Purchased the Versailles bridal set, and while it's a BEAUTIFUL set, I've had MANY diamonds fall out of the bands. If you live a regular life and use your hands to do ANYTHING on a daily basis, do NOT purchase this set. We luckily purchased the warranty for the wedding band and have had to send the band in 4-5 times to get diamonds replaced. I now have a diamond missing from the engagement ring. Customer service has been less than helpful and I wish I would have seen these reviews before purchasing. I am SO disappointed.

We’ve been loyal customers of Brilliant Earth, but after this experience, we won’t be back. We sent in three rings for repair due to discoloration—two after only two years and one after five. For jewelry at this price point, the quality is disappointing. All three needed over $700 in repairs. The service was equally frustrating. I was told to ship all three rings together, then later told they should have been sent separately. We asked about upgrading a diamond and were assured there’d be no cost to adjust the setting—only to later be told it would cost over $600 for a new setting. At one point, we were even told the engagement ring’s location was “unknown.” It then sat for over two weeks before anyone started repairs. This level of quality and service is unacceptable. We’ll be taking our business elsewhere.

Ordered birthday diamond studs for my partner. Shipping and packaging was Good. The free earrings were also fine, they're nice but not the point. The issue is the main thing I paid a lot of money for - Came out of the box and the backs exploded all over the celebrant. It was an embarrassment. I went down to their store, the employee was nice but the process was all red tape. I spoke with a customer service rep on the phone who followed up and said they needed to send the earrings back - TO REPLACE THE BACKS - instead of just sending replacements. I didn't get any email or text or anything along the way. Just buy your goods elsewhere.

I placed an order for an engagement ring with Brilliant Earth which they did ship on time. When it came to the delivery, the driver forged my signature and I never received that package. I immediately contacted Brilliant Earth about the mishap and they proceeded to do bare minimum to resolve the issue even after being told that my signature for delivery was forged. They now say they cannot offer any help. They got their money and threw the customer to the side. The greediest corporation I have ever had to deal with and I would advise anyone thinking about doing business with them to think twice. Any way they can get money they will.

Don’t Buy from Brilliant Earth Jewelry! Poor Customer Service. Do not stand behind their product. Takes advantage you young enthusiastic, excited young people in love. My son purchased an engagement ring for his fiancé in June 2024.: The ring is a 2.75 Carat, Radiant, Ideal Cut, G color, VS1Clarity. 9.16 X 6.76 X4.75mm. Conflict Free Lab Grown Diamond. Platinum Halo Lab Diamond. Ring with side stones (1/3 ct.tw). Extended Protection Plan for Halo Diamond Ring with Side Stones-Lifetime. Total Cost: 9,104.34. After a beautiful ceremony in Aruba, my son and his fiancé got engaged in September. Somehow in November his fiancé backed out of the engagement and no longer wanted to get married. As one could imagine this was devastating to him and his family.
Trying to do the right thing, I contacted Brilliant Earth about the situation to see if there was something we could work out to somehow offset this purchase. The representative said they do not take back their jewelry back after checking with a manager. We were not looking for a full refund or even close. Maybe some cash for the ring and store credit for down the road. Finally, after saying no to all my possibilities she gave me 3 places to call that would buy the ring back and all 3 said no they don’t take lab grown stones. My final attempt was to send the ring out to a wholesaler. They offered me a total of $185 for the ring. Clearly this Brilliant Earth Company is using inferior materials if they are charging $9,104 dollars for $185 in materials.

