    I recently visited Sam's Club and came across Lucid Hearing. My experience purchasing the hearing aids was outstanding – a solid 10 out of 10. The representative was fantastic, providing me with excellent service and even performed my hearing exam. In terms of comfort and quality, I'd rate the hearing aids as 9 out of 10. I initially considered going to Summit Hearing Solutions, but their price, even with a discount, was $7900, which felt like highway robbery. In contrast, Lucid Hearing at Sam's Club priced the hearing aids at $1800 out the door, which I found to be a reasonable and fair price for quality hearing aids.

    The representative made the whole process smooth, and although the price was $1800, I didn't have to pay out of pocket because my boss covered it in exchange for some work I did for him. Overall, I'm extremely happy with my Lucid Hearing aids. I always joke that I have "magic ears," similar to Forrest Gump's "magic legs."

    I had bought a hearing aid from Lucid back in 2014, and it was time for a new one. I spoke with Courtney from Sam's Club, and she was really good to work with, though I had to work around her schedule since she seemed to be the only one available. Courtney was nice, but scheduling could be tricky due to their limited hours.

    I had to visit several times because it was hurting the inside of my ear. We had to keep cutting the device because it developed a sore inside my ear. Eventually, after the fourth adjustment, it didn't hurt anymore. But I wish it would have been cheaper. Also, I don't know if it's normal or is it just me, but sometimes I can't hear either way. I've had it for a month and I'm giving it some time to see.

    I decided to go with Lucid for my hearing aid because I couldn't hear very well and they had a store nearby. My interactions with the specialist were great; she was thorough in explaining the audiology exam. The hearing aid has definitely made it easier for me to hear people in my day-to-day activities. While I don't have a favorite feature, the quality of the hearing aids seems fine to me, although I don't have much to compare them against. They are rechargeable, which is convenient. I also use the Lucid Hearing app and find it very easy to use.

    My experience with Lucid Hearing has been very positive. I chose to get a hearing aid from them mainly because it was convenient; I was at Sam's Club, and they have a store right there which made it easy to get tested. The hearing specialist I interacted with was very friendly and knowledgeable, which made the process smooth.

    Although I don't have any previous hearing aids to compare the quality, this one seems to be fine, and it has improved my ability to hear what's going on around me significantly. I also use the Lucid Hearing app, and while I find it okay, I'm not aware of any necessary improvements. Overall, I am satisfied with my hearing aid, rating the experience a five out of five.

    I have to admit I am disappointed. I purchase to be able to hear my wife's voice better and in a group of people talking. No improvement at all, still a struggle to hear someone sitting right across the table from me. It has me hearing footsteps better, paper crumbling and water streaming. I do not need those sounds elevated. I have tried the 4 default programs no improvement in my opinion in high noise reduction or wind noise reduction. The volume defaults to level 7 which hurts my hearing. It is so high. I end up reducing the volume on both ears to 1. I have to drive a 100 miles one direction to a Sam's Club that has a hearing center. This too is an inconvenience. I going back for the third time seeking improvements. So far nothing has helped. I find myself not wanting to wear them. Due to the high cost I am still hopeful I get the improvements in being able to hear my wife's voice better.

    I have experienced some problems with maintaining the settings I put into my hearing aids via my smartphone, particularly the volume control when trying to listen to individual speakers. I am unable to set and maintain individual voices. Also, my hearing aids are very uncomfortable after wearing 7-8 hours.     My hearing aids quit working 10 days after the 90 day return window. I’ve emailed and called Lucid customer service several times and have yet to get a response. The sound quality is not great and I would NOT recommend purchasing this junk! If you have severe hearing loss, save your money and buy prescription aids!

    It is a difficult thing to go in for a hearing tests knowing you will not do well. It is not fun to spend what it takes to be able to hear. It is frustrating. I went to another hearing aid company before going to See Dawn at the local Lucid dealer. It was night and day difference and Dawn was great to walk through and explain all that was going on in what she learned from my hearing test. I received a lot more information and explanation from Dawn than from the competitor. Lucid has better technology and very comparable prices. Dawn was great to make this a good experience. Highly recommend.

    The hearing specialist at Sam’s Club in Chandler AZ is amazing. Knowledgeable, thoughtful, goes the extra mile. Your lender (Synchrony) is not so efficient. Took 2 tries to get on auto payment. I don’t have any hearing aids to compare these to but they seem to work fine. The specialist in Chandler has been very helpful in trying to find the ideal set up.

    I came across Lucid Hearing through an ad in Times Square, and we decided to try them. My daughter was born with hearing problems in both ears and needed effective hearing aids. She's used other brands before but was unhappy due to the excessive noise interference.

    The hearing test with Lucid was quick, handled by a good audiologist. My daughter appreciates the Lucid hearing aids as they allow her to adjust the sound and volume according to her preferences. She also likes the custom fit, as they made molds to perfectly fit her differently sized ears.

    My daughter is very happy right now using the Lucid hearing aids, unlike her previous ones which made everything unbearably noisy. She preferred not to use them at all. With Lucid, she loves them and wears them more often.

    I've had hearing problems for most of my adult life. I'm in my 40s, and my husband's been complaining that he has to repeat himself all the time. I decided to get hearing aids. Lucid Hearing's audiologist is located at Sam's Club, where I am a member, and I made my purchase directly at the facility. They fitted me with a hearing aid, and everything was very professional and well done. I paid extra for rechargeable batteries, and I charge them every night.

    The hearing aids have significantly improved my daily life, especially at home, where I can now hear my family talk. However, it does pick up a lot of background noise, which can be jarring at times. This means I sometimes choose not to wear it. While the hearing aids are generally comfortable, they can occasionally feel itchy. It takes a while to get used to having something in one's ear.

    The Lucid Hearing app has been very useful, allowing me to easily adjust the volume. However, the Bluetooth connectivity is weak. I like to walk and listen to podcasts and with my phone in my hand, if I don't hold my phone up close to my ear, it loses connection. When I'm walking, my arms are swinging, and the connection comes in and it goes out. Hearing other people talk was the whole reason I got the hearing aids, but I wish they could find a way to fix that as well. I'm struggling hard with that ‘cause walking is important to me, and people can't wear headphones over hearing aids.

    I would rate the overall product as a 3 out of 5. It's a significant expense at $1500, and I don't have Medicare to pay for it ‘cause of my age. In terms of the app, I'd rate it a 4 out of 5 because I use it often.

    I initially heard about Lucid Hearing Aids at Sam's Club. Unfortunately, my experience with the product has not been positive. The hearing aids tend to hurt my ears after wearing them for about an hour or two, so I have stopped using them since June. This has been frustrating for my wife because she wants me to use them, but the discomfort is just too much. The pain felt like a sharp, aching sensation similar to when you're unwell, and it started from around March through June when I was still attempting to use them. In terms of features, the hearing aids have a small tan covering with a thin wire that goes into the ear. However, when using them, my hearing felt worse because it sounded echoey, and I could barely hear anything clearly.

    I decided to purchase a hearing aid from Lucid because it was available at Sam's Club, and they explained how it offered many perks for a lower price compared to other options. I completed the hearing test and purchase right in the store. Initially, it took some time to get used to the hearing aid, but I understand this is common for first-time users.

