We are a small business that have been using Kabbage for the last 12-18 months or so. No late payments (automatic withdrawal) and pretty consistent usage. As a result of Covid, Kabbage has now stopped lending. Our company is in a position of growth and relied on the Kabbage LOC when AR accounts stretched longer than anticipated. To simply pull credit that has already been approved even though our company's financials and revenue forecast only improved is very detrimental. I would like to recommend them, however, based on the lack of reliability I would only look to them as a worst case scenario. FYI Our LOC with Kabbage was $200,000.

I applied for a PPP loan with Kabbage, after few weeks I was informed that Kabbage could not verify my identity. Tried to get a hold of customer service for almost two weeks and nothing. Finally, today I was told that PPP SBA loans are closed. No emails, no follow up from this company. This company was not equipped to properly assist the millions of loan seekers, the SBA should pay attention who gets a license to operate with full service.

We submitted our PPP application through Kabbage with plenty of time before their deadline and satisfied the documentation requests. We did not receive a single email or any type of notification other than a pending status on the dashboard. Suddenly on 8/11/20 the dashboard changed to a notification that the PPP program has ended and Kabbage "unfortunately was unable to process the application before the deadline". I have been unable to get in touch with anyone at Kabbage to receive an explanation via email, phone or social media. Based on what I see here, on Twitter and on every other channel I can think of, Kabbage is terrible with respect to communication or any semblance of customer service.

I had originally applied for a PPP loan through Lendio by the original June 30th deadline. They referred me to Kabbage to continue my loan application through them instead. I struggled to complete my application because the website kept crashing and giving an error message. After talking with a rep, they had to reset the application completely. I applied all over again, only to get the error and crash message again. I waited a few days, tried one more time, and it finally went through.
Then, they kept sending automated emails for me to upload additional documents, that they didn’t initially request when I had applied. They kept asking for a schedule C, which my business doesn’t have. After emailing and getting no response whatsoever, and calling and waiting only to get hung up on, I finally talked to someone, who told me they would have to change my business structure on my application on their end, and told me one more additional document that I should upload. I uploaded it that day.
About a week later, I get an automated response that they’ve closed PPP applications and mine didn’t go through. I called to ask why, and they said I never uploaded my schedule C. I told the rep that my business doesn’t have one, that they’re asking for the wrong document, and I had uploaded the correct ones and was waiting for them to change my business to a corporation structure so it could be processed. But it was too late. This cost me thousands of dollars of forgivable loans that I could absolutely have used for payroll. They were utterly negligent and very hard to reach, and if I would have known this from the beginning, I would have applied through another lender.

About 3 years ago our business received a small $3500 line of credit from Kabbage. Credit used had been up and down. As of April of 2020 we had used about $2200. Then Covid hit and we asked for a 30 day extension for one payment. Great! They gave us the deferral. Went to make June payment only to discover they decreased my credit line to ZERO. We never had before or after missed a scheduled payment. Kabbage turned their back on small business customers so they could concentrate on doing SBA loans such as PPP. My balance is now at zero and I will looking at a new lending company. One that does not abandon good customers during a most difficult time. Note: This didn't just happen to us but rather thousands of Kabbage customers. All verifiable. From ex Kabbage user.

I just received an email that we did not qualify for a PPP loan because the application was incomplete. We called multiple times, emails and checked the website often. There was no indication that things were incomplete or any status update. I would stay away from this company as they are incompetent and offer an inferior product.

I submitted my PPP loan application complete with all requested documents. 5 mins later I received an email saying "Please submit this documentation". Same documentation I submitted so I clicked the link just to go to a 404 error page. Calls go right to VM saying "Busy". Emailed 3x asking how to resubmit the requested documentation. Climbed thru the whole website. Nothing. No surprise. They canceled my application due to lack of ID verification. Wow... :/ The program is closed now. Thanks, Kabbage. You suck.

I have never dealt with a bank like Kabbage, very disorganized and no one has a clue about anything I signed my loan papers on July 14th 2020 and I still don't have my funds. They are not complying with SBA guidelines. I might have to shut my business down because these people don't have a clue what they're doing. It's really a shame because I hired another guy to start work and now I might have to let him go because I needed the loan to keep my operation going. This is a sad day when a company like Kabbage steals your loan money.

I filled out for the Kabbage ppp on August 6th. I then got a "Congrats, you have been approved for such amount." When I log on, it said in a box to go and sign docs below however, there is no down below. I've called at least 35 times to hear my time ran out after they repeated the same lines over and over again. I've emailed. I've tried to reach out to the CEO still nothing. I understand they are working hard. I feel that's not right for no one to get back with me. I pressed everything from 1 to 0 still nothing. I just would like for someone to let me know where to go from here, my 10 days to sign these docs are coming up and I'm just asking for some help. Thank you.

