My car had an oil leak and I had to have it towed by AAA. Triple A told me that they had a recommended auto repair shop (Meineke Car Care Center) that they could tow it to for repairs, and I agreed. Please Note: Meineke Car Care Center is NOT accredited with the Better Business Bureau, and they are a Foreign Limited Liability Company. I brought my car in mid-November 2023 and after a week, the Manager ("Matthew **") informed me that I would have to order the parts ($171) and they gave me the part numbers that I should order. I did and had them shipped to Meineke.

Another three weeks went by, and Matthew informed me that he gave me the incorrect part numbers. I asked him to send them back to BMW and he did, but that process took five weeks. By then, it was now January 2024. I was understanding because of the two major holidays and things move slower then; however, I found out on January 9th, 2024, that my parts had not been shipped back and he finally did so on January 10th, 2024. On January 16th, I found out that BMW would not accept one of the parts they sent back because it had been "used". Matthew claimed it was still new, but BMW insisted it wasn't. I decided to just accept the loss on that part at that point.

They sent me an estimate of $840 and said it required my electronic signature for them to proceed, and I signed it. By then we are well into late February 2024, and Matt called me and said that they could not fix my car and that I would not have to pay anything. The really sad thing is that there were only two hoses visible and accessible on the top side of the engine that had to be replaced. Even though I felt I had wasted 3 months with them, I said okay and asked when I could come and have my car towed to BMW. He said there is no problem leaving your car here as long as you need to.

When I called to inform them that I was coming to have my car towed and asked to speak to Matthew, I was told that he was no longer there and that my car had been towed away. The new Manager, Richard, was extremely rude. I told him everything that transpired and asked him to simply have my car towed back so I could take it to BMW. He refused and treated me badly, but I will leave that alone for a second. I went to the place where the vehicle was towed and told them what was going on. I asked for the key to see if the parts that I paid for were in the car. They (JR) told me they did not have the key, and that if the key was sent with the car, it would be unlocked with the key inside. They were also very nice and respectful and had specific procedures for what they do with a towed car.

I went back to Meineke and spoke to Richard. He held the phone to his ear and mouth the whole time I was there, and he appeared to be afraid. When he was talking, I asked if he was speaking to me or the person on the phone. He said he was talking to me and would not put the phone down after I asked him, and he started being rude. He said that I was trying to argue, and I said no, I am trying to get my key. He said that he gave the key to the tow truck driver, and I told him that I just came from up there and they do not have the key.

Richard again told me that the key was not there and that was it. He then told me to have a nice day. if you ever must deal with this Richard guy, please know that you have been warned! They have now left me with no alternative but to file a lawsuit against them while I simply wanted to get two oil hoses replaced so that I could give the car to my Son.

I was told by other companies that I needed a new catalytic converter. Tyler at the Denver site on E. Iliff Ave said something altogether different. His diagnosis cost $600 instead of $3000. The light has never come back on. Thanks for going the extra steps. I highly recommend this Denver shop.

I had my 2004 Jeep towed to Meineke in mid Jan 2024. I told them of the issues I had been having woth power steering as well as what I observed the initial day that it was towed. They said a diagnostic would cost $100.00. I asked if they used Snap FINANCES as my finances are challenged. They said yes and I was approved for 1,986.00. They told me after having the truck there for a few days that it had a coolant leak but the leak wasn't exiting the truck but was going somewhere. They are the mechanic. Then I received a notice that the engine diagnostic came back as (4Good). The report said the engine diagnostic was good! So I was very hopeful. They also said I needed a power steering pump, flush, brakes, rotors, calipers, and tire rods, and a new radiator. All of this was about $2,600!

I asked them about the yellow fluid under the gas cap, they said, "Oh we didn't check that." NOW I'M NO MECHANIC BUT I THOUGHT THAT WAS Very ODD. They said no yellow fluid was seen on the oil dipstick. It was after that that they said now I needed an engine flush. I was already over $2,000. Plus I had to pay any overages at this point. I told them I'd get the other stuff done - additional flush and tire rods -since the 'Engine' Report Diagnostic was good. If that initial engine report was bad I WOULD NOT HAVE GOTTEN ALL OF THAT WORK DONE. It would not have made sense. Repairs were made I assumed. I picked up the truck on Jan. 19, 2024 and all of the windows fogged up, and the defrost wasn't defogging that same evening!! So I took the truck back the Very next morning saying "Why are all windows fogging up even during the day!" They said -turn the defrost heater all the way up. That was it!

They didn't check anything else! That didn't work! I only drove for 2 days and the very same issues that happened when I first had it towed occurred again! The steering wheel started making sounds when turning, the brakes locked up, the truck loss power, and smoke started billowing from under the hood! I coasted to an area of grass off of a street about 5 miles from home and put it in park. I jumped out, I was so afraid, I called an Uber to take me home!! Then I called Meineke to tell them the Same thing happened to my truck! It was towed back to Meineke. I called the corporate office to complain! I called Snap FINANCES who put in a dispute. They couldn't believe these issues either. I talked to 2 local Mieneke Managers - Now Meineke says I have a Blown Head Gasket and the engine is DONE! and to come and get it. That truck was my only source of transportation!!

Meineke received their $2100.00 and said they aren't refunding me or Snap FINANCE. So SNAP FINANCE AND MYSELF HAVE NOTHING! It's a classic RIP OFF. I ASKED THEM WHAT ABOUT THE INITIAL 'GOOD ENGINE' REPORT? You all should ask them to explain that too. Now they are trying to place the blame elsewhere. Meanwhile I have no transportation! So - To any woman, senior citizen or anyone for that matter. DON'T GO TO MEINEKE! THEY JUST LITERALLY DON'T CARE WHAT THEY TELL YOU AS LONG AS THEY GET PAID. Those Meineke guys and Corporate Guys, CEO too Should be ashamed!

They're completely incompetent for diagnostic and repair work. I had a transmission fluid leak on my F-150 and took it to them. They told me it was a gasket. It leaked again and they said it was the harness. Immediately after this my truck started riding rough, grinding gears and losing power. I puller over on the highway and called and them. They did pay for my truck to be towed. I thought they were showing me due diligence. They said they had their master mechanic look at it.

After looking into my problem over several days, they called and told me it was the transmission that needed to be replaced. I wasn't happy about this but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. They replace the transmission. It drove okay for about a week but I noticed the shifting was a bit rough. Now it's been a couple weeks and it is doing the same thing it was doing prior to them replacing my transmission. I should have taken elsewhere. I hope others have a better experience but as for me, I will no longer being taking my vehicles to this shop or any Meineke for that matter.

Took my car to get tire changed and my check engine light was on. I have a scanner so I had one code on my car. Massive air flow leak. I check internet. So I did a few thing it suggested and cleared the code and it came back on a few weeks later. I did this a couple time so I knew how long it took for light to come back on. So I took it to Meineke. While it was there I called back, asked when was the last time I got an oil change and they said December. So I told them to do an oil change.

They called, said my car was done but something was wrong with one of my tires which I didn’t understand because it was just on my car and it had no leaks but now he said it wouldn’t hold air. So then I ask about the check engine light and he said oh he didn’t remember the codes but take it to the dealership. So I brought the car home but my son said it wasn’t driving right. So I cleared the code and he drove the car and the light came on as soon as he drove it. Now the car had 2 codes instead of one so I looked the second code up, code 2a82 bmw and YouTube said if you got an oil change recently check that first. So I took it to another Meineke and ask them to check the oil, change the previous Meineke did they said they did, nothing was wrong and clear the codes.

I told him the light was going to come back on, "Did you check the oil change?, he said. "Yes as soon as my son start driving the light came on so I took it back to the original Meineke" and show him my receipt. Told him what the other guy said and ask him to check the oil change because no one was checking it, they only check the codes. So he said he checked the oil change and that the code had nothing to do with a oil change but I knew I was right so I took it to a third place and told them to just take the oil cap and filter off, I know some is wrong.

The guy took it off, the oil was dirty, the the wrong Filter Housing Cover Cap was on my car. I took it back to the original Meineke and he said it was his parts. But he had to call all the places I been to check my store. But if you would had did your job I would’ve to take my car to all these places. I haven’t heard back. I’m disputing the charge for both Meineke. Thank god for common sense and the internet. So my car was driven for 12 day with the wrong part. And he said he is the boss and I can’t talk to anyone else. Aaron at Burlington Meineke, bad service.

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction and grave concerns regarding my recent experience at Meineke Car Care Center #2827, which has left me both disappointed and genuinely alarmed about the safety of your services. On August 29th, I visited your center for a routine oil change and tire rotation. While the service itself was not terrible, it took significantly longer than the estimated time provided. However, the real shock came on September 27th when I experienced a dangerous wobble in my vehicle while driving at 45 mph on the highway. Fearing for my safety, I exited and inspected my truck, then opted for side streets to get home.

The following day, I immediately took my truck to Toyota of Dallas for an inspection. To my utter shock and dismay, they informed me that one of my wheels was loose. I personally witnessed this and discussed the issue with their service manager, who confirmed that three lug nuts on the driver's front wheel could be easily loosened with my fingers. Even more concerning, I was informed that a lug nut was entirely missing from my front passenger side wheel.

I requested that Toyota of Dallas retorque the lug nuts, and I decided to address the situation with Meineke, expecting an earnest resolution. The diagnostic report from Toyota of Dallas stated, "Retorque all wheels to spec upon customer request, then found all four wheels not torqued properly to spec." I promptly contacted Robert at Meineke Car Care Center #2827, who assured me that the matter would be escalated to their Operations Manager, Robert **. Despite reaching out to them on multiple occasions, I received no response, no apology, and no indication of any corrective actions taken. This blatant disregard for customer safety and lack of accountability is deeply troubling.

When I reached out to Meineke Corporate for assistance, I was informed that this location operates independently and that there was little they could do to intervene. This response left me even more disillusioned with Meineke as a whole. I am appalled by the fact that a simple phone call to rectify a potentially life-threatening situation was seemingly too much to ask from Meineke Car Care Center #2827. I commute on highways daily, often with my wife and 13-month-old child in the vehicle, and the negligence displayed by this location is simply unacceptable.

I want to emphasize that my primary concern is not just for myself but for the safety of others who may unknowingly visit this establishment. Meineke's lack of action and indifference towards customer safety is inexcusable. I now feel compelled to share my harrowing experience with friends, family, and coworkers, urging them to avoid Meineke Car Care Centers altogether. I sincerely hope that Meineke Corporate takes immediate and decisive action to address the alarming practices at this location and to ensure the safety of all customers.

I have nothing good to say about the job or the way they created me as a customer. I took my car to Meineke to have a timing chain installed on my car. I was told that was the primary reason my car was not running. Also, I must tell you when my car was taken to Meineke the engine was partly torn down. So they installed the timing chain on my car then told me that I needed a new engine. They could have told me before they installed the timing chain which costed me $2804.05. I told them when I took car to them I was counting on their expertise because I am not a mechanic. With that said, they installed to timing chain on a car that they knew needed a motor.

I called and wrote the Meineke company. They said they could not do anything because each store is independently owned. This is a company that steals money out of the pockets of good honest hard-working people. I know I got a raw deal from the local Meineke store I went at 1321 Diamond Spring Road Va Beach, Va. Please avoid that store and all their stores because if something goes wrong like it did for me, the Meineke company will just back their local store and you will be at a loss. I lost $2804.05 because of Meineke shady practices.

Meineke auto repair shop located in 23109 Aldine Westfield Rd, Spring TX77373 has worked on my 2016 Chrysler 200 on Mar/06/2023 for removed and replaced an Oil Pressure Sensor, the cost for that job was $ 174.16, but after the worked done, I only used my car for one day and the check engine light came back (because of that sensor problem from the beginning). So, I had my car tow back to their shop, since I did not want to cause damage to my car engine (tow receipt was $218). This time they kept my car for a week and could not fix the issue and the check engine light was ON, still. So I had my car tow again to AutoNation Chrysler dealership to work on the check engine light, they run diagnostic test and concluded that was Oil Pressure Sensor defectives, so they replaced it. My car is running great now. Based on my experience with that Meineke shop, I do not want to go there again, Period.

    Reviewed April 5, 2023

I am writing because the earlier request for you to give me a call has been ignored since 3/1/2023 to the present. The reason for my note is that my husband brought my 2016 Chevy Impala to your location to have the exhaust check and the catalytic converters replaced on 2/23, we were previously told by another mechanic that this is the service that would be needed since he completed the major tune-up the month prior. We brought it to your location because it is stated on the website that you service/replace catalytic converters. Mr. ** waited for the diagnostics test to be completed, your service advisors informed him that the catalytic converters were in perfect condition and that the only service the vehicle needed was a major tune-up. The service advisor told Mr. ** that the parts on the vehicle were the original parts, and no tune-up was performed.

Based on your advisor’s recommendation, we agreed to have the major tune-up completed and include an oil change and paid $1172. We received a text 2 weeks later stating that the vehicle was ready for pickup. We picked up the vehicle on Thursday and the check engine light came on; we parked it until Sunday when my husband drove it to the corner store and on the way back home the car stalled and never started again. On 2/27, we called back to your location and informed them of the problem, and they sent a tow truck to pick up the vehicle for further examination. The vehicle remained at your location for another week. Mr. ** told the service advisors that he works overnight and to contact his wife, Reshonda **, during the day since he is a day sleeper. No calls were received.

During this time, we had to rent a vehicle for 2 weeks while the vehicle was being serviced because we are a two-car household and Mr. ** needed transportation to and work from. Due to the nature of his work, he only gets paid for hours worked and Mr. ** has already missed 3 days of work. I called and spoke with Jose, who was quite rude and very unprofessional when speaking to me. He kept talking over me, stating that they had been calling and texting me to receive approval for the new recommended services to have the catalytic converters that needed to be replaced and the new total would be $2890. As I was trying to explain to Jose that we have not received any calls or texts on either phone. He begins to raise his voice. I could hear on the phone that we were on speaker phone and that the service employees in the background speaking of the car as he was telling me he was looking through the notes.

I repeated myself again stating that we have been speaking with Meineke Corporate customer service and awaiting a call from the owner to discuss this situation. After multiple calls to the Meineke Corporate customer service line, no return call from the owner was received. He then proceeds to give the phone to Junior, and I again attempted to explain the situation when he rudely and loudly interrupts me stating that I was telling a lie about the service initially requested and that I have not been calling and speaking with anyone there. I stated that I have clear notes of whom I spoke to when I called and what was discussed in addition to the repair notes provided during the first service. When I could clearly look at the paperwork and CARFAX where it shows the service received on 2/27.

Then Lawrence takes over the phone call and begins to very aggressively talk to me yelling at me that he has never spoken to me and I politely say, "You are correct, I have never spoken to you, I have only spoken to Jose 3 times." By this time, the level of unprofessionalism was more than what I could handle mentally so I woke my husband up to take over the call. Lawrence then begins the conversation with “no disrespect to your wife but...” Lawrence continues the conversation with my husband, Andre **, as I am listening via speakerphone. My husband explains the situation to Lawrence who responds that he will personally look at the vehicle on Monday when he returns because he had a family emergency on would be out for a few days, and he would call once he has looked at it.

That Monday, no call was received so my husband called on Tuesday and was informed that the vehicle was ready. We arrived at the location the next morning at 8 am, when my husband got off work and upon arrival was informed that the vehicle in fact was not ready and that upon final inspection there was a tear in one of the catalytic converters and that the vehicle would be ready by noon. The next morning no call was received so my husband called and was told that the part needed to be ordered and they would call when it was ready.