    The device seems to be working properly. However, I struggled to connect it to my phone via Bluetooth. The store did not clearly explain this process, and it seems to depend on the phone type. I appreciated being provided with a phone number for assistance, which I plan to use. My favorite feature is the different sound modes, particularly the ability to switch to a mode that reduces wind noise. However, I've experienced discomfort because, despite having the smallest earbud pads, my ear canals are quite small, leading to soreness after prolonged wear. This feedback may help Lucid consider different ear types in the future. If they want to consider little ear people when they make them, that would be great.

    I recently purchased a hearing aid from Lucid after noticing some hearing loss. My experience with the hearing specialists during my visit was positive as they were really nice. However, I find the quality of the hearing aids to be somewhat lacking, specifically the Bluetooth connectivity. The reception is not satisfactory when connected to my phone for calls or streaming music and news. I've had my hearing aids for a little over four months, and while they have helped improve my hearing significantly, the Bluetooth feature is a letdown.

    Despite adjustments made by Lucid to try and improve it, I've resorted to using an external device instead because the connectivity just isn't reliable. That said, the hearing function itself has greatly improved my day-to-day living, as I can hear much better now. I had a 33% hearing loss in my right ear and 37% in my left, and the hearing aids have considerably helped in this area. If there were improvements in Bluetooth connectivity, I believe these hearing aids would be even better.

    I have been using Lucid hearing aids after experiencing significant hearing loss due to an eardrum injury from a firecracker. I decided to try them after a free hearing test at Sam's, which showed I had about 50% hearing loss in one ear and 20% in the other. The staff there were really kind and provided good service.

    I've never used any other hearing aids before, but I'm quite satisfied with Lucid. I appreciate their ability to change frequencies when needed, and the staff are helpful with adjustments. Functionality-wise, I've had no issues. I've recommended them to people. They have made my life 100% better by allowing me to hear people without asking them to repeat themselves.

My favorite feature is the Bluetooth capability, allowing me to adjust settings directly from my phone using their mobile app. Although everything was mostly perfect, I do plan to revisit the store to have the background noise adjusted by a professional, as handling it through the app can sometimes be tedious.

    While I would highly recommend Lucid Hearing overall, I found the price to be a bit expensive, especially as it was an out-of-pocket expense without insurance coverage. Despite this, the customer service was excellent.

    Lucid Hearing was the most economical for what I got. I did not have an appointment. The rep stayed over his shift to make sure that he could do the testing and everything he needed to do and answered all my questions. He was fabulous. He has reached out to me afterwards. He told me he would always be available if any questions arose. Or if I had any problems with the hearing aids, to feel free to reach out. That was awesome service. I would highly recommend him.

    I love that I can use an app. I love that the hearing aids hook up to Bluetooth in my car. One of the things that I like too is when there is a lot of background noise, I can go up and down on the volume. That is super. The rep told me about that. That helps a lot. Now that I have the hearing aids, I can hear things much better. I didn't realize how much I wasn't hearing until I put them on. I didn't realize how much I missed out on with conversations. My family had been telling me. I could tell that stuff was muffled and I couldn't hear some stuff and got people to repeat themselves. I've already told several people who have asked for hearing aids, one being a friend, one being a family member to use them. I've been very pleased.

    The hearing test I went through was very eye-opening. I knew that I couldn't hear, but I didn't know how I couldn't hear. The doctor explained that it wasn't just the decibels but also specific letters I wasn't hearing, which was a relief because I thought I was just being stupid.

    However, I haven't worn them in three weeks. I'm 49 and adjusting to having them in my ears has been challenging. It's the inner ear sensation that bothers me. In the morning, I'll wear them while driving around and working, but by the time I get home, I'm ready to take them out. It's more of an itchy, scratchy discomfort rather than pain. I've never been one to wear earbuds or in-ear devices, preferring over-the-ear headphones, even for shooting.

    Even though I haven't been using them consistently, I've already referred Lucid Hearing aids to friends. They're more accustomed to having things in their ears. Overall, despite some initial discomfort, I find the hearing aids beneficial, and the experience has been quite enlightening.     I first heard about Lucid Hearing Aids from my neighbor, who sells them at Walmart in Illinois. My neighbor informed me about the aids after a long history of tinnitus, which started back in 1976. Every doctor I'd consulted was unable to offer a solution, but my neighbor suggested checking my hearing. It turned out I had a 30 to 40% hearing loss in both ears and purchasing the hearing aids made a significant difference for me.

    Functionality-wise, I mostly keep the aids on the lucid mode, which connects seamlessly to my phone—a feature I love. When I'm outside in windy conditions, I switch to wind mode, though the noisy mode isn't as helpful for me. I find the music mode particularly great when playing the piano.

    Overall, I'd rate Lucid Hearing Aids highly, even though I have no basis for comparison as they are my first set. I wept a little bit when I first put them in because I had very loud tinnitus for so many years that when the hearing aids mitigated that sound that was always in my head, there was such relief. I would tell others that if anybody else has something like what I had, I would encourage them to give it a try.

    I purchased hearing aids from Lucid after my usual ear doctor recommended them. I interacted with a hearing specialist to get everything set up and paid for my hearing aids. I underwent several hearing tests with the hearing aids and the tests were similar to past experiences. Although I've had the hearing aids for a while, the mechanical feedback can be overwhelming at times. They're battery-powered, with the right ear lasting about four days and the left about five.

    I use the Lucid app to switch to the noisy setting, which I find useful. I can change the settings through the app or on the headphones, and the app runs smoothly, making adjustments easy. However, I only have access to three hearing aid options, and they are all the same.

    Overall, my doctor visit, the fitting, and the testing through the hearing aids were good, and despite some issues with mechanical feedback, the hearing aids themselves are decent. However, as basic as the hearing aid is, I feel it's overpriced. There's no special features other than the noisy setting. The warranty seems satisfactory though.

    My experience with Lucid Hearing has been a major disappointment. However, they do not connect well with my Samsung Galaxy Ultra 23, and the volume isn't as loud as I anticipated. Additionally, I've been stuck using the same dirty filters since I can't get new ones. The support person I used to rely on is no longer available, and there has been a lack of communication regarding why they left and who could assist me now.

    Whenever I reach out for help, I'm told someone will get back to me, but no calls are returned. This lack of support and communication has been quite frustrating. The hearing aids themselves become very annoying to wear due to frequent resets whenever they pick up a loud noise, such as wind. I just take them off and I just walk around deaf, not be able to hear anything or anybody. It had made me want to look for whatever phone number that the lady had given me so I can return them and get my money back because it's been a major disappointment.

    I initially heard about Lucid hearing aids at Sam’s Club. I chose them because they were more affordable compared to other options I'd tried before. I had some issues with previous hearing aids that didn't last long, so I was hoping these would be better since the guy at Sam's Club, Dennis, mentioned that the person who worked on cochlear implants had a hand in developing these.

    It took a bit of time to get them adjusted. Currently, I’m not completely satisfied because they hurt my ears, particularly where the insert goes. I asked if I might be pushing them in too far, but was told I just need to find the right tips. As for features, I appreciate being able to adjust the settings based on the noise level in different environments.

