About Everything Breaks Auto Warranties

Everything Breaks sells auto, home and electronics warranties. Everything Breaks auto warranties offer multiple levels of coverage that can help you pay for repairs when your car breaks down, and they have several atypical features that separate them from other vehicle service contracts.

Pros
  • Offers auto, home and electronics warranties
  • Has an unconventional, low-cost option
Cons
  • Does not include pricing on the website
  • All plans are not available nationwide

Our editor’s take

Everything Breaks has several interesting features, and its transparent pricing makes it convenient to compare the cost of an Everything Breaks plan to the competition. However, at the time of publishing, we only have a few consumer reviews, so you should take all the information into consideration before determining if this is the right option for you.

How does Everything Breaks work?

All of the company’s auto warranties have a 1-month and 1,000-mile waiting period before you can submit a claim. This is common for car warranties. After your waiting period has passed, you can bring your car to any ASE-certified mechanic or dealer when you have a covered failure.

Once your mechanic diagnoses the issue and estimates the repair costs, the shop has to call Everything Breaks’ claims department to get authorization before starting any repairs. (If it’s an emergency repair, then you have to call the company the next day so it can determine if you’re eligible for reimbursement.)

If your repair is approved, Everything Breaks pays the shop directly, and you’ll only owe the deductible listed on page one of your contract. (In the company’s sample contract, the deductible is $100.)

You can cancel your plan anytime by calling the company or visiting your online customer portal.

Everything Breaks plans

Everything Breaks offers five levels of extended auto warranty coverage:

  1. Critical Coverage
  2. Standard Powertrain
  3. Enhanced Powertrain
  4. Deluxe
  5. Top Line

Unlike most extended car warranties, the unconventional Critical Coverage plan is more like an enhanced roadside assistance membership that adds guaranteed 50% coverage for mechanical repair costs. Note that Critical Coverage repairs are limited to $500 per occurrence, up to a maximum of $2,000 in a 12-month period.

Meanwhile, the company’s other protection plans cover the full cost of repairing certain parts across your car’s component groups, including its:

  • Engine
  • Transmission
  • Drive axle
  • Air conditioning and heating
  • Suspension
  • Steering
  • Cooling
  • Fuel system
  • Transfer case
  • Brakes
  • Electrical system
  • Seals and gaskets
  • Hybrid system

All of Everything Breaks’ plans also come with 24/7 roadside assistance, which includes:

  • Towing assistance
  • Fuel, oil and fluid deliveries
  • Flat tire assistance
  • Winching assistance
  • Lockout assistance
  • Battery jump-starts
  • A $1,000 theft reward
  • Emergency money
  • Exclusive deals
  • Expert assistance

All plans except Critical Coverage provide additional benefits, such as rental car reimbursements ($30 per day for up to five days) if you need a rental while your car is in the shop. Additionally, these plans are also transferable, meaning they follow the vehicle if you sell it to someone else.

Everything Breaks prices

Everything Breaks does not list its prices on its website. You'll have to call to learn more about the plans and get a customized quote.

I have spent hours on the phone waiting to be assisted, only to receive little to no resolution. On top of that, I have been waiting weeks for payment that should have already been processed, and despite multiple requests, I have waited days for a manager to return my call with no response.

Timeline of Events: I was a customer of Everything Breaks for about a year, making consistent monthly payments without issue until I was suddenly told I owed money. On April 12, 2026, I called Everything Breaks to request turning off auto-pay since the payments were being taken before the due date (due on the 16th). Despite this, on April 13, they took an unauthorized payment of $94. After that, I was told a refund request was sent to a manager, but it would take 5 to 7 business days. Despite multiple calls, no progress was made. On April 30, 2026, a representative (Jose) admitted the auto-pay was off, but still took money. Other reps gave conflicting amounts owed—one said $4, another said two months from July 2025, and so on.

After reviewing, one billing rep confirmed I owed nothing. I requested a manager, a refund receipt, a copy of my contract, and a written note clarifying what I owed. I received no documentation except a copy of the contract. I sent an email on May 2, 2026, requesting all records: the full contract, payment history, and internal notes. On May 5, they replied, saying the July 2025 payment was initially declined, and two payments were applied in February 2026, which caused confusion. They claimed the final payment was April 13, but they still tried to charge my card multiple times after that.

Contradictions: Despite being told payments were applied in February, they still attempted repeated unauthorized charges on April 29. Jose (and others) no record of these attempts was noted, except by Amy. I was explicitly told not to close the account until the refund was resolved, but the company closed it on May 1 without my consent. There is also a one star review I've written on Trust Pilot Under Reggie ** with company response that gives a lot more info on how shady this company is with customers.

Don’t trust this company, because they don’t tell you the truth about their policies of what they cover, they said transmission was covered but it wasn’t covered. Then when I wanted to cancel policy. They tell me I have to pay $75.00 to cancel the policy. Then they said read your contract and I told them I didn’t receive contract for two to three weeks after I bought the policy.

Customer service is horrible. They only worry and reinforce the policy. No goodwill service or solutions. Never take any responsibility and can’t solve an issue. Will out you stress and many calls to get nowhere. They give you locations and the places reject you due to non payment from the company or rejected claims so they will not honor the contract with Everything Breaks. Also they give you locations that do not service the vehicles for the kind of repair.. They also will cancel your account for paying 2 months at one time. Then you have to prove you paid to get reinstated. Then the director is the only one that can find the payment in the system. So sad. Piss poor customer service!

I will erase this or amend it when I finally get my money returned. Last call was, I hadn't requested it. What really I never used your product and you're NOT going to do an immediate return???

The claims process is ridiculous for a company of the size. I took my Jeep in at 4:30 for a brake or caliper issue. The next day I get a call at 10:00 a.m. for some follow-up questions. The customer service agent told me to be up to 24 hours for the adjusters to contact Midas with their decision. Meanwhile no car. I'm stuck 200 miles away from home. They only pay $75 of insurance to cover any cost assuming they'll accept it. This extreme delay is unacceptable. From all the other reviews that I read this is a systematic problem with this company. If if this is the way it is I'm assuming that they're making it so difficult for people to file claims they just don't.

My elderly mother purchased a vehicle service policy from a company called Everything Breaks. She paid her monthly premiums as required. When her vehicle needed repairs, the company denied coverage because she did not have an oil change done by a “licensed maintenance facility” during the eight months she owned the vehicle.

This requirement was never made clear at the time of purchase. Most people perform oil changes themselves or use small local shops that are not “licensed facilities.” The company’s refusal to cover repairs seems like an unfair and deceptive practice — taking money for a policy but then using unreasonable technicalities to deny legitimate claims.

Strongly Not Recommended – Poor Claims Process. As an automotive repair facility, we have had a frustrating experience with this auto repair warranty company. We attempted to submit a claim on behalf of our customer multiple times, but after waiting on hold for over 40 minutes, no one answered. This has happened on several occasions over the past few days.

Additionally, the claim adjusters are unresponsive, making the entire process difficult and time-consuming. A reliable warranty company should provide timely support and communication, but unfortunately, that has not been our experience. We do not recommend this warranty provider for anyone who expects smooth and professional claim handling.

My original plan date was Jan. 13th 2025 and they have my plan starting today Feb.13th which makes another 30 days after I have already got most of the 1000 miles, I want this fixed now or I will be canceling this plan. I am not going to start the 30 process over again after I have already got most of the miles. This is ridiculous, no one has money to waste these days. I have made my 2nd payment as of today also.
