I recently purchased 2 boxes of Bausch and Lomb contact lenses and was persuaded to purchase 4 boxes due to what was an alleged rebate and discount available to me on the bauschrewards.com site for BOGO. I spent a significant amount of time submitting the claim, photocopying and uploading receipts, and while waiting for word of my refund, I read every document and watched every video about eye care. Those I thought were informative and a decent customer service and I earned "tokens".
The following day I was informed with my four box purchase, I had earned 1000 points, with which --7 paragraphs later -- it was extremely complicated and cumbersome discerning how to purchase a $10 gift card with those points that would be mailed in 6 weeks. I donated the points instead and asked that my account be canceled. Seven email exchanges later and that is not completed either! I truly felt scammed and the complicated process was just a barrier to getting much of anything. Please investigate the so-called "rewards" program. Also, points can be transferred to tokens, but not tokens to points. And tokens are pretty much legalized gambling of spins with no readily available odds payout published. Someone should ask for an audit of the token spins: How many spins by how many people actually result in any "reward". Worst ever "rewards" program. It was a huge waste of breath and life. Thanks for all you do.

Every time I buy Bausch & Lomb contacts (30 day wear lenses) they tear within a week or two. The lens is so flimsy I can't even get into my eye. Also, they went up $5.00 per box and the quality of the product continues to decline. Guess this will be my last attempt with this company and I will be looking for another brand of contacts. Bausch & Lomb, what happened to you (bet just the usual corporate greed)? Your product used to be quality. Now it is just pure JUNK! Shame on you.

I think your program sucks. Recently I tried to use the ** coupon but was denied and ask to pay $206 for a vial no bigger than my thumbnail. Because I am over 65, on Medicare and have a limited income I am not eligible. However, if I am rich and paying for commercial insurance, I can get the discount OR if I am uninsured I can get the discount. The people who need it most (on Medicare) are denied. This is totally backwards. SHAME ON YOU!!!

I'm seeing so many people complain about their rebates. I'm guessing they were not done as told on the rebate form. I submitted mine exactly as prompted and it only took 8 weeks to get my rebate of the full $200. I will use them again. I got dailies this time around and was concerned because of all the negative reviews. You need to follow the directions exactly or your rebate will be invalid. I will definitely use them again. Thanks Bausch and Lomb!

I submitted a rebate at the end of August for a $200 rebate promised by my eye doctor's office. It took about 3 different tries and contacting B&L several times and talking with different people who had different stories... to find out that I had to wait 4-6 weeks for a rebate to arrive in the mail. I thought 4-6 weeks, no big deal. Well now here I am in week 6 (they processed as if 9/8/17) and still nothing. The rebate tracker still shows it as "pending." Very disappointed. $200 is a lot of money to be promised back. After reading everyone's responses here it sounds like I can say goodbye to seeing any rebate in my mailbox.

Walmart was selling AREDS2 with multi-vitamin, 100 count, online. We bought 4 bottles, never suspecting the company would put out a product with known defect, then not replace upon request. But that is what B&L will do. Neither a phone call nor written letter has gotten satisfaction, other than “take the unused bottles back to the vendor”, who, of course should bear no blame. The problem is that the soft gel caps leak! When older people take multiple doses of several medicines each day and sort them by dose into multi-dose pill boxes, a leaking soft gel will melt some kinds of pills and will make all sticky and harder to manage.
Two very polite requests to Bausch and Lomb have gotten no more than a suggestion to take unopened containers back to the seller, then send them the opened container for a refund. With 300 gel caps in unopened containers plus more in the opened one, I think the policy is wrong and the company, acknowledging they know of the problem, is far from being a top-class company like they portray themselves to be. Phooey on Bausch & Lomb. Caveat Emptor - let the buyer beware!

The optometrist glowingly promoted "$200 off" with a year's worth contact lens purchase. This isn't a price reduction as implied but a rebate process. And it does not yield a check back but only a Visa card. I submitted the online forms the same day as my purchase. Aside from scanning the eye exam form, the purchase receipt and rebate form they ask for a UPC picture. No explanation of the UPC is made. So I uploaded a photo of the 2D barcode (a square) on the product. An email came in saying they did not receive the UPC and I had to mail it in. No further explanation. The email address the rebate uses is not valid. No one is there to answer the phone. I see 116 complaints on this. How can this be allowed to go on?

Twice I have submitted all the information for a rebate, starting last year, I received my online confirmation. 8 months later I faxed the information in. I have made multiple phone calls to the 855 806-3231 number and after one such conversation with Juliet, all my information was erased from their system. Then I spoke with Keymer on 8/31/17, and he assured me someone would call within 24 to 47 hours. Never happened. My tracking number is ** but its gone now. I will never buy another product of theirs AND I will be filing a complaint with the BBB. I am not jumping thru any more hoops at this point.

Purchases were made across the USA in CA. Said would send out another card. STILL NO CARD. Called today 6.13 and told still working on the problem but should have new card within 15 business days. BUT if not received please call again. A year has passed and time to get new contacts. They will NOT be B&L if rebate is not received.

