Our editor’s take on Alert 360

Alert 360 could be ideal for protecting commercial properties. Unlike a lot of home alarm companies, Alert 360 offers specialized security solutions for small and medium-sized businesses.

Business security solutions include 24/7 monitoring, reporting and insights, adaptive learning and smart integrations. Devices like cameras, control panels, thermostats and motion sensors are available. But, it’s worth noting that Alert 360 doesn't provide warranties or money-back guarantees on products.

Additional services from Alert 360

Alert 360 offers several other options to protect your home and car, such as the Connected Car plan and the Flex 360 remote security sensor.

The Connected Car plan, which costs $8 a month, is an on-board diagnostic GPS tracker that monitors your vehicle’s location, shows diagnostic information and maintenance alerts, and sends alerts for excessive speeding, sudden acceleration, hard braking and other signs of unsafe driving.

Connected Car integrates with your Alert 360 system to help you create automated actions, such as having the lights turn on when your car parks in the driveway.

The Flex 360 remote security is a battery-powered sensor that provides real-time alerts for your property. Alert 360 states the sensor has an expected battery life of more than two years, and it only requires LTE cellular coverage — Wi-Fi is not required. The sensor lets you know instantly if someone is on your property and sends alerts if doors, windows or gates are opened or closed.

Before I get to the actual review, a little background. We originally had Frontpoint Security, beginning in 2009. The monitoring was done by Frontpoint, but for some reason we never understood, the billing was done by Alert 360. We had an occasional issue, but nothing that wasn’t quickly resolved. We had a series of three-year contracts with Frontpoint, but since 2022, we have been on a month-to-month basis. In 2023, Alert 360 took over the monitoring. Frontpoint was now out of the picture as Alert 360 now did both the monitoring and billing. Things were not as user-friendly as with Frontpoint, but any issues were quickly rectified.

Now for my review of Alert 360. Things were fine until February 2026, when we moved. We contacted Alert 360 via phone and email, alerting them that we were moving. According to both their website and people we talked to, someone from Alert 360 would contact us in a day or so. Sadly, we never received a call back. We send numerous messages via their website and called at least 6 times. Always the same response…someone will call in a day or so. Finally, after almost three weeks of trying, we just cancelled the service. Interestingly, after cancelling, someone did call to try to make amends, but it was too late.

But the worst part was that I cancelled with an effective date of February 28, 2026. The next week, I noticed that we were charged for monitoring service for March, even though we no longer had service. I called and talked to several people while trying to keep my anger under control. I was told that the contract contained a cancellation clause that required a 30-day notice. I explained repeatedly that our last Frontpoint contract expired in 2022 and we had been on month-to-month service since. Therefore, we never had a contract with Alert 360. Sadly, it was like talking to a brick wall. I was irate that after treating us so poorly in attempting to move our service, we were now being penalized for something we thought was totally unfair based on a non-existent contract.

In retrospect, this may have been the best thing to happen. We now have service with a very responsive company who seems to genuinely care. That company is ICU Protection. As for Alert 360, if I could give negative stars, I would, as the last couple of months of service with them were awful. Obviously, they do not care about retaining a long-time customer, as we experienced some of the worst customer service we have ever seen.

Our experience started with a salesman/installer who misrepresented the product and what would be provided. It has been 5 years and we still have not received the front door camera we purchased. Meanwhile, fees have increased regularly. We're done with this company.

On day one, there was a breach of contract on the behalf of the Alert 360 company. I was quoted an installation price of 130.00 less than what was originally quoted, and also a monthly charge of 33.00 less. After the fact that the sales rep helped me to cut cost by not securing some of the windows and doors I originally wanted to, so I could stay within my budget. That was the beginning of a red flag! After me making several calls, attempts/several workers who stated that they were supervisors and can get this problem resolved, have all pretended to review the original phone quoted conversation, stating that the lower price was not quoted to me. That was the red flag letting me know of the security company's integrity!

For the next few days, I told several employees there has been a mistake. But to no avail, no one from the company was interested in resolving this issue. I have not used the service, I have not been monitored, because I don't use any of the equipment. I am requesting the company to please remove all equipment from my home. Please if anyone that reads this review, can give advise on how to resolve/report or this issue to upper management. Please contact me. Alert 360 you have all my personal information. There has not been any return calls from you identifying your company.

Had been with them for years when a technician bypassed a sensor without our knowledge. Some months later we were broken into and because the sensor was not operational the thieves were allowed to operate undetected. Some 5,000$ in damaged. Management said not their problem. When I asked for additional sensors to offset I was told I would need to sign a new contract at a higher rate because of additional monitoring. That is simply not true. Tried to profit off their error. A few good people but management in Wichita is a joke.

It seems the company trains his representatives to lie when talking about the contract. They do not explain at detail clauses such as the contract length. Mr Paul ** here in El Paso just said that one can cancel at any time if you are not satisfied but never explain about a three years contract and its consequences while trying to cancel that horrible service. Think he was more focused on obtaining his sales commissions rather than keep a new customer forever!

Very very very bad cancelation process. Charged us a month fee even though had a month to month service. I had been their customer for years. Started rate as $30 then $35 and suddenly $45. Called them and the agent honored $35 after paying $45 for 6 months. When l called to cancel because of moving the agent didn't mention any contract. I believed that's monthly. All potential customers please alert this unfair issue.

Do NOT use this scam company. You will be sorry. They make simply canceling your account impossible. They will lie, and continue billing you after you cancel. Look elsewhere for an alarm company. Run from Alert360.

      Updated review: June 17, 2025

I recently submitted a review (2* rating) of this company service. The bill I received was very much incorrect and the billing department Ms. ** explained and handled everything. I actually pay less than my previous service I was with. She made me a happy customer, with all the rates going up elsewhere, I just hope they continue being the same here.

      Original Review: June 17, 2025

Alert 360 took over from a previous company I was with. I was notified that there are no changes for the takeover. Months later one of my sensors battery was low. Alert 360 does not use the same senor that is already installed in my home. Next the main hub battery was low, I had to purchase the battery from them. Then a few months later, I get a bill from Alert 360 for about $16/17 more than I was paying. Wasn't notified that there will be an increase. I'm basically using outdated equipment. So, I'm on a new alarm service search.
