasted my time. Plus my pizza wasn’t sealed with a sticker on it.

The Easton Road Papa John's in Abington, PA is a filthy disaster. Weeds grow up to 5 feet tall surrounding the entire property. Large dumpsters in the lot remain open day and night. This property is a health hazard that breeds rats.

I placed a $200 order 3 hours in advance and expected the food to be delivered at 1830. At 1845 I called and received an automated response. I chose the option to speak to a manager, but the phone kept ringing. My wife called and received the same outcome. I then decided to drive to the location since my calls were not being answered. When I got to the Papa John’s location, I explained my situation about when I expected the order, and the issue with their answering system. They did not address the lateness or the my concern that they were not answering calls. They just told me that I just missed the delivery driver. This means that they began delivering my order 30 minutes late. It arrived at my house 45 minutes late. I also gave a 20 percent tip when I placed my order. This order did not deserve a $25 tip. This is poor customer service.

I made a big purchase in Danville, Il. for a wedding rehearsal dinner. It was the worst meal I have ever purchased. I understand it was a large order, but they should have found a way to keep the pizzas warm. They were very dry-looking and cold, this was neglect on their part. The breadsticks were burnt and hard. We threw out 3 boxes and we had plenty of leftovers. I have reached out to Papa John's via email and I received a free order of cheese sticks for a $267 bill. Papa John's is a carryout company and should find ways to keep their products warm. They also told me to reach out to local management and were told there was nothing they could do. I would have to call corporate. I do not recommend ordering a big order.

I placed an order through the app, for a Philly cheese steak and pepperoni pizzas. I work in West Knoxville, so it was convenient leaving work and head home to south knoxville. Mind you 5 o'clock traffic. I get home and I have someone else's order. Papa John's is my favorite pizza place and don't get to get it a lot. I placed an order for my warehouse on Oct 2 from store 4573. It was supposed to be delivered by 11:45am. We received it at 1:10pm. The delivery guy was more upset than the store was. Then the pizza and the garlic sticks were horrible. I took pictures (see below) to show the GM of the store however I cannot reach them. We received a pizza that we did not order. We specifically ordered online "The works" with light sauce and 1/2 pizza without black olives, mushrooms and onions. The pizza we received was "The Works" with all ingredients. Not what we ordered. So I called and the young lady I spoke with said if we order online there is nothing they can do about it. I'm a long time customer in North Port, Florida. Normally I order from my pizza from North Port but due to nonconsistency and poor quality I decided to go further out of my way to a nearby town Englewood to get my pizza. At first they were excellent but now they too are poor quality and don't consistently make their pizzas correctly or as ordered. What does it take to get a pizza as ordered and have it be the same each time it's ordered? Very frustrating and unprofessional. I'm not even mentioning the attitude when ordering at the site. I have been conned by Papa John's marketing saying if you purchase >$20 then you can get a free 1 topping medium pizza. First thing that was not great is I had a coupon for 50% off the ENTIRE order. When I put the code in online it would only give it to me for one menu item and I reread and had my husband read the coupon it was supposed to indeed be for 50% off your ENTIRE order not just one item. Second I got two orders of their bread sticks and it says 10 in each online, when I got them both boxes only had 8 pieces. Third and final complaint was I got pineapple on my pizza and there was literally only one or two pieces of pineapple per piece of pizza. I was definitely not happy at all.

Normally I don’t have a problem with Papa John’s but this last time was not good. At approximately 3:15 pm on August 15th I placed an order. Eventually I get a text that my pizza was delivered but it was not. 1 I was by the door where I let them know to leave. 2nd I had stray cats hanging around and they run anytime anyone comes by the house. Called them and they questioned the person who of course was going to say they dropped it off at the right place. I even checked the other door and NO pizza. So they say they are going to make me another pizza. Which is OK except now I had to wait 2 times as long. I see I missed a call 10 minutes ago. It was papa John’s to tell me one of the toppings they do not have. No problem. I get told the pizza was already in the oven, OK. After a long time I call them and guess what, they apologize something went wrong and they are going to make me ANOTHER one. Now I’m getting hungry.
So 3:15 becomes after 6 pm that I get a pizza that they say I will not have to pay for since it was their mistake. Next day I have a charge for Papa john's on my card. I call them and they say it will get fixed. Days later I call again, oh, the other person made a mistake and he will process the refund right then and there. Over one week later and NO Refund! So guess what I just ordered pizza and it was not Papa John’s.

This was just a disappointment. I live 30mi away and drove there for Pizzia and my daughter wanted BBQ wings. What she got needless to say looked nothing remotely like menu. It looked like some dollar store chicken nuggets with a squirt of BBQ sauce. It was not enough sauce to toss them in. I ordered my pizza online to for curbside pick up on 8/7/2024 at the Indian Head Hwy store in Oxon Hill MD. I paid online and when I arrived I notified them I was waiting. I waited for about 10 minutes and no one came to my car. I called the store to ask them if they forgot about me. Someone picked up and said "Hello," I asked them if this was Papa John’s and they said yes. It was laughing in the background. I decided to just go in inside to get my pizza.
As I was walking towards the door a guy came out and I said I told him I notified them that I was there and waiting. He said they didn’t see get the notification. He said, "We’ll see that you tripped so I definitely didn’t have a problem bring your pizza to you." My pizza had been done and sitting for awhile so I was confused as to why no one saw that I arrived to pick up my pizza. I will never order from them again. Carryout cost too much money to be treated that way as a customer. I will not spend money there anymore. I paid online so there is no receipt.

