Ordered a large living room chair through Walmart-almost $1,000. After two weeks, I received an email from Walmart saying Pilot Airfreight was the shipper and to contact them to arrange a delivery date and time. When I called Pilot, they said "Oh no, we will call YOU when it ARRIVES at the warehouse destination in your area." It's now been 3 weeks and the tracking never changed from "in transit". The tracking on the Pilot website is not accurate according to the woman I spoke to at Pilot yesterday. She said it's sitting in a warehouse in my city waiting for a local delivery carrier to pick it up and deliver it to me. She said it could be another 2 weeks or so before that happens! That would make it 5 or 6 weeks after I ordered it until it arrives.

The most annoying part of this is that every time I called Pilot they indicated they simply DO NOT CARE when or IF it ever arrives. I called Walmart to complain and they said they'd send another chair. I told them PLEASE DO NOT SHIP IT through PILOT AIRFREIGHT! I think there is fraud involved here. No shipper is going to want a 100 pound large living room chair sitting around in their warehouse.... More likely it's in someone's living room that works there.

Our mattress arrived to the facility on 7/16. I recommend calling them to schedule appointments. Do not schedule online. They were supposed to come on 7/23 to deliver our mattress, but it never left the facility. So, I rescheduled for Wed 7/28 9-12. They were unable to deliver, due to lack of staff and were very helpful rescheduling. However, they were supposed to come on the 3rd attempt on 7/30/21 between 3-6pm. They arrived at 12, when I was working. Be vigilant and contact them frequently.

First off, don't bother with their tracking service. It's not accurate. It still had my freight at the origin after bouncing around. I had to call them multiple times to find it. We were given a 6 hour window for delivery. Didn't show. When I called, they said there were 2 more stops and I was I one of them. Canceled dinner plans with friends to wait on it.. Turns out my freight wasn't even put on the truck. Mix up. I would be first the next day. Next day, Never showed. I called again. Said they would get to me. I was the LAST stop and they were running late. Still waiting on my freight as I type this. Hope it finally shows.

I ordered The Better Homes and Garden PROVIDENCE Patio Set in Green on March 17, 2021. I was told to expect delivery on April 2, 2021 between 10 and 2.

I received the item with zero call backs at 5 pm that day. THREE HOURS LATER. I tried to call PILOT EARLIER BUT THEY NEVER ANSWER. There was an issue with the patio set, so I set up a puck up with Walmart CS that same day.

They gave me a pick up date of MONDAY, April 5. Pilot NEVER SHOWED OR CALLED. I called Walmart and reported this. The Rep couldn’t get Pilot on the phone for a while and finally, set up a date with them for 10:30 to 2:30 pm on THURSDAY the 8th from 10:00 to 2:00 pm. PILOT NEVER SHOWED. My husband had been dragging that heavy box of furniture in and out of our garage for two days, waiting for them to pick up.

At about 2:00 pm, PILOT CALLS. They want to set up a time to pick up the same furniture... wait for it.... ON FRIDAY the 9th!!! I ask them why aren’t you coming today as scheduled!? “We don’t come to your area on any day except Fridays.” No, apologies or anything. Not surprised. So, they are “scheduled” for TODAY for whenever they feel like picking up the Patio Set.

The shipping company Walmart chose PILOT FREIGHT SERVICES is EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. They never pick up their phone and leave you on hold for hours although their website says they are open 24/7. I have been waiting 8 hours for a DELIVERY and now another FOUR DAYS FOR A PICKUP of the SAME ITEM. They Lie. Walmart promised a 10 to 2 delivery/pickup window and PILOT ONLY DELIVERS IN AN 8 to 8 window. They are UNPROFESSIONAL AND DECEITFUL. Shame on you Walmart for using them.

Per Walmart, I was to schedule an appointment with them for delivery. My delivery date was April 1st between 10:00 and 6:00. When they never showed up I attempted to call them at their customer service number. Over 2 hours waiting on hold and I didn’t even get to speak with a representative! I finally was able to get in touch with Walmart and luckily they refunded my money because they couldn’t get in touch with them either! This entire process has been a complete waste of time! Please save yourself a headache, and have it shipped to your nearest store if possible? If not, cancel your order and find it somewhere else whom doesn’t use this company.

This has to be the most incompetent delivery service I’ve ever had the displeasure of using. If I could rate it 0 stars, I would. I ordered a mattress from Purple on March 8 and it shipped via Pilot on March 9. As I write this review on March 30, I’m no closer to having the mattress delivered than I was when I ordered it. The original delivery was scheduled for March 22 from 3-7pm. On March 21 around 4:00 pm (less than 24 hours prior to the delivery window), I received an email from Pilot saying that the delivery was rescheduled for the following week. There was no additional information provided. I called Pilot and spoke to a representative who told me that there was a “shipment delay” and that’s why it had to be rescheduled. Figuring that these things happen, I hung up and waited a week.

Fast forward to March 29 around 4:00. This time I get a voicemail stating that the mattress just arrived at their warehouse, but since they have to find an agent to deliver it, they are unable to honor the delivery window of March 30 from 3-7pm. I called Pilot back and was informed by the representative that this was “economy delivery” and there was no guaranteed date/time for delivery. She also stated that they don’t normally deliver to my area, so they had to find an agent willing to do this delivery. Why would Pilot accept this delivery from Purple if they don’t deliver to my area? So, 21 days after the order shipped, your guess is as good as mine as to if or when I’ll receive this mattress. I will NEVER again use Pilot for any delivery and will not purchase something from any retailer that ships the item via Pilot. I would recommend that you STEER CLEAR of this shipping company at all costs!!

Original Expected delivery was 3/24 and it's 3/25 - whatever no big deal I should probably get it today. HA get a text scheduling my appointment that I won't receive the package until 3/30... It is literally an hour from my house at their pilot location and they schedule an appointment for 5 days from now? 13 days from shipping until intended delivery? A company with a horse and buggy could do better. Don't bother calling you'll sit on hold for 3 hours for their 24/7 customer service. If I could give 0 stars I would.

I had no choice as to delivery company. I ordered an AC online thru Lowe's, I got notification that it had shipped with an estimated delivery date of 3/10, I checked back on the 10th, expecting some delay due to the pandemic, and according to the "tracker" it was was never picked up. I checked again on the 12th, and it had been picked up, but was still in California. Then I tried calling their 1-800 number, and was on hold for an hour, I tried again a couple of days later, item was still in California, again I was on the phone for an hour listening to the lady tell me that my call was important to them, almost asked the computer lady out to dinner, but chickened out... I'm kinda shy...

Next I called Lowe's, they couldn't get through either, but was promised they'd keep trying. Yesterday the tracker showed my a was "TRANSFERRED TO HDA BY DEST" here in town. It still has an estimated delivery date of 3/10, and today is 3/16, so I'm guessing that if I can get the governor to call out the National Guard and I write enough reviews and keep complaining, I might get it by the end of the month. Maybe.

