All services include a 100% satisfaction guarantee that covers additional treatments if the pest problem isn’t solved.

How much does Terminix cost?

Terminix’s cost varies based on multiple factors, including your location, the size of your home and the pests you need removed. Each customer starts by scheduling a free inspection with a Terminix professional who creates a detailed, customized plan for pest control. This plan includes the price of service and how often treatment will be performed.

On average, Terminix’s prices range from $550 to $700 per year for a 2,000-square-foot home. The price varies based on the type of pest, how severe the problem is and how often professionals must visit the home. It started out ok -- the inspector found various places in the attic where the squirrels could be getting in in December. Soon after, a technician came out and blocked those entry points and installed a one-way gate. However, the squirrels found new ways in this spring and Terminix was largely unresponsive. I have been trying to get someone to come out to the property to deal with three new LARGE holes the squirrels have opened in my eaves/attic dormers since April and have been stood up 3 times. I call and set appointments, the appointments get moved (without informing me), and then no one shows up and the only person who answers the phone has no idea what is going on. It is now June and I still have not been able meet with someone on my property, and I have taken off 9 hours of work to get absolutely nothing done about this issue.

First time homeowner dealing with mice infestation. I saw droppings and heard noises in my ceiling. I contacted Terminix 'cause I looked at their self-proclaimed high rating. I called and gave detailed information on the problem I was dealing with, and when the tech showed up he said there were no notes, I had to explain it again. He then proceeded to set up glue and contain traps very sparingly, he focused more on general pest control and not the rodent infestation. A month later there is still signs of rodent activity. I feel the techs do not know enough or just don't care enough about the client's need to stop the rodent infestation. This is an extremely serious problem that's why we hire professionals to do it.

We purchased Terminix termite bait stations and renewed the service for several years. Between the initial installation and ongoing renewals, we spent thousands of dollars—not just hundreds. The bait station system alone cost over $1,000, and the annual service price increased year after year. During annual inspections, we were consistently told there was no termite activity. The stations remained in the ground for years with the original bait still inside. When we decided not to renew our contract, we were shocked to discover that Terminix removes the bait from the stations upon cancellation, leaving the stations empty and essentially useless.

We specifically asked multiple times when we signed up whether the stations would belong to us. Technically, they do—but what remains after cancellation is an empty plastic station with no active bait. We were never given the impression that the bait would be removed, making the system ineffective unless we continued paying for service.

I do want to recognize the field technicians who serviced our property over the years. They were always polite, professional, and pleasant to work with. I would also like to thank Melody from customer service, who was courteous and helpful. Unfortunately, my experience with Abigail in customer service completely changed my overall impression of the company. Because of that interaction, what would have been a 3-star review became a 1-star review.

After spending thousands of dollars over the years, I expected better communication, better transparency, and better treatment of long-term customers. If you are considering signing up for Terminix termite bait stations, keep this in mind: the stations may be yours, but the bait is not. If you cancel your contract, the bait is removed and you are left with empty stations that no longer provide termite protection. I wish this had been made much clearer from the beginning.

From the start, communication was inconsistent and misleading when I signed up for an ongoing contract for termite bait trap and home protection. When I called the national number (1-855-485-6300) on 12/2, I requested a quote for bait trap installation, ongoing service, and wood damage protection. I was told the annual cost would be around $1,500 and that inspections could be scheduled “whenever you want.” However, I was never provided a copy of the contract or clear terms before the visit. The wood damage protection plan was requested and the team at the 855 number advised that cost is extra and would be quoted after the visit. After multiple requests and 6 months since signing the contract, no quote has been provided yet for limited wood damage protection.

During the initial service, the technician installed the traps but conducted what I can only describe as an incomplete and unprofessional inspection. Large portions of the property—including about half of the cellar and the entire attic—were not inspected. Despite this, the report indicated no termite damage. The technician asked me to sign his tablet, presenting it as confirmation of the visit and installation, without making it clear that I was agreeing to a full annual contract at approximately $130 per month.

Since then, the service has continued to fall short. Terminix has been over an hour late to two of the last three scheduled visits. Coordination between the local office and the national customer service line appears very poor, leading to confusion and lack of accountability. Additionally, the local branch manager in Owings Mills at the time, Matthew Myers, was rude and condescending in both phone and email interactions. When I raised concerns, the responses lacked professionalism and did not address the issues in a constructive way including stating "I highly advise reading anything prior to signing it. We would not send you anything other than the agreement that was signed or prior to being signed.