Bad experience Frankford Road Dallas location. Ordered about 5:30 pm on June 24. Store said delivery would be 30-40 minutes. At 6:15 no order so I called location and manager was smart ** and asked if I did not listen before that doordash lost the order so he was re cooking and would deliver himself within. He arrived at 6:45 pm with the order. Never said he was sorry and just handed me the order and left. There are 50 pizza places within 5 miles of me so I will never use PJ again ever.

I rarely get carry out from anywhere.. Picked up carry out from LeMoyne pa location.. Staff were friendly. I was shocked at how small a large pizza was. 21.00 worth. It was meat lovers, however had very little meat at all, of any type. Cheese was pathetic, and large areas of puffy crust around the outside that were basically big bread sticks. I took it to my buddy's place and he was like gawd this is bad. I think we will stick to the mom and pop pizza shops from now on.

When I first became a customer of Papa Johns I was delighted. The ingredients were abundant and delicious. For years I refused to buy from anyone else. The last two purchases the pizzas were very inferior. The vegetables were very skimpy and the whole pizza was dry on one order. The last pizza was special with pickles. I ordered one as was and the other I added 3 toppings. On that one the crust was missing most ingredients and what was there was very tiny and skimpy. I never saw any sliced pickles like in picture. It was disgusting and disappointing. Please train your employees to realize someone is waiting eagerly and hungry for their meal and it makes them angry for such negligence. I have decided to try another pizza business. I’ll come back to you later to see if you have changed back to the Papa Johns I used to know.

The guy in the Monroe store (Jay) very rude on the phone. Called in my order, he had a very bad attitude. Just because I didn't understand him and had questions about the menu. It would be so awesome if Papa John's could actually hire people that really take pride in their job and the company. Stay away from the Logansport Indiana Papa John's as this store is very poor quality.

I waited 55 minutes for a cold pizza to arrive. No wonder it was cold as their tracker said it was being checked and cut for 20 minutes (aka sat in the store). It then took 20 minutes to deliver and wasn't in an insulated bag. Now waiting for a replacement. Will be bedtime before my food arrives at this rate.

This website, just like any other business website, is NOT user friendly. I type in Shaqaroni pizza, and it brings up your website of course. Then it wants to know your location, and whether or not it will be delivery or pickup. Then, when it finally gets back to the actual order, the Shaqaroni is not even an option anymore. I can't even type it in. It wants to know the crust option, and this option and it offers this or that, but not what I want. That's ok 'cause it's cheaper to go to little caesars anyway.

Ordered and paid for a large delivery today at opening time 10:05am for a birthday party. Was told delivery was set up for 11:45 am for party at noon. Called at 12:05 and was told order was missed and we would have to wait until 1:15 pm. Blown birthday party! Establishment 4401 Curry Ford Orlando. That is a great memory!

I received an order from 545 Clough Pike, Cincinnati OH, which included (2) 20oz drinks, 1 Dr Pepper and 1 Pepsi. After removing Dr Pepper from bag, immediately noticed that the screw-cap had been unsealed, and some of the soda presumably consumed. I have staged a complaint with the GM of the store, but have not received any acknowledgement of issue. Having a driver consuming a drink that is given to a customer is one of the grossest things that has happened, and is incredibly trashy. While I am grateful for a refund, an employee consuming something that's to be given to a customer is completely uncalled for.

I used to order frequently from Papa John’s. I’d pay the extra because they had higher quality… Until recently. The last few pizzas I’ve ordered were not good at all and the size got significantly smaller for what they’re still calling a large. The crust has either been overdone and crunchy hard (tasting like burnt cardboard), or it’s way underdone and raw dough just beneath the sauce and cheese. The cheese isn’t good quality anymore either and on the last one I got there was almost no cheese at all. I was so puzzled about this so I called to inquire any the chances and I was treated so horribly by two of the employees who answered the phone. One, who even claimed to be a manager (which I find hard to believe given the childish, immature, ugly way I was treated) yelled at me and said she made it herself and it was perfect and then hung up the phone on me. I tried calling back and they refused to answer, until I called with a new phone. Just unbelievable.
I then contacted corporate and was told it would be made right and I’d have a response within 48 hours… Well still no response days later. I will not be using Papa John’s again. To get terrible pizza (which could even risk my health) and such poor (very stressful) treatment, is extremely disappointing, to put it mildly. I don’t need added stress in my life when the whole point of ordering the pizza is to make life easier that day. And that’s a lot of money to pay for something so unpalatable. Papa John’s and I are breaking up.

I just can't.. I have given Papa John's another chance to get a horrible pizza.. they got the instructions wrong again! The pizza was overloaded with sauce which made it difficult to eat and worse in the taste. I could taste some weird soap taste like they don't rinse the pans. I'm so tired of paying around 50.00 to get food that taste terrible and not even done the way I asked it to be done. The managers are worthless and they are basically just stealing money from their customers by offering bad food.

I regret to say that our recent experience ordering pizza through the app was extremely disappointing. Despite placing the order at 4:30 pm and receiving a notification at 5:30 pm that it was ready for pickup, we encountered numerous delays upon arrival. Initially informed of a technical issue with the app, we were assured the pizza would be prepared shortly. However, after multiple inquiries and reassurances of imminent readiness, the pizza did not materialize until 6:35 pm, a two hour and five minutes later than expected.
Upon receipt, we found the pizza and wings to be disappointingly cold, indicating they had likely been left sitting out for an extended period. This prolonged wait and subpar quality significantly inconvenienced us, as we had guests waiting at home for over two hours. Additionally, the lack of accountability and dismissive response from the staff further compounded our dissatisfaction. Regrettably, based on this experience, we cannot recommend ordering from this establishment.