Having been a customer with Kabbage for over 6 years now, I took out many loans in the past for things like inventory and equipment purchases. I've always paid the loans back in full and on time. We had over $20K in credit with Kabbage up until this "pandemic" came about in mid-March. At that time Kabbage decreased our credit line down to $0, refused to let us take any another loan and said they're focusing strictly on PPP loans. I'm not interested in the PPP program and I just want to continue to use our traditional credit line to fund operations. They completely pulled the rug out from under us.
Several calls through their automated maze of a phone system were completely pointless. Emails to our "account rep" went unanswered and we just received automated canned responses back. Shame on this company for pulling the plug on our credit line during the time we needed them the most and shame on this company for playing these games with small businesses. Prior to this "pandemic" aka "the great 2020 media scare," I would have rated Kabbage at 5 stars, but unfortunately after this stunt, they don't even deserve 1 star. It's completely disgraceful to treat your responsible and loyal customers in this way.

Kabbage quickly approved me for a loan. The last step was supposed to be for me to submit my banking info so that Kabbage could make two small deposits to verify my account. I was to then go to the website to confirm the two small deposits totalling 95 cents. After I did this I never heard anything else. I have a message on the dashboard displaying my approval amount, but there is also a message that states, "Please check below to make sure you've submitted your Uber-generated tax summary. Without this, we cannot disburse your funds. Once you've submitted these documents, we'll review them and let you know when your loan documents are ready to sign." This was copied directly from my dashboard. When checking below, there was nothing displayed. And there is no place to upload anything after the application is submitted!
At this point I called and called the customer service line, only to have the automated voice to say that my queue has timed out after about 5 minutes, and that I would have to call back another time. Then I called at 8am sharp one day and got through to a Customer Service Rep, she then says she needed to put me on hold to review the account, left me on hold for 10 min, came back to say she needed a few more minutes to review my account, 10 more minutes on hold...AND THEN SHE HUNG UP ON ME!!!! Of course I was never able to get through again after trying to call back 5 more times, but getting the timed out queue message again. I then emailed every email I could find on the website. And resent all my tax info and copy of DL to support@kabbage.com. I emailed PPP@kabbage.com, and replied back to kabbage@em.kabbage.com which is the email address from kabbage that keeps telling me to log in to take the loan by a certain day.
I never received a reply back from any of the emails and I only have a few days left until the date that the offer would be withdrawn. But they will not reply back with my loan docs, or the reason why they are not sent to me yet. Besides the fact that I am now infuriated with how poorly customer service operates, I am also afraid that this may be some type of scam and that my identity and financial info is at risk. I gave them my Bank account info and verified it for them and heard nothing else since. This is sad that myself as well as many others that I read about on this review site has been taken advantage of in this way, at a time where people seriously need help the most. I am in the process of trying to get info on what organization can hold Kabbage accountable for their actions. I can't help but to believe that maybe certain loans are being dispersed, but just not to who it was approved for. Hmmmm.

I cannot stress this enough, do not be enticed by the easy access that Kabbage makes the loans. They are 100% awful. Awful customer service (ESPECIALLY during COVID, they would leave dozens of voicemails about how we can work with you and help and then when you call them there is ZERO assistance). The Customer service was always extremely rude. Our bank accounts had been compromised and we asked for assistance or a month grace period and push it to the end and the lady legitimately snapped on me on that's not how this works and you have to pay with x days of your due to and you don't get a month your payments are weekly. NO, they were 100% monthly. I could not believe how rude she was.
During COVID we offered to settle, came to an agreement, received the letter of documentation (do not even make a move with them without written proof). We paid in full THAT day. The following day, I get a call saying we didn't pay. I explained we did and she was confused. Then a month later I get ANOTHER call asking for my address, saying we needed to discuss our account, and I said what about, we paid in full a month ago. She said well if you aren't willing to confirm your address we can't discuss and she HUNG UP.
This got me thinking, why in the world are they calling me. I log in and SURE THING, it said I still owed almost $9000. Are you kidding me?! The constant rudeness, the inability to communicate within the company is incomprehensible. For the amount of money you are putting on the line, there should not be experiences like this. Never again, and I hope this review will encourage you to look else well. Be careful, there are TONS of scams out there.