Completed a purchase for an engagement ring using a credit card via Apple Pay on their mobile website. 24 hours later, I received an email from Brilliant Earth Order Protection stating. "We regret to inform you that we were unable to process your payment using the credit card provided due to security purposes. A refund for your initial payment will be processed promptly. To continue with your order, we are happy to offer alternative payment methods. We can accept payment via PayPal or Bank Wire.
1. A PayPal invoice for payment via PayPal.
2. Instructions for making a Bank Wire transfer.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and are here to assist you with any questions you may have. "
I found this highly irregular. After contacting them, I received a PayPal invoice. Before I went to pay it, I checked my CC statement, and the charge had gone from "pending" to "processed." This conflicts with my personal and professional (fintech) experience with refunds that occur by a merchant within 24 hours of a purchase made on a weekend. This made me nervous. They wanted me to pay an invoice for the order amount via PayPal before I even got the refund AND the transaction confirmed as processed: very odd and suspicious. I found the whole process unusual and it triggered that part of my brain that is always looking out for scams.
I was told by the first chat support rep that this situation happens when users pay via Apple Pay because BE has no way to do additional verification on the card numbers due to Apple being in the middle obfuscating the transaction. This checks out from my perspective and experience using Apple Pay in the fintech industry. However, in that case, I find it irresponsible for BE to offer this payment method knowing it will result in this alt process.
All of that being said, this was just my experience, and I understand and respect that the likelihood of this being an actual scam is quite low. More likely, Brilliant Earth is protecting their business from fraud, which I respect; however, the experience of them prioritizing this protection over my user experience was sub-optimal. I ended up canceling my order, and I'm awaiting a full refund. I will update this review if anything additionally poor happens.

I’m not sure how many more ways I can reach out in an effort to get an update on my order. Despite multiple attempts via phone calls, chats, and emails, I have yet to receive any response from your company. I’ve spoken with customer service representatives, a supervisor, and was told a manager would contact me — yet over 48 hours have passed with no follow-up whatsoever. This complete lack of communication is unacceptable. As a result, I have filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I am beyond frustrated with the disregard your company has shown, and I’m relieved I chose not to purchase my wedding rings from you. You have lost me as a customer, and I will not hesitate to share my negative experience with others. At this point, I am seriously considering seeking legal advice.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience with Brilliant Earth, both in terms of product quality and customer service. The white gold alloy they use is clearly low quality—the rhodium plating on my band wore off completely in less than six months, leaving it with a yellow, cheap-looking appearance. When my fiancé and I purchased the ring, we were never informed that the white gold would fade so quickly, essentially requiring frequent and costly maintenance.
When I visited the Brilliant Earth store in La Jolla to address the issue, the staff was rude, dismissive, and completely unwilling to help. Instead of offering a reasonable solution, they tried to charge me twice the price that reputable jewelers charge for rhodium re-plating. For a company that markets itself as “high quality and customer-focused”, this was beyond disappointing. If you’re looking for a well-made ring from a jeweler that stands behind their products and treats customers with respect, I strongly recommend going elsewhere. Don’t waste thousands of dollars on a company that doesn’t care about the longevity of their jewelry or the satisfaction of their customers.

I called customer service and she told me it was exactly as I ordered. I requested to speak with a supervisor because I was told I had to send it back to be repaired. You cannot repair the engraving. It has to be removed and redone. Waiting for this will go past my deadline. Engraving was not done straight nor in-fact had the spaces I had requested in my order. She did not even care about my frustrations with my VERY expensive ring. Jillian ** you should be fired, you are the least empathetic customer service representative I have ever spoken with. I have spoken with local jewelers in the state I live in and all are astounded with the ring quality, but Brilliant Earth doesn't seem like they do any wrong, it's ridiculous. Meanwhile I have now been without my rings for 2 weeks and I cant even get them on the phone to speak with me. I really would never trust them with any sort of Jewelry ever again and I truly hope they are shut down. Brilliant Earth, DO BETTER.

The worst experience ever! I lost 2 diamonds on my engagement ring and wedding band. We sent them off to be repaired and to ensure all the diamonds were seated properly (and paid over $500 CAD). Within WEEKS of receiving the rings, I lost another diamond. I sent both rings off again for repair. I spoke with 2 different managers, 1 of which closed the case without responding to me. Their answers were scripted with zero remorse. They will not cover the cost but agreed that this should not have happened. My rings are now being sent back without repairs. I will NEVER deal with them again!