The dishwasher I ordered arrived promptly in 10 days, but their online shipment tracking tool is useless until the product reaches your local warehouse. One star for on-time delivery, I guess. Unfortunately the dishwasher was damaged in two places. It was obviously dropped in the rear corner, smashing the sheet metal rails/brackets attaching the caster and door spring. The front door was dented at the top lip as well. And, best of all, there is about a two inch diameter splotch of what appears to be dried blood on the insulation batting. I will avoid any purchase in the future if the product vendor tells me they are using this shipping company. Hopefully the appliance vendor will make things right, but this is an avoidable inconvenience.

Upon FINALLY speaking with someone I was told my shipment had not “been scanned on the dock.” I contacted my original purchase company to complain about the shipping service. I rescheduled delivery for the following Monday (2/15/21). I received a call from Luis (the Portland warehouse manager) who told me he would personally be sure it was scanned out for delivery as soon as possible.

I ordered a dresser at the end of January. It was shipped on the 1st of February through Pilot Freight. I received tracking information through their website saying it was in transit from Orlando, Florida to Portland, Oregon and that the estimated delivery date was schedule for February 8th. The website said I needed to make an appointment for home delivery.

I tried to make an appointment online but the website said "Error: no appointments available". I called customer service on February 12th and waited on hold for about an hour and 15 minutes to be told that they couldn't get ahold of the Portland office but I could call to inquire about scheduling an appointment. I called and waited for over an hour AGAIN to be told that whoever schedules the appointments is working remotely and they would call me to schedule. I did not receive a phone call three business days later. I logged on to their website to see if anything had changed regarding my shipment. An update! "Shipment Lost". Good to know after waiting over 2 weeks.

If you get the chance to sit on hold like me, you'll learn the company lies claiming that they have fast service (not true), that they have a great tracking system online (broken) and that they are available 24/7 to assist you (but you still have to wait at least an hour to talk to anyone resulting in no answers). Unfortunately, what I ordered is sold out so I'm probably not getting a replacement. Thanks a lot Pilot Freight, you supposedly ship to over 190 countries but you can't even keep track of packages within the United States. I will be making an effort to call companies prior to purchasing large items to inquire about their freight services so that I never have to go through Pilot Freight ever again.

This review is 100 % true, I ordered a ping pong table thru Wal-Mart, which went thru Pilot Freight for delivery, tracking said it was set to arrive on 1/14/2021, it had been in transit 11 days from P.A to W.V., still ain't here, I called. Was on hold for 1 hour and 20 mins, no answer. I finally hung up, it said on tracking that it was 1 hour away on 1/14 that was untrue, because on the 15th another delivery company called that was handed the table to said they had just received the table late that night, now it should be here in 3 days. Please don't pick this place, if you have a choice, I didn't know Wal-Mart used these people, I take FedEx or Ups anyway, I never have an issue. Their tracking is up to date, there's no excuse for leaving a person on hold while music plays for over an hour!!! That's the part that upsets me the most. They could not locate the desk. I asked the Hayward rep for the contact info of the IL terminal, but they refused to give it. REALLY! So I did my own research and easily found it myself. I contacted the IL terminal to launch an investigation on their end. Spoke to the manager directly who assured me that he would contact me at the end of business day with an update. He did not. What a disappointment.

If a company's management is unreliable, then what can you expect of all other branches they oversee. After weeks of ME FOLLOWING UP, they basically told me... "Just file a claim." What was their excuse... "Oh we ship thousands of packages daily." REALLY? Of corse you do, that is your SOLE SERVICE to customers. But how can a shipping company misplace/lose a 250lb 5' long, 4' high & 3' deep METAL DESK painted WHITE???

Now if Amazon and Walmart can ship MILLIONS of items of varying weights and sizes from as small as a pen to as large and heavy as a full size fridge, there is absolutely no excuse at all for a FREIGHT company that handles mainly large packages to lose a large metal desk. Fortunately I purchased an added insurance coverage... But it will take about half a year to resolve. Let the reviews advise you... And don't commit the same mistake. I do NOT recommend Pilot. They need to close down if they can't fulfill their singular function... shipping.

It came into their warehouse on Friday and they called me to schedule a delivery. We scheduled it for Monday from 10 to 1. Monday came, the entire time I was worried we were waiting for naught (because of the reviews), but around noon they got there with my package. No issues came up that were mentioned in other reviews. After scheduling and waiting the entire time, the pilot delivery company failed to inform me that they were not coming. I emailed the company the next day to reschedule for same day drop off. When the pilot delivery driver brought the tv inside, my wife plugged in the tv, turned it on to find the entire viewing area of the screen had been shattered. I would not recommend this company to ship products.

So, I recently ordered a new pellet grill, a large pellet grill. The size of the product means it is a very large box, takes up a good portion of a pallet, and weighs almost 150lbs. My interaction with Pilot on delivery day and prior was entirely professional, courteous, and prompt. They showed up about 20 minutes into their 5 hour window. The driver was very nice. He put it where I wanted it and as he was wrapping up I noticed that the box was a little misshapen. I mentioned it to him and he stated that if there is an issue with the product I would have to submit a claim on their website. I started the unpacking process and as expected, the product was damaged. Looks as though it was other rammed or squeezed. No biggie.

I contacted the reseller as I figured they would want to know that they would be getting a grill back and that I would need another one sent to me asap. They informed me that they would be contacting the freight company and they would coordinate the pickup of the damaged product. However, the day the pick up was to happen came and went with no one showing up. The reseller isn’t getting anywhere with Pilot and I am now waiting on Pilot’s antiquated system to update, which apparently takes about 24-48 hours, and show my damage claim in their system so they can pick up the damaged goods. I’ll update this review upon completion of the return.

They delivered the second one today and the whole top of the dresser is coming off, the side is split, the back has cracks all over it, and the corner is bent downward. I can’t even move this dresser off my front porch due to the lack of a top. Two deliveries with this company and what a HORRIBLE experience. I’ve waited 3 weeks for the replacement to be delivered only for it to be in worse shape than the first one was. It looks like they dropped the thing and just went “oh well”. This company is a joke and should really consider actually taking care of their customers and furniture that other people paid for and expect to be delivered intact. I don’t think that’s too much to ask for.

When it was in the warehouse, a very friendly rep called me to schedule a delivery. I stayed home during the 4-hour window, was called by the driver halfway through the window time, and the kayak arrived at my door precisely 20 minutes after the driver's call. The multitude of 1-star reviews had me worried sick that there was unprofessional conduct that would prevent the kayak from being delivered easily and safely. This company is a joke. I purchased a dining room table and Pilot Freight made a mess of the shipment. I waited for a phone call to schedule shipment to my house. After the package sat in their warehouse for a few days, I ended up calling Pilot and they scheduled the shipment for the following week. A couple days later I receive a phone call from another customer of theirs who received my table by mistake. He was nice enough to contact Pilot and wrap the table back up. I then proceeded to contact Pilot myself and they said they were "investigating" and would call me back. I never received that phone call.

A couple days go by and I call to check if my original ship date was still applicable. They stated that it would be shipped that Tuesday between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. I stayed home from work and of course the package never shows up. I call around 3 p.m. and the agent states that the table is still at the customer's house that they mistakenly delivered to. At this point, I'm fed up. I demand the package arrive that day and through some fumbling around they end up sending someone to deliver the table that evening. How are they still afloat with such incompetent business practice? Businesses and individuals should stay away from Pilot Freight Service.