We finally got the call that the vehicle was ready, and my husband and the service advisor test-drove it through the parking lot, with no issues. Upon the ride home (13 minutes and 7 miles) on 3.24, the vehicle started to beep very loudly and the lights on the dash start to flicker “Oil pressure low stop engine and service tire system” (video and pictures were taken) and the vehicle sounds like a diesel truck, none of these sounds and lights were on when the vehicle was dropped off initially or the 2nd drop-off. We brought the vehicle back on 3.25 and were told that it would be ready in a few hours. As of 3.27, we have not received any calls or updates on the status of the vehicle.

3.29- I called and spoke with Junior at 11:20 am and he stated that they tested the oil pressure sensor, and it tested fine, but the oil pump is not pumping. He stated he will call me back once he reviews the notes further and that it was a line of customers in the lobby. 3.29- I called several times between 2 pm and 6 pm and left a voicemail. No callback was received. 3.30- Called and spoke with Junior at 12:17 pm, he stated he did receive the messages I had left the previous day, but no explanation on why a return call was not made. Junior stated that the exhaust and spark plugs were all okay. The oil pump and pressure were all okay. They performed another oil change (unauthorized) but the vehicle was still dropping oil pressure.

Junior stated that more testing needed to be done by the mechanic and the mechanic was the only one that could complete the work, however, he was the only worker there as he had 2 call-ins that day. Tomorrow he should be fully staffed so the mechanic will complete then. I asked how long the repairs would take to complete; he stated it would be 1 hour. I asked where on the list of repairs my vehicle was, and he stated first on the list and to call back around 11:30 am.

3.31- I called on 3/31 and spoke with Jose. Jose stated that they completed another oil change, which was unauthorized and could not state why so many oil changes had been performed. They completed a short test drive, and no noise was heard. Jose said that the short test drive is only a couple of miles to 1960 and Aldine Westfield and back to the service center. Jose stated that another longer test drive would be completed (Service center to Imperial Valley and 1960 and back) and that should happen today the mechanic will call when he returns from the test drive.

4.3- I called at 10:12 am and spoke with Jose and he stated that Eric, the mechanic, did not have time to call me back Saturday and that he was off today, Monday, and only works Tuesday through Saturday. From the mechanic’s notes, the motor needs to be repaired and it would be the same amount of labor as previously. I asked to speak with the mechanic and Jose stated that he was busy doing another customer’s oil change and that I should come into the service center to speak with him in person. As of today, your service center has been repairing our vehicle for over 30 days with no actual resolution, only faulty diagnoses, unnecessary repairs, inadequate work performed, missed time off work, a 2-week rental, and a lot of frustration, dissatisfaction and not repairing my vehicle in a timely manner.

I brought my car to the Meineke located at 1851 Goodman Rd in Horn Lake MS on 3/2/2023 because my car wasn't getting any heat and it was making a weird sound when I stopped to break. I assumed it was a rotor on the left side or maybe the front brakes since I could still come to a complete stop but I was still concerned about the sound. In addition to the sound my coolant kept leaking out which was a major concern for me as well. I assumed it needed to be assessed by “the professionals” “clown emoji”.

After sitting in the waiting area for over two hours I was told to come to the garage. I was informed that two bolts from the transmission needed to be mounted to keep the transmission in place. No worries, I thought, assuming that they were still looking out for my best interest as a customer. They also told me that they figured out why I wasn't able to keep coolant due to a clip not being placed where it originally should have been. Still assuming that they were doing me a favor. I said, "Fix it, no worries." I went to sit back in the lobby area and proceeded to watch movies on my phone to pass the time.

About an hour later, Another guy comes and tells me that he has bad news. Now I'm told that I now need to Remove and Replace CV Axle Assembly for 479.99, Remove and Replace the Catalytic Converter for 1,655.18, Flush Coolant System for 183.98, Synthetic Blend Oil Change for 89.42, Remove and Replace all Brake Pads for 1,250.39 totaling 3,712.45. I'm shocked and panicked because I didn't have 3,713.45. I need a car to get to work, and to get my kids to school. They presented me with an option to apply for KarCare reassuring me that I could get approved for the majority of the financing. I applied and was approved for the majority of financing with roughly 800.00 out of pocket costs. Assuming that they were still doing me a favor I sat for several more hours until they were done at about 6:30pm.

My car was ready to drive and the heat was working! However the front desk machine who also approved me for Karcare informed me that I still needed a Radiator Hose. It was a Friday. They told me that they didn't have the part and to come back on the following day at 12 noon. I came back at approximately 12:00 noon with my 4 year old in a cold car because the heat was no longer working. I got there and they told me that the wrong part was sent and they were about to call me, so I asked what I was supposed to do about the car overheating in the meantime. I was instructed to get some green coolant and shown where to put it until the part came.

As instructed I got the green coolant. Meineke was closed on Sunday. Monday they didn't call and Monday was also the day that my car completely stopped working. I was stranded with my kids in the car in the middle of a construction zone during morning rush hour traffic. I got a tow back to the house. The following morning I called Meineke because they still hadn't called me about the Radiator House and this was day 4. At that point I was livid because at that moment I realized I had gotten played for a fool.

Cars rarely need a catalytic Converter replacement unless the converter is stolen, misfiring, bad odor from the exhaust or sluggish engine performance. And all brake pads rarely need to be replaced at the same time. In addition to charging me for services that could have been postponed, they even tried to sell me an oil change (which should have been a red flag) without checking the oil because I had just had an oil change at Jiffy Lube the previous day. And it's been several days now and they still haven't called me about the radiator hose. A business that is concerned about their customers would never do this but they already got me for over 3,000 grand so the joke's on me, right?

I called on March 7th 2023 to inform them about my vehicle and they told me to go on the website to schedule a tow and the first 5 miles would be free. My gut instinct told me not to bring anything back to them because they seem like the type to do even more damage so I followed my gut instinct and got it towed to the one on Union in Memphis TN which is where I originally wanted to go. It seems that they push Karcare on a lot of victims. Also, I am sure that they installed aftermarket parts and still charged me the full price. I will definitely get a second opinion and add this to the lawsuit as well. I am by no means a carologist. Meineke picked the right one to play with on the wrong day. Never take my distressed moments as a sign of weakness because It will only cost you more in the long run!

That should def be something that should be told to us. Not to mention he said it needed front brakes and rotors. I got the stuff to do it myself and did it myself but... Once everything was apart I noticed it didn't need me brakes AT ALL!

Dishonest and Greedy. Last week, my check engine light came on. The car was running okay but there was a slight random vibration, and a slight rev when the car was in park. I took my car to this Meineke shop thinking they might be the most competent and professional. Meineke quoted me $1874 to replace parts which they said would fix the issue. I happily agreed because I just needed my car fixed.

When they were done I drove about 4 miles, the check engine light came back on and the same exact problem resumed. I took the car back to Meineke. They said they would look more deeply into the issue. After about 45 minutes they found the real issue, fixed it without needing any more parts and the problem was solved. So, Meineke charged me $1874 for parts and work that didn't fix the problem, replaced parts that were not outdated, because they were wrong about what was needed. I told the manager flat out that I knew they had charged me to replace parts that didn't need replacement. He gave me a ** story about why they were, aka they had no intention of making this right by refunding any part of the $1874.

I contacted Meineke's so-called customer care center to complain and was told that Meineke shops are independently owned so corporate doesn't handle disputes. In addition, their parts are way overpriced. Mass Air Flow Sensor: $267.64. ABS Wheel Speed Sensor: $313.45. Direct Ignition Coils: $196.47 each. And of course, they'd insisted that I needed to have all four Direct Ignition Coils Replaced. Of course. Taking my car to Meineke is now on my list of the worst mistakes I've ever made. If you take your car there then please, please do yourself a huge favor by at least getting a second opinion from another business. Customers Beware!

I have never had such a terrible and deceitful experience as I have had with Meineke. Took my son's car to them because the AC wasn't working. They replaced the compressor for $1300 and explained there is a 12-month warranty on the part. Within 5 minutes of leaving the shop, it quit working again so I took it right back.

They had it for another day and a half and then tell me the condenser and expansion valve are bad and that the warranty for the compressor is void if those aren't replaced, for another $900.

Never mentioned to me that was a possibility. I picked up the car and took it to the dealership for a 2nd opinion because I felt scammed. The condenser and expansion valve are fine but the brand new compressor they put in, failed and Meineke won't honor their warranty because I didn't have those 2 parts replaced that were never mentioned as being bad during the diagnostics. I would not recommend those thieving liars to anyone.

I took my vehicle (2004 Lincoln Town Car) to Meineke on 1745 N. Olden Ave in Trenton on 4/20 for an oil change at 10:30 am. They performed the oil change and returned the vehicle with no recommendations for any additional service. The next day I took the car for an inspection and was informed that there was a temp plug in my oil tank. This was a surprise to me. So, I immediately went back to Meineke. If the temp plug was in the vehicle when I bought it in for service, the mechanic would have noticed it as soon as he had the car suspended. He would have informed me that there was a temp plug and that I would need a new oil tank, before doing any work on the car. This did not happen.

It appears that the mechanic stripped the screw and plugged the oil tank without my knowledge when performing the oil change. I spoke with the Manager, and he advised that there was nothing in the report, so there may have been a miscommunication. This just proves my theory, that the mechanic made an error and tried to cover it up by plugging it and not reporting it. Which is why it wasn’t in the report. Had things been handled properly on either scenario there should have been a conversation.

Scenario 1: The mechanic noticed a plug in the tank. The mechanic advises the customer of the plug and recommends a new oil tank prior to performing the oil change. If the customer declines; at least they are aware that the temp plug will be placed back in the tank and the tank would need to be replaced down the road. This would be in the report.

Scenario 2: The mechanic stripped the screw while performing the oil change. He inserts a temp plug and advises the customer. The mechanic should then add that to his report, so the Manager would be aware of the mistake, and they should decide to replace the customers oil pan at no charge to him. Neither one of these scenarios happened. They expect me to believe that the temp plug was on the vehicle when I bought it to them, and the mechanic just performed the oil change without mentioning the plug or including the observation of said plug in the report. The manager offered to give me a discount the next time I come in for service. This is unacceptable. I would never go back to this Meineke for any type of service and would not recommend that anyone else gets their vehicle serviced there. The only acceptable resolution is for them to own their mistake and replace my oil pan.

None of my gauges were working in the instrument cluster. I asked about the wiring harness, was told that all was inspected under the hood and that the instrument cluster itself needed to be pulled. I declined. Told me it had to be the cluster because the truck started after fixing the bad wire for the map sensor. I took it to the dealership and behold, it was damage to the engine wiring harness. The dealer fixed it and my cluster was working.

Meineke originally told me wiring harness then tried to gouge me into the cluster pull. I paid 422+ dollars for the pigtail into the map sensor. The dealer stated that the wire damage was on the firewall running to transmission. How was this missed during the labor I was charged at Meineke? That's just it, it wasn't. Instead of fixing the damage that Meineke said they spotted, they attempted to create more labor by telling me they needed to pull the cluster, Talking to the Meineke's area manager, Mike ** and Barry ** (Service Guy), it is like aerial acrobats and deflection. Mike finally uttered, "Well my guys aren't perfect." When I asked why didn't they replace the damage that was obviously seen during their diagnostics? Mike was dismissive saying there were too many issues but never explained why Meineke failed to replace the damage they first made me aware.

Meineke saw an opportunity to take advantage of me. I was charged several hours for labor Meineke did not perform. Mike also wanted to let me know that he pays his guys more than what the dealer pays. So my price is fair. Tried to call customer service, no answer. It didn’t look like the ignition coils have been replaced as they look old and dirty/rusty. Drove home (couple blocks away) opened up the hood, removed the engine block cover for a better look and found out that nothing has been replaced. I called Meineke (believe it was ** who answered the phone). Told me to bring the car back in for them to take a look. Came out to open the hood to check it again. Nothing changed! How terrible! I got home (now that I completely distrust their work ethics) decided to remove one of the spark plugs to see if they got replaced as claimed by Meineke (and clearly showed in the bill). While I was on the interstate to get back home in Stephens City from Meineke in Winchester, the whole hood of my car flies up, smashes my windshield, and my line of vision of the road goes black. I honestly can't tell you my exact feelings at the time. The best I can describe my feeling is shock. It felt like looking death right in the face. Again, I was in the fast lane with a 18 wheeler on my right and a big pickup truck riding my tail. I immediately thought to get off on the left but there was nowhere to go. I had to think fast.

I put my hazard lights on in hopes that the surrounding cars could catch a hint or just hopefully see my cry for help. I ended up just BARELY seeing a sliver of something where I could see the 18 wheeler. I just barely cut it off with no reliable vision and I make it in the right lane as well as make it to the Exxon right off the ramp. All while this is happening, my mom was two cars behind that 18 wheeler, watching her daughter swerving, assuming it was a popped tire but to her surprise, when she pulls up next to me, she sees my whole hood bent back and covering my windshield. She was pretty hysterical, me? Still in shock.

THEY DID NOT CLOSE MY HOOD BACK AFTER THEY UNLATCHED IT! My mom called the owner of the shop hysterical and in shock in response to the events that have just unfolded. Oz immediately denied that they did anything under the hood and that they didn't even go under it. The owner also said he'd check the cameras and blah blah. For someone who claims to not be responsible, he came to the gas station my car is at and told my mom that he'd take care of everything.

The men he brought with him even tested my hood to verify that it wasn't just randomly popping up. Two grown men tried to pull my hood up to see if it truly was just the latch, it was not. My mom had confidence he would do the right thing once he told us he'd take care of everything (he drove my car back to the shop) until Monday comes around and he tells us personally he would not put his child back in the car but it is looking at ONLY *600* dollars worth of damage... All while this happens he's still refusing to take accountability for the situation I had to endure as a result of HIS SHOP'S CARELESSNESS.

My car was a authentic Subaru. The people I purchased this from brung it to Subaru dealerships and all the parts are from Subaru as well. I honestly don't see myself comfortably riding in it no more without constant flashbacks of my car hood flipping up. The thought itself is crippling. Even being in the car now with someone else driving, I feel like I can barely breathe sometimes, especially on the highway. I sometimes can't help but push on the hood of my mom's car before I get in for extra security.

The owner/manager of the shop Oz, hung up in my mom's face when she requested his insurance information so we could file a claim after he chose not to take proper accountability and quite frankly, we no longer trust the services of this shop. It would be no surprise to find something else deeply wrong with the car once we did get it back from the possession of Meineke on Pleasant Valley Ave in Winchester. We called corporate TWICE with no callback and when I called the second time I discovered corporate contacted the owner first where the owner again LIED on the record saying they didn't have any reason to check under my hood. But still they haven't contacted us. Please put yourself in my shoes or even my mother's. I pray nobody is put in this same situation as I am.

Third mistake, we got a new manifold rather than wait a couple days for him to get it in. (He failed to tell us there would be no warranty until later, then changed to include warranty.) In the end it took over two weeks to get our vehicle back. Fourth mistake, the price kept going up and the van has not been worked on. We're up to $1,100. And still don't have the van. I took my '05 Lesabre for an oil change. I had a coupon from the internet that offered a $17.95 oil change for up to 5 quarts of 5w30 oil and filter replacement. The car is rated to hold 4 1/2 quarts of oil. The desk man, Jesus, told me that store honors that coupon for only 3 1/2 quarts of oil. I offered to buy another quart to fill it up. He offered me instead a $34.95 oil change with a 30% discount which I believe should bring the price to $24.45. The bill was for an oil change at $.10, 4 quarts of oil at $4.00, oil change labor at $10.00, and an oil filter at $7.95.

The discount turned out to be $11.42, so the job cost $26.63 plus $1.67 sales tax equals $28.30. I reluctantly agreed to the price, figuring that the extra quart of oil would cost me almost $9.00. I paid the bill and drove straight home, about 4 miles. Next morning I checked the oil level, it was one quart low. Now I am even more upset because I apparently paid $28.30 for an oil change that should have cost $17.95 plus tax, and the car got sent out one quart low on oil! I believe the store should honor the coupon as published. The run-around to the higher-priced service upset me, then finding that the car was one quart low after all upset me more. I am sure I am not the first person victimized this way. I am not able to scan the receipt and send it with this review.

