We ordered our living room furniture on Nov 2nd 2021. We were told to expect delivery by Super Bowl (Feb 7). Then it was middle of March. Then early April. The delay I guess we can understand but we were never kept informed as to the reason or length of the delay. We had to call repeatedly for updates. We were notified in early April that our sofa and recliner had arrived. Then the earliest delivery date was still two weeks out. We have taken delivery and are mildly pleased. I find the fit and finish of Kane’s Furniture is not what I would expect from a premium furniture store. Kane's customer service C-. Furniture quality B-.

Purchased before Christmas 2021. Delivery estimate to be February so we paid for that 1/2 of order in full. HA! Updating 1/2 the order to be delivered in March now April... but only the chairs. But table could come three days later. Am refusing table or chairs unless together. They threatened us we would lose pieces that is in stock. Ok hold until October when we were told the other table and chairs would be arriving. Department does not know of FIFO practices. I feel they are using our deposits to purchase other orders. In October 2021 I bought a lot of furniture in Sarasota Kane's Furniture. After the contract was signed I've been told the delivery will be in December - January. Ok, for three months we could sleep on the mattresses. But it was not just three months. At the end of March after my request they told me that the bedroom will be delivered in April and dining set in June. From October to June of the next year we are supposed to eat like horses, standing. That is the worst experience in my long life. Shame on them.

First, I bought a manual sofa/recliner thinking it was power...Exchanged without a problem. I paid upgrade for power. All this has been going on since 9/2021 until 3/2022. I feel fortunate. The delivery was fine except now my sofa has a big gap between middle cushion and the one on right side if facing sofa. I told delivery man (big time language barrier). He said it just needed fluffing up (which he did) and it immediately went back to split. I called the same day it was delivered and they are sending someone out to look at it. I don't see where they will be able to fix it.
I also found that this sofa does not seem to be as well made as the manual one. The cushions are not as firm when you sit down. I do love the way it goes back and lays down far. Great for taking naps. =) The massage and heat work great. Now then...on to customer service. I bought online talking to a rep in Sarasota (Joncina) who was and still is awesome working with me on resolving issues. When I talk to anyone is CS dept. they have always been very helpful. I cannot complain in this dept. Someone will be coming out next week to look at my sofa (took 5 wks to get them here). We will see what happens. I expect another return will be taking place. Hopefully - I won't be waiting a year like my sil is for hers. All in all - have no issues with Kane's in Sarasota fl.

After reading all of the bad reviews on Kane's Furniture, I guess one more doesn't really matter. If customers are going to continue to shop there, even though the service & quality is terrible, why write a review? I have shopped at Kane's over the last 20 years & will NEVER deal with them again! We went there after receiving a Black Friday offer to receive a $100 gift card if we made a purchase that evening, Nov.23rd. Stupid us, we did make the purchase with a promise of a $100 gift card to be e-mailed to us! LIE!!! So here we are 3 months and 20 phone calls later, they will not honor the $100 gift card. WTF? How do stores stay in business like this???? Please do yourself a favor & DO NOT SHOP KANE'S!!!!

The experience was horrible! To begin with, I would like to say that the quality of the furniture is not good. I bought some furniture in this company (Kanes Furniture) believing that it was one of the best, but I was wrong and I regretted it. The furniture was supposedly made of leather, and they began to peel in a horrible way, and not only did they peel, but also the sofa broke, because we pay (EXTRA) for guarantee, we called to have them replaced with others. To our surprise, the company (Kanes Furniture) supposedly sends a technician to see the furniture and decide whether to fix it or replace it, and guess what they decided, to replace them with several nails.
When I asked the technician (no ID that said he is ability or years experience), why they didn't give me a new sofa, he told me that it could be fixed, that the reason it broke is that when they make the furniture in the factory they just staple the furniture. I told him "So Kanes Furniture knows this and they don't explain before the customer buys them?", The technician did not answer my question, however he continued to tell me that he had to take photos. He took the photos, and I decided I didn't want that service and threw them away. I lost my money on the furniture and the warranty. I will not buy from Kane's Furniture ever again.

I purchased a bunk bed for my kids in July 2021 and was told it would be delivered Oct 5, 2021. I threw their old bed out a few days before Oct 5th then the day of I get an email that they don’t have all the materials so the new delivery would be December 2021 and would call me to schedule a delivery date. Well maybe tell me you didn’t have the bed yet more than the day of delivery date or else I wouldn’t have thrown the old bed out. Now I get an email that it is now extended to mid January. I looked on the website and they are still selling the same bed and at the same price I paid which was supposedly a 4th of July sale. Well they lied 'cause it is still the same price without a holiday sale! Maybe not sell the bed until you have all parts in stock. My poor kids are sleeping on mattresses on the floor. Wish I went somewhere else. Will tell everyone to buy somewhere else.

Purchased a sectional, 7 pieces, two motorized recliners, 6 years ago. Came with a warranty. All pieces look and feel brand new, except one. You cannot lay on that side due to it being 2" shorter than the others. Called to have it looked at under the warranty and received a call that it is not covered. Sinking they say is due to that seat is sat in more, well there are more than one person in this family and we all don't sit on that piece at the same time. Plus there is a massage chair that my husband sits in the most when he is home from work. Kane's furniture talks as good talk, but performance and support after the sale is extremely poor. I would recommend shopping elsewhere!

I ordered a power reclining loveseat from Kane's, St. Petersburg, FL location. 6 months later and within warranty, one of the seats had no power to it. It took them a month to have someone come out to inspect. Kane's called me a few days after this appointment to let them know they would need to see if they had the needed part in stock or if they would need to order it. A week went by and I did not hear back from anyone, so I called and was then told the part would need to be ordered and should arrive early October.
I called Oct 21 as again, did not hear from anyone and was told the part will not arrive now until Nov. I asked for a manager to call me back to discuss as they sold me a defective couch that I cannot use and the process to repair is taking entirely too long. It has been 3 weeks and no one, manager or otherwise has called me back and I have no idea if the part is in. The loveseat is very uncomfortable unless reclined and cannot be used. I understand the supply chain issues, however, their lack of any type of customer service is unacceptable. I will not shop there again.

WTF really I paid over $3,000 cash and yes paid in full upfront and can’t even get what I paid for yet they keep selling the products of floor but can’t deliver. Really kind of felt like I was robbed in broad daylight. Already at 7 months paid in full and can’t get what I paid for. So at January it will be 9 months. We bought a living room set, dining room set and a wall unit in 2015. We have had problems with the love seat not rocking right. They have come out a couple times but this last time they could not fix it. So they said they would give us a store credit for the love seat. I bought all this furniture around the color of the couch and loveseat because I love the color aqua. The problem is they do not have that set anymore and I decorated my great room around that color. They do not have anything near aqua and I do not want to settle on a color I do not want and does not match the rest of my furniture. So we have been trying at least 10 times to get a hold of someone so we could see what part was needed and we would see if we could get it fixed ourselves.
We have called corporate, the store and everyone says they will get back to us but never do. So we call again and again and again with no response. The repair man said the lifetime warranty is really only good for about seven years. So if you want good customer service do not go to Kane's. I did read other reviews and it's so true about the delivery date. They tell you one thing and then you go home and wait for a delivery. Your furniture never comes and you call and they say it is on backorder.

I am totally disgusted and will never go back there again!

I purchased from Kane’s for years and never had any problems with them until this year 2021 I took my son and spent $5000 and told them need for April. Then we called for delivery and not available until mid May and they don’t have half of it then refers different delivery company. We had no choice. Delivery company wanted $150 that is $30 more than what Kane’s changed. We still agreed and today delivery showed up. Drop everything at house with closed box and asked for $75 more to open them up. I am just disappointed with this type of behaviors from Kane’s furniture and think Kane’s should stand behind the delivery and pay up the difference. We still need them to deliver the remainder of our furniture so why we should pay extra fees and go through Hell. Thank you for reading and pay attention.

To make matters worse, I wont be around that date and so I'm forced to reschedule delivery now until the 18th. Almost 3 months after the date of my purchase. I bought a all leather recliner from Kane's in 2015. I was told repeatedly by the sales rep and subsequent cashiers that it came with a "Lifetime Guarantee." Now the inexpensive switch that drives the reclining function has died. Not damaged... just stopped working. Now I'm told that the chair is out of production and the switches design makes it impossible to replace or repair. BUT... the switch was never under lifetime warranty. Only the basic structure of the chair. So is a recliner living up to its warranty if it cannot be reclined. I found the follow-up crew to be rude, insensitive and unhelpful. Their excuses were well rehearsed and they refused to listen. That adds up to deception. Kanes cannot be trusted. Go elsewhere.

Got an outdoor couch delivery that included Sunbrella cushions. The couch was delivered with a plastic cover on the cushions but when I removed the plastic one of the cushions had a stain. Kane's sent someone out to clean the stain. His attempt was unsuccessful. Followed up with customer service and the technician had marked the service order as successfully completed. I spoke to a supervisor who said she would follow-up, and never heard from her. Called again and she was not available so I was told someone would follow-up - again, no one did. Called again and sent pictures from then and today - same stain - nothing has changed. Still no response on resolving this.
Frustrating as I spent $15k+ in a few short months with Kane's and I can't get a damn cushion that was delivered stained replaced. 1/2 my order is pending delivery as it was backordered. I informed them I will cancel if they can't figure out how to resolve this simple issue. Seems customer satisfaction post sale is not a priority for Kane's. Won't shop there again after this experience.

We bought a sofa 3 months ago from the store located at 5112 E. Colonial Dr. Orlando, FL. We never received the sofa of course, as they kept postponing the delivery dates over and over, so we decided to cancel the order and get the refund instead. It has been several weeks by now since the refund was approved by the manager and we still don't receive anything. We have called the store many times but it seems that they have no intentions on making sure the money is refunded. At this point we were told to open a dispute with the card institution that we used to purchase the sofa at the store. Please do a favor to yourself, don't waste your time and save the hassle of being involved in a tedious process of trying to collect your own money back if you decide to buy and cancel the order.