We ordered a new TV through Amazon. Suddenly, we were hit with a 1 month wait period. I almost cancelled the TV, but my other TV is fine, and I wasn't in a rush. We waited patiently for it to arrive, and when the day came, we called to verify. They said, "It's en route in our neighborhood." We were excited because we basically had to wait so long. As we were waiting, I happen to look at the shipping company's ratings, that's when my heart sunk. They had 1.5 stars, and almost every review said the same thing... "They busted my product! They never arrived....NEVER ARRIVED!!" Some people played show-up games with them, and lost a lot of money and time waiting around for them.

Pilot's manager, when we called was more angrier than us with her employees, and begged to set up another appointment. I said to my wife," I am done!" But, my wife lives in a more optimistic place, so she made another delivery schedule, and she waited around (3rd appointment.) Another no-show. Also, you can tell there is a problem, because when you call and they say, "We'll call you back," but THEY NEVER DO. Try it...tell them to call you back. They never will.

Today, we tried to cancel the TV but Amazon won't until a couple of more days. Pilot said, "We have had shipping problems due to overload from Amazon, and we can't complete their orders." This is a direct quote from PILOT management. If they are telling you they can't do it, then the company has completely given up. Call them, you'll hear the desperation in their voice. Cancel your order NOW and tell AMAZON not to ship with Pilot Shipping. Better yet, cancel AMAZON entirely. They are too distracted with politics to be bothered with your order.

I was finally contacted and provided much-needed details and context. While I am still unhappy about the initial curtness and vague answers I was provided this morning, the associate who contacted me this afternoon was very candid, apologetic, and concerned. Companies need to provide their customer service reps with all the facts that they are able to relay the information to their customers as appropriate. I believe this was just very poor planning by the higher-ups in a company.

I received an automated call that my delivery was canceled and immediately contacted the Chicago office to inquire as to why this happened. I spoke to a very kind receptionist who provided me with the answers that she has been given, but I find them unacceptable. First, I would be more understanding if I lived in the Loop or maybe even a neighborhood immediately surrounding the Loop; however, I live up in Lakeview. Secondly, the young lady mentioned road closures; as one can see from this article, Chicago roads were actually reopened this morning - **. I understand that safety is important, but to cancel shipments for everyone in the greater Chicago area indefinitely is a ridiculous move.

Large shipments often require planning (working with apartment staff, scheduling use of freight elevators, etc.). It is unreasonable to believe that your staff would be placed in immediate danger to make a delivery 40 minutes away in a neighborhood that has not experienced violent protests. It is unreasonable to penalize 8 to 9 million people for activity that is largely occurring in one small sector. It is unreasonable to indefinitely halt individuals' orders. Perhaps it would take more work on your end to determine which deliveries could be performed and navigate how best to complete these orders, but in these times, all are having to go above and beyond their normal duties. To cancel everything is lazy and unprofessional. I will certainly be sharing my disappointment on every form of social media to which I have access.

I cannot be more dissatisfied. My delivery window is from 11 o’clock to 3 o’clock. At 3 o’clock I had to contact the company when my delivery had not arrived. The dispatcher was unapologetic and was unable to give me an updated time frame. The delivery arrived 2 1/2 hours late! The driver was again unfriendly and unapologetic. At any point if an apology had been given or if my time had been taken into consideration I would feel differently. But that is not the case. That is simply unacceptable. I hope to never do business with Pilot again.

My expected delivery day still says 12/20 but as of 12/27 still no tv and no updates as to when it will get here. Ordered a TV from Dell in December 1. Dell shipped the item to Pilot for local delivery on Dec 2. Tracking the item, it appears to have arrived in the local area on December 5. No one calls to schedule delivery for 5 days so I call them (their website does not allow scheduling even though there is an “option”, it doesn't work.). December 11 I finally get ahold of a real person after being on hold for 26 minutes. I am told no one is in my area until the following week. Bummed I have to wait another full week, we schedule the delivery for December 18 between 9 am and 1 pm.

I take the day off work. I wait for the delivery. I receive no call and no one shows up. I call Pilot and after being on hold for 17 minutes someone finally picks up and says they will try to reach the driver and they put me on hold. I wait on hold for a full 30 minutes. At this point, I hang up. No one calls me back. No one ever shows up all day. In the following days I try to contact them and each time there is a long hold time and I am told they are looking for my item and they will call me back. NO ONE EVER CALLS BACK.

Finally, in December 26, after I follow up for the 7th time, I am told my item is lost and I need to contact Dell. So not only can they not deliver an item, not inform a customer of delivery (or non-delivery) status, but they can’t let the vendor that contracts with them that they lost the shipment...that is somehow my problem. I have spent over 4 hours on the phone in addition to the lost day I stayed home to wait for the delivery that never came. This is way too much work on my part for an item I ordered, paid for, and expected to be delivered within 5 to 7 days. THE ABSOLUTE WORST.

I'd never heard of Pilot when I received a call wanting to schedule delivery of a Dell order. They called after the "Estimated Delivery Date" provided by Dell and couldn't come that day (too soon), nor before Christmas, so we scheduled for the 26th, 1300-1700 MST. This was a take-it-or-leave-it proposition, so I accepted their times, rescheduling a long-standing appointment. Based on that, I was up late Christmas night, assembling Xmas items. Heard but did not get to a call at 0802 a.m. It was Pilot; I called them back and had the misfortune to get "Terri".

Terri was initially very put out that I didn't have a delivery # or shipment # (how would I, these are proprietary to Pilot and I don't have access...); she let me know with guffaws of derision that it was pretty preposterous of me to even be calling without knowing why they'd called at 8 and having everything they might need at the ready. Eventually, she hung up on me.

Initially assuming a connection issue my end, I called back. Got Terri again and she stated it "would be no problem" to find out by asking another employee what the purpose of the original early morning call was. I said I'd hold while she did that and was informed that, in saying "it would be no problem" what she meant was, "it would be huge problem and that she was unwilling to attempt it." By accepting her offer, I was just asking far too much of her and of Pilot Freight Systems. I speak English & French fluently, Spanish, German and Dutch somewhat but realized I apparently don't know what the words "it would be no problem" mean in any language. They mean, in Terri-speak, 'it would be huge problem and I am being disingenuous with you.' Now I know.

Once we got that established, she told me "you're being very difficult" and hung up on me again - no question that time, it was Terri and she had again disconnected the call. She was schooling me that she, her schedule and her shipment tracking numbers are very important, Dell and its customers, their schedules and expectations are not important. I get it!

On my 3rd call, I got Maurice and had a completely different experience. He was able to find my shipment even w/out the mysterious, proprietary numbers and said Terri had been calling to confirm the appointment. Well, no need to confirm or to test the customer's awareness of these unknown numbers. No need to call 1st thing in the morning the day after Christmas to track the tracking of a shipment that hasn't been delivered yet. I'm mean, we'd already made an appointment to schedule delivery at Pilot's convenience on our last call, take it or leave it, and nothing had changed as far as I know...

Anyway, that's it. They missed the estimated delivery time, called me, set a delivery appointment, called me again about that delivery which hadn't yet happened, then were rude and put out that I didn't have their magic numbers at my fingertips (so that, if they call needing reassurance, they won't be inconvenienced in the slightest by their customer who, after all, are just being difficult), hung up on me when I returned their call, finally were overly brisk/overly officious on each of two calls & quite full of yourselves (read "entitlement mentality").

