My car now is fixed and operating safely and properly for the price quoted in the time agreed to. Can't beat that so I would definitely go back! They did what they said they would do in the time they said they would for the price they quoted, can't ask for more than that for car repairs. Answered all my questions although it was a little tough to coordinate schedules to get the car in but they were flexible and were able to work it out. Great people and great service with a can do attitude that made it easy to get the repairs done and get back with my car and on with life.
I was scammed from the beginning of my experience. I called to get a quote on torque converter and they immediately noticed I sounded too nice or I was not too knowledgeable. Long story short, they changed the quote of the part, didn't return phone calls, was very rude, bullied me. The truck went in with a check engine light on, no signs of a failed transmission. Each day I called, supposedly then there was something else until they said, "Your transmission is a mess." They wouldn't give me a written estimate when it was just two parts and even when I wanted to pick up my truck they lied and said they did and pretended I was in the beginning stages of just dropping the truck off.
I recorded the final conversation that proves they never intended on giving me an estimate. They wanted me to just pick up my truck without an estimate or authorized charges and have me pay $3200 for a complete rebuild instead of something that would have been around $700. Also, I thought it was strange that they collected my driver's license number (at first they wanted my social). I believe that was going to be their way of trying to authorize charges. And from reading here I think that would have lead to them calling the cops and making it seem like I wouldn't pay the charges. They are hip to the game that really cops are not judges and can not solve a customer complaints. They would just show doctored documents, almost have a line to say to the cop and make the customer seem like a criminal. I'm planning on taking them to court and I think they are due for a class action suit so they can be put out of business.
BEWARE OF THESE CROOKS! My son had his 2002 BMW x5 towed to Milex in Holiday because of a Valpak coupon stating free tow and diagnostic with repair. He had no brakes. He received a quote for repair totaling $2474 + TAX, front pads -180, brake booster -1142, master cylinder -747, CV axle -231, bleed system - 40, Brake wear sensor - 134.
The parts from the local parts store came to under 550. He opted not to have the work completed here. Fernando, the owner charged him $187 for towing 3 miles and diagnostic. I called the tow company to see what the cost of towing would be, $44. I called Milex to see what a diagnostic would be for brake and transmission problem even if I did not have the work done there. I was told there would be no charge. I went to Milex with the quote stating that the master cylinder had to be pulled to pull the booster and they were charging double labor since the part was $135.
I was then informed that they mark their parts up 3x their cost. Richard was very nice. Fernando, the owner, was defending his thievery to the max. They charged to bleed the system even though it had to be done to repair the booster. I had AAA tow it to Tire Outlet in New Port Richey. The master cylinder is NOT bad. The rest of the work needs to be done. My price from them is under $800+ tax!
Be very careful dealing with Lestor, a big scammer and liar. I was quoted 5hrs at 95 a hour on a tranny install and ended up paying 1400. Lots of hidden charges and fake lies. Stay stay away from this shop and they will hustle you to the maxxx.
I brought my Trailblazer on 19th of January to get a diagnostic on my transmission. The manager called me back that afternoon to let me know that the transmission was starting off in the wrong gear. He let me know how much it would be to fix it and it was repaired in two days. I am a single mother of two children and did not have the full amount. We worked out and amount that I could afford and allowed me to make payments on the rest of the amount. Thank you to the owner Robert and their staff.

I went to Mr. Transmission in Montgomery, Alabama to get my fluid change. I really felt as if he did not change my fluid because after I left, my truck got worst. He could have not put any in as far as I'm concerned, so I could come back to them to fix the whole transmission. Please avoid them. He may be cheaper but if you want your car done right, find someone else to go to - may be higher, but worth it.
