Initially, it was a good product. It was an app you could open up grab a password paste it. It was wonderful worked on older, software and older browsers. And they changed to a browser password extension which basically broke it on my laptop because I couldn’t use it anymore. It won’t work on older browsers. What if you want to use an older browser because the new ones, the new browsers have features and automatic updates and things that cause problems. What if you have an older operating system it can’t be updated to a new browser?
For a long time they let me use the original app, and then they shut that down. Why? So now I no longer have it on my laptop. it worked for a while on my phone on my iPad and on my desktop mostly because I these are all relatively new products. Now suddenly it’s not working at all. It no longer shoves the information into the forms like it should for a webpage. By the way, it doesn’t work in apps at all, so it’s back to cut and paste. I could have a secure file with all my passwords on that I could grab. And it would be cheap, and cost me nothing.. So now I’m back to the tedious process of cutting and paste an email address, or a logon, and then a password. Even that it’s not working.
I spent three days or four days trying to log in to some online websites that I need to use. I can’t use them. It’s constantly telling me I have the wrong password. The database seems to be corrupted, and even if I shove a new password in there, it’s getting changed so it doesn’t work. This is so infuriating. It’s maddening. And it’s disgraceful for this company, so not maintain their product properly.
Once again, I can do this better by myself. I would be better off having a piece of paper and writing my passwords down or getting a simple encrypted text file and going in cut and pasting. I’d be a lot better than this Dashlane garbage. I paid a lot of money for this software and it’s not working anymore. Now I’ve got to go and change to another System. People don’t want to have to change. They want a simple system that works All, all, all, the time. This company either made changes or is not keeping up with the operating system changes that break their software. I am so disgusted and pissed off because I’ve wasted so much time with this garbage and I got charged through the nose for it. I want a refund.

Just pre-paid a year, first two passwords NOT saved, didn't ask, could not go back to sign in. Asks to save everything else you type but not password. Customer service? Page not active. Import passwords, yes? No you have to select a program file that I have no idea what or where it is. Not a fan of Google but you point Google at a browser and it imports them no problem. I hope their VPN works but I'm not optimistic.

Recurring payment was set off and however you charged my debit card. More than 6 month ago I deleted the software from my desktop. They give a 30 days payback guarantee but contacting support is a nightmare.

This extension is locked into my browser. I didn't download it, I didn't want it, and there's no way to get rid of it. Every text field in every web page causes a pop-up asking me to enter my password. There is no way to disable the Chrome extension. I've had professional IT services attempt to wipe the extension from the browser without success.

Never ordered-never downloaded-never heard of company!! Ad on my computer sites that require a password offering a free trial--Have been trying for over a month to get rid of--No one will call you, just emails with ridiculous instructions to delete ads. They say they don't have staff to make call backs. Chats only offer a menu of items which don't help!

When I first started using Dashlane I was happy with it. Eventually I had some problems. Dashlane would create multiple passwords, so that I had 2-3 of the same account and passwords. I researched trouble shooting. I could not find anything that would help fix my issues. Dashlane has NO tech support or customer service. I canceled my account and asked for refund of the balance. I ended up getting billed for another year 6 months after I canceled my account. I sent many messages advising them of problems I had experienced and requested them to refund the new charge. I never received a response if any kind. After sending more messages I finally got a reply saying it had been more than 30 days so they would not issue a refund. This is very sad because it could be a good product. SAVE YOUR MONEY. This company has NO tech support and NO customer service. They do not honor their refund policy.

I upgraded my Dashlane password keeper to premium several years ago. Today I found out what I was paying for-nothing. As late as just last night I changed my password to an account that I had only created within the past nine months or so. I logged into the website only to see create an account without noticing the log in in smaller print at the bottom. In the process I created a new password that I immediately changed in dashlane only to be met with the prompt on the app that an account already existed. Despite my many attempts to change my password no e-mail was ever received to reset it. Thankfully, Dashlane now features a password history feature that, in my case, only went back as late as six months ago. There was no record of my password change last night- USELESS! What a waste of money!

I've been using Dashlane successfully for many years. My problem began with their online version. It only imported a few passwords, All remain on my computer but no auto logon. Originally the website I was trying to enter prompted me to set a new password. I've had to resort to copy and pasting. Then Dashlane app offered to save the info, After doing this a few times I created a mess in my passwords. Customer service - no people, no phone, no chat--only Dashy the automated response. I had upgraded to family premium. Within 30 days I was entitled to a refund. Ha!!!! I'd like to give the 0 stars.

No phone calls to them allowed. 2 days to respond to first email, 5 days to respond to second. Their web page and my credit card both show I'm premium till July 21; they all of a sudden say I'm not. Sent me the same identical non-response twice. Consumer Reports has 4 other p/w managers rated above them (Keeper, 1Password, BitWarden, Lastpass); I'm moving on. They are a Canadian company and have shown less and less interest in keeping their American customers happy.