So, now I know: Pilot Freight is at the epicenter of the known universe which revolves around Terri; whereas Dell, its customers, Amazon (of which I am a Prime member), Sam's (of which I am a 12-year member) are not important; so always be at the ready, any hour, day or night to accommodate this trucking company. As I said, avoid.

On December 12, I received an email stating that the delivery would be accomplished between 12-3 pm. Well, after sitting around the house on the 13th until 530 with no treadmill in sight, I decided to call Pilot. I talked with a gentleman who informed me that it would not be delivered today, and he wasn’t sure of the status of the delivery. I called back on Monday, December to set up a delivery for December 17. I asked one simple favor, please call me 30 minutes prior to showing up so I can break away from work, which was less than 10 minutes from my house. I wasn’t going to take time off of work for a possible 2nd failed delivery. I was thankful my wife was home (albeit ill), because the driver showed up at our doorstep without calling me first. Had she not been home, there would’ve been a 3rd attempt at this.

All in all, my initial impressions of this company is that they are failing at effective communication. This facet is paramount for a business that revolves around customers to succeed. No phone call was provided to me for the first failed delivery attempt. No call was made 30 minutes prior to the delivery on the 17th, and quite frankly, I don’t think this company cares. Just as long as they’re making money hand over foot during the holiday season then it’s mission accomplished. I hope consumers read this, and realize there are more seasoned, effective parcel services out there, and they will get the job done better than this goat rope of a company.

Despite being scanned as having arrived at the destination station on 12/9, we were called and delivery was set up for Thursday, 12/12 between 9 and 1. As it is a busy time of year we were OK with the delivery being after the original date. Someone took a day off and was at home. On 12/12 at 8:30AM we got a status update that said it was out for delivery. Then at 9:30 I got a call that said they couldn't get it on the truck and they would have to reschedule. Someone would call me later in the day or Friday morning.

At 1 on Friday I call. I end up with someone who decided that a 'dock check' needs to be done-someone physically looking for the box. At that point I call the manufacturer. At 4:15 the manufacturer calls me back and tells me Pilot has convinced them to not submit a reorder. At 5:45 on Friday afternoon Pilot calls me and tells me they can't find the box and I should contact the manufacturer and ask them to reorder. They don't care that it is now after 5 PM on a Friday and we will lose another 3 days.

Pilot finally notifies the manufacturer on Sunday, 12/15 that they have officially lost it. Now the only problem is that the piece is out of stock and won't be available until mid January. This was the only present my disabled daughter asked for. I ordered it in November and now it won't be here until late January. It appears that Pilot manipulates the scans, as it never was out for delivery. I wonder if it ever made it to the destination station. If you have a choice in shippers do not use Pilot.

I ordered an LG 86 Inch TV during Thanksgiving Black Friday from Dell.com. It was shipped by Pilot Freight Service. I was curious about Pilot delivery service which I have never experienced before, so I checked the internet and found many negative feedbacks on them. I even found a review showing an exactly 86 inch LG TV delivered by Pilot was seriously damaged into pieces. I was very scared that my TV might be ended up broken in pieces too. My TV arrived in their Warehouse on Monday. They scheduled to deliver 5 days later on Friday. That was the only thing I didn't like. It took too a little bit too long to make the delivery. That is the reason I subtracted one star from this review.

They scheduled a delivery window of 4 hours during day time, so I took one day off to wait at home. Suppose they would have called prior the delivery to make sure there are people at home to accept the delivery since the signature was needed, but they never called, but they did deliver within the scheduled time window. I heard the driver knocked on the door, and I only saw the driver himself. Didn't see another one. Was wondering how he would handle the big screen TV box with over 160 pounds. I was surprised. He handled it pretty well.

First he dropped down the TV from the truck carefully and landed on driveway, then he slid a dolly underneath the TV and hauled into my house with ease. The TV box was in great shape without any dent or damages to it. The next day I opened the box and examed the TV. It was in great condition without any issues. So I think it depends on who delivers the products. It doesn't mean you read bad reviews and the service is definitely bad. Anyway, my experience with Pilot was great. For whatever reason he did not have a dolly. I went out to help him push it but he yelled at me about "not telling" him to go up the driveway (which I did). He was very rough with the item and literally yelled at me. He also gave up pushing when he was about 5 ft from the door, left it there and stormed off without a signature. So now I'm stuck with this huge/expensive item outside until my husband gets home to help move it. I'm completely baffled on how this man can act this way and still have his job. If I find out my item is damaged I will be even more upset. I'd give them negative stars if I could!

Not even sure what that means. Week two comes around and I can finally schedule a delivery date. I schedule for a date 4 days later (earliest available) for 11am - 3pm. After 6pm came around and I had no delivery I reached out to support. They got in contact with the station and contacted the driver and they said the driver was on the way and he was 30 minutes out.

2 hours later I call again. No delivery, no contact. The office is now closed, I took a day off of work so I can receive the delivery and the company never came, never reached out, never updated the status of the package. These people are borderline useless, I can't wait till they lose their contracts with Walmart from how bad they are. If you have a delivery coming from them, just know it's going to come late, don't even hope for it to come on time.

I was nervous when I read all the bad things people had to say on here when this company was delivering my TV. I am happy to say its another case of "only angry people post reviews" since the experience was great! Firstly I was getting a warranty replacement from Vizio which came in the factory box but it also came in a second box with heavy bubble corner padding prepared by Pilot themselves, in order to protect the TV. It was supposed to arrive Thursday but I had some time on Tuesday and after a short call to Pilot customer service the polite lady informed me to call the local branch and gave me a number. I did that and informed them I had time Tuesday and the lady at the warehouse simply took my order number, asked what time would good for me and said, "OK. We will be there!"

The truck driver called me 25 minutes before he arrived and promptly showed up when he said he would. He carried the TV in and to my surprise started setting up the new TV for me. He was very professional and set up the whole TV for me and took the old one for me. The whole experience was painless and would ship with them again if I needed something large shipped.

It is thoroughly late, and we have never been so exhausted dealing with a company before. I expected that paying extra for a more deluxe shipping would meant actually receiving the product. By October 22, no one knew where my television was...it mysteriously disappeared off the docks in California. It took a few more days before Dell sent a replacement order. That took place on October 25th, and Pilot was PAID to deliver the television through Next Day PM service. Now, it is October 28th, and Pilot is not answering phone calls. I reached out to Dell and they were able to contact someone at Pilot, who said that the television would be delivered by October 31st or November 1st.

They picked up the first broken tv; it took a while but nonetheless they were on time. Every single time they called beforehand, came within the time window all three times. The delivery men were extremely friendly and caring, I had no issues with Pilot whatsoever. The third tv I had delivered they had set to make sure everything was working, but that was only because Vizio requested it. I am in Maryland, if that helps any.

Rove uses Pilot, and this has been one of the worst customer experiences I have ever been through. They have had an entire month to schedule the delivery of 1 piece of furniture. The first person I talked to said the item never made it to New Jersey (the delivery is in New York) and told me to call the Vancouver office because it is located there. I called the Vancouver office and they said they don't know why they sent me there, the item never came to Vancouver and that it is actually in New York.

