Staff were friendly and all that. No problems there. I purchased a starter for my truck two days ago and it said that it met all vehicle specs. (Most non-fitting/conforming parts will show online.) I received no message stating that this part would not fit. (And it's hard to tell because my starter is inside the intake manifold.) Obviously after already opening my engine up and removing the old starter it was clearly not a match. I inevitably had to go purchase a starter from O'Reilly's, and return the one that was incorrect. I don't see how their website not providing correct information means that I'm now almost 300$ in the hole and have to wait multiple days to get my money back. They're essentially holding my money all because of their website not working properly.

Very frustrating and I don't have the luxury of working out endless money like this and could use that money to put food on the table for my wife. Returned parts should be met with returned money. Period. The system here sucks and having to wait so long for money that is rightfully mine just means that I will most likely discontinue my purchases with AutoZone and use strictly Advanced Auto and O'Reilly's.

I've been purchasing parts from AutoZone for 40 years because they have a lifetime warranty and I keep my vehicles for a long time. Today I tried to get one and was told that I have no warranty on that part and as a matter of fact that I have NO warranty on anything in the system. With the purchase of starter, alternator, ball joints, CV joints, struts along with a few more nothing is covered unless I find the original receipt. If I have to keep all of that then why do they need all of my information to put it in a file for them to keep? Called corporate office and they said nothing they can do unless I find the receipt on all of the parts.

Just amazing that not only the one part I was trying to warranty was not in there but that I have never purchased anything from them before. Buyer beware and keep your own file if you decide to purchase from them. Staff wasn't helpful or friendly either. Couldn't get them to test if it was my battery or alternator having the problem. Had to drive across the street to O'Reilly's and they were more than happy to check for me.

I am not happy with this place. I bought a new manifold catalytic converter in Nov 2023 and in Oct 2025 it went bad. AutoZone did replace it for me at the time and was great but they did not have the original one available so they replaced it with a different one and I thought all was great but I was wrong. It is Feb 2026 and the new one broke all apart and this time all the inside of it went straight into my other car and ruined it but autozone said there was nothing they can do about the other one but they did replace the one that we bought not even 6 months ago which is a good thing.

The other one we had to come out of our pockets for even though it was their product that destroyed it. I don't think that is right at all. Customer service is great but standing behind their products is bull crap. This is the 3rd one in 2 years and it has nothing to do with my car. When I replaced the car back in 2023 I got a new engine at the same time so their product is junk and I don't think they handled the situation right. I will not be buying from them anymore!!

The online system is a joke. I orders items to do my oil change and I was all set got my online discount and picked free delivery. Then day two I got a notice that they didn’t have oil I wanted or filter so the canceled it which shrunk my discount. Then day three came and again canceled another item that I really needed. Again lost all my discount applied cuz now it was under a 100 and now have to wait 5 -7 days to get money back. This is a joke. Customer service doesn't know up from down and my local store the young lady that’s a manager is a jerk, very passive, doesn't care. I’m never ordering online again. Waste of time. Uber 30 in savings lost. This is a scam!

The Holly Springs location on Main St. is the worst place to deal with. Purchased two Bosch wiper blades. A free spray and $15 reward was in the ad. I did not get the spray nor the $15 reward. Instead, he gave me 10% off my purchase because the spray did not ring up free. I did not notice the 10% off till I got home. Called corporate office, and they said they could not help me because I did not take the spray. It was not even offered to me when I left the store. I will take my business elsewhere.

If you want bad service, unqualified and service from employees that don't half know what they're doing, this is definitely the place to get it. I have NEVER gone to an auto parts and was so disappointed at the lack of knowledge than when I wasn't to the AutoZone on Waughtown St in Winston Salem, NC... do BETTER when it comes to vetting who you hire, dear GOD! When the employee can't get a battery out to replace...but then doesn't even tighten it back up completely or correctly.... If you can get to another auto parts, go there... this place is a joke, really.

If you are looking to purchase an engine for your Jeep Wrangler, I'd advise you do that elsewhere! I purchased an engine October 2024. It had a 3 year warranty. The engine blew up at 1 year 3 months at 7,500 miles. I did my oil changes even before scheduled!! It was a faulty engine!! My mechanic said that all the engines from Auto Zone have been garbage!! I called wanting a refund and they refused but said they would give me another engine. This is really not acceptable because I really don't want to be stranded with a garbage motor again!! It's very frustrating!!

Horrible Service in the store located at 2149 Airline Road, Corpus Christi, Tx, 78414. I went to the store on Monday Feb 02, 2026, to use the warranty for my defective battery and the "teen" so called Manager dismissed my claim because, as per her professional and expert opinion, the Battery tested good. I had explained to her that overnight I disconnected the battery from the car (to avoid Parasitic Draw), and in the next morning the battery doesn't have enough power to crank the starter motor, and I have to jump the car with my other car, and it started right away. She continued, as a broken record, claiming that the battery is good, because the tester says so, for your information of course it tested good after being charge by the alternator, you can't test self-drainage with that tool. Please contract qualified technicians that understand how cars functions and are able to troubleshoot with the information provided by the client.