Why wasn't I told that the coupon wasn't good for my car when I made the reservation and gave them the exact same information? So I wasted a week waiting for the reservation and now I have to look around and make a new reservation at another shop...

A few days later I was called in to have the parts fitted. A good job done. Cost was reasonable. Next visit was for air conditioning not working. Appointment made for a check problem identified. Cost of repair explained and compared with my own knowledge. Again price reasonable. My last visit was a noisy exhaust. Expecting to be told the whole unit needed replacing was surprised when I was told a broken bracket need replacing, One hour later I was driving home once more with my vehicle running quietly again. Was given a telephone quote on a flat-rate service for the swap out of summer rubber for winter wheels (all mounted/balanced). Upon completion I was billed the amount quoted, plus an additional charge referred to on the receipt called "shop supplies". I neglected to notice this small extra charge immediately, but did take notice of it once home. I called the shop later that same day for an explanation of this charge not referred to in my quote, and was told it was to pay for shop electricity, and gloves, and that this charge was directed from "head office". In calling Meineke's main number I'm told that the shop I'd attended was a franchisee location, and Meineke disagrees with the franchisee, and does not impose such charges, as I was later told in telephone conversation with a staffer at head office.

Remember that I'd requested a quote for a flat-rate service, a common seasonal service at that, and not a request for any sort of estimate, something which commonly allows for an adjustment of up to 10% upwards, so I'd expect my quote to stand, with taxes tacked on of course. I'm feel I'm justifiably ticked that this extra charge was not told me at any time, not in my phone quote and no time while I was waiting for the completion of service, that I only felt suspect to this "gouge", once my change was dealt back to me.

I've been using this service location regularly for a few years for my oil changes, but am currently seeking out a garage to fulfill all of my service needs, but this situation has left a bitter taste. It's hard enough to find a garage where one can trust the staff, and we all know the automobile service industry hasn't the best reputation for fairness to begin with. Well that's my story, and I would recommend readers do their due diligence in shop selection, but I can say that I won't be back.

After they installed the wheels when the job was complete, I asked why they did not turn the rotors.. He stated that they couldn't, that then changed two minutes later to "I'm sorry. You're right. Come back later this week and we will do it, just no hard braking." I understand you can install pads over old rotors and they will bed. When you resurface rotors and install used brake pads it can have an adverse effect. He stated many times that he was working extra hard to earn my business and trust. Well that just went out the door.

The fact that he flat out didn't say anything about not turning the rotors and was just going to let me leave shows his ethics and integrity. How many others have you messed over? This job was after I spent 700.00 the previous week. I would not trust this facility, I don't trust him to work on my vehicle and I will also be filing a complaint with Washington State Attorney General since no one from Meineke cares enough to call back.

Meineke 3766 Robert C Byrd Drive Beckley, WV 25801. I have only just begun using this garage and my experiences there have already convinced me that quality car care definitely takes a back seat to profit. I went in because my car was hesitating. The mechanic that looked at my car told me I needed to have my head gasket replaced because it was leaking fluid. They kept my car for a week and tried to get me to replace the front end cradle bushings, the rear sway bar linkages, and said they found melted wires going to the fuel injectors and had to replace them. They are also trying to talk me into allowing them to flush the radiator in a 23-year-old car and swear that it will not damage the transmission.

The final bill was over $1500. I did not have the car back even half a day when the Check Engine light came on. When I looked under the hood, I found fluid on top of my valve covers, a worm clamp that had fallen down between my air conditioner radiator and the regular one and even the paper instructions for tightening the bolts on the head gasket stuffed in the engine. They had broken the handle off my oil dipstick and made no effort to replace it.

When I took it back for these things and the Check Engine light, they told me the head gasket had not been properly tightened down and was now cracked, but instead of replacing it, they put some kind of silicone goop on it instead. They replaced the dipstick with one that didn't fit and cut it down and cut notches on it so I could use it instead. They twice told me the car was ready, and twice the Check Engine light came back on, once before I left the parking lot and the second time within a half an hour, before I had even had time to go home.

I took the car in at 8 o'clock yesterday morning to find out why the Check Engine light was still on. They said the O2 sensors on the left side needed to be replaced. But they also told me that my power steering pump was leaking. It wasn't when I took it in. I asked them if they had checked to see if the leak was coming from above. The mechanic then slid back a hose cover and turned the wheel and power steering fluid shot out from two different places. If my car had been leaking at that rate, the power steering reservoir would have been empty weeks ago. I had just had all the fluids topped off. They said they would order the hose and I decided to wait because I was not sure how safe the car would be to drive with the leak. They kept me there from 8 in the morning until 3 in the afternoon before they told me the parts place had sent the wrong hose and they would overnight it and it would be there at 7:30 this morning.

They are talking about charging me over $400 to replace the two O2 sensors and the hose, and they have been working on my car for over three weeks. Instead of improving the car's performance, it now vibrates and idles rough which it never did before. To be blunt. their mechanics are trained at finding things to fix, but have absolutely NO skill in actually making repairs. I sat there yesterday listening as people came in for things like an oil change or a safety inspection, and they tried to get them to have new ball joints, tires, control arms, and God knows what else done. They work on the quota system, and they have absolutely no qualms about charging over $80 an hour for labor for guys who shouldn't even be allowed to work at a Jiffy Lube. Do not EVER allow them to do work if you can get it done by your regular mechanic.

I was told it's a closed system, and the only thing that could have happened would have been a leak. They told me they would take it back and diagnose it for me. I also had an oil change and wheel alignment done.

They came back and informed me that my front rotors were badly warped and needed to be replaced immediately and that my pulsation and shaking of the steering wheel was originating from it. I gave them the go ahead to go on and replace my front pads and rotors. They informed me that my back rotors were okay and still had life in them. I ended up going back to them two weeks later and informed them that the pulsation and shaking was back. They drove it and looked at it and said the rotors were warped again and that they must have been sent some defective parts. So, they went ahead and replaced them free of charge.

Well approximately a couple of weeks later in March of 2019 I went back to them with the same issue. The pulsation and shaking of my steering wheel had come back again. Well this is where the owner (lady) begin to get rude and wants to point out that it must be my driving causing it and that the calipers must be bad. She informed me that I needed to call corporate and still proceeded to change them out again even though I didn't want that. She also told me that if I brought it back that she would not change them again unless I showed her proof that I had gotten my front calipers done.

Well I took my vehicle to Precision Tune Auto Care for a diagnostic test of my front rotors and calipers. The total will be $1385.89 to repair.” $1,400 for a muffler? Why so expensive? ** said, “My ‘parts guy’ says, it’s an older Volvo (2002) and turbo.” My ** meter immediately went off. “I DON’T HAVE A TURBO Volvo, **.” As he stammered to come up with a reasonable response, I found my OEM muffler online for $159. I told him this.

** pretended to be surprised, “Really? Send me the link. I’ll look into it and call you back. Or, you can order it and have it sent here and we’ll install it.” I said, “Sure. Meanwhile, I’ll come get the car. But, is it safe to drive without the muffler?” I asked. “Well, I can’t say for certain because the tailpipe is near the gas tank, which could be dangerous.” It sounded like he was inferring that it might blow up or something. That’s a bunch of crap. They are on opposite sides of the chassis and do you know how hot my car would have to run for me to be in danger?

RESOLUTION: I got my car and muffler and took it around the corner to AFFORDABLE MUFFLER, a highly-reputable owner-run Muffler-Exhaust garage on Haywood Avenue. George, the owner and mechanic, soldered my old muffler back in place within 30 minutes while I waited, for $53. MEINEKE never looked into or offered to reattach my old muffler. Instead, MAFIA MUFFLER tried to over-charge me $1332.89. My advice is never use them.

Also, when I originally called Meineke they told me to use their free Meineke Membership, which would give me 5 free tows per year to them. That, in itself, makes you wonder how good their work is if you may need to be towed to them 5 times within a year. Nevertheless, I signed up for the service. However, no one ever arrived to tow me. I'll do it myself to make sure it's done right. Order gaskets from eBay today. I hate getting suckered.

Never go to the Meineke in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. I went for a simple oil change and after they told me my vehicle was ready I tried to open the door and the latch comes off in my hand and superglue is all over my hand. They broke the exterior handle on my driver's side door and the manager without any apology precedes to tell me, as if I'm stupid, that the latch was previously superglued on. They refused to do anything about it so I filed a complaint with the district manager. I have not received a call back yet. If there's no call back by this week I might just have to go to my local news station.

This shop was an absolute nightmare to deal with. In my experience, their staff and owner acted completely unprofessional, quoted me price estimates and projected completion times, only for them to take two and half weeks beyond the time they initially told me things would be finished. On top of everything, when they finally returned my car, it had denting and scratches. The owner attempted to pass the buck, only to then try to say that I could leave it longer and they would take care of it. After the entire ordeal, there was no way I was trusting my car to their shop anymore - I then had to go through insurance to have the bodywork handled.

Above this, the owner refused to acknowledge my coupon, which is the entire reason I brought my car here to begin with. I let him read the fine print, and when he couldn't find a reason to not accept it, he just flat out said no. Meineke corporate said that shops are independent. Poor representation of the Meineke brand and a poor experience with thinking the brand would look after its customers. A completely awful experience from start to finish, my opinion was that the owner is completely unprofessional. Would never trust my car with them for any work in the future under any circumstances.

They did not do a proper job AT ALL, and only wanted the money out of the service and not to really fix my car issue. Clay was rude and did not care that he cheated me out of my money and a service that I really didn't need. They changed prices and told me it would be one price, then turned around and said another.

MEINEKE REVIEW - This company Located on Pimlico Parkway in Lexington Kentucky is an incompetent business and the manager or owner who’s name is Charlie ** in my opinion is a con artist. I took my vintage pickup truck to Meineke on Pimlico Parkway last month to have dual exhaust installed and a couple oil leaks repaired at a cost of approximately $850.00. When I picked the truck 3 days later, they had installed the exhaust, but the tail pile was crooked. The oil leaks were not repaired. I took the truck back 4 more times during the next 3 weeks, but the leaks were still not repaired. I was told by Charlie that there were other leaks and he charged me an additional $450.00.

I was then told the truck was finished and picked it up, only to find the next day after sitting all night in my garage that the leaks that I paid to be repaired had gotten worse. I took the truck back and every day I was given a different excuse by Charlie why my truck was not ready. Excuses such as: the parts has to order the part, or the parts truck broke down or the sent the wrong part or I don’t have the correct tool to install the part, etc.

After Meineke had the truck for 8 days, I was told the truck was finally finished. I picked the truck up and Charlie then told me that the leak was not completely taken care of and he had ordered yet another part to fix it. I decided to not take it back for any further work, but rather asked Charlie for a partial refund so that I could find a reputable repair shop to do the work. Of Course he refused to give a refund. I then contacted Meineke Customer service and they are a joke as well. I was told that they had spoken to Charlie and he would finish the work properly. This fly by night company should not be in business and I will never do business with any of Meineke’s shops again. Consumer Beware.

My brakes went out, so I went to Meineke to have them perform the Free brake inspection. If you look at their advertisement for it, it clearly states they inspect the brake hoses, calipers, rotors and master ignition for free. I went into store 2275 in South Elgin where I dealt with Dennis D’Onofrio the owner. He told me that the inspection would have to go to the lift for diagnosis which costs $50. Because the free inspection he just looks at the car. You CANNOT inspect brake hoses and line unless you are underneath the car. As my car is on the lift this incompetent clown tells me my differential is leaking. Which it wasn’t. It was clearly the busted brake hose dripping onto it. He tried to add it on my bill for $190 but I declined service because it didn’t need work! Apparently the mechanics thought I was doing that service and they tried to remove a bolt and ended up breaking one inside the housing.

I didn’t notice this until the next day because I never agreed to service on the differential. As I went to pay I asked him again how he inspects brakes with your it being on a lift. This joker told me he inspects brakes like that all the time. I told him the free inspection was false advertisement. He turns to his mechanics and says “This guy thinks you should work for free, so I won’t pay you guys tonight, you can go home with no paycheck” then calls me a “** cheap guy” as he walks away. Furious, I called customer service and built a case. The person handling my case was just as incompetent as the owner. I mentioned the damage they did and he told me if I wanted to dispute charges to take it up with the owner! They sent me back to the unprofessional thief to see if he will pay for damages.

As I confronted him I video recorded the incident and he tried to take my phone away from me then aggressively bumped me and put his fist in a punching manner. This OWNER was going to assault me for calling him out on the damage done to my car! Nonetheless I called the police and filed a report. The same incompetent case handler then told me that the owner told him, that they will not be resolving the damages done to my car and agreed with him that the diagnostics they ran on my brake line was valid to be charged. It was literally and inspection to see that a hose was dripping while on the lift. After I explained that this owner tried to assault me I asked how they can allow this person to represent their company like that? He basically told me corporate won’t do anything since the owner (that tried to assault me) had final say.

This man is a fraud trying to charge people for services they don’t need and lied about damage to my car and corporate sat behind him. This is unacceptable and absolutely appalling. I will NEVER take my car to another Meineke and make sure that my network of people do the same. This company stood behind a man who charged me for something that was advertised as free, damaged my car and denied it and resolution for the damages and allow him to continue running the franchise after he attempted to assault me for confronting him about the damage he did to my car. This company basically condoned the theft and the violence. This is an outrage.

I went to the MEINEKE IN PEACHTREE CITY, GEORGIA on two different days. I had made an appointment online and picked the 11:30 a.m. slot & in the notes, I had stated that I needed my alternator changed. I had been seen on Aug 18th with an appointment for my air conditioner needed Freon and I informed her that my engine light had came on. The store shop owner name PAM said she would have the mechanic check it, and informed me that it was my transmission. When I got my vehicle back I went home, then I had to go to the store, and while driving my battery light comes on and touching on the 9 which is very low. I take it to another shop and they put it on the diagnostic machine and tells me that my alternator is bad and that was the reason for my engine light being on and that there wasn't anything wrong with my transmission.

I arrived to Meineke on time and when I stated to the Shop Mgr PAM that I had an 11:30 a.m. appointment and the reason for my appointment, she stated to me that she wasn't for sure if she could do it because the system generated 30 mins for an alternator change and it normally would take 1hr. I then stated to her that I have an appointment and I stated in the notes alternator change so It's not my fault that the system generated 30 mins. She accused me of picking 30 mins and I had told her that there was no way for me to pick how long a job would take. I then tried to show her how I did it and she told me that she didn't want to see it because she didn't know anything about how the website appointment worked. I told her that I can show her and she said that she didn't care and didn't want me to show her.

I then begin to tell her that I had called another Meineke location and asked them how long would it take to swipe out my alternator and they told me 30 mins. I informed her of that conversation and she said she didn't care because it's her store and she was charging me for an hour. I asked her did she know the number to the corporate office, and she stated to me that Corporate doesn't pay my bills here nor do they tell me what to do with my shop. So I just said alright then, because I wasn't about to get into an arguing match with her. Then she says to me, I really don't accept parts bought in, and I told her since when does Meineke or any shop not let you bring in parts that you purchase from a store and not put them on a person's vehicle.

I informed her that being military and constantly moving around, I have always done business in every state with Meineke and never not once did they tell me I couldn't purchase my parts myself. I was charged labor in each of those states to put on my parts, but never refused service all because I purchased the parts myself, which saved me a little money, and Meineke still got paid for labor. And I understood if I didn't purchase Meineke parts then my parts weren't warranty with Meineke. I understood that. When I informed her of all this, she said she didn't care once again and that it was her shop not corporate shop. And that she can refuse whatever she wanted. Now even if she is a franchise store, she still holds the name Meineke and should live up to Meineke expectations & customer service. I wasn't happy at all, and I felt cheated out of my hard earned money.