    Despite some discomfort, I would rate them around 4.5. My issue is that in noisy places, it's hard to distinguish the conversation I'm having from the background noise—a problem I've faced with other brands too. The hearing aids are quite powerful, maybe a bit too much at times, as I end up hearing excess road noise when driving. I enjoy the Bluetooth feature and the overall quality is good, but I wish there was a way to focus solely on conversations. I also wish there were more stores offering Lucid hearing aids beyond Sam’s Club to have easier access.

    I had been in need of a hearing aid for quite a few years and was searching for the right one that would work for me at the right price. I purchased my Lucid hearing aids in-store, and the experience with the hearing specialist was wonderful. They conducted a hearing test and showed me what my capability of hearing would be with how they checked my ears, and they were able to balance them out.

    My favorite feature is the ability to hear conversations I previously couldn't, which used to cause quite a few misunderstandings with my wife. The Bluetooth capability is also a great plus, making phone conversations even more convenient. The quality of the hearing aids has been outstanding and they've held up quite well.

    Initially, I found the Lucid Hearing app a bit frustrating because you have to fully close it out and reopen it to work properly. Sometimes if you leave the app open and then just exit out of it but you don't swipe it off, it says it needs to be updated. Overall, I'm pleased with the quality of the hearing aid, especially considering the price. I didn't realize such quality could be obtained for that cost. Additionally, having a custom one made is how I found out that was the only way it was gonna work for me.

She was very nice, explained everything in detail, and assured me that I could return if I had any issues. Unfortunately, I haven't had time to return yet, but I've experienced a problem with one of the hearing aids turning off unexpectedly. Despite changing the batteries, it goes dead after a while. I haven't been able to fully utilize them due to this issue.

    I had owned Lucid prior, then I lost them and had a different brand. They needed to be replaced and I replaced them with the Lucid ones 'cause I had good luck with those.     The lady that did the hearing test was wonderful. She walked me through everything and the results were what I had assumed, that I was having hearing issues. The Lucid hearing aids perform well for me. My husband sees a difference when I wear them. I'm not constantly saying huh or what, and he likes that. I like that I can press a button on the ear piece and it goes from wind to music. But if I wanted to listen to something on Bluetooth, I have to take my hearing aid off and open the little battery compartment for it to log into the Bluetooth. That's too much and I'd rather not do that. Also, I'm not sure whether I would have liked the battery to be installed. I'm doing the charger so sometimes, I run out of juice for it and I have to charge it. That's a time issue for me. I charge them two to three times a week. When she told me that I have to change the batteries out every week, I don't know if I wanna spend more money on batteries.

    Sam's Club made me decide to get hearing aids. I've been to an ENT previously and I was satisfied with the exam that they did. The people there were very good and offered me what was available. I had a pair six years ago and this pair from Lucid was a major improvement over what I had back then. I'm very well pleased with the hearing aids and I understand the price to a point. I could get by with cheaper ones but I paid for insurance and I might as well get the benefit of it. 20% of 4,000 plus is still quite a bit for a retiree. But I don't regret it and hopefully, they'll last a good long time and outlive me.

    I live out in the country and when I got glasses the first time, it was, “Oh, wow! I can see!” Here, the trees and the leaves are noisy. Growing old has its drawbacks but thankfully, there are products like hearing aids. They are benefits. I use the range to be able to adjust it for noise or wind or music fairly often depending upon the situation. And I have quite a wide range of being able to raise or lower the volume too.

    It was convenient to have a test analysis done at Lucid and complete and be recommended for fitting. Also easier to sit down with the doctor and not go through all the insurance loopholes on finding a doctor. I've had a hard time adjusting to it to wear them regularly. But I like to wear them at Skype meetings. It has good quality. But it’s hard to adjust to that feature of your daily life, worrying about where they're gonna be, or plugging them up, putting them back in a box, that type of thing. But they have done a good job. I really liked the attendant who was the doctor. He had quite a bit of experience at the location that was there, and walked me through that process because it was a hassle, especially in Sam's Club too, because it was funny too, because once I put the hearing aids on, I was yelling that whole time.

    We were at Sam's Club and I decided to have my hearing tested to see what was going on. I've had hearing tests from work and it's never been good. I was like, "I'm just gonna have it tested because it's free hearing testing here." That was when I found out I needed hearing aids, and Lucid Hearing was the brand they offered. I loved the hearing specialist. She was so helpful, easy-going and funny. Now with Lucid, I can hear stuff I've never even remember hearing. I like that I can stream my phone to it. It's one of the biggest problems I used to have. I hardly hear talking on the phone. And if I'm at work, I can turn them on noisy, and it helps cut a lot of the sound out when I wear my ear muff. I like that option.

    I like the hearing aids. They haven't given me any trouble. I bought Duracell batteries, and I bought batteries from Sam's Club. I don't like the batteries from Sam's Club. They don't last anywhere near as long as my Duracell ones do. I like the app too. It's easy to get on there and change it, and make sure my volume's where I like it. When I first got them, I could hear high pitches in my right ear. It was still harder to hear low voices. But I went back up there and Amanda helped me fix it and got me back where it should have been. It's been great ever since.

    My Lucid hearing aids are not even paid off and I already lost one of them. But that's not my own fault. I told the guy when I was buying them that I have no sense on my left side because of a stroke. But it still ended up falling out, so I was disappointed. Luckily, I purchased the insurance on it and they would replace that one. Other than that, the hearing aids seem to work for what I need them and I can hear a lot better. But the rubber irritate the inside of my ear a lot. It's like they're rubbing the inside of my ear raw. But I've gone to their place and the guy made it really easy there at Sam's Club. I went back there and they tweaked them a couple of times for me. So, overall, it's been a good experience.

    On a typical work day, I put them in at 4:00 in the morning and by the time I get home at 5:00 in the evening, it's already saying it's low battery. I wish it would last a little longer than a "12-hour" work day. Also, I'm not sure how long it takes to charge the hearing aids but they're good to go again in the morning. Sometimes, I don't put them on the charging thing until 9:00 at night and the next morning, they're charged up fully at 4:00 in the morning when I get up.

    I had a medical issue that caused hearing loss in my right ear. The ENT doctor prescribed a hearing test which would have cost $650 without insurance. My sister told me about free hearing tests at Sam's Club. I had the test done there. I felt as though I received a comprehensive test. My hearing loss was explained thoroughly. There were many tiers of hearing aids to choose from. I went with a middle of the road one due to the expense. I still can’t hear people speaking on the phone if I use my bad ear and forget being somewhere loud, I struggle to understand someone right in front of me. I want to think this hearing aid is helping with my hearing loss, but I really don’t know.

    My Lucid hearing aid works well. I could connect it to my iPhone. I have an app for it. My previous one didn't connect to my phone. It also didn't have rechargeable batteries and because of how profound my hearing loss is, it was going through batteries really fast. My Lucid one has rechargeable batteries. I usually charge them right after I take them off. My Lucid hearing aid is good when I can wear it. I have ear problems. I had a massive reconstructive surgery internally in my ear and it hits the scar sometimes. Also, I have micro canals. I took the actual ends that go into my ear from my old one off for my bad side and put it on the Lucid one because I'm tired of it getting stuck to my ears. I knew the old one would fit perfectly and it feels better.

