Bausch & Lomb ULTRA 2016 Mail-In rebate - I have submitted all required documents for the $85.00 rebate. I got an email from them stating I did not include the receipt for the cost of the exam. I have since spoken to a rep and they gave me the fax number to fax. I am still showing my rebate is invalid. I have verified that all docs are in receipt by Bausch & Lomb.. Why do they have the rebates and then make it impossible to qualify for them???

I just purchased PeroxiClear and my husband used it for soaking his contacts in it. Yesterday my husband had to go to the emergency room with an extreme chemical burn on his eye after putting his contact in. We thought that he had something on his hands prior to putting his contact in that caused the burn. Today, again thinking his burn was from something he had on his hand I put my contact in after soaking it in PeroxiClear and had extreme burning of the eye. DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT. We incurred more than $150 of medical costs. After seeing other reviews, I question why this product is still on the market.

I did everything that was asked to receive a full $100 dollar rebate and when I received my prepaid card it was for $60. When I called to ask why I did not receive the additional $40, they told me I did not submit all of the necessary paperwork. I submitted everything and they are ripping me off! The only reason I went to their product was for the rebate. I WILL NOT USE THEIR CONTACT LENSES AGAIN. I think it is a cheap way to lure people into a product and not pay up. I am disgusted. As you can see by the other reviews, I am not the first to have this happen.

This is the WORST product I have ever bought!!! If I could give it 0 stars I would. I created this account just to review this product! These contacts were supposed to give my eyes more oxygen to decrease the chances of obtaining red blood cells and dry eyes. I would occasionally get dry eyes after wearing all day and thought these would last longer, but NOOOPE!!! I have never had so many problems and I should have stuck with my regular contacts.

This product is not the upgrade I was hoping for. It created problems I didn't have before. They were also about TWICE as expensive as my regular contacts when I got them because of the name and because it was new. I wanted to trust my eye doctor because he said he highly recommended it. Everyone is just trying to make money. I can only wear them for a half hour before they start hurting or they make my eyes dry, vision blurry and give me headaches. I followed the care directions perfectly, but these contacts are AWFUL. Never buy any products from them, my friend had problems with other products (wanna say one was eyedrops). Oh and besides getting a HORRIBLE product, I don't remember receiving a rebate refund. All in all just look at their overall ratings on here. They speak for themselves.

I had a normal eye exam in Dec 2015. My prescription changed very little. I can provide the examine notes. I ordered bifocal contacts and they worked great. I went to pick up my order of contacts after trying the sample for a few days. I received a coupon for 3.00 off the Bausch and Lomb PeroxiClear, so I bought it. I used as directed and tried to put my left contact in the following morning. It burned so bad that I dropped to my knees. I couldn't even try to get the lens out the burning and throbbing was so bad.

After finally getting it out I kept reading the container thinking I bought a strong cleaning agent for hard lenses, but I had not. It also said no rinsing necessary. I returned the product to Walmart where I bought it immediately and then the nightmare began. My contacts would not work. I went back to get them adjusted. They would work for a few days or a week and then not. I went back several times and finally gave up. I then decided that I've never had problems with contacts and that I would try a new doctor and he found my problem immediately and I have a macular hole which I did not have at my examine in Dec.

I had surgery on 4/14/2016 and am now recovering. I went from having a normal eye exam (I have worn contacts since 1975 with no problems ever) to having all sorts of trouble with contacts and glasses after using this product and now a macular hole. I swear on the Bible that this trauma with this product played a huge part in this situation. I am so upset and sad that I bought this stupid product and no one else should have to experience this kind of pain with any eye product by any company. I want to know what I can do? Do I have a consumer product case? I'm 56 years old and I've never contacted a lawyer for anything in my life, but I feel very strongly that I should be compensated for this damage. I know there are others out there who have had burning problems with this product also. Please advise.