They pulled my vehicle in and I started my time and watched to make sure that once my vehicle was in, that they wouldn't try to walk away from it and ride the 1hr time out. My vehicle is a 2000 Chevy Blazer, and I myself had changed my alternator in my driveway by myself well within 30 mins, because everything is on top and so easy to get to. I couldn't do it this time due to having major surgery 2 weeks ago and can't do anything for 6 months. That's why I chose for Meineke to do it for me because they always treated me good in the past. So as I watched she stated to me that I didn't have to watch and I told her that I wanted to. So once they got the alternator on and charged my battery which was a brand new battery only 2 weeks old. They pulled it out and it took them 31 mins total.

When I informed her of how long it took, she stated to me once again that she didn't care and overcharged me by having to pay for an hr. I ask her did they have a 30 min charge and she said yes, but again I'm charging you the 1hr that I stated to you before beginning the work. She also upset another customer who was very unhappy with the work on her vehicle and wanted to talk to the mechanic who worked on her vehicle, and she stated to that customer that she wasn't allowed to talk to the mechanic and couldn't. Now I have never in my life heard of a shop manager refusing to allow the customer to talk to the mechanics, especially if the mechanic was the one who worked on that vehicle. She was very nasty and unprofessional and representing Meineke name on her shop.

I also take my hard earned money and trust Meineke to treat me well and with respect. I'm to the point, I don't want to do business with Meineke anymore because the only one closest to me is in Peachtree City which is her shop. She's giving Meineke a bad name and bad reputation. I hope this can get resolved and not swept under rug. I hope there will be consequences for her actions, and hold her accountable. I know I won't be getting my money back, what a shame.

I still have more work on my vehicle that I need done, but I think I'll give that business to someone else who knows how to treat, speak and talk to their customers. You might want to think twice before having your vehicle service at Meineke in Peachtree City, GA because PAM the Owner don't know how to treat, or talk to her customers, and she cheats you out of your hard earned money. I now drive a hour away to the next city to have my vehicle service, or have my vehicles towed a hour away to be service. This site does not care about their customers, nor how they demonstrate integrity regarding their work. The staff here in Peachtree City, GA has no interpersonal skills whatsoever. I would not refer or suggest anyone to bring their car to this shop for any kind of repairs.

My husband and I came to Meineke on June 29 2018 for my rear brake pads to be replaced. We arrived there approximately 11:15 am. Sadly to say we sat there for about 3.5 hrs for a brake job that should have only taken an hour. The brake job took 3.5 hrs because the assigned mechanic put the truck up on the lift and removed the wheels and left my truck up in the air and went to lunch before doing any work. Time went by. After two hrs of waiting we inquired about the truck. It was after 1pm. Once we brought the time frame to the manager's attention about how long we have been waiting he then took over and did the work himself. That took another hour and a half. We finally left Meineke at 4pm.

On top of that no one could find my lug cap. The mechanic was fired. The manager claimed that he was going to order me a lug cap. We continued to follow up regarding as to when my cap would be in. All we keep getting was the run around and put off. The manager continued to tell us it will be here in a week. Now it's three weeks later and we followed up with the shop manager again and that manager no longer works there. And of course no cap was ever ordered. We explained to the new manager who is there today and he wants to dim down the situation about the fact that when my truck arrived to Meineke my truck was whole with all lug caps. When my truck was worked on at Meineke we the customer was treated disrespectful by having us sit in the waiting area for 3+hrs for an hour brake job. On top of that the original mechanic took my lug cap and no one at the shop can find it.

To add to more insult we was lied to by the previous manager telling us that Meineke had ordered the lug cap to be replaced to bring my truck back whole. Only to be told by the new manager Tony on (July 17, 2018) that I can get a lug cap at the junk yard for $5.00. I informed the new manager that Meineke can and will get the lug cap being that it was Meineke who took off the lug cap and lost it. What an insult to me as a customer and befiling of my vehicle that was whole when I brought my vehicle in for brake repair.

This site does not care about their customers, nor how they demonstrate integrity regarding their work. The staff here has no interpersonal skills whatsoever. I would not refer or suggest anyone to bring their car to this shop for any kind of repairs. I want my lug cap replaced ASAP. I feel I have been patient enough in dealing with the run around, poor work and awful customer service and treated like I don't value my vehicle and damage my vehicle. We were contacted by Meineke customer service - ** whom states they want another opportunity to make this situation right.

Well I posted this back in July. The issue occurred June 29th. It is now August and I have not received any action from the customer service or Corp as promised. This is why these managers can be as vile and nasty to you as the customer because they know Corp will not do anything to help you as the paying customer. My issue has been escalated and reported to BBB and Consumer Financial Protection Agency. Ladies and gentlemen, beware and very cautious of taking your car to Mieneke Car Care in Snellville. For this business is not in the business of providing good customer relationships. They definitely will not be held accountable if their managers of these shops or their staff mess up your car, or take a part from your vehicle like they did mine.

You will not be compensated for it. Their corporate office is no better. They don't care about getting the consumer a resolution for their managers and employee's mess ups. Nor for their nasty unethical behaviors demonstrated. You just will be total out of luck. Take note as to why this shop continues to have a high turnover with maintaining managers and mechanics. Do yourself a favor and find another auto car shop that will work with integrity and stand true to their customer service ethics and the way they do business.

I was told it was the gasket and not a leak, etc. so I went ahead and got the work done.

Came home, everything sounded great... one week went by and I am having the same exact sound if not worse. Took it back and was told the erosion and rust on and near the manifold happened within a week and I needed the entire thing replaced... ARE YOU SERIOUS?!? Also, as I was leaving the mechanic goes “oh, I went ahead and put some auto putty on the holes so you won’t hear it”. So, is that what your company did the last time I was in so I thought the issue was fixed??? Mind you, this is the same franchise that can’t even complete a proper brake job without removing brake dust, etc. and I’ve had to come and get my brakes redone by them three times in 6 months!!! We found the lug nuts weren't tightened when they put the new set of tires on. I hadn't even gave authorization to put the tires on, but had discussed perhaps getting new tires for the car.

After the salesman promised I could get a $100 rebate after mailing in a form and receipt of the parts and labor I bought, over $900 I never received my rebate. I have called the rebate company, Synchrony Car Care to no avail. Their phone system doesn't allow you to talk to people. Leave messages to no avail. Stay away from Meineke and their promise of any rebates for spending money with them. Bait and switch at its greatest. My car nearly suffered catastrophic damage and possible damage or death.

They asked me to deposit 400$ for the part! They called me after 2 more days and told me the part is there. I took my car there once more and after 2 hrs wait they told me the part is defective and they are not able to fix it. The attitude of the male staff was not respectful at all. He told me he is not responsible for all the time I lost or for the fact that they couldn't keep their promise to repair my car...

About 30-45 minutes after getting this done in route Houston, Texas my check engine light comes on. I called Meineke while in route to Houston to inform them of what happened. I spoke to the assistant manager and told him I'll bring the car into the shop once I got back from Houston because my check engine light came on and it has never come on until they did work on my car. After getting back from Houston I was told the first time they just need to reset the something in the car. I leave and about 15 minutes later the check engine light comes on again.

I call up to Meineke again and told the guy my check engine light came on again so they check it. This time I was told that the clamps wasn't claimed all the way and that he test drove it and everything is fine now. Later on I was going to dinner and the light comes on again. I call back up to the shop on Monday and they said it was nothing they can do and that he talked to his manager and he printed out some papers for me to come get about resetting the check engine light. Now I'm having to pay $300 for a sensor they messed up to be put into my car. I really wished I had just driven to Houston without getting an oil change. I should've just waited until I got back to go to McSpadden's where I normally get all my oil changes and maintenance done.

We took our car to Meineke #2128, 2630 E Bell Rd Suite 1, Phoenix, AZ 85032 on Sat 5/5/2018 to get an A/C inspection done. We explained to ** and ** that the air blew hot when the car was still or parked. ** told us it would cost $65 for the inspection. ** then took us outside and let us have a look inside the hood of the car. The car was hooked up to a machine that diagnosed that both of the fans on the front side of the car were not working. They both were broken and needed repair. ** warned us that if they (both fans) were not replaced, this can cause great damage to the A/C unit and to the engine itself since the car would overheat. ** had me and my husband look at both fans and verify that they both were not moving and that they need to be replaced. We agreed to leave the car with them and have them do further testing.

** called me and let me know that indeed it was the fan motors and they needed to be replaced. ** quoted me the total balance for labor and work to be $373.44. I agreed to this over the phone since it was assumed that this would fix the issue with our A/C and not cause further problems like ** had warned us. We paid for the work with both ** and ** there behind the desk. We asked ** that how long would the fans last and if this work was guaranteed. He jokingly told ** to charge us an extra $100 for the guarantee. ** told us that the fans (2) would last about 5-20 years!

The following day, Sunday 5/6/2018 the car started to blow warm air as I was at a red light. The situation just progressed from there. It continued to blow warm air as we were parked. My husband took the car back on 5/10/2018. ** called me and let me know that unfortunately the fan that they did not replaced had just broken and needs repair. I told ** that we had paid to have both fans replaced. He said no that he told us they were replacing just 1 fan and we only paid for 1. ** hung up the phone on me. He said we could pay for the work or not. It is our problem not his.

Especially since John ** (manager) was gracious enough to rent me a car, while the repairs were being done. Mr. ** stated something like, "I don't know why it's not blowing cool, I might have to take it to the dealership to see what's going on."

Apparently he was able to fix it long enough to take my money and get me out of the door. Long story short, do not take your car to this, or any Meineke! I own a 2010 Ford Escape and the muffler developed a hole, I stopped in a Meineke Service Center in West New York, NJ on Kennedy Blvd and 65th street. I was told it would cost $563.00 to replace the muffler and so I went ahead with the repair. The first muffler was defective and the owner had it replaced. The second muffler was making a humming noise that makes it unbearable on long trips. After visiting the location a few times, the owner told me he couldn't do anything else for me, but if I wanted I could purchase the original muffler from the dealership ($565.00) and he would pay for half and install it for free, which meant I would end up paying over $700.00 for a $600.00 dollar muffler.

So I contacted Meineke customer service and was told I would get a call back in 72 hours, which turned to be 3 months. I was told that the solution the site owner had given me was an acceptable practice since I didn't choose the OEM option (which I wasn't offered originally). Then I was told that the warranty period was over and that there was nothing else they could do. So I'm left with a bad muffler and $563.00 dollars in the red. Please do not go to any Meineke locations for service, they are not serious about their business, they are only there to steal money from customers that in good faith want to give them business. Needless to say I'm going to end up taking these people to small claims court because the parent company does not stand behind the customer, but approves of the shady practices their franchisees employ to rob customers.

IF YOU VALUE THE APPEARANCE OF YOUR CAR, DO NOT TAKE IT HERE!!! SLOPPY AMATEUR TECHS!!! I have a nice vintage Integra Special Edition I am trying to restore. I took it here for a fluids systems clean and change. (Brake, clutch, power steering and coolant.) It's a good deal for the services and the last time I was here for an oil change a year ago, they found everything I already knew was wrong with the car and quoted prices to fix. Ok, they seemed to know what they were doing so I bring it in to change the fluids. Different crew this time, different techs and service writer. I figured normal turnover for a small shop like this and went ahead with the work. I go to pick it up, the fluids look great, very clear, but they somehow sprayed brake fluid or something on the windshield wiper cowling (black TPO plastic) permanently spotting it. I bring this to their attention and they try to deny it!

I had repainted the wiper arms 3 weeks prior and was so impressed at how new they looked I took a few pics. I show the pics to the service writer explaining they HAD to have done this. He begrudgingly agrees they did it, and wants an opportunity to try and fix it. I don't know why I agreed to this, but I bring it in the next day. They take less than an hour to completely destroy the wiper cowling. They sanded it with some kind of very abrasive pad or paper permanently scratching the edge of the windshield in the process. Then they spray some kind of solvent or de-greaser directly on the cowling, which turns it a powdery milky white and eats the paint off of the wiper arms I just restored 3 weeks prior!! They offer to replace the part, but new parts are not available so only a used part in about the same condition as mine was before they destroyed it. Ok, that's fair, I'll take the part but the shop is NOT TOUCHING THE CAR EVER AGAIN!!

If this was a newer car or the parts they damaged had no prior damage I'd be taking them to small claims court. The fluids are clear, but the damage they caused EACH TIME THEY TOUCHED THE CAR, is inexcusable. Paying $350.00 to have a shop damage the car, then the shop pays $25 for a replacement part which I no longer trust them to install. So I restored the used part and re-installed it myself. It feels like I got cheated and they got off easy. I really think they should pay ME for the hours labor I saved them by me installing the part myself. Their shop rate is $120.00 an hour. I would accept a $120.00 refund on the services they rendered damaging my car in the process, and consider the matter resolved. WARNING!!! Do not take your car here unless you don't care what the car looks like. These are very sloppy, very amateur technicians.

Recently I called and made an appointment with Meineke on Shelbyville Rd. in Middletown KY for an oil change. When I arrived for my appointment I could barely get into the parking lot for all the cars parked for service so after temporarily parking in front of the bays, I entered the waiting area which was filled with customers. I asked the guy at the desk how far behind they were and he told me, "About a half an hour?" I suggested that I return in a half hour if that would be better and he agreed. When I returned to a line of new people, another guy was behind the desk so I explained that I had an appointment but his co-worker had informed me that they were running a half hour behind and I was returning for my oil change. I then asked how long he thought it would be since I had noticed a couple of people in line in front of me were there for various reasons without appointments and the lot was still full of cars to be serviced.

All the sudden I hear the original guy's loud talking from the back room telling me that making an appointment doesn't mean that you will be helped at that time, it just means that you will be in front of the line of any customers that haven't made an appointment... that it would be the same thing as if I was in a doctor's office waiting room! With all those people in the waiting area, and the cars parked outside, I guess he was letting me know that my appointment really didn't matter. An oil change isn't worth waiting all day for... I can go onto the next place if that's the case but they need to advise their customers of that before giving them an 'appointment' time. This is my last trip to Meineke for anything and a warning for others.

PLEASE BEAR WITH ME AND READ ON UNTIL YOU GET FURTHER INTO THIS POST... Six months ago, I had contacted Consumer Protection (Attorney General) regarding an unsafe car that I had purchased from Plaistow Auto Group in NH. They were then obligated to fix the car, and they did have some repairs done (some by themselves, and some by Plaistow Meineke). However, the EVAP system wasn’t working properly and still read error codes. The car was to PASS INSPECTION LEGALLY.

For SIX MONTHS, Plaistow Auto had yanked me around and said they had "fixed" the EVAP system (THREE times!), only for me to drive it home each time and it would go on again once I hit the highway. (I know darn well that they were just turning off the engine light with their code reader!) Consumer Protection then notified us that it had been 6 months already, and they had to close the case at the 6 month deadline. (Can you believe that they took the car 3 times and had it for SIX months, and it STILL wasn’t fixed completely???) They told me to pursue it further with another agency if it wasn't fixed by then. Once Plaistow Auto was notified of this 6 month deadline, they stalled until the VERY LAST DAY (they had the car) and then refused to FINISH FIXING the EVAP system. (Now when I have to get it inspected again in September, it will fail!)

NOW HERE'S WHERE MEINEKE COMES IN: All during these 6 months, Meineke had said that their EVAP "smoking" tester had been "down"...how convenient! Their "buddies" at Plaistow Meineke, by the way, do "favors" for them such as: allowing them to get their own parts, paying with cash so it would not be in the system...therefore no paperwork (I requested some, but they said “we don’t have any because they “deal with cash when it involves Chris (at Plaistow Auto)” (they even “lost” my estimate from National Tire and Battery with everything wrong with the car), and saying their EVAP tester was "down" for 6 months...yet they gave me a sticker anyway without testing it??