After this, I formally reported these problems and was told a customer service manager would follow up within a few days. It has now been four business days without any response. Overall, the combination of unclear contract terms, poor communication, unprofessional inspection practices, repeated tardiness, and dismissive customer service has made this a very disappointing experience. I would strongly encourage better transparency, accountability, and professionalism in both the sales and service process.

I got a plan from Terminix for 1 year and paid $1140. The initial service was on March 23/26, and at the beginning of May the termites were back. I started calling for a visit, they scheduled a visit for May 14 and the technician arrived very late. After, on May 15 I started calling for a reschedule, and they told me they will be calling me 24 to 48 hours they never called me back. I have been calling every day since (7 days) and they say the same thing and they never call me back.

I was a Terminix customer last year for a swarm of yellow jackets getting into my house. My husband is highly allergic to bee sting from yellow jackets. I called terminix and they understood the situation and came out fairly quickly. The home was sprayed all around outside. The exterminator noticed where the bees were getting in from. They were getting in from the chimney box and made a huge nest inside to where they were coming into our house from the gas fireplace. We were then told what to do after a few visits with them spraying. We were told where the entrances were and to fill the holes with steel wool and spray foam pesticide. We did exactly what we were told and the first warm day of 2026, we are having bees come in from the same area as last year. SMH.

I called them today to tell them of the same situation again, they told me since I canceled last year for their service it would be as a new customer again. I canceled last year after they told us what to do so why would I need their service anymore. But I called them today and they said they would have to treat me as a new customer since I canceled last year after the problem we thought was solved. Plus if we were going to keep them continually after the problem was solved we were quoted $50 a month and when we got the first bill it was over $70. Just so disappointed because they said the problem was solved but it really wasn’t. Here’s another year of yellow jackets in our home. By the way I was killing 25 to 30 Bees A DAY. Very scary especially when you have someone in the house who could die from just one of these bee stings. DO BETTER TERMINIX. SMH.

Mr. Bill explained it at this moment, after one year, he talked about liabilities for these treatments so they never did anything out of the house for mice and rats. I think, if something is proposed and promised and is not achieved as offered, at least must be explained clearly from the beginning, avoiding uncomfortable situations for any customer who put confident to any company work with.

Giving one star only because the tech who came to help was courteous and generally on time. Otherwise I would give them 0 stars. I signed a contract to get rid of a mice problem in my basement. After the initial visit they forgot about me and didn't come out for about 6 months. I finally called them and they blamed it on a scheduling error by the person who sold me the contract. Every time they come to refill the traps with bait, I would find dead mice. After about a year of constantly finding dead mice I decided to investigate where the mice might be coming from. I found not one but two gaping holes near pipes coming into my house. How did the Terminix tech miss this after repeated visits? I don't know.

I had them patch up the holes which greatly reduced the volume of mice coming into the house but it did not eliminate the issue. They tell me that I have a hidden entrance into my basement that they can't locate so it's not something they can resolve. I don't understand how a business that specializes in pest treatments, whose tech missed gaping holes that I had to find myself, use the "hidden entrance" excuse as to why they can't solve my issue. If that's the case, then give me my money back. In short, after more than 2 years and about $4000 spent, I still have the problem I called them to fix. Utterly disappointed and do not recommend. Anyone with basic DIY skills who is willing to do a little research can find a better (and much less expensive) treatment options. I could have easily saved myself well over $3k had I taken the time to figure this out myself.

By the 3rd day she only put down two traps. On Thursday, Brian the manager came out and put out a lot. Friday a little after 7 AM, Alexia came and removed the traps. Paid $1000.00 for 5 days, my calculation is I only received 4. Saturday, I went outside to do gardening, but she forgot one trap which had a squirrel. Called and they said they could come Monday. Horrible customer service! I sent written notification to Terminix two times that my father, the homeowner, had passed away. Although I spoke to a customer service rep. in January and sent in written notification in December and January, they still did a service visit in March (which there is actually no proof of since no one was home---dead...). I have spent hours on the phone with customer service and have not been able to get to speak to a supervisor, and they refuse to remove the charge because I wrote to the company instead of calling, even though I did speak to someone in January. Ironically, customer service is very fast to act and escalate things on their end (contact customer in writing and threaten them with a collection agency in writing) when they want payment. Every other company I had to deal with after my father's death was very helpful and compassionate.

The technicians show to the house for yearly inspection and leave and you get charge later almost $400 but you can see in your camera that they didn’t do the treatment. You contact them but the communication is bad. You schedule appointment for inspection on the attic that should be included and they don’t show up. If you keep your account on file, they will charge you the following year without your permission. Customer support is rude. Please avoid using them.