My husband received a Bausch and Lomb/Walgreens coupon from his doctor's office for Prolensa eye drops needed for his cataract surgery. When the coupon was presented at Walgreens he was told it was denied "because you are too old". Exact words of the clerk. Upon reading the fine print we discovered that it stated the coupon was good only for patients over the age of 18 and under the age of 65. Is this not discrimination against the elderly? Most cataract patients are over the age of 65! Our doctor's office was not happy with this outcome and said they will no longer give out the coupon. Our cost at Walgreens in South Carolina would have been $295. Our doctor's office found us a discount pharmacy in Winter Park Florida who sent the eye drops to us overnight. We paid $60.

Bausch & Lomb failed to honor its rebate. I was told by my eye doctor I'd get a $110 or $140 rebate or something -- it was well over $100, I remember that, for I wouldn't have bothered otherwise -- for filling out the rebate on the contact lenses, sending the box tops with the codes, etc., getting the eye doctor's signature, sending all back within a couple weeks of my checkup. Anyway, I did all that and B&L denied the rebate, though I jumped through ALL the hoops. I will NEVER use anything from this company again. I don't need the money, but I am personally very peeved to have been treated this way, to have wasted my time and then been insulted by these clowns.

The fact you need to do SO MANY things to get the rebate, to spend the personal time is what really peeves me. I've used their products for 40 years but will NEVER use B&L products again, including no more Ray Ban sunglasses. Bausch and Lomb is a company I no longer trust. If they are cheating on rebates, what else are they cheating and lying on? Shame on you Bausch & Lomb.

After sending all required forms we received emailed that our rebate applications were invalid. After calling a toll free no. agent checked to see if we had a valid product or not. After checking we're told to call back in 7-10 days. My only question is why our rebates were rejected first and then told us to call back. So unless you call them you won't know if you qualify for rebate or not even if their advertising clearly shows so. So unless you call and follow up multiple times you won't get your rebate. Is that how it is?

I have worn these contacts for a long time and I love the way they feel so I went and ordered a year supply of daily contact lenses and was informed it came with a 70.00 rebate that I would get back 8-10 weeks. My contacts came very quick so I got all of the documents together to submit my rebate. I submitted my rebate in April 2015 and they received it on May 4th, 2015. I have waited 18 WEEKS for my rebate and I HAVE STILL NOT RECEIVED IT! I have called multiple times and have been given the runaround stating that I needed to wait 10-12 weeks, so I did... NOTHING. Then I called again and they stated they had a higher volume on this particular rebate. 18 weeks... and I still have not gotten anything back. I have received nothing in the mail apologizing for the delay or a phone call or anything. I am the one that has been doing all of the legwork. 18 weeks is absolutely ridiculous.

Then I call for a final time and they stated my rebate was mailed out but that I needed to wait an additional 15-30 days from that date to receive it. How does that make sense? So all in all if I ever receive my rebate back I am guessing it will be a total of 20 WEEKS of waiting... 5 MONTHS! I am very disappointed by this. I paid all of my money up front thinking I would receive my rebate back within the 8-10 weeks - yeah right, what a joke!

I purchased contacts for my daughter. I decided to go with the One Year Supply BECAUSE OF A REBATE OFFER for $140 debit card. I submitted the offer days after the purchase on March 28th, 2015. Around late April or early May I received a letter stating I did not include UPC codes. I absolutely did submit UPC codes and immediately called them asking if there was a report of damaged mail because those codes were in the envelope and if they were not in the envelope and the mail was not damaged then the mistake happened on Bausch + Lomb's end. I had a copy of the UPCs and was told to email them which I did that day or the following day. I received an email saying they would process the rebate.