The very worst pizza and Service ever. I normally go to Pizza hut, but I recently just moved into a new apartment and decided to try Papa John's, I ordered two large pepperoni mushroom and black olive pizzas plus breadsticks and cinnamon bite dessert. I served each of my guest a slice of pizza. Each one of us fighting into the pizza and having it Rondo on the middle. This is not what you want on Super Bowl Sunday, everyone obviously was gross out, threw the pizza away and start eating the chips and dips Instead. The managers of this location Dom & Eric We’re extremely snippy and short with me. Not interested in making my experience better or making me happy, they proceeded to tell me that I only had the option of getting more of the nasty pizza delivered. I don’t know if any of you have ever had raw dough pizza but it’s pretty disgusting and leaves a horrible taste in your mouth and does not allow your taste buds to want more of the pizza..
I explained to this manager, Eric that my guess we’re about to leave and no one was going to be here to even eat the “replacement pizza” and that a replacement pizza is not what I want, nor would it be acceptable because I was grossed out at what was delivered to me earlier, I was put on hold a total of 5 to 6 times in which the very last time he came back and told me that absolutely not he could not, and would not give me a pizza credit but only could deliver more of the gross pizza. Side note, as I was on the phone with this gentleman all I could hear is horseplay going on in the background so loud that I couldn’t even hear what he was talking about because there were people In the background screwing around, laughing, loud mouthing, and being extremely disrespectful while I was on the phone trying to talk to this guy about my pizza.
He then proceeded to tell me that his system was down and put me back on hold again. He came back again on the phone and said that he again could not help me that I would have to take the nasty pizza. I then told him if your system is down, he could take my number down and in the morning have someone call me and place my account with two replacement pieces. He didn’t put me on hold again and came back on and said absolutely not. They could not do that. At that time I asked who his franchise owner was even told me that that person was named, (Brittney) at which time I asked him very kindly to have Britnee give me a call tomorrow. I asked again when Britnee would be coming in. He said that she would be at the location tomorrow. I asked many times if for sure she was going to be in and if you could please have her call me it was the most ridiculous and unprofessional situation. I’ve had in a long time and one of the many reasons I hardly ever eat Papa John's Pizza.
We will see tomorrow if this Britney will give me a call and if this Franchise owner will actually give me a credit for my pizzas. One thing that I thought was pretty odd. Is he did not even offer to credit my account back, at that time I wasn’t even asking for a refund of the money. I just wanted them to give me pizzas on another day that were actually cooked.. We will see if Papa John's franchise owner will do her best to resolve my problem.

I had issues placing my order online for delivery of Pizza, Cheese Sticks and Dipping Sauces. I called the Papa John's Store located at Middlebrook Germantown, Maryland and talked to the Store Manager about my issues. She was extremely kind, generous, meticulous and professional beyond words. She helped place my Order online to be delivered and packed all the items extremely well. I was and am very impressed by her overall professionalism, kindness and patience. Delivery was bang on target. I forgot the name of the Delivery man but he too was very kind and courteous.
I am writing this review to commend and give my gratitude and kudos to Ms. **, the Store Manager located at 11522 Middlebrook Road, Germantown, MD 20876 for all her efforts and kindness and for the Delivery man who delivered my Pizza and other items way before the time I was told it was delivered. Went to Papa John's to pickup my order of breadsticks. While waiting in the restaurant for my order I noticed an older man behind the counter spitting in a trash can. He then wiped his mouth with his bare hands and walked over and started to touch the boxes with the finished products. He then proceeded to open my or and put his dirty fingers on the breadsticks. He then closed the box and brought the food over to me and tried to give it to me. I told him that was very disgusting what he did and I will never order food from Papa John's anymore. The health department need to investigate that place. Disgusting.

I was so very dissatisfied with the customer service from this Papa John's location on Main St in Lebanon TN. The management team in this location are the worst. They argue with the customer as well as being really rude when I wanted my food a certain way in which I was used to at many other locations who had no problem with the specifics. This particular manager named Sarah decided to get into a power struggle with me stating "We are not going to abuse our products just to suit you". This is the customer service I received at this location.

So I ordered an Alfredo papa bowl. I was asked to pick cheese and sauce. While I know the description never mentioned pasta, it seemed like a given (to me). What I got was a smallish, disgusting tray full of melted cheese, tomatoes, onions (almost raw), spinach, and mushrooms. It looked like someone vomited up their pizza.

We ordered pizza from Papa John's at 5814 Nolensville Pike Nashville TN. On 12-10-2023. The pizza arrived cold and missing the side sauce cups. The driver stated that they were in his car. He handed me the receipt to sign while he went back to his car. I had already tipped and signed when he said he had to go back to the store to get the sauce cups. No big deal. When he arrived back the bag smelled like cigarette smoke.
When I checked the account the pizza was ordered on the amount that came out was incorrect. 5 more dollars was deducted than it should have been. I called the store and asked to review the purchase. The manager pulled my order up and stated that there was a 10 dollar tip instead of 5. She stated she could not refund the tip but refunded 5 from the store funds (pizza cost). I also called and made a report through the 1-800 # I have not heard anything else from this store regarding this situation. I am concerned that I am not the only one this has been done to.

