I went to get my little brother's glasses fixed and a lady named Michelle took 30 minutes just to screw back the glasses…and took an additional 10 minutes looking for the insurance information, which was provided to her, but still she kept stopping and asking and saying she couldn’t see it. It took me to point it out on her tablet, it was there. Horrible experience.

The staff at vision works are very friendly incompetent. I feel that your AI experience is exhausting. I was told when I arrived that the gentleman who just left the desk had a ten forty five appointment and was still waiting. My appointment was for twelve fifteen which I arrived fifteen minutes early as requested. I was immediately taken in by a lovely gentleman who did my glaucoma test and a couple of other tests and then sent back to the waiting room. This was approximately 12:20p when I was sent back. I did not see the AI examiner until 2pm. I was left alone in the room to complete the exam.

During the examination, I noticed that my left eye was very blurry. I didn't know what to do so I just continued the exam. When someone finally returned to check on me. I mentioned the blurriness in the left lens. The person told me I probably hit it with my cheek. She looked at the lens and said yes, it is smudged and then realized it was on the opposite side away from me. I then sat and waited another twenty five minutes. Waiting for the actual doctor to come on the screen. He said he wanted to recheck some things because some things didn't make sense. He proceeded to redo a portion of my exam. Which proved that my left reading was not accurate The first time.

I understand there are staff shortages. However, I do not agree that a patient should be left alone for the exam. And during the doctor's visit. I had to go find someone to come back in so that I could proceed with the Reexamination, because the doctor wanted me to do that, and there was no one there to help me. I'm not sure that I will continue as a patient with your organization.

Oh my God. Check in was not seamless. Told you to scan a thing but then nobody called you. Finally, my daughter had to sign in on sheet too. They took people who came in way after first, etc. but picking up glasses was worse even. After waiting 20 minutes or more finally a lady with red hair and ear gauges calls me and daughter up to desk at same time. Handed us our glasses and said, "How are they." We had to try them on standing at the desk. When I told her on mine the sides were sticking straight way out the back and weren't they supposed to curve over your ear she took them and came back, handed them to me and one was bent outward on left side and semi downward on the right. She never touched behind my ear to see for herself like other eye Drs. have in past (I am 70 and have had many glasses in past).

I took them off and showed her that the one at end was pointing outward not down. She took it in her hands and without warming it or anything she twisted it then gave it back saying if she angled it down anymore it would hurt my ears. She had a horrible attitude and did not "fit" our glasses on either of us and I will definitely be telling friends and anyone I can how horrible the experience was.

I just picked up my glasses from Visionworks in Temple, TX. The worker was not bad just insisted that I needed a new prescription. I explained that the prescription provided was less than a month old. The eye exam was done at another optometrist, from which I had one pair filled and they work very well. I provided the same prescription to Visionworks for a second pair glasses. However I could not read with these glasses. The associate put them on a machine to measure the strength and said that they were fine. I really dislike paying for things that I cannot use. Especially when they cost hundreds of dollars. I explained that I could see fine when looking forward but when I try to read with these glasses, everything is blurred.

She insisted that I was wrong and I need a new prescription. I have been wearing glasses for the last 30 years and know very well when something is not right. It is not in my nature to cause a scene. But for her to tell me that the glasses fit my prescription and that I needed to adjust my head to find a spot that was clear when I am reading was just crazy. I do feel that she did not understood my complaint and really did not care. She argued her point. Now I am stuck with a pair of glasses that cost me around three hundred dollars and I cannot get full use from. I am very disappointed and will never buy another pair of glasses from this store.

Visionworks – Clearwater, FL. Terrible experience. I brought my own frames after an eye exam to have new lenses installed, and the staff damaged my glasses. They refused to replace them and instead offered a lower-quality frame. After four weeks of waiting, I received glasses with an incorrect prescription and could not see properly. Completely unusable. Customer service was awful from start to finish — Unprofessional, dismissive, and no accountability. This location is poorly managed. I strongly recommend avoiding this Visionworks in Clearwater.

I went in under the guise of 'free' pair of glasses, but it became clear that I was still somehow having to pay over $300 given my eyesight needs. Ordered glasses from them with 'High Index' lenses as my prescription was pretty bad (i.e. very near-sighted), so I made sure they would give me the thinnest possible lenses - what I got was a joke. The lenses were 3x-4x thicker than the glasses I had on me, which are 15 yrs old from Lenscrafters.

The person who made the glasses (a slovenly dressed unshaven guy) swore up and down that it was because my frame was bigger... which it was not - tried to gaslight me when I held them next to each other. After arguing with him, I asked for my money back - at which point this guy threw down my paperwork and said "I don't care. I don't care". The manager who was giving me the refund heard this as well and apologized on his behalf. As I was leaving, I said to the manager, showing him my glasses, is this the best you can do - 3x-4x the thickness of a 15 yr old pair of glasses... He said he did not think they had the same technology as Lenscrafters (from 15 years ago!!). The moral of the story here is they were either lying about giving me the higher end lenses (which I paid for) or their 'technology' is truly 15 years behind... either way stay far far far away from Visionworks.