I even showed them the code P0455 on my code reader before I even left the parking lot, but the manager Ben said I would have to take it up with Plaistow Auto because they were “working for them”. What? They were the ones who gave me the illegal sticker!! If a car does not have the engine light out, it is NOT supposed to pass!! I asked if I could finish this by allowing me to get the EVAP system tested at Seabrook, NH Meineke (where I live), and then have either Seabrook or Plaistow Meineke do the repairs at their (or Plaistow Auto’s) expense. BUT NOOO!!!

No responses from any of my emails to Meineke Customer Service, and there are no Corporate Offices to write to. If ANYONE in here knows of an email address to the corporate offices, please let me know. And if any Meineke representatives read this post, PLEASE HELP ME FIX THIS CAR LEGALLY!! Right now, I consider it illegal, even though they put an inspection sticker on it. It shouldn't have passed!! I know, I know...what is she complaining about if she got a sticker?? It could cost me $1000 to fix it myself in September, and it was their responsibility, as state by the Consumer Protection, Office of the Attorney General, to make the car safe and legally inspected!!!

On multiple repairs we had to take my car back to fix a botched job. When we got fed up and took our car to another shop we were told the timing belt and tensioner would have to be repaired as the timing belt is loose, the sticker indicating the replacement of the timing belt didn't even match the belt that was put in the car and the tensioner needed adjusted.

The total repair, for a job supposedly done at Meineke Store #455 at 6650 N Academy Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO, would cost another $1200 - $1300 dollars. When I called Meineke about it I was told the sticker didn't have to match the belt and that if I wanted to bring the car back in they would look at it but there shouldn't be anything wrong. When I told them I wasn't comfortable bringing it to them again after so many botched jobs he had no recollection or record of such events and said the one time they did re-repair it was as a favor to us because we had spent so much money through them.

He told me whoever did it last put the wrong ones in which a recent mechanic inspected this work and said the spark plugs are still incorrect. They did that along with a new oxygen sensor, which late I was told shouldn't be replaced unless the wire is bad... But the tech didn't show me anything. And also fuel injection cleaning and service. All of which didn't fix ANYTHING. A week later came back because my car felt like it was gonna stall (which it did after leaving). When I took it into Meineke for him to look over he had my WHOLE car dissembled and I was there for 3 hrs and he still didn't know what it was. In fact told me a new problem was the issue and I need to pay 800 more on top of the 1300 I already blew.

So I had a family friend inspect all of this and told me that "nothing they did fixed my problem and the work should have only been recommendations". Meineke just be digging for reasons to charge you. As I sat in the lobby at Meineke, I listened to other folks coming in for basic stuff and they kept telling EVERYONE they needed new rotors or some sort of brake issue, even if all you wanted was an oil change. A simple oil change for every customer was not simple. They had to find 'something'. EVERYONE that came they told them 800-1000$ more than what they came to get done. The price gouge and lie to everyone. I sat quietly by the window, listened, and shook my head. It was in that moment, I wished I never went there. So now I got a diagnostic reader, which I high recommend. Found out it's the mass air flow sensor that needs replaced. A repair that costs $105 - 270 in price. Not 1300$ and still not fixed.

Upon pick up the auto, I was told Meineke was unable to perform an alignment as they lacked special Mini tools. They said they only adjusted toe settings and only charged for half the alignment price. The vehicle did NOT blow cold and AC was not working nor did the car shift. They said of the 475 I was billed, they could not get the AC to blow cold and the shifting issue was likely air in the system. I was unable to drive my car off their lot. The linkage seemed impacted when their mechanic jammed on a shift knob I asked them to leave off. Instead he smashed it on unkeyed and this caused my shift linkage to be awry.

Incidentally with AC not operative upon pickup my power window on driver side was suddenly inoperative. I received no resolution other than bring it back for AC and drive car to get air bled out of clutch cylinder. We are not a Mini dealer they said. I told them that my car pulls so what kind of alignment did you perform??? I paid 475 dollars and the car is same or worse than when I brought it in! I cannot get it to shift gears now that you worked on it. I only got half an alignment and my AC does not work. This is the first and last time I ever trust and go to Meineke.

I went in for an oil change and was told by the manager they were having a hard time getting the skid plate off of my VW Beetle because the bolts holding it in place were rusted. I asked if they could get it off and even told them they could cut the bolts and put the skid plate in the back seat until I got new bolts for it - they said no problem. I left thinking they had put the skid plate back on because it wasn't in my car.

On the way home, my driver side window started giving me trouble, so the next morning I took the car to my mechanic. I left the car with them since the parts I needed had to be ordered. I asked if they could order new bolts for the skid plate since the ones on it were rusted. My mechanic called me back and asked if I wanted an oil change while the skid plate was off. I said no and told him I didn't need one because I'd had one the day before I brought it to him. He said that was not possible because there was no way anyone could have taken that skid plate off - they had needed an air hammer to get the last few screws out (FYI - I recently bought it and it had previously lived in Pennsylvania).

I asked him to check and be sure before I called Meineke (Myrtle Beach, George Bishop Parkway) upset. He called me back and stated that there was fresh oil, but the filter was black. He saved it for me and it was filthy! Meineke never changed the filter and the worst part was that I got the synthetic oil change and would have driven around with a filthy oil filter for 10,000 miles!!!

I called the manager James and told him what happened - he said he would call me back. When he did he said he looked at the video and it shows the tech removing the skid plate so I went in to look at it myself. All the tech did was undo the plastic plate around the skid plate and move it aside to let the oil out. You could even see it wiggle because he left it hanging in the air while. The steel skid plate would have had to be taken off completely because of its size and weight and it surely wouldn't have wiggled in the air - plus the video never showed the tech changing the oil filter!!! James said he would have the owner, Jim, call me. He never did. I was not offered a refund or anything! I spent over $200 dollars there that day only to be lied to, left with a huge bill and almost another 10,000 miles on a filthy oil filter!!! NEVER, NEVER GO THERE!!!

I took my car in for an oil change and agreed to have a couple of other services performed. When I came there my ac worked fine on level 1 but when I left I noticed they had it on the maximum level and the windows down. Apparently the next day I was driving it I noticed that the ac was only blowing on the max speed of 5. I took it back to them to look at it and they said the blower resistor was bad. It was not bad when I brought it in. They claim it's a part and they go bad and their services were not anywhere near my blower resistor. But when you're checking fuses, messing with relays, and other electrical things how can you be sure that you did not fry the relay. But that day I left more disappointed. The mechanic messed with my alarm and it was no longer chirping when you arm and disarm it.

I didn't buy the alarm so I did not know how to begin to figure out what setting he changed. I know it only takes a minute or 2 for people that know cars to put an alarm in valet mode. So after I tried for days I went back up to Meineke and asked if he could change the setting back and the lying trash that checked my air said that is how the alarm works and he didn't change anything. That's a lie for sure, an alarm cannot put itself into valet mode and he was smirking and grinning just repeating about how the alarm worked and it doesn't chirp when you lock it. I now know that they truly do not want to help people and don't have you, your car, nor your pocket's interest in mind. It took me researching after leaving there for an hour to find out that the alarm was in valet mode and how to get it out. When he could have changed the setting back in 2 mins.

I contacted Meineke about recharging my ac system. I informed them. I had converted my system. From a r12, to r134 system. They stated the price would be 189.00. I agreed came in. The guy came to me. And stated: "I have to pull the compressor to drain." I have mechanical experience. Yet I asked: "How much." I was told 578.00. I agreed. Yet looking thru the window. The compressor wasn't taken out of the vehicle. I questioned this. And was told, "We didn't have to."

I said, "What justifies the same charge." I was told labor. Straight up hustle. And they knew. I knew. I paid. And left. I didn't want to pay bail. And for an attorney. The bill stated 7 hours. I was there 2 hours. And 1 hour they worked on the vehicle. Simply did a recharge refrigerant. And oil. Do yourself a favor. Find another business. This is not the same company of old. I contacted the main office. And provided my email address. My phone nos. The invoice. Told I would hear from them. Nothing. Invoice #**. Estimate ID.**

Went to the Meineke in Old Saybrook, CT for brake work. 104 days later my steering locks up and my wheels are making terrible noises while I am driving. I had to frantically pull over. My vehicle was undrivable and had to be towed. The rotor froze because the bearings were installed improperly. I could have been killed. The ensuing weeks were a nightmarish web of lies and run-arounds. They refused to do anything about it because I was two weeks outside of the 90 day warranty, for labor and parts.

Corporate refused to intervene, saying I had to reach a resolution on my own with the shop I took it to. So guess how eager the guys there were willing to give me my money back? Not a chance. Meineke is a soulless anti-consumer corporation. I will never go there again and I will also spend the rest of my days convincing everyone I know never to go there. Stay away. You are not protected if something happens. Their warranty policies are only there to save themselves and to rip you off if something goes wrong.

I typically do not go so far as to write reviews but this situation lead me to warn everyone about my experience at the Meineke on Roswell Road in the Sandy Springs/Dunwoody Area. Simply put, they serviced my brakes about 7/8 months ago and now they are squeaking again. I went back today to have it checked out and they are telling me that it is just wear and tear and that the warranty does not cover that and that I need a 400+ brake job. I called my Chevy dealership and they said it would be $270 worse case. The girl at the desk was rude and very dismissive as if she did not care at all... so, long story short... DO NOT GO THERE... Needless to say they start leaking again. Left me stranded many miles away from home. I've tried calling the customer service many times and I've gotten nothing but "we're going to fill out another report, we're going to fill out another report" even though they're still under warranty. The shop won't even call me back or even remotely standby the work that they do. This is the shop at the top of Kent Des Moines Road in Kent on Pacific Highway South. I went to Meineke on a referral from my boyfriend. I needed a transmission fluid flush, and I was about to go on vacation, so I asked for a road trip check where they check the battery, a/c, etc. I got it in right away and it took them about an hour. They gave me the check list sheet, and told me everything look great, but I would need to come back in a few days to check my fluid levels to make sure I wasn't leaking.

A few days later I'm back and they tell me again everything looks fine. Three days later a day before I'm about to drive 7 hours for my vacation my car won't start. I had to jump it multiple times that day just to go to work and leave work. I brought it in to them later that day and the mechanic proceeds to tell me that I need a new battery. Six days after they had just told me everything looked fine and my car had no issues I now all of the sudden need a new battery. I asked the man "how can my battery need changed when you just checked it six days ago and it was fine"? He tells me that the battery checker he used last time isn't very reliable, so he used a different battery checker this time, and it showed that I need a new battery. I asked him why in the world would he use that checker if he knew it wasn't reliable? He told me they are supposed to use anyway.

So basically this company is using faulty equipment knowingly, telling people their batteries are fine, and in reality they have no idea! Thank God I wasn't in a different state before this happened. They didn't even offer to put it in for free since they missed it the first time. I am extremely disgusted with this company and I feel they should be reprimanded for lying to people and using faulty equipment!

On 6/6/17 (Tuesday) I went for a regular OIL CHANGE that just happened to take over three hours. Once "done" they called me and I went and picked up my car. On Wednesday (6/7/17) I drove to work and my car was making a rattling noise under the hood (maybe 20 miles one way) and figured maybe something was loose and I was planning on taking it back so the "techs" would look at it. Something came up and couldn't make it that day. The following day, On Thursday (6/8/17) I was driving to my job on the freeway and my car started making a lot more noise, shaking and rattling and not wanting to speed up. Luckily I was by an exit and coasted out of there. I pulled into a parking lot and the car just stopped completely. My car wouldn't start for anything. I called the Meineke where I had went and explained to the Assistant manager what happened. He called a tow truck for me.

While I was waiting, I was looking around the hood to see if the problem looked obvious but didn't see anything out of the ordinary. Then I CHECKED THE OIL and the dipstick was completely dry. Checked it more than 4 times. I even have a video of me checking the oil. (my wife wanted to see) Once the tow truck came (3 hours later) they took me and my car to the shop. Once there they took my car into the back of the shop and after around 20-30 minutes later the Assistant manager told me that the car had oil in it and that the engine just gave out! I couldn't believe what was happening. So I had the car towed to a Chevrolet dealer in town so they can look at it and not give me the runaround. They also said the car had oil.

The following day on Friday (6/9/17) I went back to the Meineke because the Assistant Manager said he had footage of my car when they "put oil in it". They definitely put the hose in my car, doesn't mean they actually pumped oil it. I then asked the Assistant Manager to show me the footage of when my car returned after it was towed, and he did. You wouldn't believe what was happening back there. There was like 4-5 guys all around the car doing God knows what and then when no one was around my car, the MONITOR WHERE MY CAR WAS BEING RECORDED TURNED BLUE ALL OF SUDDEN!!! Which is complete BULL! They said that "That happens once in a while". I also had him rewind the footage and I recorded the screen going blue on my phone. I filed a complaint with the corporate office and I spoke to some lady that I could barely understand and she was having a hard time understanding me.

So you can imagine how that went. They corporate office called me back and they stated that they had talked "to the store" and they did everything right and how I wanted to take on this situation was completely up to me from here on. Here's my theory, they didn't put oil in my car after they drained it and when they towed it back to the shop they added oil. I have proof that there was no oil in the car when it stopped running and then the monitor goes blank when my car was back there is very suspicious. They're obviously tampering with the footage. They continue to deny that they messed up and won't help me out. I understand that we are human and we mess up here and there but don't hide it and I think they should be held responsible for this. My car was running great. No problems, no noises, no symptoms of any kinds. It's a 2011 Chevy Traverse with 75,500 miles.

I would give zero stars if possible. In 2013 I took my 2010 Chevy Cobalt to Meineke for a muffler repair. They told me I'd have to repair not only the muffler but also the pipes. So I agreed to the price and paid for them to do the service. A couple weeks later I noticed the muffler was making a loud noise, brought it back and was told it needed to be broken in. After a couple months the noise did die down. Fast forward to a year and half later (2015) muffler again making loud noise like before repair. I take it to a local mechanic who tells me the muffler is all rusted out and broken.

Back to Meineke I go, knowing full well this part is under warranty. When I get there I explain the situation to the service writer behind the desk. He laughs at me and says, "Well that's because they sold you a bad muffler to begin with, it does need to break in to be quiet". They then proceeded to tell me that the life of a muffler is only 1.5 yrs, I know this to be untrue because my brother is a mechanic. All said and done I ended up paying for a new muffler again in addition to new pipes because whoever welded it before didn't do it right. Fast forward to now, I'm in the same boat again, muffler making same noise. I take it to the dealership my brother works for and they tell me the weld work looks like that of a 6 yr old and not a quality professional. At this point I don't even want to get in touch with Meineke because their work is low quality and they don't stand behind it. NEVER using this place again. This is the letter I had to send Meineke today... SMH. I took my vehicle in to be serviced yesterday at Meineke located at 800 W. Patapsco. The first RED FLAG was that the mechanic 'looked' at my brakes, completed NO diagnostic and called my warranty company and reported 'there was nothing wrong with my vehicle" WITHOUT ANY DIAGNOSTIC! My brakes did not need service, however I bought the vehicle in for the issues that were listed on my dash... NOT MY BRAKES!! My dash stated I needed an oil change, rotation, and oil filter change. I had to call the mechanic to my car to show him!!! I had to call my warranty company and make a complaint to the claims department. He than called the warranty company, changed his story and then took my vehicle in to be serviced.