On September 9, 2020, I went into Kane's and found a Living Room and Dinning set. I was given a delivery date of October 8th or 9th for the dining set and the coffee and end tables for the living room set. The salesperson told me to expect the sofa and love seat around October 22nd. The 22nd came and went I heard nothing from Kanes. When I looked at my paperwork the salesperson didn't fill in a date but wrote "backorder." I called the customer service number 3 days in a row and never got anyone on the phone. Just an auto-repeat message to hold-on. Finally, I contacted the store and the person answering told me they didn't have a delivery date but it looked as if the loveseat was due in the week before Thanksgiving and the sofa the week after. Still, I heard nothing from Kanes.
I called the store again on November 24th. I spoke to the original salesperson and was told the furniture was scheduled for December 13th. She was supposed to call me back in 30 minutes regarding a dinette set but I have yet to hear from her or anyone from Kanes regarding this issue, the failure of their call center to pick-up calls, etc. She and the first person I spoke to simply state they are really busy and due to COVID19, it is difficult to fulfill orders. To add insult, the living room set is still being sold on their website but is showing a delivery date of February 21, 2021. I really liked this living room set which is why I have waited, but after reading complaints on the BBB website I am growing weary. I have the tables but may not be able to find a sofa at another store that matches.

Purchased a dining table set on 11/7 online through their website and was given no indication on the website that the set was on backorder. I was never contacted with delivery information, so after a week, I emailed and asked for an expected delivery date and was told 12/14 as the items were on backorder. Okay, no big deal, I know COVID is causing issues. Emailed today for an update, as I still hadn't heard anything, and am now being told our items are still on backorder until the end of December and we would not receive them until 01/09/2021.
I asked that my order be cancelled and have not heard anything back from the rep yet - still waiting. While I understand the COVID issues, there is absolutely no excuse for no communication from Kane's regarding back orders and information should be provided when an order is placed. If Kane's had communicated, I may not be as irritated, but the complete lack of communication when orders are pushed out or changed is completely inexcusable. Cancel my order.

But the warranty covers I guess, like the springs and the frame. I just want to let everybody know please do not buy Kane's warranty, better yet their furniture from them, as it's worth nothing. Go elsewhere and stay away from Kane's Clearwater store. Their salesmen push you to pick up your own furniture or pay for an outside service saying they are "behind." They should then hire more delivery people. There is no excuse for lying to a customer and saying an outside delivery service is approx. the same cost when that is a blatant lie. If you look online, any item $499 or more is free delivery. Did our salesperson tell us that? NO! He discounted it by $15 as a "courtesy" and then told me the outside delivery service would be $75. So he ripped me off of $60.
When I called the Clearwater store to complain I got some salesman named Zach who first said all of the managers were busy and could he know what it is about. When I told him, he told me he was a manager and could do nothing about the issue. I said, "You just told me the manager was busy; but now you are saying your the manager. When did you get a promotion that you are now the manager?" He then hung up on me! Management could not care less. Seriously frustrating. I will never buy from Kane's again. I will be very surprised if they even stay in business with such poor customer service. Go elsewhere! So a quick update: After I posted this review on Yelp, they responded saying I should contact communications@kanesfurniture.com so I did and basically it was a waste of time. They did nothing.

We want to share with each one of you, the experience we live when visiting the Kane's Furniture store located on Semoran Avenue in Casselberry. We went to this store, because after searching the internet, we understood that they had quality furniture at a good price. My wife and I wanted to buy a living room set, a dining room set, and a breakfast table. Upon arriving at the store, we were greeted at the entrance by a very cordial lady named Eileen **, this kind lady after asking us what we were interested in seeing, accompanied us for almost 2 hours through the store, to see different alternatives of the furniture that we wanted to acquire. The kindness shown by Mrs. ** allowed us to calmly evaluate the equipment. Mrs. ** gave us the space so that we could make the right decision, without trying to pressure our decision making. The professionalism shown by Ms. ** is one to admire, as any questions we had were fully answered.
As a customer I would like to be able to meet many more employees like Mrs. **, who was very cautious and helpful in the selection of the furniture we bought. If you are looking for quality furniture at a reasonable price, we invite you to stop by this store and see not only excellent alternatives, but also that you can receive an excellent quality service, just like the one we receive. Thanks to Mrs. ** and all the excellent store staff for their attentions.

Thanks for the great five Star review, Fernando! We're glad you had an amazing experience with Eileen at the Casselberry store! Enjoy your purchase!

I have been an avid Kane's customer having almost all of my home furniture through them. However, in a recent buy of a bedroom Queen bed, I was given wrong information that my bed would not need a box spring since it comes with the slacks and this is what I raised it to their customer department. The customer care lady named Pauline who heads the department in the Casselberry location is extremely rude and tried to cut me every time I spoke. Afterwhich, I told her that she cannot cut me off while talking and did not give me a resolution as to why I was given the wrong information but only kept saying that if I need a bed that doesn't need a box spring then I would have to take a different one with storage and pay more which I would had I been told by the salesman when I bought it.
Pauline even told me that I should not teach her how to do her job which is utterly disgrace because all I told her was that she had no right to cut me off while I was expressing my concerns and definitely being in customer care department she should have been qualified to handle customers but she is clearly not. Such a disgrace Pauline that you are employed by Kane's. I love Kanes furniture but would never ever go back to them and me not going back will definitely not make any difference to them but please have some courtesy for your customers. I am now waiting for their GM - Thomas Sheldon to call me.
Update: Thomas ** called me today and he is the most rude person that is employed by Kane’s. He admitted his mistake that we were given wrong information by the salesman but he gave us the only option to buy an upgraded bed and he would give us some discounts on it or give me $50. I told him that ethically this is not right and he should compensate for the wrong information and I as a customer should not be the one who should be penalized. Thomas ** started screaming when I was voicing my concern and he like his colleague Pauline started cutting me off. I don’t understand why the employees in the Casselberry location do not want to listen to their customers and only want to talk themselves. At last he hung up the phone, someone who boasts himself of being a GM is hanging up the phone on the customer. Never recommend Kane’s to anyone.

I received my tables but no furniture. I have made numerous calls for updates as Kanes apparently does not know how to make phone calls to inform customers status of their orders. Every time I call I am told different things. I called 2 weeks ago and was told my furniture would finally be in 2nd week of October, called yesterday and was told it would be November. Terri, we're very sorry about your experience. It has been a very challenging time in the industry due to major manufacturing and shipping delays as a result of COVID. We know it is very frustrating, and we are just as frustrated. Our deliveries are scheduled based on anticipated arrivals. When those dates are pushed/delayed, it unfortunately causes delays for our customers. We are working diligently on making improvements in the areas that we can affect. No one reached out to and when I called I was told my item was in backorder until the second week of November whereas nowhere on the website did it say so nor did I receive an email advising me as such. I was also told that they have to wait for the vendor to make 200 before getting it in their warehouse. They are basically selling fish that is still at sea. Not to mention that they claim they are aware of a glitch in their system yet the customers are not notified and the website is not updated with the correct information.
Please keep in mind that all this information was after multiple calls and holds that lasted over an hour each. Forget not that I was also hung up on several times and was given the runaround. I even asked to speak to their corporate offices and they were no good either. Their operator is rude and clueless and their management is mediocre. One of the managers Michelle ** is rude, unprofessional and a liar. We received the order and slept on the mattress for approximately a month and it was anything but plush. It was way too firm and did not feel anything like the one tried at the store. Called the store, they sent service to inspect the mattress and was told it was approved for a 1 time comfort exchange but had to go in the store for re-selection within 7 days. I explained I was asthmatic and was not comfortable coming to the store due to the Covid 19. Meanwhile, my boyfriend and I have not slept a solid night since we purchased it and have been having body pains due to the firmness of the mattress. I then called in for approximately 2 weeks trying to get a live person in regards to this issue. I had to work with different customer service reps due to no one getting back to me. We believed they accidently delivered the wrong mattress. One rep believed that as well but then they came back and said it was correct.
We then went back in the store on 7/10/20 and did a re-selection for a different plush pillowtop mattress. I initially requested a refund and for them to take their mattress back and they said that was not store policy and that we had to re-select and pay the difference if the mattress was higher,.The sales rep did not have much interest in helping us with this matter. We were told there would not be a delivery charge. They not only charged us a $49.99 delivery fee on top of having to pay more money out of pocket. We then had to wait till 7/28/20 to receive delivery of the new mattress. We slept on it the first night and it was more firm then the first mattress. My boyfriend could barely walk the next morning due to back pain. My back, shoulders, and legs were hurting.
I immediately called their corporate office on 7/29/20 for a manager to having to explain everything to the customer service for them to tell me I would receive a call within 1 hour from a manager. I requested a notation to have a call back by end of business day. Never received a call back so I called again 7/30/20 to do it all over again with a different customer service rep. No call back from manager again.
I called again on 7/31/20 to finally speak to a manager who said she would see what she could do and would call me on 8/3/20. She called me this morning to tell me she reached out to the store and they will not do anything because we already used our 1 time comfort exchange. She stated she called the manufacture and they do not do anything unless it has a defect. Comfort is not covered. She said she will check back with us in 60 days to see if it gets any better but won't be able to do anything. So now we are stuck with a mattress we have slept on once. It is so uncomfortable that we can't even sleep on it. Apparently, their selection of mattresses is poor quality for high dollar. We are now stuck with a mattress and a bill of $3073.74 and can't sleep on it. Kane's does not care if their customer's are satisfied. I do not recommend buying from them.

That was fine but it was a complete lie. Every month, they have said "it'll be delivered the first of the month." Then they say "the middle of the month", and here we are in August with no sofa. They have taken our money and have refused to cancel the order and refund our money. They are garbage, don't purchase from them.