    The place I went to talked highly about Lucid Hearing. I did some research on it, and Lucid seemed good quality. They're expensive, but not outrageously. The interactions with the specialist were awesome. I couldn't thank the man enough for it. My wife was there with my son who was four months at the time, and I got to hear sounds I've never heard before in my life that my son made. It brought tears to my eyes, and was a tremendous moment.

    I've been liking my hearing aid. It does a good job throughout the week. Batteries last me a week in total. I would eventually have to look at getting a different style, one that goes more in the ear instead of the over-the-ear one, but that's just due to the job. I ended up having to change the little plug pieces that go in my ears.

    The first ones I've had, whenever I was outside doing work and started to sweat, would get pressure build-up like I was scuba diving and would hurt and become uncomfortable. I cut my ear with it at one point because I was trying to adjust it. So, I couldn't wear my last one for a week or two while that healed and put in a different style that got slits on either side. That helps out a lot when I'm dealing with a bunch of stuff and I don't have pressure build-up in my ears when I'm running. Getting used to how the little inner part felt took a couple of days, but I don't have many complaints on it. I wish it would sink a bit more behind my ear. I need it to be more secure.

    I saw Lucid Hearing when I went to Sam's Club and decided to have my ears checked once. I needed hearing aids, so I went with them. My hearing aids are doing good. I have Bluetooth, and I like that quite a bit. The only thing I dislike about my hearing aids is they keep popping out of my ear. I can't get them to stay in there. The store tried to help, but it's still doing the same thing. I'm about 90 miles from the store that I go to and one of the plastic thing that holds them in just broke again, so I'm gonna go back there one of these days. I'm gonna tell the rep that we gotta work something out. Besides that, my hearing aids have helped me quite a bit. Before having them, I usually had the TV blaring, and I was only hearing half of the conversations I was supposed to. Now, a lot of my friends realized that I don't say "what" all the time anymore. I hear what they say the first time around.

    I've had nothing but problems with Lucid Hearing trying to get the hearing aids set right. Brian has been doing a good job trying to set them, but I'm constantly in there. Sometimes the right one he sent to get repaired would constantly beep. I couldn't hear it, but my mom could and it's high pitched. I brought my left one in the other day to have him tune it a bit because I only run on one hearing aid right now and it worked for a day. But I haven't worn it since Monday because it would work, but all of a sudden would quit working.

    I would take it off, open the battery door, close it back up and put it back in and I hear, and it would do it again. So, I quit wearing until my other one comes. I have an appointment with Brian tomorrow to get the other one back and repaired. And I've asked Lucid if there was anything I could do to get my money back, but we were already past the 90 days. I'm having nothing but problems and I don't have time to constantly come in and get them fixed or tuned.

    I'm enjoying my Lucid Hearing aid. I got it through my local Sam's Club but I wasn't eligible until I was 19. Every time I go back in for a problem, the guy knows me by name though I've only met him a few times. He's super friendly and helpful.     I did the testing in the sound booth that they have at the Sam's Club with the gentleman that was there and he suggested the Lucid Hearing aids. He said that they would help, and they've helped tremendously in comparison to whenever I didn't have hearing aids. Now that I have them, I can hear my kids and my co-workers better. I didn't know what I was missing out on until I got my hearing aids. I could hear the birds chirping and other random little things. I like them a lot in my work setting as well. I work in customer service and there are a lot of background noises. I like that whenever I am on the phone, the Bluetooth is working. It blocks all that out and I can listen to just who I'm talking to. However, I wish they worked a little bit better sometimes.     I went with Lucid Hearing's base model and they're fantastic. I love them. Quality is great. The interaction with the app, not so much. It's the Android, but I talked to the specialist at the facility at Sam's and she said that it was a combination between Android and Apple users. It dropped when certain applications interact with each other or you're doing something with the app and it drops. So, the app is a little fussy. I would recommend some upgrades there. Also, the Bluetooth connection is sometimes a little fuzzy. Sometimes it would pick up the left and the right. So, it has to do with programming on the app myself. But the hearing aid is fantastic. I've had an extraordinary experience. The facility was a privilege and a pleasure to be associate. They went above and beyond. I love having my hearing aids.     We came around this Lucid Hearing where we came to know the quality is good. The size of the hearing aid seemed good. And the person in the Sam's Club, the hearing aid specialist, advised us to go with it. We went ahead and thought of buying it. However, the cost might be a little higher. Not everybody could afford it. Reducing the rate of the hearing aids would be good. Other than that, the Bluetooth where I could increase or decrease the volume or any specifications I could do in my mobile is a good thing. It's very helpful. When I saw with the other hearing aids, they were big, which I didn't like it. But mine is smaller and it fits my ear. Also, I specifically looked for the battery thing or not the chargeable. Because I had the chargeable one and it was not that handy. The others were all for the chargeable thing, which I was not comfortable with. The battery is good for me. That's why I went with the Lucid.

    When it's really windy, the performance is not very good. Even if I put it on the windy setting, I still get a lot of that noise. Also, the Bluetooth could be better. Sometimes when I'm walking, one of the Bluetooth will cut out and then come back in and if I turn my head, sometimes it cuts out and it comes back. But the hearing aids help a lot. I can hear conversations around dinner tables and restaurants. It was a little confusing when I went back in to get the second one, though, because I thought the accounts were together for the autopayment and they were not so I still gotta try to get that fixed.

    My Lucid hearing aids seem to be doing what I was told they would do. They have a piece that goes in my ear and it wraps around the back side of my ear. After a little while, I have to take them out. As far as the settings, I can't tell the difference when I change from lucid to loud. So in my hearing, it doesn't really change a whole lot for it to make a massive difference between the four settings. I don't wear my hearing aids all the time. I only wear them when I'm in a business meeting or when I need them. I was having a hard time hearing in business meetings or group settings. In a large cell, I can't hear much at all when I'm trying to listen to someone who has a different vocal volume. I can hear everything now. I’m happy. I don't have a whole lot of experience with them against other ones, but overall, my experience is good.

    The gentleman at Sam's was the reason I went with Lucid. One of my friends was recommending him and I went to see him. He was excellent. I'm setting an appointment with him today to take my hearing aids back in. My batteries are burning out really quickly. They used to last seven days. Now, they're like a day. So, I need to get them back in.

    I needed hearing aids and the ones from Lucid Hearing were the fastest ones I could get, which was on the same day. They were also recommended by the Sam's Club hearing center, the place where I got them from. I like the price point on them and getting fitted was really easy. You go through the whole process of getting the test done then the shipment, then tuning them in. It was a 5-star experience. My hearing aids have Bluetooth and I can lower the ambient noise on them. I could also amplify it if I need to. They're good, but sometimes I've had my left one mess up twice.     From the first day after spending $5k for these hearing aids I have noted they will spontaneously lose power and reboot--about 10 times a day between the two. After sending in for 3+ weeks they were completely rebuilt. The problems, though less frequent, persists at about one to two reboots per day each but now I have to "play" or fiddle with the battery door to make them connect when starting out the day --after drying in an electric dryer. I have been wearing aids for over 20 years starting with CICs from Siemens and am not impressed. There is some feedback but much less than the CICs from Siemens.