I have called 8-9 times since March and each time they have told me it was APPROVED and being processed. I was told on one of my phone calls that I would have the debit card by mid-June and on another call by July 29th, 2015. On my final call on or around July 30th I was told it was printed and mailed and to give it 7-10 business days. I still have received nothing. I intend to fight this to the end. My family is a higher income family and I plan fight this on principle not because I have to have this $140. I am appalled at how this company has behaved. I have used their products since I was 13 years old, so 26 years! I can provide copies of UPCs, copy of receipt, emails from B+L and printouts from B+L website stating my rebate is valid. I have been a contact lens wearer for decades. I have used Clear Care for years and never had a problem, so I am aware of how to use peroxide lens cleaners. I bought the PeroxiClear by Bausch & Lomb at Walmart, as it claims it is done cleaning in 4 hours versus 8 hours for the Clear Care. For the first half of the bottle it worked fine. However, half way through, the disc doesn't seem to neutralize the hydrogen peroxide anymore. Even after 10 hours of soaking! And the burning sensation is like having your eyeballs on fire. It takes a long time for the pain to go away as well. Expect at least 60 minutes of eyeballs on fire pain to persist. Seriously, washing your eye out with water doesn't even help, and eye drops are useless. I think the manufacturer (Bausch & Lomb) is negligent as they cheapened out on their discs at our (very painful) expense. Nobody should have to go through this. Last week I purchased Peroxiclear. You can never have contacts that are too clean. So this product appealed to me. I followed directions to the letter. I was getting ready to put my lenses in after soaking them in the peroxiclear solution in the case provided. I took them out. Rinsed them. Put the right lens in my eye. Thought I was going to ** my pants. It felt like I had poured what I think acid would feel like if one poured it in my eyes. I couldn't believe the pain let alone trying to get the contact out of my eye. The pain was unbearable. The whites of my eye were PURE RED. My vision was blurred and my eye felt a weird texture. I kept rinsing it with water. Renu solution. It took TWO complete days for the redness to gradually go away.

Out of fear of it happening again I choose to throw the pair of contacts out. There is no way that I would believe that others have not experienced the same issue I did using this product. I've never had any issues with Bausch & Lomb products. But I will NEVER again use ANY of their products!!! There are a lot of other choices out there. I'm amazed this product is sold for public use. She saw a shade hanging over her eye and glare in the center of her vision. She could not drive her car and could not paint, read or watch television. The doctor could not figure out why and had no experience troubleshooting this situation. So we found another ophthalmologist with extensive experience remediating failed surgeries. He determined by using a sonogram of her eye (the first doctor never thought of this) that the crystal lens had collapsed into her eye. Four surgeries later to remove the lens and haptics her condition remains the same. I contend that the original surgery and resulting collapse of the crystal lens constitutes product failure and possible incompetence on the part of the first ophthalmologist.

Please let me just get a grip on this contact! It has to get out of my eye!!" I thought I might pass out. I had to take deep breaths and force my eye open and dig the contact out. I'm not a wimp. I've given natural birth 4 times, had sinus surgery and the aftermath of that, had a couple of other surgeries and have never begged for mercy like I was now. This, this eye solution had me crying, jumping up and down in pain, and pleading for help. It needs to be taken off the market! Not a drop of it is safe for your eyes!!! We've submitted rebate requests at www.bausch.com/rebates several times for different purchases for 3 of our family members at different times over the past few years. We've completed everything online and then we've mailed ALL of the required proof of purchase stuff such as the optometrist invoices for the exam and the contacts. We've even cut up the boxes, as is required, in order to fulfill B&L's demand that we submit more proof of the purchase by mailing them the actual UPC symbols off of each box which are all identical for any boxes of the same type of product.

We have NEVER received any form of payment as is stated would be mailed to us in "up to 60 days". Bausch & Lomb even deceptively kicks out an email after a User fills in their address which their site uses to help print out a letter to enclose with the UPS symbols & Invoices (original Invoices and NOT copies they're keen to remind you). But nothing is actually being done and this deceptive email-- it surely just designed to keep some people from feeling the need to take the steps needed to mail stuff in.

Even so, we've mailed in all of the demanded/requested junk and never ever received any Rebates. I'll mention again that we've completed the online stuff and then mailed in all of the proof-of-purchase stuff every time multiple times and have never gotten a ent. This type of activity is fraudulent advertising and if anyone knows of a class action lawsuit regarding this that I can join in on, I'd sure appreciate it if I could be told of it. I've not been able to find one by Google searching the issue.

I had run out of my normal brand, decided to give Biotrue a try because Bausch & Lomb had been my very first brand I had used years ago. A lot has changed obviously, Biotrue dried my eyes out constantly. I had originally assumed that it was due to my job which involves long hours at a computer in combination with winter time dryness.

