    The hearing specialist was very good. I'm very satisfied with my experience. The hearing aid has good quality. When I get into noisy environments, I found it so much nicer having that noisy setting, and then being able to kind of filter out some of the other sounds and just focus on conversations with people that I'm with. When I first got the hearing aids, I had some issues with it. The issue was something around the noise cancellation. It would filter things, but slowly within 10 seconds, the sound would ramp up and it was more like a static sound, and it was a lot of the background noise. Then it would instantly stop that sound again for another 10 seconds until it ramped up again. It would only happen when I would connect through the app. If I just wore the hearing aids, it was fine. But in some later updates, it got fixed.

    The hearing aid rep was great. He told me about all the different features of the Lucid hearing aid and which one would be best for me. I like that my hearing aid is connected to my phone through Bluetooth. I need an app for it to work. The app is alright. I would prefer if it is just like a speaker or something that you can use because it is Apple-specific, so I have it on my work phone but I can't switch it over to my Android personal phone. Other than that, the quality of the hearing aids is great. I had a lower quality one before and it sounded very robotic and tinny. The one that I got now is much clearer. It sounds more natural.

    The specialist was an odd character, but it was fine. He helped me with the fit and gave an explanation of the product and what to expect in the future. My Lucid hearing aid is very good, and I've had zero issues. It has an excellent build quality, great battery life, and very easy to use. I have the ability to adjust the EQ, and I appreciate that a lot because I'm a sound engineer. Other than that, being able to communicate through my cellphone makes a big difference. I've gotten used to the app too. I don't use it as much to change between modes though. I generally just turn the volume up or down, but if I bother to use it, it works very well.

    I like Lucid Hearing. They have taken care of everything so far. I haven't had to send anything back or have anything repaired. It's very good. Compared to a whole lot of things, they're a little expensive, but they're certainly worth the money. I'm satisfied. This is the second pair of Lucid hearing aids that I have. I got them through Sam's Club and the first pair was fine. The pair I currently have are much better. The biggest benefit is the clarity of the language that's being spoken. I can hear many things that I would get somewhat confused about or say the wrong thing or something inappropriate because I answer incorrectly. It has certainly helped with that.

    My purchase experience was fine. I went in and had the regular examination. Then, they put you in the silent room and you listen to buzzing. From there, they determine how each ear is hearing. It was a lady I dealt with and she did a nice job and recommended the current ones that I have. We tried them on and it made a big difference. She said there are 120 channels in the current one. So, that was a benefit to me.

    I asked the Lucid Hearing reps what the hearing test entailed, what it included, and how long it would take. Michael was very nice. He told me everything that I needed to know, answered everything that I asked, and he walked me through how the test would go, and it was quick and easy. I decided to go with a pair of hearing aids because I can't hear high-pitched stuff anymore. When Michael showed me the difference with the sample pair, I was shocked at how much I could not hear. He programmed my program into the sample hearing aids and let me try them out. So, he put my exact information into it. I was like, "Oh, I cannot hear anything really."

    My set is not uncomfortable. It's a bit weird, especially since I wear glasses. So, I have to adjust them so my glasses sit on top of the hearing aid battery holding them. Other than that, it's not uncomfortable to wear them for hours at a time. I got the $1,600 hearing aids, and they said that they had stopped doing the payment plan on that one and the one below it. If I'd been able to do the payment plan, I would have been happier. I just put it on my credit card.

    I charge my battery-powered hearing aids once a week or a week and a half. I'm around a lot of loud noises, so it drains them faster when I'm with more noise. However, I just downloaded the app, and I can change the settings with it. If I'm at a concert or listening to music, I can change the settings so that it'll focus more on the sound. If I'm in a noisy environment, I can block out all the extra noise so I can concentrate on who I'm talking to. I was also trying to see if I can Bluetooth music to them, but I don't know if that will work or not.

    I grew up with hearing aids when I was younger and I hated them. I didn't like the big mold. I kept having ear problems with them then in junior high, I quit wearing them. Since then, I didn't want to go back to hearing aids. They didn't really help in the sense that everything felt like a microphone. But this year, the audiologist did a really good job of fine-tuning the noise from my Lucid hearing aid and making sure it didn't sound like a microphone and that it sounded like a normal room of people talking. I like that I didn't have to get fitted for a mold and it's just a little thing that goes in your ear. It functions well and I'm able to hear sounds I didn't know existed. It's pretty easy to use, too.

    My Lucid hearing aid is worth the purchase. Whenever I talked to people in a group setting, it was really hard to follow the conversation. I had to piece together what people were saying, and then I would still miss out on 60% of the conversation. But now, I'm able to follow the conversation. I'm still missing things, but it's way better than even when I was a kid when I had hearing aids. Now, I can have a conversation and not be distracted by the background noise.

    The lady at Sam's Club offered a free hearing test, then we ordered whatever she thought would be the right thing to have. We got the Lucid hearing aids for my 18-year-old daughter and these are her first adult version. She likes that they Bluetooth to her phone but I am very concerned of the possible radiation that close to her head. So I would rather have an option that didn't have Bluetooth. But we had no option that didn't have Bluetooth if we wanted to do hearing aids. She's had several concussions so she's very sensitive to this silly Bluetooth radiation. It gives her migraines.

    We told the hearing aid lady that ordered them for us about this concern and she told us to disconnect Bluetooth from the phone. So if you turn the Bluetooth off on your phone, then it shouldn't Bluetooth to the hearing aid. But I still think if they're a receiver, they're still looking for the signal. So, the hearing aids would still be looking for the Bluetooth signal even if there isn't a Bluetooth signal being delivered. I would like Lucid to have an option that doesn't have Bluetooth because there are people out there that are sensitive to all this living in a microwave oven.

    Other than that, my daughter loves that the hearing aids are so hidden. They have the thing that goes in her ear which is this tiny little cone that the tubing hooks to and it's put in her ear pretty deep. In fact, she does Brazilian jiu-jitsu and when the guy was showing a demonstrating technique to her and he put his head near her head, her hearing aid screeched. He was perplexed and he pulled away. Then he went back in position and it screeched again. She heard it, but she assumed nobody else could hear it. When he pulled back the third time, he asked if she could hear it as well and she told him that she has hearing aids. So she was thrilled that they were that incognito.

    Her whole life, my daughter had fully filled her ear canal all the way where everybody could see her hearing aids in her ears. If you put your hand flush up against your ear, it filled that much. She also picked blue, which was obnoxious blue, and they showed up in every picture. She regretted that for the next four years. So, when the hearing aid lady at Sam's Club told her to get the waffle one that the air and other room sounds could get thru the ear canal, she said no. Other than that, the hearing aids are great.

    I got the over the ear hearing aid from Lucid Hearing and I chose that because it had the additional range that I needed for future hearing loss. Also, I got the chargeable batteries instead of the ones you have to buy the package. I feel like the rechargeable just over the long term is going to be a better investment instead of having to replace batteries pretty quickly.

    My hearing aid has the functionality of Bluetooth and it is fairly comfortable. I didn't feel like I needed the custom one that was molded to my ear, but it gives me additional support in my hearing. But so far, I still struggle with it staying put in my ear. My ear canal is sensitive, so there was too much pressure on the inside of my ear canal with that little extra wire that is 90 degrees out and supposed to lay in your ear to help keep it in place. So we went with a bit bigger ear end tip to keep the hearing aid in place just because it was bigger. But that's not a great solution either. It still comes out and I can really still feel the ear bud. I've never gotten to the point where I just don't feel it anymore. So I haven't found the comfort spot yet and I may need to adjust that again. But as far as hearing, it helps.

    My hearing aids don't serve me well. I have been back for an adjustment but it didn't help. There is too much background noise and I don't hear voices clearly. The background noise, like a clock chime, phone ring, etc. is loud but sounds I need to hear like voices do not come through well.

    My Audiologist, Marcus ** was as good as they come. He was excellent in coaching, answering questions, encouragement and willingness to assist my journey. If not for Marc, I would likely have ditched the whole process in the early stages because of the problems (below). I would score the devices a 6-7/10 compared to friends who have other brands. The devices constantly drop Bluetooth connectivity which can be simply annoying, as when listening to streaming, or extremely bad, as when it drops in the middle of a phone call. Also, the feedback the devices emit whenever my hands are within a couple inches should be curable.

    The hearing aids that I had and returned were junk. They seemed to nothing more than loud speakers with lots of static. Sometimes one didn't work at all and I would have to open the battery compartment to reset before it would work. I took them back to have them checked out and the agent reprogrammed them and that helped for a few hours on the bluetooth only.

    I have had a mixed experience with the hearing aids. For watching TV in a fairly quiet room. They're great. If the A/C comes on, not so much. And that includes having them on the noisy setting. Same with the conversation in a quieter setting. Is ok. Noisy atmosphere, just not great. I'm a bit disappointed having spent this much on them. Will be paying on them for quite a while. I do need to make an appointment to have them adjusted. And get the forward facing tubes. Perhaps that will improve the experience. As for the connectivity to an android phone. Nope, constantly dropping so I gave up on that. Which is unfortunate as the phone conversation was great with them. Even music sounded great from the phone connection.

    While my hearing aids make sounds crisper, less muddled, they have not improved my understanding of speech much. I hear miscellaneous noise too well. I don't use the accompanying program as feeding directly to just my hearing aids prevents being able to share calls with my husband, doesn't work on video calls, and keeps me from being able to locate my phone with a call from another one. Also, I cannot discern differences among the the setting changes (regular, noisy, music).

