Cubesmart business tactics and customer service are abysmal. I complained about a rate increase which angered the clerk. Since then none of my payments were mysteriously not received. I am going to be forced to litigate the issue to resolve or accept the loss of my items without compensation. They have lied and manipulated through the Better Business Bureau complaint.

Nice place BUT, highway robbery! 15 months in and 2 price increases! Started at $167, then $232, now $324! TT store mgr, she called left msg for district mgr Dave. No response. I wrote a letter to corporate, no response, I called and left msg for Dave, no response!!! Go elsewhere! They clearly do not give a damn about their good customers! Told we received the hike in price because they do not have any of my size units available!!!!

I really don’t think no one should rent from them, had an incident at one of the facilities. They said it was me but when I got up there with the police found out that it was not me on the camera and they did not refund me my money back, so be careful renting from them they are not right and the manager at the facility on Michael Blvd. They are rude, unprofessional, and have a problem with **, and I am going to spread this and what they did to me all over social media.

Cubesmart on Lantana Rd near Jog Rd is the worst storage place anyone could ever go to. I was there on Saturday Nov 22, 2025 at around 5 pm when I noticed two women having a belligerent altercation. I notified the front desk woman who said she would check the situation. The front desk woman never checked anything, she likely went home for the day, while the two women escalated their fight into threats of aggression toward me and I had to call 911. The apathy the personnel show at this location is not only disappointing, but also unsafe. Never again Cubesmart!

Do not use CubeSmart in Austell, Georgia. I rented my storage unit in September 2024. I also paid for the insurance protection each month. However, on December 31, 2025 when my Movers showed me that the sofa I had stored had been destroyed by rats. I immediately took pictures of the damage. I was told by the employee on site to call the insurance. I was told by the claims adjuster that the plan did not pay for rat infestation. I still filed the claim and sent pictures to the claims adjuster. I was denied and sent a letter saying only theft, fire or a natural disaster would be covered. I do not feel it is right that my furniture was destroyed and I am not compensated. Surely, Cubesmart had to be aware of the rat situation. I suggest people use another storage company.

What they don’t mention is they charge you $16 per month for a protection plan. The will not refund you either. They require insurance docs for your property you have stored. Another bs fee they stuff down your throat.

Do NOT rent storage units at ANY of the CubeSmart locations in the vicinity of Manchester/South Windsor, CT. There is literally ONE employee who is expected to manage at least FOUR locations. There is NEVER anyone working in the offices. They don't even, any longer post office hours on the front door. Also, twice now, I have arrived at my unit to find that an "over-lock" has been placed on my unit in ERROR, and I can't get into my unit!! When you contact the home office, you have to text them in their on-line "chat". No one will answer the phone!! They lie and tell you they'll come and take the lock off, but they never show up!! It takes weeks to get the lock taken off!!

My storage unit at the CubeSmart facility at 80 E Horizon Ridge Pkwy in Henderson, Nevada was burglarized, ransacked, and left in a destroyed condition. I only became aware of the burglary after a friend checked the unit and discovered the damage and missing property. This incident has been reported to the Henderson Police Department and is documented under police report #**. According to the police report, CubeSmart management acknowledged that multiple units at this facility had been burglarized over the past several months, and the report also indicates that my unit had previously appeared in an earlier police call for service related to forced entry damage.

CubeSmart is the last storage facility I would ever deal with. I don’t know who is giving the 5 star reviews for this business but they don’t deserve any stars at all. Customer service is practically non existent, on site management never answer phone calls, corporate office is a joke if you are trying to find out anything about current standing of your account, always trying to charge you for an extra month beyond what you are obligated to pay. Very unprofessional and rude to their tenants. Bogus charges around every corner you turn and the regional manager of the Surprise locations needs to take a refresher course on how to conduct yourself in a professional environment. Don’t rent from CubeSmart. They are nothing short of a migraine headache.

These guys have a broken website and app that cause a lot of headaches. They have *major* penalties for any sort of odd infraction. It doesn't matter if you are right or wrong; the penalties will never be refunded. This company routinely raises rents by 25% or more within 90 days of signing up with them. This partially pays for discounts they issue to new suckers whom they vacuum up and suck dry.

They nearly doubled my rent after they bought out the place I had been storing from. No improvements, just two drastic price hikes. The storage is not climate controlled or located anywhere that great, but they put "premium" pricing on it.

Every single negative review is true. The absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. It took 3 months to fix my broken door. My unit flooded and their insurance denied me. The DM, John guaranteed me that cubesmart was going to do everything to try to help me. Well, they lied. I moved into another unit and my rent immediately increased to the point it's no longer affordable. Cubesmart lost me a lot of money. John the DM and Justin the DVP have absolutely no customer service experience. I'll be the first one to sign up next class action lawsuit.

Surprising rent increase within 2 months, corporate does not provide any accountability, upsetting. Not sure when the next rate increase will be, make sure you read your contract before signing.

NEGATIVE 10 STARS is my true rating. The District Mgr, Stan ignores the fact they FAILED to give tenants the Legal 30-day advance notice of the rent increase plus the increase was an astronomical $20 / 15.5% a month increase!! He avoided replying to my messages. The Customer service dept refuses to elevated to the Regional Mgr. Leon, an office employee has zero customer service skills. I'm a return customer for years... This will be my final time renting at Cubesmart!