The terms and conditions of the rebate are meant to woo you into purchasing their product and then invalidate your rebate. The online system accepted my rebate documents and so I thought I was done. Then I got an email stating that the documents had invalid dates so I called. The rep informed me that, although my purchase date was within the terms because my eye exam date was over 60 days prior that I was unable to receive the rebate. My prescription was still valid, so what is the point of this? To dupe you into purchasing the product and think of any way to not fulfill the offer. That's my take on it. Looks like many others have had a similar experience. I will not purchase this brand again. This measly $60 they saved has lost them a lifetime daily contact lens-wearing customer.

I'm shocked to know that so many people have had problems with B+L rebates. This company is the worst I have ever dealt with. I generally buy my contacts from Costco where if applicable, I will get my rebate instantly. This time my doctor convinced me to buy from B+L and told me the type of contacts I was ordering would pay me $100-110 dollars back. I submitted all the required data on Nov 16-2016 and the system didn't complain of anything missing. Upon submission, I found that my rebate would be only $95 (shock #1). After nearly 8 weeks I was curious to know the status of my rebate and visited the website to only find that I was missing the UPC code; I never received any email from that company requesting the missing info!!!! (shock #2)
Immediately the next day (Jan 9, 2017) I submitted the pictures of all my boxes and promptly followed up via phone with a customer service agent who acknowledged receipt and assured that I should receive my card in 6-8 weeks. 8 weeks later on March 8 I bothered to visit the website again to check the status only to find out it is still pending (shock #3). I immediately called customer service to find out what's going on and the useless rep told me I have to wait for another 6-8 weeks. I demanded to escalate my case to his supervisor but he said a resolution would be available only after 7 business days.
A week later I check the status online to only find that my rebate amount has dropped from $95 to $60. Yes, 35 bucks less than originally stated!!! (shock #4)Monday March 20, called B+L as soon as I could and demanded an explanation of the situation to only hear from another useless rep. I'm sorry but the products you purchased only qualify for a $60 rebate and you still have to have 8-10 weeks -now I have to wait longer! (shock #5) According to the rep, my case has reached the highest escalation point possible and there is nothing I can do other than wait... I got so really mad and I wished I had taken a screenshot of the webpage where for weeks/months it was showing that my $95 rebate was pending so I could publish it and contend this scam but you would never doubt such a large company like this and those would be the last things you'd think of.
Unfortunately I do not have a FB account or any other social media ones where people post these kind of issues till they go viral and get the attention of the media and company but I hope this long review helps others. It is definitely helping me vent. Last time I received an incorrect order from a fairly small company here in California and when I called them to notify of the same they immediately offered to either refund my money or to overnight me the right order to account for their mistake and either ways keep the incorrect product with me if I wanted. I really appreciated their customer service and willingness to do things right and asked them to ship the correct order using regular mail 5-7 business days. If I got that kind of service from a small-medium company I should not expect less from B+L but sadly my expectations have been unfulfilled. Thanks for reading and I'm including my tracking # for reference.

I feel "taken" and duped by B&L due to their rebate offer that never materialized and was so complicated that I think the redemption requirements were designed to NOT fulfill the offer. I mailed everything in requested. Dr. receipt, receipt showing that I ordered the specific supply required. I was suppose to receive a $50 or $60 rebate. Waited 2 1/2 months and have not received the advertised rebate. I don't have the time to fight for this. I never thought that such a reputable brand would do such a thing. Either they concocted a rebate that was meant to fool people or the administrating company is a scam. Either way, it's designed to not pay the consumer the rebate and in doing so harms their brand name. I may never buy a Bausch and Lomb product again.

I purchase a year's worth of contact lenses October 4th, 2016 because my Dr. said I would get a $130 rebate from Bausch & Lomb. After reading these reviews I see now this was a scam created by B&L to get consumers to buy contact lenses by the boat loads and the screw them out of the rebate. This is January 27th, 2017 and I still do not have my rebate. When I checked my tracking number the first time it said my rebate could not be completed because I did not have the UPC codes on the invoice. I promptly gave them the UPC codes I had on my boxes and the rep assured me my rebate would be process immediately. That was October 28th, 2016 and to this date (1/27/17) I have not received anything. I have called several times since then and just the runaround. They have not intention of sending any of us a rebate. We just got screwed by this company.
I will no longer by B&L products of any kind!!! Someone should slap a class action lawsuit against them! Then they will pay for more than just the rebate. Goodbye Bausch & Lomb I will be sure to spread the word about your shady dealings on Facebook, Google reviews, Twitter, and any other social media source I can find. Everyone should know how you operate!

I am writing this review from my own experience of Bausch & Lomb products. I have been wearing Contact lenses for over 30 years and just completed my yearly exam on 1/18/2017 with great results. I have trusted Bausch & Lomb over the years with many of their products and currently use the Renu fresh product for my lenses. I instantly noticed the comfort of this product on my eyes. My lenses felt well lubricated and comfortable. I highly recommend this product and would say using a good product like Bausch & Lomb has attributed to my eye health of 30 plus years wearing contacts. Your vision is not worth skimping on and keeping good eye cleanliness is imperative to trouble free eye problems wearing contacts. I hope this review will help others in choosing a great product from the Bausch & Lomb line. Thanks.