    I can hear a little better now with my Lucid hearing aids. I still struggle a little bit, but it's better. So, when I’m in the places that there's gonna be a crowd, I wear them. I get a bit of background noise. I wear glasses, too. So, when I put my glasses on and off, I get the hot mic sound. If I put my hair back in a ponytail, my hand goes near it and I could hear that.     I'm middle-aged and it's a little weird getting hearing aids. So, you feel weird about the whole process. It was my first time even toying with the idea of getting hearing aids, so that was ground zero. But the lady walked me right through it and answered all my questions. From shaking her hand to walking out the door with my hearing aids, it was probably an hour and a half. She gave me a hearing test and the way she programmed the hearing aids right out of the start was great. I never had to go get them adjusted. Although you can get ones that are rechargeable, I prefer to have a battery that I stick in there once a week. My fear was anything that's rechargeable seems like after a year or two, it gets to where it doesn't last as long. And these batteries are 25 cents apiece.

    Lucid Hearing is awesome and I'd recommend them to anybody. If anybody's experiencing hearing problems like I am, they need to go do this. Anybody who can get a set if they need them, their life's gonna be better. I love the hearing aids. The price was fair. It was 1,800 and you could have gone as low as 1,200. And that's for this superior product in my mind. You can barely tell it's there. It's behind the ear. Lucid has products as much as 5,000 but I don't know why anybody’d pay more than 1,800. You hit a plateau where once they're to this quality, it wouldn't matter if you were Bill Gates. You just can't buy a better hearing aid. It's already perfect. I don't expect to be able to hear what they're saying in China. Hearing aids are great but there's no way people will be disappointed if they get a pair of these.

    I got a free hearing test and the rep pointed out what I needed. I got the molds done and then came back and got everything lined out. Everything was just as I expected. The hearing aids have Bluetooth and I have batteries that I change probably every three days. There's a part though that I still gotta get the bugs worked out of with the audiologist. Still, Lucid was good. They took care of what I needed.

    I went to the place at Sam's, and the Lucid reps seemed very knowledgeable. I got the $607 ones, and I've already had to take them back in one time because it was very echoey. It was quite difficult to get ahold of the store, and when the rep made an adjustment, that seemed to make it worse. I will go back in and let them make an adjustment. However, I don't wear them much now. I'm in health care so I have to wear mask and they just get tangled in the mask.

    The audio quality of the hearing aids is quite good as is the Iphone app. The issue I have is with the intermittent bluetooth connections with other devices. The connection with the iphone drops out on either the left channel or right quite often. I rely on this connection for almost all my phone calls and apps with audio so it is quite irritating.

    Lucid hearing aids are way better and a lot less expensive. Getting them was a lot easier than it was with my original pair of hearing aids. I was 45 when I got these. I was 42 when I first realized I had hearing loss. And it impacted my work. But it's also an expensive issue that isn't funded by insurance very well. So, being able to get them there and that much less expensive was a big deal. The hearing aids do the Bluetooth. If I get a phone call, it Bluetooths up to that. And if I'm listening to a podcast while I'm working or if I wanna listen to music, I can listen to that. But also just being able to hear better and the level of clarity that they provide. With the cost alone, I recommend them.

    Lucid Hearing have made a huge difference but the Bluetooth doesn't work well with syncing so my batteries get drained a lot quicker than I was told that they should last. I listen to videos and for a short time, I'll have both of them that are connected and then one of them will go out again. The gentleman that works at the Sam’s I go to said it's the Bluetooth not connecting with the actual hearing aids in a consistent way when I'm using the phone feature. So that's been the downside to Lucid and because I use that feature often, it’s been a little disappointing. But overall, things have been good.

    Lucid is cheaper than what I was quoted in a couple of other places, but they are a little expensive for the results that I've gotten. I would expect them to work a little bit better for how much I paid for them. I have gone in and worked with our representative at the store. We've done different things to try and update software, and he'll redo things from the computer, hook them up to there and make sure that everything is programmed correctly. And there's been a few things we've been able to fix or make better, but as far as the connection with the Bluetooth, there hasn't been anything that they could do to help that.

    Your software sucks. Every time I try to use the shape it says cannot be accessed while streaming even if I am not streaming. If I am using the hearing aids for listening to a book if I pause and go to another room and do anything without taking my phone with me, one or both will not be connected when I try to resume listening. I have to remove both, reconnect, and set the listening parameters again to resume listening.

    Rechargeable batteries are problematic. I have had them replaced once after only a week. They work fine for a day or two and then when I take them out of the charger in the morning after about 30 minutes they are claiming low battery. The only way I can cure this is to put them in the storage case for the day and then recharge them from dead and then they will last about 6 hours. That is for normal conditions. If I am using them for a phone call, they will demand low battery after about 10 minutes. I am very sorry I kept these hearing aids past the full return date hoping they would be ok. This is my third pair and the very worst of the bunch.

    The person who fitted me did a great job. I don't think the hearing aids are $4000 hearing aids. Bluetooth has to be reset several times a day and the volume has to be adjusted many times a day. I find it hard to get good balance between the right and left units. This is the third set of hearing aid that I have had and all three have been different brands.

    My hearing aid sounded like it was in a tin can the whole time. When I was talking to people, I couldn't make out anything they were saying and they were sitting right across from me. It was like I didn't even have the hearing aids on. Every time I went back to the store, they would show me that the hearing aids were working. They would stand behind me and walk further back. That's fine because the microphone is back there. But when someone is in front of me is when I want to hear someone talking.     Lucid is the brand that is carried at Sam's where we do a lot of shopping. There was a guy who ran some tests or did some adjustments on the hearing aids if they needed it. The problem is it's 80 miles away from here. We only make the trip about every two months. I sent my old hearing aid in to have it checked over so I could have a spare if I needed it. We had a little trouble getting it back. It got lost in the mail. But it finally arrived.

    With my new Lucid hearing aids, they have more speakers in them. These new ones have batteries that go out somewhere between six and seven days. These are batteries that you buy off the shelf. The other hearing aids lasted almost 10 days or better. They say that's because the newer ones have so many more features. Other than eating batteries, my Lucid hearing aids are not too bad and they work. I can still hear but sometimes I don't understand it. These hearing aids clear up what I hear without them. The right ear needs to be kicked up a little bit right now to bring it up to the left ear and it's gonna be another couple of months before I go down the store.

    One problem I have with Lucid is the telephone service they have down there. The answering machine does not work and it usually hangs up on you when you try to call. I have to call Sam's and have them take a message over to them so they can call me back. Sometimes that works. They need a good answering machine. They're usually busy with another customer and until they get done with them, they don't have anything to return the call to. When they do end up calling back or when I'm down there, it's fine. The other thing with my hearing aids is they are overpriced. If you buy the ones advertised on TV, it's $300 or $400. Lucid goes to 2,500.

    I saw Lucid Hearing through Sam’s down in Tampa, Florida. I liked it, so I started pursuing from that end. The rep came and gave the hearing aid test, and he let my daughter try it on. He picked the right one that was suited for her, and he explained it to her. He did a good job. He gave us something good as cash. He wanted her to start pronouncing words over so she could adjust to it. Ever since I got the hearing aids, my daughter liked them well. The only thing that we could never get to work right was the interface with the cellphone. We've tried. We went back down to the hearing aid center and the gentleman put it on there, and it lasted a while but would go off. Other than that, I was satisfied.

The only issue that I have is that sometimes I have the aids in the charger all night and yet after only 4 hours I get the warning that the battery's low on one or the other, sometimes both.     I spoke to both Lucid representatives. The first day I had a hearing test, which showed significant hearing loss. He gave myself all the information needed.     Engage's rep was super nice. She let me try on the hearing aids and let me pick what color I wanted based on my own needs. She told me that some people get skin color while some people get their hair color. So, I ended up getting a brown color that matches more of my skin. She showed me all about them, how to clean them, and how to put them in. She walked me around the store and introduced me to different sounds. Then we went outside and she dangled her keys so I could hear that. I could also hear different people talking.

    My hearing aids have a music setting and it has a different setting for when there's a lot of people. I usually use the feature for when I'm in the mall because I have several kids at home and sometimes I have to turn them down. The hearing aids are a little bit itchy and not comfortable inside my ears. I told the woman that I got them from about that and she said I could put a little bit of olive oil on the end to where it wouldn't be. That did help. But overall, I like them and my hearing is completely different now. I didn't realize how bad my hearing had got until I got these hearing aids. Before, I didn't hear well something as simple as hearing rain on my windshield or my children's footsteps. And when I got the hearing aids, I was amazed at how good I could hear now. I just didn't realize that I had lost so much and I'm very glad that I got them.

    Purchased a set of hearing aids recently from Sam's Club along with the insurance protection. My first set was found to have a defective chip and was not really compatible with my Android phone - so were sent back to be repaired. Waited around a month for them to be returned. During this time I was excited about using their app to learn to control the hearing aids more manually- so went and purchased a new iPhone. Now my new phone is not compatible. My audiologist tried resolving the issue with her manager with no luck. She suggested I contact customer service. The lady in customer service basically said she could not help me and told me that "most old people don't buy new phones." If they are promoting people to use their app I want to be able to do so. Issue is still not resolved.