Mr Alan initially quoted me $700 parts and labor, called me later with new quote of $1400 and if I decided not to fix my car I still have to pay him $598 for his time. Didn't have a choice I said ok. When he claimed he fixed my car went to the shop. He won't let me test drive it until I paid him. He told me, "You have a six month warranty, you need to pay first and then you can test drive your van." My car kept breaking down, kept taking to his shop was never fixed, took it to his shop for about 4 times each time a different excuse, my van been at his shop for about 20 days. Was never fixed. Lost my money and time, I had to take it to a different shop to have fixed. I have recordings of him. I have documents from other mechanics with established names in the market.
Horrible! Do not go there. They still have my car after two weeks. I paid $3790 for a rebuild and within 23 miles, the car failed. That was a Friday night. No car all weekend, then Monday they towed it. Couldn't figure out anything. Then they said it was my car computer's fault (despite no prior issues with that). They said I could not go anywhere and fix the computer. They said if I don't buy it from them (non-computer experts) and let them put it in, they will void the warranty on the transmission parts and labor they already did. They did not see a problem with the computer before when they examined all the transmission parts and gave me an assessment and quote for repair. They don't know why all of sudden there is a catastrophic failure right after they installed the transmission. They don't have the equipment to test or rest computers yet they made me buy another one. They say they are not liable for the computer. It was blackmail.
I reluctantly agreed to have it put in for $250 so I could get my car back. Then the owner of the business, a Ms. ** called me, insulted me and said if I did not withdraw my BBB complaint, she would raise the cost of the fix to $700. When I said no, she called the shop and told them the only way I could get my car was to come down there in 30 minutes (by closing at 5 on Friday, again) with $549 cash. They take credit cards but they said now they would not take a card from me. This is kidnapping or theft or blackmail. SURELY this is illegal??? The police said it is wrong and violation of my CIVIL rights. DO NOT GO THERE. Learn from my terrifically horrible experience. I still have no car and still out thousands of dollars.
Went in for free estimate. Madison Mr. Transmission called later saying it would be $3,900 to fix my car (which is worth only 2,700) or I could pay them $595 to pick up my car NOT repaired. I said I was coming to pick it up and was not paying them because of the FREE ESTIMATE and they said they would have me arrested for theft of services. Don't ever go to them. They are CON ARTIST!
I am beyond happy with my experience with Blair and the rest of the team at the Pembina location in Winnipeg. Everyone was friendly, respectful, and efficient. I feel Blair was honest and explained everything really great! There were no surprises. I will definitely recommend Mister Transmission to my family and friends. The next time I have an issue with my car my first call will be to Mister Transmission.
After Mr. Transmission charged me $1,712.27 the transmission began slipping with other malfunctions on the way home. That was over a month ago. The owner James Gray is 100% conman. I wouldn't let them work on my lawnmower. I will either need to take my car to a different shop and pay for what Mr. Transmission didn't do i.e. I seriously doubt that MR. TRANSMISSION even pulled my transmission. I am more inclined to believe they changed the filter. This has been the worst experience I've ever had with any business.
I originally brought my vehicle in because my check engine light was on. I was told that I would need 1700 dollars worth of work. We did that one-month later while I was still in warranty. I brought it back. They say that I've driven almost 1000 miles, which we have a 12,000 mile 12 month warranty on the work and they say that now I need it for my transmission to be rebuilt, which costs $2,950. We did that. Now my check engine light is back on. It's been there for over a week and they're saying that they can't find what's wrong with the car after I paid almost $5000.
Took my car to Mr. Transmission on Nov. 25 and spoke to Steve the manager, was given an estimate of 1491.44. Just an estimate I understand. Called back that afternoon and said it would be 2385.00 and I went and paid them with my M/C. Said my car would be a 48 hour turn around was told my car would be ready Dec. 2. After several calls that day Steve finally called me back after 7pm and said it would be another 656.37. Said he needed to charge my Credit Card for that amount and would email me the repairs and copy of my charge and car would be ready Dec. 3. Went to the shop to pick up my car and the power had been turned off, technician Tommy that had been working on my car said Steve had taken off with the money, credit card scanner and all the paperwork. He told me I probably need legal advice.