I spoke to someone in New York and they said they don't have the piece and that Pilot cant actually do the delivery because they don't offer white glove service, so it has to be outsourced somewhere else and it hadn't been assigned to another company yet. I asked why it hadn't been assigned they didn't know so i asked to be transferred to the assigning department. At that department they said that it actually had been assigned to a company called NET, however NET hasn't verified that they have the piece. Turns out Pilot has completely lost the bed. This won't be delivered on time (tomorrow) and we have absolutely no idea when it will actually be delivered because the company lost the bed. I really hope any place I order from never uses this company again.

I had to take time off work to meet their schedule. The TV they delivered was so trashed that if they had been 400% more careful with it, it still would have been broken in several places. Dell uses this company for TV deliveries instead of a company that might actually have a local office like UPS or FedEx. They call you two hours before delivery on a business day and you have to meet them because there’s no center to hold it at. Then they deliver 50 pounds of destroyed garbage at your house. Then you have to figure out what you’re supposed to do with it while you try to track down someone to assist you.

I cannot believe a major Company like Dell would use this fly-by-night joke of a delivery service and I probably won’t bother with Dell again either, just knowing the risk I’m taking by giving them my money. Please do not subject yourself to Pilot if you have any other option and if the website you’re ordering from doesn’t offer an alternative, find a better website.

I don't leave reviews often, but after seeing what others have said about Pilot Freight (and being skeptical about whether the positive reviews were fake or not), I figured that I should give my two cents. Rather than Pilot delivering directly, they contracted Advantage Courier Service, LLC out of Knoxville, TN to deliver to my out-of-the-way area. I was very pleased with the quality of the delivery. The guy (Chris) was friendly, called in the morning to make sure that he could deliver that day, showed up in the scheduled time window, and helped me unload the (very large) freezer onto my porch. We bantered a bit, and I gave him a tip for his quality service. I didn't see any damage on the unit either, which I was admittedly quite worried might happen along the way from Illinois to Tennessee.

Unfortunately, when contractees like this company receive an item through Pilot to deliver, they often catch flack from customers for the upstream shipper's faults and don't receive the praise for what they have done well, because customers think that the secondary couriers work for Pilot. As such, the contractees need to be praised or faulted for their own work and not instead of the contractors.

Concerning Pilot Freight itself, I can't complain. They sent a confirmation e-mail of my item being shipped to me, asked me to schedule a date for delivery via their website, and followed up at the scheduled point, with a fine quality contractee. I was expecting the worst but came out quite pleased. I don't know if this occasion was a fluke, but if I could duplicate this experience in the future, then I'd be perfectly fine using Pilot Freight again.

I don't doubt the positive reviews, but I can assure you they had to be extremely lucky not to have a damaged product. They did call to set up a time, and they were actually on time, but did not call before arriving. That's the only positive thing I can say. It was only 1 person delivering this 86" TV. He let it dropped off his truck from one side, set it up straight and let it drop down again, and it bounced. And pushed the box up the drive to the porch. I have security cameras and had to go back to see how this was brought to my porch.

He brings the box in with the help of my Son. I notice the box has a huge gaping hole on the bottom, and everything was wrapped in plastic. As soon as I mentioned something, the guy took off, didn't even wait to let us open it and inspect it. The entire bottom of the box was just completely damaged, like a forklift went straight through it. We opened the box and the TV had cracks everywhere, bottom to top, left to right. I have never seen anyone handle an item like this, and why send one person to do a 2 man job? I purchased my TV through PC Richard & Son, and they only use Pilot as their delivery company. I had to cancel my order with them, and have them pick this back up, and purchase it from somewhere else. I'm telling you now, if you purchase anything that uses Pilot, look elsewhere. They arrived - ripped my neighbor's cable down and had to carry the bed from up the street to my house. They set up the bed but appeared to be in a hurry. I didn't get an owner's manual and, after they left, I found my mattress warranty floating in a puddle of water in my drive. My contract also stated they would remove the old mattress. They refused unless I paid $20 for the mattress and $20 for the box springs. I am not finished with Pilot yet. I have already called Craftmatic to get a quick lesson on how to use my bed and to tell them I still have the old mattress. I will call them back Monday to further advise them. I am not a happy camper with Pilot. I just hope I never have to use them again.

Original Review: I ordered a Craftmatic bed and it was delivered to Cleveland, Ohio on April 18. As of April 25 it was still sitting in Cleveland. Pilot told me they were having a problem getting it delivered. Talked to Craftmatic and they had it sent to Columbus, Ohio. I ordered the bed over two weeks ago. Craftmatic is trying to get it delivered but I talked to Pilot a little while ago and they said they were having a problem with Craftmatic beds. I am so disappointed in Pilot but Craftmatic has been trying to get the bed to me. As of right now the bed is sitting in Columbus, Ohio. If I weren't a senior citizen I'd arrange to pick it up myself and put it together but that is not possible. I feel I am at their mercy. After reading all the rest of the reviews I am not surprised at this. I just hope Craftmatic will start using someone else for deliveries.

Further, the representative advised I was about 60 miles from them and I would be one of the last stops and that she would call the driver directly for a better ETA.

A short time later, the woman advised she spoke with the driver and he was on his way and would be calling me in a few minutes. 3 1/2hrs later, nothing. I called the warehouse again and was advised (by a different representative) that several other people have called reporting their time frames had passed and the driver was behind and, “he would be out all night until he’s completed his deliveries.”

I asked the woman if she can call the driver to see about an ETA and she reported she could not, she needed to email the company directly (the previous person said she talked to him so who is not telling the truth?). She said wait a little bit longer to see if he calls (mind you it’s now 8pm at the time of this conversation). As of this review it’s 915pm and nothing. This shipping was $150. My whole day needed to be changed to accommodate this. DO NOT USE. Before purchasing item, ask who will be delivering the item. If it’s Pilot Freight request a change or shop elsewhere. In this dog eat dog and competitive world of logistics I would think they would be more carefully with the freight that they haul. This was a high profile project that needed undamaged and delivered on time, this didn’t happen. Very disappointed. Wasn’t offered any above and beyond help with the matter, it was a phone call that said, "Do you want it damaged or not!" I would not recommend them for any shipping needs.

After calling the customer service and still getting attitude I decided to call the original company I bought from, told them what happened, and requested a replacement and asked if they could use a different delivery service other than Pilot (thankfully they will). I have never in my life have so much trouble from a company. I ordered a mattress and box springs. It was supposed to be delivered on March 14th. It wasn't. Then ON Friday March 15th we get a call roughly 9 am stating they would be at our house between 12-3 pm. At 4 pm my husband called to see where our delivery was at. The gentleman told my husband we were marked down for not being home. (WHICH WE WERE HOME ALL DAY). The guy then told my husband he would call back in 10-15 minutes. Their guy said "it had been marked by mistake and that our mattress and box springs wasn't even on the truck." The guy then stated "the earliest they could get us our mattress was Monday when they came back down this way but if we really needed it they could bring it on Saturday."