    My experience with my new hearing aids has been fine. My only complaint is having access to ear wax removal tool and the little rubber cup. I was going to order them so I have enough on hand but there are far too many to figure out which one I needed and the guy at Sam's couldn't tell me.     The first Lucid Hearing set I got worked very well. However, I'm having a little bit of an issue with the second set. I've only had it seven months and it keeps going out on me. I'm not sure exactly what it is, but it whistles a lot and it always sounds like there's a background noise. I went back to Sam's Club to get the tubing fixed to figure out why it wasn't connecting to the aid. The rep ended up putting a new tube on and it worked. Another thing is I can never get the app to work. It'll say connected then it'll say connecting again so it's hard for me to get to the app to set the hearing aids.

    We went to the store and the Lucid rep helped me with the size and the fit. I also did the hearing test which took about 20 minutes. Their customer service was pretty good. Since I got my hearing aids, I hear a lot of stuff I didn't use to hear before, though some stuff are a lot louder than other stuff. My hearing aids are battery powered and it takes 5 to 7 days before I have to change the batteries, depending on what I use them for. I like that I can change the volume on my phone which doesn't really take a second, but if the battery is low, I have to take the batteries out and it does take a couple of seconds. I also have the app and it’s very easy to use.

    I've had hearing loss my whole life and I was struggling. I only had about a third of my hearing in one ear and a little over half of hearing in the other. So, I decided to get hearing aids from Lucid. I was out to Sam's club and they had a free hearing test.     It was awesome with the hearing aid specialist I worked with. I did the hearing test and there were recommendations of different models and the best fit. She made sure that we had a couple of callbacks with her and scheduling appointments. I had hardly any hearing in one ear and with the hearing aid, it was kind of surprising how much I wasn't hearing. So I enjoy it and I like being able to hear. It’s hooked in my phone also and that's one thing that helps me out. Also, I use the app occasionally and it seems to be pretty responsive and easy.     The Lucid Hearing free test was very helpful to me. Having the hearing aids, my family is not always having to repeat themselves. I also like the way that I could stream and listen to things and take phone calls through my hearing aids. The charge holds all day long. I get up at 9:00 in the morning, put them in, and I'm good until 10:00, 11:00 at night. There's a box you put the hearing aids in. You plug that up and charge it without the hearing aids in it. When you need to charge the hearing aids, you unplug it so that it knows which battery to charge, and it'll charge the hearing aids.

    They sell Lucid here at Sam's and the rep that was there was real sweet. She did a little test on me and she said I need hearing aids, whether I get them from her or someone else. I walked around the store and talked to people and I was amazed. But then I asked how much they were and I wasn't amazed anymore. They were very expensive. But I went ahead and bought them after a month. They lasted me all the way through from the time I bought them, which was in 2018.

    But then I ended up with something and I was in a delirious mode. I lost a hearing aid in my delirium and I went back down there. The rep said she could replace it and she could get me maybe a little better deal. All in all now, I'm over $5,000 for both of them. She was very apologetic, her feet being held to the fire by not being able to help me anymore than she could. Then, I got a message the other day that they'd like me to come in and that was no bother. Just come in and they'd test my hearing again and make sure they're doing okay. But I use the hearing aids all the time. They go through batteries quite fast, though. It's like a week, depends on how much you use them.

Last time I went in, the rep updated the app and my hearing aids. I went in a week apart. She had done it one time, it didn't hold. So, I went in again and she did it again. And it has held on. Everything works like it should. They're crystal clear and they're good.

    Updated on 07/31/2024: I've been wearing hearing aids for 15 years, and Lucid is the worst pair of hearing aids I've ever had in my life. I don't have any problem with the comfort as far as the way they fit. They fit fine. However, when they're not working, they're like ear plugs instead of hearing aids. I've contacted Lucid about it, but due to what happened with those people, I do not think they're competent enough to do their job. They're surely not competent enough to do my hearing.

    When I contact them, they say, “Come in. Let's set up an appointment." or "Come in, and we'll get it checked out.” The reason I chose Lucid Hearing Aids is because they're in Sam's and it's supposed to be convenient, but I can't ever get an appointment with somebody on a day when I'm off work. It's absolutely one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I only owe $400 left on them, and I can't hear worth a damn. I can hear the TV fine, but it's just voices in real life and on telephone calls. I would strongly advise people to stick with Starkey, Siemens or something else other than Lucid.

    Original Review: It's not been real good with Lucid. I chose them because they're in Sam's Club and is readily accessible all across the country. The interaction with the specialist was great, but it took me two and a half months to finally get my hearing aids. It kept messing the order up. Also, I'm not very pleased with the quality at all. I'm still not hearing like I should be for $5000. Don't waste your money with Lucid.

    My hearing aids were quite expensive and I purchased them because they had improved as far as streaming music and phone by Bluetooth. The technician told me it was my phone. I had several people download the app for me on their phones and it doesn't work. The only thing that works is putting the app on the phone period. I have 3 people that bought the 127 channel HA's at a different place, different brand and they showed me how they worked. So, I got duped and was overcharged. It won't happen again though.

    The hearing center guy at Sam's was super nice, knowledgeable, and caring. My wife is very happy when I wear my hearing aids because the volume of the TV is lower. I also don't say “what” as much when I don't hear somebody. I've got a couple issues with the cellphone connection on them, but I've got to get back to Sam's and see if the guy can fine tune it a little bit. But the quality of the hearing aids is great. I like the app connectivity, and being able to adjust it on the fly. It's a good product. It's probably the best out there for the money.

    When I take the hearing aids out at night and turn them off, they automatically go back to the default setting. But that's something I need to get the guy to program because he's got them on default at 7 and I usually turn them down to 5. I wish when I set it in the app, it would just stay at 5. But it's not a big deal. I just open up the app, I turn it to 5, and we're good to go for the day.

    The lady who took care of me on the initial exam was great. Another rep finished everything up with the hearing aids themselves and I've got them in right now. The quality is good so far. It makes my wife happy because I can hear her talk. Also, I have used the app. I've tried out all the little wind and different stuff like that but I don't really feel that it is that much different, so I quit messing with it. I stick the hearing aids in and the only time I ever mess with them is when I need to turn them up or down.

    I went online and set up an appointment to meet with Lucid. I walked in and the first thing they did was set me up with a hearing test to determine what exactly was my hearing loss and what sounds I couldn't hear. They talked me through how hearing aids work, what their benefits are, and then they gave me a pair to wear through Sam's Club to see how I like them and how they felt. Then I came back and decided to get hearing aids that day. So, they set up my hearing aids while I was there and gave me some tutorials on how to clean them, how to replace batteries, and helped me set up for payment so I can make payments on it. I left with brand-new hearing aids. My favorite feature is that they're Bluetooth so I can stream music on them and not on my earbuds. I use the app and it is great.

    I was at Sam’s and the guy from Lucid gave me a lot of information. I told him I wanted something for my son because he’s in college and the guy had a great option. My son came home the very next week and we scheduled an appointment. The cost had a lot to do with the type that he chose because they look like the little earbuds that the kids wear. Lucid had some other ones he could have gotten with the little string on it and then go by your ear but that wasn't gonna work for him. Being a young man, he did not want that attention. So, we went with the earbuds. I won't pay that much for him but I understood why that was. There were other options on different price levels but that particular one happened to be one of the most expensive. It worked the best for him, so we went with it.

    My son could barely hear and was just toning out all the way. But now, he’s interacting. He can hear you. You’d call him and he would answer. So, it was just he didn't realize it was that good. He got all the bells and whistles and he showed me a lot of those features that he likes. I was very impressed with Lucid. It’s amazing.

