Terrible store, terrible company. Customer service is nonexistent. My daughter let her phone payment slip for two months while she was away and was not able to pay. We came in on June 23rd to get her re-instated. There were two employees there, one had just began yesterday, and the other three weeks ago. The latter stated that we had to get the most expensive plan ($77) because she was ineligible for some reason for the $49 plan she had originally even though it was advertised on the wall and the website. She ran my debit card as a credit card with a hold, holding it in my bank for 2 business days so she couldn't start the phone until it cleared. 3 days later, we came in and was still told they couldn't see it went through eventhough I had my bank statement in hand. Again, the 3 week employee didn't know how to fix it. She stated that Metro sucks and wouldn't suggest we go with her company.
Her boss was not available for a phone call of course. She also stated her training was a video, and that her boss took her online entrance test for her, then left her to figure out the register herself. This explains alot. Here it is the 27th and still no service, although my bank account shows it was taken out. You cannot get help online unless you wish to sign up. There is no customer service number. The 3 week employee said my best bet is to keep coming back to see if someone else could help me.

Metro by T-Mobile advertises for really good deals to switch over to their service, but hide the fact that the phone you fully purchase is locked to their network for 365 days, even if you pay the phone in full. I called three times and visited two stores and received answers such as “it’s common sense,” “you should have asked,” and “we don’t need to disclose that information in our advertisements,” etc. Even their customer service reps understood and agreed it was highly unfair to advertise a phone discount without clearly disclosing the terms.
Nowhere in the website when you purchase the phone does it mention that it is locked, not even in the fine print. You have to click a tiny link in the fine print to discover this. I wonder why they make it so hard to find out that the phones are locked?! I’m fine with them locking phones for 365 days if you get a discount on the phone. I get it, but just make it clear and easy to understand that this is the case on the website when purchasing the phone. That’s all. Never going back to them again.

I ordered a phone through Metro after being told by customer service that I was eligible for an upgrade. During the order process, the representative specifically asked for my shipping address, and I provided the correct address. Despite that, Metro shipped the phone to the wrong address. When I discovered the mistake, I immediately contacted Metro. The first representative told me he could update the address, but that it would take 24 hours to process. Because the package was already scheduled for delivery the next day, he instructed me to contact UPS directly. UPS informed me that the package had already been refused at the incorrect address and was being returned to the sender. They told me that only Metro, as the sender, could request changes to the shipment.
I called Metro again. The second representative claimed he contacted UPS, changed the address, and told me I would receive a new tracking number within 24 hours. He also said I could contact UPS to arrange pickup. When I called UPS, they told me they had no record of Metro contacting them and that no changes had been made. I eventually arranged a three-way call between Metro and UPS because I was tired of acting as the middleman between the two companies. During that call, it became clear that Metro and UPS were not on the same page regarding who could make changes to the shipment. A third Metro representative then assured me that everything had been corrected and that I would receive updated tracking information. That never happened.
When I contacted Metro again, I learned that the package was simply being returned to the warehouse. Instead of correcting their shipping error and sending me the phone, I was told I would have to wait for the return to be processed, wait an additional two to three weeks for a refund, and then purchase the phone all over again.
The most frustrating part of this experience is that I spoke with three different representatives and received three completely different answers. Two of the three explanations turned out to be inaccurate, leaving me with no confidence that the third one was correct. This entire situation was caused by Metro shipping the phone to the wrong address after I provided the correct one. What should have been a simple phone purchase turned into hours of phone calls, contradictory information, and uncertainty about when or if the issue would actually be resolved. Based on my experience, ordering a phone through Metro can be a risky and unnecessarily difficult process. When something goes wrong, there does not appear to be a clear path to resolution, and customers are left to navigate conflicting information from multiple representatives.

