I will never recommend Shutterfly to anyone very expensive very unreasonable. I order my photo book for the first time it’s been more than a week I haven’t received it. I have tracking number and it’s not up to date. I paid for the shipping and it’s ready frustrating you expect it to arrive by the day the customer service told me but until now it’s not delivered. This will be my first and last to order from them. I understand if there’s a snow blizzard that caused delay for delivery or a severe storm but I don’t like their service.

Ordered 2 photo ornaments far in advance of Christmas 2025. Received notification yesterday that my package had been delivered. I could not find the package at my home. I did not see any delivery on my security camera. Upon further investigation, I discovered that UPS had delivered to a different address in another city 40 miles away! What the??? Immediately called Shutterfly and was able to quickly place a re-order with expedited delivery for 12/19 which was okay because our Christmas is happening on the 20th. Today I received an email that the re-order had been CANCELLED because my address was TOO LONG. No phone call, no email asking for clarification - NO COMMUNICATION at all from Shutterfly to discuss the issue!
I called customer service again and was able to place a SECOND re-order with "SUPER" processing which would get the ornaments here on 12/22. Two days AFTER our family Christmas celebration. Service agents were helpful on the phone but sadly did NOT resolve the issue. Not sure how I am going to smooth over this Christmas CATASTROPHE caused by Shutterfly and/or UPS. Hard to tell children they won't get getting a gift.

I ordered a puzzle from a photo and when it arrived all the pieces were super small and too way too thin to even work as a puzzle. I paid nearly $50 for this crap. This was not my first order with Shutterfly but definitely my last!

I ordered many Shutterfly mugs to be used as Christmas gifts. Most of the mugs were to be mailed directly to the gift recipients. In the past, mugs were always protected by styrofoam containers and then shipped in cardboard mailing boxes. But this year the mugs were shipped in just the styrofoam containers with the mailing labels slapped on them-- no mailing boxes at all. They look terrible. The styrofoam is all covered in mailing bruises and even chipped in places, as a result of being sent through the mail. I called to complain when the first gift arrived that way and was promised that none of the other gifts would be shipped like that. But that was a lie. All of them were shipped exactly like that. How disgusting to have gifts arrive in bruised, blackened, chipped styrofoam containers. One recipient even sent me a photo of the way the styrofoam-wrapped mugs arrived. I'm adding that photo to this review.

I used Shutterfly to send out around 40 cards and used their "We'll Mail Your Cards For You" option. I took the time to write a personalized message on each card then, using the addresses in my Shutterfly Address Book, matched the personalized card with the correct address. Shutterfly then prepared the order and mailed the cards for me. For some unknown reason, somebody in Production (I guess it was Production) randomly chose two of the 40+ personalized cards I prepared and mailed those only two cards to all 40+ of my recipients. No one got the card they were supposed to get. No one saw the personalized message I wrote to them. What made it worse was that one of the cards they sent out had a very personal, private message meant for that person's eyes only. But thanks to Shutterfly, numerous friends received that card and saw that very private message.
I am absolutely beside myself with anger. Obviously there was nothing they could do to remedy the colossal error; the damage was done. I demanded a full refund which I got but that doesn't undo the damage they did. I will never use them again...Not for cards, not for a personalized mug...Nothing. They offered a service...If you can't do it right, then don't offer it.

I ordered 4 mugs printed with my granddaughter's HS graduation photos. Since Shutterfly works with Lifetouch who does her school photos, I assumed graduation year info would be included on the mugs as Lifetouch does on their photo packages. Mugs arrived without the graduation year and family members all commented on the omission. It also wasn't a good impression when told that it was done by Shutterfly. I contacted Shutterfly via chat support and Yolanda was rather dismissive of my concerns. I asked her about their 100% satisfaction guarantee so proudly displayed on their website...and she simply replied "thank you for feedback. I will pass it on." What an atrocious company.

I used to order cards every year from Shutterfly. Ordered 11/27 and got pixelated and blown out cards. Customer service said resolution was 'too good'. They re-ordered and now are lost. Nice customer service people who are helpless in resolving any issues - company quality control is gone. Also had issue with Spoonflower since they bought them. Better off using MPIX or Walgreens.

I ordered well in advance this year as I needed to send out early as we were going on vacation. My Christmas Cards are just GONE! They just went missing and Shutterfly has no explanation as to what happened. So upset as now I am unable to get these out on time. VERY DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMER. Have used them for years and it seems like the company may be having internal problems as this is happening often lately. I guess I need a new company.

I ordered our photo book and an ornament with plenty of time to get them mailed before Christmas but here we sit with nothing and a poor tracking system between UPS and the good old US Postal Service. Postal Innovations what a joke. Each side just blames the other and the customer is the only one who loses out. Shutterfly has lost me as a customer in the future. Trying to contact Shutterfly is impossible. Piss poor customer service, they just type the same lame excuses over and over.

Every year I vow to never use Shutterfly again. This time I mean it. Terrible and counter intuitive web site and process, inaccurate addressing and truly bad customer service by chat. I asked Vishu ** a question 5 different ways and he/she never did help me. Order received was inaccurate and time consuming to correct.

I have ordered photo books from this company previously without issues. I placed a large order for 3 large canvas prints for a gift for daughter - it was delayed with no notification to me - I also used my Amazon Prime discount which was not really a discount - I ended up not using it because the promo was more of a discount (disappointing and deceptive advertising). When the order was not shipped, I used the site chat with no luck. The second time I used the site chat, they suggested that I place another order at no charge to me. This order did not come either, so I cancelled the order and asked for a refund which I got. The initial order was stuck in a post office in South Carolina according to the tracking info. I would not recommend Shutterfly to anyone. They cannot seem to get a product to you.

Horrible!!!! Took forever to get my order and I could have pasted bad photocopies on paper, never will use them again. Don’t waste your money. It looks like a child pasted them on a page. I could do a better myself. So disappointed in every way.

Horrible. I order Christmas cards to be delivered and after email upon email of telling me they have production delays, I still haven’t received them over 2 weeks later. When I called customer service, their solution was they can reorder them and try to out a rush, but had no guarantee of when I would receive the cards. I don’t understand how reordering would help?!? Use anybody else, just not Shutterfly.

READ REVIEWS!!!! If I could give them a negative rating, I would. I placed two orders totaling over $160.00 only to receive horrible quality photos! I contacted the company to at least get refunded for the photos I received (as I was still waiting on 3 larger prints to come). They only were willing to refund me a quarter of what I paid. Well lo and behold, I received my three large prints only to be just as dissatisfied. Talking to their customer service was like talking to a brick wall. Two hours and two separate days of dealing with customer service and walking them through the math to finally give me my full refund. Save yourself the time and headache and use a different company!

I placed an order for Christmas cards and labels. Shutterfly is so backwards, you can't place an order for 2 items on the same order. You must order each individually with separate order numbers. My Costco discount did not populate on my 2 orders so I called to get my discount and found that shutterfly had the wrong costco member number in their system for my orders. I corrected them as I was told they have a new system? (I have bought from them for the last 5 years so it has always been the same costco number.) I was told that even though it was shutterfly's fault, not mine they still could not credit me back the 51% costco discount on my $275,00 order. Therefore, I asked to cancel both of my orders. They told me they could not cancel my orders, so I should decline receipt of my orders and have them sent back? Pathetic customer service. They obviously do not appreciate return customers. I will never buy from them again!!!!

I am beyond frustrated with Shutterfly. I placed an order that was extremely important and even paid an extra $20 for urgent shipping to make sure it arrived on time. I also called their customer service five days ago to confirm that everything was on track and explained clearly that I needed it by November 4th. Today, I was informed that they lost my entire order. No explanation, no real solution, and definitely no sense of urgency or accountability. The representative just said they “couldn’t locate it” — as if that’s acceptable when a customer has paid extra and relied on them for something time-sensitive and meaningful.
This order wasn’t just a casual purchase — it was something of huge personal importance, and Shutterfly completely failed to deliver. Their customer service was unhelpful, indifferent, and careless. For a company that claims to help people “share life’s joy,” they’ve done the exact opposite. I will never use Shutterfly again, and I strongly suggest others avoid them — especially if your order actually matters.

I will no longer be using Shutterfly if they continue to use UPS mail Innovations to send packages. This is the second time my photos have not arrived on time. In May 2025 package arrived almost two weeks late. This time my package is LOST. UPS does not allow a claim if using a UPS mail Innovations tracking number. As I was tracking the package a notice came on Sept 29 up stating "No access to location" ...WHAT ?? I live in a non gated typical tract home neighborhood.
Everyday Shutterfly updates the shipment date with the next day as the date for delivery. This is October 4 and still no communication from UPS or USPS. The communication with UPS is non existent to find the package. Shutterfly made the choice to use UPS Mail Innovations Expedited..... and it has been horrible. I spoke to Shutterfly and they are replacing the photos etc but they are still using UPS Mail Innovations to send the package.. SO, we will see when that package arrives..if ever....

I had 300 plus pieces of photos printed at Shutterfly and the quality is very poor. I don’t recommend this. Just go to Walmart or Walgreens to get your photos printed. I am very disappointed. I feel like I just waste my money here.

I ordered a Wedding Album and cannot be happier! Shutterfly took a wedding event and turned it into memories that will last for years! From its leather cover, to rounded corners gold gilded and thick pages along with high quality photo printing, the wedding album is IMPRESSIVE! I used Shutterfly’s designer service. We uploaded the photos in the order we wanted them displayed and (with a notation that we wanted photos in the order presented) the designer did an excellent job. Thru Shutterfly’s editing program we made a few edits. Within 2 weeks we received the Wedding Album boxed in a black keepsake box with the album placed in a black cloth envelope and couldn’t be happier. THANK YOU SHUTTERFLY FOR THE MEMORIES!

Do NOT sign up to assist Shutterfly with any test site. Any work you do will be lost if not ordered before the deadline. I spent hours creating two albums only to have the albums "locked" until the site goes live in 2026. UTTERLY ASSININE way to treat customers (and I just spent $800 on albums). Their albums are VERY expensive but I justified this with the ease of uploading photos from my phone and unlimited storage. BUT hours of work gone (while the albums are still there in the test site).. is just one customer service SNAFU too far. BAD customer service for overpriced products

PetSmart was giving free mugs to customers that they could create on Shutterfly. So I created one of my cat last week. Fast forward to today when I received it and it was great! Photo and font were perfect. Mug looked exactly like the online image. Overall, super cute mug and I would 100% create another one through here.

I have ordered a lot of books from Shutterfly in the last 20 years, but their quality has slipped considerably, and I am done. One example--multiple times in the last book, full-page photos did not print full-page (a white boundary at top or bottom was showing). I complained, they reprinted, but nothing changed. There has to be a better option out there.