I submitted an application for a PPP loan a couple weeks ago with Kabbage and I uploaded my 1090 as part of my application. However, I meant to upload my full tax information that was completed by my accountant, which has my 1040, etc. information that was requested by Kabbage. The website, though, didn’t allow for an amendment, so the only option I had was to cancel the application and reapply. However, once I cancelled, it wouldn’t allow me to submit another application. I later was notified that the application was approved (despite it being cancelled).
I have literally called Kabbage over 40 times in the past two weeks to rectify this issue and see what can be done, only to be met with an automated voice message system that continues for 6-7 minutes before telling me my queue time has expired and hanging up on me. I cannot verify any aspect of my application and cannot get a hold of anyone within Kabbage. Their customer service mistreatment is among the worst I've ever seen. So I am just going to try and run down what happened between applying around 8am yesterday (7/16.) At 10:08 am I got the Congratulations, **CC, has been approved a PPP loan for $**zx. I thought great, that was quick. The email states that when go back onto Kabbage, there will be some paperwork to sign. Over the course of the day, I read some reviews, and everyone's experience with Kabbage was different. Some people getting separate emails before an approval. Thankfully, I sent a DM to Kabbage on Twitter. He told me that because I had to manually add my checking account, and I had not confirmed the micro-deposits, THAT is why I could not see the loan docs. And it makes a lot of sense if you read the reviews, they should really change what the approval emIl says, letting us know that it's OK if the loan docs aren't showing up if your bank account isn't confirmed.
So I woke up at just about 5am this morning, checked my bank and saw the deposits! Logged into Kabbage, confirmed the account! It then brought me to the loan docs to sign, it did take two separate tries using the DocuSign, but it worked! As soon as I signed my dashboard updated to Congratulations, we have deposited $** to your bank account ending in **. That was all done just before 5am. I think I may have the money in my account TODAY. If not I am sure I will see it Monday :-(. I am sorry lot of people seem to be having trouble, but I must have just been one of the lucky ones!! 5 Stars all around from me!! So grateful!

How is there not a class action suit already? I had a line of credit for years. Always paid on time, and paid off several times. Like many others, had my account frozen. Since pandemic, skipped one month, and have been making (scraping actually) weekly payments just to satisfy and show good faith. Learned those weekly payments are barely denting my balance, and also found my balance has increased over what I owed when line was frozen.
First rep I tried to negotiate with was obnoxious, rude, pressuring, and would cut me off when I spoke. Even said to me, "your industry should be doing really well right now". Wow! I feel that they are charging these blood sucking fees so that they can get healthy again, while sticking it to their loyal customers. There is nothing understanding, compassionate, or compromising with these folks at all. I lose sleep at night dealing with this because I fear losing everything just trying to pay them. I'm afraid of losing my high credit rating by not going along with their "forced terms". How can they treat people this way? We chose Kabbage to apply for the PPP program through the SBA and was approved for a loan. After approval there is a 10 day period that Kabbage has to deposit the funds into your bank account. The account they tried to make a deposit in was closed. So they required us to open a checking account and have a letter from the Bank with the Bank letterhead - My name - account and routing numbers - the bank's physical address and a signature by one of the bank's reps along with my signature. So we submit the Bank document and they connect the account to Kabbage but fail to make the deposit of the funds we were approved for. We have called and called only to have their automated system tell us our time on the queue has expired and hangs up. We have sent email after email after email with no response.
Then we finally get a response saying that the Regions Now account doesn't have the info they asked for. Well of course it doesn't! But had they taken the time to read our email further they would have noticed that the document with the proper info and regular checking account document was included in the first email. We actually opened 2 accounts with Regions Bank. One being a Regions Now account and the other account a regular checking account. We had previously signed the loan agreement agreeing to the terms and conditions of the loan and have been awaiting the deposit of funds we so critically need. If they do not deposit the funds we were approved for within the next day or two. They will have forced us to close up shop indefinitely. Thanks Kabbage!

The same day I get an email saying, "Thank you for your application for a loan through the paycheck protection program. Unfortunately, we are unable to approval your business application for the following reason not eligible and contact the ppp dispute at kabbage."
I was so upset because kabbage doesn't want to update your application and just flat denied your loan application. So the following day I reached out to disaster customer service and I explain everything that had happen with kabbage and they told me to go to covid19relief1.sba.gov and submit an application. Two week later I was approved with the current loan amount and funds deposit one week later. So if I was you stop submitting your application with kabbage and just go to the government website and they will help.

Our company has been with Kabbage for over a year. At first the streamline process was great and we were able to get a small amount with high interest because we were a new business and we're building our business credit. Their customer service was always "ok" and we have worked with many other companies like PayPal Loan Builder, Square Capital, Quick Bridge and Bitty Advance. The only company that would not work with us as we grew our credit was Kabbage and after this year we are done with their services.
After phone calls and emails for 3 months during the pandemic, I finally received a phone call the 4th month to let me know our balance was past due. This was not a call to reply to the numerous emails and phone messages I left for the past 3 months. Now our business has been closed since March 12th 2020 and we have made no revenue and received absolutely no help from the state or federal government programs. So when I asked what could be done to help after Kabbage continued to withdraw payments for the past 3 months, they told me absolutely nothing could be done unless we paid for this 4th month and that was not a guarantee.
No other company gave us this answer, every loan we have was willing and able to break down the loan into smaller amounts to allow us to make reasonable payments while we have no revenue coming in, some even increased our availability to help us resume business. We also noted the articles on how Kabbage was getting more customers with PPP, but here we are, a customer for over a year and nothing. We are absolutely disgusted at this point. We will be transferring the remainder of our balance to PayPal Loan Builder who has been absolutely wonderful for the 2 years we've worked with them and done everything to help our business grow even in the worst case scenario like most small businesses are dealing with right now.

