They canned my credit score more than I did. They tell you don't pay your cards or loan so they can get the other company to lower amount owed. I listened, my score went from 698 to a 515. They called after seeing I can make my payments to them on time, offering me a loan program, then denied me for the loan. It was supposed to help fix my credit score, but their underwriter only offers that to certain demographics. BE CAREFUL when dealing with them.

I found JG Wentworth through an ad on social media and when I reached out for their services, I found their customer service representative to be fast and knowledgeable. The representative I spoke with made things easy for me to understand, which I really appreciated. It's been roughly three weeks since I signed up for their program, so it's still early, and I'm waiting to see how things develop before fully evaluating the service. Right now, it's too soon to say if JG Wentworth has completely met my expectations, though I'm hopeful. Based on my experience so far, if I had to rate it, I'd probably go with a three. I'm planning to see how it goes over the next few weeks.

I've been with JG Wentworth for just a month, but they've already helped me secure two settlements on my long list of bills. What impressed me the most was their flexibility. I saw JG Wentworth on Facebook, and I needed some additional debt consolidation that I could hopefully be able to get because my credit score is racked. I went from a 760 all the way to a 540 just because I've got a new baby and trying to keep up with family. I have creditors that are already hitting me up, but I have high hopes with JG Wentworth's services.
So far, I haven't interacted enough with their services to provide a solid rating; however, I'm eager to see how the company will support me going forward. I've also been meaning to get ahold of them to let them know that I recently took a layoff and times are really hard right now.

I saw JG Wentworth while I was browsing online and it’s a reputable name. My experience with their services was fairly positive, although there was one incident that left me somewhat uneasy. When I reached out with a follow-up call, the background noise from what seemed like a call center made me question the legitimacy of the office setting—it was different from the quieter, more personal environment I anticipated, raising a flag in my mind.
Despite this, I've received timely updates from them, which has helped in keeping me informed about the status of my dealings. Additionally, when working out a comfortable payment plan, I must commend Ruben for his exceptional assistance, as he was truly helpful and understanding of my needs.

I picked JG Wentworth because they seemed credible and when I initially got in contact with them, I found their offerings attractive. Unfortunately, I was hospitalized during that period and didn't get the chance to fully engage with the customer service team. Since then, I've experienced some difficulty in reaching them, as I've been unable to get someone on the phone to address my concerns. I would like to be able to talk to them because I don't think they covered all my debt.

Go with a company that actually loans you the money to pay off your debt. Your score will tank as you accrue your own money and they can’t guarantee a settlement. They never resolved one of my cards after two years and suddenly I got served papers to pay the debt that had been in consolidation with them. I had no idea they hadn’t reached an agreement. Not only did they not reach an agreement but they cost me an extra $3000 in interest that I now also have to pay. I almost had to go to court for something I thought was handled and I was paying a lot to them to be handled. Not to mention the embarrassment of the STATE POLICE showing up to my house with court papers. No communication. Terrible experience. Run from this company.

I'm at a bit of a standstill because I’m not quite sure how everything is progressing at the moment.
The portal provided for tracking hasn't yet succeeded in providing me with the clear updates I anticipated. Any questions or concerns about my progress can be challenging; I've been unable to reach James, my main contact, for about a week now.
On the bright side, the absence of harrowing calls from creditors has provided me with immense relief; mornings feel less daunting. My arrangement for twice-monthly payments is manageable, though I would prefer a lower, single monthly payment option.

They have a terrible customer service and they don't pay off when said. They lie to get your account. Their attitudes are horrible and you get diff Info. It's a mistake to go with them. You can do better than them. They don't help. They mislead. Their idea is string you aLong.

JG Wentworth is a name I recognize and I felt confident choosing them over other companies. When setting up my plan, we consolidated my outstanding bills and figured out four-month payment arrangements. The agreed payment amount seemed reasonable to me and looks like it will work out fine, though I do need to call them to sort out getting access to my dashboard and account number, as I don't have that handy information yet. Overall, based on my limited experience, I rate my satisfaction with JG Wentworth at a 4 out of 5.

My decision to work with JG Wentworth was largely due to the conversations I had with Travis, who genuinely seemed to care about helping me out of the financial bind I was in. It's been two months since I joined the program at JG Wentworth. So far, everything is going smoothly and I'm satisfied with my decision. I was completely naïve to how any of this works. I always paid my debts however the balances were so high that I had no quality of life. I enrolled in August 2024 and I was mislead to think this was a debt management program that would help me settle my debt within 4 - 6 months. I have called multiple times for updates on the negotiations that are happening my accounts and the calls get disconnected. The last time I called, the rep hung up on me. There doesn't seem to be anyone there who can describe a clear plan on how they are going to get any of the debts settled, just pay them and let all accounts go delinquent.
When I went online to check my account with JG Wentworth the site says that one of the debts was settled and they are making monthly payments, however according to my credit report pulled today it was charged off and no payments have been made. I didn't even know what a "charge off" meant until last week due to researching on my own. As of now (April 2025), none of my debts have been settled and now my credit is completely ruined.

I chose JG Wentworth because my credit score was too low for other companies to consider me for credit card consolidation. From the start, the process has been straightforward and easy to navigate. Although I'm just two payments in, the service has thus far been good. Their service quality appears strong. The approach of JG Wentworth was outstanding. They didn't offer a loan but instead put me on a repayment program, negotiating down my balances and interest rates without me having to manage the process.
In particular, I worked with someone named Connor. Initially, I was skeptical, thinking he might just be flattering me with his words. However, everything he promised turned out to be true, and his smooth manner of communication mirrored my previous experience in sales. It really was as impressive as advertised.
The quality of service I received was excellent, exceeding my expectations. I've already recommended JG Wentworth to my husband during our amicable divorce. Although we separated our finances, we were both in similar financial situations, and I trusted Connor enough to pass along his info for assistance.
Regarding pricing, there were no upfront fees. JG Wentworth negotiated their fees out of the payments to my creditors. I find them more than worth whatever they’re earning. Overall, aligning with the company felt absolutely worthwhile.