Around 6:15 pm on March 15th their guy called back and said "As we were opening the box we noticed that the mattress was damaged and it looked like a fork lift had been run through it. Do you want it?" My husband told the guy if it was damaged we did not want it. I called the company about what we were told and asked about a replacement and how long it would be. The company said that the delivery company had marked it down that we accepted it and that I SIGNED for it. NO one ever came to our home at all that day.

I have been on the phone for several hours talking to Pilot and the company we ordered from. NO one seems to know what is going on or Where our mattress is. I called On Monday and Pilot said they emailed the company twice about the damage but the company has no record of it at all. I called again today Wednesday and the company said that Pilot updated their system as our mattress being delivered today at 11:00 am. Again no one has came to our home. ON my screen for tracking it has been delivered 3 times but yet not delivered to our home. I am beginning to think this company or employees might be doing some backdoor sales and lying to their customers. It has been almost a week of talking to Pilot and I feel like I am trying to negotiate a hostage deal and losing. BUYER BEWARE.

You'd think that with a logistics company they would at least know the basics of how to get packages from Point A to Point B. Unfortunately with Pilot Freight, this is not the case -- it's far from it. Day after day floods of complaints from customers who either have not received their items roll in. If you have the misfortune of having an item being delivered by Pilot, you can expect the following:

    1.) Lost items.
    2.) Broken/damaged items.

3.) Missed deliveries (Sometimes up to six in a row!).

With the number of service failures these guys have, it's a shocker how they still manage to stay afloat. There's a reason that companies such as FedEx and UPS are the top go-to for shipping items, cause they know what they're doing, actually work to address issues as they come up, and have a solid reputation. Instead of boasting your inflated numbers in a desperate attempt to bump your poor ratings, maybe figure out why your items keep going missing or arrive broken so you don't piss off every single customer you deal with. Also, stop treating your employees terribly and maybe you won't have as much turnover and short staffing.

On Dec. 7th, I received an e-mail from Pilot Freight Delivery, saying they have the item, but to schedule a date to have it delivered to my house, since it needs to be signed. So, I picked the next available date of December 15, between the hours of 9 am to 1 pm. On Dec. 15, I decided to call at about 12:30 pm to make sure, the delivery is on its way. To my surprise, I find out, that they need to locate or find the freight in which my item came in. Was told, that I should receive a call in about half an hour, to try and deliver on that day. Did not hear back from anyone, and so 2 hours later I call back to find out the status, and they are still trying to locate, but can't give me a timing.

At this point, I decide to take a step further, and call a rep. from Jet.com, and to both our surprise turns out the delivery people or person from Pilot Freight never picked up my item. So, I was lied by the people at Pilot Freight Services. Luckily, I've been fully reimbursed by Jet, who are not at fault, but I should have advised them to look into another delivery service moving forward. I was sent two emails (the second with a tracking number). It arrived in my city last Friday I heard nothing. I waited all week. No calls. No emails. We called today and the CS rep. We had to ask her to actually check on it to which she replied, "I can try to call, but I don't think they'll even answer the phone", followed by silence.

After a few seconds I had to ask her to try. Needless to say they did answer and "Lisa" told me that my package was still at the airport and 'had not yet been cleared for release'. That seemed fishy so I called the airport and of course they wouldn't do anything like that. After a few more calls I was told that it was released and I should get a call from the courier in a couple of hours. I demanded that all the details be sent to me via email.

Needless to say, nothing happened except a single 'thank you we're working on it' email and an update to the bill of lading reflecting one of the call I made (no details aside from time and date), else I would not be writing this review. So I had never heard of Pilot Freight, but when I saw that Amazon was using them as a 3rd party shipping company I was a bit worried. I have had less than great experiences with any shipping outside of the big boys of the industry. I decided to look them up and I was absolutely terrified after reading all of the horror story reviews of peoples experiences. My experience was so much the opposite that I felt compelled to leave my own review and balance out the scales a little bit.

I chose my delivery time and date at checkout and there was no issues with that. I had no contact with the shipping company prior to shipping day. Email was provided should I need to make any changes prior to the day of. Window was 12-3. They called around 12:30 to say that they were 30 minutes out. Upon arriving they gave me no issues and box was in pristine condition. They entered the house, placed the TV in the room of my choosing, unpacked it, installed the mounting legs, powered it on to test function and that the screen was intact. They were clean and cordial. Removed the shipping straps and were going to remove the box but left it at my request.

My absolute only issue was that when they were maneuvering the TV to put the legs on they pivoted it from the bottom to the side using the corner to roll it that way. That puts the entire weight of the TV on the corner for a moment and can cause cracking of the bezel and/or screen. To the best of my knowledge he did support some of the weight while flipping it and in the end there was no issue. I just figured that If I had to pick one thing, and there only was one, to address as a negative that would be it. Not enough in my mind to downgrade my experience to a 4 star.

After talking to numerous people (one of which was very rude and lacked entire compassion!) they allowed us to have them hold it and we could physically pick it up. When we show up the next day, they said it was out for delivery! We were shocked! I had to escalate the issue to the manager and came to find not one single person documented any of my calls or to even hold the item. He had to handle the issue and now we have to return out of our way to pick it up the following day.

To make matters worse, I escalated my complaint to corporate only to be met with continued incompetence. The customer service rep took down all the information and then was to transfer me to the appropriate party to file my complaint. I was met with an extremely rude and condescending female in the claims department who didn’t handle my complaint seriously. It got to the point where she made it sound like she was going to jot down the complaint on a Post It note (or pretend). I asked if she was even the right person to speak with. She said no, I need to talk to customer service. I told her I already talked to them and they told me that where they were transferring me to the complaints department. She told me no such Department existed and that she could transfer me back to them.

I ended up hanging up. Let’s just say this company is literally rotten to the core, so much so that I don’t even know if resolution would come speaking to the head of Pilot personally. Shame on Walmart for forcing people to deal with companies like Pilot just so they can save a couple bucks. This definitely puts a bad taste in my mouth for Walmart.com as well.

Reading the other reviews is comforting only because we all share a bad experience and it isn't just the oddness of the DMV or me. My husband and I ordered laminate flooring from Walmart and this company delivered lies, lateness and borked laminate. The first pallet of 12 boxes was 4 days late (we rescheduled with Pilot) once, and 1 box had been smashed on the corner. Ok. That can happen. The second delivery of 12 boxes was 2 days late getting to Pilot. They called to let me know and said they would call when the order arrived. No one called when it came 2 days later. I waited 2 more days, checked the webpage with my tracking number, saw that the laminate was in the warehouse, and called. The man said he couldn't get it to me for another 4 days. I pushed and he moved it up to 3 days.

Ok, scheduled for delivery on Monday morning between 9-12. I take off work because I must sign for delivery. At 1:30 I call Pilot because the laminate hasn't arrived and they cannot reach the driver to find out what's up. They left a message and said they'll call me back. At 3pm I call, same story. Then I call Walmart because either the truck has been in an accident, the driver is taking a really long lunch, or Pilot overbooked the driver. Within 30 minutes of my call to Walmart, Pilot calls to tell me that the delivery will happen by 5pm. The driver apparently thought he only had one delivery in my hometown late afternoon, not one in the morning as well.