MetroPCS has the WORST customer service! They LIE and misinform you so that you are stuck with their service for an extended period. The reps provide conflicting info and mislead customers. I learned this after trying to unlock my phone and discontinue their service to go to a more economical mobile service provider. They gave me the run around resulting in my calling Apple as instructed by them, then T-Mobile and back to them again with no resolution other than being stuck with them. I look forward to the time passing so that I CAN BE DONE AND CANCEL THEIR SERVICE FOREVER! I would advise everyone to not utilize their service! DO NOT BUY A CELL PHONE FROM THEM NO MATTER THE SPECIALS THAT THEY ARE OFFERING!!! STAY AWAY FROM METRO!!!

Attempted to depart Metro PCS after being their customer for a straight 13 years: We've Always paid promptly with $0 balance on a monthly basis with no arrear past due amounts attached (EXAMPLE shown). Yet, once it was time to port and transfer our number to a different carrier, they claim there was a $11.50 balance due and cut off our phones immediately before process was completed. As a result, they demand $25 activation fee in addition to $11.50. The other carrier remained on the conference call with me awaiting a supervisor. As a result the foreign rep, transferred us to a foreign language recording which we could not understand and no #s on the dial would transfer us otherwise.
Prior to making the decision of switching carriers, we called plus online chatted with metro pcs with no efforts from customer service striving to keep us as customers. In addition, we visited 3041 Dickerson Pike. Ste G2. Nashville, TN 37207 with LIVE foreign Metro PCS employee who walked away from us without explaining why.
Now, my being ** elderly lady and having customer service management role for over 30+ years, this ticked me off for real. Then, his backup rep had the nerves to state "you just mad because he does not have a plan that meets your need. Too bad. You will leave and come back again. Trust me," he said!!!" I replied, as a long term no hop customer, I doubt that!!!! I left, sat in the car and observed those two guys who were busy for other illegal looking transactions moving in and out of the building/back-n-forth to their vehicles. Something is wrong with companies that do not know exactly how their long-term customers are being mistreated!!!

It was never fixed in fact when I call back they wanted me to reach out to ups to change address. Long story short I didn’t get the phone due to their error. Now I have to wait for my refund to be processed out. Terrible customer service. I had to explain my situation too many times and they still didn’t understand. Just.

Horrible customer service. They don't speak English, barely can't understand them. I'm hard of hearing and a disabled veteran. They never give you a receipt or invoice at the Auburn location, never open up on time, quality of product is absolute garbage. I went and bought a $6 cord at the gas station and it lasted three times longer than the phone cord they sold me that was $26. I don't know why T-Mobile has anything to do with Metro PCS at all whatsoever. Master PCS's customer service is normal business hours and don't have consideration for all customers that may work mids or graveyard.
The customer service on the phone with Metro does not keep in sync with the stores. I got offered a good deal from the customer service representative on the phone, and then I get to the store and it was totally different, so I just canceled my account permanently, forever, all three devices, and I'm going to another phone company to purchase about a half a dozen phones and service for the company, but not from Metro PCS by T-Mobile, thank you, goodbye.

Metro PCS by T-Mobile absolutely horrific experience so I canceled two phones and iPad and my boss is going to be doing the rest with his 12 or 15 phones he has with Metro PCS by T-Mobile due to the conduct of the MetroPCS store in Auburn California. They told me what my balance was so I paid it even though they were way off because they don't collude with customer service on the phone. Needless to say my phone didn't work after making the payment and wanted another $23. Well why didn't the guy at the Metro PCS store in Auburn California give me the correct amount in the first place. I was on the phone with my attorney and my doctor Dr. So I have witnesses and another thing they never gave me a receipt or an invoice and they also talk in a different language in front of customers when I was making my transaction. Maybe that was the problem. The guy wasn't paying any attention, told me the wrong amount.
Anyhow I canceled two phones a tablet and my boss is 12 to 15 phones for the company are going to be terminated ASAP due to the conduct of the Auburn store MetroPCS by T-Mobile plus the customer service hours have changed which is total garbage because not everybody works 9:00 to 5:00. There are people out there that work around the shift clockwork like Doctors, medical staff etc. I should sue the s*** out of you guys and claim gas money and for all the inconvenience and stress you have caused since I have witnesses as my doctor and my attorney were both on the phone. Anyhow bye-bye Metro PCS by T-Mobile 👎👎👎👎👎👎

