DON'T USE THIS COMPANY. I opened an account and transferred some money in. I called 11 days after the transfer and asked why the funds were on hold. They told me it would be another week before the hold was lifted. I tried to log on the next day and they locked my account for no reason. I had to call them twice in this process, both times the wait was 90 minutes

I've wasted my time enough talking to incompetent people there. I had 2 consecutive claims, one was a small payout (under $2000.00 and the other was a no payout. In short I was contacted by a rude person who simply said we were going to be dropped as clients even though we were with them for about 30 years. I was rude right back to her and had to call back my representative. She told me the first girl isn't even part of her team and had no right to call. She apologized and asked for a void cheque which I sent right away. She had me fill a homeowner's questionnaire not once but twice because she could not find it. I was contacted by a male representative who agreed that we should have not been dropped and asked for another void cheque.

Lastly a third representative contacted me for yet another void cheque as they could not find the first two. Lastly I was contacted by the same rude girl who basically told me to take my business elsewhere even though three other representatives were still willing to set up a new policy and happily accept my cash. I moved on and got a cheaper rate insurance shopping with all the same coverages. What a joke this company is. No one knows what's going on, they keep you hanging like they're going to renew your policy and then some turd calls and casually tells you that you're being dropped! Stay away! They're only good if you renew the policy and have no claims.

I’ve been a loyal PC Financial customer for years, always paying my balance on time and using their services responsibly. Despite that, they suddenly closed my account without any explanation. No email, no call, no warning – just locked out. To make things worse, I had PC Optimum points I hadn’t redeemed, and now I can’t even access my online banking or mobile app to see my current balance or transaction history. That’s unacceptable and completely unprofessional.

I’ve called the credit card department multiple times, left three voicemails, and never received a response. When I contacted customer service, they simply told me they couldn’t help and that I had to call the same department that’s been ignoring me for days. This is the worst customer service experience I’ve had with any financial institution. It feels like PC Financial doesn’t care about long-time customers at all. If you're thinking of banking with them, think twice. When something goes wrong, you’re on your own.

Don't get a PC Money Account, like ever. I transferred about 3K to my PC Money account to pay my PC Financial Credit Card, big mistake. I could not move money from my PC Money account to my Credit card account, even though I had a balance of $3100. On calling the support, found out that the account was closed. OKAY so what take in money if the account was closed. The customer service reps are unable to move my money from my PC Money account to my Credit card account and now I have about $3000 stuck in my PC Money account. It's been over a month and nothing has being done by PC Financial

P.S. I am a former PC Financial employee and knew back then how terrible the customer service is, hence it was my bad judgement to use their products knowing how terrible of the service PC Financial offers.

And the statement contradicts what the website (user account) tells you. Account closed. Because it was just too much. Poor, poor service.

I wanted to book an expensive cruise for the family, and my credit limit was too low for that. I made a large prepayment on the account to avoid problems. PC Financial refused the charge, and froze my account. The customer assistance person could see the problem, but had no way to fix it. I had to wait several days for the account to be unfrozen, but the credit balance was still not available to be used for purchases. Luckily, I had another credit card that I used to pay for my cruise. I requested a refund of my credit balance, which I received after four additional days. Now I can cut up the credit card and close the account. I wish there were more ways to complain about them.

I SHOULD HAVE READ REVIEWS 1ST - if zero was an option it would be that. In 50 years I have never bounced a check or been late with a payment. In 5 days I am over 300 dollars in NSF fees, payments going out of one bank, and going back in, emails saying a 2500 transfer from my other branch wasn't successful, so I paid all bills from that other account only to have it transfer 3 days later, and cause NSF's in that account - and- then they held it for 5 business days causing further issues because no one got those payments and have the balls to say they (PC) will charge me NSF for a 125.00 car insurance payment when I have over $2900 on hold they aren't releasing.