I used both Dashlane and 1password. Dashlane premium is right now couldn't get any worse. So many problems:
2. I used dashlane 2fa code as well names security code, the auto-fill doesn't work for that either. (Customer support told me they are fixing it, that was 3 months ago.)
3. Some settings always goes back to default even when I changed it. (Like how I don't wanna be asked to enter master password when I want to view my card number but again and again it happens.)
4. They recently fixed the 14 days login. Thank you. Although dashlane should thank us for being patient with their slow process.
Only good thing about them is the UI and they reply your email, at least you have hope someone is there doing something. Oh btw the VPN is good.

2) They also indicate for privacy and security to create another account but at what cost?
3) Then they indicate family plan and give you prorated price from your premium plan but again have no clue what the real price is?
4) Working on the 3rd request for my answers.
Note; when you have multiple issues as most below, instead of support you get frequently requested questions, hence a lot of communication.

I really want to provide a positive review, because when Dashlane works, its fantastic. But herein lies the problem. It never works properly. I have used this on many devices, Android phones, iPhones, MacBooks & Windows PCs. Not one of these operates as it should. On Mac, the auto login or fingerprint login never works and for every device, the majority of the time it does not recognise and log you into websites. You either have to reload the page and hope it picks it up or you just end up opening the application every time, looking for your password to manually copy the password and into the website.
A very temperamental offering. And there is next to no support from the support team. Each time I log an issue I am told that my issues only affect a minority so therefore it's not a priority. Great. However I have used Dashlane premium for around 3 years now and not one of these issues has ever been fixed! I definitely will not be renewing and switching to an alternative, like LastPass, which has always worked as intended when I have used for business.

Have been a Dashlane user for several years - premium version. One bug has existed for a couple years and another for the past several months. Both of these have been discussed at length with their technical support. No resolution other than "reinstall Dashlane" has ever been offered. Reinstallation of the app and the browser extension ahs not resolved either problem. The two problems are seen in Windows 10 but not in IOS.
Problem 2 - Dashlane unlocks the security preferences and changes them so that the Master password is required for every website.
They also have a tendency to pass the email chain between support personnel who apparently don't read what was already suggested and tried. That is, you get the same unhelpful suggestions from multiple support persons.

After using my very expensive Dashlane Premium for a few months I am desperate to figure out how to get it off my computer. Where to begin wit the issues? Basically it does nothing it's supposed to to do. It continually logs out so you cannot rely on it to auto sign. Websites often don't recognize the auto sign and there are continued problems with generating and saving new passwords. Most frustratingly I have several times gotten locked out of various accounts I use because of login issues with this software. Don't buy this product -- it's supposed to make login processes smooth and effortless and it has instead made it a constant hassle and frustration.

Considering the price we paid as a small business for this product the lack of support is incredibly disappointing. Time and time again we have written to support to try to resolve issues and receive robotic responses. I have not been able to use the mobile app for several months. It is one star from me.

I used Dashlane for a few months. It was easy to set up, and incredibly difficult to move away from. Troubleshooting and options are very limited. I'm used to have control over my PC, Dashlane commandeered it. Notifications would pop up constantly, over site content, over desktop with no way to stem the flow. Out of all the passwords I keep, only 5 were eligible for smart password replacement (a feature which replaces your passwords with long and secure ones). Meaning that if I wanted to improve my security, I'd need to spend days replacing passwords one by one. Options for this program, including Advanced Options are not robust enough for me to customise what I wanted, or remove intrusive Dashlane ads, popups and marks wherever there's a password to be entered. When I moved away from dashlane, I just abandoned all the passwords, most were unchanged. I don't know how to get them back at any point.

When I downloaded this software at no time did they mention that the product in the form presented was good only for 30 days. After that you have to pay $ 59.99 per year which is overpriced. All I really needed was a place to look up my passwords rather than keep it in a notebook. Even then I found the product very mediocre. Stay away from them!

After purchasing Dashlane Premium and using it for the past couple of months I have now removed it from my laptop and phone for various reasons. There is an opening page each time you turn your computer on asking you to login with your pin or with your master password and there is a small tick box to keep you connected for fourteen days which I thought was a good idea for me as I live alone and nobody has access to my laptop but that didn't work. Each time you shut down or reset your computer you will be asked for your password or pin. When referring this issue with Dashlane I got the response of uninstall the program then re-install it which I did and that was another twenty minutes of my life gone that I won't get back, and still this problem persisted.
On checking this program has not been updated since 2017 and in my mail to Dashlane I said the I thought it time that they worked on fixing all the small niggly problems that people like me are also finding fault with this disastrous program. Another thing I am unsure of is I never used Dashlane as a password manager for my purchases due to just a sense of insecurity revealing sensitive passwords in that sphere. It appears in today's current climate there are hackers who can hack anything so I am maybe possibly a little afraid using the net for banking. Though I do use my own banks app online but then if it's hacked the bank pays should funds be lost.

I have tried Dashlane for at least 2 years. It is consistently slow to open, slow to respond when it does open, and freezes unexpectedly during use. I have followed every instruction Customer Service has provided in attempts to fix the issue, but there has not been a resolution.