As a small business we have worked very hard to secure capital to operate. We tried Kabbage, and lately our service with them has been discouraging. We do not recommend using this loan service provider. The best way to tell how a company treats you, is when times are hard. During COVID-19 we have lost everything. Kabbage, being one of the places we thought would help, did not. We have reached out to them multiple times and even multiple ways, by email, and phone. No response by phone or email. They demand outrageous payback fees and it's impossible to reach a supervisor.
When we spoke to one in particular, who was a supervisor, he was incredibly rude, his cell phone was ringing in the background, he hung up on us and didn't listen to our conversation. I have yet to speak with someone that cares about our well-being as a small business. We requested a callback and never received one. They did not offer any options to assist us in repayment or deferment. Large ambiguous fees. Steer clear!

I just read an online article in Forbes Kabbage PPP Small Business Loans. I got a good laugh that a respected media source like Forbes would feature a company such as Kabbage. Kabbage takes advantage of small business that hasn't been around long enough to establish credit or has a lower credit rating. Among the many negative aspects of Kabbage, the fixed-fee structure (meaning that early repayment does not save interest), non-transparency, monthly fees, and astronomical rates compared to other online lenders. Beware, this company is NOT a small business' friend.

I kept contacting them and each and every time I got through the story would change, different reps different stories - I was told numerous time I was approved, as a matter of fact I received an email stating I was approved and all I needed to do was sign. When I tried to log in the system was trying to load and never loaded the docs I needed to sign. When I called they told me I was good to sign but they needed another voided check. Just horrible.
I went ahead and applied with another lender - which unfortunately tells me I already have the SBA approval through with another lender (kabbage) therefore I cannot go through them (new lender). I'm still trying to resolve the issue and they keep telling me that I in fact an approved to disregard all the emails I am getting. But they keep coming in every so often. I'm just so frustrated, I feel they have played games all along, I'm very disappointed. I just want to cancel the application and go elsewhere. Do not waste your time with kabbage. They have suspended our loan since they did not receive a sign doc within 20 days? We never received any docs to sign!! Have tried contacting them since day 1 with no luck or response by phone and email, however someone did reply from TWITTER stating they now need to reprocess our paperwork because it’s past 20 days. The result - it was 2 weeks ago and still nothing. It’s now impossible to apply for another loan because it’s secured through them. Not sure if Kabbage understands or even cares about the magnitude this does to small businesses like ours trying to rehire staff to reopen with no funding. They said OK. 3) "I am sorry. We cant help you because you are a Sole-Proprietor." Written in the Federal PPP loan is Sole proprietors are eligible for the program. They refused me and I fit in all of the categories. If you are not going to comply with the program maybe you should not be getting the federal money to hand out. I turned to Kabbage for a PPP loan when I had trouble with another company. It was very easy to apply for the loan through Kabbage, and Kabbage promptly submitted it to the SBA, and I received almost immediate word that I had qualified. Then, however, the process stalled. I was unable to complete the last step of the process, one step shy of being able to sign loan docs, and I received an online message to call Kabbage at the number listed. Problem was that they never answered the phone. Nor did they return numerous emails, and all the while the loan expiration date arrived.
At that point, I saw a few reviews where people went on Twitter to try to get the attention of the Kabbage team via direct message, and that proved successful for me too. They responded that I would be contacted within a few days, and I was. And then the final steps were completed. Does that rate 1 star for the inability to communicate for several days, or 5 stars for ultimately getting the PPP loan? I split the difference at 3 stars.

I called Wednesday, May 20, 2020 and Howard answered again and after I said I spoke to him most recently, he acted as though we had been disconnected as I could clearly hear him breathing in the phone as I would say, "Howard, Howard can you hear me? Howard, Howard...Howard. Are you there" only to be hung up on. I immediately called back and the first call had been kicked out due to call volume and my second call was picked up and hung up!!!! Very disappointed with the follow thru as I'm waiting for this much needed useful PPP loan that is due to be expired...

While we understand that many companies are overwhelmed at this time, the mixed messages and complete disregard for the small businesses that Kabbage claims to support through the role providing PPP loans as representatives of the SBA is reprehensible. Our loan was approved by the SBA on 4/27. We filled out some additional information over a week ago as requested by Kabbage online to confirm that we are eligible for the loan as a small business with <500 employees, no subsidiaries, etc. We received confirmation at that time that we are, in fact eligible for the loan. The same message saying that they have everything that they need from us and that we would receive our loan documents to sign has been posted for more than 10 days now.
5 days ago, they started sending emails saying that we have until today, 5/11 to complete and sign our paperwork and claim our funds that have been approved. After receiving 4 of those same emails, emailing Kabbage multiple times, and placing an uncountable number of calls to the number they provided, only to be disconnected by their system because "the wait time has been exceeded", we still have heard nothing.
As a result of Kabbage's lack of follow through and response, we stand to lose the ONLY option as a small business to support employees and claim the funds we were approved for two weeks ago. This is simply not right, under any circumstances. I am sorry to be so public about this, but after trying every other avenue to get their attention, this seems like it is the only option I have left to hopefully get some kind of response.