Pathetic. Unable to place photos in a book where I would have wanted them, and in spite of choosing an order to the photos (from oldest to newest), Shutterfly placed them randomly. When I called to get help, the person I spoke with seemed unable to muster interest in helping. The website itself is incredibly cluttered and just simply moving your mouse brings up all kinds of hidden pages (that are ridiculously distracting!). Why you cannot provide a simple drag and drop process from a folder of photos to choose from is beyond me. Their prices are also insanely high.

I have ordered numerous books thru Shutterfly without any problems. This order has been totally different. I had to contact them to find out when my order would process and ship because I'd heard nothing about a production delay. Was told there WAS a delay and that they would expedite my order so it would ship on the day it was originally indicated I would receive it. They also offered me a 25% refund of the total I paid. Refund was processed to my credit card immediately as agreed. Yesterday I got a product shipping notice. When I tracked the USPS number provided, info said it was delivered 5/24/25 to a Hawaii address!! I placed my order in July so this was incorrect info.
Chatted with same rep I had previously this morning and, after 10 minutes online, still had no resolution except asking me to wait for "2 minutes" repeatedly to clarify issue. At one point they wondered if they had lost my connection with them. (I think they were hoping so!) After the third time with this same wait 2 minutes message, I told them I couldn't wait any longer and would not be doing any further business with Shutterfly. Too many issues including poor communication. If I don't receive this in the next week, I am going to file a claim with my credit card company for the balance of my order (which was expensive, even with coupon). Very disappointed.

Ordered pictures and paid excessive fees for expedited delivery. Shutterfly customer service was dismissive and refused to assist or refund even the shipping. Then they lied in the charge back claim made with the credit card.

So, apparently, I should have read these reviews before making a book for my boss's retirement. I made the book without any issues once I got the hang of formatting, etc. I paid extra to have the book sent with 2 day delivery. The day of delivery, like everyone else, I got an email stating that my book was not coming. Are you serious? So I contact customer service and get some bs about there was a surge in orders and we're really sorry, blah, blah, blah. I was told that the cost for the expedited shipping would be refunded and that they would expedite the book. NOW you're going to expedite it? When I was asked when I would like the book, I said today, the day I was supposed to receive it. It's ridiculous. If you can't produce the items in time, then let people know before they order or at the very least, not on the day it's supposed to be delivered.

DO NOT ORDER FROM SHUTTERFLY!!! INCOMPETENT If I could give a 0 star I would!! They literally ruined our family event. I paid $30 to get the priority shipping which was still 6 days out (That was the soonest). Our family photo book that we were presenting as a family to my mother in law was to arrive on a Tuesday. We had the event set up on a Friday so plenty of time. We had 8 family members from around the country here for it. Received an email that Tuesday morning (when it should have been on my doorstep) that my order that is supposed to be arriving in a few days (no supposed to be here today) was going to be a while longer! Long story - had many calls - got many different lies and dates from their customer service and no book arrived. We had the event with no presentation. Family had to fly back. To say our family was upset is an understatement!!!

I ordered 9 12” x 12” tiles, but instead I received ONE tile with 9 pictures on it. ONE tile for $72.00! I contacted customer service and received only $36 credit, not a full refund that was promised! I wanted 9 tiles to fill this wall. Pictured is what I received! What a scam!

I have been using Shutterfly for over 12 years and had 39 projects printed, almost all were 8x8 photo books of trips. Prior experience was that product was very good so I have continued to use them. However, recent three projects were disappointing. On one, the cover spine was printed horizontal rather than vertical. After a reprint and still spine printing was incorrect, Shutterfly issued a refund. On another recent project photos appeared hazy or dull. I assumed it was low pixel count, so I have "sharpened" future photos which helped. Finally, on two recent projects, a 1/16 or 1/8 inch white border appearing on bottom of many pages. For most recent printing, I am awaiting a reprint version because I estimate 75% of pages had the white border.

I’ve been using Shutterfly for a very long time for cards, specialty projects and of course prints. I think I’m ready to be done with them. Their shipping costs entirely too much - which does not even out with the proposed discounts. This Pitney Bowes shipping company they use takes forever to get you the very expensive shipped item(s) and it’s so glitchy to get it to track. Makes me sad - like I’m leaving an old friend but it’s just not worth it anymore.

Avoid Shutterfly at All Costs – Repeated Failures and Abysmal Customer Service. I rarely leave reviews, but after two separate experiences with Shutterfly where my orders failed to arrive on time — despite repeated reassurances from customer service — I feel compelled to warn others: stay far away from this company. Shutterfly’s customer service is not just ineffective — it’s an outright disaster. On this most recent order, I contacted support three separate times. Each time, a representative confidently confirmed my order had shipped and would arrive on time. Spoiler alert: it didn’t. Again.
This isn’t a one-off fluke. The same thing happened previously, and I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Shame on me. It’s clear now that Shutterfly's internal systems are either broken or their reps are reading from a script and hoping you'll go away quietly. There’s a total lack of accountability, urgency, or even basic follow-through. There are plenty of alternatives in the photo printing and gift space — companies that actually value their customers and deliver when they say they will. Shutterfly has shown me twice now that they are not one of them. I will never use them again, and I strongly urge anyone reading this to save themselves the time, money, and frustration by looking elsewhere. Your memories deserve better.

Shipping is expensive and horrible! For the past 3 days, tracking says my order will arrive that day and then late in the day it changes to the next day - when do I get my photos!?! Walgreens prints as well and are ready in minutes.

The photo book we received from Shutterfly was disappointing. It was for my sister's 80th birthday and was pricey given the quality. Some of the photos turned out way too dark and some were blurry even though when you look at them online they are tack sharp. Would NOT use them again.

Very good luck with several Shutterfly photo books. I have tried several in different sizes, mostly with the standard paper finish and soft cover (you can add hard cover, lay flat and different paper surfaces for extra charge). Print quality is quite good, binding and cover are also good, and with periodic discounts (like unlimited pages) I have been very happy with the price. There are other upgrades that I have not tried yet, but the standard quality is quite good already. I did not give 5 stars due to a few missing book features like page numbers and repeating headings and footings, but you can add those manually if you have the patience. Even with that I am ordering more. Everyone who sees them is surprised at the quality. I will keep on ordering more.

I wish I could give Shutterfly 0 stars. My 12-year-old niece tragically died suddenly, and we needed to have photo boards printed for the funeral. Her mother painstakingly put together 6 photo boards and we paid the $49.99 expedited shipping fee. We got a notification that the order was "delayed" the day they were supposed to arrive. I immediately chatted with customer service and they refunded the expedited shipping as a gift card, as if I would EVER shop there again. I called on the phone, eventually escalated the call 3 times. They tried to get rid of me several times and promised a call back by end of day, even though the funeral was in 48 hour and this was Friday at 5 pm. I told the agent that I absolutely did not have time to wait until the end of the day, I needed the boards NOW.
Eventually, I get "Diane for the leadership team". She was the most uncaring, cold, unhelpful woman I have had the displeasure of dealing with. She did not even try to help me at all. I asked if they could overnight the boards. She just kept repeating over and over that she did not have the capabilities to help. I asked if she could send the files to a local print shop. She did not even listen and kept repeating that she couldn't help. My niece's funeral is in 48 hours and SHUTTERFLY caused us to not have any photos of her AT HER FUNERAL. DO NOT SHOP AT SHUTTERFLY!!!

Shutterfly did not inform me that my pictures would not be cropped so they fit on the photo. Now I have pictures that only show half of the print or only 2/3 of the picture shows up. Very very disappointed in Shutterfly. Will not be using them again.

Shutterfly seems running a home-based business as of 2025. 11x14 prints are from 16x20 prints, with free shipping advertisement, I paid $30 for expiated shipping and now, still waiting for the 16x20 orders “waiting to be picked up by USPS”, after 7 days, an entire week. If I upload this at a local print shop I can get it in 20 minutes, right? The speed and big talk culture from the infamous s. Asia country. Not to mention that I received bunch spam/phishing emails all popped up after since my orders….geared to rob me…!

Before Shutterfly I had hundreds of my photos stored on Kodak's website (Since 2010). Years ago Kodak's website closed down and transferred all customers photo storage to Shutterfly. I’ve never had issues with downloading my own photos until now. Shutterfly won’t allow me to download my own photos unless I make a purchase. They’re holding my photos hostage. I would have to screenshot and edit every photo to pull them out of their website. Do not store your photos through Shutterfly and I refuse to make a purchase for this reason and the quality of their photos and products are horrible which is another reason I won’t allow them to take my money. I’m better off spending my money at Walgreens for better quality overall.

I started using Shutterfly in 2010. After a few years I found apps I like better and stopped using it. I left my photos on their site. Now they are telling me that I must make a purchase every 18 months or my photos will be archived and will be inaccessible to me. I call this holding my photos hostage. I have been trying to download my photos but they don't make it easy. Instead of leaving the original name of the photo, e.g. IMG_1234, they assign a 30-digit number to each one. Plus they do not seem to download in the same order I specified. It's not easy to get my photos out of there before they archive them.

I am a Professional Photographer. Ordered a Photobook from Shutterfly at 50% off, I thought it was a deal! What I did not know was the Quality of the Photobook is also 50% off LOL!! Thin like a tortilla (ordered 6 extra pages), pages quality is late 90's early 2000's. The images had no color depth (remember math books). Add insult to injury Box it came in is thin, flimsy and all torn up (see pic). Other side was taped up like shipper put tape to keep it in .... Stay away from this shady business. Paid $106.75 total with 50% off deal.

The photobook binding was low quality, stiff and cracking. Shutterfly offered a re-do with note to check what was wrong with the photobook and the second photobook was worse than the first as it already is cracked binding without even opening it.

If I could give ZERO stars I would. 1) Shutterfly INVADED MY PRIVACY by PULLING PHOTOS FROM MY IPad THAT I NEVER UPLOADED and “creating ornaments" for me. I’m Jewish. 2) I have had their “designers” designing photo books for me — five FAILED photo books going back 3 months. 3) I put in VERY SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS — they ignored ALL my instructions and even ignored the basic book template that I chose. 4) I have WASTED OVER 30 HOURS because Shutterfly LIES TO YOU. They must use AI or people who can’t understand English and their own layouts because I received GARBAGE. 5) Their book editing process is horrible. You can’t move photos between pages. Do NOT TRUST THIS HORRIBLE FIRM TO DO ANYTHING RIGHT BY YOU. Obviously I did not order a book from them.

Shutterfly modified our Family photo before printing/sending us our Christmas Cards! We didn't inspect carefully, and mailed these to 90+ family and friends. Among the many changes, they added sneakers under our son (who was in socks), and added a left foot on the right leg of a grandson. Ordered Christmas cards for Christmas 2024 early, but still have not received my cards but they did charge my visa card.....I start out positive each holiday season but as Christmas nears I become very agitated. Seems that my Cards are sitting somewhere in North Carolina!!! Clearly They will not be here in Montana till who knows when. I'm not going to apologize but I will no longer be doing business with Shutterfly.