    My brother had purchased a set. He had told me how wonderful they were and how great the staff was at the Evansville, Indiana location. I went and it was very pleasant. They showed me several different types. I'm a relatively young age and instead of having something that could be visible, I told them what I wanted something to be as most invisible as possible.     I had pleasant and effective service at the Sam's Club hearing service, and the aids were good. But sometime later, the receiver (RIC) was damaged. I needed a repair. But it turns out YOU CAN ONLY GET A REPAIR AT SAM'S CLUB. (I phoned Lucid, and they told me that directly.) The one I shopped at closed, and I no longer have a membership. Which you need to get the replacement receiver. And the nearest Sam's Club is at least an hour's round trip away, not to mention parking. This is more of a hostage situation than I'd like. Fortunately, the hostage is a device.

    I got my Lucid hearing aid through the Sam's location in my community. The audiologist was really good. She tested me and I was able to pick out a hearing device. She showed me how to work it and clean it. I liked the purchase experience because it wasn't a Lucid rep. I got the opportunity to choose the one that I wanted and not necessarily somebody forcing it.

    I picked Lucid based off of the cost and the availability. Some of the other brands weren't in stock and it was one of the cheaper ones. Also, it's battery-powered that I change out once a week, typically. Sam's has the package of batteries too, which are like $8 for 40. For a year, it’s only gonna cost me $20 for the battery piece. That's one of the reasons why I chose Lucid. I use the device a lot more because it has some technology capabilities as far as I don't have to wear earphones or anything.     I had older hearing aids and I was just trying to find someone. I was just miserable. When you can't hear, it’s awful. My father-in-law had experience with Lucid and told me to go check them. He had just gotten his hearing aids from there so I went. I was very impressed with the rep. He was very helpful and seemed very knowledgeable. I'm like, “Wow, he's actually asking me what I'm looking for in a hearing aid, how I’m gonna need to use them.” With one place I checked, it didn't feel like they were looking out for me. Another one wanted to sell me cheap hearing aids.

    I'm a teacher and the Lucid rep talked about what I needed in a hearing aid like interacting with technology at school. There were several options that we could go with as far as ear modes, inner ears, and around the ear. He put me through the hearing test to see what my hearing needed. The information that he got from my hearing test was really thorough. I was very pleased. The rep had me set up and I haven't had any trouble. Lucid did really well. I went with the over-the-ear model and it was the rechargeable one. I put them in my little case at night and I haven't had a problem with them losing charge. Compared to the ones that I had, my hearing aids now are very comfortable.

    I'm not comfortable using the Lucid hearing aids and I'm trying to see another doctor. Despite buying a case for it so that the device itself can be charged, the battery life is not long enough. One of the ears will just go off and the other will be working slightly. So, I put a charger in the car. Once I get into my car, I'll start charging again. When I started using the hearing aids for the first time, I enjoyed it because it was audible. But later on, everything changed about the device and I couldn't even use it to make a call with my phone and to do anything in terms of conversation.

    At a point, whenever I'm talking to people, all of a sudden, one of the ears is not working anymore. Maybe it's because of the battery. But the guy told me that it was gonna be working with my iPhone, which was the major reason why I bought it. But I can't even pick up a call with it. Each time I try, the sound is very disturbing. I have to take it out of my ear and use my hearing port to pick up the call.

    I went to an event and I met a guy using a hearing aid and he told me that I spent so much money on this hearing aid. I told him that I spent almost 4,000 buying this hearing aid and I'm still paying the money and he said that it shouldn't be that much. But maybe our cases are different. At first, when I wanted to buy the hearing aid, it came with a battery and I was told it was gonna last for 12 hours. I said I could not buy a hearing aid for 4,000 and to buy the case that can be charged, I have to pay an extra $245. I was furious but there was nothing I could do. This was a way of Lucid exploiting their patient.

    I purchase a pair of hearing aids on June 13th 2023. I have purchased hearing aids from miracle ear (best but very expensive) and Costco (same price but better hearing experience).     Lucid talked about the different kinds of hearing aids. The very first time I tried one, the rep said, “Let's walk around the store.” And I said, “What is all that noise in the background?” He goes, “It's a warehouse. It's like that all the time.” I had never heard it before then. Every time I went in there, it just seemed nice and quiet. I settled on one hearing aid and I've had that one since. It helps with the grandkids sometimes when they come over and I can hear them better.

    I am happy overall with my Lucid hearing aids. However, your app needs work. I have a Samsung S23 Ultra phone. Your streaming app works (maybe 20% of the time) as phone speakers don't come through to your earpieces, so I have had to revert to your other app that does not stream. However, with this app, when I am wearing my hearing aids and they are connected to the app, the speaker will not work, I have to hold the phone to my ear in order to hear the caller.

    These hearing aids do not give me the comfortable hearing that I was accustomed to with my previous pair. If I turn up the volume they squeal. If I don't turn them up I can't hear properly. I have been back to have them adjusted twice, but not satisfied. I don't like the fact that they can not be turned off without removing the battery.They were purchased at Sam's in Lima. A $500 warranty package was added to the cost without asking me if I wanted it. The charging device is large and difficult to use. They also seem to tickle my ear while inserted.

    I like my hearing aids. They do good job when they work, the problem is the rechargeable batteries, don’t last 4 hrs, then they're dead, went back. Said I need to leave them in the charger when not using them, but don’t leave charger plugged up, I been taking them out of charger and laying them on my desk and unhook the batteries till I wear them next day and they're dead, looks like if you unhook the battery they shouldn’t go dead, like my wife’s. It takes regular batteries, last for 2-3 days, she unhooks the batteries every night. It’s like any rechargeable batteries. Charge them all the time. They get weaker and weaker.

    I am very frustrated with the devices, pick up background sounds and conversations but nothing in front of me. The sound receptors are behind the ear, very poorly placed. Was not given an opportunity to investigate any other device and ended up being pressured into purchasing the most expensive devices because there were no others. Told I could not return them after 4 trips to their Sam's facility and telling two different reps that they were worthless to me and wanted my money back. Now have a pair of expensive hearing aids that are useless and cannot hear what is being said. Very disappointing and disgusting.

    I got the extra woofer, subwoofer and the tweeter on my hearing aids and it's got a program that works in my phone that I can adjust up and down. It's got four different programs that I can preset to my comfort and I like it. There’s another hearing aid that costs twice as much but you lose the ability to adjust it. With the hearing loss I have, it would not do me any good anyway. I'm not ever gonna hear the sounds that I'm looking to hear again such as high-pitch sounds. I have no problem with music and I've got a noisy room one where there's too much noise and it cuts off. I got a wind program where it cuts the front speaker off in case the wind is blowing in the truck. So, I like the Lucid program that's downloaded to my phone. I wish all of them had that. If you can't set the program yourself, you can get one of the techs at the sounds to help you set them to better suit what you wanna hear from the hearing aids.

    I have chargeable hearing aids. However, I could have the batteries taken out and regular batteries put in if I so desired. But I'm older and it's hard. Those batteries are small. It's a whole lot easier just to put them in the charger. People would have to try Lucid hearing aids and see, but I would recommend them. They weren't the cheapest, but they were comparable. I’m happy with what I paid for the hearing aids.

    My mother-in-law lost her hearing aids. The cost of the Lucid hearing aids was much lower than those from another company. We interacted with a hearing specialist. They helped us decide which ones were the best for my mother-in-law and for her hearing. They informed us that if she did not have hearing aids, she was completely deaf. That makes a lot of sense.

    The rep was great. He did a very good and thorough job. I had a hearing test and then he recommended certain things. It was a very good experience. He was very informative and very thorough. My follow-ups were always really good, too. When I got the hearing aids in, I noticed a world of difference. It really helped with the ringing in the ears. Before, my wife and I would go out to a restaurant and I would have her sit on my good side so I could hear. But now, I can hear conversations and I'm not saying, "Huh," all the time. So it really works. It helps me get involved in conversations.

    There are some things to get used to and there's still some things that I struggle a little bit with. I've talked to other people with hearing aids and it was the same thing. When I get in a real noisy environment, I was used to not hearing anything. But now, I hear everything. That part is a little bit hard. I can play around with my hearing aids when I'm in the restaurant where I can tune one ear down and one ear up if I'm talking to somebody. Other than that, it's been a really good experience.

    I came in to do the test and the tech did sounds and I was supposed to raise my hand when I first heard the sound, and then he read to me to see if I could hear or understand what he was saying. He said I had 60% hearing loss in one of my ears and then it was a little bit lower in the other ear. He did a good job. Lucid had financing at Sam's so that I could make payments on them, and it was interest-free if I paid it off in two years.

    When the hearing aids came in, he told me that since I had had loss of hearing for so long, that he was gonna start out lower than I needed and gradually increase the volume on them so it wouldn't overwhelm me. Over several weeks, I'd go in and he'd make adjustments to different tones or to the volume on the hearing aids. He had to change the little things on the ends of them that go in your ear and to a bigger size than what he started out with. So I was pleased with them and his fitting. They have a good sound to them.

    At one time, we downloaded the app on my phone so that when I was in a noisy environment, I could change it to noisy so that it helped me hear the people. If I was in a restaurant, I could hear the people I was with, but not so much of the clatter around me. The tech told me that I hadn't heard the noises for so long that it would take me a while to get used to hearing them again and he was right. He said he didn't wanna eliminate background noise completely. So he did a good job. I didn't know my car was so loud or had so much air noise coming in the car. So the only time I find the hearing aids irritating is when I'm driving.