It is designed for security and to save time on logging in to many different apps. You have a master password which you *must* remember as there's no reset and then details of all your logins are stored in your vault. Unfortunately, after a while of using it, it keeps asking repeatedly if you want to unlink your accounts, upgrade, do this, do that, before you can log in. If it asked you to do this once a month, I wouldn't mind, but the requests are a bit excessive.

Updated on 07/23/2020: AS of today my refund is still not in effect. How long does it take for monies to be refunded. And so I will continue to write negative comments about your Company, your Product and especially your Customer Service. If you don't mind the entire universal Internet hearing about how terrible you treat potential customers, then I certainly don't mind obliging. Just to let you know, this will continue daily until my money is deposited in my account. Each day I will find different outlets especially on Facebook and other social media to air my complaints. So just drag your feet and see how much you lose in the process. At this point I am no longer agitated and angry; it is now just a game at your expense.
Original Review: Although this program no doubt has value to others, for me it was a total loser. For one thing, they do not have Phone support, which is a major flaw considering the difficulty of its programs. And even though they promote chat rooms as a substitute, their version of a mutual chat room is a farce. I was promised a refund if the program did not work for me, but until now, they have been ignoring me which is a major mistake on their part. I do not intend to relent until they live by their word, unsubscribe me and return my money.

Dashlane is easy to install, was very simple at first UNTIL you want to make a change to your profile or change your email. Nightmare! There is NO tech support to help you. You have to communicate by email. It took 4 days to reply! Great concept. Pitiful support! The constant auto fill is a nuisance too.

I've been paying for Dashlane for several years. Lately there has been no kind of support when there is a problem with the software. They expect you to resolve all issues by reviewing their archived support, which doesn't fit all problems. It's just so they can save money by not having staff and forcing their customers in resolving their issues, while paying for it too. That's it not what I consider support - it's stealing. Dashlane is useless. I'm looking for another password manager. Dashlane no longer has the support they use to have from me.

$60.00 a year for untold harassment. They get your credit card number. They will not let you cancel and renew you every year for a service that is worse than useless and you cannot get it out of your computer. Conflicts with Samsung fingerprint and Google will not work at all with the majority of websites I use and you cannot get rid of it. Once they assign a password, lots of luck trying to find out what it is. Support is non existent. The only thing they can to do efficiently is take your money!!!!

Ugh... Dashlane sounds great on the surface. Decent price for a Premium license with good features. But...you can not rely on this software. One day it will work, then the next it stops auto-filling usernames and passwords. Go ahead and reach out to support and they want you to record your screen so they can see it. Really? They have to be aware of the problem just from looking at the reviews here. Do not trust the other review sites as those reviews are most likely fake which is common with a lot of software vendors. I really wanted Dashlane to work but it doesn't 50% of the time. PLEASE DASHLANE - fix your software!!!!

Horrific. They blame everything on "conflicts" and have you dismantle so much that you put your computer at risk AND it still DOES NOT WORK. Piece of junk. "Connects" maybe 40% of the time but still doesn't offer auto-fill. That is with the Premium edition. Support takes steps and steps they walk you through, 2 days after you contact them more often than not. I'm not getting paid to do their job. They have known problems when you delve into reviews that are not manipulated.

Tested the app for a month and until then everything was fine. Then I purchased the premium abonnement. Big ** Mistake.... Now I got Problems with two banking sites. The browser extension in all 3 browsers which are supported do not fill in the login credentials. Where should be the username it tries to fill in Identity instead of Username. Reported several times a problem for this sites. No reaction. Not even an info mail from Dashlane that they would work on my problem or so...
So I tried to help myself. Googled and found this help article on their site: "Dashlane isn't working on a specific website. What can I do?" I mean it is an official support site. And so I thought I missed that I could fix the problem myself. Got back to one of my banking sites and tried. But there clearly is not even the option "Experiencing an autofill issue? Fix it now."!!!! Why would you deprecate such an option? I mean there wouldn't be a support site mentioning it if it hasn't been implemented at some time, would it? I tried the second site I got problems with. Nope no option to fix my problem either. Thought I maybe missed a new version of the application or of the browser extension. No. No new version either... Maybe this option shows up in Firefox or Internet Explorer (I mainly use Chrome). No, definitely no option to fix my problem on my own...(**!!!!)
Whatsoever I searched the support site and saw a help button where you can start a chat. I hoped that I can somehow chat with their support. Nope... a **... chatbot... It couldn't help me. As I asked for help with autofill problems on specific sites it just linked to the help article I mentioned before. Other possibility was to leave a message... so I did that. Again. As before in the browser extension I told them in every detail what exactly my problem is. What I already tried and so on. Attached screenshots to show that the option is missing so I can not fix it myself. Two weeks later still no reaction. And now I canceled my subscription and am going to tell everyone that wanna listen not ever ever ever to buy this or pay for this application. They don't listen and they clearly don't wanna help you with any problem you have.