I bought a modular couch in early March 2020. I bought that particular couch because it was in stock and could be delivered before I went back to Minnesota. Upon delivery, I was informed that my end piece was on back order. A few weeks later, when I was back in Minnesota, they called to tell me to pick up my end piece. COVID was in full swing and I told them I would get back ASAP. I received a call from a sales associate in early April asking if I still wanted my section. I said “of course, it’s paid for and I have a partial couch in my living room.” It was clear to me that he wanted to sell my couch.
I received a call from a lady named Dallas sometime in later April telling me they were offering free delivery due to COVID. I told her I would be down there sometime in May and would call to schedule delivery when I had my plane ticket. When I called to schedule delivery, I was informed they sold my section to someone else. I own it. They had no right to sell it. Also, I was told it was discontinued.
I flew down there to go in to Kane’s since the communication stopped. They don’t return calls or even answer most of the time. When I got there, they said they would look for another piece and would get back to me. They tried to sweet talk me out the store as fast as possible. It’s been two months and I haven’t heard back from them at all. This is the worst customer service!!!! I do not want a partial couch! They sold the same piece twice. They have not offered compensation and have completely ignored me. Horrible, horrible experience to say the least! If they don’t rectify this, I will be filing a claim! This is just plain bad business! Beware!

Oddly enough, he managed to find 3 more items. Still waiting on the rest. Customer service is awful. Pretty pathetic. Would never go there again.

We were having a condo remodeled and purchased a bedroom set and mattress from Kane's Furniture in January, our contractor did not finish until June. We took delivery on 16 June 2020, however they failed to deliver the nightstands, when I called the store we were advised nightstands were discontinued and we would not be getting them, the manager said we could pick out another bedroom set, I explained to her that if we had been told this we would have canceled the order she said she understood and the salesperson was told to call us but forgot, we tried to find another set through Kane's, but everything we chose they did not have in stock.
They refused to take the mattress back even though no one had slept on it. The furniture was purchased on sale but because they did not have the furniture we had to pay full price for the mattress no discount of any kind. We are new to Florida and were not familiar with Kane's Furniture. That being said my experience with this company has not been a good one, I will not shop there ever again.

Kane's does not stand behind product and accepts no responsibility. Very, very poor customer service. 0 stars if possible. 1 star very generous.

Hi my name is Rolando. Last month on January 2020 I purchased a set of furniture for my living room. After almost one month of waiting they finally agree on delivering the couches and the 3 Tables. I remember it was a Friday and I asked for the day off at my job. They never show up that Friday. I called the sales person Brad and he says nobody was aware of that delivery like I was making it up. Finally we agree on Tuesday 02/11/2020, so I ask for another day off at my job. They did show up that Tuesday, however they brought only one out of five pieces correct. All three tables were wrong. Also the bigger sofa not only is broken it was not electric with USB on each side. They sold me one thing and brought another thing. My kids, wife and my self are very upset.
The good news is that we took videos and pictures of what we was purchasing. After refusing to receive the tables and the bigger couch the delivery guys called warehouse manager and He told the guys to leave the bigger couch temporarily until we receive the correct one. Three days later I was still not hearing anything from anyone at all so I Reached out to Kane’s. After about 10 minutes of waiting I was able to speak to the manager, which told me to send him pictures of the right product so he can correct the order as soon as I got home. I sent him the pictures from my cellphone to his cellphone. Wish I save all the conversation texts for my records. This was on Friday 02/14/2020. Tuesday 02/18/2020 I text the manager again but no answer.
After that I call the store and spoke to someone but no answers to my questions, I requested them to have the manager to call me and he did call me couple hours later. They admitted their mistake, however he was only able to offer me to return the couches and few days after they will reimbursed my money. Wish I didn’t take because I don’t have my original couches anymore, so that would’ve left me with no furniture in my house for a few days/weeks. I have 4 kids. Second opinion was for me to pay more money in order to have the electric couch with sub, Just because their sales person made the mistake. I also say no to it because I shouldn’t have to pay for someone else’s mistakes.
Now I’m dealing with BBB see if they can help me with this situation but I think I’m going to have them take the couches back. However it’s gonna take a few days before I get my money back so I’ll be left with no couches for a couple weeks. Don’t ever buy anything from the furniture. However it’s going to take a few days before I get my money back so I’ll be left with no couches for a couple weeks. Don’t ever buy anything from Kane’s. The only reason I’m given a one star is because you can’t do zero star. I make sure I tell everybody about the bad experience from day one.

In March of 2014 we wanted to fully furnish our new home. We went to Kane's and bought furniture for our 5 bedroom home. The couch we purchased started to fall apart, so we decided to go get a new couch. We went back to Kane's ,was greeted by a saleswoman and asked how she could help. We told her we were wanting to replace our living room furniture. She asked about what we had in mind, we stated we currently had a cloth couch and wanted to get leather for easier maintenance and cleanup.
We were brought to a few different styles in which we choose the Transformer in Off White. She sold us on the warranty, which we were told was a leather conditioner. We sealed the deal, $3500.00 later our furniture was delivered with no issues. 1 year after delivery, we started to notice cracks that turned into peeling on the sofa. We contacted Kane's who advise we call the warranty company. I called and spoke to a gentleman who said the warranty doesn't cover peeling on fabric. I stated, it wasn't fabric, but was weather couch and we were told the leather warranty covered tips, tears, punctures and so on. He stated again, this is not leather, but fabric.
I was upset and argued with him, because that's what we were told when we purchased the sofa and loveseat. After doing some searching, we found out the set we purchased was a polyurethane material and not leather. Needless to say, we were very upset. We brought it to the attention of the manager at Kane's who basically said, "Sorry, nothing I can do she doesn't even work here anymore." We now have a ugly, peeling couch. Luckily the loveseat is fine. I saw there was a class action lawsuit against Kane's, but unfortunately the time to.file ended in December 2016 and we purchased in March of 2017 though we were not included in this lawsuit.
Fast forward to now Jan 2020. I'm upset looking at this ugly couch and put a review on Google and Facebook about my experience at Kane's. I get a message asking me for my order number and contact information. I send it to them via private message on Facebook. We had decided to get a new couch as I can't stand looking at this one anymore. We are 10000000% on getting a real leather couch. We walk into Kane's, greeted and asked how he may help. We said we want a leather couch. The salesman brought us to a few sets of what appeared to be leather. This time we are more the wiser. We check the tag and sure enough, it's not leather but polyurethane again. We told the man we specifically said we wanted actual leather. He got.upset and walked away.
My husband went up to.the customer service counter and spoke with the manager "Chris." She apologized and sent another young man over who showed us the actual real leather options. We picked a couch, made the purchase and thanked them. It didn't sit right with me how we were lead again to fake leather couch and I told my husband I wanted.to return the couch and try another company as I now don't trust Kane's to protect their customers. We did the return the following day. I received a phone call from a manager "Michelle." She asked me what had happened with our whole Kane's ex6. I proceeded to tell her what had happened that I wrote above.
She then proceeded to tell me well you did purchase fabric warranty. I stated to her on the invoice we received it doesn't clearly state fabric warranty, it had a code and a charge and we as the customer don't know what their codes mean and wouldn't know that was for fabric and not leather. She asked if we still had the bottles from.the leather kit that was given to us. I stated, "No, once it was cracking and peeling, why would I bother wiping it to keep it conditioned?" She said, "Well I don't know what to tell you," and she didn't believe me. I told her that was fine, I wasn't trying to deal with this anymore which is why I didn't pursue it any further back in 2018 when I first complained.
She then said using the so called leather conditioner the sales lady gave us may have caused the peeling and I told her that doesn't make sense because the loveseat is still fine and it was used.on that as well. She said she knows I'm lying and my story just escalated. I don't understand how that was it escalating, but like I said I was really over it already and moved on already. Now she's being downright disrespectful. She said I was a waste of time and I told her she did not need to go any further, I was done. She said some not kind things and hung up on me. Needless to say, I am done with Kane's for good.

Very Unhappy ex customers. On Jan 19, 2019 we purchased Land Sequoia 3 piece set from Kane's Furniture, that was delivered February 2, 2019. We were talked into taking the protection plan for this leather furniture (cost $254 dollars), by our salesman. He advise me to use leather protection kit to clean it at least once a year, with cleaner and leather conditioner. He also suggested I do armrest and head area that are typically possible trouble areas. I took his advice and did so late June because of a party we were hosting on Fourth of July. Then around Christmas time we planned to host a dessert party and decided to make this furniture look spruced up, and that is when we noticed the color of leather was coming off. This is 10 months after delivery of furniture.
We stop by Kane's Furniture in Ocala and talked to Karen ** (Operation Manager) in December and showed pictures to her and she scheduled a technician to come by on Dec 27, 2019. He inspected it, took pictures and asked my wife if anyone was on high blood pressure medications as this could cause the leather coming off. Kane's, a few week later called me (Michelle ** from corporate) and told me the manufacture will not cover it and Kane's 5-year protection will not either. I was informed to keep the other pieces of furniture in good shape. That I need to weekly wash the leather furniture with distilled water. Also, I need to wash my hand thoroughly each time I use this furniture. Especially never eat food in them. She offered to get names and phone numbers of furniture repair places that I would have to pay for. She gave me an option of buying from the manufacture replacement arm, and she would pay for labor.
I’m thinking, after buying what I thought was quality furniture ($3800 for a living room package) from what seemed to be a reputable store, they should at a minimum repair if not replace the chair. My concern now is the other pieces is not going to hold up. The salesman never asked us if we had any medical condition or advised us this was not suited for normal retirees. I consider my wife and myself as clean people that take care of things. My car has leather seats and is over 2 years old and gets used almost daily and looks like new. I’m no dummy but feel like they have taken advantage of us and want to share this to help other from getting into this mess, especially Land Sequoia 3 piece set from Kane's Furniture. A couple of days later they called us and said there was nothing wrong with the cushions and that the warranty had expired anyway. I was shocked.
I called back an hour later after trying to digest why we were told we had to wait until the day after the warranty expired to talk to customer service and now they were using that as the reason not to fix the issue. I told them I didn't think it was fair. The lady I spoke with said that she would talk to someone and see if there was something that could be done. She came back on the line and said that the person who could deal with the issue was on the phone but would call me as soon as they were through. 2 days later and still nothing from them. We purchased a leather sofa and loveseat on order # ** this past November that was delivered right before Thanksgiving. Prior to placing the order, we returned to the Kane's store in Sarasota twice to make sure the furniture was what we wanted. We explained to the sales representative that the leather on both the sofa and loveseat was too smooth, and as a result, we kept sliding down the furniture. The only reason we purchased the furniture is that the sale representative told us that the leather would soften up (and not be as smooth or slidy) over a week or two.
Needless to say, after three weeks, the leather on both pieces is still smooth, and we cannot sit on the furniture without sliding down on the cushions. We were told that Kane's does not offer returns even though we talked to the sales representative within days of the furniture delivery. All we want is to replace the furniture, not necessarily get a cash refund. Please ask Customer Service Manager to contact me to discuss this matter.