When I picked it up there were still issues with the vehicle. Particularly the rear tail light was still out. Even though the light was out... the mechanic marked it as EXCELLENT!! I cannot believe it. I waited all day for them to not even fix my car. The location closed at 3, when I picked it up so I could not have it repaired. When I called SilverRock my warranty company they were already closed since 2. They also charged me for brake diagnostic... when that should be included in the safety inspection included in the oil change? And If you completed a brake diagnostic where is the report? I wanted to notify SilverRock of the issue and I intend to have it repaired under my limited warranty on Monday, but they were closed...

Now I have to take off of work Tuesday, take my vehicle to my existing mechanic so that he may check the vehicle and complete a more accurate diagnostic. Among other inconveniences I cannot drive my vehicle with a missing tail light!! I will get a ticket!!! Please contact me at your earliest convenience... I intend to return the vehicle on Tuesday to Meineke. If this issue is not resolved effectively then I fully intend to report this incident to the BBB. And I fully intend to follow this up. The customer service I received was horrendous! I spoke with ** around 11am on Monday and he assured me he would follow up with SilverRock. I told him I would call back before Meineke closed to follow up. When I called back no one answered the phone. I had to call back to back 4 times in order to get someone to answer.

When Danny finally answered, he was annoyed and said, "Ms. ** I am calling SilverRock right now on the other line." He did not need to ask who it was, so it was obvious they were ignoring my call. And I told him I would hold on... At this time I have been on hold for 1 hour and 6 minutes... and he has not even come back to tell me anything. I called the store on my other line and someone picked up and hung up on me 3 times! Now the store is closed!!! So he ignored me, hung up on me, left me on hold for an hour... then closed the store with me on hold!!! I can't believe this is a reputable company like Meineke!?? I am not even an irate customer. I am a Baltimore City teacher and I have done nothing but be respectful to the men at this Meineke location.

I honestly believe that the service I have received is a result of me being an ** woman. Racism and discrimination are a very common practice in this part of Baltimore, and I will NOT be discriminated against! I WILL have my husband, WHO IS A LAWYER, file a discrimination suit against your company. I already have contact information from 2 ** individuals who have experienced the same level of poor, disrespectful service. I have a recording of my encounter and I am filing this grievance because at some point, there has to be an understanding that you cannot treat people poorly, discriminate against them and get away with it.

Then, the guy tells me he can't give me the discount because I don't have a physical mailer then he proceeds to show me invoices with all the other discounts mom's got that day, but that I was out of luck because I didn't have the mailer. So I ended up paying $73 after seeing all the other invoice's that had the mom day discount 50%. Meineke is criminal in the way they lie and charge more than they need to for women. When I declined the synthetic oil, they told me my car would be out front momentarily (without an oil change). I was in Richmond for my nephew's funeral, so decided to go home to TN and get an oil change there. Before leaving, I noticed my car didn't sound quite right so I took it to a mechanic. He checked the oil and discovered it was completely empty!

I shudder to think what would have happened if I had not noticed that sound. The only reason for this is the Meineke mechanic must have drained the oil before telling me about the synthetic oil issue, and didn't refill it when I declined. He also said my oil cap specified "synthetic oil only". It doesn't! I have used Meineke for several years now, but after this I will never go there again!

I went to Meineke Car Care Center in Blue Diamond Road in Las Vegas and asked to have a plain service such as oil change, check the water in the radiator, rotate tires, etc to my tiny Hyundai. Just normal work and also to check the brakes just in case it needed some adjustment. My car is small and fairly new, purchased in 2016, and is still under warranty. I left the car and went shopping at the nearby stores instead of just waiting. I returned several times with my purchases, put them in the trunk of the car, and noticed that the car was never lifted to do the oil change or the tire rotation. It was inside the garage on the ground the whole time while the mechanic worked on some other cars. I went in and out of the shop putting my purchases inside my car without anyone seemingly working on my car for about an hour.

I was returning from my last shop trip when the service person who had written my ticket called me and said that it would be $40.00 more to clean and adjust the rear brake shoes and it will take one more hour. I told him to go ahead and I was about twenty steps from the shop when I saw this mechanic looking all over inside my car. After his call, I made a call from the parking lot that lasted about five minutes while watching my car not being worked on at all still. After I finished my call, I went inside the office to sit and wait. To my surprise, as soon as I got in, the service person told me that my car was ready. I thought it was weird that they told me that it was going to be an hour but nobody had done anything to my car since his call and they had apparently cleaned the rear brakes in the less than a minute it took me to get inside the office.

I had been outside all the time while doing my call and had not seen the mechanic get near my car at all. When I asked how come it had been done that soon and when the service man told me that the mechanic had been working on it when he had called. I then asked how long it takes to do that job and said again it was weird as it seemed such a short time. There was another serviceman in the same small office and he turned around and said really loud that he had heard someone said the word "weird" and wanted to know what I meant by that. He was staring at me as if he was going to hit me or something. I am a 62 year old tiny woman.

I looked at him and he repeated the question staring at me curtly and I said that I had said "weird" because it was weird that they had cleaned both rear brakes in less than ten minutes (the span of time between the other man's call and me walking into the office as there is less than 20 feet between the open garage where my car was and the office door). The service person then lied right in my face and said that the mechanic was doing them while he was calling me for authorization to charge it. I was walking from the stores and anyone can see the gates of the garage open and I could see that nobody was near my car while he was calling me. I know for a fact that he was lying because I had been watching the shop the whole time as I approached it from the stores. Nobody had been working on my car as I was getting there. I even put more bags of purchases inside the trunk of the car while he was talking to me.

The mechanic was working on some other cars and not on mine. I was then taken aback because how do you clean rear brakes then in less than ten minutes and what shop does it before getting authorization from the customer? The other bulky man kept saying things under his breath about things not being weird and if there were complaints etc... I paid but this is my first time with Meineke and definitely my last. I then took my car to ABC Hyundai right away as there were issues with the battery. Once there, they did the 5 point service and lo and behold, they told me that the brakes had not been cleaned ever and I needed more oil in my car. They did the whole thing for free.

As you can tell, that particular Meineke was not honest at all. They not only charged for something they did not do but shortchanged me on oil on top of that. They also put my next oil change for after 300 miles only from 18930 to 19230. I have never heard of having to change my oil every 300 miles in a nearly brand new car still under warranty. Someone had told me that they do that to women for them to come more frequently for unnecessary oil changes. I checked my manual and the Internet and most small sedans like mine require oil changes within the standard 3 to 5000 miles or so.

To say the least, I am not returning to that place ever again. I had heard stories about them but I needed to find a new car service place as my old mechanic shop closed. I will never take my tiny car to that place unless I want to get charged for work not done, cheated of a can of oil, and to top it all, bullied by a large man to shut up and pay.

Too many tries to get it fixed. On 3/18 I brought my wife’s 2002 Saturn Vue in to have the oil leak fixed. When Arron called me back, he said it was the valve covers and the oil pan that were leaking. I said go ahead and fix them. Later he called back and said that the spark plugs were soaked with oil and should be replaced. I told him that since the car had 100k miles on it to go ahead and replace the spark plugs.

Later just before 5:00pm, closing time I stopped in because I did not hear from them, Arron said that they were having trouble with the engine running rough. They had just put the engine back together for the second time and started the engine and the engine was shaking all around in the engine compartment. Arron said that they would stay late and take it down and put it back together again. I stopped in at 8:00pm and they had just put the engine back together and started it. No change. The engine was doing the same thing. So, they gave me the loaner car for Sunday and Monday while they got a mechanic in from Colorado Springs to look at it on Monday.

Monday afternoon, they called and told me that they broke the intake and had to order a new one. Rightly so, Arron said that they would take care of the cost of the intake. They got me a rental car set up and paid for the rental car for three days. Thank you for that. After three days, Arron said, “It is running good now. It should be much better than before I brought it in”. SO I paid the $647.00 and change. When I went to pick up the Saturn, my wife drove it home.

The next afternoon, she said that something was wrong with the car and that it was lunging and the service engine light was on. I drove the car and found that indeed the engine light was on and it was misfiring at about 35mph. I called Arron. Arron said, “is it still doing that? We think it may be the number 6 injector because that is what the computer said. It is a P306 error code. We flushed out the fuel system and may have to do it again.” I said, "I will bring it back in two weeks on a Saturday when you open, because we need the car for now.”

Two weeks later, I brought the car in at 7:30am on Saturday April 1, 2007. During which time, I noticed that the car smelled like it was burning oil on the exhaust manifold again. I put a clean board under her car and I took photos of the oil stains the next day. I took the photos in and went back to the shop. There was a different desk manager who knew nothing about this issue. I showed him the photos. I found that I was not set up in their computer for an appointment as I was told when I talked to Arron on the phone. The new guy talked to the mechanics in the back. The tall thin one with a bit of a beard said that he thought it was the fuel injector or the EGR valve. I asked if he could get me in because I need the car on Monday. She said that he couldn’t and since I did not have an appointment, as I was told I would, he could not fit me in. I said, “Ok, put me in the computer for next Saturday." I saw him do so and left.

This Saturday 4/15, I took the car into the shop at 7:30am. There was a different desk manager again. I explained the situation about the oil still leaking and the sputtering, the history and that I had an appointment today. I specifically asked him if they would be able to get it out today and that I was willing to pay for parts but not labor as they were going to have to break into the engine for the oil leak as the oil leak is in the front of the engine where #6 cylinder is located. He said he wasn’t sure if he could because he had three cars left over from the day before. But he would try. I drove by the shop at 1:00pm and saw that the car was not in the garage and I called him. He said that they had not gotten to the car yet but the same mechanic that worked on it before was finishing up a car and mine was next.

By 3:00pm, I had not heard from him so I called. He said that they think it is the #6 injector as they turned it off and there was no change in the engine performance. I said, "Is there any way you can fix it in the two hours you have left in the day?" He said that he could not. I told him to not work on it and that I would set up an appointment for next Saturday again and that we would pick it up and that I am very close to asking for my money back because this was try number three to fix it.

When I went to pick it up, the car was in the same spot it was when I went by at 1:00pm. He said that they did not have a chance to look at the oil leak but they were concentrating on getting it running right. That gave me the estimate on how much it would cost to fix it. Strangely, that cost was almost exactly what I already paid to have them not fix it, and break the intake manifold and return it to me with an engine light on and not running right. I told him that I am not paying for them to fix the issue that they caused and I was going to consult with customer service.

My position is a few items. I paid over $600.00 for them to fix a leak and change out the spark plugs. They did not fix the leak and returned it to me with a check engine light on and it poorly. If they had check the oil leak the second time, they may have found that it was from the front valve cover as the oil leak is in the front. Being that the suspect injector is in the front and under the valve cover, that part of the labor which involves removal of the intake and valve cover should be covered under warranty. Therefore, the cost of the injector replacement should be substantially less.

At this point, if I am going to spend over $600.00 for them to get the engine running right after they messed it up, I’m not going to spend it with them. Nor will I go back. And I shall let everyone I know what has happened to me and possibly go to Tom Martino for resolution on the radio as well as google. I want the oil leak fixed. I’m willing to pay for parts to get the engine running correctly unless it is something they broke. I’m not willing to pay for labor for work they messed up on. Call me.

So I get the car and drove it 3 blocks and battery light came on. Took it back they said they will fix it. 4hrs later they left the car outside the place and said it was fix. Mechanic drove 2 miles to my home. Next day drove the car for less than 10 miles and broke. This was Friday and as of Tuesday nobody open the place. They said that mechanic said it was alternator. I had it towed other place looks like a wire was not connected properly or a rat got it. I have called them at the other store where manager is since 8:30 am and as of 4:30 pm nothing. I took my 2001 Chevy Impala to Meineke on 2/20/17. Told them my engine light is on, asked them what they charge for diagnosis, Alahn the young man at counter said no charge. That that would look at my car and tell what is wrong and how much to fix it. After about 30 min. Alahn told me I needed egr control valve switch, egr valve, and a vapor canister purge solenoid. I said "Ok how much will that cost?" After 20 min on his computer he quoted me $557.12, he said it would take about 2hrs. So I knowing nothing about cost to repair this, I let them, trusting this would fix my problem. They offered me a ride home. In my car! This was at 1:30 pm. At 4:15 pm I called Alahn and asked how was it going with my car? He told me that they were busy taking care of other customers' emergencies and said they were starting on it now.

At 5:20 pm, Alahn called me car is ready. After telling me it would take a couple hours to install parts. I thought it strange that they did it in an hr. From when I called at 4:20, So he said he would have his mechanic pick me up. When he picked me up at 5:40 pm, when I got in the car the engine light was still on. He told me I have to drive it 50 miles bring it back to Meineke and they will reset computer. I have taken my car back 7 times to reset computer, the 7th time mechanic Sharawn took car into shop, open the hood and said he was trying to clean the air system. 30min later he brought car out, reset computer light went out. One block away headed home light came back on. Drove back to Meineke he reset it again. Said to drive it 50 miles then bring it back. Mind you I have already done this now 8 times. So after 50 miles took it back again. This time a different code on computer came up and he said I need a vapor canister.

Alahn told me if I get the part I will not get charged to install it. I have already paid 547.12, So I went to O'Reilly's auto parts, got the part, took to Alahn. He said "No that's not the right part." So he pulled my car into the shop, lifted my car and showed me what the part looks like and had me take a picture of it. Which was really odd I thought. So I went back to O'Reilly's, showed them the picture and they told me they couldn't tell by pic what I need. So I called Alahn, he gave me a part number. Gave it to O'Reilly's, they told me the part number was for a water pump. At this point I am upset that I even need to be running around like this to get my car fixed, after paying Meineke 557.12. So I called Alahn again, told him the part number he gave me was for a water pump. He said "What?" Alahn said "Ok let me call you back with right part number."

After 30 min he called me. Gave me part number cpv 124, which turned out to be a vapor canister purge solenoid, on my invoice it shows they charged 87.09 for this same part. So I took part to Alahn again!!! He said yes, that this was the part, then told me that he will have to charge me labor to put it in. I told him he said if I got the part I would not be charged to put it in! He said well if the mechanic can do it outside the shop he won't charge me. But if he needs to pull it in shop I will be charged. I left and contacted customer service. This all started 2/20/17. This day I went to shop with part was 3/16/17, Because they made me drive 59 miles to reset computer 8 times has taking me over a month to try and get my car fixed with Meineke! I called customer service on 3/16/17, as of today 3/27/17 I have had no response from customer service, And I have called 6 times since 3/16/17.

So I called the manager at Meineke and asked for a refund, his name he said was Tyrell. He said the company does not give refunds. I asked him "Why did you charge me for the same part I had to go purchase..." and then wanted to charge me to install after Alahn said I would not be charged. He never replied to my question, but asked me if my engine light was still on? I told him yes! He said if I bring it back in now, he would see what he can do to fix it! No! I told him I no longer trust them to fix my car. I just want a refund! And again he said the company does not give refunds.

So here I paid them $557.12, and my car is not fixed! I was ripped off and they know it! What was suppose to take 3 to 4 hrs to fix took them an hr. And now I'm out $557.12. Cannot afford to taking nowhere else. Took me six months to save up just to take my car somewhere to be fixed. This is really a robbery of my money and nothing got fixed. They ran me around town to get a part they didn't even know what part I needed, then I see the part I got is on my invoice that they say they already installed. This is wrong and I deserve a refund. But instead I'm left broke and with a car that's not fixed. And have nowhere to turn for help. Maybe ConsumerAffairs can help. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Please help me if you can. Thank you.

Went to Meineke on Serene Ave in Las Vegas on Fri. Mar 3. Been going to Meineke for 2-3 yrs. My children, neighbors and co-workers have also went there on my referral. Until 2 weeks ago I was very satisfied and had mostly dealt with a mgr. (Troy) and NEVER had a problem. He recently was promoted and a new mgr. (GREG) took over. Took my car in for an oil change and of course was told I need other things namely a new radiator. Ok, $800+ repair, was told it would be done around noonish (I took it in about 8:30 am). Got home and of course they call that they didn't have all the parts and they would have to be ordered. In the meantime they took my radiator off and the car couldn't be driven. They told me the part had to come from Calif.