When I called that insurance company after seeing the insufficient fund text, they said they got the payment and all was well - called PC - sat on hold for over an hour, to find out it didn't go through and they would charge me - even when I have money on hold, they took after saying it wasn't successful. Worst experience ever. I always start the year with 6 months of bills paid upfront, this year is ruined because of this bank. NOT WORTH THE STRESS. STAY AWAY. Your PC point accounts will also get messed up to the point you can't log into the account or received the email to reset a password to scan the app. There are no words to describe the stress and upset that this experience has caused. I would be happy to share our emails etc. from them that keep conflicting what is actually happening with the account....

I am disappointed with PC, I was encouraged to do a survey which they were giving a 1000 points ($1). Anyway when I started the survey the second question was my age, when I put my age in I was immediately disconnected, I call this age discrimination. I tried to go back in but was told I have already completed the survey. I use my PC card for all my spending and bills probably much more than younger people. I am considering giving PC up as my number one card.

Unbelievable. Perhaps I should have investigated reviews of PC Financial before using. This is what us little folk get when a large conglomerate becomes a monopoly - they become untouchable. Had my PC Financial card terminated yesterday. I had applied for an upgraded card last August and completely forgot about it. I never received said card.

So as a special Christmas gift the good people at PC Financial decided to make sure my security was not compromised, they would cancel the new lost card and inactivate my current cart because the new card had not been activated. If anyone can make their sense make sense, please..by all means. Needless to say, I will wait for my new card, use my points and be done with them. Thank you to Canada for allowing PC (the company as a whole deserves to go under), to stay in business and thanks for allowing them to over charge customers and just basically to be deserving the lowest pit of hell. Great job!

This service is an absolute joke! Do not sign up for the this card. They froze my account for paying my bills on time and would not unlock it without additional banking information. What's worse, they have been holding a 400$ credit for several months. After several hours on hold, and countless un returned phone calls, they will finally refund the credit. I canceled the card after 2 months of having it and they will not refund the annual fee.

This is incredible. As I write this review, they have a promotion on their official website stating 250k points if $X is spent AND first year free. Even under the 'Legal Stuff', it states clearly that a one time credit of $120 will be applied to cover the fee for their Insider credit card. It also states this credit will be applied during the same statement period as the charge. This didn't happen, so I called them. Their first customer service rep said the offer I'm mentioning is not in their system at all and the offer applied to my card doesn't include the first year free. She claimed that a similar offer was available but it was for existing customers upgrading. I ask her to go visit their website and see the offer is still there and specifically states it's for new customers. After checking with her "higher ups", she puts me on hold and throws me back to the waiting line (basically hung up on me).

I called again and this time another rep went through the same process: this offer you mention isn't in our system so we can't help you and you can downgrade your card if you'd like. It's incredible how shady this whole thing is. They still have the offer up on their website - which is what I applied for and I'm sure others are applying for. However, they are signing up everyone and sending them a credit card with a completely different offer. I'll be filing a complaint directly with FCAC.

Further stupidity to follow....I receive an email telling me my statement is ready so I log in, online, pay my balance and then I discover transactions are not in real time, as there are transactions that are not posted yet and I am not made aware. Talk about real time... Now I have an unpaid balance after what I thought was paid in full. Statements are not posting in real time. This is not sound accounting practice. Don't bother with their credit card as they are a headache to deal with. Late updates on payments and I frequently get hit with interest charges (thank goodness I never spend that much at one time before completely clearing balance). Recently was hit with several interest charges on 23 cents that wasn't fully paid off and they lowered my credit limit which affects credit score from what I understand. Recommend moving along next time they are pitching the perks for joining as they don't seem to honour them as advertised (one time award of 100K bonus points for joining not fully awarded). Cash back credit card from reputable bank is the way to go.