On November 24, 2024, I ordered my Christmas cards. There was a half off special that day, which I did not receive. Several times I went through the long and tedious process of getting to speak to someone who would “certainly make me happy.” After much time on many calls, I was told they could not help me. I have done some business with them before, but I think now I will try someone else. Very frustrated and upset. The receipt should be on the site. I tried to sign in, but I wasn’t allowed.

In the last 2 years Shutterfly has gone downhill for quality and customer service. I ordered Christmas cards Dec 1, order was "lost" (they told me this after 3 calls to customer service). They cancelled and resubmitted my order and now claim, I might get them by the 23rd. Too late for my overseas mailing. I am beyond upset! My last call to them they wouldn't even expedite and ship overnight. Shutterfly USED TO BE great. Not anymore. Sadly.

These people messed up on my previous order. I chatted with someone about resolving the issue. I was informed I would get a replacement. I was able to place a new order. However, before it shipped my order was canceled. Therefore, this company did not only keep my money, but lied about replacing my order and making it right. The mess up was on this company that failed to follow directions on my order. I have ordered from this company before and I was very pleased with the outcome. However, I will never order from them again and nor will I ever recommend this company to anyone. This company lies to the customer, therefore they have lost my business.

I placed an order for seven Christmas cards on December 2nd, but after 10 days, I received only three of them. I contacted customer service, and while they waived the shipping cost, I was informed that the remainder of the order would not arrive until around December 22nd. Unfortunately, this timeline does not allow sufficient time to send the cards before Christmas. This has been a very disappointing experience.

Spent 6+ hours creating 3 projects for gifts. Their terrible app got stuck in a loop on check out and would not proceed with to purchase the items. Customer support suggested uninstalling app and said they saved my cart to projects. They did not. Lost all the projects and time spent on them, their compensation, a $5 coupon. What a joke. Do not recommend doing business with Shutterfly!

Received an order of approx 250+ photos of ANOTHER FAMILY NOT IN MY ORDER(s) in addition to only HALF of MY order. I called customer service on 12/6- was told I would have an email by the next day. Next day came and no email. I chatted with another rep online- was told it could take up to 48 hrs to have the email with return label. 48 hours passed. No email. Chatted with ANOTHER customer rep online who told me “per policy it takes 3-5 working days to have an email with return instructions”.
Why did it take THREE DIFFERENT PEOPLE TO TELL ME THREE DIFFERENT ANSWERS. This is insane, absurd, unnecessarily complicated and a horrible way to handle service. I haven’t had an issue with this company until this season. This is not the only issue I have had but this is by far the most annoying one. I don’t appreciate being told multiple answers for the same question by reps for the same company. Who knows if I’ll ever get an email at this point. I feel sad for the family whose photos I did receive and did not order.

The WORST customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Very poor quality Holiday Cards, I called and they said I would be able to get a 100% refund, then I ordered cards from another company which came out great! I called Shutterfly back to follow up on the refund and the person on the phone named "Kamani" was incredibly rude and was not listening to me and kept cutting me off. They refused to let me speak to a manager and kept me on hold for over an hour. It was close to $200 that I needed back. So ridiculous. NEVER use this company.

Very disappointed in my 11X16 framed photo 'tile'. It was never explained that a 'tile' was a piece of corrugated cardboard with pictures painted on it. Looked like a part of an Amazon shipping box. Poorly done, can't give it as a gift. Will look for another picture company that produces quality work and not overpriced.

I brought 3 jigsaw customized puzzles from Shutterfly. The quality of the puzzles is awful. Even after I glued the puzzle together, the puzzle glue will not stick to the puzzle. Also, they offered me a 20% discount with a code and when I put the code in that they gave me, they told me that the code is no longer valid. Shutterfly does not have good customer service, and they are not a good company to deal with.

Wanted to use a photo service other than the drugstore. Placing and paying for the order is easy enough. It's "Where is My Stuff?" that is the problem. Shipping updates are totally useless! Says delivery on one date, no delivery. Says out for delivery another time but no delivery. Now it says delivered AND STILL NO DELIVERY! Please avoid!

I ordered 1 deck of playing cards for $11.99 and 1 tote for 12.99. Shipping for these two items was close to $30.00. For this reason I would never recommend this company to anyone nor would I buy from them again. They have taken money from my account that I was not aware I would be charged. If I had known of these exorbitant/over-inflated shipping charges, I would have NEVER ordered these items. Their "fix" to this problem was to send me a $5 discount toward more purchases. No thanks.

I ordered 101 photo prints exactly a month ago and paid $5.99 in shipping. Now that they have a promo for free prints, I added the same amount - 101 photo prints (exact same product, just different photos) and now all of a sudden the shipping has more than doubled to $12.99. When I called to ask why, they only tell me that USPS sets the shipping prices, not them. But this is clearly not true since USPS was charging the same amount to ship last month as they are this month. This is definitely a way for Shutterfly to scam people into paying for their “free” prints and marking it as “shipping”. They’re mislabeling it so they can charge you even though they are advertising it as “free”.

We ordered some family photo enlargements to frame. 2 weeks later they are still not here. Could not get through to them - finally got someone in Nairobi of all places after a long wait who seemed new on the job. She was apologetic but had to start the process again. Better off going to CVS or some place local and not have to pay outrageous shipping costs which were more than the photo itself! The only reason we went to Shutterfly is because Costco decided to send all their business to them. Sucks!

I created a 23-page photo book of my wedding. I spent countless hours creating this book but noticed my option to save my project kept failing. I didn't leave the website, hoping it would resolve. Instead, it wiped out all my work but 7 pages. Customer service told me that the "Failed save" problem was an issue yesterday, but second level support believed it to be my computer's problem. The solution? A $15 discount. Gee thanks. Yep, taking my business elsewhere. I am beyond aggravated and don't trust their site.

I have been a Shutterfly customer for over 16 years. I logged into Shutterfly to upload pictures and realized all of my pictures from the last 16+ years have been deleted. I was hopeful it was a glitch but after chatting with “Customer Service” I’ve since been told that if you don’t make a purchase in 18 months, they permanently delete all photos and projects. NEVER ONCE was I warned this was going to happen otherwise I would have gladly ordered something to keep the stored pictures available. I feel physically sick to my stomach knowing I have lost all pictures of my children from birth to current.

I'm making a gift basket for someone and needed a custom coffee mug to put in it so I ordered one from Shutterfly. I've been using them for years without any problems. It's been 2 weeks and I still haven't got the mug. I contacted them and they said they'd send me a new one expedited and I'd get it fast. It's been 4 days now and I still haven't got it. Every day I check the tracking on it and the delivery date gets pushed back. Today I got an email telling me it could be another 1-3 days. I'll not be buying from them again. This is ridiculous.

I had been a Shutterfly customer for 15 years until they were recently purchased by another company as they were apparently 900 million dollars in debt. The quality was good in the past. However, since the buyout, there has been major changes in Shutterfly that are not good. The quality is terrible for the extremely high prices that you are paying. The shipping cost is outrageous and I received a product that was damaged but could not get resolve from Customer Service. You can hardly reach them. I finally gave up. They cut off some of my prints, the quality was terrible. I went to Google and had them print my items and they came out fantastic as well as much cheaper. I will not be returning to Shutterfly. I am exhausted having to deal with their poor quality, high prices, and terrible customer service. Their selection base has been cut in half as well. Bye!

What a total rip off. I paid $71 for an 8X10 print on aluminum. I submitted a 5X7 original photo. What I got back was the 5X7 same size photo printed on a piece of 8X10 aluminum. And it's not even centered. They didn't bother to enlarge the print to fit the aluminum piece. Don't use this company.

I have ordered from Shutterfly many times. My last two orders were terrible. My book came damaged and it took multiple emails to finally resolve. Asked for same info multiple times. Then I ordered pictures to do my own book. Almost all were partially cut off, especially the ones with words. Will NEVER use Shutterfly again!!

Very disappointed with Shutterfly! It is just impossible to speak to anyone at Shutterfly Customer Service number (877) 284-9610. I went through a series of steps and waiting over 9 minutes and everyone I was told my wait time is 0 minutes. Finally, the automated voice said I am being connected to a representative and nothing happened. I waited several minutes for a customer service rep to come online but then my call was disconnected.

Very disappointed. When I worked on the project the colours in the pictures on my computer were bright and vibrant. The finished product they sent, many pictures were dull and washed out. Money wasted using Shutterfly.

Uploading my pictures was a painfully slow process, there is no readily apparent way to upload from a file on my computer. After I had finally uploaded the pictures (about 30 minutes for 3 pictures), I processed the order. However, the autofill address they used from a prior order was no longer accurate, and the only way to change the mailing address was to cancel the whole order. I placed the same order on Walmart in about 10 minutes.

Christmas cards arrived late and incorrectly printed, they sent another set saying they would give us a discount and half the design was not printed on them as well and they arrived after Christmas. They now want us to ship the cards back to them in order to get a full refund and call them back again (already sat on hold multiple times with them) in order to actually get our refund. I can't believe Costco let Shutterfly take over their printing solution. This company is selling substandard products, shipping them in insufficient packing and it seems their estimate of arrival changes after you place you order. I had ordered 3 things from them. First was a print that came in one of their triangular tubes without a cardboard tube stiffener. It had gotten flattened, the print was ruined. The second item was a print that had some very vivid colors in it, came back all washed out. Sent them a picture of my print at home comparted to theirs, couldn't believe they were sending this stuff out. Third was a calendar, also all pictures were washed out, and some more on one side than the other. They were good enough to give me a refund, but what a bunch of trouble for nothing.

I ordered two personalized mugs with pictures. One mug I never even received. The other was sent to me in horrible pixelated photo quality. Reached out to customer service. They stated it was an issue with production, the pictures I uploaded were fine and shipped another out to me. They guaranteed it would come with better quality. Received the second mug, and it looked the same exact way. Contacted customer service yet again. This representative said it was because the auto enhance feature was on. Stated she would send me out another mug, which will not be here until after Christmas. Now I have no presents to give. One mug was never delivered, the other I kept getting the run around with the quality. I should have learned my lesson when I ordered a pillow a few years ago that came in horrible quality. I will not be ordering from Shutterfly anymore. It’s a shame because their products used to be great.

My order was supposed to arrive today so I was delighted yesterday when I received a delivery notification. I rushed home so I could address and mail the cards. Not there. Went up and down the street looking nowhere. Shutterfly insisted first that they had been delivered. They hen said they would reprint them and get to me as fast as possible. This morning I saw no sign of the reprint being processed. Customer service denied the offer to reprint. They said the order would arrive today. Nope. Did not arrive. The website says they were delivered. The post office will not allow a claim because the package was uninsured. The total cost was $200. On my last call with them today I asked either refund or reprint. They refused to do either and hung up on me.