I ordered a pizza at 6 pm. At around 7:30 we looked outside and noticed the pizza sitting in the rain. They never rang the door bell or knocked. Our dog would have barked like crazy if they did. Anyway....called to get help. I must have been transferred to their 800 number in a different country. They sent me to the store on Enyart and Montgomery Rd. I ordered the pizza from. I told them the story and they sent me a new pizza. About 9pm the pizza was still not here? I called again and got the same manager. She said she sent a pizza, it was her fault she sent it to a different person. Not us and despite searching for our order she could not find it and questioned whether or not we were trying to get a free pizza. She refused to refund us and basically told me to call the Goshen Store.
The Goshen manager told me they don't even deliver to our home or neighborhood to call the other store back. Different franchise and she couldn't help me. Unbelievably poor customer service. I will drop the pizza off with a note on their porch in the morning for them to evaluate. Never order from Papa John's. I should have read their reviews before I ordered the pizza.

I order a pizza a pizza before the store opened at 10:00 to be delivered at 10:45 for my guys at work. I gave them the address at 10:50. We still had no delivery I called. They said the guy on his way. He had multiple deliveries. This store is 3 min from my place of business. Not only was the driver late we watched the driver go pass. I called again. The manager or whoever answered the phone seem like he didn’t care. So my guys missed their lunch because of poor service. I will never order from this place ever again. If you can’t get an ordered delivered on time don’t accept the order. That’s bad business. I’ll never recommend this place to nobody.

Tried to order delivery from Papa John's. My order was $14+tax... Then they added a delivery fee of $3. Then they added a service fee of $2. I called their corporate office and they said it was a store thing. I then called the store and they said it was a corporate thing. I clicked on the (i) next to service fee and it says to compensate for technology and other things. The local store says it's a delivery fee. I'm not sure when you changed your crust to premade Little Caesars type crust. Horrible and boring. Better ingredients? I use to love your pizza. Now I know why nobody wants it when I suggest it. Last weekend I tried again to order pizza online. Mistake! Apparently, every time Papa John's "updates" (sic) their website, there is a strong probability (not possibility) they will screw it up. I was logged in. I liked at the Specials. I put together an order. Just like in the past. So far, so good. Then, just like so often in the past, the website will not place the order. No matter what I tried, I was always taken back to the same screen, "Review Order", with no way to get past that point. Oh, I could go back but I was always taken to "Review Order".
Well I found the solution: Take my business elsewhere! Do recommend Papa John's? Not anymore! It is easier to go to any of the dozen or so other pizza stores. Oh, and just try to contact Papa John's corporate. Well hidden. Unless you have an order number (yeah, just try to place an actual order) so they can send you to the local store. BTW, this is NOT an individual store problem. This is a "www.papajohns.com" problem.

After 45 min wait we receive 3 boxes not even ours. Completely diff address. Not even our street name or number. When called store the customer with the address the pizzas showed up for was on the other line, they probably had our order. Spoke to Manager. Would be another hr to get our order. Should be at no charge since PJ screw up. We did not keep the pizzas since not our order. Manager offers free dessert. What?! Asked for GM name & #. Mngr says can't give out info. Requested to cancel order credit payment. Will never order from you again! What awful service.

I called when I arrived asking if they could please bring my pizza out to my car. I was right in front of the restaurant. They told me they don't offer that service and I asked them if they could please just be nice and bring it so I don't have to get my daughter in and out of her car seat. He still said no ... When I mentioned it to the lady inside, she said they're not staffed for that... There was a MINIMUM of SEVEN people in that store at the moment and not one of them could find 10 seconds to provide an ounce of customer service? Just wow! Will not make the mistake of spending my money here again.

To start with extra large is 18 or 20 inch diameter if it is a New York style pizza. The dough was kind of tough and not at all crispy and completely tasteless. The sauce also lacked herbs and spices. Even with the $4.50 discount, it was too much money. We ordered pepperoni and Canadian bacon and somehow we also got pineapple for free. But that did not save the pizza flavor. We used to buy Papa John's two to three times a week but then they raise the prices and hadn't had it for a while. Despite the claim that the CEO saying they haven't changed the recipe the quality is just not what it used to be! They've definitely gone to a cheaper dough mix. That was definitely a change!
We can get better pizza at half the price from a little pizzeria a couple miles down the road. My partner says and I agree that it's scary to say that Sam's Club and Costco make better pizza than Papa John's! And Costco's pizza is salty and greasy, but at least it has flavor! When want a New York style pizza we will go across town to a place that really makes New York style pizza, it's less expensive and the 20-in diameter.

A Papa John (employee #1) employee driving a black 4 Dr. Nissan Sentra vehicle displaying a Papa John's sign on top of his vehicle almost hit my car due to lack of patience. I stopped at an intersection waiting for ongoing traffic on my right to clear. As I proceeded to turn right the impatient Papa John employee speeded around my car and almost caused an accident missing my car by an inch. I blew my horn at him and he yelled profanity language at me. I noticed his Papa John logo on the top of his car and followed him to the Papa John located at 5860 Kingstowne Center, Alexandria, VA 22315. I wanted to address this matter with his manager and share his reckless driving skills while he exhibited a Papa John's logo sign on his car.
While I was walking to the door I seen employee #1 walk out the store and entered another store two doors down from his store. I entered Papa John's store and politely asked employee #2 for employee #1 name and to speak to his manager. Employee #2 walked towards the back of the store and began speaking to someone sitting in a room, which he said was the manager. Employee #1 entered the store and quickly walked to the manager's office door while waving his hands and began conversing to the manager. Later he walked away from the office door. I never got a chance to address the manager about employee #1 reckless driving, because she refused to come out her office and talk to me. At this point, they were all ignoring that I was still standing at the counter.
I saw employee #2 hiding behind the racks and I call out to him. I asked him, "Is the manager coming out to talk to me, because I want to place a complaint?" Employee #2 appeared embarrass and said no. I asked for the manager's name and he told me the manager's name is written on the outside of the entrance door. The manager's name is **. The only good thing that happened in these chains of poor events is that employee #2 was super polite, approachable, and professional. Thanks employee #2! Too bad I can't say the same for employee #1 and manager **.