2. We waited 1 month for showroom appointment in New York City. They still didn’t have any of the rings we picked on a website for this appointment.
3. The sizes they offer on website are not accurate. We picked 4.25 in showroom, the website has only 4.5.
4. We were promised our rings before the wedding. Over a month passed they still didn’t send a tracking number.
5. We were offered to loan the rings from their showroom. Upon arrival we waited extra hour, staff member didn’t seem to know the reason of my visit. After all they had no rings that would look even close to what we picked. They had only 1 size of each ring: for her it was twice bigger, for him it was small. We had to decline the offer because they didn’t look like wedding bands at all (more like rings to determine the finger size) and mainly because they didn’t fit us. When I sent them an email they ignored me. I sent them another email AND THEY OFFERED US TO COME TO THE SHOWROOM AGAIN AT DAY OF OUR WEDDING. I still can’t understand why the rings weren’t ready for scheduled loan-appointment. Wedding day is stressful enough to try our chances with Brilliant Earth.
6. Their customer relations manager Sara promised the rings to be delivered Sept.19. No tracking info was provided. A MONTH PASSED AFTER OUR ORDER IT WASN'T EVEN SHIPPED. No tracking info, their reps on a phone are always lying and completely ghosting you by email. Save yourself time, shop somewhere else.

I purchased my engagement ring from Brilliant Earth without issues, so I decided to buy my wedding ring from them as well. Unfortunately, this has turned into a nightmare. The first ring shipment through FedEx was either misplaced or stolen—no clear explanation from Brilliant Earth or FedEx on what happened. When I asked Brilliant Earth to use a different shipping provider for the replacement, they refused and sent another package via FedEx. I took time off work to be home for the delivery, only for FedEx to change the expected delivery time from early morning to “before 8 pm.” So now, I’m stuck at home all day waiting.
When I called Brilliant Earth’s customer service for help, they were completely unhelpful and basically told me to deal with it. Their solution? “Hopefully, it will get there today, and worst case, you’ll have to drive to a FedEx center to pick it up.” Somehow, I’m the one paying the price for their failure to ensure proper delivery. I’m extremely disappointed in the lack of accountability and customer care. Avoid Brilliant Earth if you expect reliable service and support.