The driver arrives at 5:10pm. He apologizes for being late, stating that he was overbooked. My laminate is on the floor of the truck near the door. The pallet it is on is busted up and a second pallet - one used for food products generally - is underneath it. I ask what happened to the pallet and the driver tells me that the laminate arrived at the warehouse on the broken pallet and he moved it onto the better pallet. Hmmm. My husband comes out to move the laminate because the driver just leaves it at the front gate. My husband notices that the wrapping is all borked and that there are feet marks on top of the laminate boxes. Short story, 3 of the boxes were messed up but he hasn't opened the middle of the 12 which were bent slightly backwards because of the messed up pallet.

I call Pilot and they say now that the air shipping company (not them, which is odd because Pilot runs the air freight part too) messed up the pallet. They also tell me that the delivery was supposed to be for the afternoon. This is a flat out lie, which I point out, because the computer posted the schedule for the morning. Basically someone is lying or everyone at Pilot is lying. How do they stay in business? Because they are so willing to eat the costs of me shipping back broken laminate to Walmart to replace the lost material.

I'm not sure where to start with these people. First delivery with these people I receive a damaged product. The replacement been sitting in their warehouse for 2 days. I had to call them to schedule a delivery. They refuse to have two people carry a 90 pound item plus some weight with the box itself. I spent discussing that with their manager and she hung up on me. The same company has to pick up my original damaged item and why not pick it up the same day you drop off the replacement because they want to make it more difficult for you and clearly waste the company's time and money.

I'm almost certain I will receive another damaged product from the Los Angeles warehouse and when they come get both items due to their inconsiderable and unprofessional dealings I will refund the item and simply buy it elsewhere. Not to mention I originally had a 2 day shopping and the first time was delayed 5-7 days and again another 5-7 days. Sellers are using this company for their own benefit because it is cheaper than using USPS, UPS or FEDEX. Never heard of them. When doing my due diligence I was seeing on this site how horrible the customer experience dealing with the shipment process... Delayed or loss of shipments, products being damage on arrival. Just like anyone else I panicked and worried my 4000$ TV was going back in glass pieces to Dell because of poor care handled by "PFS". Surprisingly it went well.

When your order is ship I would immediately call customer service (1-800 number) to make sure your shipping info was right which it was. They advise me to call the Houston destination HUB Monday when shipment arrived at destination hub (mine was in Houston Tx). On delivery day the driver and the HUB will contact you to inform how far he is from your place and call when he arrives. I was wrong about Pilot and they were very understandable along this whole process. Ask for Michelle if you're setting up your delivery appointment ordering if in the TX area. She is very understanding. Order on the 19th came in on the 25th 5 -6 days.

Luckily for me I work 7 minutes from home. I get to my apartment complex and they have shoved the box into the foyer of the front of my building, blocking the interior door as well as the outside door.

I asked the guy if he would take it to the 2nd floor - he said no. I said, "You can't leave it there like that. It's a fire hazard." He replied, "We just deliver it," and the 2 guys took off. I am a 45 year old woman, with a 105 lb couch blocking other tenants from getting in and out of our building. The couch itself is nice - the half that I got at least. This has literally been the worst experience with online shopping I have ever had. On my first attempt at this order, Amazon messed up by shipping only half of the couch and considering it an entire order. In addition, the freight company they used gave me a 12-hour window on a work day in which they did not show up until the very end of. I had to then get on the phone with Amazon to get a replacement order, in which I had to go through 4 different people until I found someone who know what they were doing to reorder my couch and take the half I had back. They made the mistake of shipping with the same morons as before though who, this time, gave me another 12-hour window in which they "attempted" to deliver it a week later.

They came in the middle of the day rather than at night this time but luckily my roommate was home. Unluckily, waiting any longer than 2 minutes is too much for Pilot freight and shipping despite them giving you a 12 hour window. After getting a call from them at 1:53 PM, I call back at 1:56PM and the guy has already left and now they won't deliver it for another week! I also have a security camera, so I checked the recording just to be sure. My roommate actually went to the door to meet the guy and he had already left at the same time they were calling me. They did not bother waiting and now, due to both the utter incompetence of Pilot and Amazon for trusting them with deliveries, I will be renting a pickup truck from U-Haul and going to pick the thing up myself from their docks tomorrow.

I made a $500+ item from the biggest retailer in the world and was given a delivery date by Pilot. The same delivery date was emailed to me on 3 occasions. I took off work to be there for the needed signature. I did get nervous when I didn’t receive a call confirming but thought it was just poor service. I was more correct than I knew about poor service!!

So the morning of the delivered date that I had been given on more that 3 occasions... received same date delivered from the biggest retail store in the world... I called Pilot and was told too bad that it wasn’t being delivered until the next day... even though it had been sitting on Pilots local dock for over 48 hours. Pilot could record your voice saying, "Yes please deliver without signature" but they won’t. Now I have to find someone sign for a package that weights 151 pounds that I was willing to take responsibility for. I've missed a full day of work and pay with absolutely NOTHING to show for that except frustration!!! So the lesson I learned from this experience is buy at Amazon Smile until Amazon starts using Pilot AND do not buy from the largest retailer in the world that uses Pilot Freight Services!

Updated on 06/22/2018: Since, I can’t find a manner to edit my previous review I’m submitting an update... On Pilot Freight who did not get my packaged delivered to me on provided date. I however was apparently was part of the problem as I didn’t find a voice mail until the whole issue was resolved. I received a phone message from a THIRD party not Pilot about scheduling a delivery time. The poor communication started with the world's largest retailer and only got more complicated. The signing requirement is a hassle and a major inconvenience which I did not understand was going to be a requirement when I purchased from the world's largest retailer.

If I had been aware that my presence was required at delivery time I would have ordered from Amazon like I do several time a week! I understand why they don’t want to be liable but I do think the consumer should have the option to forgo that at the consumer's discretion. My package sat on a local dock for 2 days, I lost money and work hours due to lack of information on the world's largest retail company. I will just stick with Amazon Smile in the future!

We purchased a TV from Sam's club, being first time Pilot customers we had high hopes. To start off, we had to take time off work twice to get our TV as the original delivery was not confirmed apparently and we waited in vain. When we finally unboxed the TV, the screen was smashed in several places. Not a big deal, things happen, so we arranged for a swap the same evening on 5/31/18. We are told a representative will reach out to schedule a pickup of the damaged item, and delivery of the new TV, both to occur at the same time.

On 6/4/2018, we get an angry Pilot delivery man yelling in our Nest while we are at work because how dare we not be home as he has a pick up, no new TV though. After I explain that we weren't aware he would come by, he leaves. I call Pilot, 'sorry for misunderstanding, we will reach out shortly once the new TV arrives at the warehouse'. They call the next day (6/5/2018), tell me the TV is at the warehouse, once it is received in the system they will call back and schedule a delivery window. Well that was nice I think to myself. Fast forward to 6/8, still no call and the tracking information doesn't reflect anything.

So I call them 4 days in the row, each time they insist they haven't spoken to me the day prior and admit they have no idea where the TV is, they just can't find it. Finally they find the TV on 6/12/2018 (it came without labels I am told) and set up a swap for 6/13/2018. Morning of 6/13 I call Pilot and confirm the appointment is still on. The delivery window comes and goes. I call Pilot again, they notify me I wasn't home apparently and they hang up on me twice when I ask difficult questions like 'But how can I miss the delivery if I am home and my car is up front and the Nest didn't record anymore coming to the door?' and other difficult questions such as 'What phone number do you have on file?'.