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience with T-Mobile and feel completely misled. I visited the T-Mobile Authorized Retailer in Glen Ridge, NJ to upgrade my iPhone 15 to an iPhone 17 Pro, which I qualified for according to T-Mobile’s website. I had been on my 55 Go+ plan for over two years and specifically explained that I did not want to lose my international coverage, since I travel frequently and rely on it heavily. The salesperson assured me that the newer plan included international benefits comparable to my existing plan, so I agreed to the switch based on that information.
After everything was completed, I discovered that the new plan does not include the international coverage I was promised. My previous 55 Go+ plan included 15GB of international data and was far better suited for my needs. To make matters worse, the printer in the store was supposedly “not working,” so I was unable to review or receive clear printed terms and conditions for the new plan before the changes were finalized.
I contacted customer service immediately to correct the issue. I spoke with two supervisors who both appeared understanding and willing to restore my previous plan, but both calls were disconnected during the process. After calling back a third time, I was told to return to the store and work with the store manager. I was also informed that I would likely be without a phone for two days while they attempted to reverse the transaction on their end.
As a result of incorrect information provided by the store employee, I lost a grandfathered plan that better fit my needs and cost less. My new phone now has to be returned to T-Mobile, another phone needs to be reordered, and my old phone has already been reset to factory settings and prepared for trade-in as part of the deal. This entire experience has been stressful, frustrating, and completely unnecessary. I have been a loyal customer, and I expected far better communication, transparency, and accountability from a company of this size. Very disappointing experience overall.

Been a customer for 6 years. Bought a brand new unlocked phone from Best Buy. Went to activate it online and it didn’t work. Called customer service and they half way transferred it (so my old phone is no longer connected, but my new phone also isn’t connected). They then tried to send me a verification code, of course I couldn’t receive it because no old phone is no longer connected. They said the only way to bypass the verification was to go in store. I live an hour away from a store. What a joke. They won’t be getting 1 more penny from me.

I went into Metro that to pay the phone bill, she talked me into switching into T-Mobile for 3 phones. Raised my bill over a $100, lied about everything. And then when I went back there to get my phone reactivated the guy in the store was saying that those phones were bad phones so I switched them out. It was an all day affair on so man right now, because I was with metro for 20 years paying $90 a month. Now my new phone bill is 170. Thank you, metro. And then they wouldn't give me a refund for the glass protector 3 phone which is ninety four dollars, this is bull.

I WAS TOTALLY HAPPY WITH METRO BY T-MOBILE FOR 7 YEARS...UNTIL I ORDERED HOME INTERNET IN JANUARY THIS YEAR. I ordered for a family member that lives in my home. My son is blind in one eye and losing vision in the other and doesn't go anywhere 😒 It was going to be a birthday gift for him. When it arrived on January 16, 2026 I gave it to him in the box it was sent in. He told me he couldn't use it and has a hotspot instead. I decided to send it back ASAP. I took it and put it in the trunk of my car so nothing would happen to it. AND then we got ice and a snowstorm and roads were impassable for a week AND my trunk was frozen shut.
It was the late JANUARY when I contacted CUSTOMER SERVICE and told them I would be returning the internet box. I was told that I would receive a shipping label from METRO and could send it back when I received it. I was told that I couldn't ship it back in the box it came in. I was told my money would be refunded since I had canceled before a month was up ONCE METRO RECEIVED the box. 😠 😡 So I waited and made repeated calls to customer service and was promised a refund IF they received the device BEFORE the next billing date. 😄
I had to keep paying for the internet box while they neglected to send me a shipping label 😠 😡 They even turned off my phone service "for non payment of internet box" that was never used. I finally got the shipping label on April 26th and was able to get it sent back. I ended up switching phone carriers in March after my phone service was turned off for "non payment of the box". I sent it back on April 28th and have never received any refunds. It was the most frustrating experience ever. They sent the label in email. Why didn't they do that in January when I requested it??? Nobody speaks English well enough in their customer service 🙄 😕 department. I'm done with them. Now I'm going to go thru the Better Business Bureau to get my refund. The proof is in my emails.

