    No complaints about PureTalk actual service. We upgraded my wife's iPhone and got her an Apple Watch. Service is fine - no complaints as a carrier. BUT DO NOT BUY A PHONE FROM PURETALK IF THE TRADE-IN ALLOWANCE IS IMPORTANT TO YOU. PureTalk uses a company called Phobio to handle the trade ins. We followed instructions to mail in phone - 2 months later our $213 trade-in was reduced to $0 because they said (1) we were late sending it in (we weren't and had shipping receipt to prove), and (2) they said screen was broken - it was not, and (3) they said the phone was locked. They offered to throw away phone or return it to us. We got the phone returned. We brought it to ATT where our service formally was - they confirmed phone was unlocked. We contacted PureTalk and all they do is point you back to Phobio.

    We re-contacted Phobia and they now tell us while we cannot get the $213 trade in as that offer expired - we can get into a "Direct Rebate" program and we would get $190 as an Amazon gift card. So we sent the phone back to them. Once again - we are told that our phone is broken and therefore we are only eligible for a $38 Amazon gift card. We have asked them to return the phone.

    We have given up oh Phobio - and we are now filing a complaint with the State of Connecticut Attorney General's Office, Consumer Protection Division. PureTalk by the way offers Zero support and Zero help. The most they will do is give you a number for Phobio - but you will be on the phone with a customer service person for literally hours. They will sound sympathetic but offer no help to resolve the matter.

    I also bought a phone - but i bought mine through Amazon and my trade-in came in the form of an Amazon gift card almost instantly. If Phobio made everything right, i would have added my phone to the PureTalk account. But that didn't happen - so now I will shop phone plans again and try elsewhere. Integrity is more important than being a couple of bucks cheaper.

    I've had Puretalk for years, currently I'm moving several family members to puretalk and the customer service is excellent! Jessica and everyone I've talked to have been great! Every single person is easily understandable, the price is much lower and service is simple to get, no long hold time, no transfer to another department.     We switched to Pure Talk from Verizon to save money and because Mike Rowe and his foundation endorse them. After switching, our phones would not send or receive phone calls. Using e-mail, customer service kept telling us that we needed to call customer service or technical service to resolve the problem. E-mail after e-mail I told them the phones couldn't make calls, but the rep kept telling us to call.

    We finally told him to cancel our service, and he e-mailed back to tell us we had to do that by logging into our account online. When we logged in to cancel service, the website said that we needed to call customer service to do that. I spent the last years before retirement in the service industry dealing with dumb and ridiculous, but this is hands down the worst customer service I have ever encountered or heard of. This was a technical issue involving eSIMs that should have taken less than an hour to resolve, but stretched for a week. Pure disappointment is all we got out of switching to Pure Talk.

    This is such a fantastic company. Everything works BETTER the the 3 big carriers. I’ve had t-mobile and ATT and Puretalk beats them both. I do want to apologize for being rude to the wonderful woman that was setting up my phone. I can explain… I was very nervous because I had already canceled my t-mobile account (which I had just read don’t cancel until your new connection is alive) and I really get very edgy when I’m involved with something I know nothing about.     Good service all the way around - however, if you receive a large number of incoming and important calls beware: First, PureTalk recently changed its VM system from a product everyone is probably comfortable using from other carriers right now to one that is slow, time consuming to use and buggy. It insists on reading the 10-digit phone number, SLOWLY, before playing the message. This takes 20 seconds. Every time. Even if you are simply replaying the message to take notes.

    Second, it terminates the call if you miskey two consecutive times. For example, after you have played a message, should you want to hear that message again, you would press "1". But if you don't wait long enough or the system mishears the "1" prompt, it simply says "I'm sorry you are having trouble" and disconnects. This is such an issue for me that I have to look at other carriers. PT is aware of the issue but has no plans to fix their unusable VM system. And it's an easy fix. Go figure.

    Since switching from Verizon to Pure Talk the financial burden has came down a lot. Keeping our old phones and switching to a different network has been noticeable for all the family. In our area the ATT towers are different than the Verizon towers. We do experience some connection issues while drive around our area.. But we do know that there would be some changes to get use to.