The cards arrived missing the stock graphics that should have been printed on all cards of that design. I called and described the problem. And I waited. Like many of the other recent reviews on here, I placed an order on 12/9 that were Christmas gifts. Expected delivery is 12/19 (today) - 12/21 and the order status has weirdly been stuck at "Being Created" since I placed the order, so I decided to call and check on it to be safe. First, it's nearly impossible to get their bot answering service to transfer you to a human, but I finally got someone. They said one of the items was out of stock but acknowledged that I received zero notifications about this, and it was unlikely it would arrive on time. They offered no other solutions. I also placed an order earlier this year for photo prints and they arrived damaged and were not so great quality wise. Costco made a very bad decision partnering with Shutterfly.

I am so disappointed with Shutterfly. I used to use them in the past, but discontinued use of their services because of an issue with them. Now, I have attempted to use them once again because they were an option through Costco. I ordered my Holiday cards with my family photos on them on Dec. 8th and was given an arrival date of Dec. 15th. On December 15th, I got an email stating that they were very busy and my order would be delayed. They didn't give me an actual date of when they would be arriving so I called. The representative proceeded to tell me that my cards wouldn't be delivered until December 21st. I explained that this was unacceptable as my goal was to have my Holiday cards reach the intended destinations before or by Christmas.
The 1st representative told me that they would transfer me to their manager for assistance and placed me back in the queue where I was on hold for another 20 mins! After explaining my dilemma to the next representative (who was not a manager,) they told me that they could get my cards to me sooner and would send them 2 day shipping. Well today (December 18th) I checked and the shipment shows that they wouldn't be arriving until December 20th!
So not only did they lie to me about sending the cards via 2-day shipping, they are still getting my shipment to me late and they didn't notify me that my shipment would be late until the day it was supposed to arrive! This didn't leave me with a time option to use another company. I am so disappointed! "1st time, shame on you. 2nd time, shame on me!" I should have learned from previous experiences and the reviews about them. I will never use their service again and Costco should reconsider offering them as a vendor option!!

I paid for expedited shipping to get my Christmas cards within 8 days of my order and then I get a tracking email that says it will be two days later. I ordered cards 12/10 for a delivery date of 12/18 and now I'm told they won't be delivered until 12/20. That makes a BIG DIFFERENCE! When trying to get the cards mailed out to be received by Christmas. I never had problems like this when I ordered directly through Costco.

It is December 16th and I am still awaiting my Christmas cards. I had them ready to go November 20th, and uploaded a final photo while traveling internationally December 3. The cards were supposed to arrive by December 14th--which was much later than I would have expected. The site still says my order, after 2 weeks, is "being created", and it is December 16th. I received an obtuse email yesterday stating "production" problems, and the delivery date is unknown. I leave for the holidays soon, which means my Christmas cards will not go out until well after New Year's. How embarrassing. How aggravating.
For customer service, the site advises to use Live Chat. It isn't "live" at all. It is a virtual assistant, which is totally unhelpful. Then, when you call, you are told the wait time is 3 minutes. And you get that message for 15 minutes. When you finally get a rep, they can tell you nothing. This is the 4th year in a row I've had problems with this company, but nothing this bad. I'm apparently a slow learner but will never use this company again. And suggest you do not either.

On Dec. 3 I ordered two identical ornaments which I created for my granddaughters, of a special trip last summer. Then, 2 days later, I ordered one to be shipped to our house for us as a keepsake. I kept checking to see if the original order was shipped, and it kept saying it was in production. Then I received notification that the second order had shipped! If the second order is identical to the first one, why can’t they make two more and ship them?!?!
I spent over an hour on the phone with customer service and also via chat, after getting two case numbers. The first person on the phone told me I would have them by the end of next week 12/22. The chat agent said they would ship it out on 12/22 and I’d have it after Christmas. I said that was unacceptable! I have been a customer of Shutterfly for 15 plus years and never had anything like this happen. I was told that if I did not receive my order by after Christmas, then they would expedite it to me. That was the final straw, I cancelled the order. So disappointed with Shutterfly! Poor customer service and poorly run company!

I have been ordering from Shutterfly for 15+ years. I absolutely LOVE that you can use multiple Promo Codes and watch your price drop right in front of your eyes!!! I always feel like I got a "GREAT DEAL". This year, I had 3 PROMO Codes, but only 1 worked (Free shipping, 20% off, BOGO Calendar). I reached out to Customer Service, and they are ABSOLUTELY WORTHLESS! They downright lied to me and said that my promos were applied. The only promo code that worked was BOGO. Grrrr. That's fine... Next year, I will find a different place to purchase 6 calendars for my family. It looks like Shutterfly is about ready to lose a bunch of customers, based on all of the 1 star reviews that I am reading! Oh well... Sucks to be them!

Ordered metal ornaments as gifts and although all the same a few did not line up and had white space rather than the photo image on them. When contacted Shutterfly reordered but the updated delivery was literally right before Christimas and was not expedited by them. (full month from original order date). Ordered cards that were excluded from "free shipping" deep in the details of the promo. Paid the shipping.
Estimated date they were off by a full week as the estimated delivery date they were still in production. (Shutterfly issue not shipping issue.) When contacted the only response by Shutterfly was they are receiving lots of card orders this time of year. No kidding, that's their business and they need an ability to meet customer demands and expectations. No credit, no discount, not even the shipping refunded. Still waiting for cards with estimated shipping delivered over a week late. 0/2 this year. Will likely order other items I typically do (canvas/calendar) from other competitors. 100% satisfaction guarantee is not what it used to be and should be removed from website.

I had been using Shutterfly for many years, and never had a problem with the quality of the prints. Last time I used Shutterfly, however, I was shocked at how flimsy the paper used for the prints was. Maybe this is because I got the online deal where you get free prints? Maybe they use cheaper paper when you take advantage of that offer, but if so it was not indicated to me when I made the order. When I called customer service to complain, she didn't know what I was talking about. So I threw them away, and I am looking for a new online photo processor.

I ordered 100 Christmas cards and used a promo code for 20 additional free cards. I never received the free cards. “Dian” tried to tell me that I paid for 80 and 20 were free. Then, she tried giving me store credit for 20, but wanted me to pay almost $11 in tax and shipping. When I did not agree, she wanted me to pay $8.61 in shipping. I told her I should be paying zero dollars for a mistake I did not make. Then, she had the nerve to offer me a $5 gift card and wanted me to still pay the balance. I asked for her name, asked for a supervisor, and told her this service was unacceptable. She did not provide me a name until I insisted after 4 requests. She also did not turn this case over to a supervisor. I told her I wouldn’t confirm my address until she gave me her name. When I told her this should not be so difficult and taking up so much of our time, she blamed it on her supervisor not being readily available to approve everything being free.
We had already been on the text chat for over 90 min. at that point! In the end, she credited my account in total, took 2 tries to fix my shipping address to be the correct one, and wasted 2 hours and 1 minute of my time to rectify an error on their end that should have been resolved in less than 10 minutes. Terrible customer service by Dian. Buyer beware! They probably should fix their website so that adding the 20 free cards is also more user friendly. I won’t be using them anymore. They lost a longtime customer.

I paid extra and ordered envelopes with liners. The liners came separately and you had to insert and peel off a label on each envelope!! The picture color looked washed out as well. I am so dissatisfied!!

I purchased two 11x14 prints. They both came less than 11x14 and didn't fit into my standard frame. I've used other printers without a problem and figured I'd give Shutterfly a try. A big disappointment since the prints were not sized correctly and they wouldn't refund my shipping. They wanted to give me a Shutterfly credit. Really? I'm not going to use them again so what's the point? If I could, I'd give them 0 out of 5.

I've purchased canvas prints through Costco for years, and have been extremely happy with the quality and price. I've just now tried to purchase a couple of custom mugs and one canvas print through Costco-Shutterfly. OMG! Total nightmare!!! I've spent over two hours (it is so slow and impossible to maneuver through without, very frustrating) and wound up with just the the mugs (overpriced). Absolutely could not get the canvas print.
Finally found a canvas that would get the whole picture in but had a white frame around the front of the print that looked terrible! Couldn't remove the white frame. And the canvas prints are expensive! I would say almost double what Costco charged. And Shutterfly charges for shipping ($12 for a maybe shipping timeline, $14 for a tracking number?) I never had a problem with Costco photo center, loved it!!! I can't imagine why they would send their customers to this business??? EXTREMELY disappointed with this business AND Costco for sending us to this, very lacking, business?! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

When the blanket arrived, it was very thin and the Sherpa material was literally shedding in my hands so I can’t imagine what it will do in the washing machine. I have ordered desk calendars that I created with my own photos for the last few years. I just received my order for this year, but the quality has CRASHED AND BURNED! Not only did the box come completely smashed, the quality of the photos is horrendous. Everything is washed out and looks over-exposed. None of the colors of my original photos was maintained. I will NEVER order from this company again and am in the process of demanding a full refund for this shoddy workmanship. I ordered a custom bandana as a demo to promote business. Once received and checked we would order 100 or so. Went through the online order process and paid. Got the email that everything was set and order was being processed. Two weeks later...nothing. Checked and saw order was "tracking" but only label was printed. Went to online help because a call didn't work. They reordered my product and said, "Sooo sorry, we will get it right out to you." Two weeks later...same thing. I gave up. They wanted to give me a 50% OFF coupon...? Seriously, how about telling me what happened and how you were going to fix the problem.

I ordered 16-8x10 prints and 4-5x7 prints of professionally taken family photos. In the past I've ordered my prints through Costco and have always been impressed with the quality and care taken with them being shipped. Since Costco is no longer doing prints and has merged with Shutterfly I assumed that the quality would be exceptional as well. I was wrong. Shipping was slow, when the prints arrived the super thin envelope was damaged, warped, and bent in the middle and at the corners with a tear in the side. Nowhere on the envelope was it marked "Do Not Bend" or "Fragile".
Upon opening there was no thick cardboard holding the prints sandwiched between them insuring that they are secure and to prevent damage. It was just the prints. All of the prints are wavy and rippled with bent corners. I wonder if they were exposed to moisture during shipment? I tried putting them in between heavy books to smooth them out for a few days, it didn't help. When I put them in the frames you can clearly see the waves and ripples and the prints don't sit flush with the matte frame, there are gaps everywhere. Even with taping and placing a thicker piece of cardboard between the back of the picture/frame backing.
As far as the quality, the prints are printed on extremely thin, flimsy, and cheap paper. The images themselves are very low quality and fuzzy, the coloring looks almost like it's been blown out and has a yellow-orange tint to them, like the printer was low on ink. I didn't edit or retouch the photos, they were all done professionally and had no indications of these issues/colors appearing when viewed on multiple monitors/devices.
I prefer matte prints, everywhere near me only offers glossy for in-store pick up. Matte was only available to be shipped to home. I ended up ordering glossy same day prints to pick up from Walgreens because I'm leery of ordering prints in the mail again. The Walgreen's quality was far superior (in every aspect) to the ones I received from Shutterfly. No issues at all like I mentioned above. I tried contacting Shutterfly's customer service for a refund but was unable to get an actual representative to speak to. I'm leaving my review here because I couldn't find a place for reviews on their website. I'm disappointed that Costco would partner with them. I wouldn't recommend giving your business Shutterfly. I'll be sure to do my research next time.