I asked for my money back and they are giving me the runaround, stating that I have two additional lines and I don't know where these lines are nor do I have a device with these phone numbers they are saying I have.. $416 in one month just to transfer to T-Mobile because I didn't even receive a full month and T-Mobile wanted the first bill on the 21st which is yesterday. I just discovered how shady Metro by T-Mobile is when I decided to look at their app and discovered that they had me as financing an IPHONE 17 for 24 months. The issue I have is I paid for that phone in the store when the guy there said he can get me a lower rate if I trust him. I paid over 800 dollars for a phone I do not like and really didn’t want and to see that on the app it says I made no down payment is OUTRAGEOUS! I am switching away from Metro and T-Mobile. As far as I am concerned they are both fraudulent companies and I definitely do not recommend anyone do business with either of them unless you are looking to pay double if not triple the rate quoted. I am disgusted!!!

So I was with them for 10 years. Went to ** cause Metro has went down hill. They can't port your number cause if they port partial. They can't send the 6 digit pin to your phone cause it's only partial ported. So then you end up getting a new number and the auto pay to get out of the company they just remove your card and just keep everything hooked up. Metro sucks.

I purchased a phone from Metro PCS on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. The device was shipped through UPS, but it NEVER arrived. When I first called Metro PCS, they told me their system showed that I had already received the phone. Later, after checking with UPS more carefully, they realized that I actually NEVER received it. Metro PCS then told me to contact UPS and file a claim. When I called UPS, they informed me that I could NOT file the claim because I was not the sender of the package — I was only the recipient.
I called Metro PCS back and explained exactly what UPS told me. Metro PCS said they would contact UPS directly and that I would receive an answer within 24 to 48 hours. After 48 hours passed and nobody contacted me, I had to call Metro PCS AGAIN. They made me repeat the entire story from the beginning and then told me once again to wait another 48 hours.
Meanwhile: I DO NOT have the phone. UPS confirmed it was never delivered to me. Metro PCS refuses to refund my money. And nobody is solving the problem. This is absolutely ridiculous. I was left without a phone and without my money because of an issue that was NOT my fault. Worst customer service experience I have had in the United States.

CORPORATE SCAMMERS & PREDATORY BOTTOM-FEEDERS – AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Rating: 0/5 Stars. If you enjoy being robbed in broad daylight, Metro by T-Mobile is the place for you. I bought two identical Motorola G Power devices and activated two lines. One phone worked; the other was a total "lemon" right out of the box—confirmed by their own Executive Response Team (Ligia ***), who admitted in writing that the device itself was the problem. But here is the scam: Despite admitting they sold me defective hardware, they refused a refund because I was supposedly outside a pathetic 14-day "policy". They are effectively forcing customers to pay for broken garbage and then charging monthly service fees for a device that CANNOT USE THE SERVICE.
I’ve wasted over 60 days dealing with their incompetent "support" and even had to escalate this to the California Public Utilities Commission (File No: **). They would rather fight a customer over a $200 refund than follow the California Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act. They offered me a measly $100 "goodwill credit" to try and shut me up while I’m out nearly $400 in hardware and service fees. Keep your "goodwill"—I’m taking you to Orange County Small Claims Court. To anyone reading this: Do not give these people a single cent of your hard-earned money. They are predatory, their "policies" are a joke, and they have zero respect for consumer law. You’ve been warned.