After going through a bottle of eye drops in a short amount of time, I went to the store last night to try my purchase my usual brand and there is a very significant difference. I would not complain, except for the fact that my blurred vision contributed to a car accident which is a total loss. Thankfully, vehicles were the only thing hurt.

My mother gave me a travel size bottle, brand new, sealed and not expired, of "Renu" contact lens solution. I tossed into my travel bag for a short weekend trip last Easter and noticed my left eye getting red, itchy and scaly. I thought maybe I got some soap in my eye, or something, but my eyeball was not red. By Sunday evening my left eye was very swollen, red and scaly. I suspected an eye infection. I came home and it cleared up on its own within a couple days, so no need for eye doctor? I could not figure out what happened, so I tossed cosmetics, sanitized make-up brushes etc.

2nd trip I took, a month or 2 later, was a week long trip and the same thing happened. Only this time getting worse and both eyes affected. Guess what!? I used that same travel size Renu bottle for my trip, this time realizing it was the cause of these outbreaks. But thought it was contaminated with some kind of bacteria or fungus! (B&L does have a history of their products causing fungus resulting in blindness and lawsuits). Only THIS time around, when I returned home, my condition would not clear up unless I would go completely without make-up or contacts!

I then went to my ophthalmologist who diagnosed me with blepharitis! He gave me antibiotic/steroid drops, which do help clear it up, but tells me it's not good to use this stuff long term. So now, if I don't use the drops and I wear my contacts (which I have worn without any problems for over 20 years before this all happened) the blepharitis comes back. So now I can't get rid of this problem and am told blepharitis is CHRONIC! WHAT A NIGHTMARE! Also, wearing eye make-up now will aggravate it - and I have always worn make-up without any issues either. Am supposed to keep eyelash area very clean, but some cleansers really flare it up too! Now I see there are others out there who have developed problems from these products!

I used my sister's contact solution and noticed the warning, "IMPORTANT: Failure to follow directions for use will result in burning and stinging", and it seems like any general warning that I've read multiple times on contact solution bottles, so obviously I read the label, right? No. It was a normal bottle that I've read the warning on so many times, so put one of the contacts in and my eyeball literally felt like it was on fire, I say again: literally. I had no clue what was going on! It was horrible as my husband tried to flush out my eye with normal contact solution. After a trip to the Emergency Room, things have started to recover but it could just be from the numbing agent that the ER doctor provided. Now, it will affect my work as the Doctor has prescribed me not to use a computer. I'll tell you why this happened:

Bausch & Lomb's Clear Care, Triple Action solution is contact solution that is in the same type of bottle as normal contact solution however, it has hydrogen peroxide as an active ingredient, which literally burns the eyeball and has caused blindness. However, Clear Care contact solution, Triple Action only rely on a general sub-text warning that reads: "IMPORTANT: Failure to follow directions for use will result in burning and stinging" and a red cap which does not give enough warning. As the bottle looks identical as other contact solution that contact-wearers have used for years upon years, they obviously won't read the directions since they have read them multiple times in previous years.

In June my son had his annual eye exam and his prescription (contacts) changed requiring more contacts. This would be the third year that he has had contacts; the 1st year, Bausch & Lomb were the contacts the eye doctor prescribed/sold to us and we waited literally 5-6 months and it required several calls (to Bausch & Lomb and the eye doctor) before we got the rebate card. The calls to the 800 number were useless. The staff they have responding haven't a clue. If the eye doctor's office didn't call, we would never have received the rebate. Second year, same prescription, different contact lens company used by the eye doctor, little less expensive and no rebate necessary - no problem. This year, seen in June and lo and behold the eye doctor is back using Bausch & Lomb. Attempts to enter the rebate via computer were not successful; back to the doctor's office and his staff entered the information for me and said nothing else was necessary.