I plan to contact Rob Lynch and inform him about the reckless driver that you excused his bad behavior instead of holding him accountable. We as senior citizens are people too. I had difficulty making my order on the app. I don't like giving my card number over the phone because I don't trust people. I ended up calling to cancel and reordering then paying by card. The male that was on the phone acted as if he couldn't hear and kept in asking me for my card number at least 4 times. I said that's why I don't like ordering over the phone.
I gave a tip to the delivery driver. He had to he dropped my order. The topping were all on the sides of the box and the garlic sauce was open and spilled all on the bottom of the pizza. These people don't care then when you raise hell about how your food is made. They want to record you and call you a Karen. Just ridiculous. Mind you, I've order from them before. I didn't want bacon on my pizza. The lady goes right ahead and put bacon on my pizza. She said, "Well there's two different kinds of bacon." Bacon is bacon to me. I'm like, "Lady I didn't want any bacon on the pizza. Stop with the foolishness."

I placed an order online, when finished it told me delivery would be in 30 minutes. I live 1/2 mile away from the store. I was watching the tracking of the order online. It took them 40 minutes to prepare the order, before it showed it was out for delivery. After 20 another minutes I called (The Colony Store), spoke with Shawn, (GM), he said he only had one driver, traffic was bad in The Colony and there was nothing he would do to make it better! I received my order one hour fifteen minutes after I placed it. It was not hot after being in delivery car for 40 minutes. I have tried to contact Papa John's about this, no one will contact me.

I went to this Papa John's on 1/31 at around 8:20 to pick up my "Drive Up" order. When I arrived I drove around to the drive through on the side of the building. It was then that I realized the car in the "drive thru" was parked, and I was effectively blocked in due to the brick wall on one side and the building on the other. I got out to go inside to pick up my "drive up" order and see if the car belonged to one of the employees and if they could move it so that I could leave. The employee at the counter seemed to be annoyed by my question and hesitantly walked to the back. When he returned, he told me the car belonged to someone that was unpacking the truck and that it would "take a while". He then proceeded to assist another customer in the store. I left the store to retrieve my phone and contact someone for help.
As I was outside the guy who I'm assuming was the owner of the car emerged from the back of the building and yelled to me that I was trespassing and that he wasn't moving the car and that I could call the police and they would tell me the same. I was flabbergasted. At this point, I just wanted to leave, forget the food. I went back in the store about 3 or 4 more times begging someone to move the car so that I could leave. I was met with disregard and told that "I'm busy" by one of the employees. In my desperation I flagged down a customer coming to pick up his food.
He offered to help me try to back up my car around the brick corner and behind the building. At that point 25 minutes later the employee comes out and begrudgingly speeds off as he moves his car. Suffice to say, I did not get my food and I will never step foot in this establishment again. I prefer Cugino Forno for pizza anyway. Check them out if you're in the mood for real pizza. This place is trash!

Papa John's used to be good in the 90s and 2000s. Now it's horrible. The shaqaroni is supposed to have extra cheese and pepperoni. It's pathetic how much their standards have been lowered. Will never go again. Marcos is the best now. They actually get your order right and the pizza is hot with a lot of cheese and you don't even have to ask for extra, it's already there. Come on PJs. Worst service....still.... I ordered a Shaq-a-Roni pizza and they put the wrong crust on it and the other pizza wrong size! When I called to speak to RUDE manager she told me she can replace my order but it'll be 2.5-3 hrs. WTF! I stopped ordering from them about 10 years ago for this very same reason and they have not change the type of Staff they hire. I would think Papa John's Pizza wouldn't allow that. I'm posting on all social media sites that I can think of. She REALLY need to be terminated from the Brown Deer location in Wisconsin.

I ordered a couple pizzas on- line for delivery at 6 pm. This order was placed 3 hours before the requested delivery time. I waited until 6:45pm and then tried to call the store. There was no way to talk to a person, all I got was prerecorded promos. I called back 5 times and finally got through to a snotty woman who refused to acknowledge that the pizza was late. She gave me a mountain of excuses and told me I'd have to wait another full hour before I got my pizza. Why does PJs offer scheduled delivery if they can't provide that service? The woman was extremely rude and told me I'd just have to wait since they hadn't even scheduled making the pizza yet.

My daughter ordered online for pizza tonight. She ordered me a gluten free pizza. It was wheat and had a stale taste. I did NOT like at all, Very dissatisfied. And the cost was $14.00 for a SMALL PIZZA, really!!!!. Never again. Our order number was #**, Bowie Maryland.

I put in my order. Hour and a half I received notification that my food was delivered which was not true. I called the the front desk person and the manager told them the situation. They saying the driver said they rung my door bell, knocked on my door. I said, "That's not true because I'm sitting here by the door and I have a Ring so that's a lie." I got my money back and negotiate with the manager to remake the order and deliver it with different driver and my food never came. It's a good thing that I had packs of ramen noodles to feed my kids.

I ordered A LG thin crust with 3 toppings a garlic sauce and was charged for the sauce and I didn't receive sauce. Pizza sauce terrible. I hardly had any Canadian bacon. The pizza was dry and expensive. I won't order again.

Papa John's is charging customers for basic condiments.. 25 cents for red pepper packs, 54 cents for Garlic sauce.. paper plates and Napkins.. I believe this is only in certain Areas “Hood” because I’ve never experienced this before.. I need answers!