I call Pilot again on 6/14, I speak to a nice man named Ron, he apologizes profusely and schedules delivery window on 6/15 2-6 pm with 30 minute call prior to delivery arrival. Again, I call in the morning and confirm the delivery window. At 1:20pm, as I am anxiously waiting for a call, I once again get a very angry delivery man screaming at me via Nest because I am not home and am not answering my phone. I explain to him that since he is there early, I can be there in 30 mins for 2pm, he agrees. I jump in the car and head home, dialing Pilot in the meantime.

At this point, they notify me that the appointment window is 8 hours and there is no such Ron working there and the delivery window is never past 4pm, news to me! In addition of accusing me of making up phantom Ron, they notify me that the driver already left the area for the day and I need to reschedule. When I insist that the driver agreed to come back at 2pm mere 10 minutes ago, they hang up on me. I call back, demand to speak to a manager, they hang up. I repeat this futile exercise 3 more time unsuccessfully.

Kids, DO NOT BUY if PILOT is the freight company. I cannot stress this enough. RUN IMMEDIATELY, pay the extra 20 bucks elsewhere. I will be jamming the 65" broken TV into my Prius and hauling it to nearest Sam's. This was my first experience with both Sam's and Pilot, and it will be my absolutely last. Neither of them care about the customers nor will take the responsibility.

Pilot started out our business relationship by literally forgetting to pick up my washer from the Sears Outlet Center. After two weeks of waiting for it to be delivered, and then finally managing to convince someone that the tracking website wasn't accurate, they told me it had never been picked up, and blamed it on Sears for not being ready which was a blatant lie. They redispatched their driver who didn't pick up the washer for at least two more weeks, though I can't say for sure when it was picked up, because the website tracking information is meaningless, and the people on the phone are either clueless or downright hostile and won't provide information.

After much finger-pointing, many excuses, and several weeks after placing my order, Pilot admitted to me today that they lost my washing machine. I cannot imagine how one loses a washing machine. Nevertheless, it's gone. This has been a disaster from beginning to end, and Pilot took no responsibility for any of it, telling me to either quit bothering them, or to call Sears for complaint resolution. I have never experienced such unprofessionalism and incompetence before. I cannot recommend this company to anyone except, perhaps, my worst enemy.

So I bought a TV from Wal-Mart. Took 5 days to get to Syracuse. They then had to call and set an appointment. The guy never called and said I didn't answer so I call him set an appointment for the next day. Pops up on my tracking info that the appointment is said for the next day and between 11 am to 3 pm. He then calls the next day and says, "Oh! I didn't set the appointment. It will come tomorrow." I'm a livid. I took today and yesterday off so I could be home a day to enjoy my new TV. Do not ship anything through them!!

Pilot picked my TV for return to Amazon on 12/04/2017. As of 12/30/2017, I have not received credit. When I contacted Pilot, they show the TV picked up on the 4th but the tracking stops there. Pilot rep sent a note to the warehouse asking for an update. You would think their system would flag showing no updates and they would be proactive. 4 weeks and still out 1900.

Pilot Freight is the absolutely worst freight company you could ever come across. If you want something delivered a week late and to have to deal with the worst customer service people, then go ahead and use them. I've never experienced a company like this company!!!! Rude from the word go and late, I never got my package to top it all off!!!

This is the worst shipping company ever. I ordered a TV from Dell on Black Friday and have not got it yet. Every time I call Pilot they tell a different excuse. I was promised this to be delivered to my house on Dec.4 and it’s Dec.9 and still no TV. I will never buy anything from anyone that uses this company as a shipper again!!! I think the worst part about it the people that work there act like it’s no big deal and don’t offer to help in any way. They just say it will get there when it gets there. Stick to FedEx and UPS. At least they do their job!!!

The Denver office has absolutely the worst customer service. The woman I spoke with on multiple occasions was rude, condescending and sarcastic. Aggressively answering your questions, she is the worst customer service agent I have ever had the misfortune of speaking with. And I know... I train call center agents on customer service skills. If you are going to continue to employ such a bitter human being, stick her in loading, where the general public is safe from her disdainful personality.

Wish I could give them ZERO stars, worst delivery company I have EVER seen or heard of. Twice on the BOL and on the box states 2 men are required due to the size and weight. They sent one man with a pick up truck, Extremely Unprofessional!!! The guy plopped it onto my sliding door base and the 700.00 Bathtub I have is cracked. They will not do anything to fix the issue!!! Even though they did not make the delivery as required. Elite... far from it!!! PS Pilot Freight Services is who farmed out the shipping to this horrible company! The only solution they offered was to not bathe for 6-7 weeks while returning the item, getting my $ back, then waiting for a replacement.

The customer service representatives were extremely rude and I mean beyond rude, they hung up on me, TWICE! I called them to schedule my delivery and they were rude! I've never had such awful service. I called back after being hung up on the first time and asked for a manager to try to get my problem resolved and address the issue of Tiffany being rude and hanging up on me but instead of getting a manager they put Tiffany back on the phone, who yelled at me and then hung up on me, AGAIN! Needless to say, I cancelled my order as they refused to deliver it and I was getting nowhere with this shipping company so I purchased my item somewhere else with a better shipping company. If you want good customer service and actually want your items you order to be delivered then do NOT deal with Pilot Freight Services for delivery!

If you are in a rush this company will just your waste time. Paid for 2-day shopping. Label made on a Friday and order didn't arrive until Wednesday, never scheduled a delivery period with me then precedes to knock only and not being the doorbell @ 10 am all while never saying a signature is needed for delivery. Go to reschedule and the customer service sucks just as bad as the delivery service. Would never recommend. Previous item delivered by them came damaged if that shows anything about this company.

We contacted Pilot because FedEx and UPS (both Express and Freight) are getting very expensive. Because we ship quite a lot, we contacted Pilot to open an account. Their prices were great; especially compared to the other two I mentioned. The first item shipped was a piece of artwork. It arrived in a damaged crate. The back of the wooden crate was torn open! The driver refused to help the recipient open the crate to inspect for damage. The client is really upset with us and we will have to replace the artwork. Fortunately, it can be replaced. I would never use the services of this organization again.

Paid 335.00 for refrigerator to get delivered into threshold of home, didn't happen. I had to go to pick it up myself from Pilot. I asked about a delivery refund, I was told to call Sears where I ordered online. The guy pilot had a nasty attitude and stated that he tried to setup a delivery day. I never received a call, I had to call them to see what was going on with my refrigerator. I was told over the phone that he wasn't going to send his guys out to my home at 5:00 on or later because my address is at the very edge of delivery boundary. I don't get off work until 4:30 and it takes me a hour to get home from work. Really Pilot, you have been paid 335.00 to deliver 45 minutes from the Pilot delivery station/location. I'm trying to get a delivery refund. I see that Pilot has listed my delivery as delivered by them LIE. Sears outlet.com is working to see if I can be refunded my delivery fees.