    At Sam’s Club, Lucid was the only one that fit my price point and they were able to give me the customized level. Everything else in the store was either above my price range or was just an amplifier instead of a customized hearing aid. I like the noisy setting on my hearing aids. If I'm in a restaurant, I can put it in the noisy setting and I don't have to hear the people behind me. I'm just focusing on the person in front of me. My hearing aids sit on the back of my ear. A thin wire comes over the front, and then it fits into my ear canal. It is very easy to clean. I use it for about 14 hours a day. I get up in the morning. I put it on. I turn it on. I wear it until it's time for me to get in my PJs. I had a wonderful experience with everything.

    When I'm in a restaurant or an area where there is a of background noise, my Lucid hearing aids make it much easier for me to communicate with the people that I'm with. However, I've stopped using it. Either it has stopped working or I've gotten more deaf. It seemed to happen quickly. I just haven't had time to go back to Sam's to have it worked on. Also, it can be a little bit irritating because when I would wear it, I wanna itch my ear. Another thing is I was going through batteries every two or three days. They improve the length of the battery life.

    I went to the Lucid Hearing store location and had a tech assist me. His name is Chris, and he was really good. I liked how thorough he was. I liked how thorough the overall experience was, but also, how easy and simple and very painless the process was. It was straightforward. Chris worked with me very well. I had to come back a couple of times to get the ears tweaked a little bit, but it was always a pleasant experience every time.

    Having these hearing aids, I can hear better, and it makes me more joyful because I can hear better with my family. It makes things more pleasant. I use the app every day. Some tweaking issues probably could be enhanced on the app. I do notice that sometimes with the use of the app, if I got the hearing aids on, I have to disconnect them from the Bluetooth. Once the call disconnects, sometimes the hearing aids won't go back to normal. They'll stay sounding like an echo chamber. So then I'll have to take them out, open up the battery compartment, close and reset them, and put them back in my ears.

    Also, sometimes, the distance between the phone and the hearing aid is very short. Most of the time, I have to keep the phone near me so people can hear me talking. It's weird. When it all jives, it's beautiful. I love using it. I work through it. If I get annoyed with it, I just turn the Bluetooth feature off and then I don't have any problems with the hearing aids. It's very convenient to have that. They're very inconspicuous, too.

    I had a problem with my Lucid Hearing aid. They poured some ear mold for me and they were so miserably uncomfortable. They were hard as a rock. They caused me to have earaches. I've had some over-the-counter ones from Lucid before and they were fine.     I had been tested a year or so before and the rep was able to pull it up and explain the differences between that test and the most recent one. She did great at explaining it and she also explained all the options for hearing aids. I got the higher ones because it had the rechargeable stuff and I wouldn't have to buy batteries all the time. Having the hearing aids was a little overwhelming at first because I didn't realize I wasn't hearing all the things that most people do. I like the fact that I can talk through it and I still have the capability of using Bluetooth stuff without having to lose a hearing aid. But I've had some issues with the app so I don't use it much. I have issues from time to time with them not connecting to my phone but I figure everything has issues every once in a while.

    The audiologists were quick, empathetic and professional. They were awesome. The hearing aids go inside the ear, but there's a part that goes outside of the ear. You can change the settings so that you can block out specific noises. Hearing is important so I always go to Lucid right away for any issues. And they’ve never had an issue with fixing it. I am satisfied. Everybody uses Bluetooth nowadays though. So I wish that that was available as a feature. I have a case and that's one of the issues that I have experienced. But they switched out the cases and they got me back up and hearing again. Lucid hearing aids are pricey but you get what you pay for. You have to consider that hearing is priceless. So I recommend them.

    The first customer service rep from Lucid I was seeing seemed like she was just trying to make a quick sell and the second one I've been going to tries to be helpful within the limits of what he's able to do. The hearing aids are great when they work. But half the time, they have not been working. I've had the same one go out numerous times and they cannot seem to figure out what it is. I've even had it replaced and it's gone out again. Currently, I am without a hearing aid because they are currently not working. Right now, they're not worth the price if the issue I'm having is consistent across the board.

    Before I got the hearing aids from Lucid, I could hear people but I couldn't distinguish the sound. The words were muddied. But now, playing music in the car is a lot different, especially with my wife. She would tell me we should listen to music at the volume I used to play it and what I play it at now is much more reasonable. And I noticed that I could hear it and enjoy it just as much as I could as if I did it 10 times louder. Before, I was depressed because I backed myself into a corner by not being able to hear. So I just stopped joining in the conversation. But now, I can be in the conversation with peers and not feel inferior to other people. I feel I can be normal again.

    My favorite feature is being able to adjust the hearing aids to exactly my hearing style and tones and what I need to. The software can be updated so I can have a better hearing experience. I have in-ears, but I don't have the ones that are solid. I have some where I can hear certain tones. But when it comes to higher pitches, that's where the hearing aid kicks in and helps a lot.

    The hearing aids were expensive but it was easy purchasing them. But I have an Android phone and Lucid has issues with that so I have had trouble. The only way I can get mine adjusted is if I go back into Sam's and have the rep adjust them. That is a little frustrating. I can't access the app so if the app was fixed, that would be a lot easier. There are other modes but unless I go in there and have the rep add them, I don't have a way to do it.

    My purchasing experience was great. The rep was also really nice. However, I can't wear the hearing aid for long extended periods. It hurts the inside of my ear. When I went back to her a week later, they gave me the thing, and then I wore it for a week, and then I went back to them. I was complaining about how bad it hurt my ear and she said that is the smallest one they can go. I'm wearing the pediatric one. It hurts my ear to the point where it starts giving me a headache. So I don't wear it all that often. I spent $2,000 on it and I can't wear it. I would really like it if Embrace would get smaller things for the inside of the ear canal. That way, it doesn't hurt the ear. Right now, if others have a small ear, I wouldn't recommend it because what's the point? You can't wear it.

    Lucid's rep was good at his job. He found that I had ear wax buildup and removed it. I didn't even have to go to the doctor. That impressed me. My hearing aid dulled out some, but he restored it with that. I didn't get a deal on the thing and they should have a senior citizen's discount. But he has to do what the company tells him. But I like that the hearing aid has Bluetooth. I can talk through my phone with it. A lot of times, and I know with the environment, I could hear a lot better that way.

I work in an industrial environment, so it's nice to be able to tune some of that out. The quality is nice. They're rather expensive, but I don't mind buying quality.     The overall quality of my Lucid hearing aids is good. Excellent sound clarity. I have tried a couple of others (since I got my Lucid aids) and their sound was muddy. As a sound engineer sound quality and clarity is most important. One disappointment is I still have difficulty having a clear conversation in places like a diner where there is a lot of background noise. However, there has been loads of connectivity issues with Android devices. This continues to be a problem even though the technicians at the store and corporate have been working with me for 6 months to resolve the issue.. The Lucid Shape app is wonderful for fine tuning to each different environment but if one can not connect then the app is useless. This was a known issue at the time of purchase but I do not feel that it was conveyed adequately to me. I understand there are not issues with Apple connectivity.