My wife calls Meineke and since she was at work and didn't know this and asked if she could pick the car up at 2:00. Greg told her it wouldn't be done until Tues or Wed (I took it in on Fri). 5 DAYS! No car, had to rent a car... MORE EXPENSE. She said to him "you said noonish," he then tells her he never told me that... What. Are you kidding me you LIAR!!

Then when the car was finally done he told me he had to order a part he never charged me for... $42.00. I said, "when I asked if the $800+ covers everything, you said yes everything (apparently another lie)." So I stood there for about 20 seconds looking at him thinking he would say "sorry for the 5 days and inconvenience, since you and family, and the friends, co-workers you referred to us has made us thousands of dollars, just forget the $42." LOL. Not only did he not do that, he said it was really $48. Then when I got mad and gave him my card to charge he charged my card $56 and change. I tried to explain that my family has spent thousands at this store and that doesn't include the friends, neighbors and co-workers. His response... "I don't care." WOW and this company employs people like this.

I have since talked to all the people my wife and I have referred and found out they have referred many of their friends, co-workers etc. So as far as I can ascertain at least 25-30 people have agreed to no longer do business with this company! Now what a great management decision!! Brilliant!! This so-called MGR. has cost this company thousands and thousands of future dollars for... $56.00. LMAO!! Dumb as a rock!!! The competition in that business is very high and there are many many choices.

Since then I have discovered that they have been overcharging me and others for yrs. I kind of knew that already but I am a loyal customer and don't mind paying extra for service. This guy Greg came off as Mr. Friendly. I warn you. Don't get fooled or sucked into this act, he is a liar!!! Finally, I sent an email to Meineke to complain and never received an email or phone call from anyone even though I provided both... Figures. Believe me I will bad mouth Meineke for the rest of my life and every chance I get to tell anyone who needs their car repaired or I hear anyone talking about getting their car fixed... guess what I will tell them?

When I had cancer of the nasal pharynx, I took my car to Meineke on Spartanburg Hwy in Hendersonville, NC. I thought the brakes were bad but I was told everything was bad and needed replacing. It was to the point that I was told not to even drive my car anywhere else. That the calipers would fail. They were so worn and punch through causing brake failure altogether. If I weren't in such a bad condition from the cancer, the radiation, and the chemotherapy, I would have said ** and gone somewhere else. So I agreed to let them do the job. The estimate came to about a thousand bucks. "OMG, are you serious," I said. "Can we get it down?" He, Rich (part owner) said, "You can get it down by buying some parts at the Advance Store on Hwy 64." Bring it down to about eight hundred dollars. So I bought the calipers at the Advance Store. The only stipulation was that Meineke would not warranty the parts or service of those parts.

So I had the rotors, calipers, and discs replaced all round on four wheels. When I got the car the Emergency brake would not work and Rich said, "Just bring it back and we'll fix it." I did and it wasn't fixed. I believe they just rolled it into the garage, kept it in there a while and brought it back out doing nothing to it. My emergency brake didn't work at all. Period. Eight hundred dollars and my emergency brake doesn't even work.

I have been sick with the cancer and haven't driven the car a hundred miles. Now that I am well, I wanted to drive the car. I got a car registration from the North Carolina DMV to have it renewed. I needed a car inspection in order to get my car registration. So I took it down to Jiffy Lube to get my car inspected. My brakes wouldn't hold on a slight incline and still the emergency brake won't hold at all. It wouldn't pass inspection. So I took it to Meineke to get that emergency brake fixed. Kept it from Friday to Monday and told me they tightened the brake but the car would roll just pushing it with your hand. NO BRAKES AT ALL.

Rich, the part owner said it was probably defective calipers and that wasn't covered and it wasn't his problem. The calipers were brand new. "Defective," Rich said B.S., he just wanted more money to fix something I had paid him eight hundred dollars to fix in the first place. If it was defective, the mechanic would have surely noticed it when installing the part. Any good and reputable mechanic!!

So I am going to have to take it to another brake place to just get my car fixed in order to get my car inspected and a registration in order to drive my car. Rich, really didn't care. It's my problem now. It is curious that the part that he said was the problem that he would not warranty was from the Advance Store. This is my take. They, Meineke didn't use the calipers from Advance on my car but used them on another car and kept my old calipers on my car instead. That way, Meineke can bill for two cars at the same time using the parts I bought from the Advance Store. Clever.

Had I not been in a weakened state, I would not have never let Meineke work on my car. I believe Meineke Preys on the weak, the unknowable and those whom they can nuke money out of. They are without conscience and morality. My review is that they are terrible. They overcharge, they make money off of people who do not know any better. They are UNCONSCIONABLE.

On 4/3/13 I went to Meineke Care Center in Enfield CT inquiring about the reason of a check engine light on a Chrysler Pacifica. The manager checked the code P0420 with a scanner and without doing additional testing told me that I needed a new Catalytic Converter (part # AP 4298). He insisted that I needed the more expensive available for my vehicle because according to him I needed a direct fit converter. He also offered a new muffler because according to him it was broken. I asked him if it was required and he answered that the converter will work with the existing muffler nevertheless. I told him that it was out of my general budget to replace the muffler as well. Finally they replace the catalytic converter only.

The check engine light was erased and I was able to inspect the car on the same year 2013. According to the manufacturer warranty (AP Exhaust Technologies) the converter had a 5-year/50,000 mile warranty on converter body and 25,000-mile warranty on emissions. On the summer of 2015 the check engine light turned on again and I went to AutoZone to find what was the code found. They told me the code was P0420 which was the same code found when Meineke replace the converter. Immediately after I brought the car to Meineke since I knew that the part was under warranty. They put the car in the lift and they finally told me that the muffler needed to be replaced and that, was the reason of the code. I told them that the code was not showing any muffler fail and that the car was initially repaired with the same muffler. I disagreed with the technician and left.

I went to several mechanics months ahead: Demore's Automotive in Palmer MA, Jet Auto Service in East Longmeadow MA, and Pro Auto Services in Indian Orchard MA. The three car repair shops diagnosed the issue and they told me that the catalytic converter failed and that I should go back to Meineke for replacement since I have the part under warranty.

I haven't been able to inspect my car since 2016. I have been in Meineke several times more and they always tell me the muffler was the reason of the check engine light. They even gave me without asking an estimate for the muffler in November 5th, 2016 ($555.53). For that reason I decided to replace the muffler going to another repair shop and with the intention of demonstrating Meineke that they were wrong. Of course the check engine light turned on again after driving the car for about a week.

On February 3rd 2017 I went back to Meineke decided to get my new catalytic converter since it was still under warranty. I spoke with Ipke ** the same person who sold me the part on 2013. He saw the new muffler I just replaced. Then he told me they were going to check the converter. Then they put the car on the lift to inspect the part. They claimed that the catalytic converter was "clogged" and that was the reason it was showing the code. They even showed an example of a clogged converter which I am attaching in this form. They insisted it won't be covered under warranty and if I would like a new one I would need to pay for the repair. They let me take pictures of the converter and NO clog was present. I am attaching pictures I took during that day.

They also told me rudely that even if the part was replaceable I would have to pay for the labor in the case they replace it under warranty (that was not the case). I told them that it was unfair to even get charge for a warranty repair that should have taken place over a year ago. After that and without any resolution from Meineke, I left with my Chrysler Pacifica with a rejection sticker. I feel strongly that Meineke should be fair and honor the warranty of the very expensive part which has a warranty of 5 years/ 50,000 miles, and 25,000 miles warranty on emission.

I do have other estimate of all AC system replacement was 1100 with compressor and condenser and other hose repair, Freon and labor cost. They sent coupon of $150 that's why we hold the work. When job done they did not replace the compressor and said the deduction is only when you applies our credit card. When I ask them "you did not replace the compressor," they did not give satisfactory answer. I showed the other estimate. Is a FRAUD COMPANY. JUST MAKING MONEY WITH NO WORK.

On November 23, 2015 I had my AC condenser go out and went to Meineke in Deland, where I have had my KIA serviced many times. I really thought I could trust going to Meineke because the Management was a Veteran and would look out for one of their own. (My husband who died a service connect death.) I am also disabled from a severe spine injury! I do not make a lot of money to live on each month! I am so upset that I was taken and scammed/ripped off by Meineke in Deland that I cannot even go into that place without fear of losing my temper and freaking out on the management & if that sorry mechanic that took advantage of a woman!

I had my AC stop working and I knew what it was, it was my condenser and sure enough it was. I knew it would cost about $1000.00 repair while there for this repair I thought I would do my maintenance too. I buy only the best oil to put in my vehicle! I use Valvoline Synthetic only which cost me about and extra $50.00 plus cost of oil change!

The mechanic came back in shaking his head and said I had major problems. He took me outside to see my engine and said "not only is your AC condenser out but you have a blown head gasket!" Showed me some oil around a few bolts on the side of engine I could see due to engine cover. (Now I know what I seen was fresh oil placed there, it was not old oil not only that there is no leakage of oil that would be on my engine.) I also park my KIA inside a garage with a large white carpet ruminate as to keep an eye on any kind of fluid leak - a trick my father taught me!

There has been no fluids leaking on that rug, I never lost any oil, never over heated, my spark plugs had no moisture in them - it was a pure scam! I actually got viciously ripped off and person who is on SSA and VA/DIC and it is not a lot of money! Shame on this type of horrific discrimination towards women and mechanics using this to take advantage of!

I only drive my KIA maybe once a week if that! I take good care of it and it's a 2003 with only 75000K miles on it, yes it is under 100K! I always keep up maintenance and have taken great care of my KIA and I drive it carefully. I am not a motorhead that would race it about! Not only was I mislead, lied too costing me over $2200.00 repairs, the mechanic left all kinds of hand tools in my engine! He did not even bother to tighten back the pulley at which caused it to snap and wrap my serpentine belt all around the front of my engine!

I was left stranded and remember I am disabled with a spine injury! I did have my friend that is a mechanic, he takes it to their shop and he was stunned at such sloppy work and in fact confirmed I had been ripped off! I have photos of the serpentine belt and invoice dated Jan. 29, 2016! Remember I do not drive my KIA a lot or it would have happened much sooner! And if one of those hand tools would have been tossed up in fan or other areas of my engine it would have also caused more damage!

I checked my oil in January and knew it was not the oil I had purchased separately for it was a nasty black cheap oil vs my *Valvoline Synthetic that does not turn black like that! I was ripped off on my good oil too. I checked my air pressure in my tires too and that mechanic had lowered all my tires to 25psi! Told me soon I would need tires lol, well I guess so running them at almost 10psi under their required psi per tire! I am now wondering what else they have done to my engine, because the manager claimed "oh you have an air leak but don't worry it is nothing that will put you on the side of the road!" Lol. Really thanks for that one but your mechanic's sloppy work did in fact put me on the side of the road! My check engine light is on now at 75879 miles on it after Meineke worked on it. (My next schedule maintenance is 78998 per Meineke, this shows you the miles are very few that I have put on my KIA since Nov 23, 2015.)

I am now addressing this horrible rip off with the website of Meineke to see what type of answer or acknowledgement I will receive. Shame on all of you at Meineke for ripping off people, doing sloppy work leaving a disabled woman on the side of the road and stealing money from me too for lying about the unnecessary work done on my KIA! I am wondering if I even have a new head gasket or not, if I do not I am not just going to end with this letter. Yes, I finally stood up for myself and addressing this!

Images are of the pulley and the belt. You can clearly see pulley in photo and what a sloppy job that left me on the side of the road! Now that my check engine light is on, yes what else did they do to my engine while doing a sloppy job on head gasket, no telling what else was left inside my engine due to what all hand tools that were left on the outside of my engine! I just thought I should step up as to prevent anyone going to the Meineke in Deland, FL!

On July 7, I experienced a road emergency, and that is the reason I came into Meineke for service. The temperature gauge in my 2002 Volvo V70 XC registered hot (completely to the far right) for a time and then slowly moved all the way left to cold (as if the car had never even been turned on). I was on 83N at the time and took the first exit I came to, which was Falls Road. Meineke was the first automotive shop I saw. When I pulled into Meineke, I was met by the Acting Manager (Mgr), who raised the hood and immediately noticed that the coolant reservoir was bone dry. Coolant had been topped off about two weeks earlier (before a road trip), so it should not have been empty. Provided below is a synopsis of the events that followed.

July 7 The assessment of Mgr was that there was an obvious coolant leak somewhere. Further, he determined that the radiator had a split in it (which he showed me) and that it required replacement. His position was that once the radiator was replaced, there would be no more leaking. I specifically asked if they felt comfortable working on Volvos. I have encountered automotive garages where the preference was to not service Volvos (lacking the necessary expertise). I was advised that they were perfectly comfortable working on my vehicle. Given that, I gave consent to repair my vehicle. The location of this Meineke shop is in an area of the city with which I was totally unfamiliar, and since my car was being kept overnight for repair, I was stranded. I was finally able to contact a family member to pick me up to take me home.

July 8 I arrived at Meineke at around 5:30 PM to pick up my vehicle. The car was ready at about 6 PM. I paid my bill of $984.80 and left the shop. At ~6:10 PM (on my way home from work), my vehicle started to lose power. I'm depressing the gas pedal, and the car is slowing. Then, the car loses power steering, the dash panel completely lights up before going dark, and then the car completely shut down and would not restart. Again, I was in an area unfamiliar to me.

I called the Mgr immediately to report that my car was experiencing problems I did not have before going to Meineke, which was obvious to him as well. Quite clearly, with the exception of the tear in the radiator, there were no other problematic issues with the vehicle before this point. The Mgr told me he spoke with the mechanic who worked on my car, but that the mechanic had no explanation for the problems I was having and, therefore, assumed neither responsibility nor interest.

Mgr called for a tow truck who advised they would not be able to come out to my location for at least 90 minutes. Given all this, again I asked if they are comfortable working on a Volvo; Mgr said yes. Soon thereafter, the Mgr came out to see if he could assist. After briefly examining my car, Mgr surmised that the turbo had not been reconnected correctly. Mgr affected the repair using a screwdriver at curbside, and then followed me home to make sure I was safe.

August 20 Until this date, I had no reason to look under the hood of my car (following the radiator replacement). However, I took my vehicle to my regular mechanic for its planned 135,000-mile maintenance check and a great many issues became apparent. Immediately upon their lifting the hood, I was asked who replaced the radiator. Virtually all of the equipment (hoses) that needed to be removed to replace the radiator was misaligned and/or loose. And, the coolant reservoir again was bone dry. There is a leak somewhere that is not in the radiator.

I was advised by both my mechanic and another local mechanic that when they are researching the source of a leak, in both cases, their practice is to pressure-test the hoses to confirm that the exact location of the leak(s) has been found and corrected, so that any hoses that require replacement can be addressed that time. (I have since been advised that some shops automatically replace all hoses if they have to replace the radiator.) Clearly, Meineke does no such thing or they would have realized that there is a leak somewhere in the system not just that the radiator required replacement. My mechanic filled the coolant reservoir with water and suggested I immediately revisit Meineke. My mechanic said it would be unethical for him to take payment from me to effect a repair that Meineke has already been paid to make.

August 21 As of this writing, I have had to add coolant/water to my vehicle every day because of an apparent leak. In closing, I expect Meineke to give immediate attention to the repair of my vehicle (again, since you have already been paid well to do that) and replenish my coolant. I took and forwarded photos taken to illustrate my issues with Meineke. Should Meineke be incapable of correcting this work, then I will expect a refund so that I can secure the services of trusted reputable mechanics. I could not be more displeased with any established company. Very poor customer service. Both the BBB and the Attorney General's Office will receive copies of my formal written complaint to Meineke.