I'm so upset. All my old photos are gone on Shutterfly. There was very little notice. I would purchase absolutely every photo I had on their site had I know they were going to delete everything. It was my understanding that nothing is ever gone once placed on the internet. There has to be a way to retrieve these photos. Does anyone have any thoughts. I don't need your advice on how to back up photos in the future, just wondering if there is any way to retrieve those that are just recently deleted.

Shutterfly deleted all of the photos in many "inactive" accounts (including ours) in April of 2023. Years of memories erased with minimal notice and no way to retrieve the files? We have contacted customer support via phone and chat and the response has been, "we are sorry, but there is nothing that can be done." They are a tech company. I cannot believe that they don't have point in time backups available. What if the system went down or was hacked? I regret trusting my personal memories with a corporation that is focused solely on profits.

I have used Shutterfly for about 13 years, never had a problem with anything I have ordered. Photo books, prints, enlargements, specialty frames. My problem is that now that they encourage you to load all these pictures, they want you to order something every year. I don't need something EVERY year. So now those older pictures are going to be done away with if I don't order. My advice is to just store your pictures on a thumb drive and use Walgreens for printing. Shop local.

I like many of Shutterfly’s products, however they are overpriced unless you’re looking at their promotional offerings. Unfortunately, they have made their promotions so complicated they never work without customer service support which seldom works. It’s so bad I’ve got to think it’s intentional. Circuitous phone menus and frequent disconnects after obscenely long wait periods, while the messaging on hold continuously tries to steer you to online chat. Online chat is stated as 24/7 but often is not staffed and when you are connected it’s worse than phone support. After 3 times spending an hour or more creating picture projects only to be frustrated and overcharged at checkout I quit. I won’t do it anymore.

I am extremely disappointed and downright angry that this company is cancelling share sites without giving its customers a way to transfer metadata (like image titles and captions). I have tried reaching out to them repeatedly over the past few weeks. I wait on hold forever and then am disconnected, or I do finally get a real person, I am assured someone will follow up with me. Weeks pass and I have to go through the cycle again. It is maddening and still nothing has happened. Save yourself a headache and work with a different company.

Shutterfly seems to be going out of business, despite near-daily marketing emails. Apparently buried in this stream was a message that photos of inactive customers would be deleted. I logged in to place an order and found I have nothing from 15+ years of orders and saved photos & projects. Quality of Shutterfly photo products was never exceptional, but we stuck with the company since our photos were stored there from a time before so many options were available. We are now filled with regret for not moving on.

I ordered a photo puzzle of our trip to Egypt as a Christmas gift for my husband. The images in the picture were good quality and the puzzle looks pretty good; but the quality of the puzzle is really poor. The puzzle pieces are so thin and flimsy that some were damaged on arrival. Once two pieces are connected they almost cannot be touched again or the least movement will cause them to separate. That makes it very difficult to actually connect all of the pieces together. The pieces are smallish and very unusually shaped, and the picture of the completed puzzle on the front of the box is very small. All of that contributes to making it a difficult puzzle. We also received a Christmas photo puzzle of our cats from a friend and the quality of that puzzle was excellent. I don't know about other Shutterfly products, but I recommend puzzleyou.com for photo puzzles.

I have dealt with Shutterfly in the past and all went well. This year, I decided to make another calendar and to get 8 of them. I spent a couple of days making and saving my project. The project, although saved disappeared. I was able to retrieve it after spending several hours wait to get a live person to fix things. I paid extra for shipping to get the calendars and to get tracking. Three times, Shutterfly sent me emails saying that they had shipped the calendars. Since I had tracking, I knew that they had not.
When I called, they admitted that they had a printing delay and the calendars were not even printed. After spending hours on hold, I was able to make sure that the calendars were printed and mailed. Then they sent me one calendar instead of five. I got nowhere with their "chat" so again I had to spend a long time waiting to speak to a real person. They cannot contact their print department so no sure word on when my calendars will show up. I think that they have deteriorated in the past couple of years.

They wanted to send me a replacement product and would not pay for me to return the defective product sent so after being on chat for over an hour they refunded me 100%. I ordered two custom Christmas ornaments which were photos of my two dogs and they were glitter dots stuck to the photo so you can’t even see the photos of the dogs! I tried to contact customer service and nobody answered. I emailed them and I’m hoping they are going to respond. However, just to be safe, I am disputing the charges on my credit card. So disappointing that a company so large doesn’t have the capacity to respond and provide appropriate customer service. I won’t order from them again!

I had worked for 5 days trying to select & fix pictures for an 8 x 11 personalized calendar. I kept getting message saying the pictures were blurry. I had it in my cart & spent hours every day trying to fix it. The price had always been $17.99. It is very tedious & time consuming selecting & downloading photos. I used to use Collage.com without any issues, but unfortunately they were bought out by another company & are no longer in business. I finally got it so that the pictures were as clear as they could get. Imagine my dismay when I went to check out & the price had jumped to $22.99. I live chatted with them & was told prices can go up whenever & there was nothing they could do. I told her I thought it was because it is Cyber Monday today & they are trying to rip people off. Used them for years. Always get mail with coupon codes for discount. Placed an order and forgot to use my coupon code, so I canceled the order and reordered using the code. The price ended up being higher than the previous canceled order price without using coupon code. Turns out they just really up the cost of the item and you get NO DEAL. Don’t waste your time with coupon codes, it’s false advertisement. Also the shipping is outrageous!!!

I have been user of Kodak gallery which rolled over to Shutterfly. So, to start with I didn't choose Shutterfly. It was forced on me. I had ordered many things in past through Kodak and Shutterfly too. No dramas. I Live in Australia and my parents in India. I created photo book of all our memories and wanted to give them surprise on specific date. I had placed order 1 month back. I had selected pics and written down description of each page. Over 2 -3 days of enthusiastic energy imagining they will enjoy end product when received. After being convinced, I placed order. To start with, none of their promo code works like Shippit or blah blah...I check in status of tracking after a week of due date and shocked to see items undeliverable and will be disposed off due to regulations. I got online and escalated calls. Some said they might have dropped letter to collect from local shop and other said you/recipient may have received email.
They used 3rd party courier without notifying me. Since it was surprise, I had not told my parents about it but now I had to reveal them. Upon checking with them online they said, "Sorry we can't control once it has left us. We can either refund or reorder." I can't afford to trust them another week and wanted to gift them so I said track the parcel and deliver. I gave them contact number of my father and email. On the email, address was incorrect to what I supplied. Local company said we can deliver only to address provided and Shutterfly said we only put address provided at time of order. Both made joke of my order.
Never ever use Shutterfly. They didn't provide any contact number of third party or their own. They have robots installed. No humans. Local delivery person didn't give his details too to my father....That company is UPS utterly rubbish. Whatever the outcome is, I will download my pics and cancel my account with them....If you are planning to create account with Shutterfly..Don't! Stop right now.

I used to be a fan of this company and have made several picture books that I was very pleased with. However, my latest experience with this company is my last. I ordered professional prints in multiple sizes. One of the prints is a 5x7 they printed but the prints they sent they had cut out part of the actual picture. The result was what looked like a floating head because they cut out the bottom of the print which was the chest. The worst was the two 8x10 prints they sent me. They put them in a paper envelope with only a very thin piece of cardboard for protection. The envelope is not even marked “pictures - don’t bend.” So, the envelope was stuck in the mailbox, bent. Reached out to them and they sent out a second order and those were packaged the same way and also arrived damaged.
I contacted them again and asked if they could be packaged with more protection and overnighted as these were gifts that were now late. I was told they could not overnight but they would expedite this order. The third order arrived in a week, which was only one day sooner than the last two orders. Guess what? Packaged the same way and arrived once again- damaged! This is totally unacceptable. There are too many other available companies to use. I’m done with Shutterfly. Think twice before you consider them.

I had used Shutterfly several times with no problems, but I recently went back to them for prints and got a blurry, unusable mess. The photos were taken with the same camera I had used before and in roughly the same lighting. It’s almost like they used a cheaper printer this time around. Whatever their problem is, all I know is, I’m switching to a different company for future pictures.

First off, I cannot use Chrome to view their websites. Shutterfly and Lifetouch both break when using incognito and normal modes. I had to download and install Brave to get it to work, and at that the website barely functions for Brave. This is the 3rd year in a row that the website has been a super hassle to use. Not recognizing Portrait ID's, Access Codes or School ID's. Secondly, after just purchasing digital images you do not receive your images with any promptness. I did not select any edits or touchups, just the digital images. And I have not received the images yet (as of several days of this writing). They need to look into hiring some better website designers.

BUT they REFUSED to pay shipping, so it would basically cost be the same amount that I originally paid when I received free shipping! What a scam! I will never use Shutterfly again. I purchased photos from Preschool Smiles under the advertisement that Preschool Smiles, Lifetouch and Shutterfly accounts are all linked and all albums are uploaded. Wrong! When I ordered from preschool smiles, I paid 85.00 for 10 5x7 photos, that were of poor quality. I tried to reorder at a cheaper price through shutterfly but only album uploaded and no one could help. The preschool smiles and lifetouch accounts are not linked which forces your order at a higher price... Almost triple the cost!

This is the second experience we’ve had with them regarding holiday mishaps. The latest…we received our New Year's cards extremely late. When we opened the packages, it was missing 6 of the 30 5x7 envelopes to send out. Plus, inside packages were ripped open. When contacting customer service, they stated they would ship the 6 missing, but it would take 5 days to get here. Prior to this order, they messed up 4 photo books as well. Thought we’d give them a second chance and same result. Steer clear of them. They have a low rating for a reason. No refund of any kind given.

If there is an issue, no rep will be able to help or answer even basic questions. I needed to order holiday cards that were to be inserted by Shutterfly into pre-addressed envelopes and mailed out to recipients. I paid over $800 for this service to 200 recipients and went through the process of preparing and sending Shutterfly a CSV file on their template.
I spoke to two reps on two different occasions for over two hours to make sure they understood what I needed and get proper instructions. They MESSED it up totally. Instead, each recipient got an orange Shutterfly envelope with an addressed stamp and card inside (so they can stuff the envelope themselves). Don’t rely on Shutterfly customer reps to know their services and products and definitely don’t rely on them to provide white glove services like handling all the mailings. Very embarrassing. If we use them again, we’ll make sure to stuff and mail our own envelopes. Incompetent customer service.

I had updates that stated the day they would be delivered and everyday it changed to the next day. I called my local post office and was told this is how Shutterfly operates. I placed an order for Christmas cards on Dec. 12. I received an email when I submitted the order stating that if there are any changes that needed to be made, I would receive an email requiring approval, otherwise it will print. I never received an email, so I went to the site to check on the status. I found it did need approval, and would be backed up even more. I canceled the order, as it wouldn't come until early January. Luckily, I was able to get something nicer, less expensive, and will arrive tomorrow. Thank you, Shutterfly, for saving me $100 for your lack of concern!