    I purchased my hearing aid on 12/15/2023 at the local Sam's Club #4861 from James ** for $1799.00. Paid in full. As James promised, I returned multiple times to try and pair the hearing aids with my Samsung Galaxy phone to no avail. After several attempts to pair the devices James told me my particular Model number A32 5G was not comparable and could not help me at this time, maybe at a future date it would be possible. This did not sit well with me because of what I paid, I feel I did not get the full value of what had been promised and paid for.     I was contacted by Carrie at Lucid after she reviewed my original review. She spent 30+ minutes with me to understand my issues and help solve all of them. I am no longer having issues with the app after completing the step she advised. She scheduled an appointment for me to meet with someone to make adjustments to my hearing aids. When I arrived, he had all of the information for the issues I was having and made the necessary adjustments to solve my issues. That was just yesterday but so far, I see improvement. It appears I should be on the right track with my hearing aid. I really appreciated Carrie contacting me and resolving all of my issues.

    I purchased my hearing aid in mid December of 2023. I was leaving for the winter in FL at the end of December and was told I could use any Sam's locations to make adjustments. I went to both Naples and Ft. Myers and each time I was told there was no person on staff. I waited until I go home and went to the Bloomington MN location to address the issues, at which time I was told there was no one on staff in this location but I could try Eagan MN. I made an appointment there and when I arrived they told me they could not look up my information as it was all in the Bloomington location.

    I asked if they could help with the upgrade to my software that I was told I needed. They said there was no such thing and I should delete the phone app and reinstall. I did that and I still have the same issue with my phone either not connecting to disconnecting from my phone so I cannot make adjustments to settings or volume without this connectivity so I never can tell if they are working or not. Sometimes it feels like they are but many times they do not feel like they are working.

    To makes matter worse I submitted this invoice to my insurance company to be reimbursed and they still have not been able to process do to they are not getting a response from Sam's Club with the code to process. I am 5 months into this and my hearing aids still do not connect or maintain connectivity and I am out the money I paid as I still have not been reimbursed. This has been a horrible experience. Due to my travel and no access to staff at Sam's club I am now passed by 90 day trial and still have hearing aids that will not work properly, Please help.

    I purchased my Lucid hearing aids in-store. The rep was very friendly, understanding, seemed to take my issues seriously and did everything that he could to get it to work out for me. They did a hearing test and based off of the results, I got one of the behind-the-ear prescription hearing aids. I have since returned them and went to a different brand of hearing aids.

    They did not seem to always perform correctly and I guess that was based on the way that the hearing aid was set up with the app. They would turn themselves on and off and do all kinds of crazy stuff. You could turn them off in the app, and then they would turn themselves back on. And then, if you would open the battery compartment, that was supposed to turn them off but then, once you close the battery compartment again, they would somehow reboot themselves. They were very aggravating. I had to take them back to the store that I purchased them at. The amount that I paid was refunded in the full amount.

    Lucid is available in my Sam's Club and there's always people there to help me if I need help. Robert, the guy that helped me several times, is very knowledgeable, personable and caring. He is an amazing person. The hearing aids changed a lot in my life. I'm able to hear things that I've never heard before and the people that are closest to me are less frustrated with having to repeat themselves.

    I got the top-of-the-line model that Lucid offers. There are several things that I don't like about them that I tried to have addressed, but there's been no resolution to it. It's on the application side. Robert tried several times to help me resolve that. It's more of just a frustration. It's not anything that's wrong with the devices themselves. You have to go into the app, and then it switches from both hearing aids, adjusting a mode or a volume. It will automatically switch to separate hearing aids. So, I have to go in and click a little button, and adjust both at one time as opposed to one or the other. It took some getting used to the hearing aids, but they're comfortable. They're unnoticeable for the most part. It has replaceable battery and every Friday they get replaced. Otherwise, if I don't change it Friday midday, I'm gonna get a low battery indicator in my ear. It took about two weeks to figure out.

    The Lucid technicians are awesome. They put me in the quiet room, put the headphones on me and ran their hearing tests. I got the most expensive hearing aids they had but I've since returned them 'cause I kept having issues with them. They're supposed to connect your phone's bluetooth and when they worked, they worked. I own my business and take 75 to 100 phone calls a day. But when the phone would pick up, one or both would disconnect. Or while I was on the phone, they would flip flop between the two. They never worked like they were supposed to and I don't have time to deal with taking them down there once a week to get them fixed.

    I don't wear my hearing aids very often. I'm always on my phone and they don't work with Bluetooth. But the guy at the location was phenomenal. He reset them and they worked for a day. But then they quit working so they're in their case on my desk. Also, the cost is expensive for what it is and I did the two years interest-free financing and the company they use is horrible. Supposedly, somebody canceled my contract and started a new contract. Everything I had set up for autopay got canceled because it's on the contract I signed, not the one they put in it. It was a whole cluster fighting with them trying to pay them. The funny thing is they can't provide me a contract that I signed because they said they don't have it. They created a new one.

    The rep from Lucid was a professional. She was helpful, friendly and good at what she does. I was contemplating going for surgery but I decided to try out the hearing aid first. If it works good, then I'm probably going to drop the idea of surgery. But if not, I'll keep testing it anyway. I don't use an iPhone and my phone is not compatible with the hearing aid. However, I'm trying to get a phone that is compatible so I can also connect it. Sometimes, I hear properly in normal standards. But sometimes I am not able to hear properly. Probably it's just my ear is still trying to adjust. Whenever I increase the volume, my ear is going to adjust with the volume. Then after a while, the ability is going to drop back. Also, the hearing aid irritates my ear sometimes so I have to remove it.

    The price of the hearing aid is 5,000 and based on that, I expected it to work better than it does right now. I expected it should change my life finally but I still have some issues of being hard to hear people sometimes. The price is reasonable but if it's something that is a higher version that is working for me, then the money is good. Right now, it looks like it’s not worth it. Lucid is not the issue. It’s the model. Probably a higher one is going to be better than this one.

    The hearing aids work really well. The batteries I wish would last longer. Sometimes when I get on the app it will not connect no matter what I try so I have to change the settings manually on the hearing aids.     Lucid is expensive but it's more affordable than what's offered at my local audiologist's office. I also like the convenience of having them at Sam's Club. There's an app and they were able to work with different hearing scenarios like busy restaurants, windy conditions and live music. You could adjust the hearing aids around a little bit. It’s the easiest way to change the settings on the hearing aids. In busy restaurants, I am able to understand people in front of me versus having the background noise totally block out what I'm hearing. I like being able to use the noisy setting features to listen to the folks I'm talking to. I could also plug it in and a few hours will get it going again. It's easy to keep the charger plugged into the wall and put the hearing aids in them at night. I have recommended Lucid to a few people that don't have them that seem to have hearing issues.

    Bluetooth is unreliable. Streaming music often fails within 5 minutes. When receiving calls, the caller's voice breaks up. I have given up on using the hearing aids for streaming or taking calls which is a big part of the reason I purchased them. I have taken them back to Sam's Club and they have checked them out. They will work the next time I use them but then fail after 5-10 minutes.