Checked the status online and it says that the bar codes off of the 12 boxes were sent (eye doctor staff said it wasn't necessary). September 26th, checked status again, ended up sending the bar codes by mail and checked today and the site says "you need to send the verification for the rebate to be processed". I will not be using the eye doctor anymore as long as he only offers Bausch & Lomb and will NEVER again buy anything by Bausch & Lomb. They do this on purpose and they are a rip off. I will be calling their 800 number tomorrow because, god forbid they would be open beyond 5 p.m. or have operators available. I'm thinking this company is really in another country and their Texas address is a front.

In late May 2014 I had my annual eye exam. The Dr. changed my prescription to a new "better" style of contact made by Bausch & Lomb. In addition to its improved features, they were making certain that everyone knew about the great rebate being offered. $90 off a 1 year supply. I typically only purchase 1 box at a time however went for the 1 year supply to get the rebate. I sent the rebate form immediately. On August 13, after hearing nothing from Bausch & Lomb for 2 months, I called to inquire on the status. I was told that the rebate was "entered" into their system on June 23 (3.5 weeks after I mailed it) and that it had been "accepted" but would take 6-8 weeks from receipt until the rebate was sent.

Today Sept. 24, I checked the website. My rebate shows received date as August 13 (the date of my first call) and status "fulfilled" with a comment to allow 10-14 days to receive the rebate. August 13 was 6 weeks ago so I called again. After being on the phone for 20 minutes and on hold 5 times, the call center operator continued to run through all of the scripted "I understand your inquiry, etc" text she is instructed to use. Then she said perhaps she could do something to speed it up.

After being on hold for another 10-15 minutes, she came back and said that unfortunately it would still take the normal 6-8 weeks. When I pointed out that it had been 3 months since it was received June 23, she put me back on hold. When she came back she said she had reentered my submission and that it was not "accepted" and should pay in 6-8 weeks but now there is a new tracking number. I am guessing that she did nothing but delay it further.

I do not know anyone yet that has actually received any rebate from this promotion. Seems like false advertising to sell contacts to me. I'll be switching away from B&L when these contacts are gone. I actually don't like them as well as my old ones anyway. Advice, Don't use B&L products just because there is a big rebate.

I read the front which is very confusing but it said "for soft contact lenses". I had had a lovely day and just went to wash my contact lenses because they had got dry. I put a couple of drops of this on the lens as I would any other soft contact lens solution, the pain was terrible!!!! I screamed so much my 9-yr-old son woke to see what was wrong. Finally I managed to get the lens out of my eye. My eye was completely red and I was in great pain.

This is the most terrible product and dangerous that I have ever come across! The warning on the packet is in very small print. There is no instructions as to what to do if you do get it in your eye and as someone with very short sight minus 10 when the contact lens is out. How on earth was I supposed to read the warning in small print on the top!!! This product should be withdrawn. There is no telephone number to call if you have irritation. I am now sitting here with tears running down my face from the pain. This has obviously happened to others. Please can someone get this terrible product taken off the shelves.

For many years I have used a Tesco's own brand all in one cleanser but they did not have any and I bought Bausch and Lomb all in one cleanser. As a user of contact lenses of about 20 years I am very particular on how to use solution and of course hygiene is priority. The first 2 days of use I did feel a slight stinging but it was of no worry. However, the third day when I put my left lens in, I almost fainted with the effect and pain. I knew my eye was burned and by the time I managed to get the lens out of my eye I was in agony. I continually bathed it all day long but by the time evening came I just knew I had to go to hospital. My left eye was very badly inflamed and watering continually. My right eye felt gritty and was red. Doctor gave me antibiotic cream to use and he noted what cleanser I had used, he watched me discard it in his bin.

I was traveling to London the following day, needless to say it wasted the family visit and within 2 days my right eye had now reacted also - a huge swelling and large a fluid bag hanging at the bottom just above my cheekbone. 2 visits to London pharmacies were visited trying to get relief from pain in my eyes and buying different eye creams prescribed by pharmacists. Nothing really helped and it was only when I returned on 1st September it began to look a bit better.

My hospital doctor suggested that when I returned home to see a local optician which I did today and was advised that I do not use my lenses till the itchy eyes which I am now left with stops. I am so annoyed that this product is on shelves. I never have had any reaction, and would like to know if there are others this has happened to.

