We have been customers of Pure Talk from about five years and could not be more satisfied. Their coverage is second to none but their customer service is where they really shine. About a year ago they helped me recover phone messages from my mother who had passed away that are absolutely priceless. And just today we upgraded one of our phones that will arrive in just a couple of days. Their service reps are all Americans and we never have trouble understanding them. Outstanding company!

If you just want to spend money, go with big carriers. PureTalk uses their towers but don't spend on advertising like the big guys do and their support is fantastic and HUMAN not ai so you get service fast with results! I called today and was helped quickly and professionally but Brittany and left with a sense of security due to her interaction.

When I first moved to PureTalk, I was informed I could use my phone as a hotspot for my business, as I did with Verizon. For three months, this proved true, then PureTalk, a subsidy of AT&T, decided I could no longer use this service. I got several different answers as to why, from I should have been 'grandfathered in," to "AT&T has never had this service." Had I known I was working with AT&T, I would have NEVER changed.
AT&T has extremely poor service in Montana; the service is extremely sub-par, therefore as a subsidiary of AT&T, PureTalk is no better. PureTalk claims a 5G service, however, I NEVER get better than LTE service 1(one) bar at best. The one thing PureTalk has going for it, is it is "cheep." Just remember the difference between cheep and inexpensive. PureTalk is CHEAP.

PureTalk has by far the best customer service of any cell service! Within minutes, I always talk to an American in America that I can understand and resolve my issue or answer my questions in minutes. Where I live in Vermont service is spotty no matter what carrier you have, but paying less for more always makes sense. I am no longer wasting my time on automated/uneducated scripted tech calls. And even better, not wasting my money supporting destructive causes I don’t agree with. Thanks Pure Talk!!

Pure Talk's friendly, domestic customer service made transferring existing service easy. Paying half the price of Verizon with no difference in service availability. I have tried changing service in the past to T-Mobile. They said it could be done, but after much delay and talking with service, they changed their verdict, saying it couldn't be done. Some keys on old phone stopped working, prompting me to seek a new phone and service. Refer a friend could be more intuitive.

The rates are low but they don't offer any unlimited plans. They call them unlimited but they slow down data to such an extreme that they low speed data is completely unusable. To have no truly unlimited plan on data is unreal. I travel for work and just have to keep paying for more and more data if I want to stay with this greedy company. Ugh!!! May every greedy company reap everything they put people through!

Connect to Wi-Fi: Whenever you’re at home or in the office, ensure your Wi-Fi is active to bypass your cellular data entirely.
Enable Data Saver: Most smartphones have a Data Saver (Android) or Low Data Mode (iPhone) in the settings that prevents apps from using data in the background.
Manage Background Apps: Many apps refresh content even when you aren't using them. Check your settings to restrict background data for non-essential apps.

I’ve had excellent experiences with Pure Talk. Reasonable price and with my location every other company has fallen short on coverage. I get 3 bars when I used to have to go outside and walk a ways to get even one bar. Appreciate the service

I’ve been using PureTalk for over 6 months and very satisfied with the service. I did see a need to upgrade my data plan to avoid disruptions prior to end of month billing cycle.

Called support to verify that transfer had taken place. Benjamin assisted me when WIFI calling couldn't be enabled on my Pixel 9A. I was being given a choice between Mint Mobile and PureTalk SIMs at every call attempt. He led me through erasing Mint Mobile eSim on my Google Pixel phone. WIFI calling was restored. Benjamin was extremely courteous, professional, and patient with this old man. Their reps have been nothing but helpful and kind at every call...I've made several to them. I went from Verizon to Puretalk in January 2026, after speaking w/a few Puretalk folks. So far, I've NEVER lost service, never had a svc. problem and Puretalk hasn't clogged up my device with a lot of 'extras' (games, etc.) that I didn't ask for. EVERY time I've called, the first rep I've spoken with is knowledgeable enough to help me immediately, which is a HUGE plus in this day of 'auto' responses and fighting to get thru to get a question answered. We're switching my husband to Puretalk from AT&T SOON! :o)

Each time I have had to contact Pure Talk, they have always been very helpful and very efficient. My issue has been resolved quickly. I do have to mention, they speak English! I also get great coverage with Pure Talk.