Called customer service and spoke with Catherine and was told that they never received my information which was mailed to the PO box ** El Paso, TX. So then I called my eye dr and Pearl Vision and they mailed me receipts to resubmit this rebate. First I'll start by saying after this experience we will never purchase Bausch + Lomb products again! I was given this rebate form at our doctor's office in our local Walmart Vision center. My husband was talked into these contacts by the doctor and the $85 rebate sealed the deal for us. I was careful to follow every direction to the T as I know how these rebate centers are looking for a reason to disqualify you. I also kept a copy of everything and kept detailed notes. I mailed my form on June 1st. By October 13, I knew something was wrong so I called. Customer service told me that my rebate was invalid because the Doctor's office receipt did not itemize the exam. It was just a generic receipt with the Doctor's heading at the top and a total at the bottom. Since it clearly states in the directions to send a copy of the original receipt with the date circled, I knew I had complied and I was not taking no for an answer.
So eventually I asked to speak to a supervisor who also fed me that same story. I continued to argue my case with him and he actually told me I needed to call the Dr. Office and demand they change their receipts. (Okay, like that would actually happen.) He continued to lecture me on what I did wrong and told me he would make this one exception and process my rebate. He said I should receive it in two weeks. Well he also bold faced lied to me. When I called back on 11/29/16 and spoke with another supervisor he apologized for the treatment I received and told me he did not know why I was lied to before but the real reason my claim was denied was because the skews did not match up. Apparently I bought the wrong contacts, but he was going to fix it. (Now I have compared the boxes on the rebate form to the ones I bought and with the exception of the word "for Presbyopia" they are identical.)
So he filed for me to get another rebate that was over for $60. Oh and I would have to wait 2 months because it would have to be approved. At this point I just wanted off the phone. I have never dealt with a company as shady as this! Even if the doctor's office sold me the wrong contacts with the rebate, it doesn't explain why their customer service repeatedly lied to me. They have lost my business for good and I hope someone sues the heck out of them for this!!

Reviewed Nov. 16, 2016
So I went to get my eyes checked late 2015 and my optometrist recommended me to Bausch & Lomb's Ultra Contact Lenses. I figured I'd try them since Bausch & Lomb (B + L) had a deal where it explicitly stated I'd get $100 Rebate on my purchase as I had purchased multiple boxes of contacts for both my eyes. I was excited to try them on and I did, no issues with the contacts. That same night, as soon as I got home I started filling out the necessary information on the rebate form via their rebate website as mentioned on their form that I obtained from the optometrician's office and submitted all necessary documents (doctor's visit proof, prescription proof, proof of purchase, UPC bar codes)... the whole 9-yards. It was a successful submission as they received my documentation around January 13, 2016.
Then came April 2016, I checked the status using their tracking number. It said it was received and it was "FULFILLED". Later in April, I began to worry about where my $100 rebate (debit/credit card) went, so I called them up on their "1-855-806-3231" number as it was listed on their rebate site. Then after navigating from their main menu, I got through a customer service representative after about 35 minute hold time, who then gave me another number to call since my inquiry pertained to "missing / lost card" and he told me that if I call the "1-888-976-0113" number, all I'd have to do is provide my tracking number and someone would take care of my issue right away. I call the second number and after being put on hold for about 25 minutes someone answered my call. I explained my situation and provided my tracking number and confirmed my address.
They apologized in a fake way and said they would send me a "Replacement card" within the next couple weeks. I somewhat believed him but as a cautionary step, I had asked him about what happens if I don't get it within next couple weeks since I had to wait a while, and he said then they'd mail it to me via UPS or another carrier service sooner. Well, all that assurance sounded good via phone, but the reality is that it's November 2016, and I have yet to receive my $100 that I was promised. I called them today to inquire, and as usual nothing is easy with these rebate folks. I went through the hassle of calling both numbers again, and this time, when I called the second number, I was told that in order to get a "second replacement" they would charge me approximately $6 and given that it is November they would have to deduct the maintenance fee off it as well (September fee, October fee and November fee).
In short, I was NOT going to get my $100 as promised. The customer service representative said that it is part of their policy, which honestly is the biggest BS I've ever heard. How is this my fault, that I had submitted everything that was required in a timely manner in order to successfully obtain the rebate? Why should I pay for a "second replacement" card when in reality, I have NOT received or even seen the first original card and now the "second" rebate card!!!?? I had them confirm my address again (which they have it right from the beginning). I even offered to provide them a secondary mailing address but it seemed like somehow the conversation made me feel like it was all my fault for trusting this brand and the rebate offer. So, I requested to speak with the supervisor, and as usual after being put on hold for good 30 minutes they disconnected the line!
CLASS ACTION SUIT really needs to be FILED AGAINST the COMPANY and this REBATE CENTER for the FRAUD! It is supposed to be a simple process: B+L advertised rebate; I bought the product based on recommendation and sale promotion for rebate; I submit all the necessary paperwork successfully by following all instructions like a good consumer, and as a return courtesy I'm expecting my $100 rebate (nothing more, nothing less) in a timely manner without having to call every couple months to inquire about the status of my rebate and where it physically is.... Never been so disappointed at this brand.
After reading up on similar cases on this website, it seems that they have duped many people with similar problems!!!! Lesson learned: I'm never buying any BAUSCH & LOMB PRODUCTS, I rather give my business to another time worthy and loyal brand that actually cares about their products, services & customers!