Even though I had sent everything they asked me (directly from my doctor) and their own employee agreed with me...they had to send it to a black hole review board who denied what I sent in and never let me know. Then all my information disappeared and they could not see it anymore. I asked to speak to a manager and all he did was tell me that there is nothing he could do and he was incredibly rude about the situation too. I happen to know that other companies who offer rebates are much more customer service friendly and they do not make it so difficult to get your rebate back. The contact lenses themselves are fine. I have not really had any issues with the lenses. Be aware of this company...COMPLETE FAIL IN MY OPINION! Why would I give money to a company who doesn't care about me or the way they treat me?? I'm extremely careful in handling lenses and this is just not acceptable. Every pair tends to tear, some within the first 7 days or some tear during the last few days of the month. I have already placed an order with a different brand. I have no faith in B&L anymore. While the pricing seems fine, I'd rather pay a higher price for something that I know will last its tenure. I suggest if you're buying toric lenses go for anything but B&L.

I used the Bausch & Lomb Easy Sept Peroxide Solution and was unhappy with the reaction that happened to my eyes. I have been a contact lens user for over ten years. Never have I have the awful and painful reaction to my eye as I had with this solution. Not until I read the 'small print' on the back did I realize that you could not sterilize your contact lens instantly. I realize because you have put this in 'small print', this enables you to be safe from any complaints or law suits. But I am extremely angry and upset by the awful side effects caused to me when I used this solution. I would encourage you to make it clear on the front of the label in the future, as I could not see out of my left eye for two days. I will be going to the press with this complaint in the next week. I feel I should warn others about how it is misleading and how the small print on the back should be a warning on the front.

I have been using and handling my contact lenses for the past one year. And I am well aware of how to take care of my eyes in the form of contact lenses.

I opened a new set of monthly disposable lenses and wore them. After a while, I started feeling some irritation in my left eye. I removed the lens, cleaned it again and wore it. After a while, it started hurting as if some sharp edge was piercing my eye. Again I attempted to remove the lens and a small piece of lens came out, then the bigger portion came out broken.

This was astonishing. How could the lens tear in my eye, when twice I placed on my cornea so carefully? Above all, I injured my lower eyelid. It is swollen and blackened. I immediately went to an eye specialist and now my eye is under treatment.

I definitely expect a reimbursement or a replacement of my lens. For information, these lenses were purchased just a month ago, in August 2011 on the first week. I look forward to a quick response.

I purchased eye drops for re-wetting and putting in my contact lenses. The drops are in the "same" little bottle at the same price.

I opened the bottle, noticed a red cap, but since I did not have visual assistance from glasses or contacts, I did not read the warning.

The drops are concentrated protein removers and very strong solution. I burned my eye and immediately rinsed with water. However, the eye is so swollen and red, I must go to the ophthalmologist to have him determine a course of action.

I contacted B&L and was told that I should have read the teeny-weeny fine print on the bottle and not to wear contacts for a few days due to the burn.

Do we put clorox in the same bottle as coke? Would fine print exonerate the liability of the manufacturer of such products? I may be affected long term. Who knows? My eye is on fire and it is not comfortable!

This travesty must be made public. My children wear contacts. My friends wear contacts. This is dangerous and a very innocent purchasing mistake.

On April 25 2011, I woke up with bad eye irritation and thought I must have pink eye, due to stinging, watery eyes, along with vision issues. Obviously, as I wear contacts,so I took them back out and stayed home from work. Next morning, my eyes weren't crusty so I thought maybe it was allergies and put in contacts. They were in the multi-purpose solution and went on to work. On the way there, my eyes were literally getting worse by the minute. They were hazy and painful, like something was in them that I couldn't get out. The sun seemed so bright, it was bad. I work an hour from home. Finally after the drive, problem just worsened. I work in a medical office and I had my boss look at it. It didn't appear to be anything he could see. I worked for the day somehow pushed through.

I went straight to the ophthalmologist and was diagnosed with corneal edema vision loss, My sight was 20/400. Five appointments later and 30 days I am still out of work and have not scheduled to see cornea specialist. I have seen 3 doctors so far and 1 more coming up. Keratitis was the next diagnosis after edema went down. Symptoms went away but vision was still wrong. The only solution I use is ReNu multi-purpose. I was unaware of recalls. I have my bottle, taking it with me to eye hospital when I go.