Called Citibank from their parking lot, cancelled my card since he had all my information and disputed the charges. That night my friend stopped to check on the car. Lights were on and they were having a meeting. Was told car would be ready tomorrow. Next day, Dec. 4 my friend stopped to check on the car there is Steve in handcuffs in back of patrol car. Was told car will be ready tomorrow. Dec. 5 car's still not ready it will be tomorrow. Robert ** tells me still problems with the car, “After they test drove it, your car will be ready Monday,” and I'll need to bring them 3000.00 cash to get my car back. Now remember, they already got the money from my credit card. Steve apparently was released and left the state. Dec. 8 was told valve body was bad, needed to be replaced. This was already supposed to have been done. Now waiting for part to come in. Car will be ready tomorrow. Dec. 9 now there's a new manager, Josh. Still waiting on part. Car will be ready tomorrow. Dec 10 never received a call back, my friend stopped by, part still not there. Called at 3 & 5pm. Car will be ready at 6pm. Tech Tommy is test driving car.
Get there to pick up my car and seriously considered paying cash to get it back and deal with the credit card issue later. Drove a mile up the road and car is going up to 4000 rpms and slamming into gear. Had Josh drive it and he agreed it was not acceptable. Dec. 11 spoke to M/C and was told under no circumstances pay them in cash per Mark with Citibank fraud division. Now Josh said the electronics are bad on valve body. This is the 3rd time supposedly the valve body has been replaced. Now Josh calls at 6:15pm and says drum is bad? “Maybe we'll have it ready tomorrow..” Dec 12 finally heard from Josh at 3:30, wrong part came in waiting for the correct part. Called them back at 5:40pm filling it with transmission fluid again, third time. Josh called said “Car is running great.” I take the Harris County Sheriff's department with me this time. Car is still doing the same thing. 4-5000 rpms, slams into gear and actually causing my tires to make skid marks on the pavement. Sheriff's department said “This is civil matter. Take them to court.”
Third officer pulls up and said he had already been there earlier. Was told by officer they are there on a regular basis. Bottom line, this place is ran by people that are crooks that take advantage of honest hardworking people. I went to the Harris County Courthouse to file and was told there are 3 lawsuits right now against this business. I have contacted Fox 26 news consumers advocate Emily Akin and received a warm response from them. I have retained an attorney and working with Citibank's fraud division. I will have to take my car to another transmission shop when I finally do get it back and hopefully they can repair it. Apparently these people do not have the ability to fix transmissions or conduct business in an honest ethical manner.
Drove our jeep there and our transmission is now in the back of the jeep in pieces. We agreed to pay Robert 495.00 for repair, but then he said the transmission fell apart, and now it will cost 3150. We are taking him to court.
I just want my car back and I don't trust them and I don't want them to do the work. They misled me, lied to me, intimidated me with the law, and now they are forcing me to get repairs done at their shop or they will keep my car. They told me that they could give me back my car because of the Lemon Law, but I have used 2002 vehicle. They told me the diagnostic was free and that I would only pay anything if I choose to put my transmission back in the car. I told them, "No, I want me car back and I don't want the transmission back in the car."
Now they are threatening to keep my car unless I get work done with them. They also stated that I authorized them to do work because I gave them my driver license number. He didn't say that when he asked me for it. Since (according to Boris) the Lemon Law is the reason why they are keeping my car, then I advised them that I don't want to have to file suit. They told me to take them to court. They are a hot unprofessional ghetto mess.
Nice to get you in the door! Never calls customer on updates or diagnostics. Always say they will get to the vehicle next morning. Drop car off on Tuesday 8:20 am. Richard says will get to it Wednesday morning. I called Wed. 4pm. Richard now says next Monday, they can diagnose car. That makes 6 days later from time he said when car dropped off. He argued with me on phone saying he looked at vehicle and said that I as a customer have known the transmission has been having issues for a while by the color of the fluid he had seen.