I was purchasing new furniture for a Florida condo I own which needs new furnishings. However, within 48 hours Kane's sent me an email cancelling the entire furniture order. No explanation was given and no logical reason was provided. My credit card issuer had the pending purchase listed as approved. Why the cancellation? I called Kane's toll free customer service number numerous times. They couldn't help.
I sent emails and called a local store in Naples, where a sales associate gave me a direct phone number to call online website purchases. He said the Tampa location took care of online purchases, so call Tampa, he could not help me. That Tampa number went straight to voicemail. I tried calling multiple times over the next few days. Days later I have yet to know why the furniture order was cancelled. What an unprofessional, disorganized, miserable business organization this is, with horrible customer service. About a year and a half ago my wife and I purchased, amongst other items, a couch and loveseat from Kane's on U.S. i9 in St. Petersburg, Florida. Both items were red and covered in faux leather. Having noticed some similar items, while shopping in other stores, with the plastic peeling off we asked the salesman Richard and he said we would have no problems as this material was vinyl. Six months ago we noticed that the peeling had started in a no-wear area on the couch. Some weeks ago we returned to the store and spoke to the manageress named Michelle **; she said they had never heard of the problem but to photograph the problem and she would approach management in this matter. I told her Richard had assured us this would not happen and in a huff she said he did not know what he was talking about as the material was something like polythene and not vinyl.
After not calling us back we were told she had been moved to head office on 70th. Avenue. Contacting her she said to photograph the damage and send it to her and she would approach management. Guess what? She still will not call us back and nothing has been done. We demand a complete refund including the extortionate delivery charges. Kane's knows all about the peeling as they were involved in a class action lawsuit over the same problem some years ago. Obviously, they knew about the problem before we bought it. I think we were guinea pigs and that is why the computer has our material registered and they were testing the market at our expense.

A repairman came out twice. They say only once and said he said it's ok. LIE. He came with more filler and attempted to repair it, it was uncomfortable reclined. I called within 7 days to complain to return the chair, state statute says they must return it. Manager of store yelled across the store as I was leaving. We have this happen a lot and we always win hahaha. After 2 months of threats they returned it but didn't refund the $120 delivery and return charges, so $120 not to have a chair. I called numerous times and received no response. Two months later, I received one new arm in the mail with no screws. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced in over 50 years. Do not purchase anything from Kane's you will regret it!!!

Won't be buying anything from here again. Just dealt with a horrific customer service experience including lies and an inability to make it right because "it's against our policy." We ordered a dining room table set on July 20th. Our delivery date was August 1. The delivery guys arrived on August 1 without one of the dining chairs. They explained that they were in such a rush to load their truck that they missed the chair and apologized. We had a birthday party in just 2 days and were counting on this new dining room space to account for the people coming, so we called Kane's to see if they could remedy their error within the next 2 days. They could not. They also refused to allow us to pick up the chair, but more on that soon.
They rescheduled the chair delivery for August 8. August 8 came and went, and no chair arrived. I called today on August 12, explained everything, and asked when the chair would be delivered and how this situation would be remedied, hopefully in the form a refund of the chair. That is a reasonable solution in my opinion. The woman on the other end proceeded to say that the chair was back ordered, but it was in stock now. News to us since that's not what we were told – and the person who refused to allow us to pick up the chair must have known that but didn't tell us! The earliest the chair could be delivered is August 22!! Over a week from now – and the chair is sitting there at the warehouse, ready to be delivered today! This is astonishing to me.
I asked for a manager to call, and he did, and he proceeded to explain that refunds of any kind are "against the policy," but he's try to deliver the chair in the next week. He also wouldn't let us pick up the chair. I'm astonished that one little chair poses such a problem for the customer service here. They are literally losing a customer over a single chair. It's incredible, but it's unacceptable how they treated us, from lying about the back order to waiting to deliver the chair for over a month from purchase date. This is the kind of company I do NOT want to support, so I had to type out this long ordeal so that others know who you are dealing with when you purchase from Kane's.

Ok and thank you.

Hello, I purchased a loveseat and sofa from Kanes approximately 2 years ago. We purchased the FULL 7 year extended warranty. The top two headrests on each piece started to wear and the color disappeared leaving a beige couch RED. The leather turned red on the headrest. When approached their warranty company and of course they said it wasn't covered. Then the customer service rep from Kane's Michelle called and said that it was because of oils built up over time that weren't cleaned off....This is the very definition of a bodily fluid stain. They claim it is not. Kanes offered to ship up covers to the tune of $150 and they would put them on....REALLY?? I told her no, she should pay for the $150 but refused. We spent $4000 in the store. VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE and POOR PRODUCT.

When I bought a leather living room set from Kane's Store in Lakeland, I specifically told the salesman I did not like rocker recliners. I wanted a manual recliner because I knew it might be expensive to replace a power motor if it went bad. When the furniture was delivered, I had to leave on vacation. When I returned I noticed that the manual recliner was a rocker. It was labeled as a glider and I guess Kane's considers that a rocker also.
I called to tell them I did not want that chair because it rocked and they said I could upgrade for $203 more for a power chair that did not rock. I asked them to maybe split the difference because I was lied to about that chair. They said they were not going to charge for restocking or delivery of a new chair, so that was the break I was getting. I complained to their customer complaint department which was a complete waste of time. I will not buy from Kane's ever again, especially after reading and seeing pictures of furniture previously posted on this website.

I contacted the store and and a very RUDE manager name Malinda ** because she refused to give me her last name told me that it was not covered by my warranty because it was normal wear from using the recliners. I have only had this furniture 7 months and if it is falling apart after 7 months it was garbage to start with. They had no problem taking my money. They should have no problem replacing the defective furniture with new stuff. All I want is what I paid for so now I am going to see a lawyer and now they will end up paying out more than it would be to just replace the recliner.

We purchased a leather sectional from Kane’s around five years ago, this was replaced after a number of months, as the leather peeled, and the seats collapsed. We made many calls and eventually the Regional Manager contacted us, and agreed to give a store credit for the amount we paid for the purchase. We chose a love seat and a sofa, and paid the extra amount for the new furniture. Four years on, this furniture is now peeling, the seat cushions have now sunk, and the power recliner mechanism has now collapsed.
Kane’s sent technicians over to inspect the furniture, they were rude and would not listen to our concerns. We reported back to our local Kane’s furniture, on how we were treated. Kane’s called us three weeks later informing us that they will replace the mechanism, and once the part was delivered they will make an appointment to come and fit the part, nothing was to done with the peeling leather, and cushions. We were call on Friday 26th July by our local store, and was informed that the vender had assessed the pictures take by the technicians and declared it as wear and tear, and it is our responsibility to cover the cost of the repair. We explained that this is not wear and tear, as we have had the furniture checked by an outside source. We are very disappointed to say the least, and would not recommend anyone to purchase from Kane’s Furniture.

Hello Jeffrey, I've sent your information to our corporate review staff and we should be in contact with you shortly.

My family liked Kane's products but unfortunately we will NEVER be returning again. We purchased a cocktail table, sofa table, side table, end table and 2 bar stools. We were told our pickup date was the following Tuesday 7-2-2019. My wife and I gave away our old furniture and made room for the new, and invited friends and family to come over on the 4th of July which is Thursday 7-4-2019. It’s now Tuesday 7-2-2019 and my wife took the day off work without pay to come with me to pick up the furniture and set everything up at home. We drive a good 35 minutes to Kane's just to be told "WE DON'T HAVE YOUR FURNITURE, LOOKS LIKE WE FORGOT TO SCHEDULE IT FOR ORDER". They got "The Manager" and he looked at the computer screen and said "WE DIDN'T PUT it on schedule". We asked him why? He replied "I'm not too sure".
We asked him when the soonest we could get it and he replied "Well, it can't be the next delivery truck because it is already FULL". My wife at this point is having a nervous breakdown. He then asked for our paperwork and went into his office. He came back out a few minutes later and said he could have it delivered on Saturday. We said what time? He replied with "WELL I'm not entirely sure it will be delivered on Saturday, but we can try." Then he followed up with "I MAY BE ABLE TO GET YOU A $100 COUPON, THIS IS A MAYBE THOUGH BECAUSE IT WOULD BE FROM A PREVIOUS CUSTOMER who did not redeem their rebate". So, in other words he might get it delivered and might give us a $100 coupon that is actually another paying customer's coupon.
We told him we would be more than happy to just take the used floor model and they can use our brand new set when it comes in. He then replied "NO, I CANNOT GIVE YOU THE FLOOR MODEL, 4TH OF JULY IS COMING UP AND WE NEED THAT TO SHOW CUSTOMERS". Wow, they messed up our order, gave uncertain new delivery dates, offered us other people's coupons and then practically told us that they need to use the furniture for 4th of July and didn't care about our 4th of July. We were disgusted at this point and walked away. I called the corporate office and spoke to a very nice gentleman. I told him the story and he agreed this situation was not handled correctly by the manager and does not see why we could not take the floor model in this case. He gave a note to his higher up and said that I would receive a call shortly and in the meantime he was going to call this local store.
After about 45 minutes of waiting in the hot parking lot with no return call, I called them back. They said corporate has been closed for over an hour and they are just the call service center. I had the phone call redirected to the 1st person I spoke to on the phone. He apologized for the inconvenience and said that when he called the local store and spoke with the manager, the manager also told him he is "NOT CAVING IN" and that he is not willing to do anything except get the furniture on schedule for a later date.
Needless to say after calling off work, driving 35 minutes, being told they forgot to schedule or furniture, being told "maybe dates", being offered other peoples coupons, offered new uncertain delivery dates and more we decided to cancel the entire order in which was over $1,100. Not to mention I pulled out Kane's line of credit to make the original purchase which naturally lowered my credit score. So now we get to spend 4th of July with family and friends and no living room furniture. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

After moving to Central Florida in 2013 we were looking for a replacement for my Living room furniture and we found Kane's. We purchased the perfect “leather” sofa and love seat and placed it in our little used living room. We were thrilled to know there was a lifetime warranty on it. In 2017 we bought another love seat and sofa for our family room. It got lots of use but after a while we had a problem with the bonded leather peeling. We were disappointed but Kane's gave us a credit toward new furniture, not the same caliber of what we had, but what we could afford. We switched the new sofa and loveseat with sofa with the first one we bought in 2013 to spare it the every day use.
Here is our disappointment... the furniture that was hardly ever used was peeling! I notified Kane's and sent them pictures and was told they would notify me in 3-4 weeks. That was April 2018 and I was completely brushed off and never contacted! Shame on you Kane's! You say you have a lifetime warranty but change your rules when it suits you. Buyer beware!