In the past I had had no problem with AOSept/EasySept, but recently have been extremely dissatisfied. The old lens cases used to function well for at least a month, whilst I've been forced to discard these new, half-green cases after only a couple of weeks, sometimes less time. After only a short period of time, the case ceases to neutralize the solution, even after the lens having been left in there for a good 8-9 hours. In the morning, I've put my lens in my eye only to experience terrible burning. This can happen unexpectedly. Very dangerous.

I just read some of the posts about PeroxiClear. I was surprised to read some of the negative experiences that some users had. I worked in an eye dr.'s office for many years. I taught contact lens care & trained patients how to insert their lenses, remove them & care for them. One of the most important instruction was always wash your hands prior to handling your lenses. I have tried many brands but Bausch & Lomb has always worked well for me. One of my lenses is Acuvue II. The other is a toric lens from another company. I have allergies & have suffered for many yrs. at least 15 or more. I get red watering eyes. Sooo frustrating. I tried many contact solutions even Bausch & Lomb sensitive. Still had watering red eyes. The Renu solution is the one I used for years.
I had done some reading & came across an article about using Peroxide to clean contact lenses. One day I came across PeroxiClear! I wasn't even 1/3 of the way thru the bottle my red eyes & watering COMPLETELY STOPPED! Haven't had it since! :)) It has been a lifesaver for me. I will always use it. I ran out & used the Renu solution on my lenses. My eyes were irritated & redness started to come back. Have never used anything else since finding the PeroxiClear. What works for some might not work for everyone. When my kids were little a neighbor boy couldn't drink red Kool-Aid. His mom was working & he & his sister made red Kool-Aid. Poor kid's eyes swelled shut! Everyone is different. Just because one person can't use a product doesn't mean it's not a good product. Just might not work for them.
I have never had any irritation from using the PeroxiClear. It cured my red & watering eyes. I'm sure the Kool-Aid company isn't gonna stop making red Kool-Aid because one kid has an allergic reaction to it. For me it's been an awesome product. It's sooo nice to not have someone come up to me and ask me if I'm ok because my watering eyes look like I'm crying. Don't have to worry anymore. Those red & watering eyes are gone. :)) I just wanted to share my good experience with PeroxiClear. There can be a lot of reasons a person has eye irritation. It can be from taking prescriptions allergy tablets which can make your eyes dry. Being in air conditioning all day can make eyes dry & irritated. A lot of reasons... hair products, etc. Even getting plain water in your eye can be irritating. Thanks Bausch & Lomb for such an awesome product! I have recommended this product to many people.

Like everyone else, I am having major problems with Bausch + Lomb's rebate department. I filled out all the proper paperwork, and I submitted all of the required documents. This process takes way too long, and I would bet that they count on you not following up or checking their work.
Contacting their representatives only makes matters more infuriating. The entire system is designed to fail for the consumer seeking the rebate. They will ask you for "Plus Codes" that had nothing to do with the original submission, and then refuse to help you because you don't have those mythical digits, etc. Stay away from this company. It is sleazy and not worth the anger or your time. P.S. If you really want to help, please process the following tracking number correctly. "Your rebate tracking number is: **."

So I ended up buying Bausch and Lomb Contact Lenses for the very first time just to test them out and because they were offering a promotion. My optometrist had suggested buying these contact lenses because I have dry eyes whenever I wear contact lenses. Well I made the mistake of buying an entire years worth of contact lenses. Let me just tell you guys if you have dry eyes do not buy these. You should buy Biofinity CooperVision contact lenses. They kept my eyes moist throughout the day. My right eye is consistently blurry thanks to these lenses and I have to keep applying eye drops to make the vision clear.
In addition, the promotion is a fraud. I sent everything they had stated and I even checked multiple times that everything listed under the promotion requirements was in the envelope when I had sent it. Well when I checked my rebate status they said I had missing information. I have never been so confident that this company advertises promotions falsely to get new customers. When I called to ask why I did not receive the additional $40, they told me I did not submit all of the necessary paperwork. I submitted everything and they are ripping me off! The only reason I went to their product was for the rebate. I WILL NOT USE THEIR CONTACT LENSES AGAIN. I think it is a cheap way to lure people into a product and not pay up. I am disgusted. As you can see by the other reviews, I am not the first to have this happen.

This is the WORST product I have ever bought!!! If I could give it 0 stars I would. I created this account just to review this product! These contacts were supposed to give my eyes more oxygen to decrease the chances of obtaining red blood cells and dry eyes. I would occasionally get dry eyes after wearing all day and thought these would last longer, but NOOOPE!!! I have never had so many problems and I should have stuck with my regular contacts.
This product is not the upgrade I was hoping for. It created problems I didn't have before. They were also about TWICE as expensive as my regular contacts when I got them because of the name and because it was new. I wanted to trust my eye doctor because he said he highly recommended it. Everyone is just trying to make money. I can only wear them for a half hour before they start hurting or they make my eyes dry, vision blurry and give me headaches. I followed the care directions perfectly, but these contacts are AWFUL. Never buy any products from them, my friend had problems with other products (wanna say one was eyedrops). Oh and besides getting a HORRIBLE product, I don't remember receiving a rebate refund. All in all just look at their overall ratings on here. They speak for themselves.