I told him, "No, we just noticed it. In last 2 weeks it's been leaking transmission fluid." Richard continued to be rude over phone by saying he didn't believe me. I just recently notice it hesitating on freeway and at stoplight. I explained my daughter barely drives it on freeway and I just drove it on freeway and notice it jumps and won't drive past 60 mph... hesitates and won't reverse car. Car has been recently worked on by them and we are still entitle to our 6 months warranty for transmission rebuilt by them. He says he looked at the fluid and says it's been awhile with problem by color of transmission fluid.
My concern is... did they fix the problem when we first took it in? How does a rebuilt transmission leak within 6 months? He immediately says he is not going to argue with me and will diagnose problem when they get to it on Mon. I told him my concern also was I just wanted him to listen to me on what we encountered on the freeway and how we couldn't get it into reverse. He didn't want to hear my story even when vehicle was dropped off. He seem upset that we had brought the vehicle back. We spent $1800.00 to get transmission rebuild and I told him I was disappointed. He immediately said it should have been $4000.00! He got upset and when I said a rebuilt transmission should not be leaking. He said "The axle will cause it to leak"... I felt like he is avoiding my transmission warranty and won't honor it. Richard hung up on me.
My car is in the shop again because the transmission is leaking. It was rebuilt by Mr. Transmission in August 2013. It was repaired by Mr. Transmission in December 2013 and rebuilt again in January 2014. It was also back three times in January & February because of leaks (it would have been more but I actually had to drive the darn thing a few days). I took it back again in March and even had my mechanic come with me to look at it when they said "it is ready". He showed them where the pan gasket & seal on the rear tail were leaking. They claimed it was residual oil and said to give it a few days. After about 3 days, I got tired of cleaning up ATF and decided to take it to another shop. Guess what... The seal on the rear tail and the pan gasket are leaking. $362.78 to repair. I paid them since obviously Mr. Transmission either can't, or won't, fix it right. For the record, I learned that 4 of the 7 cars in their shop were there for rework.
I was out of state at the time my car broke down and had it towed to your location in Madison, Tennessee. After paying the shocking price to have a new alternator, I was handed my keys with a missing key fob. I looked in my car and found everything that was in the glove box, scattered in my back seat. The response was that my car was left open from the towing company and this was how they found it. I am not sure why they were not alarmed when they seen my look this way. The man I talked to was supposed to call me back to see if the towing company had put my fob in a different place. I asked if there were security cameras, the answer was yes but no further information was given. In addition to the missing fob, I am also missing the owner's manual and an expensive cameras lens. I did not hear back from this business as promised. The lack of concern and compassion was just as disappointing as my material losses. I have since started procedures to recoup my losses.
Michel Tire paid to have a rebuilt transmission for me. Was told by Michel Tire that it will have all new parts. Found out that Mr. Transmission did not replace the electrical parts inside of the transmission. Instead they put my old parts inside. The transmission was put in my van in Oct. 2013. Since they mess up I have not been working because my van is what I need to go to work. I drive long hauls using my van. Been out of work for three weeks so far had to paid Aamco to fixed the problem. Can't prove it but it seems that the manager of Michel Tire and the worker at Mr. Transmission are scamming the Michel Tire company and pocketing money for themselves. Cause Michel Tire paid over 2000.00 dollars for a half of a transmission being built instead of replacing all the parts with new parts.
I took my car to Mr. Transmission on Holland Rd in VA Beach to be repaired. 1st warning signs should have been customer service. The gentle waiting on me smoking in the waiting area. 2nd the manager was very unprofessional by the chosen words used. 3rd thing I should have been aware of the very low entry price of $395 (the lowest price in town). What they do not tell you is that in is only half the cost. That is just to take the transmission out of the car to check it out. Not to reinstall if you do not agree with their price.
In my case I was very mislead. (Could be a small part plus labor to fix.) Then after diagnosis they still gave me a range of $2000 to $3000. Guess which one it would have been? So I decided to purchase a used transmission to have them to install. So the next problems that chose would present would what I needed to properly install used transmission aka "Ronald" the manager. Wanted to put new seals in (good thing right, yes). How much? $200 labor. Seals looked good in old transmission. Ok to conclude.