    I would recommend Lucid Hearing. My hearing aids are very good. But it's hard to navigate the technology if you're an older person as far as setting the special settings and using the Bluetooth, especially in the car when I would like to be able to listen to the radio and let other people listen to it. Also, the charging system is not a good design, which makes it difficult to use.

    I have trouble with the charger that necessitates me taking my hearing aids off, unplugging the charger in order to use it. It's counter-intuitive in a couple of times I've put the hearing aids in there and plugged it in. The charger has to be plugged in to charge itself. And once it's plugged, you have to unplug it and put your hearing aids in there. It's sort of like a little case. The top opens and closes. But if I don't wear my hearing aids one day and they were still in the box, I couldn't put them in the next day. I got to take them out of the box and charge the box, unplug it and put my hearing aids back in it. And there's no way to put a fresh battery in there. I have to plug in the card or wait until it gets charged and put my hearing aids in there for an extended length of time. But I'm happy with the hearing aids overall. They work fine.

    I like that I can set my phone down somewhere and not walk around carrying my phone and I could get notified. My hearing aid would pick up the notifications from my phone. So, I would know if I have a call and I could just go to my phone. I go to the app to turn the Bluetooth on and off. Everything else can be done from the hearing aid itself.

    I first purchased my Lucid Hearing Aids from our local Kroger store, and that turned out to be a big disappointment. Unbeknownst to me, she sold me two different models that could not be paired with my phone. She also promised me free batteries for the life of my hearing aids and now that is gone by the wayside. After numerous attempts to contact her to have them checked as I didn't feel they were working correctly, I eventually learned that Kroger was no longer selling hearing aids. After some research, I found out that Sam's Club was selling them, but only at a Sam's that was not close to me.

    I went to the Sam's Club on Morse Road in Columbus and worked with David **. He was very helpful and was able to get my hearing aids replaced due to the circumstances surrounding my purchase at Kroger. After settling in with Mr. **, I needed to return to the store as I was having some issues with them not working just right. At this point I learned that the Morse Road Hearing Aid Center had closed and that I would now have to travel about an hour to the Reynoldsburg Sam's Club to work with Tammi **, BA. She too was very helpful and made some adjustments to fix my problem. Except for Adrienne at Kroger, I have been very pleased with your employees, Mr. ** and Ms. **, but I am still having some issues with the devices.

    I just wish you had a Hearing Aid Center at the Dublin or Hilliard Sam's Club stores so that I wouldn't have to travel so far. To be perfectly honest with you, if I had known what I would have to go through for these Lucid devices, I would probably have bought my new hearing aids from Costco.     I really like Lucid, their professional approach, and how helpful they are. I have nothing but high praise for the audiologist. I was just there yesterday and I got my hearing aids adjusted. With them, I hear more than I did before. But it is certainly not a fix. I still struggle to understand certain voices and my hearing is progressively getting worse. That necessitates getting my hearing aids adjusted to accommodate. Also I haven't been able to get more than two telephone calls through my hearing aid. Every adjustment I've made, volume, or anything else has all been done manually. So, the BlueTooth feature has not worked out but it's not that important to me.

    I recognize that the hearing aids are just not able to improve my hearing to the level that I hope for. But I also know that it's not the limitation of the Lucid Hearing Aids. It's just my hearing loss has been so profound that they can only do so much. But I can't hear well without my hearing aids. Now, I can talk on the telephone. I recommend going to Sam's Club and getting Lucid Hearing Aids. The audiologists are so cooperative and they're always available.

    The quality of the hearing aids could be better. They could fit into the ear, but after a little while, they come out and go behind the ear. It's gonna take a little bit to get used to them. It could also be simpler to make them either go louder or come down. What you have to pay for them is quite a bit too. Before, it was $1,300. I had to pay for two of them. This time, it’s over $2,400.

    The rep was excellent. He put me in a soundproof booth and did a hearing test. He showed me the areas that I couldn't hear well and was ok with. We talked about the different options that were available with the Lucid Hearing, and I went with a rechargeable battery. He put a set in my ear then told me I had to come back to have ear molds made. I was quite surprised. There was a learning curve once I got the molded ear pieces put on. A couple of times, they fell out. But I don't know whether they formed into my ear or I got a technique and I just get up, get dressed, put them in, and they fade into the distance, which is the ultimate compliment. Nine tenths of the time, I forget I have mine. I haven't had issues with this. I haven't gone back to the rep with them at all.

    There are several different adjustments to them, and throughout the time I've had them, I've played with the adjustments, and I always end up going back to the default of turning them on and using them. It has a Bluetooth and it can connect to my iPhone. It works better. I just pick up the phone and use it normally. I don't turn it up or down. I'm happy with the product. The only issue that I've had, and it's minor, is connecting with my phone. They don't always connect, and in order to get them to connect, I have to open the compartment where the battery is and close it.

    Lucid's price was a lot better than the others. Other hearing aids are overpriced. Lucid was 4,000 and the one with the rechargeable part was 4,400. I took out the Sam's Plus membership and their credit card and I saved $400 because I had to get two hearing aids and had to have the rechargeable battery for both of them. Instead of $4,400 in tax, it was just under 4,000. They don't do that anymore, though. I had to get a new right hearing aid because I dropped the left one and the dog ate it. Knock that up to the price of living nowadays.

    I went to a hearing specialist initially and then I had my annual hearing test and hearing aid adjustments up at the Lucid headquarters in Sam's in Daphne, Alabama. I go in the soundproof booth and they run the test as they're trained to do. All audiologists do it the same way because I've been in several different booths over the years. They then bring me back out and they use their electronic program to best adjust my right and my left hearing aid to better match my hearing deficit. They do the best they can. I try the hearing aids out and if it's something that's too crisp or just too much static with it, I can go back and they'll readjust them. Sometimes I do my shopping then and try it out. I usually have to be out in my normal routine of doing things to decide if they work or not.

    Overall, I'm satisfied. I can go up there and call Linda or her assistant between Monday through Friday. The only frustrating part is if Linda and the others are at lunch, they're not allowed to set out a sign that says, "At lunch. Be back at 1:30." If you just happen to walk in there at the time they go to lunch, you have no idea if they've just left, when they'll be back, and then the phone rolls to the optical department that's on the very other side of Sam's. They don't have any idea why the phone's rolling to them. But according to the Lucid people, that's a Sam's situation. That aside, the hearing aids are good and I go up there and their guy Logan will clean them and put the new earpieces in as I need them. I'm good as I'm gonna be. I love Linda and Logan. Linda is so knowledgeable. Logan has been there a little over a year and he's one sharp young man.

    I appreciate Linda and Logan taking care of my hearing aids if I have any problem cleaning them. I'm getting good sound quality as if I'd spent 7,000. All of that matters when you're dealing with hearing aids because you will have a problem with them every now and then. I had to take my recharging case to Lucid. I was having a little trouble with them not charging or holding their charge for all day. That was taken care of. You just gotta stay on top of things and keep them clean.

    If you can't hear well and you tend to not talk or go around people socially, that mental decline takes place especially as we age. When I get in a hurry and forget my hearing aids, it's like I'm in a barrel and I can't enjoy where I am. I know to sit up front and never to be seated in a restaurant that's a high-traffic area. My hearing aids have improved my quality of life. I can hear better with hearing aids. But it's not normal hearing. Anybody would have to understand that they're unrealistic if they think hearing aids can restore your normal hearing.

    No hearing aid is perfect and no hearing aid will ever restore the significant hearing loss in the right ear. There's too much background noise in hearing aids. Regardless of whether you put them on a frequency like music, noisy, or party, it won't cut out that background. You just have to know where you can go and converse with somebody. For my type of hearing loss, it's significant. I have the little icon on my phone so I can go in when I'm in a restaurant and just put them on noisy, party, or music. Lucid just updated that website and I had no trouble updating my icon on my iPhone. That's good.

    I like Lucid Hearing. I've had it now for several months. I love the Bluetooth. I use it with my smartphone and it works with my Waze directions on my automobile Bluetooth. It comes right through the hearing aids, so it's great. I can hear right through my earphone. From my experience trying other hearing aids as well as these, I can hear. Clarity is still a big problem. It gives me volume but not very good quality, and I'm not going against Lucid. It's just I’ve tried other hearing aids and they're all the same.     The Lucid hearing aids have improved my quality of life. I have an app on my phone and I can convert it to different areas such as if I'm at a movie, I can focus just on the movie or if I'm in a meeting and it gets loud, I can change it to where I can hear the person talking to me versus all the outside hearing interference. There are four different dials within there, so you can hone in on the best hearing options. If you're in a crowded area and you can hone in on just the person that's talking to you, the crowd switches and it doesn't become overwhelming. With all the improvements, I don't mind the price of the hearing aids. The quality is very good. When I travel, I don't even take headphones. I can just convert to the hearing aids and I'm good.

    I used to have to do batteries but now, for a little bit extra, I purchased the rechargeable batteries and they're good for five years. I have a plastic pouch that I put them in every night and then recharge. I wear them all day. So, by the time I go to bed, which is about 11 o'clock Eastern Standard, they're still working. The only thing that Sam's representative told me was that I had to charge the recharger by itself. He said I’ll wear the battery out if I put the hearing aids in and have it plugged into the wall. It’s like you’re charging the charger but also charging the hearing aids. So, you have to charge the recharger first, unplug it, and then put your hearing aids in at night and they'll recharge. That way, you don't ruin the batteries that are within the hearing aid.