I guess they decided they don't like people driving through the lot which area residents have been doing for years so they block the entrances with cones and vehicles and if you accidentally drive on the lot which happened to me, they come out and confront you! Really? It's not life or death. It may not be a drive through but it doesn't disrupt their business in any way, get a life! It's a reality for the area, get used to it, long before they moved in. It's not good relations for the community, should have thought of that before the renovations. Maybe post signs but don't be rude.

I love the Meineke here in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The first time I went there I was having my air conditioning looked at. Turns out my compressor went out. It was going to cost over $1500.00 to fix. The mechanic told me right off and said it is not worth it to put a new one in the car. My old car was a piece of crap. Barely running. I was already looking for a new one anyways. Well I ended up buying a new car. And I have taken it to the Meineke here in Tulsa to have oil changes on it several times. I drive it a lot. About 1200 miles a month. I decided I wanted to get several things checked on it and repaired. I gave them a list of things. Brakes, transmission flush, radiator flush, belts. I was willing to have all the things done that needed to be done.

Being a woman most mechanics will tell you that you need things done to your car you don't. Not this Meineke. I was willing to pay for all these things done. They came back and told me that everything look great. There was no point in having things repaired that did not need to be done. I had just got my tax refund back so I was willing to pay $5000.00 if need be. I know they knew it was tax refund season. Point being out of all of the things I wanted to have done. The only thing I had done was a transmission flush. Which they said I did not need. But I had it done because I wanted to. And I got an oil change. I think that is so awesome that they were so honest when they could have ripped me off. They chose to tell me truth. And they gave me a discount on my transmission flush. I will never take my Daisy Mae (car) to another dealership. Thank You so much Meineke in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Recently I visited the Sunridge Heights location in Henderson, Nevada. I had just purchased a 1993 Isuzu Rodeo with 62,000 verified miles. I had checked all fluids on the vehicle and they were full. In fact, I thoroughly checked the trans fluid 3 times and found it to be clear and free of grit. I felt the car was not shifting as it should and the "check trans fluid" light was staying on a little too long. With 62K on it, I felt that there was probably nothing seriously wrong with the transmission, so I took it there to check the charging system, a weak alternator or battery can cause this.

Meineke performed a complete inspection of the car, which to their credit, I was not charged for. The inspection, however, revealed a "bad transmission and shifter", (due to metal particles in the fluid, how did they discover that without considerable labor which they would have charged for?), bad valve cover gaskets, and power steering pump. I had not noticed any of those conditions when I looked under the hood myself. I then added Sea Foam Transmission Tune to the fluid (cost $12.00) and drove the car, shifted perfectly, no light! What a wonderful alternative to a $4,300 transmission rebuild by them! Simply a-MAAAzing. This additive has been around for 75 years, but was conveniently not suggested by Meineke.

I just sold the car to an experienced transmission rebuilder who said he would take it even if there were any transmission problems - it was an extra vehicle for me, and I had purchased it for a terrific price. At this time, he has no plans to rebuild the transmission and shifter, power steering pump, or valve cover gaskets that Meineke discovered. I know that this owner has at least 2 other shops in Las Vegas, so maybe he is getting a wee bit hungry, if you know what I mean. In addition, my wife hit an obstruction in the road, damaging the suspension of our Acura MDX, and had it towed to one of his shops in an emergency. Long story short, the Acura dealer stated that the repair work was done improperly or not at all. Bye bye $1000. It is possible that down the road, those items could show up, but in the new owner's opinion, there is nothing wrong with the vehicle. I will not use Meineke again for so much as an oil change.

In a matter of a month both of my tires were completely bald and the left tire got a flat. I took it back in to Meineke on Metcalf and he said that it wasn't anything wrong that they did, it was just that my "control arm" was damaged and needed replaced. They told me this without even looking at the car. I just had a weird feeling that these guys were not trustworthy, so I took my car to O'Neill Honda so they could look at it and figure out why my tires wore out in a matter of weeks.

After looking at it the O'Neill guys told me that the control arm was just fine and the tie rod was put in incorrectly. They said that without a doubt the person who put the tie rod would have known the correct way to put it in and did it in a way that would cause the tires to wear out very fast. Of course I went in to see if they would make matters right, and all they had were excuses and then they tried to tell me I still needed the control arm fixed even though it had just been cleared at O'Neill Honda. If there was an option to give store 2006 no stars I would. It is a sad day when you have to call the police to have a center release your vehicle to you. I have had nothing but problems since being forced to drop my vehicle off here. The staff is unfriendly and was of no help. After calling several times asking had they even began work on my vehicle, I was asked to not contact them anymore. Keep in mind this location still had my property and had not performed any work for over a week. The manager proceeds to tell me he will not be contacting me, the owner of the vehicle but instead would only speak with my wife. My wife is not even listed on the title!!! I was never informed from any staff at Meineke that my car was even ready to be picked up. Once I make it to the shop and go to pay, they tell me they have to verify that the car in fact belongs to me because the signature on the title didn't match.

They were never presented with a title to begin with and never asked me for any identification. When I asked for their corporate number, business ID, store number, any information I was told they didn't have any of that because they are a franchise. It took me having to call the local police for them to even take my payment and finally have them release the car to me. I will never do business with any of your locations. The most incompetent staff I have EVER dealt with. I will never take my business to any Meineke. I will let everyone know how big of a joke this was and how you do not value your customers!!

3 weeks ago I took my car to Meineke because it was overheating. They quoted me $800 for the repair on Frankford Ave. They then stated that they did not have all parts and could only fix the top section of the hose system that was needed. They did and told me to come back Monday. My car didn't make sure to Monday and I had to have it towed to the dealership. The dealership had to replace the same hoses that were done at Meineke 2 weeks prior. They installed the wrong hose system. When I called to ask for a refund or speak with the manager they told me I couldn't and yelled at me and hung up on me saying I refused the other services. I called corporate, my lawyer and the better business bureau. If this is not resolved and I do not get a refund I will be filing a lawsuit against them as well as a racial and gender discrimination suit for the way I was treated and spoken to.

My husband I had a horrible experience at the Meineke on 34th St in Caldwell. It started with the front desk guy giving me attitude because I didn't have a physical coupon for the 14.95 deal they were offering when it was being offered on the window of their store. He told me the process of the oil change and after going back out to get my wallet rudely said I couldn't pay until after the oil change was finished. Then to top it off my husband went inside and told him there wasn't any need for him to treat me the way he did. They literally pulled our car around and kicked us out of their store without doing our oil change. So much disrespectful behavior. I was appalled. We will never be returning to any Meineke location and will warn anyone we know about this company. Absolutely uncalled for!

I went to Meineke for inspection because of the special going on for $39.67. I did not expect to be quoted $556.30 for parts that failed my safety inspection. When I told them I'll get a second opinion they turned from very nice to hostile and the guy was laughing and embarrassing me in front of customers. His demeanor was very mean and kept pushing me to get work done there. They do not treat their customers with kindness unless you get ripped off and pay for their service. The reason I feel ripped off is I want to double check if those parts belonged to my car. I get all the work done from my dealership.

Another issue I have is why do I have to pay their regular price for each inspection when there is a special going on. They made me pay the regular price for the emissions test which came to $31.42 and he told me the next time I will have to pay for safety inspection which is $18.00 and additional $6.00 for sticker. Why is it that I am charged regular prices? How do I get charged regular inspection prices when they are running a special for inspection? I will never go to Meineke again! I will never recommend this place to anyone!

Do not take your car to this Meineke!! Learn from my horrible experiences!! Inexperienced “mechanics” damaged my car and owner Rob refuses to pay for repair!! Read for whole story! The first time I took a car to Meineke for an oil change, they failed to put my oil cap back on and did nothing to make the situation better for me. I stupidly kept going there after they got some new “mechanics”. This last oil change with them will be my last. My car operated just fine before taking it in for an oil change; afterwards it made a loud clunking sound from the rear of the car.

I took it back the next morning and asked if they had taken my wheels off during the oil change. The person working said that the “mechanic” who had worked on my car wasn’t in yet, and when he came into work they would find out; it obviously wasn’t important enough to warrant calling him and I was too nice to demand they do that. After having my car for 5 hours without calling to update me, I called to find out that not only were they claiming that they had not removed my wheels during the oil change, but they had proceeded to take them off that day without calling for my permission first. To my horror we also found out that they had dropped a lug stud into my drum and attempted to remove my drum brakes, which they could not do.

When we went to pick my car up they showed my husband that they had tried removing the drum with a pulley, and when that had not worked they had tried hammering on it many times to dislodge it. I demanded they take my car off their lift, and my husband had to wait over 30 minutes while the mechanic struggled with the simple task of putting my wheel back on. I will never know what they did to my car the first time they had it, but on this visit they damaged my car while incorrectly attempting to take my brake drum off.

I got my car out of there and I took it to Les Schwab’s where they diagnosed that the lost lug stud may have been the cause of the loud clunking sound (which if it was the cause, proves that Meineke did indeed take my wheels off during my oil change, then they lied about it). They also diagnosed that my drum had been excessively hammered on, warping the wheel mounting surface, and that the spindle had also been damaged by what looked to be a pulley being used while not properly centered causing a divot in the top left of the spindle. Lucky for Meineke that was able to be fixed with a file. When my husband called and spoke with the owner of this location, Rob, he sounded as if he doubted what Les Schwab was saying and that he would covered the cost of the drum but that was it. I wouldn’t accept that so I called Meineke “customer service”. I had to file my complaint then wait for an agent to call me back.

I found the agent who called, Leah, very rude and unsympathetic. Leah informed me that this Meineke is a privately owned franchise and she couldn’t actually do anything to make the owner pay for the damage his “mechanic” had done to my car, so all she was doing was playing mediator. She told me she spoke with Rob who said that drum brakes can’t be damaged from the outside (which is false) and that he would only pay $150 for the drum. I told her I expected him to pay for not only the drum but for the labor and two other parts that would not have needed to be replaced if not for the drum having to be replaced, which came to a total of $293.15. After waiting several business day without hearing back, I had to call myself to find out that Rob, the owner, is refusing to pay the total bill.

In August of 2015, I took my perfectly running car into the local Meineke for a routine oil change. Within a week, a warning light came on informing me the engine was not getting oil. Because the engine was overfull on oil, I immediately doubted the capabilities of the shop (it says very clearly, do not overfill!), so I had it towed to a reputable import shop to have it looked at. Not only was the oil overfilled by three quarts, there was no oil filter in the filter housing. The result was a damaged engine. Meineke will not own up to their mistakes and it looks like I will have to take the matter to court to settle the dispute. Bottom line, I took in a perfectly functioning 2007 Volvo S60 R, and because of the shoddy and incompetent work, I now have a ruined engine and a car sitting in storage waiting for a new engine (while I continue to make car payments).

Additionally, Meineke made no attempt to contact me after I sent my complaint letter to them. They have responded to a BBB complaint (because as members they have to), but they still deny culpability. Apparently Meineke, as a brand, once trusted as a nationwide chain to which we could all take our vehicles, has gone down the tubes with customer care. Somewhere along the line, they took the shady route to make their money. I can see on the complaint websites that I am not the only one who has had a terrible experience with Meineke.

This is going to be really a long story. If you have so much money and don't know how to spend and if you have a good running car, please visit Meineke Morrisville. You don't need to do anything. Just take the car to them, rest they will take care. My very good running Toyota Solara, was taken there for routine oil change, and believe it, I spent 1700$ for just getting my check engine light on. Yes you read it right. There was no check engine light issue before I took my car there. They did some oil change - don't know if they did or not, then they have some list of fixes costing 1700$ and then kept the car for two days and gave back. The lights came up.

I posted similar review everywhere in the internet. The Meineke manager called and asked me to remove the review and told me that he will fix everything, and then comes the catch. He said some wire was not fixed properly and then told my brake boosters are losing power and he will change it for free. Note that it never had issue earlier. I fell for the trap and he took my good running Toyota brake booster and replaced with a worn brake booster. But eventually it started giving issue after 6 months. Now I'm getting gushing noise while applying brakes from the dashboard. I'm going to Toyota to fix it. Seriously, if you have soooooo much of money and want to ruin your car, please go there. I actually lost my car. It is a sentimental icon for me so I'm not selling it. And trying to get it fixed. Please don't believe and fall for whatever Meineke is saying... CAUTION CAUTION.

The price is different on the website. When I got there it was higher. Very unfriendly. Not much to do if you have to wait on your car.

Hey, the water's pouring out. Hey, they screwed me out of $330. I have notified DMV Fraud, Nevada Attorney General, Las Vegas auto Fraud. These guys at the Sunridge Henderson is a con job. This is the opinion of both me and my car. My car is mad at me. Wants to know why I took it to these incompetents.

When I told them they had over 1000 complaints, I was told that they have over 20,000 customers so what's 1000. I realize the complaints are for all Meineke's. But most people don't get as pissed as me and the other 1000 people that take the time to write this stuff.

Writing this is Mark ** for my son Derek. I paid for this and I'm pissed and will go to every TV news station. And I will have a permit to picket on the sidewalk in front of the store. I work too hard for $300. I also hate the thought of the two guys sitting at the front counter laughing about screwing another one. I was purchasing a used vehicle and barely made it into this Meineke shop with my 80-year-old mom in law driving my car following me back to Maine. Scott and Heidi were pleasant & helpful and made a point to "fit us in" to see if they could identify the problem with my newly purchased car. They found the problem, fixed it and within an hour on the road we went only to go about five miles when the same issue arose again. Back we went and immediately back in went the vehicle with the sun ready to set! Scott continued to work on the problem and kept my car there until I could return to retrieve it! He even deducted labor costs as he was ultimately unable to resolve it, but assisted with locating dealership who has it on road now! I wish I was a local of Merrimack, NH as Scott & Heidi EARNED my business! Thanks guys again.

My car was acting funny and I wanted to take it on a long trip so I asked a former friend where to go and he recommended Meineke in Missoula. So I spent 2300 for a bunch of stuff and two months later had to take it back for an oil leak which was unrelated to the things they'd done before and so spent another 80 bucks on having them fix that. So then another month or two later I notice another oil leak and take it back in and this time they say, "It's some kind of gasket," and the fix will cost me 500.

So now I'm leaning toward not trusting Meineke ya know? So I take the car to someone I should have found in the first place but did not. He looked over everything and told me it looked like they'd done the work they said but that he or just about any other place in town could have done everything they had for around 800. Nice, right? So that was my 1580.00 lesson for the day. I hope that you can benefit from my experience and take your car anywhere but here. I'm very sad to have to write this as the people there seemed so nice. Not cool man.

They told me I would get a free oil change today because I was a veteran. I filled out a form showing the balance of the bill would be $0.00. When I returned to pick up the car, they had two air filters sitting on the counter and told me it would be a cost of $6411 to have those filters replaced. If I didn't want them replaced, they would have to take the time to put them back in my car and they wouldn't charge me in that case. I paid up and left as soon as possible and will not go back there again.

I brought my Mazda6 Station Wagon to this Meineke auto mechanic shop in Manchester NH for an inspection. I had a lot of problem during the inspection. First thing first, I need to change all my tire. I think change tire is necessary so I changed it. Another issue was I had a problem with catalytic converter and I need to change it and the price was around $2800 and I just bought my car for $2500. So I go to another auto shop with temporary sticker from Meineke. I fix and inspect my car for less than $600 and received my inspection sticker. I spend more than one month to do some research about catalytic converter from part, labor price and others. In my opinion Meineke tried to get money from people who doesn't know about car or engine.

Took vehicle to store #1969. They assured me that they could repair it. $1600 was quoted. They had the truck for 3 weeks and the price went up to $2700. Then they said engine needed replacing $3000 plus labor plus original engine repair of $2700. I filed a complaint at local and headquarters then filed complaint with bbb. They still have ignored me. They towed the truck to my home, not running.