I wanted to leave another review because I still have not moved on from my experience with Brilliant Earth and I strongly believe people should avoid this company. We went to the Newbury Street, Boston location to try on rings and while there I took off a ring I already had on because I wanted to see only the engagement ring. The ring I had got lost in the shuffle of all the other bands, and I accidentally left it there. I realized instantly and called BE explaining what happened, and they said they had it, they put it in a little bag, and they would put it in a safe until I could come get it. This ring was a family ring and all of my sisters have a similar one- I have worn it my whole life, and I explained this to BE. I then went to BE to retrieve my ring, and the person at the front desk said she doesn't know where the ring was and the manager was busy so she couldn't come out and talk to me.
Throughout the next month, I emailed BE several times with no responses from them, and I also called several times. In some of the phone calls I was again told that there was no manager to speak to me, and in other phone calls I was told I would receive a call back in the next few days and I never did. I went to the store an additional time and was again told that the manager wasn't able to talk to me. A few weeks later, I went back to the store again and FINALLY, someone with some information told me that they don't have my ring, they had misplaced it despite how I was told that it was put in a safe.
My ring was irreplaceable and they allowed it to be misplaced- I honestly think one of the employees stole it. A couple months later I left my first review and I heard from someone at BE, who apologized to me and offered to either give me a store credit or send a gift, if I would add a comment to my review that someone from BE reached out to try to remedy the situation. I told them I obviously didn't want a store credit, so they sent me a necklace. The necklace had a minuscule diamond on it and on their website it was $80- I would expect more than this after they lost or allowed my family ring to be stolen. I would be very careful with this company if you're considering using them.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. We have had multiple people ask us our opinion on Brilliant Earth and we always tell them the same thing. Get your ring somewhere else. What makes this worse is that this was my DREAM ring. My husband SAVED for this ring. 10 thousand dollars later and I would rather he bought me a ring from Walmart than here. I have had this ring for maybe around 14 months. In that time, it has now needed repairs twice. Diamonds fall out, the prongs get broken and you will get blamed for wear and tear.
The first time my diamond fell out the manager said it is because I probably wore the ring too hard. They made me send in all three rings to make sure this wouldn’t happen again. They wanted to check all the rings and assure me they wouldn’t fall out as well. Lo and behold two months after I get my ring back another diamond falls out. Are they seriously telling me that in two months I wore my rings so hard that a diamond fell out? Absolutely not, try crappy craftsmanship. I can no longer wear my ring anywhere for fear that something will fall out of the setting.
And then there’s the rust that it leaves on my finger. They keep telling me it’s allergic reaction to the rose gold on my skin. I call bull, I’ve never had a reaction on my ring. If the quality is as good as they preach, I would not have a rust stain on my finger. The first time we called - the manager was nice enough to cover the rings. We ended up getting insurance on the remaining two rings we hadn’t covered previously. The second time, the manager offered to exchange our ring for another ring of the same price or less. Not quite sure the point of that since the ring would still be the same crappy quality. Overall just a very very sad customer. This should qualify as a scam.

DO NOT BUY FROM BRILLIANT EARTH!! Within only a few months I had a stone fall out of my engagement ring. Brilliant Earth recommended remaking the entire ring as opposed to repairing it, because they took too much metal off the prongs during the polishing process. They remade the ring for free, however the only original part of the ring they reused was the center stone. Two weeks after receiving this remade ring another stone fell out. Again, they recommend remaking the entire ring for the same issue with the prongs.
The quality of this company’s products are incredibly poor, confirmed by a local reputable jeweler who examined the ring. At this point all we want is to return this ring (minus the center stone) along with the 2 unworn wedding bands we purchased from them (we’re not even married yet). Customer service has been a nightmare, it’s impossible to get in touch with anyone, and when you do they just keep repeating their policies rather than try to come to a resolution. This is a warning to anyone considering purchasing from Brilliant Earth, DO NOT DO IT, you will be wasting your time and money.

We couldn't wait for the Miami store to open. It is we went in and had a great experience. My fiance picked the ring and made the purchase. I received my ring on Mother's day and in less than a month I noticed the stone was a bit foggy we took it back and they cleaned it and try to charge us to do so. Keep in mind they tell you you have 30 days to return or exchange if you are not pleased. After calling and fussing I finally received my ring back looking the same way I sent it out and then calling to tell me all I should do and don't do in the ring.
Needless to say, I was looking at the ring a few weeks ago only to see that one of the small stones on the side fell out. It's not even 6 months since I've had the ring yet. Original Review: If I could leave no stars I would! My husband purchase my wedding set from Brilliant Earth. While we were on our honeymoon in Mexico I noticed a couple diamonds fell out of both the wedding band and engagement ring. We contacted Brilliant Earth and we sent it in for its first evaluation and repair, to which they fixed it for free. That was great. However, over the course of the next year and a half we have sent the ring in a total of 4x or more and Brilliant Earth had to even rebuild the entire ring because the diamonds keep falling out. I got my ring back the last time in November last year, it took me until March of this year to wear it again.
Lo and behold, last night another diamond fell out. Mind you, I don’t shower with it on, cook, clean, I don’t wear it to work, I don’t sleep with it on, do the dishes etc… basically I never wear it. I spent countless hours expecting my ring when I did wear it out of fear of the diamonds falling out again. Brilliant Earth told me they will not buy the ring back from me. Our experience with their quality has been a complete nightmare and for the price my husband paid, we should have had a ring that could withstand life with us for a lifetime without the fear I’ve endured over the last year and a half. Once they fix my ring again… which they’ll have it for about a month if not more to do so, I refuse to wear it. Talk about a waste of money, time and energy to just continually be disappointed over and over again. Please do yourself a favor and do not purchase anything from Brilliant Earth.