Hello Maryann, our team should have contacted you on your issue. Please let us know if you need anything else and have a wonderful day.

I called to see what could be done and I was YELLED at, Threatened with more deliver fees if I changed and if I changed, it would be a different day AT THE SAME TIME. WOW!!! BUYER BEWARE.
If I had known I would be treated so horribly after giving them my business, I'd go to ASHLEY'S or HAVERTYS or HUDSON or BABCOCK.. plenty of other choices, rather than to be inconvenienced and THREATENED with cancellation and fees because you didn't want a 7:30 am delivery. Because workmanship is guaranteed for 1 year, I would assume that Kane's would repair this issue. Our furniture will well cared for, and it is disappointing that it is already coming apart. Even more disappointing is that Kane's will not take responsibility for repairing a clear workmanship issue. I have forwarded our dispute to their corporate department, however we will not purchase from them again. When I purchase something, I want to know that it is well made and that if there is a defect I will not have to waste tons of my time getting it fixed. When the “Leather” started flaking off to reveal an off white material underneath, I called to talk to them about the warranty. The first thing they said was that they saw that I didn’t buy the “leather” kit with the couch. And because I didn’t hydrate the couch, that is the reason it was flaking. That is ridiculous! All of my furniture is leather, and I already had leather kits at the house which I use meticulously. I’ve never had real leather flake off this way. Clearly this is a faux leather couch.

In August 2018 I purchased 2 Chaise Lounge chairs and a desk from Kane's. The two chairs were identical and we placed them side by side and my boyfriend and I used them periodically at the same time. Within 3 months one of the seams in one of the chairs started to split and actually began to crumble and disintegrate. The rest of the chair and the other exact same chair had no problem - it was just this one seam on the one chair. I called Kane's in December and they sent someone out to look at it. Their response? That this was "natural wear and tear" and they wouldn't do anything about it. How in the world can a brand new chair split and crumble in only 1 seam when the rest of the chair and the other identical chair had no damage??? Yet Kane's would not bend on their stance even when I spoke with a Manager.
The chair continues to get worse and I now have to put a towel on it to use it. The chair was not very expensive and they could have easily replaced it but they would not do anything at all except to reiterate "normal wear and tear". They don't expect their chairs to last more than 3 months? Ridiculous! I've shopped at Kane's off and on for more than 20 years but I will never go there again and I would warn everyone else not to either. They lost a long standing customer and damaged their reputation over a couple hundred bucks.

I see other complaint for same thing as we are experiencing. Paid extra for warranty on leather and of course it comes with Kane’s warranty. “Kane's Furniture comes with a free lifetime guarantee. You may not keep your furniture for life, but it's nice to know you could.”
So I called and get a woman by the name of Shauna, no last name and she after explaining problem simply says, "It’s not covered." After a lengthy discussion and after numerous attempts to get her last name I ask for a supervisor, who I am told is Q, and after asking for her last name I am again told no reason to have it. Anyway after another lengthy discussion, I got them to schedule to send a representative. All the while they keep saying it’s not covered. There is a definite problem with material and workmanship that it just starts falling apart. From having read other complaints for same issue Kane’s need to stand behind their product. So am waiting to see what they will do, however after this initial call I am very concerned. Gave them 2 stars at this time because of how they refuse to even come out and look, and the stance of not covered. imagejpeg_0.jpg, imagejpeg_1.jpg, imagejpeg_2.jpg.

Purchased a bedroom suite and had it delivered around the end of September 2018. We had only recently moved into this house and the lighting was not great in the room. Still, my wife gave it a cursory look and all seemed OK. Toward the end of the year we noticed a crack in the headboard after improving the room lighting. There was some sort of black residue over the crack and around it. It was obviously an attempt to cover up the crack. Probably why we did not see it sooner under dimmer light. Called Kane's and someone came to look at it.
Again, I was at work and my wife dealt with the Kane's rep. He told her, in a not very courteous way I might add, that it was our fault for not finding it sooner and there was no evidence of anything to conceal the crack. He said he would submit it but it would likely be denied, which it was. I guess they figured if we saw it right away they would apologize and make good. But if not, they would get away with pawning off damaged goods. We were scammed, and not treated very nicely in the process.

Hello Scott, we spoke to Mrs. Valone and hopefully we have everything resolved. If there is something left unresolved please contact John again at our Melbourne location. Thank you

Purchased leather sectional in 2014. The current HYPE was that if you buy your furniture from Kane's that they would take care of it for life. We made the mistake of buying the leather warranty. Neither of these guarantees were of great value. To be fair, Kane's did come out and replace one piece they could not repair. The bad news is that the furniture is such low quality that the cushioning doesn't hold up. We have constant issues with the motors that adjust the chairs. The headrest broke in half (they fixed that).
Now the leather is cracking and coming off. That is not covered by the leather warranty. This is a buyer beware. We did not read closely enough the Kane lifetime guarantee...our fault. We did not read the leather guarantee closely...very limited coverage...our fault. Finally, I would like to say that the repairman who comes to your home is a saint. He does the most with the least. Kane's Furniture claims they sell high-quality furniture but they don't. It's low quality junk from China... We have been dealing with a rocker recliner mechanism for 2 years. They just ordered the third mechanism. The second one lasted about 15 minutes. We have waited approximately 6 months for both mechanisms to arrive from China. When purchased originally the salesperson told us that if we had any issues that our product would be replaced but that is not the case. Upper management doesn't seem to care of the quality of their product, only if their people are professional and treat you with respect.
I can say the service people resemble that remark whereas the sales people we have encountered are in my opinion liars and the manager of the store fits that category as well, we are referring to the store on 34th Street. We have spent $10,000 with Kane's, we would have been better off going to say, odd lots. I'm surprised at Kane's Furniture is still in business, the customer service people that I have spoke to are on the defense at all times probably from all the complaints that they get about their subpar furniture. I guess as long as upper management is collecting their paycheck that is all that matters.

We were also told that should there ever be a problem there was a lifetime warranty. In less than 3 years the fabric started falling apart. It is just my husband and I, no pets, no children and we are senior citizens who are not home several months out of the year. I have spoken to several different people in customer service and they all say it is just normal wear and tear and they don't cover that. So don't buy from Kane's because they only expect their products to last around 3 years no matter what they tell you. I will never buy from them again and neither should you.

We are down to 2 handles left and we called to new ones again. They refused, we pleaded with them and explain that these handles were too weak for the drawers. They again refused. I finally received a call and was told to come back in and pick another me couch, we looked around but everything else was hundreds of dollars more than my budget allowed, so they offered a partial refund after we fought with them, at this point we had no choice but to keep it because we threw out our previous couch.
Recently I noticed the stitching came out of the couch and the stuffing was all over, I contacted the store again and was advised that since we had taken the little money they offered us the couch was as is even though this is a separate issue. 2/23/18 terrible experience! Ordered a king bed-on sale. Put on order-no delivery, completed order online. Next went through sales office to complete. Initially 3 days for order, then saleswoman called saying "Why not deliver?" Recommended their delivery and lower cost than factory as local movers they used. I said ok after being called twice about same subject. Delivery scheduled. Next delivery person called saying he could not deliver as not fitting in his truck! He said had to be *un*boxed! I said no way! Called Kane's about such poor service and delivery issues. Turns out delivery person worked for Kane's in their warehouse, -not a insured delivery person, and questionable as to why this happened! Kane's fired (so they said) this person and then I was threatened by Kane's delivery person that I had him fired! He and his wife called with threats as to me paying for his firing!
Kane's did nothing in compensation to me for such activity and hardly a apology from store manager! Even later discovering delivery guy being mad had tampered with my purchase making it impossible for assembly- parts missing! Store manager when also told of assembly issue- as I had to purchase items-screws etc. Said-- "I will pay you for screws but not for a handyman I had hired at $20.00/hour as I had lost his hourly fee as no way to assemble and handyman had to leave and then come back! Poor customer concern! Manager also said-- "Call the law if you need to." And he would report call to corporate. Well, I was afraid and still on edge over threats this Kane's employee and his wife has caused me!
This was a conflict of interest. Delivery person working in warehouse and apparently an ongoing situation with Port Charlotte, FL. Kane's in knowing and letting such practices go on till this issue came to light to corporate! Sheriff report was made! Such treatment of a customer! Looking at this bed purchase and the anguish it caused -two days later I said enough! Get this $700.00 purchase out of my house! I put it on Craigslist, sold this bed at a $100.00 plus loss! Never again shop at Kane's, Port Charlotte, Florida, or any Kane's, as they have no care for customer issues or putting a customer in harm's way!

I drove to the store and made a service request that would take several weeks for a repairman to come out.
The repairman arrived with no tools and flipped the loveseat upside down and began to push his weight against the lower section back and forth. I thought he might break the frame. He said the frame was warped or bent and wrote some notes and took pictures! I asked for a copy of his paperwork and was told company policy does allow him to give copies!! Within 6 months of use we were sitting on springs, therefore we filled a complain, which by the way took almost one year calling them every single day until I had enough of it and contacted BBB. That's when corporate finally reached out. A tech was sent to the house, the sectional was evaluated and we were given store credit. Therefore we went to the store, new sectional selected, a cheaper sectional by the way (we supposedly left about $489 store credit on check out). Well later on we went back to use the store credit and found out that one piece was not charged to the bill at the moment of checkout and added later without our signature or agreement. That brought our store credit to $27.
It doesn't end here: once again the new furniture seams were ripping apart, we are sitting on springs again. Well that part of the recliner was one again replaced. Moral of history 3 years later 3 couches, we are sitting on springs and ripped seams not on warranty, which is fine because I will never again purchase another piece of furniture at Kane's. My household chores consist of two working adults, with our parents may be visiting on the weekends. Not much use has been given to it and is still in terrible shape.