I had a great experience at Visionworks. The staff; Travis, Michelle & Dr. Marcus ere extremely friendly, professional, and accommodating. The eye exam was thorough and the optometrist and staff took their time to explain everything clearly and efficiently. They had a wide selection of eyeglasses, and the staff helped me find the perfect frames! I’m so grateful!! The entire process was personalized & very thorough! I have an astigmatism and my vision changed a bit, but I found a pair of glasses that feel so comfortable and something I can actually wear all day. I left with a great pair of frames as well as comfortable, properly fit! I highly recommend visionworks for their excellent customer service, knowledgeability, attentiveness and quality eye care!

This company first charged me for services that were already covered by my insurance, refusing to check my coverage. Then they made 2 different sets of glasses incorrectly (I purchased single vision distance and they made them with my reading rx). Finally they agreed to refund me but sent the refund to a credit card I used with them 2 years ago and is no longer an open acct (instead of sending the refund to the credit card I used to purchase them).

I called the main store to request a refund and they never called me back. Then called corporate and someone called me back to let me know they couldn't do anything else. They said I'll have to contact the closed credit card company to ask them to mail me a check for the refund they sent there incorrectly. As if that wasn't bad enough, the agent gave me a 23 digit confirmation number and would only read it out to me over the phone (I was driving when they called), as said she couldn't email it to me. Literally the most painful and ridiculous situation I have ever experienced with a large company.

Horrible customer service. I called ahead to make sure my prescription will be printed out when I picked up my contacts because I have to pay Uber $30 to go pick them up because I don't drive. They didn't do it and then later want to charge me $15 and blame me. Or I can spend another 30 on an Uber to come down there. Simply asked put a stamp on it and put it in the mail. They refuse to do it unless they gave them $15. For my prescription that I already paid for.

Why should I have to ask for my prescription to be printed out. It should be automatically done. And I specifically called for that reason to have it printed out and ready. I understand here that's why I wasn't upset that they didn't print it out. That's why I simply called and calmly ask them to just put it in the mail. The manager refused. Said it was $15 or I could come down there and pick it up. Which again would've cost me 30 Dollar Uber drive. Then blamed me. I said I was lying that I never called and asked under print out my prescription and if I had done that why. Why didn't I receive it?? Blamed me for their error and want to charge me for it. Was rude, condescending, dismissive and called me a liar.

They will not issue payment to a PO box number. I called this store to find out how to pay these. I am not going to buy stamps to mail checks. The employee repeatedly told me to call the number on the bill. I repeatedly told him I only saved the payment stub. He said he could give me the number, but he would not do it. I called back hoping to speak with a manager and he declined the call altogether. This is horrendous customer service!!

I hope the call was recorded as the greeting said it would be. This happened at 5:24 PM on 10/23/25. Easy to track who this was. Four minutes of my time trying to get a phone number to pay my bill. First Impressions Optometric Associates, LLC can contact that useless idiot and have him pay the $80.00 I owe. I certainly tried! I called to check as I had not been given any email confirmation. Lo and behold Vanessa said the email was deleted. This prompted me to contact customer service who confirmed that, UNLIKE I instructed, the glasses would be delivered to Norman, OK first before being sent to New York. This is after I had confirmed 3 or 4 times prior with Vanessa, Amy and the general manager that I needed these glasses sent directly to the location in New York due to my travel schedule. First of all, for my eye exam, I had a virtual one but was not informed of this till I got there. Since it took me a month to get the appointment, I consented to it. It was ok, but when the technician finally came on after all the other tests, she had me do some of them over like she wasn't satisfied. I picked out my glasses and had them back in a week. I wore them about a week and went back to get them exchanged. I found them too large for my face. I picked out another frame and had to pay $10.00 more for the difference in cost, which was ok. The tech agreed they were nice and petite for my face. I received my second exchanged pair about a week again. I didn't look at the actual glasses, just left after the fitting and fine tuning. What a mistake.

I realized after getting home, that they were the same frame I had before my eye test only with small diamonds on the bows. I never cared for that frame at that time and certainly would not have picked it again after what I paid. I found out that you are only allowed to change glasses once in the 100 days for your satisfaction. I asked the tech if the glasses I picked out were the ones sent in or do they just write down a number of the one picked. He verified they type the number of the frame in the computer of the one you picked out. So, they must have typed the wrong number and I am stuck with these glasses for another 2-3 years. I don't think I will go back to Visionworks again. If I do I am taking a picture of the frame and number and one of me wearing them, for my use in cased of this ever happening again. I advise you to do the same. Thank You.

The opticians, the staff who work at the stores, and their lab staff who make the glasses are very unprofessional. Originally, when I took my new prescription to get my new glasses, they said between 7 to 10 days, but now it's almost 1 month and still not ready.

I even contacted their main office and they keep telling me my glasses will be ready next week, in a few days, by the end of such and such days...in other words, they don't know what they are saying, or plain...untruthful about what they promise. This was the last time I ever visit this company. And they charged my insurance top prices for their horrible service. They are not reliable.