I am just a little bit up set at this point. Car tore apart, drove in cannot drive away - frame down, axle out. Cannot tow away like this. So I said go ahead and install just like that. Drove away but of course without transmission leak and 2 miles later, transmission light on. Not before $600 cash and a $47 check that we agree upon. It was the weekend so I could not get the cash out of the bank.
Manager call 6pm Sat., told me if I did not pick up my car today it would be $45 a day storage. The manager that sleep in the building meet me a 8am Sunday morning to pick up my car. Not before having my check for $47 rejected by him because he said I upset him because I asked for a military discount. I had to go get the $47 from my son to get my car back. He, **, call me out of my name and other unGodly words. Finally I got my car back after I call for back up (VA Beach Police Department). The 4th sign should have been when he talk with me about the all the cars he have out back for sale. Do Not Deal with these People "Mr. Transmission".
Could not find any negative reviews before I went to this place. Believe me, I did not want to take it to a random place. First warning sign was how long it took to replace transmission. After ready had to turn around again within minutes since it was shifting badly. Claimed they took it for test drive. Month later, fluid was seeping out weep hole - Overfilled fluid. 6 months into this and they had to fix for another week. Last but least - Went out again 1 month after warranty expired and they would not honor. Doesn't that stink. Lesson - A fool and his money will soon depart. Everybody wants every penny you make.
Let me start by WARNING DO NOT** TAKE YOUR CAR TO MR. TRANSMISSION for any type of service... This company does not own up to their word. Like the other reviewers, my husband also dealt with John. He quoted us a price and in our contract, it's listed everything that Mr. Transmission is to perform. Now 3 months and four managers later, John, Lance, Luke and Luis, our car is still at their shop because apparently all the previous managers were ordering the wrong clutch for our Mazda speed 6. These intelligent buffoons were ordering a regular clutch for Mazda 6. I mean "WTF" really. These guys are supposed to be professional mechanics. They have experience as much as a monkey running a circus.
However, the new manager, Luis, takes the cake. He is sent to clean up the mess that all the other incompetent retards have done. He pulls out the same contract that we have with the only difference that it has handwritten numbers saying anew the quote that is handwritten is what was quoted to us from the beginning. "Hmm, Luis, you are not too bright either are you?" These last words are meant for Mr. ** or **. According to Luis, he is the OWNER OF MR. TRANSMISSION who Luis has spoken to several times regarding our car and Mr. ** words to Luis are, "don't bother me about this case anymore."
I have already filed a BBB case against your company. Next, this case will be taken to Akin Fox 26. Apparently Mr. ** is your typical Rich man that gets richer off the poor and honest, hardworking people that with great sacrifice we give him our business. Mr. **, at the end of the day, our business makes you money so for once run your business like a businessman, not like a con artist thief.
Please do not take your car to this place. The owner is presenting himself as a Tim Coates or Tommy Coates, but he is also Alan Polson and you can see his picture here **. Someone that operates under different names is because have some problems. You can read all the reviews under Alan Polson’s name, and go to the Gwinnett Court page and see the 44 court actions against him.
This was a horrible experience and after three months my car still broken. The price of the repairs went from $1500 at the most to $2200.00 and I still need $1200.00 more to get it fix. I went to the police department and they were not surprise at all, they had complaints all the time but it is not much that they can do. They suggest to write reviews to prevent other people from going there. The owner it is very rude and like the last post, he scream to me like he was going to kill me. He was caught on camera when channel 2 investigates unneeded car repairs. He changed his business names all the time. This link is very helpful as well **. Mr. Transmission corporate office it is not going to help. Please think about it twice before going to this place.