Rep came and looked at it fluffed up where it's broke down and took pics stating it's over a year old and now is used. So over $900 gets you a sofa for a little over a year. Take my advice and spend your money elsewhere where you can get more than a year for your sofa. Won't be back.

My boyfriend and I purchased approximately $10,000 worth of product from a sales person named Hind **, and based on fraudulent statements, we purchased $594.56 on a useless "lifetime warranty." The sales person's verbal claims were confirmed in print, via the store receipt we were provided that same day, which clearly reads "LIFETIME WARRANTY" in all capital letters. We do not have children, and our broken twin bed is located in a spare bedroom. It has only been used a handful of times since the 2006 purchase. Yet, the wood panel frame literally split when he sat on the mattress. This should NEVER happen to a properly constructed, gently-used, and properly stored bed.
Based on my phone conversations with a corporate manager by the name of Michelle ** and two Brandon store employees, we found ourselves in this disappointing and frustrating situation of being denied replacement/repair of our twin sleigh bed. The moment that the mattress, board supports, and wood side panel dropped to the floor, my boyfriend happened to be holding our cat in his arms. If our cat had instead been underneath the bed (as he often is), he very easily could have been crushed/killed -- not to mention the potential for serious injury to my boyfriend! Accordingly, this is a matter that should be taken very seriously. We are not talking about mere cosmetic issues. We believe Kane's sold us dangerous, low-quality furniture AND a misleading/fraudulent warranty. Nonetheless, to date, Kane's has refused to make things right.
We find this to be unacceptable business practices, especially considering the large amount of money we paid them. If the Brandon store employees (and receipt) had been truthful/straightforward with us back in 2006 and indicated the $594.56 would only cover 3 to 7 years of use, we never would have made the warranty purchase to begin with... because that is quite simply a poor value. It is NOT unreasonable for customers to believe a "LIFETIME WARRANTY" means just that... That their furniture will be covered the entire time they personally own the product.... Whether that be one year, three years, 10, or 20! If the warranty policy's "small print" limits coverage to a particular number years, not only should the Kane's sales people make this clear verbally, but that is also what your receipts should clearly reflect... as in, "7 YEAR WARRANTY" or "3 YEAR WARRANTY." Using the word "LIFETIME" is extremely deceptive.
It makes absolutely no sense that our receipt reads "3 YEAR WARRANTY" for the wood care warranty... while the general warranty line items read "LIFETIME WARRANTY", yet is apparently limited to 7 (or 3) years. Interestingly enough, I recently ran across a TBO article online, dated July 4, 2016. In it, Lisa Brock, a public relations specialist representing Kane's, indicated their company's warranty covers "furniture frames, springs, motion/sleeper mechanisms, cushions, structural integrity and hardware." So I am left scratching my head as to why is it that they have refused to cover our bed frame (and faded/snagged dining room furniture chairs). I also found it fascinating to read that due to multiple complaints from customers, Kane's sued Southern Motion for the faux leather issues, and recovered money from that lawsuit.
Even so, it seems Kane's has failed to use those funds to make things right with the customers who are now stuck with very poor quality furniture. I dare say this reflects a TREND OF IMMORAL CONDUCT. It is time for Kane's to accept responsibility for knowingly and willingly pulling the wool over customers' eyes in order to cheat them out of hard-earned money for services/products, then refusing to stand behind these purchases once a problem/need arises. Ms. Brock was further quoted as stating, "Our goal is and always has been, regardless of the warranty, to provide excellent customer service." Yet, here we are... hundreds upon hundreds of consumers posting complaints to this website because we have been swindled with fraudulent verbal statements/promises made by Kane's employee and extremely deceptive receipts, reading "LIFETIME WARRANTY". That is far from "excellent service".
I plan to hold peaceful protests in front of the Brandon store in order to warn others of Kane's repeat intentional fraudulent/misleading business practices. Even if my presence stops just ONE customer from entering their business, I am confident such effort will easily cost them more than the $594.56 refund I am due (while costing me less than $5 for the purchase of poster board). I encourage other of you who have been cheated by this company to stand up for your rights and consider holding your own peaceful protest at the location nearest you. We must hit these cons where it hurts to get their attention and put a halt to this nonsense. (Just be sure you remain in compliance with local laws... To include not blocking traffic, and remaining on public property/easement at all times. Do not step foot onto, nor part on their property while protesting).
Also warn your family/friends/coworkers, and encourage them to instead take their business to Rooms To Go, Hudson's, Haverty's, Highland Park, Ashley, American Signature, and/or Badcock. The Attorney General needs to investigate this company (again) SOON... to include interviewing prior employees in order to determine whether management instructed them to deliberately mislead potential customers. I will end this post by saying... Shame, shame on you, Kane's! I urge you to begin being transparent/honest in your dealings with the public... Simply do what's right... Say what you mean, and mean what you say! Your deceitful business practices will surely catch up with you eventually.

It did not happen, the next day I got the confirmation call, instead of my wife, in which I was told our delivery time would be between 1-4pm. Regardless of me being offered the option of am or pm delivery in which I did request A.M. I confirmed the 1-4 pm delivery. The morning of delivery, the delivery person calls my wife at 8 am telling her he's 30 minutes away without even confirming the address or contact name. Long story not short... it is now 7 pm. I bought a 5 piece couch set with the "Revolution Technology" fabric because we were told by the salesperson (Daniel) that it has a lifetime warranty that the material will not stain. We have a toddler so this was music to our ears. The couch was delivered to our new house on March 25th, 2017 and sat wrapped in a room untouched. We didn't move into our new house until late April. The couch gets very minimal use. Today is 6/30/2017 - 2 months later and the couch has stains on it that I can not remove with "simply a wet cloth" as I was told. I also discovered the stitching along the trim coming undone and it looks as if there is a defect in the weave at that particular section of the fabric. I do have a toddler that likes to put her feet/shoes on the couch when I'm not looking so there are brown marks on the couch in which I try to wipe off as soon as I see it.
The material just gets wet so it looks like it might of removed the stain but then when it dries.... stains are still there, in fact now you have the ring around the stain from the water (see pictures). It is a little bit hard to see in the pictures because it is a little bit washed out but indeed there are stains there and the couch looks dirty. I called customer service and NICELY explained my situation and asked how I go about making a warranty claim. I was basically told that they will come out to look at the defect in the fabric but regarding the stains I was SOL because I didn't buy the fabric protection plan??!! I was told that with the Revolution Technology fabric on the couch I didn't need to get the protection coating and that Revolution Technology has a lifetime warranty. The customer service rep told me that there is NO SUCH THING and she can not help me with that and just disregard the stain issue.
If you could only feel the blood rushing to my face when she repeatedly shut me down every time I tried to explain to her what we were sold on. Needless to say I was not very nice after this. We would of NEVER bought such a light color set with a toddler BUT we were told that this fabric will not stain anything or it would be covered by the warranty. We asked this over and over again while we were in the showroom. I asked the customer service rep to please check with a manager and have one call me because I felt as if I was ripped off and scammed. I am still waiting on a call... NEVER AGAIN will you get a penny of my money and you better believe I will fight this.

Just bought a sofa, loveseat, and leather chair. At store I commented on how happy I was to finally find a set that was comfortable and soft to sit in. When delivered it was extremely hard, not the kind of difference that wear would ever cause or fix--I mean so hard you almost were sitting above the armrests. I said, "I would take the demo units in trade for my new," but they claimed their truck driver no longer had liability insurance and I would be responsible to find a mover. Promises to call me back never happened when the first offer was they would try and find a truck.
Now I see from the other reviews that the leather is not good--for more than $3000 you would think they would be responsive to resolve. I offered to just return the chair--no it might be a different color, so only a total return was possible. Manager was sour grapes and I was the enemy. I have just contracted with a moving company to return the items and take the floor model they say is 3- years old. This likely is not over yet.

He'd let store know I expected a new piece since it was hardly used. Well manager called, said report stated it was from usage?? Then girl called and lied and said report said badly used. I said, "Let me see where it says that and swear it says that." She said no and hung up the phone on me.
Cheap furniture and now they hire people to lie and deceit their customers. It's one thing to not back up your product, but when you get into lying about what's written on a report you must really need your job to give up your morals and lie for them. Wow Kane's you have a dedicated employee here that will swear on their kids' lives that what was written in the report was true, when the other employee read word for word and it never stated badly used. It just said usage.
Next step I suppose she'll start the forgery of the report to change the words to benefit the company. I hope her kids' lives that she swore on are worth the raise. Terrible thing for human beings to do. The "Guaranteed for life" slogan is no longer representative of the company. Slogan is now "furniture for less, aka cheap." Go to Big Lots if you want cheap and better quality. At least you don't have to deal with liars with no morals. Stand behind your promises and please don't lie to my face.
Updated on 06/15/2017: Ok I posted in May on my sectional's corner piece, well Kane's did call me, she said all the appropriate things, such as she believed I was telling the truth and didn't think I would abuse furniture, but said this corner piece was "abused", she never seen it, going off a report that was read to me and never mentioned abuse, and then later they changed wording??? Secondly manager said this is his best selling sectional, and no complaints??? Lies - they no longer sell this sectional, wonder why?? Third they call and tell me I can have the one existing corner piece, get this, they want me to pay $99 no warranties, that was sitting in showroom for three years.
I was almost ready to take his deal when my family stepped in and convinced me why would I want to spend another dollar on this subpar furniture?? Maybe if they honored their word and instead of backing it up with lies, but for a crummy $99 they lost a $6000 customer. You almost had me Kane's, I've had most of my furniture for 10-15 years, still perfect in this designer's house and I find it hard to believe that this one piece that was fixed at year one, because of subpar structure was so badly abused by my family, and even had the nerve to accuse the family dog, jeez how far will they go for $99??