I order cards on Dec 8 with the specific date for delivery stated as Dec 20. Today, Dec 19, I received a notice that they were unable to deliver on that date due to "production delays". This is the first I've heard from them since the confirmation of the order on Dec 8. We chose this service because they stated the date they would deliver instead of a range of dates. I should have gone with one of the other services. They are at the higher range in price but it appears they are less capable of actually performing as stated.

I placed an order on Dec 6. I was told my cards would be delivered Dec 17. Once I placed the order it became between Dec 17 and Dec 20. Now - although the site hasn't changed - I called and they won't be delivered at the earliest of December 22. So, I can't send Christmas cards until December 23rd???? HORRIBLE SERVICE. I placed an order well in advance. If they had said December 22nd - I would not have bothered to order. Further after placing my order on December 6 - Shutterfly decides to run a sale 50% off every design I just ordered - as well as reduced expedited shipping. Poor business practices. I paid $200 to create customized Christmas cards with my own photos and text using the Shutterfly online tool and approved the proofs. When the cards arrived, there is a large Shutterfly logo slapped across Santa's face, plus more Shutterfly promotional text overlaying my photos. Very obtrusive. I called to complain and ask they replace the cards without their promotional messaging. Was told they would not do so. Who is the customer here? Who is paying who $200? Forcing customers to prominently display their promotional messaging - and not disclosing this on the proofs - and then refusing to replace - is a series of bad customer service and business decisions. I certainly recommend looking elsewhere.

Very poor quality control. The keychains were blurry and many of the photos ordered had heads cut off. The frames we ordered were damaged as well due to poor packaging. In fact the replacement frame was worse off than the original. :( Will never order from them again.

Come on Shutterfly. I expect more from you. Your website - not good. Not good at all. Upload a photo? Um No. At this point - I have tried uploading several different ways and it's the platform man. It says it's my internet - but it's not. DO YOU KNOW WHY? Because I work full time from home and NEVER HAVE CONNECTION ISSUES - MY INTERNET SPEED IS GOLDEN MAN. I'm better off going to the dollar store, buying a 2022 calendar and then printing pictures (courtesy of Walgreen's btw) and cutting them up and placing them over the pictures from the dollar store wall calendar. And you know what? It will be fine - because grandpa and grandma will still love it because it has their grandchildren taped to it.

I just received my photo album. The photos are cut off despite having plenty of space remaining on the page. The photos are not centered. The photos are flat and look extremely cheap. This truly looks like a homemade crafter's project as opposed to a company's product. I will tell everyone never to waste their time or money with Shutterfly.

I spent two hours looking for pictures for a special gift for our daughter and Fiance's engagement present (at the time it was 10 days away). When I supplied the pictures and paid, heads were cut off, etc. When addressing the issue it was "escalated" which to them means 5-6 more days to look at their mistake to fix a "technical" problem that Shutterfly had! Long story short not only will I not receive it in time but it was treated unprofessionally. No one has called me today. In fact I called them. Still no news. Never will I order from them again. This company use to be very good, guess it got too big to care?

Before I dive into the review, I have to say that the customer service people I interacted with were nothing but pleasant. I placed an order for a photobook, a mousepad, a magnet, and a mug. These items were/are memorial pieces dedicated to Peaches. She was the best kitten in the world, and she was lost suddenly on August 2nd, 2021. I placed an order for the aforementioned items on the 4th of August. We waited patiently for them to come in, and waited nearly 3 weeks before contacting customer service about the wild ride our order was on. It went everywhere it seems. Well, that first order was marked "Dead Letter" by the post office and destroyed at Shutterfly's request. My kitten was destroyed. It was like losing her all over again.
So customer service made another order on the 24th, in which, I had corrected the address. I checked on the 25th, and the address had reverted to the wrong address! The memorial items were headed to the same, wrong place, and if we had not intervened, she would have been destroyed AGAIN! So on the 25th, I contacted customer service again and made a third order. This time, we made sure that the address was correct and watched it every step of the way. It all arrived today, and we were so happy with everything until I opened the photo book. The picture is upside down on the back cover, her face is cut off in several of the photos, some of our text has been cut off, and the last picture we were ever able to take of her has her face smushed up and unseeable in the crease of the pages.
This has been so hard to go through after losing that precious, little soul. She was the light of my life, and I can never get her back, and Shutterfly has made all of this so much harder and more traumatizing than it should have been. They did reach out and apologize for continually sending my Peach to the wrong address and offered me $20 free on my next purchase. $20 to cover the trauma of hearing that my Peach's memorial things with her pictures had been "disposed of" and incinerated.

Shutterfly.com does not delete photos even if you delete them from their portal. Below are the sequence of events that happened. 1) I created an account on shutterfly.com. 2) I uploaded my family photos. 3) I created and ordered a hard cover album from them. 4) They delivered the album too. Quality was mediocre but all good so far. 5) I do not want shutterfly to keep my photos so I logged in to their account and deleted all the photos in early December 2020. 6) After a month (early Jan 2021), I logged in again and saw that photos were still not deleted. Moreover they were using my pics to advertise their products to me.
7) I contacted them on Facebook AND their website customer service. Both the channels confirmed that my photos were deleted from their database. 8) I logged in again on Aug/12/2021 and saw that photos were still not deleted. Again they were using my pics to advertise their products to me. This is unacceptable and if possible I will definitely take some action against it.

After many years of making individual Shutterfly books, I was asked to do our 50th high school reunion's yearbook. I decided to use Shutterfly since I was familiar with the program. A year and a half later, the 50-page book was ready to be printed. I arranged for 1 advanced copy to be sent to me. I can't begin to tell you how disappointed I was with the quality of the publication. I immediately called Shutterfly to discuss what went wrong. I was told it was my pictures. No, I don't believe it is! It's a printing error. Each picture had what could only be described as 'blue measles' on it.
I talked to a couple of people - one was no help and one said he knew what the problem was and how to correct it. I then ordered another advance copy to be sent to the reunion chairperson to review. This was a good copy. Feeling that the Shutterfly error had been corrected, I proceeded to order 120 books, which were pre-paid. As they started to arrive at the reunion chairperson's residence and the boxes were open, she was dismayed to find that the 'blue measles' were back. Several phone calls and hundreds of books later, we were able to count 120 good books. There were over 200 books that now needed to be recycled as they were unacceptable.
To say I'm deeply disappointed in Shutterfly is just sad. Sad that so many people were involved and so many damaged books were received. Each book had to be unwrapped and reviewed. Each unacceptable book had to be physically recycled. While we eventually were able to satisfactorily receive 120 books, the whole process was unnecessary. Shutterfly let us down with poor quality control and shipping of damaged goods. I believe Shutterfly owes us a huge credit for the ordeal we had to go through to get our original order delivered. I even question my use of Shutterfly for future books that I enjoy making with our vacation photographs. Bottom line - Shutterfly needs better printing quality control and should not ship damaged books.

Shutterfly - please, please, please change your photo book creator back to the way it used to be. The new layout is terrible, not to mention lacking some of the options you previously offered. I've been making photo books on Shutterfly for over 15 years now and you guys were hands down, the best. It was easy to navigate and offered many different layouts and cool backgrounds/embellishments/frames/etc. that other companies did not. Now, it takes me five times as long to create a book...to the point that I will have to start looking for another site/platform. My friends all feel the same. You guys get more and more expensive, but yet offer fewer and fewer options; doesn't really make sense. :( So, please go back to the previous format. I don't mind paying more if it's doable to navigate and I know the finished product will have the features I want. Thanks!! Then I will be happy to change my review to 5 stars.

I ordered a hard cover photo book for a friend moving out of town. Online the pictures were crisp and beautiful. I received the book 6 days later and all the pics were black, can’t see faces, poor quality.

I ordered a picture collage for my husband's first Father's Day. I received notification that the order would be delayed. Then, it was “lost in the mail” and never arrived because Shutterfly put the wrong name and address on it. Name and address were correct on my account. So disappointed. Ordered a custom card for my 85 yr old mom on Mother's Day. Made sure the delivery date was well early enough. It disappeared in shipping. Tracking number I was given is bogus. Not recognized by UPS or USPS. Shutterfly sent out another card free of charge assuring me I'd get it in time. Now it won't get here until days past Mother's Day. Sorry, sorry, sorry they keep saying. "Sorry" is highly over rated and does nothing to fix the issue.

Won several free items through Albertsons’ Monopoly Shop Play Win game literally like 40 items as I shop there almost daily and decided to redeem them. First and foremost, you can’t redeem duplicates despite you not having control over what tokens you receive (and also paying to even play this game). You have to have separate accounts practically for each item. Then they charge astronomically high shipping fees for EACH item. They will advertise a “sale” or “free” item as $8.99, but once you add it to the cart, they’ll claim that shipping is $10-15 Per item you add. Just by simply adding three of the free items I won all under $9.99, and claiming to be marked down from Approximately $17.99, they’ll make up for it in $40+ in shipping (no exaggeration.). The total shipping for these alleged free items reached $80 and I refuse to pay that lmao. Must be on heavy drugs if you do.
Do better Shutterfly. As a first time customer, I would never pay for that when I can make the same stuff on a cricut. Albertson should also partner with companies that are not price gouging like Shutterfly. If I am already paying $300 in groceries and receive these game pieces as an incentive, why on earth would I pay an additional $80+ for “free” items I supposedly won?

First, shipping and handling was nearly half the total cost of my order, those charges were ridiculously high. Second, after 30 minutes of designing photo books, commemorating the meeting of biological siblings who were not raised together, none of the text was printed in the books. Finally, nothing has arrived on time. The last pieces of this order are going on two days late now. After contacting Shutterfly over these issues (it was after hours so through email) no one has responded to me, it's been four days. The quality of the photos was great, the quality of the photos in the book were great, the canvas photos quality was okay, but still waiting on 3 canvases. I will not order from Shutterfly again. There is another reunion planned where my significant other will meet other family members and will use a different organization for prints.

This is the 3rd time I have experienced shipping failures and delivery failures. If your pictures are important to you DO NOT USING THEIR SHIPPING!!! YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED. You are much better off having the photos printed out at your local drugstore or download them and print them out yourself!

I placed an order of 4 items. I received 3 within 10 days. The last item I was waiting for was a gift so I tried to get a hold of the company to see where it was because it was a month now and I no longer needed this item. You can only contact them through messages which was a nightmare. They told me it was canceled and I would received my money back. I went out and purchased another gift. Weeks later I just received the item which I don't want and have to pay for!!!! Never dealing with this company again!!!!