I had a normal eye exam in Dec 2015. My prescription changed very little. I can provide the examine notes. I ordered bifocal contacts and they worked great. I went to pick up my order of contacts after trying the sample for a few days. I received a coupon for 3.00 off the Bausch and Lomb PeroxiClear, so I bought it. I used as directed and tried to put my left contact in the following morning. It burned so bad that I dropped to my knees. I couldn't even try to get the lens out the burning and throbbing was so bad.
After finally getting it out I kept reading the container thinking I bought a strong cleaning agent for hard lenses, but I had not. It also said no rinsing necessary. I returned the product to Walmart where I bought it immediately and then the nightmare began. My contacts would not work. I went back to get them adjusted. They would work for a few days or a week and then not. I went back several times and finally gave up. I then decided that I've never had problems with contacts and that I would try a new doctor and he found my problem immediately and I have a macular hole which I did not have at my examine in Dec.
I had surgery on 4/14/2016 and am now recovering. I went from having a normal eye exam (I have worn contacts since 1975 with no problems ever) to having all sorts of trouble with contacts and glasses after using this product and now a macular hole. I swear on the Bible that this trauma with this product played a huge part in this situation. I am so upset and sad that I bought this stupid product and no one else should have to experience this kind of pain with any eye product by any company. I want to know what I can do? Do I have a consumer product case? I'm 56 years old and I've never contacted a lawyer for anything in my life, but I feel very strongly that I should be compensated for this damage. I know there are others out there who have had burning problems with this product also. Please advise.

My husband received a Bausch and Lomb/Walgreens coupon from his doctor's office for Prolensa eye drops needed for his cataract surgery. When the coupon was presented at Walgreens he was told it was denied "because you are too old". Exact words of the clerk. Upon reading the fine print we discovered that it stated the coupon was good only for patients over the age of 18 and under the age of 65. Is this not discrimination against the elderly? Most cataract patients are over the age of 65! Our doctor's office was not happy with this outcome and said they will no longer give out the coupon. Our cost at Walgreens in South Carolina would have been $295. Our doctor's office found us a discount pharmacy in Winter Park Florida who sent the eye drops to us overnight. We paid $60.

Bausch & Lomb failed to honor its rebate. I was told by my eye doctor I'd get a $110 or $140 rebate or something -- it was well over $100, I remember that, for I wouldn't have bothered otherwise -- for filling out the rebate on the contact lenses, sending the box tops with the codes, etc., getting the eye doctor's signature, sending all back within a couple weeks of my checkup. Anyway, I did all that and B&L denied the rebate, though I jumped through ALL the hoops. I will NEVER use anything from this company again. I don't need the money, but I am personally very peeved to have been treated this way, to have wasted my time and then been insulted by these clowns.
The fact you need to do SO MANY things to get the rebate, to spend the personal time is what really peeves me. I've used their products for 40 years but will NEVER use B&L products again, including no more Ray Ban sunglasses. Bausch and Lomb is a company I no longer trust. If they are cheating on rebates, what else are they cheating and lying on? Shame on you Bausch & Lomb.

After sending all required forms we received emailed that our rebate applications were invalid. After calling a toll free no. agent checked to see if we had a valid product or not. After checking we're told to call back in 7-10 days. My only question is why our rebates were rejected first and then told us to call back. So unless you call them you won't know if you qualify for rebate or not even if their advertising clearly shows so. So unless you call and follow up multiple times you won't get your rebate. Is that how it is?

My contacts came very quick so I got all of the documents together to submit my rebate. I submitted my rebate in April 2015 and they received it on May 4th, 2015. I have waited 18 WEEKS for my rebate and I HAVE STILL NOT RECEIVED IT! I have called multiple times and have been given the runaround stating that I needed to wait 10-12 weeks, so I did... NOTHING. Then I called again and they stated they had a higher volume on this particular rebate. 18 weeks... and I still have not gotten anything back. I have received nothing in the mail apologizing for the delay or a phone call or anything. I am the one that has been doing all of the legwork. 18 weeks is absolutely ridiculous.
Then I call for a final time and they stated my rebate was mailed out but that I needed to wait an additional 15-30 days from that date to receive it. How does that make sense? So all in all if I ever receive my rebate back I am guessing it will be a total of 20 WEEKS of waiting... 5 MONTHS! I am very disappointed by this. I bought the PeroxiClear by Bausch & Lomb at Walmart, as it claims it is done cleaning in 4 hours versus 8 hours for the Clear Care. For the first half of the bottle it worked fine. However, half way through, the disc doesn't seem to neutralize the hydrogen peroxide anymore. Even after 10 hours of soaking! And the burning sensation is like having your eyeballs on fire. It takes a long time for the pain to go away as well. Expect at least 60 minutes of eyeballs on fire pain to persist. Seriously, washing your eye out with water doesn't even help, and eye drops are useless. I think the manufacturer (Bausch & Lomb) is negligent as they cheapened out on their discs at our (very painful) expense. Nobody should have to go through this. I was getting ready to put my lenses in after soaking them in the peroxiclear solution in the case provided. I took them out. Rinsed them. Put the right lens in my eye. Thought I was going to ** my pants. It felt like I had poured what I think acid would feel like if one poured it in my eyes. She saw a shade hanging over her eye and glare in the center of her vision. She could not drive her car and could not paint, read or watch television. The doctor could not figure out why and had no experience troubleshooting this situation. So we found another ophthalmologist with extensive experience remediating failed surgeries. He determined by using a sonogram of her eye (the first doctor never thought of this) that the crystal lens had collapsed into her eye. Four surgeries later to remove the lens and haptics her condition remains the same. I contend that the original surgery and resulting collapse of the crystal lens constitutes product failure and possible incompetence on the part of the first ophthalmologist.