    My Lucid Hearing aids are good. I can hear a lot of birds chirping and a lot of things like that. But it has some nuances. Sometimes, when it connected to the telephone, it wouldn't connect all the time, so I would have to keep opening the battery case, and then I would get a lot of condensation where the battery is and the connection is not perfect too. It loses the Wi-Fi. But I like the hearing aids.

    Lucid Hearing gave me the best service I've ever had in my life. A gentleman there, Perry, was at Sam's Club and he was amazing. I liked him so much that I bought from him, and he did a great job. The product is wonderful, too. The quality of the hearing aids are too nice and I like the app on the iPhone. You can set the different tone patterns on the app on it and it's pretty cool. The cost is very comparable and I have other family members that got them as well. They got them over at Costco and they're phenomenally happy. They also got them at $100 less.

    Lucid's pricing is different than others since they have this tiered rate. There are five different tiers that you can buy and I bought tier two because it would fit most of my circumstances. And if I wanted to, I could go another tier up, then another tier up, and another tier up. So I went with 1,899 but I could have gone all the way up to five grand. When you go up a tier, there are more variety of things that you can hear or set. And it almost got really over complicated once I got to tier two. The other folks that offer the same type of service, they're 1,699, so they're $200 cheaper. And the hearings aids run similar in the sense that they have Bluetooth and are enabled by your phone.

    I love my hearing aids but I don't use them now because there are a few things that I do multiple times a day that really drive me nuts if I leave them in as they are not applicable with that particular hearing aids. One is the nails of my dogs on a wood floor. We're in a north house right now, which means we live in a log cabin so we have all wood floors. I have two dogs and when their nails go through on the floor, it makes an extremely large cracking sound in the hearing aids. The other part is, when I'm up north here, I do a lot of cutting wood and fun stuff in the mountains, and I drive with the window down.

    With my Lucid hearing aids, I have to connect the Bluetooth in order to access the app on my phone and the microphone on my phone shuts off when I have the hearing aids connected. I called Lucid and they said that the hearing aids are not compatible with my Moto Z phone. But apparently, nobody told the technician that and I didn't know it. I may have been able to take them back, but I don't want to go through all that again. Other than that, the hearing aids cost a little over 2,000 and that was enough. The batteries last a week and I'm really happy with them. I have a TV turned down a lot lower since I started using them and I've seen quite a difference in my hearing.

    I bought a couple of things online for 500 bucks and they didn't work. You could not adjust them and the batteries didn't last. I went into Sam's Club in Jacksonville, Florida and a guy started helping me. They took a test and I got my first set of Lucid Hearing aids. From there, I wore them. The problem I had with those was every time you would work outside and it would get hot or sweaty, they quit. That didn't work for me very well. I went and got a different set with another company. I didn't like them either. They hurt my ears when I stuck them in. The little plastic tip kept coming off in my ear.

    I decided to go back to Lucid. I heard they had the rechargeable ones and I thought that would work better. I'm on my second set now and I have the rechargeable ones. Even when you get a little warm or sweaty, they work better. The other thing is the little domes that come on the end of the thing. I've had a couple of them come off in my ear and it's 500 bucks to go to the ER to have those things removed. I had my daughter-in-law remove the last couple of them a month or two ago. But they don't make them really easy to get on. They don't fit quite right, even the extra ones that they gave me at the store.

    Now, I'm out of them and I don't know exactly how to fix them. I can call Lucid. But I'm in Florida in the winter and I'm up here in Michigan in the summer. I don't know any of these Sam's Club around here because I live in the middle of nowhere. Also, the charge time on the hearing aids does not last 24 hours. If you're up doing something and you forget to charge them, you're just without hearing aids.

    With Lucid, I can definitely hear. But there is one other thing that is difficult for me. I can adjust the new ones with my phone and it still seems like if I'm in a conversation with somebody in a noisy place, I can't hear them. All I hear is background noise. I've adjusted them up and down and it doesn't seem like it actually changes. I need more people's voices than I do the background noise. I don't know how to shut the background noise off. That's aggravating. That doesn't happen all the time though. If you go to a restaurant and the acoustics are not very good and you're trying to talk to somebody sitting beside you, you have to ask them two or three times. You have all this background noise like plates, giggling, people talking, and music playing. That's all you hear. If Lucid could fix that, that would be wonderful.

    I've only had the Lucid hearing aids a few months and I'm still getting used to them. So there are definitely a lot of frustrating moments, but it's getting better and I'm hoping it continues. The rep set up the hearing aids to drown out background noises. The only other feature I use is volume control, which I use on occasion but not every day. Since I started using the hearing aids, I hear every little creak and crack. And the tones of people’s voices are very pronounced, sometimes almost to the point of irritating. But with other people, it's just like a normal voice. So that has to do with a person's tone and pitch. For the most part, I'm dealing with it. I would recommend the gentleman who did all my testing in a heartbeat. I go to Sam's Club on a regular basis and almost every day, he is there. If I have a question, and he's not busy, he'll sit me down and get it solved. So, he's great.

    The Lucid Hearing aids don't work. All they do is make sound. I paid almost $4,000 to get that. Soon after we got it, my husband lost one. I had to pay some money so they could get the one back. But they never got it. I ended up with a brown and a black. They told us that they didn't have the color we already have. My husband tried to use it for his benefit of hearing. But it gives him a lot of sound outside of when he is trying to listen for the sound he needs to hear. He is not benefiting from it. We don't have a connection with what can we do. The guy had left. We went to Sam’s and somebody else claimed they were trying to help.

    I've gone into Sam's Club, and I was observing the technician. I sat there and listened to what he was saying to other people. I thought, "This guy talks a good rate." So I went online and I researched Lucid Hearing a little bit. Then I went back and made an appointment. I was impressed with his testing and the thoroughness of what he did and how he handled himself and selling the hearing aids. He was very informative. I got the hearing aids that day. With the hearing aids, I hear things. But sometimes I hear things I don't wanna hear. I hear my bones crack every time I move and I've never heard that before.

    They have the smartphone capability. Unfortunately, it's only a handful of phones they'll hook to. They won't hook to my phone. The technician gave me the list of phones that they can hook to as far as being able to talk hands-free, and all those phones are well over $1,000. The list he had were all the latest and greatest phones. There was nothing older or anything that were less expensive phones. So I'm trying to find a reasonably priced phone that will hook up to my hearing aids. That's the only issue I've got.

    My sister, Phyllis, is in a nursing home now but the experience with Lucid Hearing has been good. We bought hearing aids a couple of years ago, and all has been good. The service has been good. The hearing aids are okay. I just purchased another set for her just recently, which again, have been working okay. We were getting ready to put her in a nursing facility and the hearing aids that she has are still doing okay, and we take them to get them serviced. Even though my sister has dementia, she’s still able to put the hearing aids on herself. She knows how to adjust the volume. They're easy for her. I just felt she needed a new pair. So, we bought another pair. I interacted with the hearing specialist and the experience was good.

    We go to the Lucid Hearing spot at Sam's Club, and all the representatives that have been there have been knowledgeable and friendly. They show a lot of compassion and patience, but they're very helpful. I've had to call on the phone before to ask certain questions. I've had to make last minute appointments like same day appointments to come in, and they always work with me. I'm happy with them. I would recommend them to anyone. I'm pleased with their service.

    The rep at Lucid Hearing gave me a hearing test and explained to me the results. Then he talked about how much hearing loss I had and recommended what he thought would suit me. I wanted something that you couldn't see, so he showed me what he had. We tried on some things and I liked what he offered. So, I purchased the hearing aids. When I first got them, you didn't have to stick anything in my ear. As time went on, that ended and they had to put a cap on to trap the sound because my hearing loss increased. Before, I could go days and do things and I wouldn't need hearing aids. But now, I have to wear them pretty much every day. They made it possible for me to comfortably function in all the areas and situations in which I encounter.

    This year, I was hearing noise that was associated with sound and Lucid's rep corrected it the best he could. But then it just got worse. I had to purchase some new ones, so I got some upgrade now. They take care of my basic needs though there are still some people's voice I can't hear well. But it's not the hearing aids, it's the person's voice and the voice quality. I can hear it, but I can't distinguish what they're saying. Soft voices are hard for me to clearly hear. For instance, my granddaughter and I have a male friend I can hardly hear. You got to be looking at me in order for me to even try to understand what he's saying. Other than that, I'm pretty satisfied with what I have now and the salesperson that I use tries to cover all the areas of need that I have. It's just that my hearing is getting worse and as it gets worse, it makes it more difficult to get it so that I can hear everything.

    My experience with Lucid wasn't very good. I documented what problems I was having and the rep tried to address them individually. When they couldn't resolve the issue, he suggested a different manufacturer. I was told the original model had some technical difficulties in using and supporting the Bluetooth so they stepped down the model. At the same time, I tried another brand and this other brand was just superior. We purchased the Lucid hearing aids from Sam's Club and ended up with a refund.