This was my first experience working with any kind of on-line photo products company EVER so I wasn't familiar with many of the steps. I had to call telephone support several times during the creation process to ask specific questions because I wasn't sure what to do next. Each tech support person couldn't have been more helpful, carefully walking me through step by step until I was through the point where I was stuck and moved on to the next step. They also made sure I knew about ALL of the specials and promo codes to take advantage of all the available discounts at the time.
Once my 66-page, 10x10 hardback book was completed, I submitted it for production and nervously waited its arrival. I was so afraid that I did something wrong or that the finished product wouldn't meet my expectations when it arrived. Well, it arrived today and it exceeded my expectations in every possible way! The packaging itself makes it appear to be something REALLY important. The quality of the book was amazing -- the photos look exactly as they had on screen and the pages of the book are thick and substantive. I bought this as a 60th birthday present for my best friend and ordered a second copy to keep. I can't stop looking at it, it's so beautiful. I don't think I've ever been prouder of anything that I've created myself. This book will be a one-of-a-kind present for my friend to treasure for years to come.

I have used Shutterfly for years. I think they have a very good editing platform to create photobooks. But their prices have been creeping up making some of the books I order $175. My latest order was going to cost $210 so I went to the online chat to ask why. I discovered that their advertised 50% off was only on the first 20 pages of a photobook, the rest was only discounted at 30%. The online agent then offered me 50% flat rate on all of my orders for the next month. I was delighted until I realized they never put the discount on my account. When I contacted them, they refused to honor the offer even though they could bring up the online chat and see that it was offered to me. Very poor customer service!

I uploaded 5 very short videos to shutterfly.com in 2011. I have accessed these videos for my own viewing pleasure for the past 10 years. In 2020, all of a sudden, the videos can not be found anywhere on my account. I have communicated with Shutterfly via their chat to no avail. The latest response (Nov 24, 2020) from shutterfly said "There has been no workaround that has been provided for your issue yet,.. I will continue to keep you updated. Please bare with us while we try to locate your videos." I am heartbroken as these 5 videos happen to be the ONLY videos I have of my daughter's first year of life. Has anyone else had similar misfortune when working with shutterfly? To be honest, I have had many positive experiences dealing with my pictures on shutterfly. Though, I really want to be able to access the 5 videos.

I recently placed an order and fell for the “unlimited free prints” offer. It took me several hours of looking through my camera roll to choose 250 of the shots I wanted to print. I made sure I had $75 worth of ornaments to apply the “free shipping above $75 offer”, and was dismayed when I got to check out and found shipping on “free” items were not included in this promo, so my shipping cost totaled $46!!! I believe that would be much more than I would’ve actually paid for the prints (appx. $22.50 of they were $.09 apiece)!
I tried looking for their prepaid print plan to get around this problem, so I could pay for the prints and get free shipping. However, I could not find any of the prepaid print plans, although I know I’ve seen them as recently as early December 2020. Since there was no option to place the prints order in a “save for later” category, I was pretty sure all my hours of choosing would be wasted, so I decided to proceed with the order. Once customer service chat opened the next morning, I spent 45 minutes in a very unsatisfactory conversation. "No, you cannot separate part of the order. No, you cannot cancel the entire order but save the chosen prints in any way. No, you can’t add a prepaid print plan to this order." In the end, what she did offer was a $10 credit to my account. Buyer beware!

I ordered my save the dates for my wedding through Shutterfly in the beginning of December, it’s Jan 2nd and I haven’t received them yet. They have been stuck in Stockton since December 15th.... I tried contacting them multiple times and with 2+ hour hold times on their phone line and their chats just being a bot with no email support.... I am really disappointed. They gave me a “refund” (a gift card for their services) but I don’t trust ordering anything else from them.... As a test I did also order (using said gift card) a couple of photo tiles for my and my fiancé’s families and they haven’t arrived yet either.... Hopefully they eventually arrive but it’s so after Christmas now that they will be confused if they do ever arrive....

Ordered a photo gift online on Dec. 6. Delivery window given was Dec. 11-15. It is Dec. 28 - merchandise never arrived. Tracking information suggests USPS never received it. No reasonable way to contact customer service - their chat line never answers, and their phone line is only 3.5 hours per day, so is jammed. I did get through to chat once on Dec. 26 - rep told me she was giving me a gift certificate, which never was put into my account. She also sent me a canned message saying the item was on the way, in time for Christmas - what? This is unacceptable - I was a long time customer - no more. Not ever.

Shutterfly seems to operate by machines only as humans are MIA when trying to contact. Automated system indicated my Holiday Card order would arrive in Minnesota on 12-21, it was subsequently changed to 12-22 and on 12-22 their wonderful robotic system indicated my order was still in Texas! And, the order was produced on 12-16. The most unfortunate part of this whole experience is there seems to be no person with a heartbeat at Shutterfly to converse with LIVE! I was on hold for 46 minutes yesterday, tried to press #1 on my phone to leave a callback number and the system would not take it. Obviously, Shutterfly is letting robots attempt to satisfy unhappy customers like me. Note to Shutterfly...it is NOT working! I live 6 miles from a large Shutterfly plant location in Shakopee, MN. Why is my order coming from Texas to begin with? And, regardless, will my Christmas cards arrive before 2021?

Ordered cards the first week in December. Paid 7.99 extra for faster shipping. Was promised for Dec 12. Tracking number showed no info. I used the number with USPS and it said the package was never shipped. When I finally (after HOURS literally of trying) reached someone at Shutterfly on chat, they were ridiculously unable to explain what had happened to my order and kept saying we have to wait on tracking. I said I wanted to cancel and wanted a refund since it was the week of Christmas and still no cards and no date to expect them. He said he could refund the shipping but I asked for a full refund. I am so sad that I have no cards to send this year and I have not gotten a refund, like so many others who have posted here. I will never use Shutterfly again.

Terrible service; don’t bother with this business. I’ve been a customer for many years; I’m having the worst experience this year, 2020. The mail system and Covid cannot be blamed for me not receiving my Christmas cards ordered on November 30. Today is December 21, and the cards are nowhere in sight. Customer service is not sympathetic to the situation. I won’t get my cards in time to mail them & have them be received by Christmas! Two orders I placed 11 and 12 days later than this order arrived last week! After 5 phone calls to customer service over the past week, I am extremely disappointed and frustrated dealing with Shutterfly personnel.
Today I requested a refund and was told that I must wait until after the holidays to request a refund. Of course that would mean spending another half hour on the phone with him. It looks like they think no matter when I receive the cards, that I will mail them out, even if it’s after the holidays! They are not admitting there is a problem with my order, and they are not willing to resolve it to make me a satisfied customer. In my opinion, they should refund my money regardless of when the cards finally arrive; it’s too late. Their business failed in supplying their merchandise as expected. If & when I receive the cards, I will send them back and ask for my refund of almost $200. Poor customer service; this company is not standing behind their happy customer policy. I am definitely upset about the situation.

At this point, my Christmas cards obviously won't make it out to my friends and family by Christmas. Shutterfly customer service refuses to offer any explanation for the delay, any relief for missing my Christmas deadline. I purchased something on 1211. Paid extra shipping to receive it by 12:19. Never received my item. Try to get in touch with customer service, waited on hold for 2 hours to speak to someone that didn't know when I would get my order. Constantly repeated the same answer. Tell them just to cancel the order. They wouldn't cancel it. Now at this time I received an email stating my order has finally shipped. After going back online again last night telling them I didn't want to order anymore because I went to a different company and order the same thing. The business is terrible. How do you go from, "It hasn't shipped yet. We're having problems transferring the photo," to all of a sudden it shipped. I will never order from this company again. I placed an order on Nov 23rd. Estimated delivery date 12/8-12/12. Today is 12/19 and I still have not received the gifts that I was to give to family today. I tried calling multiple times only to be told “It’s been shipped". No cancellations/no refunds. So even though I paid for shipping I now will have to see family empty handed and I will have to pay for shipping their gift to them. I also had other gifts shipped to family members out of state and they have not received theirs yet either. Their Customer service is horrible. With the pandemic this year every penny counts and I wish I had spent my money elsewhere.

Like several other reviewers have stated, I ordered Xmas cards on 11/29. I ordered a day before they offered free shipping and paid full shipping charges. I spent about $70 on 2 orders totaling 35 cards. Although Shutterfly stated the delivery would be between 12/4 and 12/9, they have not yet arrived. They can't state when they will arrive. In viewing tracking, they are currently waiting in Indiana. If I had known that it would take over 3 weeks to receive, I would never have ordered them. Now, even if they are received tomorrow, I will still not be able to send to recipients to arrive before X-Mas.
Until these orders, I have been very happy with Shutterfly. However, I will NEVER order X-Mas cards from them again. To say I am disappointed, is to put it mildly. I feel like crying. If I ever do receive these cards, I am going to look like a complete idiot sending them out late. I have noticed many similar complaints. Instead of going with USPS Value shipping, why don't you pay a little more and get a better shipping company? You are going to lose many customers. Stop blaming this on Covid. We no longer believe you.

I’ve used two years in a row for Christmas cards. The process is easy. But. First year, I needed additional cards. I reordered and the order was lost. I was fully refunded and order was replaced. All good result, just annoying. This year ordered again. Envelopes came unconstructed. No adhesive on sides. For $200. Quss as city unacceptable. Real complaint is customer service is totally inaccessible. Waited in line (199 in-line) for a chat rep. Then when finally got rep they asked me to download picture to my account. When I did that...no quick way.. They had already closed me out. With message of “please reach back if you have any other issue”. Really? Won’t use again. Do not recommend. Plenty of other similar services.

My Christmas card order was placed on 12/2, estimated delivery date 12/14, paid $18 for shipping. They were shipped on 12/4 and tracking hasn't been updated since 12/7... I reached out to customer service earlier in the week, was told I could request a refund if not received in a few days. I contacted them again today and was told SHUTTERFLY ISN'T MAKING ACCOMMODATIONS UNLESS THE ORDER ARRIVES AFTER CHRISTMAS. What good are Christmas cards that arrive too late to mail them before Christmas??? The customer service rep. was like talking to a robot. These Christmas Cards, which were ordered wayyy back in November, has been lost since Dec 6. These are STILL advertised with discounts, driving sales, when they have no intent on delivering before Christmas. Even if they arrived TODAY, the cards won't arrive to their destination on time now. My wife ordered these, and got a notice on Dec 6 that UPS was delivering the next day. Dec 7 arrived, and nothing arrived. She called on Dec 8, and all the way up until the 12th. She ended up in tears due to how Shutterfly Support was dismissing her, ignoring her.
So, I got involved. I ask for a manager on the phone, and they drop the call last night, after a 312 minute hold for the first agent - they were closed when they dropped the call. Convenient, no?! Their chat support dropped me twice. It gets worse. They THEN GO BEHIND MY BACK, and went back to my wife on Facebook message. I'm sorry, you do NOT get to make my wife cry, and then go back to her when you figure out her husband is not going to let that behavior fly. As far as I'm concerned, this is a SCAM. Chargeback in progress, and I am not going away now.