They pulled all credit from everyone as soon as COVID started. Then as I was going about applying for EIDL and PPP loans I find out they never reported anything, they just took my money.
You can’t reach anyone as they seem to be rerouting to the PPP loans, how I have no clue as they are the first to say they charge these high rates because they aren’t a bank, thus how can you do PPP loans if you aren’t a bank. Completely corrupt. Cost me a couple grand for absolutely nothing. I had a credit line with Kabbage since 2019. I made payments on time every month and ended up paying the initial loan early in full and decided to take out some more money to finance some new inventory. Everything was going fine as usual and I was making payments without issue and then the pandemic happened and like many others Kabbage pulled my credit line, even though I had at least $20k still available to me, which put me in a bind. I thought I could rely on that credit line for my business if anything, like a pandemic, happened. At first they were understanding and let me defer 1 months payment and told me if you need more time or need to defer again just call us back and we will see how the situation is evolving.
Well since my credit line was pulled and my business has been forced to close we have no revenue coming into the company so I tried to call Kabbage 2 weeks before my payment was due to request another deferment as they instructed me to do. I have now called 10 times and left 10 voicemails over the last 2 weeks and sent at least 3 emails which none have been responded to and I have yet to get a call back. They auto-drafted the payment from my account so I called my bank and had them reverse it since I have yet to be able to speak to anyone at Kabbage to request deferment or an adjustment to my payment and during these unprecedented times Kabbage has done everything to make the situation so much worse for my company.
I used to love Kabbage and swear by them but when times are tough we find out their true colors. I would highly recommend anyone thinking of doing business with Kabbage to reconsider and find another lender, as if there isn't a ton out there, who will actually answer the phone or respond to an email when you have a question about your account. Kabbage should be shut down for what they have done and their incredibly terrible customer service. The government should have never allowed them to take part in the PPP program since they are obviously incapable of handling the customers they already had let alone taking on new ones. Good luck to anyone that does business with them going forward!

I am going to withdraw my application so I can receive funding from another source. Risky, I know, but the other reviews here don't give me confidence that Kabbage will ultimately come through with funding.

Before COVID-19, I was a satisfied customer, but they have been a disaster to deal with during this already stressful time. I have to call multiple times a day every single day to maybe get lucky to get someone on the phone. I've gotten a person twice in the last 6 weeks. I've emailed, I've left voicemails and have received ZERO communication. Unlike other companies with whom I have loans who gave me extensions until we are able to legally reopen, Kabbage gave me a 7 day extension and then went ahead and cleared out ALL my accounts that have ever been tied to this business. I requested that my personal bank account be removed as I haven't worked since March 15th and need every penny for my family. Was told it would be done and guess what... they cleared out that account 2 days ago as well. After already clearing out my business account.
These are unauthorized payments. Period. As I've stated I have no income at the moment personally or on the business side. And I removed my personal bank account information so that they couldn't take my personal funds. If you want to deal with a company who doesn't care about you in the middle of a crisis, go ahead and move forward. But if you want a company with a soul, move along. I plan to never do business with them ever again. And will not be suggesting any of my other small business friends use them.

We were having trouble getting any help or movement on our PPP loan through our regular big bank and someone suggested trying Kabbage. We fairly quickly got an email saying that our loan request had been approved and that we needed to sign our loan documents, that they would be sent to us after verifying our ID. That was 9 days ago. And nothing. No way to find the documents to sign, no response from Kabbage despite calling, emailing, messaging through social media apps.
Now we got an email 'reminder, that we only have until May 12th to sign our docs. There is literally no way to do that and we have no idea if this means we will be back to square one trying to find another lender to start over. There is just no response at all from Kabbage. Worse, the loan from the big bank was now denied because Kabbage already has us in the system. So we are between a rock and a hard place with no way of figuring out how to find and sign our loan documents.

As many who have left reviews before me, Kabbage's glitch prevents the completion of a PPP loan. After having been approved, I received an email stating that I need to sign to take my loan and that approval is about to expire. The link leads to a dashboard with an error message that id documents are being reviewed with NO way to sign ANYWHERE on the site. Numerous emails are left unanswered. Numerous attempts to call are unsuccessful, as one gets placed on hold and then disconnected. Whether this is too small an operation to handle the volume (i.e. overpromise and underdeliver) or a scam... the results are the same. Do not ever expect to receive a PPP loan through these people.

We have spoken to other providers but cannot secure a new loan because Kabbage already had an approval for us and that blocks other lenders from submitting. The survival of our business depends on this loan.