After two years on our floor one couch's electric recliner isn't working and in between the couch's cushions and under the armrest is peeling.
Kane's will not do anything for us, saying the leather isn't covered by any guarantee. They still insist the leather is all leather and does not contain any bonded material. The area that is peeling is as thick as plastic wrap over a white cloth. We are stuck with junk yet it is incredible that the parking lot is filled with people shopping at the store. We also had problems with dinette chairs coming loose and the wood under the cushion breaking. This was at the very beginning and they did fix them. Don't waste your money. Reason - unappropriated installation by Kane's employees. They didn't adjustment this piece of furniture. I got completely destroyed beautiful the China set for 6 person from Europe, crystal bowl (heirloom about 60 years old), deep scratches at floor and furniture and a other stuff were damaged. At least it cost me $1,000. 3 month I spend for calls, emailing each other, waiting...eventually for nothing. They are denied the claim. That is they reason: "the claim was denied. I purchased 2 couches 6/3/2012. Main reason for the purchase was because "Sam" the salesman said that the warranty covered everything on the leather couches. 4 years into the ownership the couches almost at the same time started to crack and the peel. The back of one peeled right off and the seat of the other cracked and peeled. Both were "leather". I contacted Kane's for the warranty claim. They said it could not be repaired and that they would give me $500.00 store credit and free delivery. BECAUSE it was not under warranty for peeling. The corp office person totally unyielding and unsympathetic. NO way I will buy from them ever again. Don't waste your money on the UV3 protection package.

We purchased a stool that was height adjustable. After little usage the stool would creep up to full height. We returned it to the store and they put a (apparent) new lower section on the stool. When we got home the new stool would still go rise up but at a much faster rate (in a couple of hours). Again we returned this time. The manager got irate, told us tough and told us to take our stool and get out of the store. To which we did and will never return. Very very poor customer relations from the manager in the Lakeland Florida store.

Kane's will never be in my favor again. I had ordered 37 pieces completing a master bedroom, formal dining, and Family room. Defects found in several pieces have been reported to Corporate Customer Service and they said that the damage described was not covered under the warranty. I will start off with the dining room. The table has fingerprints in the paint and flaws on 4 of the six chairs. The tables for the family room have bubbling in the wood of the cocktail table, sofa table and end table. They were only 6 months old when I noticed the problem now the bubbles are getting larger. The Sofa had a hole in the "Cardboard" of the left armrest that was fixed by balling up more cardboard and placing it over the hole and tacking the fabric back down leaving excess fabric and a ripple in the batting.
Going into the bedroom, the set that I had fallen in love with, also has problems. The side rail on the right of the bed is stained poorly and very noticeable. The drawer’s hardware is causing rubbing and grinding on the wood resulting in wear marks of the wood and drawer. There is so much wrong with this furniture I can go on for days, but it is not just the quality of the product, it’s also the service which I was given after the sale. I was told that nothing will be done with my furniture and that everything that is wrong is not covered by the warranty when the salesman stated if ANYTHING was wrong, it would be replaced. I felt betrayed and taken advantage of. I wanted so badly for Kane’s to restore my faith in their company but they have failed, nothing has been done to do it. Why? “Quality so good, it's guaranteed for life”?

Of course they say it's a lifetime warranty. Well, my significant other watches TV at night on it. I do cover it for protection just in case. Well, when we have company I take off the sheet and it looks faded but it's not. No sun there. I have been around and around with them. They already have a lawsuit for the bonded leather and they won't cover this. They want all 6 pieces for exchange of $600 credit... ha no way. It's polyester. It shouldn't do this. Good thing I don't have kids and animals. Can you imagine what it would look like? I would highly suggest not to buy anything there because they do not back up their warranty. I told them they should advertise it still. They are liars.

After he left the back fell down again. I found a handful of screws and things on the floor. When I called to explain, I was told it was normal wear. When we tried to move it, a long steel piece caused a large groove in our hardwood floor. Then I called again, Jessie ** told me that his techs were afraid of me and would not return. Now I am a large guy (not fat) and cannot walk. My voice is deep and carries a long way. I am confined to the wheelchair or the hospital bed, but even so they afraid of ME? OMG, no stars for this store at all. I had to put one star because they require at least 1 star. LOL!!! I will never go to Kane's Furniture ever again. I went there looking for end tables and couch. I walked in the door and a salesperson immediately hovered over us. I asked where the clearance center was and he pointed to it. When I walked into the area, he then said they do not deliver anything in clearance center. Gee, he could have told us that before we walked all the way over there. I asked what the delivery charge was and he said $120 or $122, I can't remember.
Still hovering over us, I then went to their main floor and looked at their end tables and cocktail tables. I found a set that I liked and asked if they had any sales going on. His response "NO", and then I asked if they had any discounts for military or senior or AARP and he said "NO. NOTHING." I put those in caps because he was very stern when saying it! I then asked if he had any of the tables I wanted in stock and he said NO. I said, "so, then we HAVE to pay for delivery?" and he said yes. He then went on to say that we have to put it together. UNREAL!!! I left there and went back to Haverty's which is where I found a beautiful couch and I also found a cocktail table that I absolutely love! I'd like to share all of you my bad experience with Kane's Furniture so you get DECEIVED as me. In October 2013, I purchased a metal dining set from Kane's which should have a lifetime warranty. I called them last month to report a problem with one of the chair's legs that had been bended over or tilted due to their bad quality and material. Last week a technician came, took pictures and told me wait for a phone call from the store with a response.
After few days, one of the store managers called me to let me know that we won't be able to fix or exchange the chair since it's not manufacturing defect. After like more than 20 minutes of talking with her on the phone trying to understand how metal can be easily bended over or tilted like that and it should be stronger than this, it was useless talking anymore. When you go to their store they try as hard as they could to convince you that their products have lifetime warranty but in reality this is not true. My wife purchased a bedroom suit and iComfort mattress from Kane's 2 years ago, keeping the receipt on file just in case. Less than 6 months later, the Serta mattress began to sag on the right side and became hard on the left side. On August 27, 2016, we called Kane’s and requested a warranty check on the bed, still having the receipt, requesting that someone come check out the problem.
The rep responded as scheduled and after verifying and taking pictures of the mattress, but never sitting or laying on the bed to feel the sag, explained that there was a single tag missing, and stated that the King (iComfort) mattress had a history of problems in this same area. (I believe that he did not think I was listening when he was trying to impress me with his mattress knowledge.) He stated that his report would be turned in on September 2nd, 2016 because it would take a day for him to write the report, but we should hear something back within 48 hours.
On the same date (09/01/2016) a Kane's rep contacted us and stated that they would gladly come back out and place a "support" (whatever that is) between the mattress and box springs, but would not replace the mattress. What is weird is that the rep blamed the mattress failure on the bottom support rails of the bed frame, which was also purchased at "Kane's", as a set, delivered and set up by Kane's employees, at the same time she bought the mattress and box springs.
Keeping in mind that the entire set (furniture and mattress/box springs) was purchased from Kane's in Brandon, Florida, the rep was not interested in looking at the receipt and only focused on the single missing tag, and the wooden supports, which came with the bed as a lower mattress support. I would advise anyone looking for furniture, especially a mattress, not to purchase anything from Kane's. There is no warranty and no customer care. But you may get "free support" for a sagging mattress???

I gave this facility 2 stars only because, unlike other reviews I've read, Kane's did partially work towards a resolution of the original problem. In April of 2012 we purchased a "leather" sofa and loveseat from Kane's of Brandon. This sofa and loveseat were for a formal living room that is used maybe 2 times a year (holidays). By late 2015 both pieces of furniture were peeling and cracking.
We contacted Kane's, where they told us to email in a complaint with pictures attached. When we received a response, the only thing we were told is it's not covered under the warranty. I reread the warranty and realized that they were correct on that, but decided to contact the leather warranty company just to see if they could help (we had purchased the UUV3 kit with it). The leather warranty company told us they only cover accidental spills or tears, not manufacturing problems. We decided to deal with it, because in the writing we had it did state that cracking and peeling wasn't covered.
Fast forward to June 2016. It wasn't until then that I heard of the Southern Motion (I believe that's the name) lawsuit with Kane's, or of the bonded leather issue. After researching the lawsuits and information I decided to reach out to Kane's again, where they informed us they would give us a $400 credit towards a new sofa and loveseat. While I didn't find that very helpful (not even the cheapest set in clearance costs under $800) we just couldn't stand the peeling furniture any longer. Kane's did give us $428 and free delivery for our problems, and our salesman was wonderful (Marcelo). I wouldn't ever pay full price for furniture from there again. (We also made sure not to purchase anything leather this time.)