Let's start off saying that I do not recommend this company, and that you should definitely go elsewhere with your hard earned money. This company will prey on you, I've read multiple horror stories of people purchasing their rings where the ring ends up snapping in half, diamonds are falling out with extreme minimal wear on the ring and if you write a bad review they might even force you to sign a NDA for them to fix your ring. Let's start off saying with my personal experience with Brilliant Earth, my partner ordered the ring a month ago, we had a international flight to go to Japan 06/27/24 which they promised they would deliver the ring before the international travel.
Currently it is 06/26/24 with no ring, they shipped it out 06/22/24 then it got returned to them in their base in NJ, due to invalid zip code but my partner called them on 06/16/22 to fix the zip code issue, which they assured him it would've been fine, and the ring would arrive on time before we leave for our trip which now it hasn't has screwed everything up.
I called the customer support multiple times, which ultimately got me nowhere. The customer support said they cannot do anything, and there is no management that is able to take my calls, to try and expedite the shipment before we leave, which was yesterday that I called so if they shipped it out yesterday it would've arrived on time but it didn't. They offered for me to go to a showroom in Palo Alto, CA to have a "replacement" ring which why would I do that since it's not my ring? Doesn't feel right to do that, it's just weird. He sent 8 thousand on a ring for them to not even handle the situation properly, immediately caused buyers remorse. If this is how their handling the situation with the ring not arriving on time after numerous times where they said it would. I CANNOT imagine what it would've been like if something happened to my ring, like a major stone falling out etc.
DO NOT buy from this company, I dodged a bullet. We canceled our order today, after we canceled the custom ring order they finally emailed us an hour later trying to have us keep the order. Please do your future wife a favor, and avoid this company they'll only give you a headache and they do not value you as a customer, or the money you spent, or the precious lifetime moment it was supposed to be.

This is obviously a manufacturing issue and yet they’re claiming it’s not under their lifetime warranty and were responsible for paying for half of a new setting. My setting has been discontinued probably for this reason. This is absolutely ridiculous that I have to pay for a manufacturing issue when they state there is a lifetime warranty.

After 2 months of wear, my fiancee's engagement ring bent into an oval as she was carrying an Amazon package that weighed less than one pound. We then took the ring to Brilliant Earth in Palo Alto, and their representative laughed in her face, explaining that the ring was poorly made. This was a custom order, and apparently the custom team designed a ring to hold a diamond under 2 karats, and her diamond is over 2 karats. Brilliant Earth would have known this, since we purchased the diamond from them, and it was in their possession when they were building the custom mold. We sent it in to Brilliant Earth to repair, and when they sent it back to us, they stated that the ring was still in such poor condition that it should only be worn for very special ocassions, and should be kept in the box for the majority of the time. Just imagine telling that to a newly engaged girl. Post "repair", there were still glaring issues with the ring.
The diamond setting is tilted. One prong has been etched too deep and is compromised. The pavè diamonds are still loose. The welding was poorly done and is bubbled. When explaining all of this to Brilliant Earth, they just treated us as if they were just trying to make another sale. They wanted to charge us thousands of dollars for a full re-build of a ring that was improperly built the first time. The only person that showed us any empathy was the girl in the showroom at the San Francisco location, who was extremely kind and wanted to help, but unfortunately could not due to the poor structure of the company from the top down. The diamond itself is great, but do not let them build your ring. Their customs team does not know how to properly build a ring, and their customer service team, will not be willing to help if you do decide to have your ring built by them