We've completed everything online and then we've mailed ALL of the required proof of purchase stuff such as the optometrist invoices for the exam and the contacts. We've even cut up the boxes, as is required, in order to fulfill B&L's demand that we submit more proof of the purchase by mailing them the actual UPC symbols off of each box which are all identical for any boxes of the same type of product.
We have NEVER received any form of payment as is stated would be mailed to us in "up to 60 days". Bausch & Lomb even deceptively kicks out an email after a User fills in their address which their site uses to help print out a letter to enclose with the UPS symbols & Invoices (original Invoices and NOT copies they're keen to remind you). But nothing is actually being done and this deceptive email-- it surely just designed to keep some people from feeling the need to take the steps needed to mail stuff in.
Even so, we've mailed in all of the demanded/requested junk and never ever received any Rebates. I'll mention again that we've completed the online stuff and then mailed in all of the proof-of-purchase stuff every time multiple times and have never gotten a ent. I tossed into my travel bag for a short weekend trip last Easter and noticed my left eye getting red, itchy and scaly. I thought maybe I got some soap in my eye, or something, but my eyeball was not red. By Sunday evening my left eye was very swollen, red and scaly. I suspected an eye infection. I came home and it cleared up on its own within a couple days, so no need for eye doctor? I could not figure out what happened, so I tossed cosmetics, sanitized make-up brushes etc.
2nd trip I took, a month or 2 later, was a week long trip and the same thing happened. Only this time getting worse and both eyes affected. Guess what!? I used that same travel size Renu bottle for my trip, this time realizing it was the cause of these outbreaks. But thought it was contaminated with some kind of bacteria or fungus! (B&L does have a history of their products causing fungus resulting in blindness and lawsuits). Only THIS time around, when I returned home, my condition would not clear up unless I would go completely without make-up or contacts!
I then went to my ophthalmologist who diagnosed me with blepharitis! He gave me antibiotic/steroid drops, which do help clear it up, but tells me it's not good to use this stuff long term. So now, if I don't use the drops and I wear my contacts (which I have worn without any problems for over 20 years before this all happened) the blepharitis comes back. So now I can't get rid of this problem and am told blepharitis is CHRONIC! WHAT A NIGHTMARE! No. It was a normal bottle that I've read the warning on so many times, so put one of the contacts in and my eyeball literally felt like it was on fire, I say again: literally. I had no clue what was going on! It was horrible as my husband tried to flush out my eye with normal contact solution. After a trip to the Emergency Room, things have started to recover but it could just be from the numbing agent that the ER doctor provided. Now, it will affect my work as the Doctor has prescribed me not to use a computer. I'll tell you why this happened:
Bausch & Lomb's Clear Care, Triple Action solution is contact solution that is in the same type of bottle as normal contact solution however, it has hydrogen peroxide as an active ingredient, which literally burns the eyeball and has caused blindness. However, Clear Care contact solution, Triple Action only rely on a general sub-text warning that reads: "IMPORTANT: Failure to follow directions for use will result in burning and stinging" and a red cap which does not give enough warning. As the bottle looks identical as other contact solution that contact-wearers have used for years upon years, they obviously won't read the directions since they have read them multiple times in previous years.

The calls to the 800 number were useless. The staff they have responding haven't a clue. If the eye doctor's office didn't call, we would never have received the rebate. Second year, same prescription, different contact lens company used by the eye doctor, little less expensive and no rebate necessary - no problem. This year, seen in June and lo and behold the eye doctor is back using Bausch & Lomb. Attempts to enter the rebate via computer were not successful; back to the doctor's office and his staff entered the information for me and said nothing else was necessary.
Checked the status online and it says that the bar codes off of the 12 boxes were sent (eye doctor staff said it wasn't necessary). September 26th, checked status again, ended up sending the bar codes by mail and checked today and the site says "you need to send the verification for the rebate to be processed". I will not be using the eye doctor anymore as long as he only offers Bausch & Lomb and will NEVER again buy anything by Bausch & Lomb. They do this on purpose and they are a rip off. I will be calling their 800 number tomorrow because, god forbid they would be open beyond 5 p.m. or have operators available. I'm thinking this company is really in another country and their Texas address is a front.