I ordered a puzzle to be made by Shutterfly on December 01, 2020. Was to receive it between 12.08 and 12.14. I did receive a notice on 12.05 that it would be delayed. To expect to receive it between 12.14 and 12.16. On 12.15 I called Shutterfly to see what the status was. Was told there must have been some type of mistake and I would need to cancel and reorder. Spoke to a supervisor and she promised I would have it 12.18. Next day received a notice my order would be delayed. Two days later was told product was shipped and would arrive on 12.21 Now I am told told maybe 12.23. Given the mistakes they made you would think they would have sent it priority. Nope. UPS ground. What a joke.
The thing Shutterfly needs to remember, they ain't the only game in town. Plenty of sites can do what they do. It is customer service that makes the difference. Last word, sometimes they do as promised. Other times they are out to prefect horrible service. Looks like they achieved their goal. I have no need to revisit this slacker company. As mentioned, there are other companies doing a far better job.

I’ve had issues with Shutterfly in the past, but this year they have taken the cake. They have lost my package and every time I contact them I get a different Shipping date, delivery date, etc. I asked to have my order reprinted and sent overnight since they are Christmas cards and still need to be sent out and they said they would not be willing to do that. I talked to Srinidhi, Nautica, and Amy the last time I contact them (several other people before that) and not one of them would re-ship the order.

I ordered photo prints and a separate order for an ornament at the end of November and it’s nearly Christmas and I haven’t gotten it. When I contacted customer care they just told me to wait and there is nothing they can do. I’ve made lots of orders these past few months and have had no problems with any other company getting my delivery made in the delivery window. This reflects very poorly on Shutterfly as a company not upholding what they are offering and no help when you voice your concern.

I have used Shutterfly in that past and had no complaints. They were efficient and had helpful customer service. June 2019 they were purchased by Apollo Global Management. This is the first I’ve used them since the change and I was nothing short of shell shocked by the change, none for the better.
1. Customer Service- Good luck because there isn’t any. If you want to speak to a person, you will be sent down rabbit hole after rabbit hole; one international call center to the next “supervisor” and ultimately be given an email address to use. You will take the time to write out your concerns in an email but it will bounce back as “no reply” and refer you back to the “chat” link. You will resign yourself to the written “chat”. During my “chat” exchange with “Lamar” I was told shipping would be changed to expedited with a promise to email me the next day to let me know the final delivery date. Needless to say I never heard from him again and that was a week ago. I just went to the website to check my order status and it is still listed as January. Because it was a “chat” on their end, you will have no record of the exchange. Take a screen shot.
2. Delivery- I ordered a Christmas gift on December 7. There was no indication that this would be a problem since the website was- and still is as of today- advertising Christmas gifts. I only realized it was a problem when I received my confirmation email. The delivery date was January. They should be upfront before you spend the time creating a gift. With my first attempt with customer service, I was told that the delivery date was stated during the order process. I assumed I just didn’t notice it. After being told other misleading comments, I went back to the website and made a mock purchase all the way up to the last payment step before actually paying and it NEVER stated a delivery date. There was a screen that said if it was time sensitive consider paying for rushed shipping but never gave a delivery date nor clearly stated if you wanted Christmas delivery to upgrade your shipping.
3. Misleading- the tactics to frustrate the customer, to outright lie to you (see above) was beyond anything I’ve experienced with a company bar none.I get covid created new problems and challenges, I get that this years on-line orders are significantly increased, I get that I might be disappointed because I didn’t start earlier but JUST TELL ME BEFORE I ORDER! Then when I am disappointed, DONT LIE TO ME about what you will do to remedy. Just tell me the truth- you don’t care about your customers, you only care that they hit the “purchase” link.
Nice to know you Shutterfly. It was fun in the beginning but we are breaking up.

I ordered my holiday cards on 11/30. The Company promised delivery by 12/14. I expected some delay, due to Covid, maybe a few days. Now they have changed status to "on its way" and can't give me a definite date, just "before Christmas" which is completely useless when the product is holiday cards that I wanted to arrive at the addressee's locations before Christmas.
I've been chatting with them for near an hour, and they keep giving me a canned response that in this "unusual year they won't be issuing refunds and can't really do anything about delays." None of the other companies I've ordered from have had this problem, yes there are delays and yes that's totally understandable but here I think Shutterfly knew it couldn't meet the demand but wanted the revenue anyway, so they lied to customers to get them to buy their product. Note that their chat queue is over 100 people and their phone wait is over 2 hours, so I imagine this is not just a "me" issue.
I'm extremely disappointed and won't be using them again, their competitors do equal if not better work and deliver timely. I know that during these times, late cards are not a big deal, and I'm grateful for the privilege to even be able to afford such things. I think however that Shutterfly could do a better job with this situation, admit they are in the wrong and issue refunds.

I will never use them again. I submitted a photo book order and there was a part that wasn't specified and have tried to reach them all morning to catch it before production to no avail. And now they tell me I can't change anything... Very bad customer service when you can't even speak to someone and you at least ask for a call back and they can't even call you back. Not good ...

I ordered Christmas cards at the beginning of the month. I received a notification that it would come between Dec. 11-13. I have not received the cards and yet, I constantly called the company all of last week to get shipping updates. I was told on those occasions to be patient and they would come. Still nothing. When I called again today I was told that my order was probably lost! They could have told me that last week when I called because USPS has the same update that they were waiting for the carrier to have it picked up. This is my first order and from this experience, I will never go back to them.

I Called customer service several times. They lied and said they were shipped now saying I can’t cancel and no refund unless they don’t come by Christmas. And have no update. So I can’t even order from another company to get cards.

Originally ordered and supposed to be delivered the same week..The date kept changing but part of my order finally came today! It was so worth the wait!!! I am absolutely in love with the blanket and it’s so much better quality than I originally expected! And a lot bigger as well! Definitely worth the price and I know my mother is going to love it! This is her Christmas present! I’m hoping my next package that was supposed to arrive before this one is worth the wait too! I’m giving 5 stars despite the wait!

Shutterfly has the worst customer service. They are terrible to get through to, lie to customers and do not resolve anything. I've contacted customer service 4 times for the same problem and am currently on hold for 41 minutes after being told 3 times that the problem was solved and receiving a confirmation that the problem was solved. I would rate them 0 stars if I had the option.

After spending over $1,100.00 on Three orders I was only happy with 30% of my order. The small frame Xmas ornaments were off center, cutting off photo. The Xmas card was not folded but a card. My client’s large canvas photo of her son was damaged when arrived. In “Chat” the first Shutterfly rep would replace whatever I wanted but it was too much for her to clear and she passed me to a supervisor who left me waiting 32 minutes. When I explained the situation he was cool to helping and suggested my client send it back. After haggling and I explained all the money I spent he agreed that he would send postage for my returns and refund everything I was unhappy with to my credit card. Nothing was ever done. I went on to use Walgreens, Vista prints and Canvas on the cheap to fix my own stuff. Shutterfly could care less that I was a great customer and blew me off.

Notepad arrived disconnected to cardboard notepad backing. When I called to either replace or refund, they were unwilling to work with me because my daughter ordered it on her account (for my 95 year old mom, her grandmom). My daughter and I share the same last name... They insisted on calling her, disrupting her in her busy work day, and she was unable to answer. Do we really need this level of 'security' for a $7 notepad that was shipped to me??? Even talked to a supervisor who said all the usual 'want to help you' but did not even have the power or willingness to help in this simple situation. Ridiculous.

If you are a Canadian placing an order, think twice. I placed an order & nowhere did it state the prices were in USD, a $279 dollar order ended up being $375 Canadian, order in Canada you will find comparable prices & the same or better quality. We shall see if they actually do something with the feedback that was provided so other Canadian customers don’t get the same surprise I did.

Shutterfly orders are taking forever to arrive and their staff is trying to blame Covid-19 when other retailers have no issues or only minor/acceptable delays. Here’s the reason: Shutterfly thought it was smart to use “USPS Mail Innovations”, the cheapest, slowest shipping offer from USPS. So yes...they save $0.50 per order BUT packages take 10+ days to arrive. Customer service wasn’t helpful when I asked for a refund. Sorry Shutterfly, you won’t get my money next time and I’ll make sure everyone knows you’re not trustworthy from now on.

I have ordered and been happy with products from Shutterfly. Good items, fair prices, good sales. HOWEVER, if you proceed, do NOT store photos on their site. Do not connect your social media accounts or make other connects to Shutterfly. Your photos will not be kept private. They will be used in ways you may not agree with and the only way to make the privacy violations stop is to completely delete the account. So, wanna get holiday gifts from there? Go right ahead. Enjoy. But then delete all our personal photos and data and delete the account when you are done. Otherwise, you may not like what Shutterfly does with your data and pics.

I've used Shutterfly to create a personalized wallet card holder, phone case, mouse pad and graduation invitations and they have all met my expectations. They all arrived on time and were high in quality. Plus, the give many discounts that are too good to pass up on the product and services. I highly recommend.

I was able to get on only after loading and using Firefox, which is not a browser I use. So, I can use Shutterfly. Then, a few days ago, it started working again using Chrome. I don't know if my ISP or Shutterfly made a change, but now the website is more available. Kudos to Shutterfly if they made a change. Also, an agent called me back to check on things, so great customer service.

TERRIBLE SERVICE, BOOK NEVER ARRIVED. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. Below the story. I have ordered a book for my wife's birthday and it was delayed 2x. I had paid express shipment initially with a date of arrival 1 week before her birthday so I could have time to have it in advance. 2 days before, I checked online and they told me that there was a problem so they would re-order the book with express shipping arrive 1 day before my wife's birthday. I checked again with them to make sure 3 days before and all was good. I checked the day before and boom, again a delay. Now I don't know if I will ever receive it and the quality of it. I am screwed for the surprise to my wife. Thank you Shutterly for such a bad service.

Today my husband and I received our adoption profile book that we created through Shutterfly. The pictures and crisp words we wrote showed up incredibly. The only issue I had was a issue with corner. It was scratched by the USPS. I reached out to customer service right away for Shutterfly and they immediately put out a new order for us. This type of customer service shows their dedication to their customers satisfaction.

I would give Shutterfly zero stars, if able. I paid $26 to have expedited deliver only to receive an email from UPS indicating that my purchase would be delivered a day late. I would not have ordered from them or paid the shipping had I known it would not be delivered by the date indicated. Very frustrating.

I have purchased several products from this site. Every single time, it takes more than 2 weeks to come in. I thought it was just a fluke, but the slow shipping has been very consistent. If you’re pressed for time, either use a different site, or pay for faster shipping. Also, it didn’t matter what I ordered for a product. Still more than 2 weeks.

I ordered two 3x3 magnets, paid 6+ dollars in shipping for 2 magnets that were less than 13 ounces in weight and it took over 2 weeks to ship to me. It was sent via UPS. I checked USPS and to ship the 2 magnets would have cost $2.86 and taken 2-3 days. I'm now on 13 days. What a joke!! Never again.