    Terrible mistake. Trouble with service from day 1. Had an old Galaxy 10 had to upgrade to 36a 5g; it was defective. IT "experts" couldn't diagnose. Sent it back to find out "they ran out". Either get an inferior phone or pay extra. Most reps and IT specialists read from script. Limited group text, dropped calls, missed texts, late texts. One day had to call 9+ times with no resolution. Lost location of my defective phone when mailed to them. They claim American values, however, only concerned about legal obligations "according to your contract". Price is half of the "big boys" but you only get 1/2 service offered by the "Big 3". Big LET DOWN after being excited to support "veteran-owned" company. Unfortunately, it is run like a government department. Would not recommend.

    I was on the phone with pure talk earlier after only being on hold for about 3 minutes and they fixed the entire issue that I had happening and I couldn't be happier! I am a veteran and I love that PureTalk is a veteran owned company and even though there is not a actual store to go to I never have any trouble with customer service. Five stars all the way. I believe we started with Verizon, until they got so expensive we almost couldn't pay our house payment, LOL. Then we went to ** which I don't have anything bad to say about that company but pure talk got us by being a US company, by being veteran-owned, and we've had nothing but great customer service. Thank you so much.

    Overall, I like PureTalk and what the company stands for. I have been with them for about 2 years. I have had no problem with billing or coverage. However, I discovered early on that I cannot send group texts to more than 10 people at a time. I have complained about this about every two months and been told that there is nothing they can do, or they are working on it. I am a member of several organizations (e.g., Rotary Club, Woman's Club, boards of directors, church and Bible study groups, local alumni association, family groups and friend groups, most of which have memberships between 15-25 members that I frequently need to contact as a group. I can receive the group texts, but cannot respond. So responses require opening another 1-3 threads just to give responses. If this isn't a problem for you, PureTalk is great. For me, I need them to do something about this soon, because I am tired of waiting for it to be addresses.

    I heard about Pure Talk on the radio when I listened to the broadcasts, of Brian, Clay, Buck, and Sean from FOX. I liked that this helped our military. I also found out that my son and his wife used Pure Talk and they liked it. So I switched over to it, and I am VERY glad that I did.     Pure-Talk is a 100% 5-Star Company. Mike Rowe would not represent this Company unless they are 100%. Two out of three of the largest cell phone carriers are garbage, they do nothing but rip the consumer off with junk fees and their (CEO'S) line their pockets from the consumer.     I can't comment on their actual service, but in case you happen to be like me & run into a series of health/medical issues that keep you from being able to port your number over/activate your new service before the 30 day mark... They DO NOT refund anything if you don't activate their service on your own phone (or otherwise)... even though they're out zero! I had a miscarriage a week into purchasing their service, during the holidays... Anyway, just make sure you know what your clicking the boxes to & agreeing to BEFORE & don't allow life to happen bigger than paying attention to that 30 day expiration.

    The service so far is good. I’ve only noticed one issue with locked passwords and was told that was an Apple issues but before moving from Verizon I didn’t have the problem.     Good afternoon, I recently transferred two lines (my primary line and wanted to get a hotspot on my primary line) and added another line (as I need to keep this other line for personal reasons).     Everything is messed up and now switching providers, I am out 800 dollars because the guy who set everything up was a moron and put my S25 as my wife's Pixel thus showing her number as the S25 on the account and now showing proof of it being my number I don't have it.     The price is lower, but the reception is about the same as ATT was. Not happy about my watch not transferring over from ATT to Puretalk, You charged me 10 bucks a month but ATT was still charging me for the same watch. I was told by the Pure talk rep that everything I ask for would be transferred to puretalk meaning my phone and my watch but att was still charging me so it seems to me that PureTalk was at fault but all I heard was, "Well I know how you feel." So I had to call att which took me 1/2 day to get in touch with a human to cancel my watch with them.

    PureTalk is absolutely the worst cell service I have had in the last 15 years. The last time I had service this bad was when Sprint was a standalone service and had the honor of being the worst in the industry. 70% of the time I try to use Maps or Spotify it will not load. My crappy TracFone is superior to PureTalk at Maps and Spotify. These are NOT heavy mb apps. I even have trouble making phone calls on occasion with PureTalk!! Really!?! Yes, in this day and technological era I have trouble making phone calls with PureTalk. Let's not blame the phone though. I have used this phone with Verizon Prepaid for almost 4 years with Never an issue.