I am only 30 and if a suit comes from this company, I would like to be placed in suit. If other people have had this happen please write. I might have permanent corneal damage, vision impairment, and I was also diagnosed with keratitis during this time. To any one who wants to know, it just came on out of nowhere, losing your sight is scary especially with no warning. If it so happens to be from a product marketed specifically for my eyes, I will be sick!

I have been using Bausch & Lomb non-disposable lens for the past 10 or more years in India. Recently when I moved to Muscat, I placed an order for a pair of Bausch & Lomb lens with Ridhwan Optical in Qurum. Close to about 2 months of use, I opened the lens box to find one day that my left-eye lens was torn. I was verbally promised a one-year warranty at the time of purchase by the optician.

When I took the lens to them, they refused to replace the defective lens. They have told me that they will check with Bausch& Lomb and get back to me in a week. It is about 3 weeks now and I still haven't heard anything from them. I have been using contact lenses for many years and I am well aware how to handle and maintain them.

I refuse to believe that the lens was torn because of my mishandling. I somehow even doubt that the opticians have given me a pair of disposable lenses, when I had actually asked for non-disposable ones, or they were actually defective. I have provided the name and number of the optical shop and sincerely hope that B&L will be able to address my concern, and provide me with a new of lenses, or a reimbursement. While there are other optical shops providing free replacements up to 6 months, I hope other optical like Ridhwan follow the same.

Bausch & Lomb was one of two pharmaceuticals companies that produced a medicine called Desmopressin Acetate for which I must take for the rest of my life due to a rare form of diabetes called Diabetes Insipidis. I never preferred Bausch & Lombs nasal spray. It has a funny after taste. My brand of choice was from Apotex. This month when I went to refill my prescription, I was told Bausch and Lomb bought Apotex and would be the only company producing this drug now, and they raised my prescription (which I could hardly afford) from 62.00 to $92.00! Come on, Bausch and Lomb. That's a terrible thing to do to the public! You went up $30.00 in one month just because you can! You're the only ones producing this product now and I have no other choice. Shame on you!

I went and purchased a new bottle of solution, CVS multi-purpose solution. But today, I had to throw the contacts out of the window while driving home from work because my eyes were burning so much. Am I in any kind of trouble? I also have sleep build-up on my eyes which I never get. If there's a lawsuit against them, I would like to join it and I still have the bottle for evidence. Any suggestions on what to watch for with my eyes? My eyes are still hurting, I'm afraid of what might happen to my vision. Are there any stories of people going blind?

My husband and I started using the "new" Bio True contact lens solution by Bausch and Lomb. The solution initially is fine, and contacts seemed cleaner. However, after several weeks of using this solution, both my husband and me, have been experiencing blurred vision. We notice that at times after cleaning lenses repeatedly, and putting them back in, we are still experiencing blurred vision. We have also put in new contacts to perhaps correct this problem, however, it has not helped. Subsequently, we will stop using this product. Thank You.

I recently purchased a bottle of ReNu Multipurpose Lens Solution, called "Fresh". I opened the brand new, sealed box and bottle of the product one on Saturday morning. I used the solution as I was putting in a new pair of prescription contact lens. I placed them in my eyes without any trouble. Later that same evening, I started to feel like I was coming down with something. My eyes were slightly burning and I suspected I was coming down with a fever. I took out my contact lens and took my temperature, it was a normal 96.8. The following 3 days, my eyes continued to burn and itch. I tried to refrain from rubbing them, which was hard since they felt like there was sand or grit in them.

The incident came to a head on Wednesday evening, when my eyes began to burn so severely that at one point, I could no longer open my eyes. When I tried to concentrate on opening my eyes, the burning pain in both eyes would not allow it to happen. Never in my life had I experienced anything like it before. It was terrifying. I wanted someone to take me to the hospital emergency room. My husband suggested I try taking some pain reliever and he would take me the following morning. After about 30 minutes of severe pain, I finally slept. I went to the Ophthalmologist the next day and explained my symptoms. He examined my eyes and was able to see some pitting on the surface of both of my corneas. He provided me with some lubricating eye gel and advised me to return if the problem persisted after 2 days.