In late May 2014 I had my annual eye exam. The Dr. changed my prescription to a new "better" style of contact made by Bausch & Lomb. In addition to its improved features, they were making certain that everyone knew about the great rebate being offered. $90 off a 1 year supply. I typically only purchase 1 box at a time however went for the 1 year supply to get the rebate. I sent the rebate form immediately. On August 13, after hearing nothing from Bausch & Lomb for 2 months, I called to inquire on the status. I was told that the rebate was "entered" into their system on June 23 (3.5 weeks after I mailed it) and that it had been "accepted" but would take 6-8 weeks from receipt until the rebate was sent.
Today Sept. 24, I checked the website. My rebate shows received date as August 13 (the date of my first call) and status "fulfilled" with a comment to allow 10-14 days to receive the rebate. August 13 was 6 weeks ago so I called again. After being on the phone for 20 minutes and on hold 5 times, the call center operator continued to run through all of the scripted "I understand your inquiry, etc" text she is instructed to use. Then she said perhaps she could do something to speed it up.
After being on hold for another 10-15 minutes, she came back and said that unfortunately it would still take the normal 6-8 weeks. When I pointed out that it had been 3 months since it was received June 23, she put me back on hold. When she came back she said she had reentered my submission and that it was not "accepted" and should pay in 6-8 weeks but now there is a new tracking number. I am guessing that she did nothing but delay it further.
I do not know anyone yet that has actually received any rebate from this promotion. Seems like false advertising to sell contacts to me. I'll be switching away from B&L when these contacts are gone. I actually don't like them as well as my old ones anyway. Advice, Don't use B&L products just because there is a big rebate.

I have used contact lenses for 30 years. I bought this from my local chemist because I had run out of my usual solution. I read the front which is very confusing but it said "for soft contact lenses". I had had a lovely day and just went to wash my contact lenses because they had got dry. I put a couple of drops of this on the lens as I would any other soft contact lens solution, the pain was terrible!!!! I screamed so much my 9-yr-old son woke to see what was wrong. Finally I managed to get the lens out of my eye. My eye was completely red and I was in great pain.
This is the most terrible product and dangerous that I have ever come across! The warning on the packet is in very small print. There is no instructions as to what to do if you do get it in your eye and as someone with very short sight minus 10 when the contact lens is out. How on earth was I supposed to read the warning in small print on the top!!! This product should be withdrawn. There is no telephone number to call if you have irritation. I am now sitting here with tears running down my face from the pain. This has obviously happened to others. Please can someone get this terrible product taken off the shelves.

For many years I have used a Tesco's own brand all in one cleanser but they did not have any and I bought Bausch and Lomb all in one cleanser. As a user of contact lenses of about 20 years I am very particular on how to use solution and of course hygiene is priority. The first 2 days of use I did feel a slight stinging but it was of no worry. However, the third day when I put my left lens in, I almost fainted with the effect and pain. I knew my eye was burned and by the time I managed to get the lens out of my eye I was in agony. I continually bathed it all day long but by the time evening came I just knew I had to go to hospital. My left eye was very badly inflamed and watering continually. My right eye felt gritty and was red. Doctor gave me antibiotic cream to use and he noted what cleanser I had used, he watched me discard it in his bin.
I was traveling to London the following day, needless to say it wasted the family visit and within 2 days my right eye had now reacted also - a huge swelling and large a fluid bag hanging at the bottom just above my cheekbone. 2 visits to London pharmacies were visited trying to get relief from pain in my eyes and buying different eye creams prescribed by pharmacists. Nothing really helped and it was only when I returned on 1st September it began to look a bit better.
My hospital doctor suggested that when I returned home to see a local optician which I did today and was advised that I do not use my lenses till the itchy eyes which I am now left with stops. I am so annoyed that this product is on shelves. I never have had any reaction, and would like to know if there are others this has happened to.

This company is THE WORST and I will never buy anything from them again! They offer a rebate program for your contacts, but make it extremely difficult to actually get your money. I had to speak to 4 different individuals and they still denied me my money. Even though I had sent everything they asked me (directly from my doctor) and their own employee agreed with me...they had to send it to a black hole review board who denied what I sent in and never let me know. Then all my information disappeared and they could not see it anymore. I asked to speak to a manager and all he did was tell me that there is nothing he could do and he was incredibly rude about the situation too. I happen to know that other companies who offer rebates are much more customer service friendly and they do not make it so difficult to get your rebate back. The contact lenses themselves are fine. I have not really had any issues with the lenses. Be aware of this company...COMPLETE FAIL IN MY OPINION! Why would I give money to a company who doesn't care about me or the way they treat me?? Why would you??

I could not drive. Later on I just went back to my other solution. On day I accidentally used the bottle of peroxiclear again. Same thing happened. Needless to say I threw the bottle away this time. I have submitted my rebate with all the right documents and last time I spoke to supervisor, they said they have expedited my rebate and it will take 15 days and should get it by July 28th. Today, when I called, they said my rebate is yet to process due to high response from ad and when I asked if that is my mistake, they have no answer. All they say is, "We apologize for inconvenience", but they have done everything they can and I have to wait for another four weeks. I submitted my rebate offer in April and now it's August.
If you can't refund the consumers on time, please do not take them for ride by making them call all the time and now I can't even return the products so I have to not only change my eye care provider because of you as he refuses to take back the products but have to change my contact lens provider as well. I bought 6 months monthly disposable Bausch and Lomb Toric lenses and I'm highly disappointed by them. It's been 4 months and I've used all 6 months supply. The lenses tend to tear on the corners, sort of get chipped. I've been wearing lenses for 4 years now and never faced this issue. I'm extremely careful in handling lenses and this is just not acceptable. Every pair tends to tear, some within the first 7 days or some tear during the last few days of the month. I have already placed an order with a different brand. I have no faith in B&L anymore. While the pricing seems fine, I'd rather pay a higher price for something that I know will last its tenure. I suggest if you're buying toric lenses go for anything but B&L.
How nice B&L doesn't even have an email ID I could express my grievances to on their Indian website. Don't know if it's there for other county websites. B&L you really need to pull up your socks, I'm going to go tell everyone at my local optician to stop buying your stuff. Good luck with making more crappy stuff. Recently, I opened the pack of (6 Soft Contact Lenses) monthly disposable lens, and the first pair caused unbearable irritation in my eyes, and I was shocked to find out that when I took them out, one of the lens was torn. Thankfully, the first time there wasn't much harm caused to my eyes.
The second pair too, did not feel comfortable and also did not last for much long. Similarly, the third and the fourth pair of lenses were found torn and there were tiny dots in them. I am in no mood to give you all the vivid details now, not to mention all the trouble I had to go thorough amidst having to attend courts and managing a lot of reading without the lenses. Initially I thought that it might have been for some other unknown reason, but then all the five lenses were found defective successively, and right now I'm using the sixth pair of lens which is also showing tiny tearings at the edges of the lens.
So it's now doubtless that the lens that I got were indeed defective. I request the concerned authorities to take some action regarding my agony as soon as possible. Please do replace the lenses and prevent any further mental torture to me! Please take immediate action in this regard and consider this complaint of an urgent nature, in order to prevent any further trouble to both of us!