    I've upgraded and I've lost one hearing aid twice now. So I'm operating now with one. The last time I was at Lucid, the rep told me that my left ear was really full of wax and that I needed to go to a doctor. She was very nice. I have an appointment this month to go to a doctor. So I haven't been over to get another hearing aid until after I had to go see the doctor. The hearing aids get a little expensive. But they're very comfortable. I've been very satisfied with them.

    Lucid is significantly less expensive than the one my husband used before. We are working with Sarah and she's wonderful. She's very attentive. She'll call us and ask, “How's everything going?” She'll double-check. We didn't expect that. So the service is outstanding. Unfortunately, we just have these little issues. My husband is getting a lot of pinging whenever he's near something. That's what's bothering him on those hearing aids. It’s a little ringing. People can hear it when they're near him. We've gone in and had it adjusted, but it still bothers them for him. But I like that it's small and you can't see it very much.

    The hearing aids I got are okay. I can hear better with them than without them but I still don't hear very well. Sounds are muffled. It has volume control and a setting for crowds but I don't use that. It doesn't help very much.

    My hearing aids were upgraded. The upgrade went pretty easy. It took a little time. We had problems with the left hearing aids because it did the plug deal. They made it solid plastic, like go in the ear and it cut all the sound on the outside except for the hearing aid. But overall, the new ones are doing real good. The people at Lucid have always been helpful. Even when you had another person there, he was helpful too. They've been real good for me.

    Lucid Hearing is not cheap but cheaper. I saved some money. Jennifer was the one who sold the hearing aids. She's a wonderful person and very helpful. She managed to explain to try and make them get a little closer to my ear so that I could use the phone without taking the hearing aids out. The other one stuck out too far, and I couldn't use the phone very well with them. I'm pleased that my Lucid Hearing aids work so well. They're battery operated. It tells me when the battery is low. There’s only once did I have to change after a week. But normally, the batteries will go about 10 days.

    The Lucid hearing aids are fantastic. I've tried multiple ones over the years and I've had best luck with these. They seem to do better with moisture compared to a couple of others that I had in the past. Also, this is the first one I've ever had where the amplifier was behind the ear, and that's part of the reason it works a lot better than the other types I used that go in the canal.

    I spent a lot of time researching and trying to find help for my tinnitus. I had an experience with one dealer that said that he thought maybe he could help me with that. I went and spent some time, and we experimented with several different breeds of hearing aids. Nothing worked. I let it go for several years before I went and acted again, and that's after I had been to several audiologists and looked for answers. I finally just went to Sam's where they have somebody all the time. dealt with a guy who was very knowledgeable, very patient, and helpful. I gave Lucid Hearing Aids a shot. Since then, the gal that’s there has been very helpful with any kind of detail or repair. I'm pleased with the whole operation.

    I'm on my second set of hearing aids because the dog ate my first one. The second pair is less expensive than the first pair. However, they do the same thing and operate the same way. I get a very satisfactory aid. What I did early on was I took them back and said, “They're a bit loud. And sure, I can turn the volume down, but let's see if we can adjust them to where I don't have to do that. Then I have more flexibility.” The gal was very helpful with every little detail.

    There are times when I don't wear my hearing aids because I don't want to expose them to stuff that might mess them up. When we go to church, I always take my hearing aids or have them in and make sure they're turned on when there's music playing because there's a distinct change in the sound of music for whatever reason in my case. It sounds tinny and out of tune within itself out there. So, if I adjust with my hearing aids, it's perfect and musical like it's supposed to be. Overall, the hearing aids have been a great accommodation. I'm still disappointed that I have tinnitus and can't find any way to get rid of that, but the hearing aids do what they're designed to do and they're flexible. So, I'm good with them.

    I was not catching some words fully and my Lucid hearing aids helped me with clarity. I got the Bluetooth feature and that's very helpful, too. They're also comfortable as long as you don't try to wear a mask with them. You don't put things around your ears and expect them to stay there when you take the mask off.

    I sometimes have problems keeping the sound up on my Lucid Hearing aids. The rep hooked me up to the Bluetooth, and I just figured how to keep it going because it sometimes goes away. It drops off, and I have to reset it. The problem I got was to put in the mode. And Lucid said my ears are too little. I don't understand that, because my cousin has them and hers is small, but they said that my ears were too small down in them to wear those modes. But I’m glad to be able to hear.

    The reps are fine. But the hearing aid is aggravating me because I don't like technology and I don't like the hearing aid being connected to the phone every time I need to adjust it. I've gone back a few times to have my rep tweak so we still don't have it 100% but we're almost there. I had a previous cellphone that I had a control in my purse. I stick it in my purse and take it out, but all I could do is make it go louder or softer, and I couldn't do anything else. With the cellphone, you have to be able to get to the right icon, and then push a button, and then there are several choices if it's the background noise is bothering you, or if you need it louder because you can't hear the person next to you. I don’t like the touchscreens and I have trouble with my fingers.

    I hate my Lucid hearing aids. They are 20 times more expensive than the ones that I had gotten before. They still got to deal with the wires around my ear and in my ear. It's a pain. Right now, I got to turn up so much so I can hear you even on the phone. If I'm chewing, it's like I'm chewing in my ear. I hear every bite. I also can't hear the television well. Certain voices are completely lost in this vibration. I keep going back to the old ones that are broken. I hear better with them.

    I have constant ringing in my ear. For 56 years, it's been ringing like a locust. But wearing a hearing aid seems to bring that level of static down to where it's not quite as loud. I've had Lucid Hearing aids for seven years. One day I was working and was sweating so much that moisture got into the hearing aid and destroyed it. I went back to the same guy who did the hearing test because I trusted him and got another pair a few months ago. When the phone rings, nobody can hear the phone conversation but me, which I'm glad because sometimes you're in public and you would rather not have other people hear the conversation. The other feature is the noise ease. When you're in a restaurant and everybody's talking, being able to hear what somebody is saying is difficult sometimes if the noise is loud. The noise ease brings it down to where you can hear whoever is talking to you.

    Lucid's rep, Lisa, was really nice. She explained everything and showed me stuff. My hearing aids took a while to adjust and I still have problems every now and then when I left one. Also, you're supposed to be able to hear everything with them with your phone, but you're not. When you're listening to music or this and that, if you don't have it centered into your phone and centered to the middle of your body, whichever side your phone's at, you could hear. But on the other one, you don't. I was told it's because of the kind of phone I have, the Samsung instead of the Apple. Lucid hearing aids are more geared to Apple than they are to the Samsung or the Android. But other than that, my experience with them has been great.

    The sales rep from Lucid Hearing was very professional, very friendly, and knowledgeable about her craft. My hearing loss is on the high end range. So after demonstrating the system to me, I decided I didn't want my hearing to get any worse. I got a 64-channel system. it's on there as opposed to the 128 or higher. I chose it because the sound quality for the hearing that I have at this hearing loss that I have at this time is not substantial enough to look at going to more channel systems. It's a decision that I made from the information that was given to me on there. There are some things I like, there are some things I don't, and I understand, unfortunately, that hearing aids are not the end all of everything, so you just have to say, “Okay. You gotta live with this and this is the best you can get. This is what you're gonna get.”

    After having the hearing aids, I was hoping that they would have a further range for, being able to talk on my cell phone away from my cell phone. If I walk four feet away from them, it’s pretty much over on that. That was a kind of a surprise, because I have a lot of Bluetooth units that I've been using over the years for my ears just talking on the phone, and those are better than the hearing aids for talking on the phone. The volume that I would experience through the hearing aids would not be able to get to a point where I could actually hear well, especially in a work environment.

    They're doing the job that they're designed for, but with the limitations of hearing aids, there's just only so many things you can do. You can't expect it to be perfect. It is a good product. The first ones that we had did not work well. They had a glitch that apparently, I was the first one to notice it. It was using this programming and then it would just go on its own and do whatever it wanted to. I was getting feedback in my ears without me doing anything to them. It was more predominant when I had both of the hearing aids in as opposed to using one which I have right now in my ear.

    One thing that these hearing aids have improved is my ability to hear birds from me sitting in the house and them being outside. The best thing is I am able to hear things that were there all the time, but I never appreciated because I really couldn't hear them. Overall, when they're working at their peak and they're doing what they're supposed to be doing, it's almost as if I don't have hearing aids in there. The sound is like it should be. It's not like I'm not wearing an amplifier. These are boosting the sounds that I don't hear without raising the actual sound level.

    Lucid told me the battery life would be about a week on these, and it would depend on how much streaming I do over my units that I have. I tried doing that stream while I'm driving, and it wasn't as good as I wanted it to be. When you have both of your hearing aids in and you're trying to stream anything, it will vacillate between the two hearing aids. Sometimes, one will come in better, and then the other one doesn't, and back and forth, and it'll switch in between them, and that's kind of irritating. I work and drive, and the truck’s noisy. So for that purpose, I need a little bit of amplification to overcome the background noise that I'm in. When I don't have that going on, I like to be able to turn my Bluetooth up, which compared to the hearing aid, it’s a little more difficult to do on the fly.

    The last time I went to Lucid to get this pair of hearing aids was nothing like when I got the first pair. Mainly because it didn't even go through all the testing that it should. The rep said one of the machines was broken and they replaced it. So she didn't even do all of the tests. I can't hear that good with the hearing aids. They cause sounds not to be true sounds. I've been in meeting where I had to take one out. It was bothering me so bad. Once I took one out, I did pretty good with just the other one. That's pretty much the way it's been. I've had to fight myself to leave them in.