I was referred to Kabbage for a ppp loan because my bank wasn’t providing that loan and none of the others would do it for non existing customers. Everything seemed to go fine with the application which said I was approved for an amount equal to 2.5x my monthly payroll. I check in to the website 3 days ago and find there are a couple more questions to answer but my loan amount was suddenly 1/5 for what I was approved. I tried calling and emailing but got no where. Then the next day I got an email saying the loan was ready for me to log in and sign documents and I had until May 14 to accept the loan or the money would be sent back to SBA. But when I logged in, it had the lower amount listed along with saying I needed to answer those questions again.
But when I click on it, it takes me back to the same page I’ve seen for weeks with the original larger amount but no loan documents to sign. I have now spent three days calling but no one ever answers and I have emailed a dozen times. So now I am unable to get any money from this fraud of a company, even though I have been approved. What a mess and a joke.

Now that Celtic bank has frozen kabbage credit line, we are expected to pay on loan as if credit line was still useable which it isn't. The Mother of all Class Action lawsuits will be the end of Kabbage and its fraudulent practices. The PPP BS was just to buy Kabbage time to try and recoup some money back so they could stay afloat. I took 20 000$ loan with Kabbage even if I was aware of high fees. But what shocked me the most was how little paying the loan early affects how much you will pay in fees. The ways fees are setup is ridiculous. I paid half of my loan on my 1st payment expecting to see significant drop in fees for future payments, but to my surprise the fees for upcoming months payments were not reduced a dime. The fees you will pay are set fees and not the interest on remaining balance. You will basically be paying all the fees set in advance until the balance is paid in full. I tried to get hold of them with no luck. They won't respond to email nor voicemail. I wanted to get my loan fees recalculated because I will be paying off the loan earlier than planned. I planned for 12 months and will probably repay the loan in less than 6 months, but will still end up paying over 80% of the fees. This lender is basically a definition of predatory lender. Stay away.

Approved for PPP. Can't get docs, can't get anyone on phone, email, Facebook, or overnight correspondence. Cant go elsewhere as SBA shows approved. I applied for the PPP loan with Kabbage. I got an email stating they were going to do a test deposit into my bank account. I went in and saw the deposits and logged in. It said that my loan couldnt be approved due to them not being able to verify my identity. I called 20-25 times to no avail. I overnighted a letter to no avail. I emailed 5-6 times to no avail. I messaged on Facebook and got someone to respond, and they asked for my NACIS number which I Gave to them and then they went silent.
I then got an email stating I was approved for $7000+ and that I needed to log in to get docs. I logged in and it's still saying they can't approve me because they can't prove my identity. I went to my local bank who processed everything, but then said they couldnt continue because the SBA is showing me approved. I can't get docs to sign. I can't get anyone on the phone, or email, or even Facebook now. My business is crumbling before my eyes. Any penny would help at this point. Like everyone else in this review, I applied to Kabbage 2 weeks ago. I submitted all the documents requested the day I applied. Within a 2 wk matter they have updated my portal requesting additional documentation and asking questions that have already been submitted and answered! Mind you, they do not send a email to you letting you know there’s been changes to your portal. Each time I found out by randomly logging in and checking for updates. So yesterday I get a email saying “you do not qualify, your application has been denied”. I’m like WTF— there’s no explanation.
Luckily the same day I applied with them I also applied with US Bank who have processed my loan and got be approved within 2 weeks. My money was deposited this morning. I am urging everyone to go try US Bank— you do not have to be a customer, I am not a customer of theirs but once everything settles I will be pulling all my money out of my Chase account (who I never heard back from and been a customer of theirs for 10 years) and going to US Bank. To my fellow peers, please go give them a try. The process was very smooth and straight forward. Just google “US Bank PPP” the first link is the where you’ll apply. Good luck and God Bless!

I've done business with Kabbage for years now and have always paid on time, never asked for anything from them and rightfully earned that $29k credit line with Kabbage. My story is like a broken record here: I logged in to my account at the end of March and found my credit line yanked, with no explanation and no communication from Kabbage at all. I had to e-mail my rep and call them to find out what was going on. My rep told me that I would be put on a "fast track" to have my situation reviewed and have my funds restored. That would take 5 days. I asked what I could do to help my case and followed the rep's instructions.
During this "pandemic" my sales have been slightly higher which would make my case even stronger, so you would think. I'm weeks in and still nothing has changed, I still have 0 funds available and no follow-up from my rep. The "apology" letter a few weeks into this from the head of Kabbage was pathetic. It was along the lines of "sorry we messed up." Come on, he knew what he was doing. Take heed from the 1-star reviews here. Well today I logged into my account and decided to take a look at the list of transactions. Kabbage has been charging me weekly fees since the first call. They are not pulling these from my account but rather adding them to the balance. The numbers are not small either. Every week it's at least $125 but sometime $480 and $100. They posted a ridiculous banner on their website that we should explore other forms of funding by selling gift certificates to our clients and customers! They have not updated their website with any relevant information for three weeks.
Many of my clients have suffered the same fate, people whose businesses I referred to Kabbage who are now calling me for an explanation, and I have none. Someone needs to get knocking on Kabbage's office door in Atlanta, Georgia and find out what is going on. I tried to file a complaint with the Attorney General in Georgia but could not get it to go through. My next complaint is to the Inspector General of the United States. Maybe that will get their attention. I also disconnected my debit card from their site, I will never do business with them again.
In a time of need for all our customers and businesses out there, they decided to profit instead of help. I hope the States and the Federal government shut them down for good. They made enough money off the predatory interest to pay for all their loans many times over. And yet the first sign of trouble, they grab their money and run, leaving all their clients to try to manage their businesses with no business. This is an appalling way to act and they deserve to close their doors and be fined or, at the very least, the Attorney General needs to force them to return all the interest payments back to their customers.