    Speaking of my previous service. Moving to PureTalk caused me to lose all of my discounts I had earned with Verizon Prepaid. Thanks a lot PureTalk! In summary, I Do Not like PureTalk. I am Not satisfied with PureTalk. I tell anyone that asks to stay away from PureTalk. Oftentimes people get my unsolicited advice to stay away from PureTalk because they happen to be around when my information will not load. PureTalk sucks.

    Very disappointed with your customer service. I decided to try Pure talk because of the Mike Rowe ads. When I signed up I thought I was getting the price Mike said on the radio ads. The price I received was $78 for 2 lines. When I heard the same commercial after this Mike said the price per line was $29.99 with unlimited talk & text for life. So I called customer service only to be told that this was a Black Friday promotion and I called too late. The radio ad did not mention this & I heard the same radio ad days after.

    So I asked to speak with a supervisor and was put on hold for close to 30 minutes. I hung up & called a few days later & again wanted to speak to a supervisor and could not get one. This went on for a few more calls before it got resolved (hopefully). I very irritated with your customer service. Also, there is interruptions on your customer service lines where the voice cut out momentarily. This was also very annoying.

    Biggest issue is screen shows SIM card with "?" Open to settings, SIM card is not from Verizon Wireless. Phone confirmed UNLOCKED by Verizon, 3 times and at least 2 by Pure Talk. However when talking to P.T. customer service I'm told phone is still locked, call Verizon. Which I did, same result. Switching to airplane mode and back doesn't help. Also phone has gone into Emergency Calls Only, several times and I can't set up Visual Voice Mail. Where do I go from here?

Did have a small glitch in the beginning it seems the phone I had appeared to work on your network according to the sales person but the phone was not. Only found out when I called for tech services.     I am very happy especially with the monthly bill. The service has been just as good as it was with Verizon 2008-2025 customer except one thing. The VM option is a pain. Takes me back to when I had a CDMA network phone. Need virtual VM like Verizon. Having to call and type in my password every time and having to hit #1 to listen, #4 to save, #7 delete, etc is a time consuming pain. If you offered a VM like I had with Verizon. I would pay a small additional fee. I believe it was called virtual voicemail. Other than the VM access I tell everyone how good the cell service is compared to when I had Verizon. Great job regarding that! The VM stopped me from putting 5 stars.

    I hear the radio ads from Mike Rowe and PureTalk right after the srn newscast and I'm pretty disappointed that Pure Talk runs ads with srn news because srn news has a constant technical glitch where the news anchor slams right into the end of pure talks commercial. It makes Pure Talk sound really really bad and so I don't want to do business with Pure Talk because they advertise with srn news. I've reached out to pure talk about the issue telling them that I don't want to give them my business and they haven't followed up so I'm pretty disappointed with their communication so honestly I just don't want to give them my business because of their affiliation with srn news. It's a tragedy because it makes them sound bad on the radio and they're associated with a poor organization that doesn't want to fix this technical glitch. I guess the old saying goes guilt by association if you have bad company that corrupts your image.

    Switched from Xfinity (very bad) to PureTalk. Switched my mom, too. Only $10 cheaper and PureTalk will not throttle down to 3G if going over data usage, which sometimes happens when watching a video. PureTalk uses a different network, which has issues when traveling interstates across nation between antennas, doesn’t mesh well. I only have one bar at house and will get dropped calls outside, compared when I was on Xfinity. I have to be on Wi-Fi to prevent this. I will have to install extenders for outside use.

    I was going to this anyway for cameras. Going camping in AZ, I have less coverage, too. My voicemail on iPhone doesn’t show messages, so I have to call myself every time I don’t answer to see if I have message or not. My previous saved messages from Xfinity did not transfer. No quick way to get to messages like *86, I have to call my phone to access, a little annoying, but obviously would be better if my voicemail just worked, probably some Apple thing. Sooo, I like I’m not giving money to non-conservative causes, not sure why phone companies do that anyway, whatever, probably has something to do with tax incentives. I like I’m spending less money and not being throttled. Don’t like coverage, despite talk radio hosts saying uses same antennas, being vague on purpose like I am too.