After a while, it started hurting as if some sharp edge was piercing my eye. Again I attempted to remove the lens and a small piece of lens came out, then the bigger portion came out broken.
This was astonishing. How could the lens tear in my eye, when twice I placed on my cornea so carefully? Above all, I injured my lower eyelid. It is swollen and blackened. I immediately went to an eye specialist and now my eye is under treatment.

The drops are concentrated protein removers and very strong solution. I burned my eye and immediately rinsed with water. However, the eye is so swollen and red, I must go to the ophthalmologist to have him determine a course of action.
I contacted B&L and was told that I should have read the teeny-weeny fine print on the bottle and not to wear contacts for a few days due to the burn.
Do we put clorox in the same bottle as coke? Would fine print exonerate the liability of the manufacturer of such products? I may be affected long term. Who knows? My eye is on fire and it is not comfortable!

Later that same evening, I started to feel like I was coming down with something. My eyes were slightly burning and I suspected I was coming down with a fever. I took out my contact lens and took my temperature, it was a normal 96.8. The following 3 days, my eyes continued to burn and itch. I tried to refrain from rubbing them, which was hard since they felt like there was sand or grit in them.
The incident came to a head on Wednesday evening, when my eyes began to burn so severely that at one point, I could no longer open my eyes. When I tried to concentrate on opening my eyes, the burning pain in both eyes would not allow it to happen. Never in my life had I experienced anything like it before. It was terrifying. I wanted someone to take me to the hospital emergency room. My husband suggested I try taking some pain reliever and he would take me the following morning. After about 30 minutes of severe pain, I finally slept. I went to the Ophthalmologist the next day and explained my symptoms. He examined my eyes and was able to see some pitting on the surface of both of my corneas. He provided me with some lubricating eye gel and advised me to return if the problem persisted after 2 days.
Thankfully, the eye gel he provided did offer relief. But I suspect the ReNu Multipurpose Lens Solution. I am writing to file a complaint regarding your Bausch & Lomb contact solution. I am a contact lens wearer and have used Bausch & Lomb Boston contact solution for many years. I contacted a bad fusarium fungal infection in my left eye which has left permanent scarring and vision loss. I am contacting you for two reasons: 1) I did use Renu twice in the weeks prior to the infection; and 2) more importantly the Boston Solution was manufactured in the same plant as the Renu solution which was recalled.
Fusarium eye infections are relatively rare and I am confident that my infection was related to the Bausch & Lomb contact solution that I used. I am a professor and mother of three and spent many months unable to work as a result of the infection and also have now experienced permanent problems working and functioning at the level I did prior to the eyesight loss.

I am writing about deceptive and environmentally irresponsible packing by the Bausch and Lomb product Boston One-Step Liquid Enzymatic Cleaner.
For a number of years, this product has been sold in a small squeeze bottle containing 5 ml of liquid for self-dispensing; retail price in Brooklyn NY at Rite-Aid was $11.99 per bottle. (FYI--this equates to approx $70/oz.)
Recently, this produce has new package in one-use only plastic vials, with each box containing 12 applications. Total volume, as stated on the box is 3 ml. (a 40% reduction) retailing for the same price of $11.99.
Not only is this price increase (disguised as new packaging) outrageous and deceptive, but it is environmentally destructive, since each application is encased in plastic applicators for I expect to be about 4 drops of liquid (the ratio of plastic to liquid boggles the mind).

I contracted a corneal eye infection during use of Bausch & Lomb ReNu with Moistureloc.
I had to undergo severe treatment under the care of a cornea specialist. I missed work during treatment and now suffer from permanent scarring and changed vision due to the infection.

I developed a nasty eye infection from contact lens use over 3 years ago. I wore two-week contact lenses for 3 weeks, and immediately afterwards experienced a burning sensation when trying to put any contacts in my eyes. I have had really dry eyes for 3 years, continuous **** buildup, and general discomfort.
My eye problem prevents me from living a normal life. I cannot even quantify the negative effects this infection has had on my life. It affects me every minute of every day and quite frankly, is unbearable.