On 2-16-26 Francisco ** with Terminix came out and said I have a rodent problem and it will require a rodent exclusion to take care of it, I said I have rodents on my $46.01 a month plan already and was told that more was required to take care of the issue. He said they will cover all the holes where rodents can get in and clean the attic, remove the old insulation, and put in new insulation that will help repel rodents. We agreed on $3,900 and I told Francisco that I only wanted exclusion if you did the attic, I have a small attic, and he told me that it was not a problem. They came out in March using chicken wire to cover the holes and placed four traps inside my house.

This was in March. I work a lot so my availability is limited but I have attempted to call Francisco multiple times since March without him returning my calls, I’m on vacation this week so I’ve called him several times this week without him answering or returning my calls, I called my spray tech Pat on Sunday I think and she said she would try to contact him and have him call me about finishing the work and neither one of them contacted me. I called the Terminix office today when I failed to contact Francisco again and Luis finally called me back.

Luis said that he refunded $1,900 to me back in March, which didn’t happen and he told me that upon reflection they decided that they are unable to do the work in my attic after all, but no one decided to tell me and that the chicken wire and the four traps cost me $1,000, I said I told Francisco that the entire deal was contingent on the attic and if he hadn’t told me that the attic was going to be done, then I wouldn’t have gotten the exclusion, Luis said he didn’t know what was said by Francisco, but they aren’t going to do my attic and they will just refund me $1,900.

Terminix does not stand by their work, nor do they care about their customers, I have paid Terminix a lot of money over the years and I’m still paying them a lot of money, and they cannot stand by the promises they make even when they charge exorbitant prices. I do not believe Terminix had any intention of doing the work or refunding me the portion they owe me if I had not called the head office. They didn’t catch any rodents in the traps, there is evidence that I had rodents at one time, but apparently, I didn’t have any when Francisco said I needed the exclusion. Now I feel like I was lied to just to get almost $3,000 from me. Buyers beware if Terminix says you need a product or service, I’d get a 2nd opinion, because I was lied to just to get thousands of dollars from me and the tech that lied to me ducked and dodged me for almost two months instead of coming clean about his lies. They will take your money, and NOT HONOR THEIR WARRANTY. Their online warranty is very misleading. Paid $4644.99 for my most recent contract with Terminix; and I have had them and paying them for 22 YEARS!!! Tenant claims there was termite activity and Terminix did send out a professional termite inspector that determined there is active drywood termites on 04/11/2026. Terminix is supposedly doing quarterly treatments for 22 years; however, a service technician stated he went out on 04/18/2026 and provided a report that there were no signs of termites. The service technician NEVER went even though he wrote a report stating he was there.

When termites were found, we immediately contacted the main Terminix office on April 16, 2026 who stated that the contract covers fumigation and that the contract has coverage for subterranean termites (TIP) and drywood termites (DIPP). That fumigation is covered. That Terminix would honor their "up to $250,000 repair warranty" and this would be escalated to the branch that services the area. Allow 48 hours for that branch to reach out to us. 5 days later I reach out to the phone number on the bogus report from the technician that lied about going on 04/18/2026, because we never did receive a call, and we were told nothing is covered. No fumigation. No repairs. And they apologize for the technician writing a false report and asked if we wanted to reschedule.

I explain that this isn't what was explained in my conversation with the main office of April 16, 2026. Customer service rep could not, or would not let me speak to anyone above her. Stated she would put in an escalation email for someone to call me in 48 hours. Informed her that no one called the first time when they said I would receive a call within 48 hours. She would not give me any information as to who the local branch was or their contact information. She stated that there were no supervisors or managers to speak with, only her, a customer service rep.

You would think with 22 years of quarterly service, there would be no chance of getting termites, but we did. After 22 years of paying this company, you would think they would honor their online advertising, but they won't. They will not let you get past their customer service rep continuously saying "I completely understand". They will only tell you that they will escalate it to the local branch but will not give you that information. I asked the rep: why am I to believe any call will be returned when that's what was said 5 days ago and never received a call. Why am I to believe when a technician wrote a bogus report. If this service technician wrote a bogus report and never serviced the property, then how many other times was that done. Maybe if Terminix did the job properly we wouldn't have termites today.

We will be filing a complaint with the Department of Business and Professional Regulations. I have attached a photo of the receipt that clearly shows $4400 for tent defend; however, the rep could not tell me what that was. The rep could not tell me the license number for Terminix. Therefore, their 24/7 service is also misleading advertising too.