JG Wentworth is a well-known name, and I felt confident I wouldn't be ripped off. In the past, when trying to consolidate my debt, I encountered companies that attempted to take advantage of me. With JG Wentworth, I've found the program to be effective. Whenever these places try to harass me, JG Wentworth advises me not to have contact with them at all, even if they reach out through email.
Personally, I've had a good experience with JG Wentworth and feel great about the quality of service they provided, which I’d describe as excellent. I believe they met my needs well. The customer service has also been first-rate.
Overall, I would confidently recommend JG Wentworth to others based on my positive experience.

After a bit of thought, I selected JG Wentworth based on recommendations from others who mentioned it was reliable. Unfortunately, my experience hasn't matched those expectations. I haven't noticed any significant communication or action on their part regarding contacting my creditors as promised. The constant calls from creditors claiming they haven't been contacted are quite frustrating. As a result, I'm unsure if JG Wentworth is addressing my needs effectively. I've yet to experience any concrete service from them. It feels as though the agreed payments are taken without witnessing the promised debt relief efforts.

I had a couple of high-interest credit cards that needed consolidating and I've just started with JG Wentworth's program. I signed up for this program and received a letter from one creditor offering to cut about 75% of the debt owed. After much convincing, JG Wentworth instructed me NOT TO ACCEPT this offer, stating they can beat that offer. SEVERAL MONTHS LATER, I receive an email from JG Wentworth stating they have a settlement offer from that same creditor but could only cut the debt to about 45%. JG Wentworth would not offer an explanation and essentially lied to me. With the difference, I could've used that money to pay off several other debts! With the JG Wentworth fees and increasing interest fees accumulating, I am now seeking help from other debt management companies.

Save yourself the stress. Negotiate with creditors yourself. The whole experience with JG Wentworth has been an exercise in frustration. I finally canceled my service and have been waiting over a month for the money I paid in to be refunded. I've called, I've emailed, still haven't seen my money. Tried to get my email, address, and name changed for four months. It never happened. The salesman was extremely responsive and answered all my questions in the beginning. After that, goodluck getting any answers.

Stay away of JG Wentworth - SCAM Per JG - July and August of 2024 I had to skip my deposits, which caused me to be behind 3 payments RESPONSE - I had a balance at that time of over 500.00 and never missed a single payment to the creditors. My portal never showed an issue. I confirmed several times with JG that all was in order and all the way to February 2025 confirmed again all was good and 3 payments left in the program. Per JG February 2025 change in escrow payment date and due to this change, there did not have enough funds in their escrow account to make the scheduled payment to the creditors. RESPONSE - This not accurate. I had 644.00 in Escrow. Per JG This caused the settlements to break. RESPONSE - The payment change was ONE DAY. My employer changed the pay schedule from twice a month to every other Friday. I had 3 payments left with the Portal showing all is order.
I called and confirmed several times all is good and 3 payments left. Now they are stringing me along to pay more money. JG backed out of settlement with my creditors when the portal shows I always carried a balance and no payments were missed. They told me they have stopped paying the creditors and need to negotiate a new settlement with me continuing to pay them now with no end in site. Please explain how when I skipped three deposits (still had over 500.00 balance in escrow and all payments to creditors were made) 7 months later when I am almost finished paying that now JG backed out of agreed settlement and wants more money from me. I have been taken advantaged of and scammed. I have paid into this program since 2022 and all the JG fees have been paid Once the settlement agreed upon I never missed a payment to the creditors.
I had 644.00 in escrow with three more payments of 240.00 each. (1364.00) There was plenty in escrow and JG could have made the payments to my creditors. They did not stick to the original settlement and stopped paying my creditors. Once the settlements agreed upon I never missed a payment to the creditors. JG backed out after 7 months with the Portal showing all was in order taking advantage of now that we were close to the end to have me keep paying with no end in sight.

I was struggling with making my debt payments as they were too high. I reached out to JG Wentworth and working with them was very easy. I had to sign a contract with them, which clarified that while they would take responsibility for the payments, the debt would still remain in my name during the process. Ken was the person who assisted me, and everything felt very streamlined. If a friend or family member asked about my experience, I would tell them it was easy, but I would advise checking the compensation plan thoroughly and possibly comparing with other options to find the best fit for themselves.

My husband has been battling cancer, which requires regular trips to the hospital 40 miles away. The financial strain from these circumstances led us to seek help. My daughter used JG Wentworth in the past and we decided to go with them. But at this point, I'm not satisfied with the service. Despite having made my first payment and a second one scheduled, I'm still receiving daily calls from creditors. I'm finally taking a moment to contact JG Wentworth to understand the delay in them reaching out to these creditors.
Due to my husband's health, I haven't been able to focus on communicating with JG Wentworth, but that's on my to-do list today. We've been enrolled for about two months, but I haven't yet had the chance to track our progress or review the paperwork thoroughly. The enrollment process was average, and I'd rate it a 3 because I still have a lot of unanswered questions. If JG Wentworth fulfills its promises and reduces the calls from creditors, the program would positively impact our lives. However, to date, I haven't shared all the necessary information with JG Wentworth due to my focus on hospital matters. I intend to update them soon. Other than that, the customer service I've interacted with has been excellent, receiving a 5 from me.