My daughter's 2000 Ford Escort has been at Mr. Transmission on Antoine for over 6 weeks now to get the engine replaced. It was there 12 days before they even started on it. The replacement engine had a 30-day warranty from the salvage yard. By the time they finished installing it, the warranty had expired. Then, they told me that the engine was bad. Now, I'm out several hundred dollars for an engine that isn't any good. At this point, I have to file a lawsuit to recover my money and I am having the car towed to another repair shop that can do it right and in a timely manner. Avoid this shop at all costs. You'll save yourself a lot of time and money in the long run.
On October 29, 2012, I dropped off my car to Mr. Transmission, Buford, GA location. After a few hours, I received a call from Sam, the manager, informing me that my vehicle needed seals. He estimated the cost to be approximately $700 including labor. I approved the repair. A few hours later, I received another call from Sam. This time he stated that once the transmission was removed, he realized that my car needed to have the transmission rebuilt. He estimated the cost to be approximately $2,700. I explained that I would have to consider getting rid of the car because I could not afford to invest that amount of money. Sam advised me that overall I had a good car. He suggested I allow him to rebuild the transmission, and in a few months, I could repair the seals. I inquired about how long before I would need to repair the seals. Sam explained that I could go about three months provided I checked the oil every 1,000-2,000 miles. I agreed to move forth with the repairs.
After a few delays, I was informed that my car was ready for pick-up. This was November 9, 2012. I spoke with Linda, the owner, and requested to pick-up the car after hours. Linda agreed to wait for me. Upon arriving, Linda advised me that after a few days, my car would run like new. When I started my car, there was a loud whining noise. I drove around the building and found Linda getting into her car. I stopped her to ask if it was normal to have such noises after having a transmission rebuilt. Linda explained that I should allow ten days for the car to operate as normal. She added that a rebuilt transmission requires the car to be taken apart and put back together, so it might take a little time. It was dark out and I did not feel comfortable for the two of us to be in the parking lot talking. So, I agreed to test the car on the ride home. As I drove away, the noise grew even louder, and the car did not drive smoothly.
The following morning (November 10), I contacted Linda and asked if she had heard the loud noise as I drove away. Linda stated that she had heard it and her guess was that a belt needed to be tightened. Linda said Sam was out of town and was scheduled to return on Monday. She said she would call me on Monday morning after speaking with Sam. Over the weekend, the driving conditions grew worse. The car jerked and was rough. I decided to stop driving the car until it was checked out. I waited until Monday evening (November 12), but I did not hear from Linda or Sam. I called the facility and Sam answered the call. I explained the conversation between Linda and me. Sam was aware of my concerns. He suggested I bring the car in for a check-up.
As I drove to the facility (November 14), the car did not allow me to accelerate beyond 10 mph, and it seemed that it was going to stall. Fortunately, I was only a couple blocks away and I continued to the facility. Sam had been expecting me and eagerly received the car. He said he would check it and give me a call. The following day (November 15), Sam informed me that I needed to have the seals replaced. I reminded him of what he told me initially. I told Sam I would have to consider the next step. On Friday (November 16), I informed Sam that I would have a tow truck pick up the car because I was afraid to drive it. A short time later, Sam called to explain that a master mechanic was scheduled to visit the facility on the following day Saturday (November 17) and he wanted the mechanic to look at my car. I agreed to leave it over the weekend.
On Saturday, I received a call from Linda firmly stating that I needed to pay to have the seals replaced or I needed to pick-up my car. I explained the conversation that had taken place between Sam and me. Linda said I should have waited to have the transmission rebuilt and instead I should have focused on replacing the seals. I explained that I followed Sam's advice because I do not know about cars. She did not apologize for the misinformation and she insisted that I pick up my car. I waited until Monday (November 19) to hear what Sam had learned from the master mechanic. I did not hear back from Sam but Linda called again to state that I needed to pay to have the work completed or I needed to pick up my car. On Tuesday (November 20), I had my car towed to my home. I feel that the owner and manager of Mr. Transmission Buford, GA used my lack of knowledge about cars to maximize the amount of money they could collect from me. They failed to repair my car and I ended up with a broken car and $2,800 in debt.