Updated on 04/02/2020: Just like to post another review about my experience still as it is ongoing. On this site since I posted and others sharing the same experience there has suddenly been an increase in full star outstanding reviews for this company. Since reading them I noticed the same representative was mentioned in multiple reviews.
I am doing another post as I have all week tried to contact this company both email, website support link and phone call with still no response. I've tried contacting them after reading they deferred someone payment for 30 days within minutes as I would like the same. Why haven't I heard from this company or got connected through to someone that can help or answer a question? I will repost again if someone reaches out to me from kabbage or if I finally reach a person.
Original: I have used Kabbage for over 2 years. To spite their fees the ease of use made it simple. I'm in the construction industry and the season is still going as we do infrastructure work. I had a credit line of 100k. With just under 70k available. This pandemic hit and my account was frozen. Never missed paying a payment and repaid 7 different draws. I tried phoning and emailing and no response.
You would think that with their CEO putting out his concerned letter and supposedly wanting to help businesses they would freeze withdrawing funds for 30 days like most banks and creditors are doing. No. Not at all. Mine was withdrawn this week still like many others probably as well. I log in today to check my status and the almost 70k I had available is gone. I'm no longer eligible for withdrawal apparently. Great job kabbage as I look forward to never doing business with you again. Way to support small business even with the bills that have passed this week and banks will have access to billions to loan out. Extremely disappointed in you and thanks for the support of a federally registered service disabled veteran small business.

Their response to COVID-19 has been appalling. While you see lenders like Loanbuilder proactively give 30 days of no payments on their loans to allow businesses to recover, Kabbage's response consisted of: 1.) Locking down line of credits (even if you had 10,000 or 20,000 available, you can't draw it.) 2.) No response to repeated emails to CSM asking for some communication. I will pay off what I owe and take my business to reputable lenders.

The first rep that I called gave me no information at all. The second time I called the rep said that the company is doing this a lot (blocking access to LOC) because of the Coronavirus. We have been partnered with Kabbage for approximately 4 years. During this time, we have drawn on a regular basis to help pad cash flow and keep up with other relationships. It has cost us additional expense to which we did not mind since our partnership with Kabbage was solid until recently. Last month, our line was reduced by around $8,000 and then this month we were blocked from drawing because we are now considered ineligible. When we called in we were told we do not meet your criteria. Not a single missed or late payment in 47 months, what criteria exactly?
How can a company that maintains an impeccable relationship with Kabbage by never missing a single payment or having an item returned be listed as ineligible? We understand the reduction in available line and we're adjusting our forecast accordingly, but with a recent downturn in business with the COVID-19 concerns we expected Kabbage to be there and now instead have turned their backs on us. We don't understand their philosophy behind honoring relationships with stand-up companies like ours but will not dig into this further.
We are the sole reason companies like Kabbage are in business, the reputable businesses that borrow and pay as schedule while incurring mediocre interest rates. We contribute to the health of their business, to ensure their employees have jobs and their shareholders have dividends to split. In trying times like the current pandemic situation we are going through, how could a company we have supported turn their backs on us? We wanted to share our experience and will gladly pay down the balance as scheduled and severe ties with a company that doesn't value long running solid relationships.

Kabbage was referred to us by our fleet card services. Got approved in no time but the interest rate was ridiculous. I told the account manager that I would be interested in using this in the future if we ever needed it with the agreement that we could work on the interest rate. The account manager reached out to me a couple times to work on "adding" business ties to drop the rate but always reached out at inconvenient times for me to provide the info. I received an email wanting to know if I would still be interested in using the funds available. I replied and said yes as long as we can still get the interest rates down.
Here is his response. "Hey Chris, I told you multiple times how to get the interest rates down when you first applied with us, I called and called, left multiple voicemails and emails, and was unable to reach you unfortunately to login and get everything fixed up. There is not much I can do now. In order to get lower interest rates from us, you must reconnect your bank, connect your other checking account with ** Bank ending in **, verify both channels, and take an initial draw so we can re-evaluate your business." I can say in my opinion that is not how you earn someone's business.