I just moved out of two units at 0695 CubeSmart San Tan Valley North location because of continued rent increases. The manager and staff at this location were great - they were always friendly and helpful. But the continued rate increases by corporate became intolerable. The rates when I left were $208.04 per month for the 10'x10' unit and $67.34 per month for the 5'x5' unit, with a total for both at $275.43. The percentage of these rate increases far exceeded the Consumer Price Index for the last 4 years

So sick of Cubesmart. They have fake reviews (it is obvious). They will raise your rate a couple months after moving in. Had to change to another unit under my husband after they raised the rent on me $50 per mo. Moved all of my work stuff into another under my husband, and 2 months later another rent raise. I wish google would really verify reviews. You many people getting scammed by stupid fake reviews.

The ladies at this facility are very friendly and professional. Angela and Tiffany go above and beyond with what they do and fill the atmosphere with positive energy. The place is clean and smells amazing. Every question was answered, could not have asked for better customer service than this. I would recommend this facility to anyone.

This company has been overcharging me from the beginning. I've been there for almost 4 years. I have a 10x20 which it cost to 88 a month. Now I pay for 88 a month. This is the biggest scam company. I'm going to file a complaint. Don't get my refund back.

I have had the unfortunate opportunity of encountering the unprofessional, rude, incompetent, and disrespectful manager D. **at the New York Ave store in Washington DC. I was provided incorrect information about filing a claim for property damage on January 23, 2026. I called on January 27th to inform him I received the incorrect information and he informed me he would speak to his supervisor and get back to me. I contacted Mr. ** this morning and he was rude and hung up on me without giving me an update. I had my partner call and request the contact information for Micheal ** the District Manager and she was hung up on as well. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE.

Angel from the Wichita Falls store was a joy to work with. He’s amazing! Thank you Angel!! He understood my needs and was more than accommodating. I totally recommend going out to see him if you have storage needs.

I have 2 Units at Cubesmart on SE 14th St in Des Moines, IA. I do wish I had all night access but that's the only complaint I have. I have had storage units at other places but this is the only one that I have ever had that I did not have a bunch of extra charges when I couldn't afford to pay for both of my units. I called them and let them know right away and they only charged me 21 dollars for a whole month so when the next payment was due I paid the missed payment, the 21 dollar late fee and the new payment.

If there were zero on the scale, I would do zero. The store number 0120 Valley Stream, NY. 750 W. Merrick Road. I have spoken with a female individual to discuss a previous reservation that was made acc # ** and this person answered very, very rude. I was not able to speak because she never stopped talking. I will not recommend this company to anyone.

I rented a unit May 2025 for $219 plus tax with CubeSmart. They raised my unit rent to $296 in October plus tax so I was paying $305. I had since had to give my stuff to Goodwill because I couldn’t afford the fee. I moved out on 1/17/26 and asked if I was entitled to a partial refund for the month, the staff said no. I have yet received a bill to be paid 1/30/26 and when I called the staff noted that I was scheduled to move on 1/24/26. So unprofessional and I felt like I was put in a hard spot to pay or lose my stuff. They need to be more honest upfront and if the tables were turned I would have had to pay for partial rent had I stayed past the beginning of the next month.

I rented a 10x30 unit for $208 a month. I am between homes. After moving my things in and waiting to settle on my new house I received a email my rent was going up $70 dollars to $278 a month. That is over a 33% increase. They know you are stuck once you're moved in and no choice but to stay until you your new place is ready. This is predatory. These people have no morals. No values. Please don't ever use them. This was at the Exton Pennsylvania location. January 2026.

I've been a loyal customer for a few years now, love the staff. However I'm not happy that they raise the rates by $15 every 6 month when there's places charging a lot less. If it happens again they are losing a loyal customer

Rented unit in Elkins AR for 14 months in preparation of moving from Goodyear, AZ to Elkins. Unit conveniently located in Elkins, clean, and secure, with access early morning to late night. Anita (manager) was great and resolved minor issues quickly.

If I was anyone looking for a storage unit I would not use anything CubeSmart owns ever. They are looking to screw people over with their multiple price hikes sometimes in 1 year and every year. They are only out for themselves and making money. They are making massive price hikes which is crazy because the price hike is just loading their pockets not helping the customers. They barely pay anything for their storage units and pay for themselves easily in a year if not a couple years. These guys are rip off artists and I think needs to be brought to court for their overly aggressive price hikes.

My experience with Cubesmart in East Ridge was great! Chris was very friendly and explained the prices and showed me different units. The only issue I had was with the owner. As I was paying my rent all he talked about was raising prices. Although I loved where my items were stored and it was very clean I did ask Chris for another Cubesmart location. He did provide that for me but my reason to move was because my rent kept going up. I would recommend other Cubesmart locations because the staff is great! Very respectful and professional.

The manager Pam is very professional and cares a lot about the facility. She goes out of her way to keep things in order there. She has recently helped a tenant with a past due bill. She put me in touch with them, and I would purchase a camper they had parked there. They got their past due amount paid, I ended up with a camper, and CubeSmart avoided having to do an auction. A win-win for all 3 parties involved.

Horrible bait and switch. In May 2023 - $253.00 per month by November 2025 - $490.00 per month. Store managers are absolutely useless. They charge you a 3% CC fee unless you autopay. Would not recommend.