Then I went to the store located on 4053 Saratoga Blvd, 78413, and explained my problem to the Knowledgeable manager at that store, and right away she swaps the battery without any drama. Now my car is starting right away. Thanks to the Professional service provided by the manager at the store located on 4053 Saratoga Blvd, 78413.

I was disappointed in the way Jordan, in Louisiana phone number ** handle my complaint. Mike did the wrong work order on my Honda Odyssey 2005 EXL. He called me and told me it was ready so when I picked it up it sounded okay. But when I got to driving it, I was experiencing the same issues. VSA light flashing and that's the reason I went to them for the VSA light and the mechanic Bill told me it was my intake valves and sensor. So I paid on my account so that the work for the sensor and intake valves that was misfiring could be fixed.

They never told me that they couldn't do the work. That is misleading and for a grandmother taking care of 6 grandkids I need my van fixed right. It's my only transportation. So they wanted me to pay for a tow truck to pick up my van that they did the wrong work order on. Mike did the tension rods. I clearly told him the sensors and intake valves. They finally sent a tow truck to get my van on a Saturday. With them being at fault I never once asked for a rental I paid for rides. Nathan at the Firestone in Vicksburg changed the coil and said I can come get the van.

When my brother took me to pick it up, I noticed that the drivers door I think it's called a lock knob was broken. I went back into the store and told Nathan he said that the tow driver must have done it. I told him no they didn't because when they left my van outside all night with my drivers window down my daughter had saw it sitting outside with the drivers window down and recorded it. The knob was seen in the video. I called Jordan and told him that the account was not credited for the wrong work order. He told me to show Nathan that I had tension rods done on my van and my account would be credited.

I took a receipt and a copy of a previous receipt for tension rods bought and put on by my brother. Nathan said that Jordan said since it only showed one tension rod not to honor the credit to my account for the wrong work order. Jordan was wrong for reneging on what he told me to do. I did what he said showing proof of the tension rods. That's very unfair to me because I didn't do anything wrong. I'm very disappointed in this Firestone. I sent my brother to get tires. My sister got tires on OM account that she paid off. My fiance got tires that he paid off. I got a oil change on my daughter's car that I paid for. My account was always in good standing and since they did me wrong my credit score has suffered tremendously and that's not right.

AutoZone can be a scam during warranty exchanges. I started writing this review and started venting about my experiences and realized that it had gotten way too long so I'm going to cut it short. I had a similar experience today that reminded me of why I made AutoZone my last option when purchasing parts. They will claim (at least my local store) that they don't see older purchases in system knowing it's a good chance that you won't still have receipts to prove. The last time it was for an exchange on a battery. It was their own battery with purchase dates on it to show it was still under warranty.

I finally got it exchanged after several weeks of contacting regional managers and them contacting local store. Today same experience exchanging alternator. Said they couldn't find purchase in system from just a few months ago and I didn't have receipt. Well, I went home determined to find receipt because I felt like I should be able to find if I spent enough time looking. Bam.. Found it and made trip back to store. As I looked at receipt, I noticed that they had not completed entire phone number so It would not be able to be searched by number. I wondered how many times they purposefully accidentally put in wrong, incomplete or no phone number in order to not honor exchanges. This may not only be an AutoZone thing, but it happened during my last two exchanges at the same store. I will be sure to double check my receipt during future purchases at any store purchase for warranty purposes.

I just had one of the most unprofessional and disrespectful experiences with this AutoZone location. I called with a simple question about my car battery, and the employee immediately refused to give me his name, even though the call began politely. When I asked if he had a supervisor I could speak with, he said, “I’m the only one in here,” and still refused to provide any identifying information. On top of that, he wouldn’t even confirm whether they had the battery I was asking about — he was deliberately unhelpful and dismissive.

His tone was condescending, rude, and completely unnecessary. The way he spoke to me made it clear he didn’t take my questions seriously and didn’t care about offering even basic customer service. I ended the call feeling demeaned and shocked that this is how customers are treated. No one should be talked down to, stonewalled, or made to feel stupid for asking for help. If this is the behavior being allowed at this location, management needs to take a serious look at who they have representing their store.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Service at AutoZone Oceanside! I don’t often write reviews, but the exceptional service I received from Kyle, one of the managers at the Oceanside AutoZone, deserves recognition. Kyle went above and beyond to help me get the correct part for my car and even installed it for me on the spot. I wasn’t getting the support I needed from the dealership — despite my car still being under warranty — but Kyle took the time to listen, explain my options, and make sure I got exactly what I needed without trying to upsell me. Thanks to him providing the right bulbs, I was able to return to the dealership and finally get my warranty service completed.

I returned the next day to purchase air filters and thank him again because his help saved me from being charged $350 by the dealership for something that should have been covered under warranty. Kyle’s customer service, honesty, and willingness to help are truly rare. Highly recommend Kyle and this AutoZone location!