Took over 20 days to be fixed. Horrible customer service!: I have written to them 2 times and of course, there has been no response, no email, no phone call, nothing! Please do not use this business. They are unprofessional, and they are not at all courteous. It is completely asinine!
I wanted to make you aware of how unhappy we were with the service that was done on my car. The car was in the shop beginning May 29th with Perry telling us it would take approx 5 days. We rented a car for that time, as my husband is active duty for the Army National Guard and we have a 10-month-old child. We needed the transportation. After that 5 days, they let us know it would be the next Monday, then the next Wednesday, then some part they needed was on back order, etc. Then someone had to come in to program it, etc.
It was always something and never was a correct date on when the car would be complete. My card was charged for the full amount on the 4th and 5th and my car was not ready for pickup until the 19th. That is 15 days of interest that I paid when my car was not in my possession which I find completely out of character for any type of service / body shop. Naturally, since there were 2 charges (one for $898 for labor and $2648 for parts and rebuild - I would assume), my car was not done and I was paying interest daily (15 days of interest, which I understand is not much, but we are not made of money and on a very tight budget), I chose to dispute the charge of $2648 on the 14th since we still were not aware of when the car would be completed.
Perry kept telling us Saturday morning, Tuesday afternoon, Thursday afternoon, Saturday morning, and so on. When I drove my car away on June 19th, my alignment was totally off and the wheel was pulling to the right. I was on my way to pick up my child at daycare and since I had a friend drop me off, I called the shop back. They told me to come back and they would take a look at it. I then had to wait another hour for my car in their shop. I was very upset as I had to pick up my child at a specified time and this was something that happened while my car was in their care for 20+ days.
The wheel is currently still pulling to the right, though not as bad, but I am terribly afraid to take it back to them and have it there for another week or more. Our family needs our cars, as I am sure you can understand. I explained that I would be calling Eric **, the owner, everyday until he called me back. I called 3 times last week, with no return call. On the 25th of June, I received a call from Perry and "one" of the owners. He was not at all pleasant as I was very upset that he kept asking me what I wanted him to do, that he couldn't do anything if a part was on back order and they don't make any money off rebuilds, I could not have paid that much interest, etc. I kept explaining to him that I disputed the charge but had called my State Farm credit card company on the 19th before picking my car up to allow them to recharge the money since my car was ready.
As of today, the location has all the monies owed to them. I am just completely disappointed with the service I received, the customer service I received, and the lack of communication of when the car would be completed. I was furious when "one of the owners" had me on the speaker phone with Perry in the room and kept asking me what I wanted him to do. I told him that I was very disappointed that I had to bring my car back to that Mr. Transmission should something happen with the 36K warranty. I asked him if there was a way he could make an exception to have it honored at any other Mr Tranmission in GA and that I had to bring it back due to the alignment.
I told him also to put himself in my shoes - would he want to bring his car back to his own shop after what I had been through? He had no answer other than "Well, the car is done now, and you have it, right?!" Are you kidding me? Do you require them to take any type of customer service orientation? I understand that the mechanics might not have that training as they do not deal with the general public, but owners and the others that work in the office? He then offered free services, which I also do not want.
I am concerned about my car ever being in their shop again. But I told him he could try and offer them to my husband, gave them his phone number and he has yet to hear from them regarding this. Please understand I will do what I can to make sure that no one I know uses this particular shop in Duluth, GA. I am not trying to hurt their business. I need them to understand this is not the way to earn repeat customers nor is it the way to earn customers from anyone that we might come in contact with. I work for a local city government here in the area, and my husband, as I said, is full time active duty National Guardsman. I just find it horrible that the card would be charged 15 days before the work and my car is ready. I would like to know the company policy regarding this, if you don't mind. And I assure you, we will be filing a complaint with the BBB as well as the Office of Consumer Affairs with regards to this particular shop. Thank you very much for your time.
