Our editor’s take

Nav is a legitimate online resource for small business finances. The company showcases a variety of financial services to ensure healthy business finances. While Nav’s site does offer a handful of services and tools, these services are carried out by different partner companies. So, if you decide to use Nav for your business finances, it’s important that you read all the terms and conditions carefully before signing any agreements.

It should be noted that consumers on our site were dissatisfied with Nav’s staff and punctuality. While this doesn’t mean the company is illegitimate, make sure you’re happy with the rep you’re working with before starting any services with the company.

Nav Prime is not transparent with their services and what they actually offer. Additionally, they state that they report every month but they fail to link your business to the credit agency, then set up an automated system that effectively reports without anything being received on the other end. So, what is the result? No credit improvements. Nothing actually happens. You pay for a service that isn't actually a service. Maybe they have helped some people, but it is hard to see how. It is difficult to not conclude that it is a scam. And, their customer service is unhelpful.

If I could do a negative one I would. I went online on the app and canceled my service. Continue to get charged. When I called they told me they have a strict no refund policy. Who does that or they won’t refund you. I’ve never utilize the service and still paid on it for months before I realize that I was paying it. Hadn’t even logged in except for to cancel, buyer beware.

I dealt with an extremely rude and unprofessional representative at NAV - Lloyd **. I have been a paying customer of NAV now for this business since 10/4/2023. I contact NAV on 8/27/2024 as I was overcharged for service. I provided proof in my emails (attached) I was charged $179.97. Lloyd called me a liar essentially and said I was charged $119.88. I was not. I have proof from my business credit card company, as well as NAV's website, what I was charged. Those were provided to Lloyd. NAV's rude and unprofessional customer service agent refused to provide any documented proof what they were saying was accurate.

I provided my credit card proof. I provided proof from NAV's website. I have never, and was never, only charged $119.88 from account opening. Again, all easily viewable if this rude and unprofessional agent actually looked at my account. Were they looking at the wrong account? Were they lying? I don't know. It was easily solvable. Instead, this rude and unprofessional agent advised I contact my credit card company - which I have. And, will leave honest and accurate reviews everywhere of how I was treated. Per this rude and unprofessional NAV representative I am owed the amount of $60.09. Since I provided proof, attached again, this should have easily been solved, with an apology, over one email - it was not. This rude and unprofessional representative for NAV should be let go - unless NAV condones treating its paying customers like this?

Nav is owned by Dun & Bradstreet. We have been in business for 10 years, with a stellar record of timely payments to vendors, utilities, credit cards, banks, etc. Nav is constantly trying to get us to pay for "premium" upgrade. We were just approved for over $10k credit with a new vendor minutes after submitting our application. Yet Nav rates us a "B"- good, but "with caution"....our Experian credit report on Nav is a "D".....really! Address on file is incorrect, principal listed for our organization under Key Personnel is a person not known to us, my name is listed incorrectly. Use your instincts, pay your bills on time, keep good relationships with your vendors and creditors and don't waste your money or time on this money making marketing scheme.

I don't know where to start but I'm strongly against opening a business bank account with this company. They froze my account without any warning or explanation and provided no timeline for when it would be unfrozen. This has severely hindered my ability to pay vendors. Despite the positive reviews, my experience has been extremely negative. I recommend choosing another online bank. I will be closing my account once this issue is resolved.

DOES NOT WORK. The Nav Prime does not build your credit like they say it does. I used the prime and prime card for 5 months with nothing added to my report. Called customer service and the lady had an attitude and said, yes it's reporting, but my score never changed and I couldn't see the updates on the app... Total waste of money... I'll just stick with my self.com business builder!

Loved them for building business credit, but as changes started to take place last year, they were not truthful nor forthcoming about Paydex scores no longer being displayed on their credit reports. According to a representative there, they still report to D&B, but they’ve made it where you basically either pay for both theirs and D&B's services or have no clue what your Paydex score is, because apparently the paydex score is no longer the 1st go-to for business lenders. Also, instead of them canceling my service when the payment didn’t go through, they kept trying to charge my card and then reported it to collections after it wasn’t paid. Tuh!

***Do not utilize this company.*** Nav is complete with terrible customer service and false advertisement. Their website is riddled with technical issues. Paid for services are not provided as the website won't work and keeps erroring out. Customer support, and even leadership support, are unhelpful and rude. They refused to provide us a refund within HOURS of signing up. This company is horrible.

NAV charged my credit card without asking. To my dismay, I did not authorize this transaction nor have I ever had any prior engagement or business relationship with Nav.com. The charge appeared on my statement without any prior notification or consent, which is a clear violation of my rights as a consumer. Upon discovering this unauthorized charge, I immediately contacted your customer service department to rectify the situation and seek an explanation for this unacceptable action. Unfortunately, my experience with their customer service representatives only added to my dissatisfaction. Despite providing all relevant details and explaining the unauthorized charge, I was met with indifference and a lack of concern for the inconvenience caused. The representative I spoke with failed to provide a satisfactory explanation or resolution, leaving me feeling unheard and disregarded as a customer.

I would like to emphasize that this unauthorized charge not only disrupted my financial stability but also eroded my trust in Nav.com as a reputable and trustworthy entity. It is essential for companies to uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct and customer service, which, regrettably, Nav.com has failed to do in this instance.

I expect an immediate refund of the unauthorized charge to my credit card. Additionally, I request a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident and the reassurance that appropriate measures will be taken to prevent similar situations from occurring in the future. Moreover, I implore you to address the training and customer service shortcomings within your organization to ensure that customers are treated with the respect and attention they deserve.

In light of the disconcerting experience I have had with Nav.com, I am compelled to share my negative encounter with others. I will be posting reviews detailing my experience on various consumer review platforms and informing others about the unauthorized charge and unsatisfactory customer service. It is my hope that by doing so, potential customers will be alerted to the unscrupulous practices exhibited by Nav.com. I trust that you will take immediate action to rectify this situation and restore my faith in your company. I expect a prompt response addressing my concerns and a resolution to this matter. Failure to do so will leave me no choice but to explore further avenues to seek justice and rectification.

I joined Nav, Oct. 2022 and used the business boost option which is an auto pay option only, and they still reported my accounts delinquent. I reported this to customer service, nothing was done. Prior to joining this service, my business scores were great, after canceling my service yesterday, my scores declined. But they took my money and failed to report the proper information. And when you cancel, your access is stripped immediately!!! Which is crazy, because I had a few more days left, on the subscription that I had paid. This is not right what they have done. How is an auto-payment late? How does that happen.