    My husband is 90 years old and he got his new hearing aids from Lucid. He thinks he hears a little bit better. But I don't. He's still reading my lips. I still have to speak up loud. In my opinion, he hears as well as he did when he only had one hearing aid in the left ear. So we're not all that sold on it. He had a follow-up visit already with the audiology person at Sam’s and they said, after you first get the hearing aids, they need some adjustment. So they adjusted it, but I cannot tell that it's any better. Our television is just as loud, and I have to speak just as loudly to him. But we'll stick with it because this purchase was expensive and we sure would like to have a little bit more or better return from it.

    The Engage sales rep was fairly reputable and he walked me through the hearing test and told me what was wrong. The first set, I was really unhappy with. I took them back and I upgraded, and these are better, as long as there's not any wind. But if there's any wind, I have to mute them. In a lot of cases, I can hear things a lot better. There were times when I was in a crowd, I had to take them out and put them in my pocket, especially if there were a lot of noise or if there was anything behind me because they do not work well. But they're a good bargain for the money.

    I bought two new hearing aids from Lucid. They have the Bluetooth on them, where I can hear through my hearing aids off my phone. This feature is really nice. Also, compared to whatever other hearing aids on the market and stuff, the cost is very reasonable. But I'm reserving judgment on the quality because I'm not really happy with the service I'm getting from them. They fade out. We did retesting and the lady at the office set them up. But I'm going back tomorrow to see the lady about this. She set a volume on them a little high, so I have to have her readjust the program a little bit. Also, sometimes they just seem to quit working then they'll start working again. The volume changes by itself. Other than that, I'm happy with what they are capable and what they are supposed to do.

    I have one ear canal that is much smaller and we've had trouble getting the hearing aid to fit there. I like the hearing aids but it's a matter of getting slight adjustments that go with things like this. We're trying different things to see what works. But probably the next visit, we'll get it all straightened out. Other than that, I'm happy with the quality and with Lucid.     The lady that I worked with was super good. I work outside a lot, around the yard, and I do a lot of sweating but my Lucid hearing aids held up. So, I'm sold on them.     We really loved the representative of Lucid. She was awesome, really down-to-earth. just matter-of-fact, and did not give a heavy sales pitch. I brought along the rating that this other hearing specialist gave my dad and she looked at it. She compared it to hers and she said it was very different from then told us why. But she never badmouthed the other and it made me trust her that much more. She was really professional and it was refreshing. She explained everything so thoroughly and we liked the product as well. So far, it's working quite well for dad. His favorite feature seems to be that he can go on his phone and adjust the hearing. And if there's a problem with it, the first thing we do is check if there's any wax or anything in it. But then, we also can tell if it's not charged.

    He gets a little confused with that because the box that we put the hearing aids in has to be charged and the box can charge the hearing aids. But to charge the hearing aids, you unplug that. They can't charge at the same time. That's what I took from the information and since I live right behind my parents, I go over there and help night and day. I'm here to navigate that, so it doesn't happen too often. It's only happened a couple of times where he got really confused and by the time he put those hearing aids in, sometimes he didn't have them charged. It seems logical that you'd plug them in at the same time and charge them together, but it's not that way.

    Other than that, we've really been happy with his Lucid hearing aids. If we had the money, I would have gotten him the best pair ever. Unfortunately, we don't have that, but we got the best that we could afford. My dad loves his hearing aids. We paid 1,700 for that and it really isn't that much when you think what a difference it's made in someone's life. It's worth every penny and it's made all the difference. He's more alert and into everything.

    With this particular hearing aids, he can go out and drown out a lot of that noise when he's just trying to concentrate with one person. And he does that a lot with his grandsons and things that come up to try to talk to them. My brother had hearing aids from Costco and dad was showing him all the features his have. My brother paid about the same and he said he didn't get that and the adjustment feature on his phone. He has to adjust his hearing aids on his ear. Dad told him that he went to the wrong place and he's got a little bit of bragging rights. The Lucid hearing aids improved the quality of life for my dad and for me, as a caregiver, that means everything. I also really love the service from Lucid's reps. Sam's Club has done a great job having Lucid there and we're really blessed that we had such a good experience with them. I'm an advocate for Lucid and I'm going to promote them as much as I can.

    The guy at Lucid Hearing talked to me about the process and then, I went into one room and listened to different sounds. I came out and listened to his voice and was able to see if I could hear that. I did that a couple of different times before he programmed the hearing aids that I was gonna be using.     We had trouble with one of the Lucid hearing aids when my husband picked them up, and I kept it. We went back up and got it, and he's still having trouble with it. So, I'm not really pleased with them. There was something wrong with the computer thing in it when we left the one there. The guy had some kind of a surgery that sent him off, and there was another guy filling in for him. When I went back out and got them, he's still having trouble with them. I'm waiting on the guy that runs the place to be back. I'm not very pleased with the amount of money we paid for the hearing aids. It wouldn't work. There was something wrong with the inside of it. So, they sent it off. My husband's hearing out of it, but it's like draining the batteries within a couple of days and he's having feedback. He's really having trouble with them.

    My husband had his hearing test out in the store without any kind of closed room. It was done in the corner by the blood pressure chair where you do your blood pressure where the rep just had a little half L-shape desk area which was wide open. It was a little distracting with all the people and hustle of the store. But other than that, our experience with Lucid was amazing. While we were at the store, the rep walked a good distance from us and held a piece of card in front of his mouth. Then he asked my husband a question and I could barely hear him. I thought there was no way that he could hear that but when he answered the question, I cried. It has really changed his life and he didn’t realize how much he was missing on before he got the hearing aid.

    A couple of weeks after we got it, it kept telling my husband that the battery was low every two days. So, we took it back and the rep gave us some fresh batteries. He said that if it continued to do that, he would replace them. And he did. The hearing aid has an app that you can hook it to but we don’t use that since my husband doesn’t do smartphones. Also, the Lucid rep told us that if we hooked the hearing aid to my phone, then any time my husband was in range with it, my phone would go off in his ear. So we decided not to do that because my phone goes off a lot. But since we got the hearing aid, my husband’s hearing has become much better. I'd also tell my friends to do it with Lucid.

    I was already a user of Lucid hearing aids for approximately four and a half to five years. And one of them went bad so I got another set. Lucid was at my local Sam's Club, which I visit weekly, and every time I go in or at least monthly, I was getting them cleaned and checked, and was very satisfied with that. I like the adjustability of the hearing aids. When I am riding in the vehicle with the top off, I can switch it to wind mode and it cuts out a lot of interference. I only have four settings that are active on my hearing aids, and the wind noise and the music are the main two I use.

    In the four and a half years that I wore my previous set of hearing aids, I've jumped in the shower or even the pool forgetting about that. Lucid says all over the specifications, "Don't get them wet." After the first couple of times I jumped in the shower, they apparently are a little more than maybe what's published. It’s the same thing with jumping in the pool. I've been out and the grand kids show up, and they want to jump in the pool and I roll right in with them. But the hearing aids bounce right back. I've already recommended two friends to get the hearing aids. I don't have to speculate. I've been pleased with the hearing aid’s quality. The on-site support and convenience of having them local is very valuable to me. I don't have to get off work to get them cleaned or get something checked that happens while I'm on my lunch break.

    The audiologist was well-experienced and she gave me a good review. I was thinking more in style to be hidden, but she recommended the over-the-ear style and that turned out good. There were a couple of options and I didn't know a whole lot about the differences. So, it was nice to talk to someone over there about that. The behind-the-ear is comfortable but one of the features I wanted was the Bluetooth and it sucks. I got an Android and the hearing aid disconnects from my phone, then it shuts off automatically. So, if I'm not doing anything or not around anyone, I don't realize my hearing aid got turned off. Then, if the phone rings, I'll have problems trying to answer it because the hearing aid shows that it's still on Bluetooth, but it's not connected. I hear that they're working on this issue but I can't recommend them because of that.

    Also, the battery life is short. Then for some reason, my hearing aid turns off because I'd be in the middle of a conversation here then all of a sudden, it's like I went into a tunnel and I get no audio. But other than that, since I got my Lucid hearing aid, I could turn the TV down 75%. Then, I could hear my kids and I could hear people talking without looking at them as long as my hearing aid is on. So, I could enjoy different sounds and conversations again. I also hear the birds chirping and I really didn't realize that was something I missed. So when the hearing aid works, it works well. But it's not consistent.

    The hearing aids are great but the Bluetooth aspect of it needs some work. Normally, with a Bluetooth, you can have your phone in your pocket but with these hearing aids, I gotta have the phone in my hand. If I put my phone down or in my pocket, I can’t hear people. They need to work on the range of the Bluetooth. Also, the volume jumps up on its own and it is a little annoying but I put up with it because it's not horrible. Other than that, I don't have to worry about running out of battery. Even when I'm streaming music when I'm stopped somewhere and needed to talk, they last me about a day.

    Everything is cleaner. I'm still in the process of my brain adjusting to the hearing aids, because I've had them for two months. That sharpness, and the sharpness being not the good sharpness, is going away and lessening, which tells me that my brain is figuring out what to focus on. I'm happy about that. Also, I like that I can do adjustments from my phone. But the app could be better. Sometimes, things cut in and out on the Android. I used to use the music setting a lot. But as I'm getting used to them, just the normal Lucid setting is what I use.