    I'm having some digital glitches. It's not something you can predict when it's gonna happen. I have contacted Lucid and we've tried a couple of different things, but it doesn't seem to be working. One thing is it uses a very large amount of data on my phone. I was told that it wasn't gonna use any. The other thing is the bluetooth when you make a phone call. The phone call comes into both of my hearing aids. But my left hearing aid stopped receiving 50% of the phone calls. The rep had suggested that maybe I just needed to update the program on my cell phone, but that doesn't seem to make a difference ‘cause it just happened to me again yesterday. I guess when you get your hearing aids, you have to tell them if you have an Android or an Apple. I have an Apple. I like Teresa, the girl who's the sales rep, but we don't seem to be able to fix it at this point.

    Unfortunately I cannot address the hearing aids directly as I have not been able to make reasonable use of them. I purchased Lucid because the company's advertised the implements could be controlled via an Android app. Not so. The app is more than just clunky, it gets caught in endless loop. Want to change a setting while wearing them? You can't, not without removing them, opening them up, and restarting the entire procedure. In short, the app is less than useless. But wait... Today I have attempted to contact the company in order to return their product. At 12:40 I was placed in a "queue" for customer service, it's now 2:09 and guess what? In essence their customer service is no better than their app. Maybe worse. Avoid like the plague.

    When you're hard of hearing, it's very frustrating for those around you and it's frustrating for you yourself that sometimes you have to either guess what people are saying and answer in a very odd way because you did not guess correctly. A big one would be watching television with people where you need it to be so loud, which is uncomfortable for them and they complain about how loud you listen to TV. But once you get your hearing aids, you're able to listen to it at a much more normal volume and in that, my Lucid hearing aids make a big difference.

    When I first purchased from them, I stayed within the $1,500 to $2,000 range of hearing aids and I was not interested in any Bluetooth technology. The performance of the Lucid hearing aids that I ended up with when it comes to hearing people speak is totally acceptable. They do their job, though the adjustments on them aren't incrementally enough. When I can't hear something, I turn them up but I don't find that it makes much of a difference.

    So far, I've had two Lucid hearing aids and my first ones that I got six years ago performed much better than my current ones do. My current ones have a little bit bigger battery and they are Bluetooth capable. But they are full of screamy noises and squeaks. The first time I got on a plane, I did not bring earphones because I had my hearing aids that would connect to my phone. They were terrible at that and they did not do a good job at all. To the point that I flew from here to Hawaii and didn't even use my phone for that simple fact. So I do not use their Bluetooth capability whatsoever because it's so poor.

    I went into the Sam's Club on Brook Road in Wichita. I set up an appointment. I already had my hearing screening, so I just gave that to the rep and she was able to convert it and set me up with hearing aids the same day. She seemed knowledgeable and happy to help. And if I had problems, she was willing to get it fixed even though we went a little over on my appointment time. Once I adjusted to these Lucid hearing aids, I have been able to understand people at work a lot better. Also, the one that I'm using right now is the only way I would be able to take phone calls. I can do music too. This is handier. It occasionally disconnects on Bluetooth. But I just have to reset them and they would be fine.

    I got the hearing aid from Lucid where it goes in your ear then wraps around the back of your ear. Dennis did a good job in the hearing exam. He's been doing it for 40 years. The hearing aids work great. They're not uncomfortable. I can hear the TV without it being on 70. It's way different compared to not being able to hear. I can actually hear, so it's weird. It's not so weird now that I've had them for roughly six months. But at first, it was overwhelming with all the sounds, like the water softener, dishwasher and everything running. Because before, I couldn't hear any of those stuff. I'm very satisfied with Lucid.

    The guy took up a bunch of time with us, answered all our questions, and explained things. I did a 0% for a year when I got mine. The quality of the Lucid hearing aids is good. It's surprising when you hear something you never noticed before. However, whenever I pair the hearing aids to the phone to do a phone call, I gotta have the phone up to my mouth in order for it to pick up my voice. If I'm streaming music and drop it down on my left side, the right hearing aid will go out. It won't pick it up.

    I should've got the one that's chargeable but I didn't. When you figure out how long the rechargeable batteries last versus how much the regular batteries are, it comes out about the same. If your rechargeable battery lasts for three years, you'll spend the same amount of money in battery you change in and out. The only thing is, if it goes dead, you can just pop a new battery in it. To turn them off, I have to pull the battery door open. My mother's is a rechargeable and she just put them in the case and they automatically turn off. I'd rather have that feature.

    I have Lucid hearing aids that I got at Sam's Club and the comfort is great, although it almost sounds like they keep disconnecting from my phone and my phone seems to be the only way to adjust the volume because I can't do it with my fingers on the back of them.     I purchased a pair of behind the ear hearing aids on 09/06/2023 from Sherrie ** at the Venetucci Blvd. location in Colorado Springs. She retired and since then I have had no support from Lucid at all. There has been no one there and no one answers the phone. I have needed parts replaced and have not been able to do so. I am very disappointed in the lack of support after spending $2800.00 for the hearing aids.

    I have had issues with too much moisture in the ear canal so the hearing aids want to pop out of my ear, Dan the audiologist has been very helpful in trying to find a solution to my problem, we are now trying where the mounds are like fins so the moisture doesn't build up and push the aids out of the ear.

    The first 2 weeks were great, hearing things I had forgotten about then the issues started. Well I live 75 miles from Sherman and don't have time to run back every 2 weeks for some kind of update. I have gone back several times and they work for a week or so then Bluetooth stops working, or they turn off with battery still good or the battery goes low but it doesn't say so. When talking on the phone sound swaps frequently from one ear to the other. I was not informed that I would have to return every time I turned around so I am not happy. I wish I knew if other brands required frequent updates. I feel like I wasted the $1799. I finally quit wearing them. Waste of time and money.

    Our service when purchasing was excellent. Follow up and help has been very poor. Our closest Sam’s Club closed their hearing aid department and when we try to go elsewhere they are never available to assist us.     On phone calls my hearing aids don’t always stay connected to both ears. They switch back and forth between ears and both ears together. For a while the charger wasn’t indicating it was fully charged, but after a few days it seems to be working fine again. In big closed in buildings, church for me, I can’t find a setting that works for me. Especially during singing. I often remove my hearing aids during the singing. I’ve also tried turning the volume up to max, which seems to be better, but still not good. But all in all I am satisfied with my hearing aids. They seem to be doing a good job for me. They could just be better.

    I am happy that I have hearing aids but since my condition is a little bit unique, it's been very difficult learning how to use LucidShape. My hearing changes all the time since I got them. One thing that I would like is a little bit more instructions and information when it comes to using LucidShape. Their rep gave me the little booklet, but this is my very first time having hearing aids so it's not very easy for me to really comprehend. I wish it was easier to understand when it comes to navigating the app a little bit better. Also, the quality of the hearing aids is a little too good for me. With my hearing, I'm able to hear higher tones but I struggle with hearing lower tones. Sometimes they pick up on all the background noise more than it will the person that I'm talking to in front of me because it has 32 channels. It picks up a lot and it can be distracting.

    But other than those, I like the fact that I got the battery ones because it's easier. I don't have to wait for 24 hours until they charge, I could just put a new battery in and I'm okay. Also, their rep is great. If I need her to tweak my hearing aids, she'll tweak them and she gives me free batteries for the first year. She's just overall very sweet. Me and my wife go in there to kind of re-up on my batteries and she always double checks to make sure everything is good and that I don't have any problems. Overall, I've had a pretty decent experience.
