      I had an absolutely awful experience with iMoving, a moving broker that promised a "set in stone" quote but ended up costing me significantly more than agreed upon due to their own mistake. Here's what happened: Initial Quote: I provided a detailed list of items to be moved from Arizona to Illinois, including dimensions and weights. iMoving assured me their quote wouldn't change, unlike other companies. First Red Flag: I was charged an extra $92 for second-floor items, even though I had specified everything was on the first floor. I accepted this as my oversight and paid.

      Major Issue and iMoving's $1200 Mistake: On moving day, the movers refused to work unless I paid an additional $1200 for items they claimed weren't on their list (a love seat, an armoire, and a glass table top). However, these items were clearly listed among the first five items in my original email to iMoving. This was entirely iMoving's error, yet they forced me to pay for their mistake.

      Lack of Accountability: When I raised this issue with iMoving and provided proof that I had included these items in my original list, I was given the runaround. "Trey" promised to look into it but never got back to me. "Evan" also said he'd investigate, but I never heard back. They refused to take responsibility for their $1200 error. Broken Promises: iMoving had assured me they wouldn't pay the movers until I was satisfied and signed off on the move. However, the movers were paid despite my never signing off, showing a complete disregard for their own policies and my satisfaction. Radio Silence: After the move, iMoving completely ghosted me. They stopped responding to my calls and emails, leaving me $1200 out of pocket due to their clear and demonstrable error.

      In conclusion, iMoving's promise of a "set in stone" quote was completely false. Their lack of accountability for their own $1200 mistake, poor communication, and hidden fees made this move unnecessarily stressful and expensive. The fact that they refuse to acknowledge or rectify their error is unacceptable. I strongly advise against using their services, as they seem more than willing to overcharge customers for their own mistakes and then ignore all attempts at resolution.