Back in April 2012, I took my 1986 Ford F-150 truck to Milex Mr. Transmission (515 S Pleasantburg Dr. Greenville, South Carolina) for a rear differential noise and leaking rear main seal leak. First, they couldn't even figure out what type of differential or gears were in it. It took them 3 weeks to find out and repair the rear end and replace the rear main seal. In August, I took the truck to a trusted garage for repairs for leaks in rear differential and rear main seal. I was told and saw for myself the parts that were put in the differential. Mr. Transmission had put junkyard gears in the transmission (still had junk yard writing) without putting any shims to take out slack (transmission was full of movement). They even put a used main rear seal in because it broke when removed the second time, only in for 4 months. The owner's son even came by and said they do shady work. That is why he didn't work there anymore. It's pretty bad when family members leave because of the cheating of customers.
This shop should be shut down and their license taken away. The last thing and main reason I am posting this information is because my mechanic told me that if I would have continued to drive my truck in that condition, the rear axle could have locked up driving down the road and my family members and I could have been injured or killed. Mr. Transmission personnel would not have even cared and not taken blame for this. This is for the public. If you value your health and property, do not ever take your vehicle to Mr. Transmission in Greenville, South Carolina for any reason because you will be taken advantage of and cheated out of your hard-earned money. They're 100% thieves!
I paid over $3,000.00 to rebuild my transmission, less than a year ago. 7 months later, I found out that they did not properly replace a wiring harness. I got stuck out of town. Do they want to help? No. It ended up costing me over $1,000.00 due to their workmanship! When calling them on the repair, they also play a shell game telling you they are someone they are not! Keep away! Poor quality workmanship.
Lying, cheating, dishonest - I was told my vehicle needed tran. It would take 2 days. Three weeks later, it's still in the shop after being told several times that the items are to be ready that afternoon, and it is still in the compound just like we left it.
I brought my vehicle in to Mr. Transmission because my gasket was leaking in my car, and my car was making noise on 8/11/2011. I was told that my leak could be from anywhere and they advised me that I needed to leave my car because they did not have the parts to repair. However, when I took my car to Meineke on 12/17/2010 for front brakes on my car, they advised me that my gasket was leaking and gave me a quote. I drove my vehicle less than 700 miles before I took it into Mr. Transmission for repair and they destroyed my vehicle.
They advised that my leak was underneath the car and not from the gasket, and that my right wheel was locking itself. Also, they told me that I had to repair both front end wheels with new calipers, and get my front brakes renewed after I just had new brakes put in less then 700 miles before at Meineke. They took out my flex pipe and they charged me $1008.48 for a bunch of parts that they claimed that they put on my vehicle.
When my car was returned to me they had stripped my vehicle of my parts under my hood and placed old parts. They also did not repair my issue and as a result my car is not driveable, and when I do drive it, I am afraid to go too far in the vehicle. I am in recovery from Breast Cancer, and I usually take my 82 year old mother to her doctor's appointments, and now I can't do that anymore.
I contacted the corporate office and they really did not help me, I also submitted this information to the Better Business Bureau and they advised they have contacted this particular location several times with no response. This location is at 9200 South Stony Island, Chicago, Illinois 60617. I refused to let this go. They knew exactly what they did to my vehicle and how they stole my money. I want my money back to take my car elsewhere for the repairs that they should have done. I want the tire that they stole off my car, and for the brakes that they removed from the back and the parts that they stole under my hood.
They also stole my alloyed wheels and placed some second hand dirty and nasty alloyed wheels on my vehicle. They also had me sign the receipt that I took my parts that they took off my car, but I did not take my parts at all. I was a bit sick that day and should have read what I signed. The father and son team, they are real criminals, as well as the mechanic that worked on my vehicle.
They have destroyed my vehicle. I have all documentation on my repairs to my car and my car was in excellent shape. The only parts that I have ever replaced are the battery and the alternator, and they have taken my new alternator and rearrange parts under my hood. My next step is to sue them. I am also sending paper work to the Attorney's General office as well.