Time zone is off by 1 hour and I repeatedly tried to get it fixed. Not especially happy with the Company and I may go back to Xfinity. I never heard of a review needing to be longer before it is accepted!!!

April 23, 2026 I called the tech support number after having problems with my voice mail. Crystal, at the first level of support quickly decided my problem was bigger than her expertise and transferred me to the next level where I spoke with Chris. Chris did some troubleshooting, then told me to restart my phone and try again. I did, and the problem was fixed! Great service! Thank you Crystal and Chris!

I've had Pure Talk for a few years and never a complaint! I was with Verizon and paying 4 times what I am with Pure Talk and got none of the service satisfaction I do now! I recommend Pure Talk every chance I get.

Best decision I have made by switching service to PureTalk from Verizon. Dropped my monthly payment by a lot. No hidden fees, no contract. And of course customer service is fantastic! It’s nice to talk to a person you can understand stand. I have plenty of data. In fact I will never use all the data that I have. No problems what so ever with pure talk plane and simple!

Updated on 05/01/2026: Thank you for your response—I genuinely appreciate the follow-up and the credit applied to my account. I also want to acknowledge the outreach attempts on April 24 and April 25; I did see those calls and was honestly impressed by the effort. (I've increased my rating from 1 to 3.) I did return the call on April 27 and spoke with Winnie. Unfortunately, she wasn’t able to assist and mentioned she needed a supervisor, which is consistent with my earlier experience on April 22. During that call, I spoke first with Amarhea, who was excellent and resolved my voicemail issue quickly—she was fantastic. My second call that day was with Aireahn regarding separating my 3111 line back onto its own phone. After an extended hold and checking with a supervisor, I was told this could not be done.
On April 27, Winnie advised she would submit a ticket to IT and that I would be contacted. As of now, I have not received any follow-up, and the issue remains unresolved. To clarify, my goal is simple: I would like the 3111 number placed back on its own device with the most basic plan available. I’ve even offered to have the line disconnected and re-added if that’s what it takes, but so far I’ve been told that isn’t possible.
I’ve now been working on resolving this for over a week, and it’s becoming increasingly frustrating. I’m not eager to change carriers again—I was with AT&T for over 30 years and moved to PureTalk based on a recommendation I trusted. Once my setup is working the way I need it, I’m very stable and tend to stay with a provider long-term. That’s why I would much prefer to resolve this quickly rather than start over elsewhere. If email is an option, I would welcome continuing communication that way so we can get this handled efficiently. Thank you again for your time and attention to this—I do appreciate the effort to make it right.
Original Review: I've only spoken with 2 representatives who were knowledgeable and seemed interested in their job. The others all sound like young girls who are barely awake, not at all interested in my concerns or their job, and not knowledgeable about the service. Many times, my signal gets so bad that I have to hang up and call the person back. I found out that is because even though Puretalk runs on AT&T lines, during busy times, the AT&T subscribers get priority, and Puretalk customers get slower data and inferior service. I joined 100% because of Mike Rowe's recommendation of you. He's always been right on other things, but wow, he sure got this one wrong. I'm so disappointed and canceling my service ASAP.

Recently left one of the big boy cell providers and switched to PureTalk. Port over was easy and can now actually have a phone conversation at the house without calls dropping. Had an issue with texting pics and called their CS and was actually speaking with a live person in less than 2 minutes. Julie fielded the call, and after much effort, was able to resolve the issue. Best customer service I've EVER seen from a cell provider.

When I was having trouble setting up voice mail, Nicole patiently walked me through the process, clearly explaining things that I couldn't find on the website. Voice mail may seem to be a bit complicated at first, yet I expect it to be better than that for my previous carrier. It's just a learning process like for anything new. I'm glad I switched to PureTalk. Great coverage, reasonable price.