    When I had some issues with some feedback, I was able to, on the phone, isolate which frequency it caused. That's a nice feature. But I'm a musician and I do sound engineering, so that was an easy cross over for me to have that control to start dialing in where the feedback was coming from. I'm pleased. It was very stressful in the beginning, but that's because of hearing things that I haven't heard before. A banana makes a sound when it peels. Wow! My world got a lot bigger. When I take the hearing aids out at night, everything closes in. Which is okay at night, because would not be awakened by noises.

    I like the fact that I got the opportunity to try the hearing aids for three months to make sure that it's to my needs and my comfort. I'm still in this process of debating on it because I have issues with the loudness of it and toning it down sometimes. Also, I'm still not hearing as clear. I've had to make several adjustments already. The rep put them up. Sometimes it's too loud. I hear the speaker phone in the back of my ears. It's too loud. But the rep was able to work with making adjustments and I'm enjoying wearing the hearing aids to an extent. Although, I have to put cotton balls in my ears to keep them in and not have that loud microphone sound. I just have to find the level where I need to be.

    The pricing of Lucid Hearing Aids was reasonable. The ones I got weren't cheap but they weren't outrageous either. I really needed them. I've gotten along very well with them. I went in there a couple of times to have some adjustments done. The rep was able to always help me. I really like them when I'm in a crowd or in restaurants. It really helps my hearing a lot. These also help me hear women and children.

    People don't even notice I have hearing aids. They're so comfortable. My biggest problem is, I forget they're in there and then I get in the shower. Afraid I'm gonna ruin them by spraying them with water because that's happened more than once. But so far, they're still working. I'm totally satisfied with them. I'd recommend them to anybody.

    My hearing loss was causing family issues so I had to do something about it. I was planning on going to my regular doctor where I had hearing aids before. But my sister told me to try Sam's Club first. She thought that I could get the hearing aids at a less expensive price. I paid over $2,000 a piece for my hearing aids before and it was an out of pocket with no help from insurance. That made it difficult. I went for five years without hearing aids because they were so expensive and I thought I was going to have to come up with at least $4,000. But I didn't. I got both of my Lucid hearing aids for a little over $1,700.

    I had a good experience with Lucid's customer service. I made an appointment online and it was very easy. A doctor responded to me very quickly. I love my hearing aids. I like them better than the hearing aids I've had in the past. The sound is much clearer to me. I had one issue with my hearing aids and I went back to Lucid. I had a lot of background noise and it seemed to be louder than the voice noises. The doctor adjusted my hearing aids for me and they're perfect now. The only problem I have now is I don't use the Bluetooth on them because when I do and if I'm outdoors, I hear the background noise very loudly on the Bluetooth part.

    Their hearing test was more comprehensive than the one I had. There were more things that I had to respond to and it took longer. However, I'm a little disappointed in the fact that I was told that I could use my android phone to make the settings and change the programs. It turns out it's not compatible with my Motorola phone. I'm not a happy camper about that. But I like my Lucid hearing aids. I would just prefer to have to be able to make the adjustments on my phone and also to receive phone calls through my hearing aids.

    Lucid was a lot more professional and more thorough on their whole checking out my ears. Then, Jim was very accommodating. I had to go back to him a few times to tweak it and I tried different products because the cheaper ones didn't work for me. All in all, the experience was remarkable.     I'm still getting used to my Lucid hearing aids but so far, they open up sound and make speech much more clear. But sometimes it's still hard to hear speech over background noise because everything is louder. If I'm wearing them then I take them out and I'm in a setting with people talking, I can instantly realize how much I'm missing if I don't wear them.

    I bought the top choice which has more channels that allows you to hear better in all the different backgrounds. I can choose right or left side to adjust but I haven't really adjusted anything else. I haven't used the features but I know that the hearing aids have a setting for music if I'm listening to or practicing my own instrument. What I really love is when I get into a loud setting, I can turn on to that noisy setting and it does bring down the background noise a little bit. I also used my hearing aids when I was on a cruise ship where the wind was really strong. They have the wind function and it cuts back on that wind noise, which was really cool. The hearing aids also have made work and doing all my group activities easier. It's much more enjoyable to go out now because I feel like I can be part of the conversation.

    Lucid Hearing is out to make money. It's a harsh industry. I could sell hearing aids better than they could sell them. They care about people except you're still playing the game their way. They believe that they're doing their best for you but it doesn't happen to be that way. I know the hearing aids aren't gonna be perfect but they could get it as close as possible to make the customer comfortable. They're trained poorly to do those things. I trained the people who worked with me and they told me, "Come in every two weeks and let us clear the wax in the hearing aids." Those people turned into very caring people because they figured out what to do.

    I previously had hearing aids from Engage and the service was good. I kept in contact with them because I would go and have them check my other hearing aids periodically. I had them for five years or so and they were worn out. The ones I got now has a part that goes down and into your ears. It seems a little smaller, and they're more comfortable than the other one. I would recommend Engage. So far, I've been pleased with them.

    I really like my Engage hearing aids. They're very good. Sometimes I go to bed with them and forget because I don't even notice them. I got the ones behind the ears, and then the wire goes into the canal. When I lay down at night, if I haven't taken them out, I'll notice them. But getting into bed, they're very comfortable. I forget to take them out sometimes. As far as the customer service, the rep I'm working with has been very responsive. She is very good, too.

    My Engage hearing aid has been good and I'm happy with it. It's the kind that goes in your ear and the little battery sits on top of your ear.     I would strongly caution anyone against investing in hearing aids from this company. I have had an absolute nightmare experience dealing with them. Their website claims that they provide free, 2-day shipping on all orders. This is a lie. I placed my order with them through their website on 01/22/23, and I have yet to receive the hearing aids I ordered. I have contacted customer service multiple times, most recently yesterday. They assured me over and over that the product would be shipped via 2-day shipping, and I found out from FedEx yesterday that it was shipped FedEx Ground, which takes 5 business days to be delivered. When confronted with this, the customer service rep refused to accept any responsibility, even after being shown a screenshot proving the order was not shipped the way they claim to have shipped it.

    It has been one excuse after another every time I have contacted them, and they have made no effort to make this right. I regret ever having trusted this company with the money I have invested in hearing aids. I am stuck paying for this device for the next year when the last thing I want to do is give this company more of my money. Please think long and hard before doing business with this company. There are plenty of other reputable companies out there that I’m sure operate with more integrity and customer care than this one.

    I'm not happy with Engage. The batteries keep going dead and won't last all day. They cut in and out all the time. I'll be talking right now on my phone and one of them or both of them will go completely out, not connect momentarily, then they come back up. For the price I gave for these hearing aids, I'm not fond of them. I've been back to Sam's Club three different times and they replaced one hearing aid completely for me. The doctor there has been superb on trying to help me. I'm going back to see him at the end of this month. I'm trying to get by with these hearing aids until then. After that, I'll decide whether to go ahead and keep them or turn them back over and take the loss.

    Sorry to hear you've had some challenges with the batteries. We recommend opening the battery doors when not in use to save battery life. Depending on amplification of the aids, and the amount of streaming it can drain the battery life quicker.     My wife suggested I get a hearing test and it happened that Engage was having a free hearing test for Lucid at Sam's Club. I stopped in there and got a free hearing test. I definitely needed hearing aids so I picked them up that same day. I didn't have to wait to get them. The audiologist helped me and was great. Every time I go down there, they help out. For anything that I need down there, they're willing to do it. My hearing aids fit great but it takes a couple of weeks to get used to them. Once you get used to them, they're perfect. I like them.

    I kept telling the guy from the first store I went to before I left that I could not hear out of the left ear and that the hearing aid wasn't working. But he said the computer says it's showing okay and he wouldn't listen to me. When I went to a different store, a different salesperson had them switched around. The first salesperson had them in the wrong ear. And I needed to go on to a computer. Other than that, they work just fine.

    I had Engage hearing aids for eight years. But I never did the upkeep on them. They gave me a hearing test. My hearing was worse and had to upgrade it. I like the new upgraded Lucid hearing aids from Engage a lot. The first time I got them, I had to go almost two weeks before they readjusted them again at the office there. Because of snow and we had a small issue here, the rep said, "I gotta cancel. I gotta do it next week." No problem. But once they dialed it in, it was a little bit too loud for me at first. But this new thing, I can adjust it as is. When we get somewhere too loud, I can mute them. The people that I dealt with were also very professional, good and helpful.

    My hearing aids weren't correct to start with. When I went back to have them looked at, the first lady had already quit her job. The young lady that they brought in was trying to help me, and I kept telling her that they weren't correct. The company said, “Well, yeah, we can use these and try to make you some more.” They did and they were worse than the first ones I got. I told Susan, “You're going to have to re redo these because they're way too big for my ears because I have little, mini canals.” This is the third try and I only got these about a month now. So, I'm trying to work these out and see if they're going to work. If not, then I'll have to go with another option.

    Susan is very good, patient, and a very sweet person. She’s tried her best. What was so aggravating, it took me so long. I started getting these in October and I never got them until December sometime. What I don't understand is why they start charging and it takes a month to get the hearing aids. I already got a payment before I even received them.

    I like the hearing aids. When I get on the app on my phone, it says that all I'm able to do is turn the volume up and down. It also shows on there I could change the different things on it, but I don't have that option. Raymond at Sam's was saying that for whatever reason, my hearing aids didn't have that particular option.
