Avner of Wayne, PA October 23, 2009

I just spoke to Christine of Microsoft's Customer Service in Redmond about a problem upgrading to Windows 7. She was most unhelpful, uncooperative, and impolite. Kindly have her supervisor or team leader make it clear to her that she lives off Microsft's customers' money and that she owes each and every customer excellent and courteous service.

Curlan of Spring Valley, NY September 25, 2009

On September 3, 2009, I received a few e-mail advertisements from Microsoft Office and Digital River with the Subject: "Reminder: Offer Ends Soon-Convert Your Trial & Save 50...Cool Tools for Back to School, plus save 50, BUY NOW...Get Microsoft Office Home and Student for just 99.99...Buy Now..." I believed I would be purchasing this product costing 99.99 for only 49.99 with a 50 coupon/discount being applied. However, when I clink on the link saying "BUY NOW", it took me straight to the check-out page. I gave my shipping and billing info thinking the coupon will be applied at the end of the transaction. But when payment was submitted my total remained at 119.19! I was furious. I felt really duped.

I did NOT download the product hoping I would be able to simply contact Customer Service and they would help resolve this issue. I spoke to one of the Microsoft On-Line Stores Download Rep named James. I explained the situation and even forwarded the same e-mail I received from Microsoft via Digital River to him. He told me he would forward the information to the Accounting and Refund Dept. This was 9/3/09. I waited until 9/8 after receiving no Refund, and called Microsoft again and explained the info to Rep Rachel. She said a Refund was in process, and it would take approx 5 days.

After not seeing any Refund or e-mails I called back on 9/16 and spoke to Rep Lyn. She said I should be receiving a confirmation e-mail within 24-48 hrs. I waited and waited-no confirmation e-mail or check came. I finally called back 9/25 and spoke to Rep Mary who again told me she would submit a Refund request which should take approx 7 days. I told her I do not believe her or Microsoft any more, and that I wanted my Money back which I spent on a False Advertising campaign by Microsoft and Digital River.

I demanded to speak to a Manager from the Accounting Dept, and she forwarded my call to a female Manager named "Rain." She said I can use her name as a confirmation, but the Refund might not be posted to my bank until 4 days. I said I will be waiting. In the mean time I am very dissappointed with Microsoft's handling of this matter. They are quick to collect your money, but non-compliant in addressing this Consumer's complaints and returning their Money. I wish I could complain to the Better Business Burea so more people can be made aware of what I really now determine is a SCAM. It is simply False Advertisement, and Microsoft should do the Right thing and Refund my Money so I can purchase this same product at a vendor of my choosing.

Microsoft Office 2007 sucks bigtime. I am seriously considering buying a Mac. Office 2003 mysteriously crashed, taking all of my data with it. My efforts to reinstall Office 2003 have met with utter failure. What happened to the anti-trust laws in this country? We are at the mercy of a new generation of robber barons beginning with Bill Gates!

Placed on hold and still holding for about 2hours. I called several times. However, my cell phone was hung up on after 2 hours. So I am now using my work phone to continue to be placed on hold. I also emailed them and no response. I also planned on going to location to get this problem resolved, location is in phiilipines (?) I am tired of corporations that have monopolized their market and can't even offer their consumers & employees respect and appreciation. Thus, Mac's success.

It is about Office Rofessional 2007 free Trail, I have this preinstalled on my machine. Yet when I begain your engine began another download. All well and good I opted for the trial because of Outlook I feel it is a superior program. After going the email route to no avail. I was transfered to India on Sunday.

About an hour and a half latr I'mtold all is well the software had been reinstalled . So I try it it is still not function the principle problem is that outlook has no send button. No matter how many times I tried download 3 hours each time. Outlook was downloaded without a Send button.

Today I stopped the download I haven't the luxury of tying up machine for 3 hours at a time. I ran system Restore and still came up empty regaRDING OUTLOOK. I has no send / trasnsmit / submit button whatever you desire to call it. How can one evaluate the program when the offering is incomlete.

I purchased microsoft product on the 26/5/09 & sent my claim on the 7/6/09 with up most good faith my claim would be received in time. I have proof of the date it was sent to microsoft When Chasing up my 25 cheque I was advised my claim was not valid being one day out. 25 is not much to some people but it is alot to my family & I and this was reason we bought this microsoft product to be able to get a cash back of 25.

Norm of Garson, ON July 21, 2009

I changed the video card in my computer. Their operating system (XP pro) saw the hardware change and forced a product revalidation after it trashed the majority of my files. After 5 calls to their support line where I'd explain the problem and get shugffled around person to person untiul eventually the saystem would play an automated message saying your call cannot be handled at this time, whereupon I'd get hung up on and restart the entire process.

This is the second time their anti piracy feature trasehes my computer software form a simple hardware change. Their system apparently accroding to their tech support said my registration number was not valid. Well when I had to completely reinstall the os which of course measn I have to spend literally days reinstalling all my legally purchased apps, the number on the DVD of the legally purchased xp installation disc works fine.Their anti piracy software is causing unti8ld hours of wasted time by legitimate customers having to reinstal their os from scratch because it forces it after simple things like a cmos update or a video card change. I think our time should be compensated.

Why does it take 4x as long to uninstall Office 2007 as to boot it 1st (and then have to restart). It looks like [they] want to force us to use office 2007 instead of the perfectly good '97 version I paid good money for and is good for me. Maybe I'll blog this and see what others think.

Warren of Burlington, ON March 31, 2009

Warren of Burlington ON (03/31/09)
Here it is. I remember when I was first introduced to Microsoft's Offcie products (word, excel, etc ....) and did not have any trouble adapting since it was logical and accessible.

Recently, our company was required to switch to office 2007. I have been at this for two weeks now and my ability to use the new interface is nothing short of an unreasonable and unessessary challenge.

My ability as a medium to advanced user is severely crippled due to the illogical/misleading cues. I reject the idea that the designers of 2007 were unable to build upon the previous human interface and so too should have Bill Gates (or others in charge) when presented with the extreme make-over of this vitally important business tool. If I could find and alternate to microsoft, I would switch in a heart beat.

Lost productivity, unable to fullfill my duties, unable to creatively use the microsoft products.