Thankfully, the eye gel he provided did offer relief. But I suspect the ReNu Multipurpose Lens Solution. When I googled the ReNu product, it appears that there are other people who have experienced problems with this product. If there is a class action lawsuit against Bausch & Lomb for their ReNu product, I want my name to be added to the suit. Thank you for listening to my story.

I am writing to file a complaint regarding your Bausch & Lomb contact solution. I am a contact lens wearer and have used Bausch & Lomb Boston contact solution for many years. I contacted a bad fusarium fungal infection in my left eye which has left permanent scarring and vision loss. I am contacting you for two reasons: 1) I did use Renu twice in the weeks prior to the infection; and 2) more importantly the Boston Solution was manufactured in the same plant as the Renu solution which was recalled.

Fusarium eye infections are relatively rare and I am confident that my infection was related to the Bausch & Lomb contact solution that I used. I am a professor and mother of three and spent many months unable to work as a result of the infection and also have now experienced permanent problems working and functioning at the level I did prior to the eyesight loss.

I am writing about deceptive and environmentally irresponsible packing by the Bausch and Lomb product Boston One-Step Liquid Enzymatic Cleaner.

For a number of years, this product has been sold in a small squeeze bottle containing 5 ml of liquid for self-dispensing; retail price in Brooklyn NY at Rite-Aid was $11.99 per bottle. (FYI--this equates to approx $70/oz.)

Recently, this produce has new package in one-use only plastic vials, with each box containing 12 applications. Total volume, as stated on the box is 3 ml. (a 40% reduction) retailing for the same price of $11.99.

Not only is this price increase (disguised as new packaging) outrageous and deceptive, but it is environmentally destructive, since each application is encased in plastic applicators for I expect to be about 4 drops of liquid (the ratio of plastic to liquid boggles the mind).

Around the time the news hit the air ways about the renu comfort solution I had been having problems with my left eye burning, tearing up & generally hurting. I had to take my contacts out due to all the symptoms. One morning I looked down below my bottom eyelid to see a ***** place. I called & immediately made an eye appointment with a eye specialist. It was around the end of June 2006. I had just gotten a new prescription for ACUVUE 2 contact lens in April 2006. The eye doctor said I had a staph infection in my eye. He gave me an antiobiotic cream & I had to use hot towels on my eyes & clean my eyelids 3 times daily & insert the antiobiotic cream.

Today is the first time I have been able to wear my contacts without pain. I immediately threw away the renu solution when I heard the reports & bought optifree express lens lotions. the optifree express lotion is what I am currently wearing. I don't feel like my eyes are going to do that well because they are currently very dry for some reason & I am not seeing as well out of my contacts as I did before I got the eye infection. I have worn contacts since I was 16 years old & I am currently 53 years of age & in all that time this is the first time I have ever had an eye infection.

I bought 1 year of contact lenses in April 2006 but I don't know yet if I will be able to use them. I had to go to the eye doctor & pay for that visit & will have at least one if not 2 more visits, who knows! I had also bought some glasses in April to see far away & I have to take them off for close up. I am not able to see as clearly out of them as I did before I got the eye infection. I don't know yet if I will have to get a different prescription for my glasses & or my contacts.I don't know if I will ever be able to wear contacts again. Only time will tell at this point.

Within two weeks after using the product, my eyes started to water uncontrollably. They sting and had discharge, my vision was blurred and it felt like there was a haze over my eyes and that there was dirt in them. They were very sensitive to light and I felt severe pressure in the back of my eye along with shooting pains. I may over eight trips to the family docgtor and eye doctors over the coming months and was given numerous prescriptions from antibiotics to steroids to correct my eye problem.

The doctors could not tell me what was wrong. Now all this news has come out about the other people who had the exact same problems I had and the product is being pulled from the shelf. I even have six empty bottles that I never threw away.