It's really annoying when the call center mess up your order EVERYTIME you order from here. The representatives cut you off when you're trying to customize your order (which is probably why they get the order wrong in the first place). And I don't appreciate the word play asking, "If you'd like garlic dipping sauce with your order?" Of course I want the garlic dipping sauce that comes with my pizza! BUT NO....NO I DO NOT WANT TO PURCHASE AN EXTRA GARLIC DIPPING SAUCE!!! And here's a tip for customers, ALWAYS ask the representative to find you a special to lower the price of your order. $33 FOR 1 LARGE 1 TOPPING PIZZA AND A 10 INCH CHEESY BREAD??? (10 inch is the small option. 12 inch is the bigger option.) And that's carryout price. Stop being so greedy and rude are my requests and suggestions on how you can improve. Thanks.

Papa John's was my favorite 15 years ago. I ordered at least one per month. Somewhere along the way, something changed so I quit ordering Papa John's. I've gotten 2 pizzas in the last year to give them a couple more chances. Both were inedible. The crust is now a weird hybrid of thin, tough, and spongy, and the bottom of the crust is orangish brown. (OMG! Why? What is that?) Toppings are also much fewer than before. If I order a topping I expect more than 5 pieces of that topping on the pizza. Sorry papa. I'm completely done with you now. Your pizza is too gross to purchase. It's not worth $2.99 let alone $16.99! Even Totino's is better.

Ordered 1 large thin crust pepperoni and hamburger and an order of wings. I think I got sparrow wings because they were so small for $11.99. I should have ordered a cheese pizza, where's the meat. There is more meat on a convenience store pizza. The only thing good was the liter of Pepsi. Papa's really has gone downhill.

Online ordering was easy. The products however were of such poor quality the majority ended up in the garbage. It was obvious that one pizza was not freshly baked. It was a Tuscan 6 cheese pizza. Dry crust that was likely reheated. Terrible! The other pizza was a pepperoni and sausage 6 cheese pizza. Sausage tasted stale. The entire pizza was so greasy that everything just slid right off when you tried to pick up a slice. None of us could even finish a piece. The place was closed so I was unable to call and make a complaint. I just cut my losses, put them in the garbage, and prayed none of us would be sick from what we had eaten. Never again will Papa John's get any of my money. If this is what their products have become I don't see them lasting in the overcrowded pizza marketing world. There are just too many other better choices to purchase from. This little pizza disaster happened 03/13/2022.

I order my style pizza. I’m from NYC so I wanted to try it. They gave me old pizza that allegedly just came out the oven and was not even hot. The toppings were scant and were falling off the pizza because they threw toppings on top of old cheese pizza. It was ready in 5 min, that was the first clue. It also tasted terrible with very little CHEESE. This is an insult to use NY name for this mess. I would like my refund.

This happened a while ago now but here it goes. I ordered a largge pizza from them and this was a delivery I paid with cash. Now I don't buy pop from them because it is expensive. I live beside a dollar store. Back to the review the driver said he had no money and had to go to the store to get money so I waited. 20 minutes goes by and still nothing so I called the store and was told the driver was on his way with another delivery and will drop the money off then ps he didn't. Ten more minutes goes by and still nothing so I call again and am told the same thing. He is on another delivery and will drop it off then. At this time 45 minutes goes by and I'm pissed so my dad came to my room and said, "Give me your phone" so I do. He calls the store up and threatened to call the police and have the driver arrested for theft if he is not here in 5 minutes. That driver got there so fast. He got there in a minute flat, tried to apologize but I told him to shut up.
There is no reason to steal a tip of a loyal customer. Will never order again. This is what Papa John's is now. Stupid scammers who need to just quit. I used to work there and the pizza before was so good. The crust was perfect size. It was not flat like it is now. Fix your ** or the store we all used to love will go under. STOP SCAMMING THE CUSTOMERS. DELIVERY IS NOT A EXCUSE FOR YOU TO STEAL TIPS OFF OF CUSTOMERS. GROW UP.

I have been enjoying Papa John's pizza for better than 20 years and I loved eating their pizza. On 02/20/2022 I decided to surprise my wife who loves Papa John's as much as I do with pizza. I took one bite of the pizza and I did not finish eating the piece. I got the Pizza from the Papa John's in College Station, Tx. Off Rock Prairie Road. I wish the recipe would not have changed.

We ordered the New York style with pepperoni, mushrooms and extra cheese. We chose carry-out. The pizza was cold and the crust was old and stale. It was so stale, the crust couldn't even be sliced all the way through. There were only 2 pepperonis on each slice and I counted eight mushroom pieces on the entire pie. Never again, Papa John's!!!

Ordered a cheese and tomato pizza with onion and pineapple for my vegetarian daughter. Pizza arrived with ham on it!! The lady on the phone said she would correct the mistake and get another one out to me but didn’t really understand the seriousness of sending out a meat pizza to a vegetarian. The meat eaters in the house do not eat pork - so the error was a BIG mistake!! Funny thing is - this is the second time it’s happened. I’ve put a complaint in to the manager who was not on duty at that time and I was told that I would get a call regarding my complaint. Let’s see if they bother!

Updated on 01/01/2021: The day after my horrible experience with Papa John's, I reached out to the customer service department informed them of what happened. I was told they would contact me regarding, 10 days later I still haven't heard anything from them. They suck too.
Original: I waited 4 hrs for my order that I still did not receive, after calling spoke with store manager who asked me what was my point after I informed him of how long I had waited and if I could get compensated for the wait time. I was furious. Will NEVER order anything from them again. And recommend my my family and friends not to do the same.

