We purchased the extended warranty. My transmission started to not shift so I took it to the transmission shop. It's been 3 weeks and still haven't gotten the repairs approved. They sent their guy out to look at the transmission and take pictures but for whatever reason he didn't do what he was suppose to. So now I have to wait even longer for someone to go out and take pictures. When I called the warranty company they lied and said he went back to the transmission shop but no one was there. At this point I want them to refund my $3,000 that I paid for their crappy warranty. I work everyday and need my vehicle fixed fast.

Was also told by the dealer that Credit Acceptance insisted on the warranty. Glad they did because Winners Circle in Tilton, NH really got me with this car. 3000 miles the turbo went, Phoenix (Wynns) paid $2400 (exactly what I paid for the warranty), for a turbo replacement but wouldn't cover about $1500 in peripheral parts. Now 5000 miles later the transmission went. Roadside towed the car with a $15 deductible and they said OK to the transmission, but, they won't let the shop get the trans so they can't make any money off the part. Pretty sure the last shop ruined that charging them a super high price (about $600 more than average) for the turbo. I did call about a rental car last week, the person on the phone said they would get ahold of the adjuster to see how long they will pay for the rental, was going to call back in 30 to 60 min... still haven't heard back, it's Monday so I'm calling when they open. Not sure what to expect yet.

My car makes a very loud whining noise after about 20 mins of driving. The service shop that I brought my car to said that my transmission needs to be replaced. Wynn's Plus Deluxe is who I have an extended warranty with and they sent out an adjuster to look over my transmission. By the time the adjuster got to the service shop the car had been resting and so the noise was not immediately heard. I tried to explain that the noise begins after about 20 mins of driving and has caused my car to stop accelerating after a while. The warranty company refused to send out the adjuster again to re-evaluate. My cars warranty is almost up and it's clear that they are trying to waste time in order to not cover the transmission. I am very unhappy and I need my car especially since winter will be here soon and that is very hard on cars. If you need an extended warranty do not use these people. They will not help you. They don't know what they're doing.

Check engine light started flashing and engine temp flew up to 240 on my way home from work in my Silverado, coasted home to cool down. Got it to Chevy dealership in the morning; Radiator went due to hose leak and got a "Pending misfire". Wynns/Phoenix approved the $1,350 fix (new radiator, hose, labor, diagnostics) within the hour and had my truck back the next morning (10 hr job). Impressed how fast it was approved, happy my truck didn't blow up, thankful for this warranty up to this point in time. Saved me a lot of money.

Worst company in existence. Nickel and Dimed me for over 15 hours of extra work on my engine on top of not wanting to replace my engine on the truck that I JUST BOUGHT with a worn out bottom block, heads, cylinder walls, Pistons, rings, etc.. Will NEVER do business with these guys again. They approved the REPLACE of my engine and then went back and approved a REBUILD. From the get-go the rebuild was out of the question, since the bottom half is so worn, it would be the SAME PRICE to get a BRAND NEW ENGINE instead of a rebuild with NO WARRANTY and NO GUARANTEE. These guys are mind boggling, not to mention my truck has been at the auto shop for over 2 months fighting and bickering with Wynn's. I've paid out almost $3,000 for a rental vehicle, another 2 months and I could have bought the dang engine myself. I'm disgusted.

By that I mean to their customers and the repair facilities! They take the customers' money for the warranty but have so many loopholes and very rarely come through for their customers!!! So I bought a 2015 Kia and didn’t even have the car 6 months and the engine malfunctions. The warranty company sends my mechanic in circles for 3 weeks only to then say “an adjuster will be out in 2 business days to look and approve new engine.” Well my claim was denied because “foreign material” was in the engine. You want to know WHAT it was? According to adjuster a tiny piece of foil!!!! Like “the seal off of an oil bottle more than like from your last oil change” is what I was told.

So I call the place who has always done my oil changes...THEY called the warranty company as well as my mechanic. Long story short a tiny piece of foil cause my engine to malfunction and lock and the warranty company WILL NOT reimburse my $1000.00 car rental for this whole time nor will they pay for new engine over a “small piece of foil.” You always get diffident stories of what’s going on with your claim and the people you talk to have attitudes and could care less about you! I will NEVER EVER deal with them ever again and I advise the same to everyone else!!!!!!!!!!

I purchased a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu from a used car dealer in my area with 77k miles. The brake booster just recently went out and the car was inoperable for 5 days. I contacted the dealership who assured me they would contact the warranty company and myself directly. I decided to take matters into my own hands and not wait around. BTW, the dealership never returned my call or addressed the concern and this is now a week later. I read the reviews from this very link the entire weekend.