What a nightmare Kabbage was! We planned to use them for a loan to purchase material on Alibaba using a Kabbage offering called Pay Late. We buy tens of thousands of products from overseas for our business. We asked Kabbage if we could pay off the loan using an American Express Corporate card from our business. We were told by several people this was 100% okay, there are no transaction fees or other fees. Only that we'd have to pay the 1st month interest. Sure, no problem. We verified this 3 times,....twice with Detric and once with Matthew. It was a nightmare to attach bank accounts, didn't work well, had to be sent to tech support. YES, shockingly, they want you to directly link your corporate bank accounts to their system so they can access your banking information. SCARY!
We were very hesitant, but decided to give them a try. Their system didn't work because it didn't like that our checking account was a money market checking, they wanted a regular business checking account. Really? It's simply a checking account that pays interest. So we had to transfer money around to appease them. It was a mess!!
We got all setup 2-3 days later, literally took that long for them to get it together. Then we started to make our purchase and decided it would be smart to give them one last call to be sure everything was correct, since it had been a nightmare to that point. And we were told, "No way, we absolutely won't accept an AmEx or any credit card to payoff the loan!!" Ugh, what a HUGE WASTE OF TIME AND MAJOR FRUSTRATION!! This was the whole point and we had been totally honest and upfront about our intentions. We closed the account, unlinked our bank accounts and changed all our passwords. NIGHTMARE - BEWARE!!!

At first we had a positive experience with Kabbage. The review process was straightforward and quick. However, after borrowing and paying off regularly and on-time for a little under a year, the monthly payments became absolutely ridiculous. Our balance never went over $72K, but our minimum monthly payments went from a doable $3K/mo. to $9K/mo. then to $17K/mo. and now is at $24K/mo. because we could not pay the full $17K on time. What's worse, is that they can fully access our bank accounts at will and without warning. We have had them withdraw $11K automatically at one time and withdrawing another $3K from our other bank simultaneously, both of which bounced.
We could not do a thing about it. They are relentless, railroading the automatic payments every few days until they go through. We've tried to negotiate with them, but they are unbending when it comes to the minimum monthly payments. They will only give you a maximum of 7 days to come up with the full amount. We tried to get a consolidation loan to pay them off, and because of the bounced payments, we were denied. So now we are stuck with them and it's ruining our credit. DO NOT GO WITH KABBAGE!!!

I’ll start by saying that after the run-around we received from Kabbage, our bank gave us a decent line-of-credit for 4x what we we asking for with reasonable interest rates, which we simply need for peace-of-mind as well as potential future growth of our 10-year-old small business. Why we hadn’t gone to our bank first, was because my business partner was on maternity leave, which caused a cash flow issue for which we thought Kabbage might provide some instant gap funding until our processes were running normally again. Wrong!
Well here’s what happened... When I first applied to Kabbage, they asked for everything, including our company and personal tax returns, over the course of 2 weeks. Upon “approving” us for a minimal loan amount, and then “approving” us for our card, we let this sit for a few weeks until we thought we actually needed the funding. That last payroll before my business partner got back from maternity leave was tight, so when we finally tried to draw funds from Kabbage, they had put a hold on the account, and instead requested that we submit even MORE financial information to get approved again...!
So much for being “approved” and going through weeks of back and forth! All in all, their lack of urgency, clarity on their terms, and lack of reliability was unprofessional and felt scammy. We are thankful that we made that payroll after all, with business booming once again, and with an excellent line-of-credit from our own bank. We dodged a bullet not going with Kabbage!!!

I took out a $10,400 loan on a 12 month payment schedule on 3/25/2019. Kabbage gives you a supposed payment that list your principal and interest which is extremely high interest ($702 mo. interest), by the way. My particular payment schedule listed my payments as beginning on the 4/28/2019 and ending on 3/28/2020. It also showed the principal and interest amount being paid on the 28th payment date. I needed the money, however, and I knew that I could pay it back in 1-2 months vs the year they were giving me. I figured I would only have to pay 1-2 months of this loan shark rate. But, lo and behold, when I went to pay off the loan on my second payment after already having made one $1567 payment the 1st month which supposedly included $866 principal payment, I find that my $10,400 principal is now $10,937!!!
I called to get an explanation of this and find out that Kabbage deceptively applies the interest schedule on the day the loan is initiated vs the payment and interest layout presented on your account. So while they lead you to believe that your P&I is as they have it presented on your account, their applying interest on a totally schedule not explained so I literally had to pay 3 months interest ($2100) for the 2 month period. They claim not to charge initiation or early payoff but it's all factored into their rates. This is a bonafide loan shark company with heavy front loaded interest rates on their loans. I'll never use them again and will advise everyone I know about this unethical company. Mike.