Approximately three weeks ago, I made the mistake of going to Kane's Clearwater store. The sales person was Victoria. I was interested in purchasing an area rug and three barstools. Victoria steered me to a clearance area for rugs. I was under the impression the rugs were simply discontinued models. The rugs were hanging in the corner of the store and under dim lighting. I picked out a rug. Supposedly, it was originally $599 marked to down to $299. I took the rug home and did not unroll it as it was going to go into a new place I was moving into.
Two days later, I receive an email receipt from Kane's saying the rug was sold "as is". This was never mentioned to me by Victoria or the fact, as it turns out it was a floor sample. This, of course, prompted me to unroll the rug. To my dismay it was filthy. It was obviously on the floor of the store as a display rug with customers walking on it. I called customer service (what a joke). I told them my issue. They did allow $60 to have the rug cleaned. It ended up my bill was $90. Plus I had to take it to the rug cleaners and pick it up. The warehouse in St. Pete was holding the bar stools. Having been screwed over once, I asked what the delivery charge would be (my new apartment is 5 miles from the warehouse). I was informed $120. Since the purchase was on my credit card, I immediately cancelled the order but not before asking if there would "be a restocking fee". Luckily, the answer was no. Now I have a $300 + used area rug.
After the cleaning by a professional oriental rug cleaning company, it lost some of its sheen. Talk about getting screwed over. The day I purchased these items was the same day Kane's appeared on the front page of the Tampa Bay Times regarding the class action suit brought against them by other dissatisfied customers. Unfortunately, I did not read the article until after my purchase. When you go to Kane's the old adage "buyer beware" could not be more true. PS. I would NEVER purchase anything from this store again. It was the worst customer service I have ever experienced and every step of the way was a complete nightmare. Where to start... I have been looking for a specific color and size dining room set for my home and after looking at numerous furniture stores, ended up at Kane's in Clearwater on US 19. Our Sales person's name was Dane and he was your typical pushy salesperson, trying to get you to buy as much as possible and get you out the door so he can meet his quota/make his commission. Be careful when he tells you that "things are included," because they are not. Make sure to get a breakdown from him before buying anything, because he adds things on there, but keeps saying they are included. This is not the best approach to establishing a relationship with a customer.
We had plans on purchasing additional furniture there, but after over horrible experience, that is not going to happen. We ended up buying a dining room set with 4 chairs and a matching sideboard, and bought this only because it was what we have been looking for, but I honestly couldn't wait to get out of that store. We didn't want to pay the delivery fee of over $125 so when we asked about picking it up, he said everything would be in boxes and we would need to assemble each piece, which we were fine with. That was issue #1. The table and chairs were ready to pick up first, so we drove 40 minutes to the Warehouse, and contrary to what Dane told us, all 4 chairs were put together, which as you can imagine, take up a lot of space.
Luckily, my boyfriend has a large SUV and all 4 chairs and the table fit in there (barely), but had we had know that ahead of time, we would have brought some sort of blankets to prevent our new furniture from getting scratched. So then we receive a call a week later saying the sideboard is now ready to pick up. Again, we drove 40 minutes to the warehouse to pick it up, which is fine as we decided to do so. We waited for over a half hour when a lady came out and said "sorry, we do not have it in inventory." Mind you, they just called me the day before, less than 24 hours ago, and now it's not there? That was issue #2. I called the store and they explained this was an internal computer issue. Well, that's not my problem and that is something they need to address on their end.
Okay, so then another few days goes by and again, we receive a call saying the sideboard is ready to be picked up. Before driving to the warehouse again, I called to double check it is actually there this time, which they did confirm. So, once again, we drove to the warehouse and waited 40 minutes or so. They brought out a big box this time and stuck it in our SUV. We drove back home, relieved that we finally have everything we purchased, and started to assemble it. Well what do you know, there was a large scratch in the wood, right on the front of this thing, clear as day. That was issue #3.
By this time, as you could imagine, I was extremely frustrated and disappointed. I called Kane's to explain what happened. I was not going to put all these pieces back together in the box, and drive AGAIN to their warehouse, because that is ridiculous at this point. They asked me if we had inspected it before we drove home. Are you kidding me? We were supposed to stand there and take it out of the box and inspect each piece one by one? What a joke. Customers should not have to do that. Maybe they should inspect everything BEFORE they box them and ship them to the warehouse. Just a thought. They agreed to send out a delivery truck with a new sideboard, and replace the current damaged one.
Another week or so goes by and the delivery came. Knowing that the last one was damaged, we made sure to have this one taken out of the box and inspected before they left. And what do you know, that one had 4 separate scratches on it. Unbelievable. I once again called Kane's and they said they could send out a "Repair guy" to attempt to fix this. Another week and half goes by, and the guy came out and was luckily able to repair the scratches. He was actually the nicest person out of everyone with this company and was very professional.
All in all, from the day we bought the furniture, to the time we actually had everything in our home, a month had gone by and I was over this entire process. I have purchased numerous pieces of furniture over the past couple months as we just bought a larger home and Kane's was the only company we had issues with. Yes, their prices were the cheapest, but clearly there is a reason why. I would have rather spent twice the money and not have had to deal with the continuous headaches. I would absolutely NEVER return to this store again and I have told all of my friends and family to NEVER visit this store either. It was absolutely the worst customer service of my life. I would tell anyone to go anywhere, but Kane's. I felt the need to write this review so that other people know what they are getting themselves into here. Don't waste your time or money, go to any other furniture store!!!

This issue has been resolved. Although the Kane's repairman initially told me (by telephone) that he would only replace the one shelf, and we would have to wait about a week for the new unit that was promised that day, he continued to replace parts (3 of 5) until the unit was in perfect condition. My Mom is extremely happy now and says the entertainment center "is just beautiful." It could have and should have been easier but in the end, they did the right thing to make the customer happy.

We had an entertainment center delivered to my elderly Mother, while we were visiting from out-of-state. The delivery person tried to leave with a shelf not attached properly. My Sister brought it to their attention and the deliver person said "Oh, yeah, it isn't fitting right. I don't know why. You will have to call and schedule a repair." WHAT?? We spoke with customer service and they said it would take nearly 2 weeks to get someone out. I expressed that it was totally unacceptable so they agreed to send an entire new unit out the next day. We had to leave to come home and I just received a call from my Mom that they sent someone to "repair" the shelf instead. When I spoke with their repairman, he said they could bring out a new unit but it will "take longer."
I am FURIOUS with this company! They are completely taking advantage of an elderly customer and I would recommend to never shop with this company. Obviously, we are having the unit returned (the repairman was unable to fix the unit). I guess we will see how long it takes to get this heap of garbage out of her living room.

Purchased Loveseat, Couch and recliner in August, 2014 along with the UUV3 on all three pieces for $2,501.79. In February, 2016 I noticed a bulge in the lower backside of the recliner. Called Kane's and they sent a tech to my house. I asked that the chair be repaired or replaced. The next day Kane's called to tell me that this was not under warranty and was normal wear and tear of the product. I was told that the back piece staples had pulled away from the frame. I asked if they could repair the chair because I believed it was a structural defect. I was told "Absolutely not" by their tech people. Once again I confirmed that they would not do anything and that I believed this was a structural issue. I am a senior citizen and have rarely used this chair in the last 18 months.
Kane's gave me the name of an outside furniture repair service to call. I did not use the firm they recommended, however did engage a furniture repair service from Angie's List. Fearful that if they wouldn't stand behind their Lifetime Guarantee, I certainly wasn't going to use someone they recommended. The furniture repair services determined that the lower part of the chair was constructed with particle board. The recliner metal frame attaches to the lower back frame that is made with the particle board. This is where the back pulled away from the particle board and caused the buckle. Kane's should not be allowed to advertise Lifetime guarantee when they look for every reason to not guarantee the furniture they sell. Now I am stuck with a chair that cannot be used at all and out the money I paid. I have the original purchase invoice.

I purchased over $6,000 worth of furniture from Kane's in 2009. At the time, one of the big selling points was their "lifetime frame warranty." Now, one of the dining room chairs has broken, and they are telling me that the warranty only started in 2010, so I am not covered and the set has been discontinued, so I'm out of luck. Beware. Record what they tell you and get a signed agreement about everything they promise. Better advice - go somewhere else. I'm surprised the Tampa Bay Rays allow their brand to be associated with this company.

I bought bedroom set at the Brandon store in June of last year. It was a very nice set and my wife was very happy with the purchase and its use. About a month ago I noticed two hairline cracks coming down the left lower side of the bed's baseboard touching our ceramic tile. Well I told my wife not to worry cause this furniture is "Guaranteed for Life" as the companies commercials run day-after-day. They sent an inspector out to our house within a few days to take some pictures of the cracks. Within about two days a rep called from Kane's telling us that the cracks were not a part of the manufacturer but that it was caused from our neglect, namely our vacuum cleaner. I got upset with them because I have ceramic tile not carpeting. They still insisted it was our fault and the bottom line was that they would not cover the replacement. I told them just like their furniture is guarantee for life, so is our whole family not using any of their stores again for life.

When my niece and I bought a few thousand dollars in furniture the salesman indicated we could save money if we used someone he recommended. The delivery was a disaster. The man from "Small Haul" got extremely upset when he went into my bedroom and saw my adjustable bed sitting there. There was a light headboard but it was detached. He was under the impression he had to bolt the headboard to the bed. l told him I had an adjustable bed and all he had to do was put the headboard, side rails, and footer together and put it around. He indicated I was incorrect... That he had to bolt the bed together and it would take him all day. He also indicated that I should have cleared everything and that he had to move the whole house... And he went on and on. He was referring to an 8-pound glass table and a disconnected 6-pound headboard... Everything else I had cleared.
When I told him the salesman told us not to worry as the delivery man would do EVERYTHING... He said it was not up to the salesman but that I should have known... And he went on and so on. Finally I calmly told him if there was one more problem, just take everything back to the store whereas he said, "I have done too much work. They will have to pick it up." At that point I had no choice but to be quiet and wait until he had finished. By the way, all he did was put the headboard, etc. around the adjustable bed after all, no bolts needed. Then, being by myself, a 67 year old woman, when he indicated payment to be $120 I paid him, I was concerned for my safety if I had not. As he was leaving I asked for the paperwork as I had planned to write "Refused furniture but forced to keep" whereas the delivery man said there were no papers.
Throughout this process I called the salesman who apologized and then found me at fault. I called the store manager about refusing everything but being forced to keep it... And that I expected Kane's to come get it. Initially he was apologetic and said he would called corporate and arrange a truck. But when I called hours later, he said he had talked to the delivery man and our stories were different. Really? The manager said I had a contract between the delivery man and so this issue was between him and me. I told him I had nothing in writing whereas he said, "You paid him. So you had a contract."
It did not matter when I told him that I was concerned about that very thing so asked Kane's if I was protected by using Small Haul as if I had used their delivery people and the answer was yes. Still the store manager repeated, "You paid him. So you are under contract with him." Matter that, this being of concern. So I would very much warn against using any other personnel to deliver your furniture other than the actual business' delivery men. And I would suggest you buy furniture from Kane's (301 Sarasota) at your own risk... Buyer beware. I will be writing a letter to the Better Business Bureau.

We purchased a complete houseful of furniture about a year ago, although since we are snowbirds, it has only been used for approximately 6 months. The couch, matching chair and ottoman already looks like it is 10 years old. We informed Kane's since we were told it had a lifetime guarantee only to be told it is "normal wear". Since there are only 2 adults using it, I find that unbelievable. Their guarantee is useless. We are very unhappy with Kane's response. I will not be buying anything else from them.