I have ordered from Papa John's for some time now, seems each time the prepared pizza gets worse and worse. Why aren’t the people who prepare the pizza shown how to properly put one together? They throw the ingredients in piles. Sometimes you get what you ask for. Most of the time not. From now on I will make my own and try to promote families to get their children involved in the making one from their home. This allow families to come together once or twice a week, something they will start looking forward to. Families need to start doing things together at home more often, it gives the children a sense of feeling complete and confident in their lives. I hope people who read this can get the message I am trying to send.

I am a caregiver to two disabled ladies. They love Papa John’s so I order it for them once a week usually on Fridays from the Georgetown Road location in Indianapolis. The ladies I care for do not own debit cards so they pay for everything with cash. I am diligent on obtaining receipts for the ladies for their records. The last three times I have ordered from the Georgetown Road location, I’ve paid cash in the first two times. They claim the receipt printer is not working so they were unable to give receipts. I noticed on my app I did not receive my papa rewards points. Upon calling I was informed the order was canceled. I paid cash for both orders.
This last time I visited was December 14. Again I paid cash and received my order and left. I received a receipt and I have proof of purchase. The employees once again canceled my order so I have not been receiving any of my papa‘s rewards points because the employees are canceling cash orders to keep the cash and make it look like the customers are canceling their orders or getting orders for free. I called the store and the manager refuses to call me back. I called corporate and they were less than helpful.
I will not be returning to this location. The employees are thieves and if this is the way Papa John’s does business I will take my business elsewhere. How incredibly deceitful take people's money and not give them rewards points for the program they are enrolled in. Shame on you Papa John’s. I will be taking their business to Domino's and I will let everyone in this area know what’s going on at that location.

2 hours and 45 minutes delivery time!!! We only live about 2 miles from their The manager Mick or Nick kept assuring us the delivery person was 5 minutes away. They always say the driver couldn't find our address and tried to call but no one answered, lies, no one called our phones and they have delivered to our home numerous times! So almost 3 hrs later when the pizzas showed up, we turned down their "free pizzas" offer and sent the pizzas back. Our kids were so hungry by 9pm, we had to find other means for dinner. We will never use Papa John's again. Management needs to do something! There are numerous other reviews from customers with same complaints. The location was the one on Military Highway at George Washington Highway.

I ordered from our local Papa John's Pizza and the next day I received a survey to complete online. I completed the survey and was sent a promo code for a free papadias to use on my next online order for filling out the survey. When I tried to use the coupon promo code on my next order I got an error message saying that the promo code was not valid so I called customer service and they told me that the code was not valid at my Papa John's as they did not participate in that promotion. Why sent me the survey and the promo code that was not valid??? WASTE OF TIME!!!

I'm a DoorDash driver who was assigned two simultaneous Papa John's deliveries last night. Neither of the dashes showed that the customer gave a tip. However one of the customers told me he did when he ordered online, and the other pizza order went to a very friendly, wealthy family who I suspect also left a tip online. I just think it is flat out evil that one of these companies is keeping the tip money and lining their own pockets with it, while the poor driver gets ripped off. I just needed to write this so that you people who order pizzas and let Papa John's use DoorDash to deliver them know what is going on with your money!!

The other day I ordered a pizza and there was an issue with the system (was probably user error), and the incorrect order was delivered to me. Once I realized it was wrong the delivery guy gone, and I had to contact the store directly. A guy named Matt answer the phone and was very pleasant and empathetic to my situation. Now this was not my first encounter with someone from this particular Papa John's, so I was expecting a tug of war match. I was very surprised to hear that it was not a big deal and Matt was going to have a pizza over as soon as he found a driver. This was something that I greatly appreciated considering I have had bad experiences before, so I just wanted to take the time and share this experience I had with Matt. Thanks Matt, you rock!

I ordered a cheese pizza with pineapples and found meat in my pizza. This is the second time this has the same store location on state street in Perth Amboy, NJ. I have special religious diet restrictions and I don't eat pork and both times pork was found in the pizza and all the manager can do is apologize. This is not acceptable. This is a serious matter that should not be taken lightly. The manager never does anything. How does pork end up in a pineapple cheese pizza? How do you make the same mistake twice to the same people? Sounds like maybe a lawyer needs to be involved.

The Xenia Ohio Papa John's pizza location is horrible! I placed online an order for a X-large pizza in which I paid for with my debit card. Papa John's called me and said they are out of large and x large pizza dough. They would refund me in 5 days. Yeah right. It’s 9:30 at night and we are starving. She didn’t offer anything else. I told her to call the supervisor and have her call me. Then the girl who says she’s the manager calls me back and tells me her supervisor is on the way with the dough and I would have my pizza by 11PM. 10:30 comes around and I call to find out when our pizza would be here. They then tell me they already refunded me the money and if I wanted a new pizza I had to order a new one. So unprofessional. No compensation, no discount for the inconvenience nothing. I also forgot to mention that the first “manager” literally hung up the phone when I told her that we should have as many small pizza dough that they did have in stock that would be equal to a x large at the same price. I will never order from here again!!! They are miserable at customer service!!!!

I ordered my pizzas via the app. then tracking advised it would take over 2 hours to receive. I couldn't cancel the order myself through my account nor my email. So I called the store multiple times in which they would answer, then hang up or send me to a recording. I had to google the 800# & they still couldn't cancel my order. They stated they will email the store for my refund which someone will get in contact with me with 4-8 hours. SMH

Called in an order for a large cheese pizza and a gluten-free pizza. Became sick almost immediately after finishing my pizza. Called the store to speak with the manager thinking he would know that he was selling pizzas that weren’t really gluten-free that happened handled in properly and he told me that they weren’t gluten-free and then he proceeded to hang up on me. The location is on Robert Smalls Parkway in Beaufort South Carolina.