    I have Pure Talk and my Husband has Verizon. I do not drop calls, my husband drops calls. There is no store to go to but you don't need to because they are helpful on phone and will walk you through set up, buying a phone and they will not sell you a plan you don't need. I have a $20. monthly plan and is all I need for calls text and games as well as reading the news. I will never change carriers again. Great people and great prices.

    Got in touch with Pure Talk on February 14th 2026 ordered a cell phone from Samsung pure talk, sent me an Apple cell phone once FedEx arrived at my house, I refused the phone, it went back to pure talk. For my refund, I did not receive full refund of $89 as they said. I owed them for shipping cost. S, why would I owe for shipping costs when pure talk is the one that sent me the wrong phone and should accept the shipping cost on the way back to them for refund, not very happy with these company. Had them for about 6 years already. Now I don't even want the Samsung phone because of the customer service. Charging me ten dollars for shipping that I did not incorporate or was at fault for.

    They are as good as it gets for customer service and quality connections almost everywhere. They are a little more expensive than some prepaid companies. But they answer their own phones with a live American person. And that has some cost for quality factors. But I would say there is not a better phone service out there.     I've been a customer now for several years and the phone service is good.     I haven't been with Pure Talk for very long. But what I've noticed and appreciate is the short hold time when I call Customer Service. Also, when I talk with a representative at Pure Talk I don't have a hard time understanding them when they speak and they understand me.     Switched from AT&T. Process was seamless. Pure Talk told us exactly what we would need, to keep our number. When I received the SIM card I started the process online entered the transfer PIN required and installed the SIM card. I immediately had the new service setup and the number transferred. Service has been just as good as my previous service with no dropped calls. One inquiry emailed to customer service was responded to and resolved within 15 minutes.     When I inquired about switching to Pure Talk was assured that we would have 5 G service and our current phones would work. Well, we Don't and it was a fiasco from the beginning, trying to change over to the service, then having no calling service, "emergency only calls". That is dangerous and frustrating. Finally, we got my husband's phone to work, and mine would not so I had to get a new phone, because I need to be able to make and receive a call when he is not home. My new phone helps some.

    Thank goodness we have good Wi-Fi (no one told us to try that on the 10 or so calls I made for assistance). But, if our internet goes out, we are up a creek without a paddle, we will have no phone service. Very Disappointing, I realize we live out a bit from the city but, not in the wilderness. Some how we are in a bad area. But, the hours of stress, and raised blood pressure, would have be avoided if we were told the truth from the start and stuck with our previous, service provider.

    PureTalk does not support the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. Service randomly drops off and a window pops up stating "your phone is not currently registered on a network." At that time the phone must be restarted in order to reconnect to the service. Puretalk blames it on either the Samsung phone or a weak service area. Samsung inspected/tested the phone and say the problem is the service provider. As for a weak service area, I gave up a Samsung Galaxy S20FE and AT&T just to switch to PureTalk and I had never had this issue with service for the 4 years I was with AT&T. My wife had an iPhone 12 on the AT&T account and never had that service issue.

    At the time I purchased my new Samsung S25 Ultra I also purchased an iPhone 16 to replace my wife's phone, both on the PureTalk service. My wife has not experienced the issue I'm having with the new Samsung. My S25 Ultra would randomly drop service on the trip we took to California over Thanksgiving, my wife's iPhone 16 did not drop service at all. PureTalk is not willing to resolve the issue. I cannot and will not recommend PureTalk to anyone.

    Every aspect of switching to PureTalk has been great! The rep answered all my questions on initial call, and then they were readily available and extremely helpful when we actually transferred our phones over. And that was a bit convoluted - we are in MI, our daughter lives across the state, and our son is in Denver. They facilitated each transfer with ease. Our service reception has been great in all 3 of these locations, actually have better service in spots that were poor with Verizon. The only hiccup was with Verizon, they made transferring our numbers from them as difficult as they could (and of course they all of the sudden had discounts to offer once we decided to leave them).

    I had been a AT&T customer for 29 years. During that time I constantly dealt with horrible customer service, a bills that were constantly increasing and zero appreciation for having been with them for so long. I had several family members and friends recommend Pure talk so I finally decided to give it a try and oh how I wish I would have done it sooner. Switching over was absolutely effortless!