I don't know what to say, I'm pretty disappointed with this credit card. I've had it for about 11 years now, always made more than the minimum payments and always before the due date. My main use was at the gas pump, some online purchases and The Real Canadian Superstore. Over time I was offered credit increase and to a point made it all the way up to $14,000 limit. My balance has always been maintained and reasonably low. Everything was fine and no disruption up until about 4 months ago and got an email from PC Financial saying "We make every effort to ensure that your PC® Mastercard® meets your needs. Due to your recent account history, we have decided that a lower credit limit would better suit your requirements at this time. Your credit limit has been lowered, effective immediately."

So it was from $14,000 credit limit they lowered it to $4400 then a month later I got the same email going from $4400 to $4,000 then just a couple days ago got another email going from $4,000 down to $1,600. I don't know who's making these decisions. I'm guessing it's an AI program, at this point it's going to be so low that it's going to be useless to me so I might as well cancel it. Seems to me they punish people who make their payments and on time so I do not recommend. It has turned into a headache and who knows it could be messing with one's credit rating. This card was decent for a while but something has changed recently and at this point better off cutting it up and throwing it in the trash.

I recently obtained a supplemental card on my pc World Elite account for my daughter to travel abroad. Both my card and hers were blocked within her first day arriving in another country. No calls, texts or emails to alert us. I found out because my card was declined. I called and verified my identity and purchases. My daughter did the same. They said they could not remove the block until Head Office security reviews it in 2-3 business days. They could/would not explain why it required further review than verifying identity and purchases.

It was Friday morning so this means the cards could remain blocked until the following Wednesday. This would mean my daughter would not be able to use her card (which she needed for food and expenses) for the entirety of her trip. I said it was urgent it be resolved asap as my young daughter was in a foreign country and this card was to be used to pay for her food and expenses. They said they would mark it urgent and someone would call me that evening. Nobody called.

I called back the following day, early afternoon. Was told the same thing by the rep - that she would escalate it and someone would call me back asap. I asked her to define “asap” because I had already been told that the day before. She replied “very soon; within a few hours up to 24 hours”.?? They were already 20 hours late with my call and now it could take another 24 hours?

I asked to speak to a supervisor. 3 min later she said a supervisor could not be found. I said that’s ridiculous, there’s always a supervisor- get one. A couple minutes later a supervisor came on the phone. She said the agent the day before should not have told me I would get a call that evening and that they would give the agent more training. The supervisor acknowledged they knew my daughter was in a foreign country and that blocking her card could put her wellbeing and safety at risk. Yet no change in their plan - - card remained blocked and who knows when I will get a call to resolve. I find it curious that they keep telling me our cards were blocked when my app says “your new card is on its way”…

My guess - they cancelled our cards instead of blocking them. They know this and yet are leading me to believe the cards are just blocked and that I will receive a call to resolve and help my daughter. They know this not be true but are just “managing” me with lies to help cover the delays until I receive a call several days from now or new cards in the mail or something. Beyond disingenuous. This is intentionally deceptive even when they know they are contributing to the potential risk to the safety and wellbeing of a teenage girl in a foreign country. Despicable and incompetent.

I had a bad experience with PC Financial MC. When I tried to ask them to dispute the transaction, they were not helpful. They didn't care to resolve the problem and the customer service agent talked rudely. Sherry called me a liar and her manager Eli was ruder. They put comments in my dispute so they could reject my dispute. There’s no protection or safety on this card. TD and RBC or even Amex are best cards with peace of mind. The service to dispute a transaction is poor and hours of wait hold, disrespect and rudeness to deal with. They just made any excuse to reject the dispute by saying you have no rights and you’re stuck to pay for over charged and fraudulent charges.

So, I asked PC Financial to dispute for me and they don’t help at all. PC master card is very risky to use and keep. You’re basically not protected at all. I will just cancel PC Financial card and asked anyone I know to do so, not only they're rude, unhelpful but accuse and cause conflicts. The manger said, "Go elsewhere, our agents are firm and they can say you have no rights to dispute anything." stay safe. Stay away from PC Financial.