Ok what the heck happened to the sauce? Tastes like tomato sauce out of a can! Also the cut was way off - 2 small pieces and others cut totally uneven. It took 75 minutes to bring my pizza 2 miles from West Covina to Covina!!!! I used to buy Papa John’s but after this experience, never again.

This is a painful review to write. I have been a customer of the Papa John's in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA for many years. Due to poor handwashing practices, I stopped going to this location and started visiting the Papa John's El Toro Rd in Lake Forest, CA. Customer Service is fantastic and my pizza is typically made exactly how I order. On one occasion, I saw a live cockroach walk across the floor and crawl up the wall on the right side near the drink refrigerator. I pointed it out to the manager on duty who told me it must have walked in from outside. This caused me to stop going to this location for 4 months or so. During that time, I went to Papa John's in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA again. It looked like much of the staff had changed during my absence and their handwashing practices improved greatly.
On the one time I returned to Papa John's on El Toro Rd in Lake Forest, CA, I noticed a dead bug on the side of the freezer closest to the door. I did not point it out, however, I permanently stopped going to this location. I returned to Papa John's in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA up until 1 day prior to their permanent closing. On that visit, the food was cooked perfectly, however, the BBQ sauce they provided was expired - by more than 1 month. I did not realize it until we got home, ate a few poppers, and immediately knew something didn't taste right. I called the store and spoke with the Manager. They were polite and offered to have the General Manager call me back. They never called and the store closed permanently the next day.
I called the Papa John's on El Toro Rd in Lake Forest, CA and confirmed the Owner of both locations was the same. I asked the Assistant Manager of this location to have the Owner call me back. I shared my phone number was told I would get a call in a day or two. After two days, I called back and was told they were not authorized to replace the order. I again asked for the Owner to call me back. The Assistant Manager said they would call him immediately. About 20 minutes later, I called the store and was told the Owner would not be calling me back. I looked up recent health inspections and discovered the Owner's name is Sanjeev ** of OC Capital Group, called their cell phone, and left a message. They have not returned my call. Any Owner who refuses to discuss a legitimate customer complaint doesn't deserve to have my business.

This was by far the worst fast food experience I have had in my entire life. The manager on duty at the Lakewood office, Shauntel, Was very rude to me and actually hung up on me while I was still talking. From reading other reviews she is nasty to other customers as well. I ordered my pizza at 7:26 PM via the call center. I informed the call center that they could look me up at my previous phone number. I gave the call center my new contact information. The call center was able to look at my information that contain my old phone number and my current email address along with my old address. I discuss with the call center my new address. I was told that my pizza will arrive within 45 to 50 minutes. Normally when I place a Papa John’s order I get a confirmation email sent to me. This time I did not. I ordered over $30 worth of things to feed my family.
At 8:48 PM I called a local Lakewood Papa John’s and inquired where my delivery was. I was put on hold for about two minutes. The gentleman who answered the phone stated “my manager told me to tell you that the driver didn’t have the gate code and they tried to call me but the number was disconnected.” I explain to the gentleman that I live in a parking lot with many entrances and exits. There is no gate code. When you GPS my address on Siri or Google it literally shows a shopping lot. I also explained that I shared with the call center my new information. I explained to the gentleman that I also didn’t get my confirmation email and wasn’t sure that the order was even place to begin with. The gentleman asked if I wanted to speak with the manager because he only knows what she told him to say.
I waited an additional four minutes for the manager to pick up the phone. Shauntel reported to me that the driver did not have a gate code and my phone number was disconnected. I asked her what gate code she was referring to because I lived in an open parking lot and my apartment is literally right there. SHe rudely interrupted me and began to yell with the tone that her driver used his GPS and it showed that I had a gate code. I asked her if she was going to let me finish speaking or continue to interrupt me. I explain to her that I expect the same courtesy in return that I gave to her by allowing her to finish, while I silently listened. I explain to her that when you Google my address in any system it still shows the parking lot as it is a very popular area. I also explain to her the information that I gave to the call center that did not result in an email being sent to me to even confirm my order. Shauntel response was “Okay have a great night!” And hung up the phone.
I called back to get her name as I wanted to speak to someone about the way that I was just treated after I have waited over 1.5 hours for food, got no email to confirm my order, and was giving no resolution to my dilemma, and in fact was was disrespected. The lack of customer service from her was deplorable. The Young man who answered the phone told me to hold on while he got her name spelling and put the phone down. I then heard the manager yelling profanity in the background. Then she told him not to give her name.
The staff came back and reported that he wasn’t allowed to give her last name. I told him that I heard every rude thing that she said about me when he put me on hold. I told him that he had been nothing but helpful from beginning to end and I appreciated his kindness. I informed him that I would be making a report about the incident as no customer should ever be treated that way by someone who calls herself a manager. Not only was she disrespectful to me but she subjected her staff to Disgrace in her response to him.

Ordered pizza, delivery driver stated that they knocked on the door, which the main door was open but the screen shut. There was no knock. Called a manager on it and they stated the driver did indeed knock. They didn't even try to review anything. We tried to explain but the manager became very defensive and rude. Will not order again.

Placed order for large 5 topping, estimated delivery was 33-43 minutes (2:12pm). I track my order at 2:59. It's still at the store, mgr can't tell me when I will receive my order. 3:32 pm my pizza arrives via Door Dash. I can feel the pizza box is not warm, an hour and twenty minutes, $18 for cold pizza, yet another disappointing experience with Papa John's.