After seeing some positive and some negative I decided to test my luck. I called Wynn’s and spoke with a very kind representative by the name of Marlene. She was very thorough on what steps needed to be taken to ensure the repair is covered. Once I spoke with her, I then called a local repair shop that is ASE certified and licensed to do the repairs. I asked before ever taking the vehicle there whether or not they have done business with Wynn Warranty and they did. They also stated they’ve never had a problem with Wynn in the past.

I had the vehicle towed that same day, not even an hour later. The rep called me within about 3 hours to inform me of the diagnosis, and she had also already contacted Wynn in which all the service charges would be covered in full. All I had to pay was the $100 deductible that I was told about when I purchased the vehicle. It’s now Wednesday, and my car was ready at 12 noon. I’m back sailing in my beauty thanks to Wynn. I would advise follow protocol before taking your vehicle anywhere!!!

Wynn's Warranty is the most difficult to have. My car has been in the shop for 2 MONTHS. While this warranty company runs down a list of demands, take the engine out, tear the engine down almost to the block before they will send someone out to assess the problem, that the mechanic knew well before removing the engine. Far too many steps they insist mechanics do to meet their demands, not considering the inconvenience and stress they put on me the car owner and the time, labor and shop space put on the mechanic and his team. They like to tell you they are willing to work with any licensed/registered service station...

I have news for you Wynn's, mechanics don't want to work with you. This leaves those of us that purchase your phony contract with no place to turn. Then you hold up payment on the cost of the tow... really after 2 months??? It's not right forcing mechanics to do more work than necessary at the contract holder's expense. This company is a scam. Where are the owners of this company? Why can you not reach anyone higher than customer service or c/s manager. This warranty should not be sold to anyone.

The warranty company indicated they were not reputable. Our repair shop asked what they had to do and they got the invoice together. Faxed it and was told the invoice was not numbered and they dragged out their request past the warranty date and would not pay for the repairs after we paid all the monies we did for the warranty contract.

They said they could do a retroactive if a RSO numbered receipt was done but the claim was denied. Our auto repair shop is a mobile repair shop and the shop before was a mobile repair shop and their invoice was not numbered and the warranty company wanted a computer generated invoice and our mobile repair shop did not have that and they explained they were a small business.

I bought a 2009 Infiniti G37xS that came with their extended warranty in Feb 2018. My car started to overheat a few weeks ago so I shut the car off immediately and had it towed to a certified mechanic which I paid out of my pocket. Come to find out the head gasket was blown and the transmission is bad. It would cost more to repair the head gasket than to replace the engine itself. My mechanic called Phoenix Extended Care and they said they would need to do a complete teardown of the engine and transmission before they would make a decision if it was covered. I would have to pay for 14 hours of labor for this teardown. Please avoid this company at all cost. I have called several times and left messages with managers with no response or help. I even asked if they could send an inspector out so they can see for themselves and still no response. This type of business practice is criminal and should be illegal.

I feel like they want my car to simply die, so they can blame it on something other than the engine. It's the engine. It's been torn down and diagnosed by a reputable mechanic, who sent them the quote. They have spent the last several phone calls trying to convince me that my mechanic, who I've known for several years, is trying to cheat me. No, this warranty company is trying to cheat me. The dealership said that the finance company requires it, to protect their investment! Well, my ignition switch locked up and was told by the mechanic that it was broken. So come to find out it was the ignition lock cylinder that needed to be replaced. So the mechanic went ahead and ordered the part and installed it, assuming that this critical part was covered. Not!!!

So when I called Phoenix, the rep was not only rude, but treated me like I was a child by telling me, "Follow along with me and look on page 2... do you see the part that says ignition? Did you find it? Well look there, and do we see the words ignition lock cylinder? No we don't, therefore it isn't covered". I purchased the Premium Coverage which is the best overall coverage that they offer and a lot of the basic items such as Electrical (electric horn), Cooling (coolant leak), and Turbocharger (oil leak) is not covered (see image of brochure). I spoke to a customer representative today 1/25 at 07:30m, Andrea, and she stated that the specific part needs to be listed so the repair can be approved.

So if your electrical horn is not working and the mechanic states that the Central Engine Control Module is causing the problem then this repair would not be covered because the specific part is not listed. Even though "electric horn" is listed under #10 Electrical on the brochure. If your car is leaking coolant at the turbo fittings and the part "Turbo Fittings" is not listed then it is not covered. I currently have $2,374.50 (plus tax) of repairs and none of the repairs are covered. I have had this warranty since 9/17/15. In addition, I requested a copy of the claim and they stated they do not have an email address to submit this request and I can only fax or mail the request. From my experience I found that purchasing a warranty from a legitimate dealer such as Ford, Toyota, Infiniti has lived up to their promise and covered a lot of general issues such as these.
